          If anyone knew anything about Maria Mereworth, they'd know firstly that she was a manipulative, temptress wench. If they'd heard just a smidgen more about her, the second thing they'd know was how inexplicably curious she was. That said, today seemed like a day made just for her onslaught of inquisitiveness, what with the peculiar weather as well as the arrival of the Queen. Oh goody! She could just rip off her shoes and dance in the streets she was so overjoyed by Her Majesty's appearance. Can you taste the sarcasm? No, Maria wasn't very interested in the royalty- that was much too overrated and overdone- but she was extremely interested in all the commotion they brought forth. Or, that's what she liked to tell herself. Truthfully, she wanted to know about them just as much as every schmuck in town did. Everyone seemed to be out and about, people bustling here and there, sounds not typical of a morning in boring old Thalon reaching her ears. She stood outside, leaning on a pillar just outside of her home (the brothel in Southtown), sipping in the scenery with contentment. She had the day off today, which seemed to work perfectly. She wouldn't have to bed with the random strangers pouring in today, and she'd get to snoop around town to her heart's desire on such a fabulous day. She still might just bed with a stranger, but that would all be told with time.

She began to stroll down towards the gypsies leisurely, not really planning on going anywhere in particular. She certainly wouldn't be at the docks to greet the stupid Queen and her bratty daughter. She thought this with indignant pride, though that damned curiosity nipped at her toes. She wondered just what the two women were like. She'd bet they had a ton of fishy secrets- hot and heavy gossip. In a flash, she saw the girl in the flesh zipping past her and into the gypsy haven. Maria felt her eyebrows shoot out atop her face as she watched her fly, two guards chasing after her. Hmmm, the two men seemed like perfect opportunities to get a feel for how the royals really were. Scheming and mischievous, she followed the younger one- of course- to the pub like a shadow, dancing along the walls with stealth and secrecy. She entered the pub a few minutes after he had just to be safe, flinging the doors open with all the confidence in the world. She approached the guard, leaning on her elbows on the counter and flicking him a smoldering look.

"Not from around here, I presume." she said, an impish smirk gracing her plump lips. Her black eyes dragged lazily over him, obviously assessing him. The woman was toxic, that was for sure.
