Introduction

A finger presses a button on a device on a wall with a speaker, as he does so, a cheerful ditty plays, followed by an electronic voice crackling over a speaker.

"Hello, and welcome to the Deep 17 research station, below here, we work towards, first and foremost, towards the betterment of all life. Part of this, requires trust, and for that, where reasonable, operations require a level of transparency. Here in the Deep 17, we strive towards the betterment of all forms of life, to bridge the gaps between scientific understanding, and that which lies beyond our material definitions. With open arms do we treat that which seems unusual, and.."

"A bit preachy, don't you think? Makes it sound a bit like an amusement park," a deep voice cuts in, his very words rattling the glass of the above-ground reception area, yet too carrying a level of grace and sophistication to it. What stood before the desk was a massive figure, manlike in form, wearing a fine blue suit and tie. His face was obscured with a golden mask of the likes of a demon or dragon, in the teeth of the mask sat a lit cigar. The receptionist looked up him... a particularly frail woman, especially in comparison.

"Mr. Grimms, s-sir, you can't go down there with t-that..." she stammers, pointing up at his cigar. He glares down at her, his eyes like a blazing inferno, piercing into her. Taking the cigar into his massive fingers he holds it out towards her, causing her to cringe, bracing, and... to her surprise, he gently puts it out in ashtray behind her and draws back.

"My apologies for misplacing my etiquette," he says, placing a hand on his chest and bowing.

"N-no... it is no," she stammers, before clearing her throat and adjusting her glasses. "Um, about your daughter..?"

Mr. Grimms steps aside, presenting another figure that was standing behind him, a young female looking at her feet. She was tall, with reddish tanned skin, eyes bright yellow, hair white and markings etched down her eyes, her face partially obscured by her hair. She was dressed in a black hoodie and pants, the former adorned with an image of a rabbit themed skull.

"So this is little Saiph. A-are you sure you want to place her here, she doesn't seem..." as she begins to say this, the girl raises her head, and her computer's speakers hiss and the fluorescent lights flicker above her.

"Quite sure. I am an investor, after all, and what better a return of investment than family?" he confirms, ushering his daughter along to the elevator in the back, the girl casting a smile, flicking her hand in a wave at the receptionist before scooping up the strap of a rather cheerful rabbit themed satchel and heading along with her father, down into the depths of the facility.

This is the Deep 17 facility, a massive underground station isolated from the rest of the world. Contained in the bowels of this facility are both the bizarre and dangerous, and experiments conducted in genetics, and even on the very laws of reality itself. Between supernatural and science there is no fine line here. They didn't lie, the work here really is intended for the betterment of all life, of course, some things are better for everyone to be left sealed away forever. This facility fulfills that role too.

Rules

Here in Deep 17, you are allowed to play the role of an experiment... or... patient, or staff. Supernatural and strange is encouraged, powers and weird abilities are allowed as long as they aren't intended to be an end-all be-all. Technology level is futuristic, reinforced electronic doors, biometric locks, reinforced containment cells, genetic splicing, cloning, etc. There will be story arcs, and the very nature of the facility provides obstacles. A thing to note is that staff and patients are not necessarily antagonistic towards one another, hard to justify a facility like this if the staff are being constantly cruel the patients, right? Besides, you are all living down here. Of course, that doesn't mean fights don't occur. Bear in mind, there are staff that are also subjects, and neither are they all necessarily human either.

There is little in the way of limitations on this particular roleplay, but still be courteous to other players and do not control or determine their fates, and don't write off a battle immediately as a victory or loss. Little tolerance for controlling the entire flow of a battle. Also don't be the "one-shot god king" or something of that nature. Collaboration is better than domination. You may be powerful, but power should always be within certain reason and never strive to be infallible/indestructible. You can be generally any level of non-human creature or augmented human otherwise with only some limitation, an Achilles heel.

Delta Sector: Maximum Security

Delta Sector: Maximum Security by MartinVole

By either instability or overall high aggression, subjects here are considered highly dangerous to the well being of all others and must be contained at all times until very particular conditions are met.

