Xeke quickly stared back up to Pepper as she told him him to calm down. He gave her an intense glare, but then stopped and shook his head. He looked down at Koda and realized he was lifting him in the air. He promptly placed him down and backed away from him. "I'm sorry." he said to him. He then looked back to Pepper. "I'm sorry, your right. It's just, he's all I got you know. He's all Ive ever had. I don't.........sorry." He turned away from them, head hanging low, yet his body stiff. He had never felt such a rush of so many emotions before. He knew the obvious answer was that he was killed, but it was just too hard for Xeke to believe. His uncle was a tough old son of a bitch. He had seen him take down 3 Balthoran gang bangers down with nothing but a lug wrench. It was too hard to believe he was dead. Xeke shook himself of the thought. He quickly wiped away the buds of water forming at his corneas. He turned back to Pepper and saluted. "Right Cap, I'm going to send out my Shot Bots to secure a perimeter." He then turned back to Koda as he was going to Earme's mech. "Good to see you again." He then turned and leaped into his cockpit and shut the hatch. He primed his Shot Bots and launched them out of the many tubes of the Starshot. Dozens of small round robots flew off in every direction and screens began popping up inside the cockpit. Now Xeke could see everything within about 5 miles, give or take a few kilometers.

While he was monitoring the perimeter, Xeke's thoughts ever strayed to his father, or should he say his uncle. Rico always hated it when he called him his father, due to the fact he has a lot og guilt about what happened to his aunt and cousin and feels like he's replacing them, which he understood. Except, when he wasn't around or when he was out of ear shot, he would call him dad. His uncle raised him since birth and fed and clothed him and loved him, all by himself. Technically, Xeke and him weren't even blood related. And the only tie they had was dead, so Rico had no responsibility to take Xeke, but he did. He was more of a father to him than his real father was. He had never even met his real father, mainly due to the fact that his real father wants nothing to do with him and probably pretends that he was a bad dream. Being a bastard in the Human or Balthoran culture now a days wasn't that big of a deal. But, in the Xial Empire, it was a very big deal. Intelligence is the trait that the Xialens revere the most. So intelligence is passed through the bloodline, it's how jobs and roles get taken over, they are succeeded by their children. But if a child is born in between two families, he has no place and is their for doomed to have no future. Rico......gave him a future, and a father.....and a friend.

Xeke quickly slapped himself in the face and shook his head. "Focus fly boy, you've got a job to do." He tapped into the controls of one of his shot bots that was hovering just above their mechs. He started to speak through it to Pepper. "The perimeter is secure cap, but I need the cockpit to remain close for me to optimally monitor it, so if you need to talk to me, just yell at this little Shot Bot." He shut off his mic and leaned back in his chair. He was a little overwhelmed with all of this. He needed to relax a bit. He synched his goggles with the perimeter field and set them to go off if it was broken. He shut off the screens and the pilot light. He laid back in complete darkness and closed his eyes. He be steadied his breathing and began to relax. He needed to calm down if he was going to be any use in a fight. What Xeke needed now, was rest.

Earme riled at Peppers berating return to his opinion, missing the intention in her voice entirely. His pride stung Earme restrained from retaliating. focusing on the task at hand as he clambered down to the Arc Angel's cockpit. He did not favour climbing down the Titan's arm, to do so would mean he would have to travel over the barrels of his twin HPCs, which is not the most secure of tasks. He dropped next to Pepper and broke his access into the control panel. The Arc Angel was also a Davion design and the second heir of the great industry was confident that the communication systems were duplicates, or at least similar to the systems of the Titan. His confidence was well placed, the radio systems was the same double chip layout. He set to work disentangling the primary chip, eyes set firmly on the task as he shouted up to Koda now aboard the Titan "Focus on the radar." He called, unnecessarily advising the man on his course of action. "I have got the radio at least functional."

His active hands ceased, the radio was now rewired, bypassing the complex encryption and control chip. He replaced the paneling and handed the small communications ship to Pepper. His violet eyes met her as he was slightly startled to find a great sense of control in her green irises. He began to wonder if her position as leader was more deserved then he initially thought. He still housed doubts and so the thoughts were shut away. "Alright" He began, explaining his actions "I've rigged the system so that the radio uses the default frequency of the antenna to transmit and receive. Like this the frequency is broad and unencrypted, so anyone can pick up signals. Also, will be able to hear everything received in that range of frequency. There will be a lot of static, yet we should be able to hear each other well enough. This is the best I can do. I still don't think we have time to repair both the radar and radio systems completely. We should get back to base ASAP." With his opinion voice he moved away, trying to flag down the balthoran so he could work on her mecha. The Shredder was also Davion design and could be rigged the same way.

Xeke's announcement through his drone caught Earme's attention, he was slightly comforted by the fact they were at least partially secure. Outside the shell of the Titan he felt weak and vulnerable, specially with the way things had escalated. With the Xial's final comment Earme realized a small but vital technicality. "Wait!" He shouted up to the waiting droid "You've got communication with those things, bring one of them down here. We may be able to use the chips." There was a long shot that they would be suitable replacements, the chips would no doubt be more complicated then simple encrypters. Also, Xekariel's mecha wasn't Davion and so the antennae systems or the the command systems wouldn't be compatible.

Kennith Alexander Westwood

Little six year old Kenny bawled while burring his face in the sofa. He suddenly felt a strong slap on the back of his head. “Why ya crying like a pussy? I only needed my personal maid until I was four!” Kenny looked up, face red and covered in tears to see his two big brothers looking down at him. Grant, the second oldest a fourteen was the one who had hit him and was now laughing. William at seventeen stood a few feet behind him, looking disappointed. “Leave the weakling alone Grant, he’s not worthy of our time.” Grant looked back at the eldest brother. “Ha, your right, who cries over the death of someone that can so easily be replaced any……”

The flashback that had been brought on by the cold liquid on his now wet face was interrupted as warning sensors sounded in his cockpit. His mind snapping back into focus, Kennith barely had time to react with his mecha as the energy projectiles flew up at him. They graized the side of Five-seven and though the shielding took most of the impact, but it was slightly damaged as the cockpit lurched. As Kenneth regained control of the mecha, he looked in the direction that the blasts had come from. Spotting the source of the attack, a strange mecha, he suddenly felt a rage build up in the center of his chest. This was one of the bastards that had destroyed the city and academy.

