Image

The land of Tara has eight feuding kingdoms constantly at war with one another. Just recently the rulers of these kingdoms have decided to put their differences aside and form one powerful alliance. Unfortunately...not everyone is in agreement. To prove that ex rivals CAN get along, each ruler sends the heir of their kingdom to live with the other heirs. Will this plan explode in their faces...or will the eight bickering youths learn to get along.

The Kingdoms

Idalia: The Kingdom of Festivity. Idalia is known for its hot weather and festivity. Idalia's people are always celebrating something...always. They are known best for their floral clothing, parades, and dramas. They use floral magic.

Bodor: The Land of the Weeping Moon. Bodor has a bad reputation as the kingdom of darkness. Not much is known about them,as they isolate themselves from the rest of Tara.Their nights are extended due to being so far into the north. What creatures lurk in the night there are unknown...They use dark magic.

Serinia: The Kingdom of the Morning Sun. The Serinians live in floating islands in the sky. They are a very peacefull people, known for their virtue and morals. Although almost god like, they consider the other kingdoms savage. They are also very religious. They use light magic.

Gent:The Land of Towering Tree's. Gent relies on the land for much of its resources. It is home to fierce warriors, and simple green thumbs alike. The people of Gent life in glorified tree houses. They all greatly respect nature and use earth magic.

Meledonia: The Iron Clad Land. Known for their ferocity on the battle field Meledonians are made of tough stuff. There blacksmiths and forgeries are the best in the world. They have to be because everyone wears armor. They use combat magic.

Meroqua: The region of Azure Sea. The people of Meroqua actually LIVE underwater. They are not your generic mermaids though...they don't have tails. Due to their highly sophisticated scientific knowledge they are able to thrive in the sea. They use water magic.

Thermalia: The Land of Eternal Flame.Thermalia is actually built on the side of an active volcano. Hot molten is not an uncommon sight for the hotheaded residents. They can survive in any heat, and use fire magic.

Christopher was so happy he could almost squeal. All the heirs, sitting at a table covered in his food, and Enjoying it! Sure, the king of Idalia had requested him more than once, but this was all of them under one roof! Over the few weeks he had to prepare for them, he had studied emencily on each other's culture and food preparation. He didn't want to dwell on the fact that he had pulled many all nighters, or that he had fallen asleep practising many times. Instead, he enjoyed the moment he had standing in the kitchen door.

After a few moments, he walked towards the table and smiled. His white chef's outfit had barely any stains at all, while his kitchen hands were covered in them. He had made sure that his bandana had been pushed back far enough to keep his hair out of his face and the food, but it needed to be tightened after hours of moving his body around. He sucked in a quick breath and spoke to the future leaders.

"Good afternoon everybody. I am Head Chef Christopher." He bowed slightly, hoping that the fact he was probably only 2 years older than most of them wasn't known. "I hope the food fits each of your personal tastes. If you need anything, I shall be in the kitchen awaiting your order." He turned around, and then remembered. "Oh! I just forgot. I will be your caterer and chef over your stay here, and am hoping that we will get along perfectly." He smiled in his happy, bubbly way and walked away, back to the kitchen. What he didn't realize was by saying that he was their food preparer over their stay also had the double meaning of: i'm making your food, so please don't piss me off.

Kyu looked down at her small plate of food. She picked up her fork and poked at the small piece of eel on it. She then looked at the small proportions of mashed potatoes and rice and smiled. She spun her plate so the eel was in front of her. She stabbed the fork into it and bit into it, feeling the juice of the meat soak into her mouth. She ate the rest in small bites and smiled so slightly it would only have been noticed by the most observant people. Glad he knows our country isn't accustomed to eating much... I must thank him later for studying tradition, but in privacy. She then ate the rest of her food and placed all of the dishes and silverware back into their positions. She place her hands on her lap and sat, waiting for everyone else to finish eating. She turned to one of the maids and gestured her over. She smiled sweetly as the maid scampered over, knowing she was nervous approaching royalty. She whispered into the maid's ear. "Please tell the chef that the princess of Meledonia would like to speak to him after dinner. I want to give my regards in person." The maid nodded and walked away swiftly, heading towards the kitchen to tell the chef. She then turned back to the table, searching through her brain for the name of him so that she wouldn't seem disrespectful.

Steven sat down at the table quietly, and looked down at the food that was in front of him. He picked up his fork and started to pick at the food, eating a few bites. Why are we even trying to pretend that we can get along with each other? I mean I want to have peace in the kingdoms, but I just don't think its quite possible, he thought to himself, placing his fork on his barely touched plate. He placed his hands in his lap and waited for dinner to be over.