Gamma Sector: Contamination Risk

Gamma Sector: Contamination Risk by MartinVole

Either by nature of their power and extreme measures required to containment, or physical properties, the subjects here are considered contamination risks and must be continually contained in cells in order to avoid affecting the staff and other subjects.

Alpha Sector

Alpha Sector by MartinVole

The low security area where subjects and staff roam fairly freely, the former being subject to curfews still, however. Generally treated with a kinder touch, the atmosphere is generally warm and welcoming. Naturally visitation is usually allowed here.

Beta Sector

Beta Sector by MartinVole

Particular care and monitoring is required for the subjects here, either for the sake of themselves or others. Subjects here, however, do not constitute risk requiring maximum security, this section can be cut off in the event of breach.

Epsilon Sector: Derelict

Epsilon Sector: Derelict by MartinVole

Years ago, a disaster occurred leaving it in a state of collapse, it was deemed a contamination risk, and was long abandoned and sealed off. Some subjects from this here were moved to Gamma and Delta.

Medical Labs

Medical Labs by MartinVole

Staff area. For procedures requiring medical or surgical attention, or, in the few unfortunate cases, autopsies.

Bio Labs

Bio Labs by MartinVole

Staff area containing hydroponics, as well as biochemical research facilities.

Arcane Labs

Arcane Labs by MartinVole

Staff area, where the unknown is contained and tested. Subjects of magic, dimensions, paranormal, and other subjects of the intangible are of particular interest here. Some consider it a Lovecraftian nightmare waiting to happen.

Staff Lounge

Staff Lounge by MartinVole

A place of rest and relaxation for the members of our fine facility... a safe place.

Deep 17 Research Facility

Deep 17 Research Facility by MartinVole

Consider this for the reception area, a rather pristine and humble looking place with receptionists and security always on duty. The waiting area here is kept homely with flowers and an assortment of reading material.

Tyler felt awful for causing Frankie to get too excited and trip. The smell did do one thing, though. It made it clear that not only had the scientists got a fox to walk bipedal and made him smart enough to talk, but they had actually brought him back from the dead. He would wait until Frankie was ready to come back then he'd apologize for that.

Tyler watched as Saiph demonstrated her powers.

"Hmm, that's kinda cool. Seems like you would be the one person who wouldn't be stuck here, being able to basically teleport out." Though he figured there was probably some sort of dampening field that kept her from using her powers to get out.

"Yeah the food ain't great, but the candy is good." He chuckled.

„The girl in the Delta Sector... Funny, I've tried to talk to other members of staff about her and the only answer was dead silence. I guess she's even crazier than we, the patients of the Gamma Sector. And that seemed almost impossible. But I guess weirder things are going on right now. Also, if you're bored and I'm bored, so maybe we should do something together to get less bored? Doc Addler promised me he would let me out to watch the sunset this week, maybe I should ask him if he allows you to join me and watch me?”

Jared noticed Addler watching at him after Mr. Grimms left. He nodded the doctor.

„You could even ask him. Seems he's done talking to Bashe. Hey, Doc! Scar wants to ask you something!”

Hyles could finally use the opportunity to get out of his stinky cell without bloodshed. At least for half an hour. With a girl. Would be romentic if he wouldn't be extremely restrained.

Flania chuckled, surprised he’s that much bored to even start something without asking her first if she wants to spend time with him.

But then again…

“Fine, I don’t mind, it’s always something…”

Flania turned to Addler.

“True is what he says, I want to spend some time with him outside…watch the sunset as he said!” She yelled, too lazy to shorten distance between her and Addler.

Unless I can’t – she thought.

"Tabby." Frankie repeated quietly with a small chatter. He bared his teeth at her, but anger
or malice didn't seem to be in the expression. In reality he was trying to mimic a smile. A little
almost inaudible "Eee" sound escaped his muzzle as he did so.

Taking the tissue with his little hand and instinctively put it on his wound. Whether
he had been taught this or if it was just a creatures natural intuition was up to the observer.
His body ached still from the fall, but the sharpness and the bite of the pain had subsided. Frankie
had decided, however, that no one in the room was a threat. But the newfound emotion of embarassment
was the main cause of him slinking away. He watched, a little less amazed than he should have been as
the cup came floating back to him, along with his bracelet. He didn't bother at all with the band
and instead gingerly pulled the cup towards him, taking another grape and chewing on it, less loud
and obnoxious this time.

