Mac Attack, and Big Mac - Used by himself, or to butter him up.
Shorty, Pipsqueak, Tiny, Small Fry, Angry Midget, etc. - Various jabs at his height that he hates.
Skaterat - It's something that a lot of kids at school refer to him behind his back due to his low social standing. It bothers him much more than he lets on.

Mac is a well built young man with a highly athletic, and toned body. He is rather short, and is very sensitive about this. His attire consists of a long-sleeved, white V-neck shirt with blue lining, a red sweater tied around his waist, dark green shorts, black socks and blue-and-gold sneakers. Underneath his shirt is a loose, black tank top. He wears a black beanie over his head at all times that covers his medium length hair, and a pair of headphones around his neck. He also wears a silver wristwatch on his left wrist. His soul is colored dark orange, and has his beanie head, as well as an outline of his messy hair.
| O D D I T I E S |
He's got many scars all over his body from years of skateboarding, as well as from fighting. But it's nothing too eye catching. He has a Shinigami tattoo on his inner right forearm to show his loyalty towards the academy.

✦ Brave ✧ Protective ✦ Wild ✧ Rebellious ✦ Damaged ✧
Mac is in many ways the product of his environment of being a orphan. For the most part people expect him to be a troublemaker, and if that's expected of him then he won't disappoint. Mac is a very rebellious youth who has an almost compulsive need to defy authority. He does in fact take pride in his disobedience. He's fairly brash, and impulsive, as well as being more than a little reckless. He doesn't think of the consequences of his actions. He's pretty sarcastic, and usually has a smart ass remark up his sleeve. He certainly does like a good wise-crack at someone else expense.
He is also extremely impatient, and a very 'to the point' kind of guy. He doesn't like waiting for anything, wanting to do everything here and now, and isn't one to beat around the bush. He has a bit of a temper as well, and is very sensitive of his height. He has quite the explosive temper, but he is the first to apologize when he lashes out against those he cares about. It doesn't take a whole lot to set him off. Mac has a number of insecurities to him, be it his height, or more prominently his status as a orphan. He tends to feel unwanted, and unloved. He also feels as if he has something to prove, which tends to lead to his more dangerous, and irresponsible actions that is usually to impress others.
Despite all that he is very kind, caring, and extremely protective. He has always put others above his own well being. He is fairly brave, and will stand up to a more powerful opponent no matter what. He is also a very quick thinker, and is able to come up with plans on the fly. Fairly good plans at that. Mac is actually quite smart himself. He could go onto do great things if he would only apply himself. This is especially apparent in his grades at school, which he could easily get straight As if he wanted to. But he just chooses to waste his potential, as he feels that no one would give someone like him a fair chance at life, so why bother. It is this intelligence that actually makes Mac a capable leader when he applies himself.
Despite being seen as the 'bad boy', Mac does have a underlying sense of honor to him, and does genuinely want to help others. He can act quite chivalrous at times, and honorable, though he will deny it with a passion. As he prefers to be seen as a tough guy. He does have some serious abandonment issues due to being a orphan, and holds some deep regret over his past, which he won't talk about.
{"All alone he turns to stone, holding his breath half to death."}

