The Basics...

Since the dawn of time, there has always been a race, religion or - in this case - species that has been cast out of society or dragged lower than most others; it's inevitable. In this modern world, people are learning to accept these people, though prejudice still exists, unfortunately. Our story does not follow ordinary people, but those of whom are gifted with talents or abilities that separate them from ordinary humans. They are either born with these gifts, or have only recently come into them. Either way, they are looked at in disgust as they go about their daily lives; some do well to hide their gifts and are simply just lonely, seeking the support and company of others like themselves, whereas others can't hide their abilities and have been practically banished - for lack of a better term - from their homes.

Eroryus, a reasonably-sized area of land in England that is hidden away in the forests where no human would ever venture far enough to reach, offers the outcasts a place where they may live in peace with people who are floating in the same boat. The house itself sits in a clearing deep into the woodland area, surrounded by the dense forest and all things surviving within it. It is incredibly large in size and, in all honesty, looks like something that a rich millionaire would use as a vacation home, with features such as a pool, a small garden area and multiple balconies. With five bedrooms, it is almost compulsory that each person in the house pair up with a friend and share a room - each of which has a small but private bathroom built in. Outside of the path, in the garden area, certain paths lead to different areas in the woodland that are beyond beautiful, with a slight sense of tranquillity; the whole area is quite peaceful, actually.

Your Invitation...

Because Eroryus is in a location that is impossible for humans to gain access to, one cannot simply just stroll right in. Instead of your character finding the house, Glitch (the owner of the house) will have found them and sent them an invitation which arrived at their current place of residence. It is only when they have been invited and follow the instructions that they'll be able to find the house. The story starts when each person starts to arrive at the house to find Glitch and Alex (her companion).

Characters...

I'm not going to be strict about this, because I'll be adjusting the character limits depending on how much interest people show in the roleplay. However, I'm aiming for at least 8 characters, not including the 2 that I control. I'd like to keep the number of males equal to the number of females in this roleplay, please.

Below, I'll be adding basic information, a gif and a description of some sort to give the basic idea of your character. If you'd like to write a description of your own, please write it into your CS, or send it via PM/chat. It's your choice, really.

~

Glitch | Thousands | Immortal Hybrid | Female | f(x)'s Krystal | Taken by Scavenger.
Image
Role/description: Glitch's history remains to be a mystery, most of which she cannot even remember herself. However, while she keeps most of the details to herself, it has been quite an eventful - for lack of a better term - past, in which she has done many unspeakable things. Despite her sweet, cute and childish appearance, Glitch is feared for many reasons. Her temper can change like the wind, though she is caring of her friends and family; she has many centuries behind her to back her up, as well as gifts she received from both her Fae and Vampire blood. She takes in the helpless and aids them during their recovery from many years of isolation, and does well to earn the respect and care of her friends.

~

Alexander Devon | 20 | Lycanthrope | Male | Nico Mirallegro | Taken by Scavenger.
Image
Role/description: Born as a Lycanthrope, presumably with the wolf blood of his ancestors, Alex was an outcast in his community from the moment he was found to be different, which was - as a guess - around his sixth birthday. The only reason he hadn't been cast out sooner was because he was only a child, whom was helpless and needed care, naturally. When he reached the age of maturity, he was inevitably kicked from his home. He found beds where he could, before receiving an invite from Glitch. In need of a home, he turned up at the building hidden in the woodland after following his given instructions. Ever since, he has been at the woman's side constantly, practically acting as her right hand.

~

Cheyanne Carter | 126 | Phoenix | Female | Amber Heard | Taken by Miss_Dreamer.
Image
Cheyanne was born from the ashes of an abandoned home. No family. No friends. Just her and her ashes. She was found by woman and raised as her own. But Cheyanne didn't like her or care about her. So she left at age 8 and raised herself. For a long time she was by herself and doing just fine. When she discovered her abilities, she embraced them and practiced whenever she could. Receiving the letter made her happy beyond relief. This Phoenix was ready to come out of hiding.

(More characters will be added as they are submitted. This is, in no way, the final number of characters.)