“They, they were gunna worship me, they were gunna all say I was the best and that I could do anyting!” His mind raced as he activated his weapons systems. “They were gunna care for me more than anyone else. But now…….“The Five-seven unattached the two energy-blades from it’s waist, and activated them in each hand. “They're gone and never coming back. Now that will never happen, now I’ll be alone and no one will see how great I am!” The Five seven fried several rockets, that broke apart into about twenty smaller rockets after their launch. They exploded before they reached the Parasite mecha, blocking their mutual visibility of each other. “You took them, You took them from me. They were mine and you took them. I’ll, I’ll………” The Five-Seven shot down out of the sky in the direction of the other mecha holding it’s energy blades behind it, ready to slice the enemy into bits. “ARHHHHHAHHHHHHHHHHHH, I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU!” Kennith roared inside the cockpit as the Five-seven broke through the smoke cloud left by the cluster rockets.

Nimea Val' cha

ImageNimea stared, her eyes deadpan, at the mecha above her, sword still pointing up. There was one conclusion she could derive from just watching it, the mecha was a weakling, and the one piloting it was one too. The blasts she had fired were only to grab its attention, to prompt it to come and attack. Well after barely dodging the energy blasts the mecha did attack, but fired missiles from too far away, she kept entirely still, watching them explode and shaking her head in disappointment as she the screen attached to her headpiece showed her that the mecha was charging, she veered off to the far left under the plume of smoke, and allowed it to come. The unit type was speedy, and under normal circumstances she would have to be careful in order to try and parry the attacks, as dodging was not usually possible, but this mecha was not wise in its use of tactic against a slower and larger powerhouse.

The unit soared past, while Seraphim’s hand grabbed a hold of it from behind, she spun around in a full circle and sent it soaring above from where it came, this time however, she fallowed it. For some strange reason left unknown to her, Nimea was getting angry, or annoyed was more like it. The mecha she had just fought was a true warrior, one that made her think, one that woke her up during this battle, made her body tingle. And then this…this, thing shows up and dares to engage in such a way? She glared as she caught up to the spinning mecha, grabbing its arm and about to throw it a second time in a short spurt of rage, but before she could make the throw the unit activated some sort of thruster of its own, a bubble of magnetic pull spiraled under it and jammed it forward, she did not let go of the arm.

And the mecha ended up much farther from her in a matter of seconds, missing an arm and energy blade for its trouble. The bubble dispersed and Nimea stared after it, she had seen no weapon or modification like that before in any of the other units she had fought, or they surely would have used it. ’Mother, I have found something interesting in a most unlikely model.’ she reported, zooming in her visual and cameras, recording it and identifying the parts of the machine, she’d have to capture it for full scans, she moved to do so, but instead a large ship blocked her, even forcing her to back off. Her eye widened for only a moment before they narrowed, furiously activating the hum of her jamming frequency she roared at full blast, the noise able to be heard as a high screech from quite the distance. It did nothing to stop the ship, she fired at it, shields blocked her. ’Brethren! Attack!’she ordered, her brothers obeying her wish, but simply unable to get close to the ship. Her teeth barred, she watched in annoyance as her target was pulled away with the ship, under a beam.

’Brother…this feeling, I feel like you do when you fight, only worse, much more…angry. How do I fix it brother?’ She barked telepathically to him, looking to him for advice once more. ’I WANTED that unit, it had something useful for mother!’ she kicked out and growled in her cockpit, breathing hard and fidgeting, unsure of what to do with herself, she had never encountered being so distressed before.

Kennith Alexander Westwood

As the Five-seven sped towards the enemy winged mecha, Kennith let out another loud yell as he swung both of the energy blades. However, is rage was quickly replaced with surprise as the parasite dodged the head on attack easily, grabbing the Five-seven by the back leg. Kennith let out a shout as he and the Five-seven where spun around and launched into the air, followed closely by the enemy mecha. “Damn it!” Kennith yelled as he flew through the air, trying to regain control of the Five-seven. “Why didn’t I hit it?” He wondered as he righted the Five-seven and gained the reward for his distracted mind-set, the enemy grabbed his arm.

“FUCK YOU!” Kennith screamed as he noticed the winged mech had grabbed the Five-seven’s left arm. Thinking quickly he noticed that the MMFPU system was still running. Disabling the override, he threw the system into manual, kicked it up to 1/8th power and pounding the activation button. As the magnetic bubble was generated, Kennith yelled “YOU CANT HOL…….” His shout was cut off as the breath was knocked out of him when the Five-seven began it’s jump.

However, the winged mecha was still tightly gripping the Five-seven’s arm and the metal joint was shredded on the atomic level. When the jump finished, the Five-seven took the damage hard as a small explosion erupted inside the left shoulder. The catastrophic failure of the arm’s joint had occurred so quickly that the Five-seven’s system did not have time to quarantine the site of damage causing the joint’s components to overcharge. The small sub dermal explosion spread through the right side of the Five-seven and eventually reached the cockpit before the quarantine protocol was able to recognize it. The cockpit lurched at the explosion and electricity shot through the console and controlling mechanism.

As Kennith opened his eyes he saw that the cockpit was dark and smoky, the only visibility enabled by the blinking red emergency lights. Recovering from the blast, Kennith coughed as he inhaled some of the smoke and looked up at the controls. The screens were dead and he as he grabbed for the control mechanism he felt a sharp pain in his left side. Looking down he noticed dark red spreading through his suit around a small shrapnel wound his left gut. “Damn it.” he gasped pressing on the wound with his left hand and grabbing at the controls with the right. They were unresponsive as the Five-seven continued hovering in the air on backup auto-pilot. Slamming his right fist into the dead controls bellowing. “NO!” IM NOT DONE YET!”

As he finished he looked down at his hand and suddenly his head became fuzzy when he saw his entire palm covered in blood. “No, I don’t want this, I don’t want to die.” he thought, not able to form the words as his breaths became more shallow. He felt the cockpit lurch once more as the Five-seven was taken in by a tractor beam. “Wait, no……don’t kill me……..please.” he begged silently as he lost consciousness and was dragged off by the carrier. When the carrier arrived at the squad, the tractor beam released the damaged Five-seven. It hovered above the trees, eerily silent and not responding to anything. The backup AI opened the cockpit so the pilot could exit the disabled craft as it concluded that the mecha was not under attack.

Pepper felt kind of useless right now, Earme was successfully getting her systems working and Xeke was helping by pushing the thoughts of his Uncle aside and putting out his scout bots. One hovered close to her in case she needed to talk to him, but while no one knew that Xeke’s thoughts were in fact not clear and he was trying to sort them out, he had no time. A high pitch screech that was faint caught Pepper’s ears as she spoke to Earme and Tami, “Damn lucky this is working! Tamaki get over here so he can start on your systems! We should be able to leave in a few sec-what is that noise?”

