~Slime Mimicry~

Bones' body is completely made up of slime. To anyone who doesn't look too closely he looks perfectly human with a very normal anatomy. However every part of his body is made of slime and thus he can move about without the restrictions of a human form. Which means lots of handy little tricks and techniques for Bones. He has an amorphous body which means his body can stretch, bend, squish, and always springs back to it's original shape.

He can also split into pieces and continue to control any part of himself split off from his body - though his lack of co-ordination makes it rather difficult. It is also harder the further apart the two pieces of his body are. Also only the part of his body with the eyes can see and the part with the mouth can talk, etc. Then when he wants to be made whole again he just brings the two parts back together and they combine back to his original shape. Bones also has the ability to scatter. He can break his body down into many, many little blobs that he regains control over. He can also morph into a more liquid form which allows him to less restricted movement, being able to slip through any crack or opening that would allow liquid through. Though Bones can't stay in liquid form for very long.

Whilst most would assume Bones is impervious to attacks due to his slime physiology however this is not the case. He still has a human anatomy, with organs inside him - specifically a heart. In order to hurt Bones one would have to aim for his heart as it can be damaged as easily as any others'.

Bones is average height for an eighteen year old boy, with genetics that leave him little hope for a last minute growth spurt. He is incredibly lanky with zero muscle on his bones, which is probably fair considering that his idea of exercise is getting out of bed to sit on his computer chair. Though his body type might also be related to his more sickly child years. Which would also explain his pale skin seeming as he has never spent much time outside like the children he used to watch from his window. Though the red undertones of his skin match up with his orange mop hair.

His hair is vibrant and rather long, always getting in his eyes. He either needs a hair cut or needs to start wearing it tied up. It also is rather wavy, some would say curly, but Bones sees it as a more relaxed version of the ringlet curls he had when he was a child. His eyes are either green or hazel depending on who you ask and what kind of lighting he's in, though Bones doesn't really spend enough time looking at himself to tell you what he thinks.

Bones has no distinguishable scars - his gift seeing to that. He also has no tattoos or piercings, with no plans to get any in the future. They're not really his thing, plus they probably wouldn't gel with the current look he's got going.

īŧŗīŧ´īŧšīŧŦīŧĨ
Despite all the money that Bones has at his finger tips, his refusal to dress nice at any occasion is another reason for Bones' dad to be disappointed in his offspring. When Bones was little, his father had him in the best suits money could buy an 8 year old. Since his Dad stopped controlling what Bones' wears though, Bones has had a much more relaxed fashion style. He wears holey hoodies layered over open shirts layered over stained tee shirts. Usually with some sort of fake shark tooth around his neck and ill-fitting jeans covering his legs. He wouldn't change out of this staple to attend a funeral - which is perhaps why his father never invites him to any of his upper crust events anymore.

īŧ°īŧĨīŧ˛īŧŗīŧ¯īŧŽīŧĄīŧŦīŧŠīŧ´īŧš
Bones is an incredibly smart and clever guy. Of course his lack of ambition or drive is an endless supply of tension between him and his father. Bones just doesn't work hard at anything that could be considered even slightly productive. It is almost like he is physically incapable of doing anything that might advance his life. He has no goals or higher purpose in life. He's content living on his dad's dime and has no drive to do better or make something of himself. Though his intelligence makes him a little nerdy. In all his excessive free time, Bones spends of lot of time watching pop culture TV shows, playing video games and researching whatever catches his interest extensively. Which generally means that you might often catching him going off in a rant about the fashion in the 1930's or some other irrelevant topic. He can be a bit of a walking encyclopedia for things that you never really needed to know.

Bones is so enthusiastic about things and loves learning. So when he gets excited about something you can bet he will be up all night looking up everything about it and in a matter of days, he will make himself an expert on the matter. It's not that he likes holding his knowledge over people, he is just so damn excitable about things. Kind of like a puppy when you get him a new chew toy. Though all of this may just be because Bones has always had a lot of time on his hands that other kids his age spent at school or with friends or playing sports. He's a pretty bored guy so he latches on tightly to anything novel and new.