The Phoenix's fingers trailed over the letter in her hand. The words on the page cycled over and over in her mind. A place where she doesn't have to hide. A place where she can interact with other people that were outcasted most of their lives. The idea of this place sounded too good to be true, but Cheyanne doesn't have anywhere else to go. She has seen everything the humans had tried to offer, but they had come short. She was 126 years of age. The young women had lived one century and everything seemed the same. A new scenery was something that she needed and the letter in her hand was offering that chance to her. She folded the letter and looked out the taxi window. She had arrived. Well she had arrived on the outside of the woods. It was very well hidden. The taxi stopped.

"Miss are you sure this is your stop? I'm sure there is a town a couple miles over," The man in the drivers seat had said to her. His accent was thick and he was very old. It was cute how he was trying to look like he was helping when he really wanted to charge her more money. Cheyanne wasn't stupid and she didn't want a human to see the place. "I'm fine. Thanks" The woman let herself out of the car and tossed him some money. The look on his face meant that she had tipped him too much, but Cheyanne didn't care. The phoenix pulled her bag from the spot next to her and pocketed the invitation. She slammed the taxi door shut and he drove off. All that was left was her and the smoke from the car.

She turned to face the edge of the woods and she took a step inside. Taking cautious steps, she was aware of her surroundings. If this was a trick she didn't want to get jumped in the woods. It didn't take long until the house that the letter said she would arrive at, appeared before her. It was grand. Lovely. Elegant. And it was just the outside. A small smile formed on her face as she grew closer. It seemed that she was the only one here. Good. First pick. The house had a set of grand double doors. She pushed it open and let herself into the place. The beauty took her breath away. "Hello?" the fire bird called out. No response. "Guess I'll have to make myself comfortable".

Cheyanne's first plan of action was to find a room to put her bag down. It was big and bulky. A lot of her clothes were inside and she was sick of hauling it around. She made some lefts, some rights, and a couple of u-turns before she found bedrooms. She was happy that she was given the chance to put her bag away and get settled. "Now which one do I want" she said. Her walking pace slowed as she walked by each room. She stopped in the middle and looked at the different doors. "Eenie, meenie, minee... her finger stopped at the second door. "you." she opened the door and walked inside. The room was just as amazing as the house she was in.

The bird put her bag on the bed and she left the room. She wanted to look around the area she was staying. Cheyanne wanted to know more about the people that sent the letter and why they sent it. The place was nice, but she didn't trust the people that sent it. Not yet.

Jae Daniels

Jae squinted at the paper in front of him, easily walking over loose branches and wizened, protruding roots. A light breeze was following him, an unconscious manifestation of his powers. He spent so much time in the woods, how would he be able to control himself in an environment like this? But he had to at least try, it would be rude not to. If only it wasn't so bright maybe he could focus a little better. His glow flared red for a second, annoyance burbling in his system, but he calmed himself into a flickering yellow. His glow was hard to see in the light, unless he concentrated it in a certain area, which he was feeling much too lethargic to do at the moment. Hopefully he'd find the stupid house soon so he could go back to sleep.

Behind him the young man hauled a duffel bag full of questionable loot. What? He needed clothes. He may have not spent more than a few days at a time around other people in a few years, but he still knew that normal people didn't wear the same clothes over and over again for months. It was easy with his cloaking. And he didn't take too much. Just what he needed. And a few snacks. And a handheld game system. And some games, just in case he got bored. Also a few paperbacks. Yeah. Not too much.

He'd been excited to respond to the summon when the moon was still high and he'd just left the local Walmart, but now that the sun was out a headache was blooming in the front of his head and he was looking more bedraggled as he walked. The deep circles under his eyes appeared. His hair became more ruffled from the way he was almost constantly tugging his impatient hand through it.

Maybe this was a bad idea. Not the stealing, he did that all the time, but the showing up here. He wasn't really cut out to be around people. Talk to people. Especially people like him. People with powers. Mortals didn't have much to hurt him with if he annoyed them. These guys probably did. The breeze behind him stiffened, ballooning his white shirt out in front of him. He caught it with the hand holding the letter and the wind died down instantly. See, this was the kind of thing that could get him into trouble. It was definitely not a good idea to be here.