Seeing that most of the heirs were keeping to themselves Lily could rest at ease since no one was trying to make a conversation with her at the time. One of the servants holding her bright pink suitcase came over "Your heightens I you sure about the no powers rule" he said with an attitude of worry under his breath."I'll be fine, don't worry" Lily said with a bright smile. All the servants nodded their heads in unison "we'll go put the luggage in your dorm, you can go ahead and go eat" another guard said holding a blue shoulder bag."Thank you" Lily said while she walked off to the dinning hall. Once Lily was out of the guard sight she tried to get herself relaxed before lunch. Lily walked into the dinning hall, seeing that everyone was already eating she walked over to a empty seat with a plate fool of food on it. She sat down to see Eel on her plate. I am not eating this, I'll just wait until everyone's done. Lily just sat in her chair quietly not saying a single word.

While the guards went and put Silias' luggage away he decided to secretly scout out the mansion. While the strange red headed woman had said no magic could be used on other heirs, she had not said anything on just using simple harmless magic had she? A thin smile crept across his lips. He briefly muttered a small chant under his breath, and his pupils dialated, his gaze fading into a thousand yard stare. He was not seeing through his eyes, but through the eyes of the darkness. After all, his people were adepts when it came to shadow magic. This spell told him everything he needed to know about the house, where the library, which while not as big as his, was impressive. He saw the dorm rooms, something that perturbed him slightly, and he also saw the kitchens where a young man barked orders to wait staff serving a plate of...oh dear god was the scarlet steak? h thought snapping back to attention. Sweet mother of the damned that was scarlet steak with crimson berry sauce and tomb cake at the side! He instantly began to drool.

He sprinted to the dining hall, finding the...table of friendship? Did I fall into one of those weird table top games me and Holm used to play in the dungeons with the dungeon masters son? He thought to himself rather cynically. The premise had been an adventure game where one rolled eyes (Bodor speak for Die) to deal damage to monsters. Silias had been a master dual class necroblood mage of a really high level. However he outgrew the faze, but yet he would still occasionally hear from the pits "Roll for damage" and the groans of the prisoners they had forced to play with them. Snapping back to reality he found the Idalian prince and several others eating. His dish sat unattended, covered by a fancy silver dome. A quick glance revealed that all the others had dishes of their own culture. Silias sat down and smiled at Wolf, "AH what do you think of the dorms?" He asked casually as he lifted the dome.

His eyes glanced down, and his mouth began to salivate as the sweet aroma of blood-berries (AKA strawberries), chocolate, and steak filled the air. Bodor was well known for it's dreary weather, and their citizens were considered...eccentric. However, nothing could compare to Bodorian cuisine when it came to deserts. It seemed like the country of shadows had a killer sweet tooth. Quickly, he devoured his food, which was astonishing becausfor a fictional planet called "Earth" that he often song about. Reading as he did Silias was fluent, well sort of....

Christopher was having the time of his life, happily washing the dishes. He always did them himself, he refused to let any of the servants or kitchen hands to do them. He had always done dishes, because that is what started his career in foods. Chris always believed that not only does the food have to look appatizing, but the dishes must look like they are delectable too. Not that anybody had eaten the dishes yet. But washing the dishes always took him back to simpler times, and equally as happy times, training and learning. He was hoping that everybody was enjoying the food.

Unknown to nearly everybody was the fact that every maid and servant out there was under his rule for meal times, and he usually got them to report back to him on each person's eating habits, their dislikes, their likes, and such. When a maid returned with a 'report' Chris was happy to hear that one of the ladies, Kyu of Meledonia, wanted to thank him personally! Christopher was ecstatic. Not only did he love compliments, but he liked talking to people, hearing their criticisms and getting to know them better. He was shocked to find that a few of them were not eating. He was slightly disappointed, but assumed that they had a lot on their mind, which was explainable. Nevertheless, Christopher was a people person and very self concious of his cooking, so a few maids were sent out to ask the heirs not eating if the food wasn't up to their standards. Each maid approached the non eating person and asked "Is the food not satisfactory to your tastes?"
(i'm not gunna list them all off, you know who you are. )

Although most expressions seemed to evade her, Amaritzia had to arch an eyebrow at the Idalian princes words. So he was a sweet talker...not that she was surprised. It was said even Idalian babies had musical cries, something she had only half believed until now.