Speaking of time spent in his room alone, underneath the excitable chipper guy, is a boy who is really just very lonely. Which means that the very few friends he's managed to make despite living most his life indoors, he latches onto. His loneliness has made him a little bit needy, not that he'd ever show that outwardly. However he wants to socialize more and he desperately wants to expand his horizons and his social circle. So that comes with an underlying need to be liked and accepted by his peers. Which makes Bones someone very malleable and all together too trusting. He's so eager to please that despite all his intelligence he'd walk right into the lion's den. He doesn't even realize when he's being used or made fun of, he just wants friends to spend time with. Bones has been likened to a golden retriever with the way he is so loyal and always chasing after his friends.

Bones has a playful youthfulness about him. Another reason for the rift between him and his father, the fact that Bones seems to never be able to take anything seriously. He always has a smart ass comment or funny quip at the tip of his tongue. Bones' just doesn't get what's so alluring about acting so serious and stuffy all the time. He for one would not like to live his life with a pole shoved up his butt like his father. With his playful demeanor, Bones has an exuberance about him, despite his time spent ill as a child he's a very lively guy. He also has a bright outlook and a big grin. Bones is at heart an optimist, he just naively believes everything will work out, so he never really puts in any effort to change things.

Bones loves learning. He is often up until the wee hours of the night researching things on his computer. He's a real night owl. Though he might just as easily be up late playing video games or computer games. Reading his thick books is more of a daytime activity for Bones, fiction and non-fiction, he has no preference. Accompanying Bones on his late night activities are usually pizzas, Chinese food, soft drink cans, any lollies, or pancakes drowned in maple syrup. Bones also loves spending time with his friends, even if he doesn't have many, he's working on it. To keep his hands busy Bones can often be found with a Rubix Cube in hand.

īŧ¤īŧŠīŧŗīŧŦīŧŠīŧĢīŧĨīŧŗ
Bones least favorite thing in the world is his father. Along with that he hates expectations. Bones' doesn't believe tests and schools are a true test of one's intelligence. Hospitals, illness and medicine just bring back the sadder parts on his childhood. He can't stand elitists and pompous people, he's done just about enough socializing with the those kinds. Bones doesn't like seeing people in pain. He also refuses to swallow vegetables and hates organised sport or exercise of any kind.

.FIDGETY. "Restlessness is a sign of an underutilized mind. Or at least that's what I tell dad when he tells me to keep still." Bones is always shuffling and fidgeting about. He chews on his nails, picks at things, hops from foot to foot, scratches his head, rocks on his chair and all kinds of other fidgety habits. Bones just can't seem to sit still.
.FATHER. "I love his face gets all crinkled up in anger. Though these days it's more disappointment than anger." Bones has a thing about his father. He can't just shut up and listen to him. Whenever his father say anything or tells Bones to do something Bones just has to do the opposite with a stupid smart ass comment. In fact a lot of things Bones does, he does just to piss off his dad.
.MUSIC. "It helps block out the voices. Just kidding, it's music who doesn't like music." Bones is almost always listening to music on his headphones, which causes him to miss a lot of what people say. It has also made him a little deaf so don't get mad if he asks you to repeat yourself.

īŧ´īŧĄīŧŦīŧĨīŧŽīŧ´īŧŗ | īŧŗīŧ´īŧ˛īŧĨīŧŽīŧ§īŧ´īŧ¨īŧŗ
.PHYSIOLOGY. "I practically have no bones. Now you get the nickname!" Bones slime physiology is what sets him apart from all the other average humans. Most physical attacks can't hurt him so it's very hard to successfully attack him or hurt him.
.INTELLIGENCE. "Well, I don't like to brag, but I'm practically the smartest guy in New York. Maybe even America, is Stephen Hawkings still around?" Bones is very smart and intelligent. He knows an awful lot about a great many varied topics, and what he doesn't know he is already ready to spend a sleepless night researching. Which sometimes is useful if you ever need to know the exact composition of the air on mars. He's not just smart though, he's clever as well being able to solve many complex problems in his head.
.MONEY. "It's technically Dad's, but I'm holding out to get it in my inheritance. I can wait, he's no spring chicken." Bones' Dad has more money then even he can comprehend. Whatever he wants and needs he can just buy, money is literally no restriction on his life. Bones has never once had to even consider the price of things. Of course his dad grumbles and moans about Bones spending his money, but add it to the list of problems between them.
.ENTHUSIASM. "I'm just a guy with a lot of passions." Bones is above all enthusiastic. When something grabs his attention he's all in and it's scary what he can do when he actually sets his mind to a task .