Pepper wriggled a finger in her ears, as if trying to dig out earwax. That was when a carrier came into view, and the screeching stopped suddenly. Shit it was an actual carrier! The thing was huge, and as it passed trees to get to the clearing the thing mowed them to an equal height. The carrier had been at school for about two years, kids training to one day operate these things got to take it out for a spin every month or so, it was always an impressive sight, a ship as big as the Academy itself. If a carrier came to get them the school was fine right? It was on its way to stop the Parasites in the city right?

It approached the team slowly, stopping above them from about ten meters, and it’s hanger door opening from the belly, as if to beckon them in. “Look who’s come to the rescue! Get inside you guys. Xeke a carrier has come to get us, I think the school is just fine!” She tapped on the bot happily, yelling into it a tad louder than necessary in her excitement. It felt like a huge weight being lifted from her shoulders. She sighed in relief, happy with herself for making it through this horrible ordeal. Adults and experienced people were going to take over from here on in.

Then she caught sight of Five-Seven, he was way farther down, caught in the ship’s tractor beam and dangling lifelessly. “WAIT Is that Kennith?! KENNITH! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?” She called after him, her worst fear after sending him off being realized now. “No no no, what’s going on?!” She ran a hand through her hair, jumping down into her cockpit and powering up. It looked like Earme was finished; Tamaki and everyone else had basic radio now. Pepper made use of it.

“Alright everyone, into the hanger, I’ll go check out Kennith’s Mech, it looks like it got trashed but I’m sure he’s inside and ok, maybe the school was attacked but everyone is safely inside, Kennith included…” She flew straight up, making a turn to go inspect the Five-Seven.

When she reached it she saw one arm had been yanked off completely, probably eaten by those Parasite scum. She was thankful that the carrier had saved his butt. But upon reaching the Five-Seven’s cockpit she saw a sight she shouldn’t have to, Kennith was still in his cockpit, bleeding and unconscious. Pepper gasped and yelled his name, no response. She did the only thing she could think of and brought the Arch angel’s cockpit as close as she could, jumping over into his and trying not to step on Kennith. His cockpit was pretty damn small, only for one person to maneuver properly. She did the best she could do in being gentle, but he was also heavy, and she was much smaller than him. “UGH, don’t you dare be dead, and don’t you dare on Kennith! If you do I’ll drag you back from wherever you went and kick your butt!” Somehow after minutes of toil she managed to get herself seated and him sprawled her, almost blocking her view. Normally she would have said something like “Damn you’re fat Kennith.” Or “Stop crushing meeee.” But now she was more worried than in a mood to joke with herself.

She reached the hanger, it stayed open and they began moving, turning around and going back to the Academy. “Someone help! Kennith is hurt and I can’t move him anymore!” She walked Arch Angel to one of the stations set up for MFU storage, where there was a caged off platform that carried people up and down from their Mechs. “He’s alive, but bleeding.” She could feel him breathing since he was on top of her. “Hang in there Kennith, we’re getting you over to the sick bay.” She said quietly to him, not even sure he could hear her.

“And where is everyone? I only see other training mechs in here…shouldn’t our teacher’s MFUs be in here too?”

Ba'al clutched the controls of his Mech, thinking. "..." What could be done? The shields on a ship were meant to withstand great forces...but if too much strain was put upon them, then the shield generators would either be forced to shut down or overheat and explode. He smiled. Sister, you have the right idea. A few groups will do nothing...but what of an entire Horde? He gave a laugh, both in mental connection and physically. Brethern! All of you! Retrieve the Mech from the Scum's ship! The entire horde, with the exception of a small group who were under more direct orders, broke off their attack and flew toward the ship, attacking the sheilds with all firepower available.

As this happened, Ba'al's Mech's arm came apart into pieces again, this time rearranging the gun from the short stubby ion cannon into a lengthier one. "I'll have one shot...but that's all I'll need." He smiled, priming the gun, all of the energy collecting in the barrel for a single discharge. He waited a minute, a bar on his viewscreen showing how much energy was being put into the shot. A sound clicked, speaking in the Kell'rah physical language, stating the charge was complete. With the push of the trigger, the shot tore out of the barrel, slamming into the sheilds, creating a temporary fireworks of ion and plasma. The bad side to this attack was that he, himself, could not move, the shot draining his Mech's main energy cells. Luckily, the T'calla power core would revive and recharge his ship, taking it off of reserve, but for the moment he was unable to do much.

Tamaki Horthorn

Tami stood over the new found civilian choosing to watch the protests and bombardment of questions asked by her team rather than joining in. Each of them were building up tensions, she could hear it in their voices if not their hesitant actions even if that was only by a few seconds.

Was what was happening really reality? Parasites choosing too attack now of all times, what made them decide to make a move after such a long period of dormancy? Something must have changed in their battle systems; it wouldn't surprise her if after all this time those ugly things somehow created some new technology building up their confidence. If they even had any feelings to know what confidence was that is?

Earme jumped from his MFU to Pepper's and began to mess around with her systems as the civilian, named Koda, climbed into Earme's cockpit. It was the best decision she had to admit, Earme's cockpit was large for its size although fitting two people in there was still pushing it, much unlike Tami's own cockpit. She had designed her MFU to have little extra metal in order to increase potential speed outlet, this meant that the metal around her hugged her body almost to the point she was wearing a suit with extended legs and arms not to mention the tail that sprouted from her lower back.
It made movement easy for Tami, she was proud to consider herself one of the more flexible MFU piolets of the team or that Academy. However that was all apart of her fighting style when she used her tail's segments to rip into her enemy.

The panel on the chest of her MFU still open revealing her body Tami nodded at Earme when it was time for him to look at her Radio on Pepper's command. She hadn't managed to get her scanning systems fixed on her own which bugged her immensely. Climbing out of her cockpit Tami lifted herself up on the shoulder of her MFU by the sheer strength in her Balthorian arms. "Make it quick would you, I doubt we have much to waste on this" she spoke looking around the area as a faint array of some sort of screeching sound made her wince and hold her ears for a second to dull it. "What the hell is that racket!?" she said though it was hard to hear over the screeching.

Kennith was taking a while, longer than she had anticipated he would have. Tami wanted to go see for herself what was happening out at the school, she wanted to finally crush something; she hadn't had a good battle in a while since the last weasel that had challenged her. All this fuss about the Radio's was just bothersome and held her back.

As she sat on her MFU trying to handle the annoying noise it stopped just as the sight of a carrier she recognised suddenly charged into view with a beckoning sound. Its size alone was enough to tower over the MFU's by a couple dozen as its tremendous impact sent slight chills down Tami's back. It was the first time she had seen a carrier actually out like this, without warning or planned protocol as they did at least twice a year. It was strange but its presence brought a sense of comfort, as though this whole thing was just another exercise and not reality.