Despite his reservations about this whole deal, Jae didn't stop walking until he spotted the place the letter talked about through the thick trees. Ah, hikers instincts, worked every time. The sun was good for somethings, like orienteering. He wasn't sure how the owner of this note had found him, holed up in the home of some rich people who were on vacation for a few weeks, but there it had been and now here he was. A smirk wandered across his face for a second, his glow brightening to an electric blue. That home had been great. Plenty of food, nice beds to sleep on, a pool, some money to 'borrow'.

As the trees opened up above him, a sound of respect choked out of Jae's throat. Wow. This place was nice. He folded his hands behind his head, slinging his duffel over his shoulder, where it hung limp, half filled. He pushed the door open, peering around the front room as well.

"Hello?" He called out. Was someone supposed to be here to greet him? Was this a trick? He wondered suddenly. In an instant he disappeared from sight, his body tensing. The outline of his body trembled, changing rapidly as he stalked to a corner beside the door. He'd wait, watch and see. If someone friendly-looking showed up he'd drop his guard, but if this was a trap he would be gone in a second. Forget seeming polite, his skin was pretty important to him.

He held his breath, listening hard. He could hear sounds from far off, but that was it. How could he be so stupid? People didn't just do nice things for guys like him. Nobody liked supernatural creatures. But anyway, about whatever that sound was, far off. Did it hear him? Had he given away his presence? Hopefully not. Jae knelt down slowly, tensed, his eyes flicking all around, just waiting for something to happen.

Farah was over five hundred years old, and yet she was currently as excited as a teenage school girl. Throughout her long existence she had come across other supernatural beings, but this was the first time she would be meeting so many in such a small time period and all in one place. She wondered who they would be, what they would be and what they could do. She had heard of Glitch before, the fae-vampire who was even older than herself, but she had never met her. Her eyes focused on the forest beneath her, searching for a sign of the house that the invitation had spoken of. "I hope I like them." Farah thought to herself as she navigated around a troublesome area of turbulent wind, "I hope they like me." She added to herself, concern suddenly making her worry. She could count the number of true friends she had had in her life on two hands, a rather small number given that she had had almost six centuries of life. However, when you spend half that time locked away in a lamp and the other half at the beck and call of your most recent master... well, of course she didn't have all that much time to go out and socialise.

Down below a break in the trees caught Farah's eyes. She stopped her flight, hovering just below the clouds as she inspected the building below. It was a large house, complete with stunning gardens and a pool. The actual house itself was large and Farah hoped furnished comfortably. This had to be it, it was the only building in sight. Stifling a half excited, half nervous giggle, Farah began to descend. Rather than take a gentle spiral down to earth, Farah decided on a fast plummet. Within seconds she had reached the ground, only slowing up her descend at the last moment to touch down lightly on what she supposed was the front lawn.

Farah paused, not quite ready to enter yet. First she smoothed down her hair and clothes, since flying at high speeds has never been a good styling technique. Her hands gently touched the elegant, golden lamp tied to her waist, checking that it was still there. The lamp was her home and suitcase, it contained everything she had collected in her long life. Although she hated it and considered it as more of a prison, she had to admit that it was handy having something so small to carry so much stuff around in. Even so, she didn't want anyone to see it, so she pulled her jacket over top and then, taking a deep breath, she walked up to the front door.

Surprisingly it was already open, although Farah couldn't see anyone around. "Hello? Is anyone here?" She called through the door and into the entrance room. She slid the invitation out of her pocket and waved it into the empty space, "I got your invitation..." She continued as she stepped over the threshold. Her eyes scanned the room. No one was there and, apart from an odd shimmering in the corner, everything seemed normal. She frowned slightly and bit her lip, had this all been some sort of trick? Or was everyone hiding in another room waiting to pop out and surprise her? Perhaps she had got the wrong house, maybe there was another lonely mansion hidden in a a neighbouring woods?

Adam Boswell

Adam looked down at the paper in his hand apprehensively. A mansion in the middle of a forest. What were the odds of that happening? And another thing, how in the world did this letter reach him? Adam was reasonably certain that at the last place he had been staying, no one had any idea he was a part Demon. He'd only lived there for a few months, for crying out loud! The only thing that brought Adam a small sense of comfort was the signature: Glitch. He'd heard of her, that was for sure. A fae-vampire mix who'd been around for probably forever, she was most likely trustworthy. But at the same time, it wouldn't be that hard to simply sign her name at the bottom of a letter.