īŧĻīŧŦīŧĄīŧˇīŧŗ | īŧˇīŧĨīŧĄīŧĢīŧŽīŧĨīŧŗīŧŗīŧĨīŧŗ
.LONELINESS. "Literally whatever you need, I'm your guy!" Bones loneliness has left to eager for friends, which means that he is always trying to please his friends and that can leave him in tricky situations. He can never seem to tell is someone is tricking him or using him since he's usually just happy to have someone to hang out with.
.STAMINA. "Nothing a good sleep can't fix." Bones was a very ill child. He has a clean bill of health now, however just a little cold has the power to completely zap him of all his strength. He also can't take too much strenuous exercise before getting wiped.
.WEAK. "Yeah, well, muscles sh-mucles. Who needs 'em?" Bones is psychically weak with zero muscle on his bones. He's never going to win an arm wrestle or physical fight.
.DISTRACTED. "Wandering mind syndrome, or as my dad prefers, laziness." Bones is very easily distracted. If the task doesn't interest him and grab his attention he's very likely to not finish it. In order to get anything too productive done he has to be in a place with no possible distractions around him or he'll lose focus immediately.

īŧĻīŧĨīŧĄīŧ˛īŧŗ
.FATHER. "I'm not entirely sure the guy doesn't have a basement full of dead bodies. Okay, I'm pretty sure he's not a murder, but he does control my flow of money." Bones' dad is cold to him and in general just tired of being disappointed. However Bones' fear is more what his father might do if he eventually is pushed too far. Least of all would be cutting Bones off financially.
.ILLNESS. "What, being sick? It's a walk in the park. If by walking you actually mean laying in bed, and by park you actually mean bedroom. Bones fears getting sick. Since he spent most of his childhood sick and any illness really wipes him out, it kind of makes sense that he's scared of illness.
.GHOSTS. "They can apparently walk through walls, possess people and write in blood. But yeah, being scared of ghosts is for kids." Ghosts gives Bones the heebie-jeebies.

CHARLES WILLIAM ELLINGSTON II | Father | Non-Gifted | 64
"You mean the ocean of disappointment I call Dad?"

SANNE ELLINGSTON | Mother | Non-Gifted | 43 deceased

īŧ¨īŧŠīŧŗīŧ´īŧ¯īŧ˛īŧš
Bones' mother was Sann., a young dutch girl no older that 25, who had a limited grasp of English. Still she packed up and left the Netherlands to find her own way in America. That was when she met Bones' father, a very wealthy older man who charmed her off her feet. They got married quickly and had Bones even quicker. Sanne died in a car accident when Bones was a baby. As Bones would put it 'she was lucky enough to die before she discovered the true nature of the man she had married.' Neither Bones nor his dad talk about her. The harsh truth being neither of them knew her all that well. Bones only being a baby when she died and his father marrying her very quickly and then spending most of the year they were married on business trips. Honestly, she wasn't really a big part of either of their lives.

Bones and his father do not get along. Bones hates his dad, and his dad hates him. Though that fact on it's own is hardly enough to make them special. Many boys resent their fathers, and many fathers are disappointed in their boys.

Bones was born on April Fool's Day, and he is just that, an April Fools prank on his father. From the moment Bones was born he'd had his gift, though it was only discovered when he was 3. He fell and cracked his head in two, then his nanny watched as he stood back up and the two sides of his head melded back together. That nanny was fired and Bones was instructed to never tell anyone about his gift. That was the first time Bones disappointed his father. His father is uber rich simply because his family, the Ellingstons, have always been uber rich. A few well placed investments here and there and the rich just get richer. However, for as long as they have been rich, the Ellingstons have also been part of a privileged upper crust that pride themselves on appearances, and having a gifted child is certainly not the appearance they are going for.

Bones' dad had dreamed of a son just like him, a son to follow in his footsteps. Bones' father was quarterback of his high school football team, Bones was a sickly child who was rarely allowed outside by his doctors, so sports were never on the table. Bones' dad was popular and was his high school's prom king, Bones was home-schooled by numerous tutors due to his low stamina and illness prone body, hence he never really had friends growing up. Bones' dad wanted a son who was smart and ambitious to take over the family business, Bones is smart but he lacks any drive and is happy to just coast through life.