✦Combat - While Mac has little to no formal combat trying make no mistake, he is just as dangerous as the next guy. He is adept at street fighting, and has developed his own sort of fighting style which he incorporates various break dancing moves, and his own athletic ability. Though in actuality it happens to appear similar to the Brazilian martial art style Capoeira, but this is mere coincidence.
✧Athletic - Mac is a natural athlete, and is thus naturally quick and nimble. Though he won't admit it, he is able to use his small stature to his advantage.
✦Smart - Mac is a surprisingly smart young man who has a decent grasp on strategy.
✧Quick Thinking - Mac's mind works fast. He's able to think himself out of trouble in a flash. So he usually plays things by ear, and wings whatever he does, which tends to be a hit and miss sort of thing.
✦Skateboarding - Mac's skateboarding prowess has proven time after time to be a big asset. He is able to quickly outmaneuver most foes. Plus his skateboard is rather tough, and able to take a beating, as he will sometimes use it as a weapon.
✧Soul Force - Mac is able to use Soul Force, a technique in which a select few individuals are able to perform. With this Mac is able to drive his own soul wavelength into a foe's body by physical contact by resonating with his own soul. The incompatible Wavelength can cause strong direct and internal damage. He is untrained in this technique, and can't do it excessively.
| W E A K N E S S E S |
✦Insecure - Mac has a number of insecurities, from his short stature, and more prominent his status as an orphan. His insecurity as an orphan is one of his biggest hang ups. It makes him feel not only unwanted, but also that he has something to prove about himself. His insecurity about him being no good also leads him to wasting his potential, this is especially true about his school life where he rarely, if ever applies himself as he would easily make good grades if he only tried.
✧Impatient - Mac is a rather impatient sort who hates waiting.
✦Show Off - Mac is a rather big show off, and tends to over do things just to show case his skill.
✧Temper - Mac has quite the temper, and it is easy to get on his nerves. He will often blow up in the face of those who anger. But if he blows up at one of his friends he's quick to apologize.
✦Rebellious - Mac has an almost compulsive need to defy authority, and it's something he prides himself on.
✧Untrained In Soul Force - Mac is very untrained in Soul Menace, as it takes a strain on his body. If he uses it too much it could cause some serious damage.
{"He feels so unlike everybody else, alone in spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him."}

Poor little Mackenzie Solomon, always unwanted.
Mac was born in Brooklyn, New York. His parents....well they weren't people that one would talk about in polite company. They were druggie losers with a long history of crime. The only decent thing they did in their entire lives was leaving Mac, only a week old, on the steps of a local orphanage, never to be heard from again, well, for many years at least. So growing up Mac was never the most well adjusted orphan. He developed severe anger, abandonment, and tons of other insecurities.
More days than not he would get in fights with his fellow orphans. Why would he be fighting the other orphans you may ask, well simple, he just felt like it. He used this as a excuse to work his frustrations out. That, and he felt as if he had something to prove. As if fighting anything with a pulse would prove his worth in others eyes. And it did, just not in the way he thought. Mac's tenacity gained the attention of a local street gang who were looking for some up and coming street thug, and Mac was the perfect prospect.
When Mac was approached by the gang he of course accepted. What else was he gonna do? Mac was a reasonably smart young man, and he knew that he would probably end up in the same place as he would if he was part of a gang. So Mac accepted, and joined the gang. And Mac would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it. For the first time in his life he had a sense of family, a sense of purpose, no matter how twisted it was.
Mac was blind to what the gang was actually doing, or perhaps he was simply in denial, but the gang's leader began a nasty habit of collecting human souls. Mac was not privy to these kind of things, he was a low level thug after all, just hired muscle despite his age. Yeah, despite what was going on with his new family things were good for Mac, but then he hit a little bump in the road, when his mother came looking for him.
His mother, Jessica merely wanted to get to know the son she gave up. She told him that she was clean at that point, and that his father was in jail, and she was all alone. She did everything in her power to make it clear that she knew that she couldn't make up for abandoning him when he was a baby, and that she merely wanted to talk to him, get to know him. But Mac wouldn't have any of it. He laid into his mother, releasing a lifetime of pint-up frustration. He told her that he had no parents, that he hated her, and wished she was dead.
These words cut deep, and a few days later Mac got word that she was dead, having overdosed. She was in fact clean when she met Mac, but his words sent her off the deep end. This deeply disturbed Mac, he couldn't get it out of his head. He felt as if he killed her himself. What bothered him the most was the fact that he was so torn up by it. Why should he care? He didn't know her from a hole in the ground. It wasn't like he put the needle in her arm, but why did it feel like he did?
After that it was several months later before he finally got a glimmer of hope that there would be a future for him other than this. That was when he had his first experience with a Meister, and the DWMA. Lord Death had sent a upperclassmen to clear out the gang, as they had fallen off the path of humanity. When the Meister attacked it was like a tornado, swift, but destructive. Mac came in to see the Meister slaughtering his makeshift family. So Mac had attacked him.
The Meister was a highly trained, monster slaying machine, and Mac was just some street punk. So of course he didn't stand a chance. But Mac was resilient, and most of all stubborn. He wouldn't give up no matter what. Despite his lack of formal training, Mac still put up a decent fight on his own, he got in a few good shots on him, which impressed the Meister. As Mac tried to go get in a shot on him he discovered a new ability, he actually projected his own soul into the Meister, performing a Soul Force.
This instantly sapped Mac of all his energy, and he collapsed. Upon closer inspection the Meister saw that Mac was different from the other gang members that he defeated. He saw Mac's soul, he saw that he was a damaged, and wild young man, but he had a good heart despite a life of hardship. The Meister contacted Lord Death, and informed him of the situation, wondering what to do with the young man since he had a lot of potential in him to be a great Meister in his own right. And of course being the softy Lord Death is he didn't want the boy to killed, so he permitted him to bring Mac to Death City for further evaluation.
Upon arrival to Death City, the Shinigami himself had a long talk with Mac. The two spoke about his history, about his future, and the DWMA. After what seemed to be a lifetime of talking Lord Death made a decision. He gave Mac a choice, either he could make up for his past sins, and do some actual good as a Meister working for him, or else he can go to prison, and waste all his potential to help others. And so Mac decided he would join the academy, and become a Meister. Once he had his weapon partner he vowed to make them into a Death Scythe, something that he's adamant about.