"Injustice or not...isn't all poetry misleading, every day matters hardly need to be described so dramatically." Her eyes flickered with slight curiosity to the bird perched on his shoulder. . So this is the game you want to play Idalia...well its amusing so I will play too. Amaritzia picked at the food on her plate, shooting a sideways glance at the Prince of Bodor's meal, and then immediately back to her own. She felt like she could get a cavity by just staring at his food for too long.

Serenity finally took a bite of her food, savoring the taste in her mouth. It was a piece of rustic fish and it tasted delightful! Serenity took a few more bites of her dish while observing everyone who just came to the table and who were already at the table. Everyone was still quiet and seemed too shy or wary to establish a conversation. The only ones who were making any kind of talk, as it seemed, were Wolfgang, Silas, and Amiritzia. "I wish Lady Bumblebee wasn't so shy. She could have came to dinner with me...", Serenity thought, believing that she was missing out on both of their favorite cuisine.

After finally finishing her plate, with much satisfaction, Serenity wiped her mouth with her napkin, lightly, trying to remove any particles that were on her pale pink lips. She then set the napkin back in her lap and folded it into a small square. Serenity would always do this ritual after she ate, wanting to stay neat and tidy. One of the maids crept, silently, behind her, asking her if there was anything else that she needed and that if the food was to her utmost liking. That made Serenity jump a little, startled by the sudden reference from the maid to her, "Oh!...No thank you. I am truly fine. The Serenian cuisine, that the chef made, was superb", she delightedly complimented as the maid, happily, took her dirty plate away.

Steven glanced over at the maid, who asked if the food wasn't to his liking, and gave a small smile. "No the food is fine, I just do not eat much. I apologize if I have offended the chef in any way," he said with a slight nod of his head. Can't I just go home? I had dinner with the heirs, isn't that enough? he thought to himself with a sigh. Well I don't see the point of sitting here any longer if I am not going to eat anymore, he thought as he stood up. "If you'll excuse me, I will be taking my leave from dinner," he said, giving a small bow and walked towards the door quietly.

Wolfgang smiled at Princess Amaritzia's response and simply said, "perhaps, but your beauty can hardly be consider as an everyday matter." He then gestured to the hummingbird on his shoulder, "Her name is Dalia, an Amazillia Hummingbird and my lovely companion." Wolfgang tapped the table in front of Princess Amaritzia's plate and Dalia fluttered down to sit there, peering at the Princess, "do pardon her if she tries to peck you, your beauty is a flower she's never seen before."

To Silias's inquire about the dorm room Wolfgang answered, "It was certainly a surprised to find that we were not to have our own rooms. I find the wardrobe much too small for my tastes but it is all for the sake of friendship so I shall endure." He then glanced down at Silias's sweet-filled plate, "I see that the Prince of Bodor has quite the sweet tooth, then dear Silias, you simply must try our Idalian honey and honey mead, or what I like to call them: the Gods' Nectar. They are out of this world. It is such a pity that the previous wars have prevented their exportation. Perhaps we could convince our talented chef to procure some for us."

Wolfgang had recognized the chef from his introduction earlier and as he dug into his meal he could finally understand why his father had gone to such great length to try to recruit the chef. Wolfgang caught one of the maid and drew her aside, "my compliments to the chef and do tell him that the Prince of Idalia humbly asks him to reconsider our royal father's offers once his service here is done. His addition to the Idalian Royal kitchen would be much appreciated." Wolfgang tucked a small lily into the girl's hair as thanks and sent her on her way back to the kitchens.

Wolfgang glanced to his right as the Prince of Gent excused himself from the table, he had been quiet throughout the entire dinner, making no attempts at conversation. He considered going after the Prince. It would be very beneficial if he was to approach the Prince first as their lands share a large border but his conversation with the two Northern powers are just as if not more important. He will have to try to remedy the situation later.

Christopher
When the news came back from all of the maids he had sent out, he had finished the cleaning of the dishes and moved onto the rest of the room. He was quite giddy about their responses, so he stopped what he was doing and heard them all out, one by one.

"The Serenian Princess reports that the food was suberb and that you did an excellent job with the cuisine." He smiled, extremely happy. He knew that he was quite self concious when it came to his cooking, but the thought that people liked his cooking always made him happy. "the Prince of Gent apologizes if he offended you, claiming he doesn't eat much." Chris' eyes frowned. If he had done more research, he would have known that. He cursed under his breath at his carelessness at the lack of research and commitment he had, but asked the next maid to continue. However, the maid blushed slightly, and he looked up. He instantly noticed the lily in his hair and smiled widely.