Peppers own relief and excitement only made Tami roll her eyes, was she always that positive? However a sudden panic in her voice captured Tami's attention. Kennith!? He had been inactive too long after all! what did that overconfident idiot get himself into now!

Tami looked up at the carrier above them, flying was never her forte. "Alright, you heard her, get your asses up there, who knows what else is still on this damn floor" she spoke to the others as Pepper didn't waste time in getting to Kennith. "Earme out of the way, we gotta’ move" she grabbed a piece of metal making up her MFU and swung herself straight into the cockpit sitting firmly into position instantly out of habit.
Immediately the chest panel flipped back up covering Tami's body and encasing her in a prison of blinking lights a screen in front of her providing a view on the sights around her.
With the swish of her tail and the bend of her knees Tami pushed off the ground activating her power jets at the soles of her feet as she did creating an incredible force resulting in her MFU being able to jump literally 200 meters and more into the sky. As she neared the carrier her tail swung out and slashed at the open hanger fixing itself onto the craft like a grappling hook before Tami swung herself onboard with graceful flexibility.
"not bad considering I don't have flight I suppose" she shrugged inside her MFU not that anybody could see or hear her at the moment, that was unless Earme had fixed her radio she hadn't actually checked yet.

Suddenly the sound of Pepper returning made Tami turn around; however what she saw in Pepper's cockpit sent alarm bells ringing through her. Was that Kennith? It couldn't be right?
He won't be injured seriously, he couldn't be, these parasites weren't that strong, it’s not like they could do this much damage to Kennith, they were only small insect things after all.
Blood oozed over Kenniths's body, Tami's eyes picked up and she felt herself back away from Pepper for a moment.
He... was injured badly wasn't he...
"P-put pressure on his wound, rip off some cloth from your clothes to do it to stop the bleeding." The panel of her MFU went down again to reveal her face and voice. This was no time for her to be second guessing what was happening was it. "Hurry and put him down on a bed in sick bay, this is common sense when dealing with bleeding!" she barked at Pepper feeling her own anxiety building. "The teachers are probably fighting think about it Pepper! Just concentrate on helping Kennith at the moment!" her stress level was really building.
This wasn't like Tami, in any fight she was notorious for being calm and unfeeling, what was she doing now letting the sight of a little blood get to her. The parasites are nothing, they'll be dead soon, the teachers would be fighting them as they speak surely. Surely they would be?
Yet the eerie feel of the empty MFU around her made her distrust her own thoughts. This... this wasn't happening right? She in no way had ever intended to die for the damn military, she only attended this school because her father did, nothing more.

Earme obeyed Pepper's command with a will, he didn't need any prompting and his task was rather clear. He didn't need her instruction to send him jumping roughly across the small gap between the two machines. Catching himself on the arm and torso he clung to the Shredder. No would fancy a fall from this height, it wouldn't kill and probably wouldn't severally injure but it would be damn painful. Soon enough the Balthorian moved out of his way in an impressive feat of strength. Despite his weight training the human couldn't match the natural ability of the alien race, much to his own anger and disappointment. He settled into the most stable position he could and set to work. The Shredder's canopy was a tight fit. The original was a small space, leading to limited sales of the model but the modifications made to this machine seriously cramped. He didn't dwell on how Tamaki could pilot the machine without suffering a great deal.

Partway through his modification Earme flinched as a furious noise pierced his ear drum. The responses from the others signified that they could hear it too. He attempted to ignore the screeching as he finalised his jury-rigged repair and moved on. The passage back from the Shredder was slightly more complex then the first jump. In order to hold on properly he had to grasp the armature of the machine, leading to an awkward position. The young man didn't concentrate on the drop if he missed his target and pushed off with his powerful legs. He had nowhere near the power of a Balthorian nor the grace of a Xial but boasted an equal sharing of those traits. It was enough to convey him through the empty air and onto the Arc Angel with a thud. The absence of the bizarre ringing and Pepper's overly loud exclamation by his ear caught Astra's attention. He looked skywards to see the impressive shape of the academy's carrier drift above, blocking out a huge portion of the blue sky. What was the academy's training craft doing here of all places? Its presence filled him with foreboding, why would someone activate the craft in the first place? Even so he continued on to the Titan, working his way into his seat and harnessing himself in. "Koda, finish up and get in here!" He called out of the open hatch.

Once the mechanic was safely aboard Earme locked the cockpit, sealing it shut. The radio emitted a light crackle indicating that it was receiving, that was something to be glad about. Holographic HUD's activated, transmitting what showed on his command screens to be more readily accessible. Optic displays lit up, showing Earme everything his machine could see and a little more from peripheral cameras. Weapon systems, shielding and the powerplant checked out as green and fully operational. The Titan turned on the spot, facing the now stationary carrier. Earme didn't like the situation, the crew of the carrier were radio silent and the young man's eyes caught on the inert wreck of his unknown compatriot's mecha. He picked up Pepper's voice through the rough transmitter, her optimism wasn't shared. If Kennith encountered parasites at base then only the worse could be expected. He didn't dwell upon it, instead he focused on the fact that the carrier could be a trap and the mecha, bait. Thrusters fired, propelling the 18 ton machine upwards. Conventional Anti-Mag drives couldn't lift a mecha of this scale alone and required assistance from chemical vent thrusters.

The Titan pulled slowly into the air, it's head trained on the situation above with the 5-7. He picked out Pepper's small frame attempt to wrestle a limp figure from one floating mecha to another. One had to respect how incredibly imbecilic and brave that was, falling from this high the damage would be rather mortal. Her insanity complete Pepper docked in the underbelly of the refitted carrier as Earme's heavy mecha only reached the corpse of the 5-7. Earme scooped the smoking, ruined machine up with his shield arm and boosted into the hanger. He set down with a light thud on the deck, noting at once the absence of the usual crew. He certainly didn't like this. He set his burden down in a rather inelegant heap and backed the Titan into a docking cradle. Already the others had already docked and exited their war machines, attending to the wounded Kennith. Alternatively Earme popped the Titan's protective shell and turned to Koda, "Right, here is where I drop you off." He told the mechanic, not intending to disembark along with his passenger. Someone needed to remain on alert while the others were outside of their mecha.

Rio Rillia

“Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no!” Rio looked on in fear as the winged Sycophant roared with energy, the sound of the furious humming intimidating even from behind the monitors. Clenching her eyes shut, she expected the ship to collapse like all the other systems around. She couldn’t save him…

Dropping her head in her hand, she sighed. At least… At least she tried. Opening her eyes, she blinked once. Then again. Wait… It was okay? Eyes scanning the monitor, she hurriedly sat back into position. The shields weren’t down? Actually… They were perfect! They were even holding up against that Sycophant’s weapons, and even the parasites!