But what if it was real? An actual home, a place where he didn't have to constantly worry about someone seeing his ears or making him angry or finding out his secret. And even if they did make him angry, at least they'd sort of know what to do. It would feel pretty good again to relax. He might even be able to make a friend or two. The letter hadn't exactly specified how many people had been invited, but it was more than him. Hopefully there would be at least one garden. Then again, all of this would only work if the invitation was genuine. For all he knew, an angry mob could be hiding in the forest waiting to stab him with pitchforks and burn him to death. That would be unpleasant.

And this was getting him nowhere. If he kept going back and forth like this, he'd still be on the edge of the road by the time night fell. Adam took a deep breath, stuffed the paper into his backpack, and walked past the first line of trees. So far, so good. He peered around carefully, trying to convince himself that everything was going to be fine. His heart was starting to beat faster and faster, an unpleasant feeling that he actively tried to avoid. Usually when his heart rate was up it was easier to provoke him into an attack. As Adam continued walking through the forest, his sense of uneasiness faded somewhat. If they'd been planning on killing him, they probably wouldn't have taken any chances and knocked him out right away. That was what he was telling himself, at least.

Adam could see the line of trees ending up ahead. He slowed down and looked out from behind one of the last ones. The sight of the mansion-it really was a mansion- took his breath away. This place was huge! And it looked like there were several gardens, which was a relief. Adam was about to step out when a girl suddenly descended from the sky and landed right in front of the house. He flinched and studied her closely for a few minutes. She didn't seem suspicious, far from it in fact. She could fly, so she must have also been invited to stay here. "Hello? Is anyone here? I got your invitation..." That settled it for Adam. He nervously smoothed his hair over his ears, an old habit, and began to walk towards the house. Before he got too close, however, he coughed to alert the girl of his presence. It wouldn't do any good to get himself killed or injured by startling a person with powers.

Raven

Looking down at the letter once again as she walked, Raven had a few thoughts shrilling through her mind. It striked her as odd at first. It's not every day you get some invitation from someone you've never heard of asking you to come to a home where you can, quote-unquote, "be with others like you"; and that doesn't even mean other tesso's, but other people who just so happen to have supernatural powers.

Then it dawned, she's never gotten a real letter before from anyone, really. Always living in a cheap, dirty motel, the only spam mail she even got was via email. So, how could someone, even an other supernatural, find her yet alone multiple people? She, deciding it wouldn't be such a big deal, and if everything ends up going to hell, she packed a multiple pocket backpack and headed off from a dinky little motel off the side of a lonely, abandoned road, and headed off, paying her way we a few dollars.

Now being in the woods close that this place is suppose to be at, her keen sense of direction that she's pretty sure is from her "animal" side, she kept straight. Being in the forests once again, it was like coming home after a very long time. She had spent a few years living in the woods. Of course, around that time, she wasn't really a person, per say, but a rat. Either way, the forest was like a second home, though she doesn't really like the lack of comfort. And the weather is so sketchy.

Eventually in the midst of her thoughts, she came upon a large house, or mansion rather. Pausing mid-step, she couldn't help but marvel at the scene. Though she liked the sci-fi genre greater than fantasy, she couldn't help but compare the scene of the large building to the marvelous scene in a fantasy movie where something great could happen. Or, perhaps a horror movie like the cabin in the woods but with a large mansion full of people with extraordinary gifts. "Might as well start this before you change your mind." She told herself before she noticed some guy ahead of her. An eyebrow raised and a smirk appeared. It would be just her luck to meet some guy first. At least if it was a girl, she'd have some idea of how they might act. Guys were just...unpredictable and strong, where girls are just unpredictable and emotional.

Walking up behind him, she made a coughing sound to alert him. "Hey, you know how many more are in there?" She says loud enough to hear but not yelling. Then she thought she might as well show that she has the invitation, just in case it's going to be one of those types of things. "And what about these?" She held the letter up in the air slightly with a questionable look.