"And what does the fair prince Wolfgang have to say, miss?" he teased. She then stuttered out, obviously smitten with the affection that she had recieved by the prince. "He asks that after this ordeal is done, that you reconsider their offer to you, and that your services to their kitchen would be much appreciated." Chris remembered when he had been offered the job. He had to take many days to figure out if he really wanted to give up his shop and work for the king. However, it seemed fate intervened and he didn't have to decide, instead being thrown into this glorious little house. "Thank you ladies, you may resume your normal duties." He said, dismissing them.

The Bodorian prince had to wipe a small amount of drool from his lips. "Honey you say?" He said, feigning disinterest. "I simply must try it, I find that we will all be sharing in our customs, so if you bring honey I must introduce you to tomb cake, it's an amazing dish made of twenty different kinds of chocolate, said to be so good the dead would rise to eat it if you set it on a tomb." Silias added smirking. Seeing the Idalian prince draw aside a maid he too decided that thanking the chef would be a good idea. He beckoned a mousy looking maid forward.

"My compliments to the chef" he said smiling lightly. "Also, add that the Bodorian court would triple the pay offer of Idalia for his services." The last part he lightly whispered into her ear, his breath playing upon her cheek like a sweet fog. He could feel heat resonate from her blushing cheeks. He then turned to the others at the table, "I have met Prince wolf here, but I have yet to meet any of the rest of you. Allow me to introduce myself first. I am Requiem Nighte, but I find that name so..." he searched for the right word. "Drab. Instead I go by Silias, which is what you may call me." He paused and then added, "Unless any of the princesses comes up with a cute pet name for me of course." He added smiling. God all the smiling made his lips hurt! However his father would beat him with a rusty potato if he didn't act charming and social. And yes potatoes do rust if you let them sit awhile... actually, I lied, they don't.

Kyu sighed as one of the princes left. She looked to everyone that was still at the table, not finding one of them to be acting serious. This is all fun and games to them, isn't it? She stood from her chair after Silias finished speaking. She bowed slightly. "Since we seem to be giving introductions, I am the princess of Meledonia. My name is Kyu, and that's how I am addressed. I will answer to no other name, for my name was given to me by my country and I respect that." She then smoothed her skirts as she sat down, pulling her old and worn black rabbit doll from her hidden pouch underneath her waist ribbon and placed it on her lap, petting it as if it were a real rabbit. It was the only thing in her world that mattered to her.

Steven walked out of the dinning hall and out of the building, returning to the forest, next to the river. He sat down quietly and leaned up against a tree. He stared into the water, watching it flow over the rocks creating small rapids. As he sat there staring, he thought about this whole alliance thing. I know that it's a good thing and I should be trying to make it work. But most of them seem cold, and as though they don't want this to work or that they're here to gain allies with a few countries, not all of them, just whoever will make good allies for their country.

Serenity placed the, newly, folded square napkin back on the table, when the Bodorian prince, Requiem Nighte, finally spoke up and introduced himself to the rest of the royal company, "I have met Prince Wolf here, but I have yet to meet any of the rest of you. Allow me to introduce myself first. I am Requiem Nighte, but I find that name so...Drab. Instead I go by Silias, which is what you may call me". Serenity smiled, nodding her head gently, acknowledging Silas with much respect. She then couldn't help but giggle, amused, when Silas added that any of princesses could give him a special name, if they wanted to. He seemed like a comical figure, dark with innuendos at times, but still delightfully funny. Then the princess of Meledonia rose from her chair, quietly, and introduced herself, seriousness etched on her face.

"Since we seem to be giving introductions, I am the princess of Meledonia. My name is Kyu, and that's how I am addressed. I will answer to no other name, for my name was given to me by my country and I respect that.", she quickly stated, wanting absolute respect to her name while sitting back down in her seat. Serenity nodded her head to Kyu, politely, remembering to keep her name as is. Serenity then spoke up, "I am Serenity Astrella Cosmos and I reside in the ethereal kingdom of Serenia where I was birthed. All of you can nickname me Serena. Everybody back at my home calls me that", she finished seeming, surprisingly, cheerful, leaving someone else to introduce themselves.

Your beauty is a flower she's never seen before well that was a new one. Amiritzia chewed on the inside of her cheek, resisting the urge to say something rude...or dumb...or both. "There you go with your metaphors again, how many times have you used that one" she muttered to herself. Giving Dalia a look that said 'don't you dare peck at me!'