He let out a sigh as he laid his head back down on the table, feeling a slight murmer in his chest,
that throbbed out to his open wound on the back of his shoulder. He remained at a distance, watching
everyone else interact. He wanted to go play, he couldn't lie to himself. Tabby and Tyler seemed so nice,
nice as the scientists who had let him out this morning. And Mr. Branches was obviously Magic!
Saiph however, was slightly different. Something about her triggered a primal instinct in him, one
of hunting and the chase, the very animal instincts that still slept within his cranium. He wanted
to follow those instincts, but decided against it for now, he was too sore. And there would be other
oppurtunities.

Frankie started, as if alerted to something the others couldn't see before beginning to happily pant.
He took his cup and poured the remaining jellybeans and grapes onto the table. His ears perked up and he
held out the cup as if it was being filled with tea from an imaginary kettle. He chattered nonsensically
to himself, letting out a few hyena like laughs, much quieter this time. He sipped at the brim of his empty
cup and gingerly ate more candy, more self control showing through than when he was shoveling them down
his maw earlier. He looked around to the people, back to the empty seat across from him, and nodded. He
raised a finger and pointed to each member respectively. "Tyler, Tabby, Branches..." He looked over to
Saiph with a finger point. "Food." He said again with a chortle, as if it were an inside joke.

He continued like this, chattering away, talking to no one, spirits seeming to improve greatly.

Tyler heard Frankie chattering to the invisible person who he seemed to be in the seat across from him. He smiled a little as he looked like he was feeling a little better, but he let him be for a little bit. It wasn't until he heard Frankie introduce everyone to the invisible person that Tyler let out a chuckle, mostly because he introduced Saiph as Food. Tyler moved over to the booth, in a very fluid-like movement, before sitting across from Frankie and next to the invisible person. For all Tyler knew there actually was an invisible person there the way the scientists did things around here.

"Hey there, Frankie, sorry for getting you all excited. I didn't think you'd get hurt." Tyler apologized. He looked down at the food scattered all over the table in front of Frankie and stretched his arm across the room to get a paper bowl thing used for nachos and and his arm snapped back like a rubber band with the bowl. He scooped the food up and put it in the bowl for Frankie.

"There you go. Now your stuff won't go rolling off the table." He said as he slid the bowl in front of him.

"So did you want to get some real food, or did you want to keep eating the candy and fruit? You're a carnivore right? You want to get some meat? I think they got some jerky around here somewhere."

"Why would I want to get out?" Saiph asks, mussing her hair while scratching her head. "I mean, father brought me here, so I'm staying until he says otherwise," she continues, before twisting her mouth and folding her arms, rolling her eyes around and shifting her hand under chin and nervously tapping, tapping her feet on the floor with a rhythm. "Ughh... so uh, is it bad here or something? I mean if it is I c-."

She glanced over at Frankie as he chattered away at seemingly nothing, her right eye visibly fluttering briefly. "Tea would be lovely," she muttered, nearly a quiet whisper, her eyes glazed over, before Frankie began to move again. She visibly winced as he worked with his wound, shuddering a bit, her smile cracking slightly. She returned to silently observing him, as he began to name the others. She cracked out in laughter as she referred to Alexander as Branches. "Branches!? Hah! I like th-," she began to say before he pointed directly at her and referred to her as food. With a perplexed look, she shrugs her shoulders. "Yeah, I'm... not quite sure how to interpret that one."

Walking over to the counter she took a cup, looking over a beverage fountain machine, and huffing after a moment. "What, no Earl Grey? Tch!" With outstretched hand she opened a portal briefly, dropping a tea bag into her cup, and moving over to start boiling some water, propping her head on her hands over the counter.

The staff nearby looked slightly perturbed, talking quietly among each other before one deciding to walk up, a rather short woman in a lab coat, holding a tablet computer. There was this slight different in how they approached Saiph than they did the other subjects. There was an odd bit of hesitation.