Holding the cherry Popsicle to her lips, Vika glanced down at the letter in her hand. She stood at the edge of the forest with her katana case slung over her right shoulder along with her red canvas backpack slung over the left and another one, a purple one this time held in the same hand she held the letter in. The hound had one backpack filled with clothes and the other with her sketchbooks, comic's, and tech stuff. She was never the person go slug around with a whole lot of things but if she just couldn't part with her little nerdy things she loved oh so much. Vika bit a small chunk off her popsicle her feet starting to move as a few scents wafted past her nose but she never looked up from the letter as she read over it, only a mumble escaping her lips. " Welp, I'm not the first one here it seems."

When Vika got the letter she thought about the possibility of it being just a prank for a while but then she really started to think about it and maybe it wasn't? All in All Vika was curious and wanted to go check it out anyway not thinking of much beyond that but when she got to the forest that's when her mind pondered the question. Who sent the letter and why her? As the raven haired hound made her way over branches and leaves she stuffed the letter in her pocket continuing to suck on her popsicle that she seemed to enjoy a lot.

After a good long walk her icy orbs fell on a huge house that stood in a somewhat clearing of the forest with thick lush green all around it. " Whoa fancy huh?" She waved the popsicle lazily in her hand before pointing at the building with it. " Onward then!" she commanded as she came closer to the mansion. Once in the front she noticed two other people a dude and a chick. Vika walked up to them unable to hold back a small yawn before pressing what was left of the rapidly disappearing popsicle to her lips that were now tinted the same color as the popsicle. " You guys got the letter too?"

The letter had arrived three nights ago, on the doorstep to the derelict warehouse Rain was currently staying in, and he ran his fingers over the shiny, gold lettering on the expensive paper. Michael Haart was blazoned across the top of the letter, and even just reading his real name made his lip curl with distaste. The contents of the letter hadn't interested him at first, hence why it had taken him three days to return to it. What did interest him though, and the reason he had returned to it at all, was that it was his real name scrawled across in the mocking gold writing, and as far as he was aware, no one knew that he was called anything other than Rain. The other question, of course, was how they'd found him. Rain could feel himself growing frustrated as he considered whether to go to this miracle holiday home. On the one hand, he knew it may well simply be some sort of trapped for people to catch him and test him - but then again, if they knew where he was living, he'd be with them already. On the other hand though...this invitation could be genuine, and Rain was never one to turn down anything if it was free.

Sighing, and growling, he crumpled the offending slip of paper and through it across the warehouse. It landed with barely a sound on the dusty ground. Frustrated and uncertain, Rain went to the corner where he had erected a sheet for him to live under. The space was tiny, but it had his blankets and his microwave (stolen, obviously) and it was almost always warm. He ate his last microwave meal, not bothering to cook it properly before he wolfed it down. Frustrated, he then curled up on his blankets and fell asleep.

Rain awoke several hours later, to a familiar, yet infuriating sound. He could hear the tapping of rain on the roof of the decaying warehouse, and he could feel the lower thud of rain striking his little shelter. "Fucks sake!" he cursed, reaching to grab the torch that he kept beside his makeshift bed. He shone it upwards, at the tarpaulin that was his only barrier between warmth and the rain, and a suspicious looking dark patch had gathered in the middle, which bowed dangerously low. Running a hand through his hair, Rain shrugged on a hoody and then a jacket, pulling the hoods of both up. He pushed his feet back into his worn boots, and took an old rucksack, which he then stuffed with clean clothes. There wasn't much to pack, really. He kept nothing personal. After packing enough clothing to last him a couple days, he rolled free of his little shelter and trudged grumpily over to the invitation. It was soaked with the rain, and he scowled as he scanned the fading letters one last time. He memorized the address printed on the bottom, and then dropped the paper again. He paused, shifting from foot to foot as he anxiously attempted to make a decision, and then exhaled slowly.