Bones and his dad are opposites in almost every way and all Bones has done is disappoint him. Bones' dad was never affectionate or around all that much, leaving the raising of Bones to nanny after nanny. He only became more distant as Bones became a continued disappointment. Bitterness and resentment grew between the two until present day where they absolutely despise each other. Though neither will cut the other off. Bones needs his dad's money, he lives off his family's wealth which is currently controlled by his father. Bones' dad won't cut him off because he has too much pride as a man to throw his son out on the streets. Plus then he'd have to explain to his upper crust friends about Bones, and his gifted status might even come out.

Emily was having a little.. well that was a stretch of words, but quite a problem seeing over her tower of boxes in her arms. "Just a little bit farther.." She sighed, and bumped into a wall, slowly regaining her balance, just enough to dodge something.. or someone, she happened to see. When she could tilt her head to the side, one of the smaller boxes wriggled out of her grasp.

""Oh shoot! I'm so sorry, sir." She smiled apologetically, doing her best not to send chills down the man's spine. ""I.. uh.. I couldn't see, and I probably should have thought that through a little more." She smiled up at him, trying to gather her things hurriedly. "Moving sure takes a lot of common sense.. which I don't seem to have.." She quietly snickered.

With her boxes in a stack, she turned towards him. "I'm Emily, by the way."

Jay sighed as he left his apartment, sticking his key in the lock. They wanted him to come in for more test shoots with a different batch of second-rate models. Honestly Jay didn't see the point, none of the models were ever going to be flawless, and who really cared. It was a fashion shoot for clothes that would appear in a catalogue next to cereal. Did it really need to be perfect? Jay didn't think so, he just wanted to get it over with, get paid, and get the hell out of the city. Oh, and if they didn't have to put his name on this train wreck of an advertisement, that would be preferable.

Heading down the hallway, Jay looked up to see a blonde struggling with a large stack of boxes. He muttered some form of annoyance under his breath and he tried to duck away from her, though it only resulted in him getting stuck in the crossfire. "Oh shoot! I'm so sorry, sir," She said smiling.

"I'm not a sir." Jay mumbled, he hated being called sir or gentleman, or anything formal. It all sounded so fake and such a waste of time. Jay tried to find his way away from her and towards the elevator. Though this proved to be a difficult task, as he had to avoid standing on any of her stuff that was now scattered across the hallway. Sure there was no way he was going to help her clean up her shit, but he wasn't so rude, as to walk all over her shit.

"I.. uh.. I couldn't see, and I probably should have thought that through a little more." She explained trying to pick up her stuff and Jay's feet. "Moving sure takes a lot of common sense.. which I don't seem to have.."

"Probably." Jay responded bluntly, not seeing the joke in it that she did, though that probably had to do with the fact he was already in a bad mood.. He looked at the time on his phone, he hated feeling like his time was being wasted. Which is how he felt now as he watched her try and scramble up her stuff. "Here." He bent done and started picking up her stuff and shoving it back in the box, he was quick and efficient, though his method was kind of rough. "Too easy," He said dismissively as he shoved the box back her way.

"I'm Emily, by the way." She said introducing herself right as he was about to sneak away.

"Right. Jay." He said, using the least words possible. He was kind of an expert at getting right to the point. Before he pointed to the door next to his, the apartment he knew Emily was moving into. He knew she was moving there because Jay had been here two weeks and the guy, Hamish, who used to live in that apartment just left. "In the kitchen, the cupboard under the sink. Might want to get rid of the mould." Jay wasn't a particularly friendly guy but he had gotten on with Hamish all right, and he had been shown what Hamish had titled the 'Mould Cupboard.' It was disgusting and Jay felt this girl needed some warning. The only reason Hamish hadn't dealt with it was because he knew he'd be leaving soon.

"It's lovely to meet you." She mumbled incoherently, and set the boxes in front of her door, then patted down her pockets for the key, when he said something. "Cupboard under the sink? Mold?" She sighed loudly through her nose. "Are you kidding? Great, a renovation before I can even move in." She rolled her eyes as she locked the key in the handle, pushing open the door.

She was just about to turn around when she heard someone clear their throat. "Excuse me, Miss." The elderly man tipped his little hat, and he smiled smugly. "I'd love it if you could come. I'm Mr. Thompson, the building supervisor." His wrinkles were obviously from smiling too much, and she couldn't help the smile she gave in return. "Oh, hello. I'll try to make it tonight." She examined the flyer, reading:

Hello Residents!