"So, Miss Grimms, are you adjusting well, no... problems?" she asks, her tone oddly careful.

"Pshhhh! Miss Grimms? Just Saiph will do, miss makes me sound like a school teacher or something," she says, placing her hands on her hip and rolling her eyes. "But ughhh... I guess? These guys seem cool n' all! But... the food here is a bit, I dunno... bland?"

The scientist stared at her blankly for a moment nodding her head, before tapping away something on her tablet. "I suppose you are right, the food is designed to meet dietary needs, candy aside, but um... I suppose you are used to something more, um, sublime," she says, before finishing, glancing over her shoulder at the tea brewing in her cup, pointing to it with her stylus. "Uhm... did you... get that from off-site? Er, nevermind, just, ask next time if you want or need something."

"It is just tea, but um... sure?" she says, looking perplexed.

"Thanks, and welcome to Deep 17, I hope you enjoy yourself here Mi- er, Saiph, hah!" the woman responds, forcing a bit of a laugh, before walking out and to the others, talking amongst them and showing them the tablet.

"Heh, yeah... ugh," Saiph mutters, slouching over, her smile drops for a moment looking somewhat agitated. The lights flicker momentarily again. "I don't need this here."

Looking back to the others, her eyes shift between them and her tea. "Oh! how rude of me! Anyone else want some? My friend actually loves the stuff, basically lives on it, really. Heh, a real card that one..."

Tyler went about trying to find some real food instead of the junk food he had been eating. He didn't really need to eat, but he actually enjoyed tasting the food. He watched and listened to Saiph as she interacted with the doctor. He finally found a bag of beef jerky, it wasn't the most healthy thing, but it was better than candy. He went back to the table and opened the bag so that everyone could share it if they wanted.

He wondered who it was that Saiph was referring to as her friend. Was the person even real? Was this girl crazy? He didn't know and it wasn't exactly like sanity was a uniform term around here.

"Here ya go buddy." He smiled as he gave Frankie a piece of the Jerky.

"So, who's your friend?" He asked as he turned to Saiph.

When Saiph asked the question about whether the facility was bad or not he opened his mouth to speak in the negative. The facility was a godsend as far as he was concerned. At least the upper level was. Filled with food, with friendly enough faces, and all his needs were met. For someone like him it was as normal a life as he could ever wish for. Soon however a frown formed on his face as he thought about the other levels of Deep 17. He had heard stories during his time here, none of them were pleasent especially not the stories about Gamma and Delta. Even the Beta sector filled with limits and restrictions sent a wave of dread through Alex's veins. The frown only grew larger as he the fact that he would someday be destined to be confined with the most dangerous of creatures struck him abruptly.

He shook his head slightly trying to banish the thoughts from his mind. Today was a good day, best not to ruin it with grim truths. So Alex watched quietly as Frankie started to liven up a bit more, his early behavior subsiding as his spirits seemed to lighten up. Once Frankie began to name off the others in the room and the fox pointed towards Alexander himself calling him Branches. A confused look stood on his face as he tested the name on his lips. His tone was one of bewilderment but there was an unmistakable smile there making quick work of his previous frown.

Alex sat there as Saiph spoke with the scientist, when the lights flickered he gave another confused look. Odd that didn't happen very often. The thoughts left his mind as Saiph returned offering tea and Tyler showed up with a bag of jerky seemingly offering it up to share. Alex shook his head at Saiph's suggestion, as he reached for a bit of jerky. "No thanks. tea is basically just leaf water right? I can't even eat that stuff anymore. I have certain dietary needs nowadays." When he finished speaking he took a bite of the jerky. He looked at Saiph in anticipation of her answer to Tyler's question more than a littel curious to hear of stories from the outside.

Security officers stationed down the corridors were readily armed, in the case of a breach should it occur, despite promises given that it was, relatively impossible. Though intimidating as they could be, behind their suits, helmets, and armor, behind their tinted visors they were beading in sweat. Relief would only come to these stalwart guards when the next shift comes in.

"That psycho chick has been pretty quiet lately," one says, passing by Velera's cell door. "Somehow I find that more disturbing."