"Fuck it"

Turning on his heel at the behest of the familiar uncomfortable scratching of his back, Rain climbed the stairs that led up onto the roof of the wretched building he had just moments ago called home. Once he was outside properly, the cold struck him like a knife, and his namesake quickly began to soak him. Rain sighed, closing his eyes and forced himself to calm, even just a little. It took a moment, but soon he felt wings unfurling at his shoulders, and the welcome release that accompanied the sensation. He glanced back at them, and couldn't help but smile very slightly in anticipation of flight. The wings appeared solid, though were ethereal. The black glossy feathers seemed to resist the rain and shifted as though unaffected by the wind too. Of course, they didn't rip his clothes as they simply didn't attach directly to his back. Instead, they were simply bound to him, much like his shadow. He gave them an experimental flap, and then made his final decision. There was no turning back now. Rain raced towards the edge of the building, his feet hitting the puddled ground hard as he pushed himself forwards, and then dived off the roof of the warehouse.

Rain inhaled sharply as his wings opened, catching the air and bearing him into the sky as he rose from the dive. His blood pounded through his veins, adrenaline and exhilaration running through him like blood. He clutched his bag to his chest tightly as he altered his course, his wings dipping and shifting to accommodate the change of direction. Rain flew through the night, tiring slowly as he did, and then flew towards the rising sun for the beginning of the next morning. He began to wonder if this place really existed, and just as he was about to give up hope, a break in the blanket of green trees below him proved to be the building he was looking for.

The angel-like creature circled the area three times, searching for somewhere to land that wasn't too far from the building. He was tired, unused to flying such distances is such a short time, and his arms ached slightly from holding his bag so tightly, and catching it that one time he had dropped it. In short, Rain was feeling wet, cold, tired and sore, and certainly not in the mood to walk any distance to this so called haven. He'd seen the people below him, and couldn't recognize if they were 'like him' or simply humans, but right then, he didn't care. After circling the third time, Rain simply gave up. He alighted on the roof of the building itself, and walked down the stairs from there.

He found himself in a long hall, with doors every few feet or so. Moving to the first one, he listened, and hearing silence, eased it open. Inside was a bedroom, and Rain's relief was only second to his comic disbelief. A real bedroom. After spending six months in a dingy warehouse, a room with four distinct walls and windows and a solid roof was a luxury in itself. Rain stepped in slowly, looking around as his wings faded into his back once again. The bed (a real bed!) was made up, and the room itself seemed empty in it's neutrality, and he made the assumption that it wasn't occupied. There was another door set into one of the walls, which he opened, and his eyes opened in unbridled gratitude. A bathroom, with a bath and a shower and a toilet. Rain grinned and dropped his sopping bag next to his bed, and then pulled out his dryer clothes. He threw them onto the bed and then gleefully went into the bathroom, and indulged in a long, hot bath.

Rain was beginning to like it here. Warmed by the hot water, relaxed and at ease, he stepped out a half hour later, and put a towel around his waist before pulling on a pair of jeans. Walking bare foot and bare chested, Rain went back to the bed and began to sort through his clothes, his mind turning to who else might be here. He kept the door to his bedroom open, looking up at it often to look for other people.

SAMANTHA.

Sam looked up and held on to her invitation as if it was her most precious treasure. A bright smile was fixated on her rosy lips, her eyes sparkled. There she stood, before the tall leafy trees, overwhelmed by the feeling that this was the first moment of the rest of her life. This should be it, and she could not remember a single time in all the last 90 years when she had been happier or more excited. Just across those trees, minutes away from her, there was a place where she would meet not only lots of people, but people who were just like her. People who had powers and stories similar to hers, who might even become her friends, who knows. She couldn’t help but get a little scared, of course, but she knew all too well she shouldn’t be afraid of the unknown. Adjusting her backpack on her shoulder, the viper inhaled deeply and stepped over the fallen leaves on the humid ground.

For the tenth time that day, she went through her mental list of belongings. It wasn’t long, but it contained some of her favorite things in the world, and that’s all she’d ever needed. She wondered if Glitch would like her present. She had no awareness of who that person could possibly be, if they were male or female and what would they like to be presented with, so she had purchased a small, simple unisex stone pendant which was attached to a black leather cord and nestled carefully in Sam’s pocket. It wasn’t much, but she had been taught that she should always show her appreciation for a hosts hospitality with a gift – even though now she felt a bit silly. Sam was very keen of social conventions, but it took her some time to how to apply them, and she wasn’t sure her gift rule was applicable to being invited by a stranger to spend undetermined amounts of time in an isolated mansion with a group of supernatural creatures.