As Mac doubled over, and held his stomach Michael grabbed Mac by his hair, and repeatedly, and brutally began beating on the skater. "You think that you can make up for the things you've done?! The people that you hurt?! There ain't no going back from that Macky Boy. People like us don't get happy endings...." Michael then grabbed Mac by his neck, and held him high in the air. "...Just bloody deaths." He then proceeded to throw Mac quite a distance away. As Mac tumbled on the ground he finally stopped at the feet of someone else. He looked to see a ghost of his mother, just staring at him with soulless, dead eyes.
Mac's eyes jolted open as he shot up from his bed. Mac took in several heavy breaths as he ran his fingers through his hair. 'Just a dream. Just a dream.' He looked down at his watch, and saw what time it was. He was going to be late for his first day. Mac quickly got dressed in his usual attire, and rushed out the door. He was squatting in the home of the Meister who first brought him to the Academy, a Meister named Damian, until the time of the first day of school, and when he can get his own place. He was very grateful towards him, though of course he wouldn't admit it.
"Why didn't you wake me up you dick?!" Mac growled as he rushed into the living room/kitchen, adjusting his beanie hat to his liking. "Sorry, I'm not your Mommy. Wake up or don't, it's not my problem." Damian rather coldly stated as he sipped on a cup of coffee. Mac merely groaned in response as he searched the cupboards for a quick breakfast, which he found in the form of the very last hot fudge sundae poptart. Mac opened it up, and placed one of the pair in his mouth, and the other in his pocket as he grabbed his skateboard, and was out the door.
Mac pulled up his headphones, and blasted it's music in his ears as he hopped on his skateboard. Damian's apartment was on the second floor, and instead of climbing down the steps like a normal person he chose to grind down the guard rail of the staircase. Once on the ground he then began his trip to the academy. Along the way he would weave in, and out of traffic to merely piss people off for no reason. It didn't take too long until the academy was in sight.
Mac got off his skateboard, and picked it off the ground. He stared up at the impressive amount of stairs that lead to the doors of the academy. Mac let out a sigh before he looked back up at them with a face of pure determination. "Alright bring it you bastards!" Mac shouted as he rushed up the steps. It took him nearly four minutes before he was finally at the top of the mountain. Mac doubled over, and began breathing heavily. He was in no way out shape, but still, that was a ridiculous amount of stairs.
Mac causally strolled into the school, even though he was over five minutes late. If he was going to be late, then he was going to walk in like he owned the damn place. Mac came into his classroom, being the last one in, and walked in as if nothing was going on, business as usual.