"Yeah, well, don't go jinxing it," another guard responds, half-jokingly. "Don't forget we had to reinforce the doors just because princess here had to have too much fun last time."

"Hell, you don't need to remind me," the guard replies, shuddering. As they began to pass each other, the lights began to flicker violently. "What the... when was the last time these tubes got replaced?" He begins to peck lightly on one of the fluorescent lights, which begins to hum violently, growing brighter until it burst into shards and sparks at the man, causing him to hit the ground in shock, his suit, however protecting him against any real harm. "Holy shit!"

"You alright!?" the other yells out, as a few more guards scramble to check the situation. One after another, the lights began to burst, just like that one, as if something unseen was now moving down the corridor, a popping noise, one after the other. Without further hesitation, the guard pulls the digital radio from his pocket, ready to report to the rest of the team, only to hear a screeching, and under it, what sounds like a hummed melody. "The hell is that!?"

The humming stops abruptly, as does the bursting lights.

"So MuCh sCrEAmiNg... iT Is QuIte rUde yOu kNoW..." a voice of indeterminate gender is heard through all devices with speakers in the area. "tIme oUt..."

With a brief moment of confusion, the guards are suddenly dropped to the floor, one after another, their bodies growing heavy and numb, finding themselves unable to even speak.

"MUCH bEttER..."

The cameras in Velera's room began to shake before blanking out its feed, as something.

"Another looking glass full of cracks, poor thing... so similar, so different, so... mad, mad as a March Hare," the voice speaks, more clearly now, its voice was distorted, a voice that was both high pitch and deep at the same time, largely indeterminate, and completely inhuman. A figure, shadowy in form emerged into the room, four eyes, yellow and beaming, pupils aligned horizontally, constricted to nearly just lines. "Mad... Hare... yes, yes, that name is suitable... and you... my dear?"

It’s been a long time since she heard someone’s in distress, such a pleasant and intriguing sound it was for her. Guards, guards that were confused, guards that suddenly stopped making any kind of sounds, expect one – notable sound of something heavy hitting this damn cold floor of this level.

Velera’s head was raised at that time already, focusing on camera that seemed to be malfunctioning.

Then she heard a voice, not just any voice – it was inhumane one, one that humans get to hear rarely when living normal life.
Figure later appeared, and asked for her name…

“Velera, and why shouldn’t I try to kill you now? For now you seem to be a perfect subject for fun…” She grinned.

Whether this shadowy figure could be killed, wounded…Velera did not care – she just wanted to try.

"For shame," the creature murmurs, in a tone more somber, despite its warped tone. "You spoiled the surprise, the surprise, my dear! Never kill and tell! Ah... or, was it tell and kill? Hm... perplexing,"

Passing through the door, leaving behind a residue of black, it became a little more clear. Despite still being distorted in shadows, it was somewhat more in focus, enough to make out the creature was equal parts absurd and demented. It was tall, far taller than any human, its powerful arms running long along its tall form, sporting hands that transitioned into nightmarish claws, its legs, too, long, with long large digitigrade feet. There were patches of its flesh that were missing, replaced with patches sewed onto it, but more like a quilt than a medical procedure. Upwards, one could see its large maw, sewed shut along the sides, leaving mostly the large frontal teeth visible as it grins, a vague view of sharper teeth deeper inside through the gaps of the thread. Two long ears atop its head, gaps missing in them.

It was... a black rabbit, or at least, resembled one enough to make that assumption, less a thing of nature, and more like a twisted amalgamation expelled from Wonderland. It stood there, dressed in a gray vest and suspenders, an absurd large top hat sitting atop its head.

"Free to try, all the same, curious I am at the results! Crazy as she is, my queen is far of the murdering sort, so it leaves me with far less the experience in such! The possibilities! Perhaps dismemberment? Immolation? Asphyxiation? Ah, wait, hah, how silly, I don't breathe... oh, I know, the classical... off with the head perhaps?" the creature mocks, lifting a hand to its own throat, and with a sickening tear and pop, removing its own head, presenting it to Valera like its head were tipping a hat. What would normally be followed with a spray of blood, instead was replaced with an oozing flow of some form of black distorted effects from the stubs. "To get to the point of the matter, is... what is it that you desire?"