The walk was a few minutes long, and the path walled by trees disappeared as abruptly as it had appeared beside the road. In it’s place, a house materialized before Samantha’s eyes. No, not a house, a castle, a real fairytale castle with gardens, wide windows and huge doors. There was even a big, clear pool on the outside! The smile that still hadn’t left the girl’s face widened and her face became a bit flushed by the enthusiasm. While her eyes ran over the extensive area, they tripped in a group of people a few meters away from her but, even closer, there was another woman walking just beside the line which divided the yard and the forest. β€œExcuse me!” she called out. Took her sometime before she noticed that the woman she was attempting to talk to… Was incredibly beautiful. Probably one of the most good-looking people she had ever seen. She had a bright golden hair and light eyes that glistened in the sun light. β€œAre you Glitch?”

"Jesus the sun is bright as shit today!" He screeched. Al was walking up to an unbelievably tall wooden area, finally he would become shielded from the overly harsh sun. Formally known as Xavier, the blond haired kid walked through the forest. Trecking through Al decided to come to a stop, his endurance was being tested, he'd been walking since the last time he'd seen a road.

Al dropped his duffle bag and pulled out his notpad. He had came to a rather pretty place where the sun shined through the various trees around him, he wasn't much a fan of naturalism, but to deny it's natural beauty would be childish, he only made these notes for songs. He loved creating various similes, metaphors and outight comparisons with everything, often using the outside world to coincide with the feelings he wrote his music on.

Deciding it was about time he reached the mansion, Al put his things away quickly and moved on. He dreaded being in a house with so many other people, the invitation he had gotten made it clear he was going to be surrounded by other supernatual beings, if you want to call them that. Whoever Glitch was seemed to know what buttons to press with Al, she even addressed him by his real name in the invite. He or she, was deeply invested in this.

Meeting new people wasn't a thing Al was bad at, it just wasn't a strong suit. But there's nothing wrong with a change of scenery, it already looks better than his homeland of Algeria, hopefully he'll like it just as much. The trees seemed to get bigger and thicker and the path less obvious, he stopped and turned. He took a complete 360, maybe he had taken a wrong turn, gotten off on the wrong road. "Fuck It". Al put his arms between the branches and leaves and came through on the other side.

Al came through on the other side to be surprised by a gigantic white wood cabin, he searched around the house a bit, seeng a surprisingly clean bright blue pool. Al yelled in his loudest possible voice "Anybody here!?" Al walked near the front door, still awing at the house, such a large mansion in the middle of nowhere, if it wasn't so cleanit would look abandoned with it's lack of people of course. Al made sure to look without touching, he didn't want to make a bad first impression. He sat down on the edge of the house steps, waiting for someone respond to his call from earlier.

Cheyanne knew there were others in the house. Their voices echoed in the hall and she could hear some of the others. In fact one of them was in a room. A door was ajar and she wanted to go in to see who had joined her in this hallway. As she quietly made her way toward the room a voice called to her. β€œExcuse me!” Her feet stopped moving and she turned around. It was a woman who had called to her. She was quite pretty and around the same height as the phoenix. The firebird walked away from the room and toward the woman that had called out to her. β€œAre you Glitch?”. The blonde giggled a bit and then shook her head. A smile formed on her face. "Sadly no. But I would like to meet the host myself" she said. As Cheyanne was talking, she was examining the girl in front of her. Trying to figure out who she was, just by the way she stood. It failed, but it was worth a shot.

"Anybody here!?" The young woman turned her head toward the voice. More people. Her excitement level was high, you could see it in her eyes. She turned back to the red head. "I'm going to go see who else is here" she informed her. The firebird turned on her heels and started walking down the hall. She passed the room with the door that was slightly opened. Cheyanne would return to this room later. She didn't bother checking to see if the red head was following behind her, she just assumed she would. If not then it isn't her problem. Holding the railing, she made her way back down the steps toward the front door. So many people had arrived within moments of her own arrival. A flame burned in her eyes and a brighter smile formed on her face. She stood at the bottom step and looked at everyone. Although she wasn't Glitch, she was the first one here.