There will be a gathering in the lobby on the first floor, if you wish to attend and get to know your neighbors. There will be refreshments and a dinner supplied, free of charge. It will be held at 6 P.M. and end sometime around 9 or 10 P.M.

Happy Holidays & God Bless!

Mr. Thompson - Building Supervisor

The little man went on his way, and Emily couldn't help but smile a little bigger. She turned to see if Jay was there, and if he might be able to help her with the boxes, but he must have left already. She shrugged, and shut the door as soon as she was finished.

Later that night, she was dressed in a little v-neck black dress that went down to mid-thigh, and she had a white sweater covering her bare shoulders. Her hair was half up, her bangs to the side of her face. She was in the lobby, and smiled at Mr. Thompson again, and after greeting him, she looked around the room, wondering if Jay had come. When she spotted him in a corner, she, with crossed arms, went over. "Well, howdy neighbor." She had a smug grin.

The girl sighed loudly. Just what Jay had expected from her. "Are you kidding? Great, a renovation before I can even move in." She said rolling her eyes. Jay just nodded.

"Welcome to the fucking city." He said under his breathe, and than shoving his hands into his pants' pockets he headed toward the elevator. Jay felt it was his job to share around a little bit of the warmth and joy he felt being in the city.

"Excuse me sir," an older worn out voice called from behind Jay. Jay twisted his head slightly and saw the man he recognised as the building supervisor. Turning back forward he fastened his pace toward the elevator, he was only a few steps away from any forced socialisation. "Ah, excuse me, just a moment of your time." The man said again calling out to Jay. Jay sighed, he'd been caught. So he reluctantly stopped and turned around.

"Yeah?" Jay asked bluntly raising an unimpressed eyebrow at the old man wearing a bizarre hat indoors. Jay looked down at the flier the man was holding out to him. "No thanks, not my thing." He said easily turning to leave. Jay was not interested in getting to know his neighbours. He had enough friends. Besides who wanted to live in the same buildings as friends? How were you supposed to get away from them?

Keep the flier son, maybe you'll change your mind, the old man said smiling, completely undeterred by Jay's brush off. He just shoved the flier at Jay again. When Jay reluctantly, he just gave him a knowing smiling before knocking on the next door down the hallway.

"Not likely," Jay said to himself Jay just as he shoved the flier into his back pocket, walking out of the building with no intentions of attending this Small Gathering.

The test shoot wasn't too bad, and didn't end up putting Jay in a bad mood, which was something. The new models had been worse than the first. All three of them had been temperamental and fussy, though their limited modelling experience and talent gave them no reason to be. Though they had only been around for the first part. After they had left, Jay was free work on his own. Doing test shots for the lighting, backdrops and so forth. That was his favourite kind of work, being alone with him and a camera. He could call all the shots and didn't have to work with other people. Jay was famously bad at working on teams.

Arriving back at his apartment, Jay shrugged off his heavy scarf that had been shielding him from the snow all day. He had gotten a little caught up in his work and had completely forgotten about food so now he was starving. He headed into his apartment's tiny kitchen looking for food. That was another things about the city, everything was so small and cramped Jay felt like a dog longing for open pastures. Rummaging through the different cupboards, Jay found nothing edible. Literally not even an edible scrap of something.

Jay sighed at the thought of heading back out into the cold and noise to buy some food. That when he shoved his hand into his pocket and found the scrunched up flier the man had handed him earlier that day. He didn't quite smile at the prospect of free food inside the building, after all this would mean he would probably have to socialise a little. It definitely beat heading outside to buy some cheap crap to reheat in his microwave.

So that's how he ended up in the lobby, leaning against a wall in a far corner, waiting for the food to be put out. Though then the girl he had met earlier came up to him. "Well, howdy neighbour," She said with a smug grin. Jay just stared at her, trying to remember her name. It was one of those E-M names. Jay sighed deciding it was probably emma.

"Hey Emma," he said not in a mean, leave me alone way, but he didn't exactly smile. "Enjoying all this," he said motioning to the gathering of people around them. They were all chatting quietly, making polite introductions, making small talk about their jobs and the weather. To Jay it all felt so pointless.

Emily raised her eyebrows towards him subtly. "Emma.. that's new. Definitely haven't heard my students call me that." She seemed to trail off in thought, before remembering Jay. "Sorry.. I kinda miss my kids. I was a band director before I moved." She smiled, happy at the distant memory.