Addler thought for a moment, the words of Grimms still echoing in his mind. He smiled somewhat sheepishly to Jared and Flania. Strange, obsessive, perhaps even deranged as he was, he wasn't unkind, and perhaps, too, that made him weak in some regards. "Yes, that would be alright, a promise is a promise, after all," he says, rather calmly, whilst walking over to the cell. He keyed the release code and swiped his card and after a short validation, the doors slid open. "So, you are making friends, Jared? I'm delighted, actually, this is wonderful. Hah, not to sound sappy."

As he finished, he felt the specialized facility phone vibrate in his pocket, startling him briefly. He had the sound turned off since the ringtone tended to... agitate some subjects. Lifting it, he didn't hesitate to answer, and before he could ask what they wanted, a voice on the other end boomed at him. "W-what... was anyone hurt? Okay, good... huh? No, I don't recognize that... huh?" He rubbed his forehead as the man on the other end continued, but he motioned for Jared and Flania to go on ahead. "Listen, if it didn't cause anything more than a few minor cuts and bruises, it isn't above a class 2, and clearly it didn't have ill intent... I think we should try... wait... wait..."

Thumbing through his phone he noticed some of the cameras were coming up as having no signal, one of them being Velera's cell camera.

"Some of the cameras are malfunctioning in your area, including Miss Strage's room... the door is still locked? Alright... good... huh..? You hear talking..?"

"I hear whispers in the corners, I feel a tremble in the aether... what has been brought here, father?" Bashemeth murmurs, hands pressed against the glass of her cell. "Let me handle this, let me be useful... I want to be useful. I promise I will not hurt anyone, you know I won't, in fact I cannot. Well, not anymore, anyways..." Behind the glass, the humanoid creature gave a smile just as sheepish as her creator's. Hayden felt something sink inside, knowing that every word was meant by a creature that cannot comprehend deception, and despite that, he still could not release her. "Don't worry, I understand, father, please don't be upset! It was just a suggestion, is all! Though I would love to help someday."

"I know," Hayden said, barely audible under his breath.

Surprise, surprise…boring at the moment’s notice. What she saw would surely scare some if not all that is alive and human, to her tis was but a little monster, a little Rabbit that may prove to be a dangerous toy in one’s hands.

Velera listened to Rabbit like creature’s monologue with slight loss of interest, noticeable in her smile fading, and eyes becoming like glass.

“You’re boring” – She wanted to say, but…

Suddenly a question asked, question of what she desires, question that angered her a little.

“Why would I tell you? Her eyes alive again, body tensing – as if she’s wondering whether to try something bloody…or not.

Even though she knew already, that this thing won’t be killed so easily, at least not now, she wondered how would it feel to make it fear...death. In the end her muscles relaxed again, for thing in front of her is not what she wants to kill…it’s what makes her reflect, wonder…

She sighed, slightly resigned, waiting for a reason to give desired answer to astounding monstrosity that stands before her.

"Why indeed, a good query," the hulking absurdity responded, expression blanking, a certain mockery in its tone as its four eyes rotated in their sockets. Taking a moment to snap its head back onto its shoulders and straightening its hat, it looked again to Valera. "I am no genie, after all, no three wishes I'm afraid, but I do have a certain.. dominion. For example, this door here, a bit of a crux to you, is it not? But to me..." The creature's grin widened more than it had before, straining the threads that bind its maw with a creak, revealing its jagged teeth. With one of its large hands, it reached back and dug its claws into the reinforced door, curling the metal from it as if it were nothing more than wax.

"A condition of course, I couldn't care less for everyone else, but the girl with silvery hair and yellow eyes, mmm... she's off limits. Aaaaaand attempts on her life could result in, hmmm... a time out," as whimsical as the creature presented itself, through a twisted tone, the punishment, ambiguous as it was, was implied heavier than something mundane the staff would concoct.