“It… It’s holding stable! That’s amazing!” Stunned for only a moment more, Rio quickly began inputting the coordinates that the Arch Angel team seemed to be holding up at. She wasn’t quite sure how this carrier was immune to that thing… But the fact it was standing up to the parasites was not something she’d be complaining about!

“Now, let’s see here…” Having set the carrier to autopilot to the destination, she began typing away at the keyboard, attempting to work out the camera controls. Finding a way to hack into the security cameras around the ship wasn’t the easiest, but her genius as a Xial, and the fact she was working off the emergency system privileges got her through. Finally able to get a visual on the 5-7, Rio gasped as she was able to assess the extent of the damage – the fact that the cockpit was open, but the pilot had not made a move to exit was more than a little disconcerting.

The next few moments were… Complicated at best. Finding a way to communicate to the Arch Angel team was going to be next to impossible without radio. On top of that, the more and more Rio delved into the carrier’s control systems and security functions, the greater and more complex the structures became. Though the base system was evidently identical to most all human programming, beyond that, the new sub-routines and processes were like nothing she’d ever heard of before – and she’d read up on them all. Human, Xial and even Balthor, an understanding of the design specifications and programming language of each was something she had thought would be important to her career. The fact that this was beyond the scope of her knowledge… Just what was this carrier? Though bits and pieces were familiar to her and recognizable to a degree, whoever managed to combine each of the systems… Well, they were a genius – Even by Xial standards.

Having spent far too long gawking at the complexity of the carrier, Rio finally came to realise that the rest of the Arch Angel team had boarded the hangar. It was a relief to see them all okay, or at that rate, anyone alive. Her mind turning to Jones for a second, she shook it off. There’d be time to check for survivors later – With the company of the Arch Angel team.

“I need to find a way to talk to them…” Rio muttered, watching them explore and look around the hangar. She’d likely end up doing the same when she managed to get on board… The whole thing seemed incredibly sophisticated, and her exploration of the systems proved that. Having had trouble finding a way to communicate with them, Rio took the most logical step, turning the carrier back towards the academy. Hopefully those Sycophants were gone, and she wouldn’t be bringing the MFU’s to their doom…

“Let’s see here… Ah, here we go. I think this is the communications platform… I should be able to broadcast a message over the speakers… Now I just need to set up a way for them to talk back…” Stretching her fingers once before setting back to work, it didn’t take nearly as long to hack one of the bridge terminals so she could view the inputs on her monitor. With that taken care of, it was time to make contact.

“H-hello? Testing? Is this working?” Rio tapped her mic a couple of times, looking back to the security cameras. Well, they were looking around for the source; that seemed to be a good sign. “Um, I’ll take that as a yes… Uh… Let’s see here… This is M3.6 3rd communications officer Rio Rillia speaking.” Despite being the academy, Rio was already well versed in her rank and position, M designating the Mecha Fighters, 3 Operations and 6 Communications.

“Unfortunately this is only one-way communication so I uh, I can’t hear any of you – but I’ve set up a terminal on the bridge which I should be able to read and access if commander um… Hold on a sec…” Rio brought up the details of the Arch Angel’s pilot, seeing as it was the designated team leader. Was that… That ace flyer who was the daughter of the principal? “There we are! Commander Sprucey! Could you head up to the bridge, please? The situation at Academy HQ is… Well… it isn’t pretty…”

Rio trailed off at that point. She wasn’t sure how to break the news that everything was… Well, gone. Looking over the monitor, she noticed the young female pilot look up at her name and speaking with the others. It seemed that was Miss Sprucey, and she had the pilot of the 5-7… No doubt he was injured. Rio was medically trained, but it might be a while before she got there.

“I… I’m so glad to see all of you okay… Though I haven’t been able to assess the damage at all from my position, it… It looks like it was a massacre… Headquarters was…” Rio stopped. She couldn’t bring herself to say it, and even talking about it seemed to be helping the realisation settle for herself. “Well, you can see for yourself from the bridge…”

Her body beginning to unwind from the tenseness, she began to relax, sighing as she sat back in her seat, muttering to herself once more, forgetting that they could still hear her. “This is insane…” Watching the monitors for their movements, she felt mentally drained from all the work she’d been doing, and took the time to recoup her thoughts as she waited for the Arch Angel team to reach the bridge and respond to her.

That weight that was supposed to be off Pepper’s shoulders, it came crashing back down on her with a vengeance. There was no one in the hanger besides them; the ship had an eerie empty felling; there were not heroic adults coming to save them were there? This daunting realization was something Pepper only had seconds to allow herself to prepare for, she got her head back in the game. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” She muttered to herself before scowling at what Tamaki said. “Don’t just stand there Tamaki! I can barely lift him what makes you think I can carry him to the Med bay?!” She did as Tamaki suggested however, and somehow wiggled off her jacket, pressing it on Kennith’s wound, his face was paling, so was hers.

A voice on the intercom sounded off, and Pepper nearly jumped, not that she could with Kennith still on her. It was a young voice, the young voice of a girl she had heard before but couldn’t put a face to. She looked around at the ceiling of the hanger as the voice stumbled for her name, and her seriously set face nodded in reaction to its orders. “Xeke! Koda! Get Kennith to the Medical Bay and see to it that the Med Bot takes care of him, Koda if could please stay with him, I’d owe you one! Xeke report back to your MFU after completion of your task. I’m heading to the bridge, no one else fallow me there do I make myself clear?”In reality Pepper felt like she owed Koda a lot more than one, but she’d have to repay him later.

Xeke and Koda took Kennith and Pepper rode down the platform with them, as soon as it was safe to jump down without hurting herself too much, she popped the gate open and jumped, landing with thud and wincing at the impact, but she got right back up and started at a run towards the direction she knew the bridge to be. Everyone had taken a tour of the carrier ship before, even if you weren’t training to man one, it was still important to know about the ship you’d be deployed on once you exited the Academy.

She arrived at the bridge, out of breath but still full of energy. “Hello? It’s me! Commander Sprucey. What is the situation and where are you?” she entered into the Terminal.

The reason behind her not wanting anyone to fallow her was obvious. Xeke she sent with Koda so that he could perhaps ask about his uncle and come to terms with it. Koda she asked to go because he’d be no use in a MFU, or at least from what she could tell, and Tamaki and Earme she did not want fallowing her because she didn’t want them to hear how bad things were just yet. It would freak them out, like how badly she was freaked out. She needed their heads in the game, and she needed them able to function. How would they react once they saw the Academy she wondered? How would she for that matter? Her father she didn’t dare raise the question of in her head.

