Another year at Hogwarts...

Of course, Emalee had been ready for school ages before it was even in session. The humdrum routine of summer had left Emalee craving her return to Hogwarts that much more. She had done all of her extra reading and research on her upcoming classes, and she was ready to tackle the year ahead of her. School was starting and the grueling, boring, days of summer were stretching their legs into the crisp seasons of fall. The young Ravenclaw had been itching to get back to the whimsical world of magic.

A sigh of relief passed through Emalee's lips as her green eyes flickered around the eating area as she saw faces old and new alike. Small parts of conversation flew by her as she absorbed the atmosphere once again; she was at peace. With the first years already in their houses, the fair warning about the Forbidden Forest was reiterated to all students, the annual feast began. Food began filling the tables and everyone began digging in quickly.

The morning had been a complete mix of excitement and stress for Emalee. Naturally, like most students, Emmie was stoked about going back to Hogwarts for another year, but the stress of packing up for another year always had her up in bed weeks before.

Emmie grabs a bread roll and butters it as her tired thoughts began to float about. For a moment, she returned to the first memory she had of walking through those huge wooden doors and first laying eyes on the grand hall as a freshman. A smile returned to the girls face as the memory passes and she is jostled back to the present moment as someone accidentally bumped her arm.

Taking a sip of water, Emalee scanned the room again, and then resorted back to her food.