"So, again I ask, child, w̶̧̝̥͉̺̭̥͕̦̘͐̂́͒̾͋͝ͅh̶̲͚͓͍̲̩͚͌̉̇̄̈̎͋͋̔̒̎̈́́̚͜͜ͅa̴̧̡͔̙̠͙̼͖̖̾̀̃ť̶̺̗̍̆͋ ̸̨͓̮̻̖̲͉͍̏͛͋̏͜ḑ̵͕̥͓̻̫̤̻̞̭͇̲̄͑̋͗͘͝ǫ̶̡̹̻̲̟͋̌͌̉͗͜͜͠ ̶̛̙̟͖̲̹̣͎̒͂̆̍͌̒͂̓̈́̕͝y̷̢̛͉̮̫̝͎̠͕̱̔͗ò̸̜̦̜̯͓̰̦̔͘ư̷̡̱̣̬̹̜͖̞̦͛̇̈́́̓̌͝ ̴̢̱̝͓̮̬͉̙̯̟̟̫̲̱̾̒́̉́̓̍͗͐̕d̶̹̪̬̽͆̈́͂͝ẻ̶̱̗̠̘͖̘̬͕̩̺͗͐̆s̸̛̳̮̪̣͉̳͈͚̹͉͈̥̈̆͂̈́͠͝i̷̭͉͈͖̬̺̤̭̺̖͓͗͌̍̃̐͐̄͋̊͆̈́̐͘̚ŗ̶̣̬͕̯͊̋̏̿͐̉̓̀͑͋͗͘͜͝ȩ̷̨̡̛̛͚̫͕̬̤̺͚̭͍̖̜̞̌̊͆̎͒͗̈́͐͛̉̋?̶̢̢̢̛͚͇͍͚̤̣̪͓͚̼̖̾̿͑̏̽̏̿͛͂̀́͝ͅ."

As interesting as this creature could be, what it was offering was far more…entertaining.

“What I desire? Entertainment.” She grinned – bloody images coming to her mind, and her...content with it being all around.

A bit of freedom, a right approach, maybe a bit of what once was, too many things to count – All considered as entertainment.

“I’d love to see door being no more, I’d love to see them panic once again, I’d love to see if they finally know what to do...right.”

Most of all she wanted to see them finally learn what is that she tries to show them, but surely they won’t, for even she does not realize what she does subconsciously.

"Very well, then it is a c̷̢͚̫̥̯̝͚̣͎̣͙͙̥̜̈͋̉̃̈́͆͒̑̓̽̈̐̾̅̀͜ỡ̷̡̦͎̙̯͖͉͚̪̩̳̋̃̂̿̂̅̀̌͘n̶̖͍̪͕̘̰̖̜̓̀̆̕t̶̨͚̬͋̃͋̀̆̔̃̚͝͝r̶̛̯̯̪̹̤͕̝̳̠͍͙͖̗͈̬̃̑̈̏̈́̂a̴̬̮̱͍̯͔̖͇͈͚͒̃̿̽̃̈́͌͑̇̔͝c̵̰̼̲̮̮̠̩̲͇̟͑̔̓̚͝t̶̨̡̫̱̟͕͖̱̼̪̥͓͔̾̄̿̐͂̎̋́͝ͅ!" the creature exclaims, proceeding to flick its wrist, reducing the door into a confetti of scraps with its claws.

Outside the security were taken by surprise, blown against the corridor wall by the blast, the pieces cracking some of their visors, and embedding in their armor, like shrapnel from a bomb. They took aim at the creature first, being , attempting to stun it with their tasers, and, while they hit and embedded in the beast, they showed no effect as it stood there, ignoring them and still facing Valera.