Rio Rillia

“Huh…” Rio sat up as the monitor blinked and flashed, rubbing her eyes as she woke up. She must have dozed off a little, and she was thankful for the message making a little ding as she received the input from Commander Sprucey. Well, seemed that everything was in working condition on the ship, and sliding her seat back into position, the communications officer began rapidly typing away at the keyboard.

“Pleasure to speak with you Commander Sprucey. The situation at HQ is dire, with both parasites and sycophants -….” Rio paused, realising that the term hadn’t been adopted into widespread usage. “That is to say, MFU-styled parasite mobile weapons have captured and destroyed much of the academy and staff. I’m bringing up a visual.”

Playing around with the monitor, Rio managed to send the video feed from the academy cameras to the ship, showing the destroyed academy, the local area, along with the two remaining Sycophants and their parasites. It would be apparent to commander Sprucey how well versed Miss Rillia was with computers simply by the pace of her typing.

“Damage to the academy and likely the local area is extensive… I’m not aware of any survivors other than myself. Control tower was compromised, however, I managed to access this ship’s controls from the emergency bunker located beneath the control tower. Engagement with the enemy revealed the shields to hold stable, so with any luck, the carrier should be able to repel the forces to allow for a rescue and relief effort, as I have set it’s coordinates to return to the academy. Do you agree with this plan of action?”

She paused again, allowing time for a response before deciding to add to the information.

“Signals from your MFU’s and this ship are all that remain. I believe the rest were eliminated in the initial assault.”

Stopping again, Rio sighed. She wasn’t sure how the commander would respond to that. Not being the commanding type entirely, and afraid of that sort of responsibility, she awaited Pepper’s response. A little tired, she wasn’t entirely sure who outranked who in this situation, and so was hoping to turn to Commander Sprucey for assistance. Safe as she was, those parasites were still just outside...

The sound of large hovering power system beckoned above Koda as he looked up to see trees sway under the air pressure the carrier crafts movement caused and it bellowing size.
Holding a hand up overr his eyes to block the bright sun he took in the view of the beautiful craft with some nostalgisa.
The carrier above Koda's head was a spectacular sight if any, it had been a few years since he had laid eyes on it, about three if he counted. He had been asked to help repair one of the assisting robots aboard the bay when it had a slight malfunction, he had met quite a few other people like himself that day. Xian, human and Balthor alike who all shared an interest in mechanics.
He wondered how they were doing now, were they alive at all?

Suddenly the team began to run into action each leaping off in different directions, the Balthorian womans jump amazed him as she very skillfully used the technique of acrobatics to successfully board the Carrier since she lacked a flight system.
Earme then shouted an order at him with also made Koda move himself.
Quickly reattaching the panel he had removed just at Earme told him too as he settled into the main seat of his MFU Koda stretched before he shouted back "Alright coming!". Wiping a sweat of his forhead he balanced his way into the MFU very ungracefully as he practically fell inside with an "Umph" snuggling down into the small space provided. It really was a tight fit for the two of them but it was better than most MFU's cockpits.

Lights flickered up on activation and Koda watched the Titan's optics with its cameras just as Earme did, it wasn't everyday he expierenced travel in an MFU.
With a loud thud and slow push off into flight Koda watched in amazement as the piolet launched his MFU up into the sky its rhythm smooth and steady. The sight of the wrecked MFU of the piolet Kennith unsettled Koda greatly, he had seen too much death already today, he didn't want these people to expierence it too. Successfully grabbing hold of the fallen MFU Koda felt his stomach turn for the thriteenth time in one day, it looked bad with one arm missing and a hell lot of damage. It was going to need at least two nights worth of repairs if Koda managed to get all the parts he needed to help make it seem like brand new again. That was if these people trusted him to lay a hand on the machine that was.

Settling on the carrier the MFU locked and loaded into a docking cradle neatly and promtply, "Okay, thanks for everything, helping me survive back there an all, I'll be sure to pay back the favour for your team and yourself the best I can" he gave a cheesy smile holding up his blackened hands from oils "Just give me some tools and set me too work" he laughed but it was forced. He had to keep a straight and casual face, he couldn't show any distress, that wouldn't be good for a passenger as it could distress the piolets.

Jumping down he saw the woman incharge, Pepper was it? With the man who looked severly wounded from the attacked MFU. Running up to her he took the unconcious guys arm and wrapped it around his neck lightening her load as she seemed to be struggling. "Don't worry about it, I'll be happy to stay with him, I'd like to do a check on the carriers medical systems anyway, I feel we may have quite a few injured passing through" he tried to stay calm with his voice as they made it down the platform shortly after Pepper jumping away leaving Kennith to himself and Xeke. Xeke's appearence made Koda wince in pain, how was he going to tell him about Rico?

Kennith Alexander Westwood

Deep in a blood loss induced sleep, Kennith’s brain was still functioning. He began to dream and was thrust into a ever changing scenes from his past. The thoughts caused his body to spasm and his face changed expressions reflecting his dreams. Forgetting everything else, it felt as though it was the first time he had experienced these events.

Kenny hid behind Sarah as the large dog walked past them, clinging to the back of her dress he felt a hand come to rest on his head. “Come on now Kennith, there’s nothing to be afraid of. The dog won’t hurt you.” He saw the gray haired woman say as he looked up at her. “But its scary….” he whimpered. “Ok, you just hold on till we get back to the house.” The old maid thought for a second. “When we get back I have a present for you.” Kenny nodded slightly at the statement and continued holding on to the dress.

When they got back to the mansion, Sarah led Kenny up to her room. I was relatively well furnished, but was not as extravagant as the rest of the mansion. Kenny watched as she pulled out an old trunk from under her bed. “Here you go.” She said handing him a toy figurine. “What is it?” He said, looking down at the figure and turned it over in his hands. “HIS, name is Super Man. He is a superhero, he protects the innocent and weak. No bad guy or scary thing can ever hope to beat him. He always kept me safe when I was a little girl and I’m sure he’ll do the same for you.” The old woman told Kenny as she smiled warmly down at him. “Wow, he’s so cool!” Kenny said, holding the figurine up in the air. “Here, let me show you how to make him fly.”

“Kennith! Your supposed to be helping me make a cake!” The Old lady said, laughing slightly at the boy. He was standing on the stool playing with the figurine he had taken such a liking to. “I thought you said you wanted to learn how to make sweets? You‘ll never learn without practice.” She continued playfully as the boy continued to wave the toy around in the air. “Only bakers need to learn how to cook.” He stated mater-of-fact-ly. “I don’t want to be a cook. I want to be a superhero! Then everybody will see how cool I am, just like Super Man!” The old lady let out a deep laugh at his statement as she continued to make the cake.