"So, why are you in the city?" She asked. "I guess I can tell you mine. Make it fair." She shrugged lightly, and sipped on a cup she'd filled with some juice from the punch bowl on the table. "I um.. I moved to travel, and I'm kinda regretting leaving all my students. They're high schoolers, but, I guess you get attached whether you want to or not." She chuckled, running a hand through her hair.

She looked up to see Jay. Emily, took in his smell, and the way his eyes were too blue, and his chin too chiseled. How he'd look damn flattering in just a faded t-shirt and faded 3 year old boxers. Her eyes brightened up as he was talking, and she held her cup with both hands, hoping he couldn't see the nervousness in her eyes, and her lip twitching as she was taking in more of his appearance by the minute.

"Emma.. that's new. Definitely haven't heard my students call me that," She replied raising her eyebrows slightly.

Jay winced ever so slightly before giving her a sheepish grin and running his hand through his hair. "Sorry, it's Emily isn't it." Emily was his second guess. He wasn't too sorry about forgetting her name, but her face just looked so sweet. It kind of sucked to let her down. Though Jay was pretty much world renowned at forgetting names. Names and faces, he never remembered either.

Then Emily trailed off in thought. "Sorry.. I kinda miss my kids. I was a band director before I moved," She said smiling happily, obviously remembering happier thoughts. Jay gave her a pretty genuine smile, band director seemed like a pretty cool job, it would be good to have another muso in the building. Though before he could get onto music, one of his favoured topics, she spoke up again. "So, why are you in the city?" Jay shrugged a little. It wasn't that it was some secret, it just wasn't that exciting of a story. "I guess I can tell you mine. Make it fair." Jay eyed off what looked like a platter of food moving it way through the lobby on the back of an older woman with strips of grey through her hair. "I um.. I moved to travel, and I'm kinda regretting leaving all my students. They're high schoolers, but, I guess you get attached whether you want to or not."

Jay's attention immediately snapped back to Emily. She had just said to things he completely disagreed with. The first one about being attached to her high schoolers. "Not me," he said bluntly, though after seeing her reaction he realised he better explain himself a little. "I'm really not an attached guy. Kind of the opposite actually. I go where work and my whims take me, if I stay in the same place for too long I get pretty anxious for change," he explained with a few small hand movements. "My Aunt calls me a wanderer." He really should call his Aunt, since he lived only an hour away now, dropping in a for a visit might be nice.

He sighed leaning back against the wall and he looked Emily over, sizing her up a little. "And, why on earth would a girl like you want to travel here." He gave a motion that kind of encompassed the whole lobby, though he was inferring the city. "I have to say, it's not a number one tourist destination. Wouldn't you rather go someone outdoors-y, or beach-y, or even just somewhere a little more empty?"

She sheepishly grinned as she sipped her cup, watching his motion. "It's not so much as where I go, or who's there, or anything. It's more.." She looked at his eyes. ".. like you said. I just go where I want on a whim. I guess I got anxious back in Kansas." She smirked smugly, turning and looking around the room.

"If you don't mind, do you think you could help me with that moldy cabinet sometime? If you get any free time or anything. " Emily shrugged, and threw her cup in the nearby waste bag. She ran a hand through her light blonde hair, and bit her lip.

Emily opened her mouth to let out a sigh, when she checked her phone. It was almost 9:00 P.M. She couldn't really believe that, what had she done? Besides talk to a.. impossible Jay. "Well, if you'll excuse me. I think my last box of belongings is calling me to get unpacked tonight." She smiled, and extended her hand. "It was lovely to meet you, Jay. Maybe I'll see you around?" Emily's smile was bright and hopeful as she let go of his hand, and ran it through her hair, disappearing up the stairs, since she wasn't that far up.

After about two hours, she'd finished her box, and had Christmas lights stringing around the ceiling in her bedroom. She decided on rewarding herself by going out to see the snow. With a black pea coat covering her, and a white scarf tucked around her neck, her hair pushed behind her ears, she stumbled upon the door to the roof of the building, and stood, making shoeprints of her boots in the snow, before sitting on a clear spot on a part of the roof, safe from accidentally falling off the building.

She could see her breath, reminding her of her childhood, being a dragon in the colder months. She sighed at the thought, and snapped her head to the door as she heard it squeak.