There she was stuck, between Bodor and Idalia...and honestly she wasn't sure which one was worse. She had no words to describe the flirtatiousness that was Idalia...and she could give Bodor quote a few names that weren't exactly nice. Her relief when Princess Serenity walked over was indescribable. "Hello Serena...if you don't mind me calling you that.I'm Amiritzia of Edur." She spoke uncharacteristically warmly,a tribute to the one who had saved her from...those two.

Wolfgang polished off the last of his delicious meal and called Dalia back on to his shoulder. "Well, that was simply delightful! I shall excuse myself from your gracious presences. I look to exploring this beautiful manor and see what interesting things that must await us during our stay here together." Wolfgang cast a glance around the table, his eyes lingering briefly on each of the princesses. "Of course, anyone wishing to join me would be most welcome..."

Christopher
Christopher noticed the dinner was starting to wind down, and was quite satisfied by the entire ordeal. He already had one request from a princess that they talk after, and another offer from Idalia. What was surprising was the Prince of Bodoria's offer. Triple the cash offer of the Idalians? Tempting... He wasn't sure of what the motives behind the Prince were, but Christopher wanted to explore the offer a bit. Sure, many royals gave him offers to be their chefs, but never a Bodorian. Their lifestyle was slightly different than his own, their foods a little different than his normal style. But he was up to the challenge.

Christopher finished the dishes that came in, and walked towards the doorway to peer in on them. They all looked like they were enjoying themselves, but he knew that it would take a while before their true colors to show. The true question, obviously, was: How would he help them make the transition? By doing what he did best; cooking awesome food and talking to them.

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.

Mobs

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!

Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!

Current Mobs

No mobs have been created yet.

Spawns

Locations where Mobs and Items might appear.

Events

You can schedule events for your players to create notifications and schedule times for everyone to plan around.

Permissions

Add and remove other people from your Universe.

Orphanage

By marking a character as abandoned, you can offer them to your players as pre-made character sheets.

The Forge

Use your INK to craft new artifacts in Eight Kingdoms. Once created, Items cannot be changed, but they can be bought and sold in the marketplace.

Notable Items

No items have been created yet!

The Market

Buy, sell, and even craft your own items in this universe.

Market Data

Market conditions are unknown. Use caution when trading.

Wolfgang: Books? Psh, why books when you could be PARTYING PARTYING YEA! PARTYING PARTYING YEA! FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN! etc.

On a side note, I'll probably be gone for most of this weekend, so I apologize if I cannot post. Just assume that Wolfgang is sitting leering at the girls with a big dopey grin on his face, "hur hur hur hur"

Silias: Good boy Cerby taking my side, I'll be home soon and then we'll score you some Fine Undead bitches (as in dogs lol)

Commandant Woffums: I forgot he was a moron when it comes to dog speak....

Amaritzia: Idiocy comes in many forms Woffuns...if the Prince is one of them (or all of them) so be it.

Yea, I've also noticed that from the location tab, just to make sure, the characters ARE rooming together yes? If so, how big is the common room, how much space could each character expect to have (a bed, a desk, a wardrobe, a bookshelf, etc), or are the characters forced to bunk together?

Well since there are four of each...a bed in each corner and a respective wardrobe and desk for the bed owner. No bookshelf just because I am evil. ^_^

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

Ladies and gents (and a side not to those who wish to keep their gender anonymous) If I have observed correctly it seems that the princes and princesses will be sleeping in Common rooms for each gender. It's not like we can be reasonable and let Silias have some private time with his...erm...art....

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

I found out why it happened, its because one of the suggestions to make the site better was to make it like an actual forum site where the oldest is first. And people had been complaining about having to scroll through the really lengthy posts to read them and then having to scroll through them again to read the others.

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

I thought I was the only one when this happened lol!

Good I'm not going through this alone. v__v

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

This bugged me out too....

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

@ JokerofSpades: Mines doing that too, I freaked out because I thought I lost about half of each roleplay. Its so weird, I don't like it very much.

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

Quick question guys. Either my internet has gone completely nuts, or the layout of the site has changed. instead of the new posts on the top, they are on the bottom D: And it is REALLY freaking me out.

Re: [OOC] Eight Kingdoms

*bows* my thanks...

i would post, but I don't wanna hog the spotlight... I'm ridiculous when it comes to posting. Given a great day like today I can churn out thirty to forty posts...

I'll try not to be too wordy, I understand that people don't necessarily want novels. However I will not cut back on sarcasm, dark humor, and wit. I hope you all find some of my posts lolworthy, I try really hard.

"They must have partied real hard when you left" yes I did LOL awesome job!