Kenny sat on the sofa quietly, staring down at the Super Man figurine. His eyes were finally beginning to dry after a long time of bawling. Suddenly, he felt a strong slap on the back of his head and the tow flew from his hands. “Finally stopped crying you puss……what’s this?” Grant asked as he grabbed the toy off the ground and holding Kenny back as he tried to retrieve it. “His name’s Super Man. He keeps the innosant and weak from the bad scary things! Gu-give him back!” Kenny begged as he felt tears welling up again. “Ha, did that dead old bat give you this trash?” Grant said laughing as he threw the toy to the floor and smashed it with his foot. “See, Super Man is a wimp, only the stupid protect the weak. It’s like Dad says, the strong rule the weak. That’s how it goes.” Grant finished, walking off. Kenny looked down at the broken and crushed toy as tears began to roll down his cheeks.

Ba'al grit his teeth. Damn it all...that should have worked! His theory had been to give the overpowered shot, coupled with the attacks of his Bretheren, to the shields, which should have overpowered the generators, forcing them to either shut down or explode. But nothing had happened. Nothing. Nothing!

In fact, now that he thought about it, that was strange in itself. Though the ionic fireworks had appeared at the shot, the shields did not move or react otherwise. A normal energy-field shield would have reacted in some way, rippling across it's surface, glowing at impact, fluctuating in power...something. But none of this had happened. It was not normal. It didn't make sense. He thought for a moment. Fluctuate... With this thought, he brought up his Mecha's external sensors and internal computers online, using part of the power generated in the T'challa drive. "Scan the energy fluctuation of the enemy vessel's shields." The computer was silent for a moment, then brought up an image of the fluctuation, which was flatlined. The computer clicked in the Kell'rah language the results: massive amounts of energy was being put out, but none of it was fluctuated. Ba'al made the connection in his head. This was new; a technology unknown to all but the humans.

Mother, if they could gain this technology, would be pleased.

Sister, your 'feeling', your bloodlust, is angered just as mine. The only way to 'fix it' is to satiate your lust with a fight...unfortunenly, I am afraid that our fight will wait, for our efforts to defeat this ship will be futile...the shields are unlike anything we have seen, practically impenetrable by our weapons... He gave a small grin as he clutched his controls, waiting to power up the Mech when it was time. So let us not take the fight to them...let them come to us.

Nimea Val' cha

Image
Brother was the one who was older; he was supposed to be able to fix things! And all that happened was an unexciting light show in which nothing happened. The thought of the shields holding up to the horde did not faze Nimea, instead she was in a fury that blocked out reasonable thought of gain, and quite the gain it would be to have that sort of technology indeed.

’BROTHER!’ she snarled both physically and telepathically, the link between them at its most strained tension, her hands were quivering. ’That was supposed to work brother; I WANTED that fighter unit for mother. And now look what you’ve done, it is getting away! Perhaps it would be better if I let you go die huh? Are you no better than those humanoids who are weak to the core! And look at you, dead in the air and vulnerable like a dirty…Who are you!?’ she paused after saying that last bit, gasping in a cold shaking sweat.

That one fighting unit had asked her the same question hadn’t he? Why did she blurt that out? And a small voice in her head that was not her brother’s answered back, ‘because you do not know the answer to that question’. And she knew she did not.

’Brother-I…I am sorry, I did not mean those things…’ She apologized, her inner voice feeling weak, but the telepathic link growing stronger once more. The fact that it had weakened was curious indeed, weren’t all Kell’rah linked because they were one? ’Bloodlust is silly brother, blood is a simple sticky substance that humanoids use to carry oxygen through their bodies, you and I have our own, we have no need for more of it. We need only fallow mother’s orders and acquire what we may for her. Blood has nothing to do with it.’ She huffed a sigh in her Mech, her body cooled down substantially and her mood fallowed suit. Her serene and cool voice returned.

Ba'al's face was sullen in the darkened cockpit, 'hearing' his sister's words. She was right, he thought. Who was he? A weakling? A coward? He felt angry...but not at her. At the humans, for their refusal to succumb. At his Brothers, who could not break the shield. At himself, for his failure...

No.

No, he was not at fault. His plan should have worked, and would have worked, but he did not know of their type of shields. For that matter, no one did. It was not of his fault.

He sighed, releasing the controls for a moment.

Of course, Sister. I forgive you. He smiled. And you are right. I admit, I have fallen from our orders. Cursed are these "emotions" Mother warned us of! See as they attempt to tear us apart, ruin our kinship. He gripped the controls again, checking his power level. Twenty-five percent. Just barely enough. But it is impossible to break to bond between Kell'rah. Even those of flesh and blood. He powered up the Mecha again, setting it to half-power so that his T'challa drive would continue to generate power, albeit much slower. Anyhow, sister, from what I can tell, this is new technology for even the humans, or otherwise we would have failed our mission. The several pathetic humans aboard will not be much hassle at the moment. I will begin planting the Seed of Destruction.

With that and a Kell'rah saying of good luck, his Mecha floated down to the earth, right outside of what appeared to be the leader's building. The abdomen of the Vengance III opened, revealing a black ovular sphere, like a tear drop. The Mecha's hand removed the Seed, placing it on the ground, leaving an open hand over it. Ba'al spoke in the Kell'rah language, commanding the Seed to activate, to which it began to give a low clicking noise.

Ba'al smiled. Soon, the planet would be theirs...

“The Control Tower, underneath it, got it.” Pepper said aloud to herself, reassuring the information and starting to form an attack pattern. She remembered what Earme had said about his cockpit being bigger, it was, so Rio would stand a best chance at surviving riding with him, Tamaki and herself would serve pretty well with being cover fire. Not to mention the ship had fire power too, but then when transporting Rio there would be a few moments where no one would be there to control the ship at all. This is when they’d be vulnerable. So perhaps firing the ship’s canon as distraction first?…

Pepper flipped blindly through the images, poking the touch screen a little more roughly than needed. She wouldn’t allow herself to look at them, it’d be too pain- “Father?!” One picture she could not ignore, a sword stabbing into the completely open cockpit of her father’s MFU, her mouth lay agape in horror. She flipped to the next picture, and each succeeding one zoomed in on one person, the opposing Mecha. Wait? What the hell was a Mecha doing fighting against the Academy? Pepper enlarged the picture to remember each detail about this person in the cockpit of the opposing Mecha. It was a young girl, her skin flawless alabaster, her dark curly hair cute and framing her face. Her face contorted in madness in these photos, she seemed to be shouting. Pepper didn’t care how this girl looked though, she just wanted to memorize the person that she’d spend time killing, and making them suffer. Though this thought was slightly hallow, as she still hadn’t let it sink in that her father had been killed.