"Do remember the condition of our pact, ah? For now, however I bid you adieu... ų̸̦̫̳̜̻͙̃̌̒͌̔̈́̓̒̏̒́̕̕͜ͅn̷̥͚̫̞̻͓͗̽̇͂̓͝͠͝t̴̫̜͚͍̮̯̉̋͌̏͐́̈́̐̒̕͝į̵͚̣̪͓̀l̴̺̪͍̙͖͔̹̂̑̀̓̊͝ ̴̧̭͓̗̤̪̝͙̜̼̺͒̈́̾̈́̀͜͜͝͝ņ̸̡̥͓̖̱̘̃̍̉͋͘͜e̸̡̫̤͎͎͓̝̭̩̱̾̒͝x̶̫̿ṱ̸̰̙̘̀̉̄̐̾̑͠ ̷̼̭̒̓͝w̴͍͚̠͑̏̏̎̔̇̀̏͝e̴͖̤̽͒ ̸̧̳͇̩̰͇̮̠̣̝̤͉̃̇́̍͛̒̈́̉͑̇͋ͅm̷̨̡̮̺̣̹̣̲̹̞̩͎̬̭̃͛̓̒́̄͂͊͛̈́̍͘e̶̩͕͔͖̩̜͈̣̟̹̳̮̮͊͌̔̇̂̋̓̀̑̆̿͐̉͝ȇ̵̡͓͉̙̃̇͆̃̄́t̸̡̙́̽̀̑̈́͊̈̌̚̕̕͜͝.̸̨̛̱̳͍̦̼̟̬͖̳̝̾͑̈̍̋̆̃"

With that the creature's form distorts before becoming undone into a mist of black particles from its feet upwards, leaving behind briefly only its malformed grin and eyes, before those too become no more. The electrodes of the tasers that were once embedded in the creature's back fall helplessly to the floor.

"Shit!" one of the officers exclaim, realizing full well now the situation that now stood before them. The breach alert delayed by the creature's presence now finally blaring, red light flood the sector. In an effort, less to control the situation, and more now to save their own necks, they took aim at Valera in some hope that they could stop her before she could stop their state of living.

As they aimed their little toys at her, she couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Oh, really? You ought to know that won’t stop me, all you can do is…run!” Velera began to laugh maniacally, not moving yet, for they have not used a single bullet, not yet.

Their bodies tensed, fingers stiff – hesitant, wanting to live, and escape. One, one had finally made a move, right leg slowly shifting its place, finger slowly pulling.

Time after time they prove her wrong, for they never will change, never will see what should be done right. Empty glare is what was given, they aimed, and aimed yet still no shot been fired…

Seconds later first shot fired, and with it…bloodfest began once more.

All wanted came to be, and yet there was a feeling of dissatisfaction – at their failure to learn.

(Hmm, by the way considering it seems that there are only two of us for now, should I try going with some simple characters like guards and all - could try with few more though not sure if it works well ^^)

Re: Deep 17

Hi everyone, I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to pull out of this roleplay. I currently have too much going on to dedicate any time to it.

Re: Deep 17

I'll post tomorrow or Saturday, got a job interview to get out of the way first lol

Re: Deep 17

Guys I'm so so so so sorry for just disappearing like that! Things have been ridiculously busy here irl and I'm a little ashamed to admit that I almost completely forgot about this rp. I'm so sorry I hope I didn't kill this! I know it only takes one absent rper to spell death for a rp here on this site!

Re: Deep 17

So, umm...who's alive except you two, and my friend?

Re: Deep 17

Well, I would hope so, just I was waiting on Blueshadow, but they seem to have disappeared. I'm trying to figure out who's still in.

Re: Deep 17

@MartinVole - Is this still happening?

Re: Deep 17

I'm still here, I just wasn't sure who we were waiting on? I can post again if you like?

Re: Deep 17

Hey guys. Yeah I’m still here definitely. I’ll try and get a post out today when I get back home

Re: Deep 17

Re: Deep 17

So when do you reckon we will get started MartinVole. I'm excited to dig into this!

Re: Deep 17

This RP looks great. I have also submitted a character.

Re: Deep 17

Nice, I think I'll make up a few character sheets myself now. :)

Re: Deep 17

I've submitted my character. Hope you like!

Re: Deep 17

Generally I wouldn't mind if the details make up for it, but I dunno about actors and such, depending entirely on what the person is... if you catch my drift. In my case, I end up mostly doing a rough sketch. XD

Re: Deep 17

Greetings, would love to sign up for this one but just curious as to know which types of face claims you prefer or if you really mind?

Re: Deep 17

Re: Deep 17
