Introduction
Supernatural beings:
Zombies: There are two types of zombies here. 1. The classical soulless zombie which craves human flesh. Though their bite doesn't turn people into zombies unless the people are killed before bitten. There are only few of these in the city. 2. So called vampiric zombies: By day they look like normal humans and act like normal humans. They even think like normal humans, most of the time. But they don't have a heartbeat. At night they need to feed on blood at least once and don't necessarily need to kill to get blood. Their true undead appearance is revealed in the moonlight.
Vampires: First off, vampires don't sparkle. They might seem to appear as humans during the time they come out: night. But they are very malicious beings.
Ghosts: There are many of them in the city, but only special humans and the undead can see them. Each ghost has a reason not to move on.
Succubi: Succubi are people/demons that attract the young to suck out some of their life energy. Most succubi aren't evil since they don't kill and only need a bit life energy to survive. They can be proven as worthy allies.
Demons: There are some demons in Kusuke city. Most of them are evil but some aren't. They are hard to fight and hard to kill but they aren't immortal.

"You're absolutely sure?" the man reiterated, "I mean... just look at these things..."
He tossed the photographs onto the low glass coffee table in front of him, before taking a drag from the cigarette that was hanging from his mouth. The photographs showed a pair of mutilated corpses, shredded beyond recognition.
"A wild animal could have done this for all we know..."
"No." A womans voice cut clearly through the room, "My source claims the autopsy showed the marks were not made by any animal, it was a human who did this."
The man ran his hand through his hair, "Jesus..."
"Bringing back some bad memories?" The woman questioned affrontingly.
"Shaddap... How do you even know about that?" The man spat.
"I know much more than you think, Jacob." The woman stepped out of the shadows into the glow cast by the fireplace. She was pale, slender, and elegantly shaped, with slight curves that stood out through her black cocktail dress. Her dark brown hair was tied up into a bun, with a lock of hair left over her forehead.
"You would wouldn't you Eve." Jacob mumbled, "Oh well, I'll take my leave..."
He stood up, the paused for a second, then snatched up the photographs, and the manila file on the table, "I think I'll take these too."
"Don't get yourself killed Jake," The woman said, with a pained expression on her face.
"You... You actually have human feelings?" Jackal stuttered, sarcastically.
"Yes, I have feelings... I really really care... About all the misplaced money you are foolishly throwing in my direction in hopes I lead you somewhere!" The woman laughed, "Now go get yourself a nice story."

A familiar smell graze Greyβs nostrils. Blood, terror and death. Oh yes, it was a feeding. Suspecting a vampire near by Grey peers over the roof edge to see a woman hastily walking away from her victim. Her living victim. Grey calm himself as he realised she was like him, albeit much younger. How could he judge her? Back at that age Grey would of slaughter the poor bum. Grey fell into old habits as he began to stalk the young undead woman. He was surprise to see her enter a police station of all places. Guilty conscious leading you to report the crime. Or maybe you work there. How ironic if true. Grey thought to himself.

"Shit... Not this crap again..." Jackal muttered, rubbing his eyes with irritation.
He stopped in view of the police station studying it. It was nothing special, just your average red brick city station. He noticed a blonde woman stride into the building, it wasn't her hair that caught Jackal's attention, or even the fact that she was quite good looking. It was her trench-coat. His mind formed the immediate connection with the various action films he watched, and comics he read as a child, a trench-coat was a sign of importance to 'the story'. He grinned, and started after her.
By the time he had entered the police station, though, the woman had gotten away. He sighed, and approached the police desk.
"Can I help you? The dykey looking officer manning the desk asked.
"Yeah, I'm here to see the unit investigating the 'Stanton Avenue Killings', and the other similar cases." Jackal said in a cool tone.
The officer gave him vicious look, "Who are you, and how do you know about those cases?"
Jackal hopped back to a safe distance, and raised his hands, "Woah, woah~ lady! I just utter those few words and you're all over me! Calm down, I'm just here to help, I'm a private investigator with new evidence to present to the investigation team."
He whipped out a badge, but only kept it in sight long enough for the woman to catch a glimpse of it. If she had been able to study the hunk of metal he had just wave in front of her face she would have been able to tell it was no more a police badge than a paper mache balloon, it was actually a medal he had won from a kick boxing tournament a few years back that was shaped similarly to a police badge. His blatant lie about bing a private investigator was only a ploy to gain access to the investigation team. Once he knew their faces it wouldn't matter if the kicked him out, he could find them and badger them until they spilled the beans on this case.
The woman still looked suspicious, even when she picked up the phone and began punching in numbers.

Jackal turned to study the officer. It was Madame Trench-coat. He engraved her features into his memory before speaking.
Knowing the phoney badge wouldn't work a second time he decided to change the story slightly.
"Ah... Sorry about that... Umm... I think... Jane misherd me... I'm a private journalist! ...Who is investigating the murder cases that been springing up around these parts..."
That part of the truth just wasn't going to cut it, so he added a little more, "Investigating in regards to the fact that they are remarkably similar to a case I reported on a little while ago, I'd like to find out more about this new case and compare it to the one I referred to... I have no badge."
Jackal put on an apologetic grin, and scratched his head. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the woman at the desk prepare to object, and ruin his chance, and depending on how uptight the station was, would get him prosecuted under that shitty fraud act passed a few years ago for attempting to gain access to information under a false identity.
"Sorry, Officer Williams, I'd really like to talk to you about the case, but I really don't like police stations, they make me feel like I'm in trouble for something... Could we go and talk somewhere else? Like a coffee shop or something?"
Jackal, edged towards the door, still facing the officer, and raised his left arm in the direction of the door almost pleadingly.

After a lengthy application of a realistic mask grey suited up to play the part right. A none district brown suit, a flat cap, blacked out shades, a blindβs man stick, fold up chair and saxophone. βNo one expects the old blind man busker, hahaβ Grey chuckled to himself. Luckily the police station was only a 30 minute walk from Greyβs bookstore so he got there in no time. Once there he walked across the street, unfolded his chair, placed is flat cap near by and readied his saxophone. But before he had chance to play a blond haired man caught his attention the man in question entered the police station. Some how this thirty something man looked familiar to Grey, although he had no idea why.
βWell this is an interesting police station, seems to gets all sorts of people hereβ Grey thought to himself. Finally Grey started to play the saxophone. Unfortunately he hadnβt played for at least forty years so he was pretty bad. Luckily it had become harder and harder for Grey to get embarrassed over the years.