“I’ve stayed here too long.” She typed a response, telling the communications officer to hold tight where she was, and to fire a long blast of cover fire from the canon when they arrived to the school. Pepper glanced at the ship’s coordinates; it would not be long before they reached that point. She had to hurry.

Once arriving at the hanger Pepper announced, a fully serious and somehow older looking person. “Communication’s Officer Rillia is at the com tower bunker, located below the tower itself. Earme, you will be the one to open the bunker and shelter her in your MFU, Tamaki and I will be you cover. We launch once the ship’s canon fires, to give us a bit of a distraction.” She was in The Arch Angel now, moving very quickly and allowing no time to absorb information. “We have little time and one chance, DO NOT be distracted at the carnage, get distracted and you die, do I make myself clear?!” She was speaking more to herself than Tamaki and Earme, but it needed to be said. Her eyes showed a wild and dangerous calm that was not her own, their green turned slightly sickly.

“Once back in the hanger we get the hell out of here and into orbit.-“ The ship’s canon fired. “Move out!” Pepper kicked her Mecha into gear, Tamaki and her exiting first and Earme last, She quickly searched about for anything in there way, immediately two very large and round parasites were upon them, Pepper sped up and rammed her spear into one of them, their battle beginning.

Taking in the plan formulated by Commander Pepper, Rio gave a simple ‘Roger that’ in response, setting about fiddling with the control systems to implement the plan. She was beginning to recognise how complicated the system was, and was taking the time to make a backdoor for access once she got on board the ship. Without the emergency privileges, she wasn’t registered to operate the command panel, and rescuing her would be for naught if they ended up stuck there.

“Let’s see… Ah, here we go… User database… Let’s just edit this one here… Add in a password…” Mumbling to herself as she altered the information, she kept a close eye on the ship’s co-ordinates, which were slowly edging ever nearer to the agreed minimum firing range.

“Output is stable… Main Cannon Online… Charging ready… Fire!” As impressive as a single big button would have been for firing, Rio instead had to type away at the keyboard, entering the command parameters manually as she took aim and fire. At this distance, it was unlikely she’d hit, but perhaps if she caught them off guard…

“Come on…” Rio murmured again to herself, and began the process of target designating for all the onboard light defensive weaponry. It would have been a lot easier with the touch screen system rather than the manual coding she had to do, but something was better than nothing. Keeping an eye on the battle, Rio sat up; beginning to grab everything she’d need to take with her for use on the ship. Headset, mouse, one of those portable keyboards…

Unlatching the trapdoor, she opened it partially to allow whoever was coming to her rescue to find her, before settling back into her seat and monitoring the battle. She had her work cut out for her, running the helm and weapons simultaneously - but somehow, she kept everything running somewhat smoothly…

The journey held little action for Earme. The Titan situated itself on to open floor of the hanger, only slightly shorter then the cavernous space. He stood guard, unthinking and alert. The Titan was a mass of still and solid terrofiber. Inside its shell Earme seemed little more then a statue himself, motionless other then his lifting chest and attentive violet eyes. The presence of the Balthorian hardly registered, although he knew she was there. The massive mecha stood near the open hanger door the ground visible through the opening ans displaying on Earme's monitors. Trees and grass whispered past as the carrier was propelled to whence it came. A few minutes of silence passed, the emptiness of the hanger bay was oppressive. The ruined hulk set on the ground, the riderless shells arrayed in their supports. It wasn't the time to dwell on all that had happened and would happen, Earme keep his thoughts from wandering. He knew, unconsciously, that if he allowed himself to absorb what had happened he would snap. He would become useless, a burden and a failure. He would not allow that to happen, not now. Not when his own life and the lives of the others depended on his actions.

Pepper's returning announcement from far below was caught by a mic in the head of the Titan. It was a fruitless installation, allowing briefing for those inside from those outside, yet its use was still limited and Pepper's voice was muted by the pick up. Yet Earme heard enough, the ground below was no longer the pristine green vegetation. In its place scarred, burned landscape and the signs of battle. They had returned and as they all feared, the Academy was no longer the sanctuary it once was. The young man clicked his response through the damaged radio systems, sending a burst of static onto the antennae's large frequency range. "I read." He said boldly, he was ready and had been ready since everything started to turn upside down. There was also something in Pepper's voice, she had taken command like this before and held herself strong. Yet, she seemed somewhat shaken this time and her voice was laced with something much more then her previous strength. For now that was good enough for Earme.

There was a shudder through the ship as one of the smaller main cannons fired, it would hardly serve as anything more then a distraction. The main weaponry systems were stationery aligned straight ahead, meaning the ship would have to tilt to bring them to bear. Yet no doubt it would catch the attention of the parasites and distract them from the small company of mechas disgorged from the carrier's belly. The Titan followed up the rear of the formation, dropping down to the ground like a hammer. Dents cracked through the concrete the bore the weight of the Titan. He clicked into action immediately, turning upon a large parasite that wasn't caught by the distraction. Red lightning arced over the charging mechanisms for the shoulder and head mounted beams. The small pulse lasers activated, flaring brilliant packages of red at the foe. Scouring and burning through it. Earme brought his heavy shield into the combat, smashing the parasite down and moving to deposit roughly 6 tons of weight of weight through one of the Titan's feet. Successfully crushing his foe Earme turned to the rest of the battle.

Fire rained down in the shadow of the carrier, point defenses struggling to cull the mass of smaller parasites. With so many targets it was difficult to designate them all. Still more poured from every direction, small, large and seemingly every hue available. The control tower was blocked by the largest mass and a pair of mecha. All around, visible through the carpet of parasites, pilots and their mechas lay broken and partly devoured. Through this chaos Earme moved, his view screens a mess of chaos and light. Without radar the situation was so hard to control, Earme could only hope the others were covering his blind sides for he could not see them. A charged ball of super heated plasma flashed from a red hot barrel upon the Titan's right arm. It impacted in the midst of a group of smaller parasites. The heat wave fried a mass within a small area and those caught in the blast were ignited like bugs. Despite this Earme cursed in the isolation of his cockpit. Struggling to alter the setup of the cannons. Massed plasma was altogether useless against such a horde of this. He should have known and berated himself as he continued to move towards the communication tower. More exclamations erupted as he realised that he was too busy sorting his weaponry to fire anything. The sheer influx of information caused him to stumble over his actions.

Finally, with his confusion overcome Earme brought the full power of his massive machine into the fray. Plasma spewed in great tongues, spreading and burning the unarmored parasites before him. Those that survived were crushed beneath the feet of the Titan as it carved its was direct to the control tower. Earme lost sight of the greater picture ,he focused on the parasites before him, unaware of the two mecha towards which he was heading and the full scale of the infested academy.