"Hi!" she said to everyone within ear shot. Quickly she decided to skip introducing herself to them. She didn't know them so her identity will remain a mystery. "I'm not Glitch, but as the first person here I thought I should let you know there are rooms up these steps." the fire bird said pointing up. "I just wanted to give a warm welcome. As a phoenix, I'm pretty skilled at that" she finished. The smile never dropped from her face and the flame still burned in her eyes. This new life she entered was going to be rather interesting.

Glitch knew, somewhere in her mind, that the majority of her invited guests would be arriving at her home at any moment, if they weren't already there when she finally reached the building. She appreciated punctuality above most else when it came to guests, and must've seemed a bit hypocritical at that point because she'd clearly stated that she wanted them at the house by 10am, and no later. She moved with an unspeakable swiftness, her feet light against the ground as she travelled through the forest, nimbly avoiding trees and streams on her way to the house. Behind her came the sound of paws thudding against the soft mud of the forest floor, a sound that she'd gotten used to over the passing months that Alexander had been in her care. He hadn't liked to be alone when Glitch went on one of her little scouting trips, so he'd often accompany her. Glitch had turned only her head, giving her a better view of the stunning black creature beside her. It was then that she realised how fast she was travelling, due to the fatigue in his eyes and the slight blur that his body carried as he went. A smile lined her lips.

Approaching the back entrance of the house, Glitch slowed herself to a halt and eyed the building, her head cocking to the side in an Avian-like manner. "I hear voices.. They must be here," she mumbled, her voice almost disappearing as she spoke. A pout had caused her bottom lip to push itself outwards until it was ahead of the other, and a frown lowered her eyebrows slowly. A sense of doubt filled Glitch's mind, causing her to think that they'd think less of her hosting abilities because she had arrived later than them; it wasn't entirely her fault though, she had gotten caught up in certain things. The feeling of a wet nose and masses of fur had brought her back to the present, and she found that Alex had nuzzled her arm lightly. Her expression changed almost instantly, from a sad frown to a smile as she let out a small giggle and shoved the male's head lightly. His eyes watched her for a moment, before she set off towards the door, opened it and stepped inside her home, carrying the lingering smile as she looked at each and every one of them.

In all honesty, there were less people inside than Glitch had thought there'd be, but she could sense others were around; outside or upstairs, but they were all there somewhere. "Apologies," she said as she walked further into the living room and across into the kitchen, which were joined as one, and set the plastic shopping bag on the counter beside the fridge, "somebody drank the last of the milk this morning, and forgot to tell me we needed more." To anyone that didn't know Glitch very well, it looked as if her mood had changed in a matter of seconds, her expression now a threatening glare as she turned to the brute sat on the far side of the room; he lowered his head with a whimper, but said nothing else. She chuckled as she finally let a smirk creep its way onto her lips once more, before she turned to the people in her house. "If you hadn't already guessed it, I'm Glitch. The Wolf, over there, is Alex. Welcome!" she exclaimed, somewhat enthusiastically. She placed both hands on the counter behind her, and jumped up to take a seat, her legs crossing. "Did you all find a room to stay in, or..?"

Alexander sat away from the group that had gathered in Glitch's living room, his bright amber eyes watching their every movement. Due to his wariness and distrust of other people, he kept up his transformation (despite his fatigue) and would continue to do so until he trusted them enough. He always thought Glitch was tiny, but looking at the other people in the house - especially the men - had made him realise just how large he was. Even when sat down, he towered over all of them. Each of his paws were around the same size as an average human's head. If it weren't for the unusually high ceiling, he probably wouldn't be able to sit inside whilst in his wolf form, at least not without having to dip his head. And yet, regardless of his brutish capabilities and size, he would never imagine himself to be capable of going against Glitch. There was something about her that sent a shiver down his spine, but he loved her like a sister and wouldn't leave her side until one of them were dead.

He hadn't really been paying much attention to the conversation before he noticed that Glitch had mentioned the milk issue, and he lowered his head as a harsh feeling of guilt washed over him. It was only milk, but Glitch had a way of making him feel like he'd just killed her entire family. God only knows how she did it. Perhaps it was just his canine instincts, to be loyal to a human; it made him feel like the smallest thing he'd do wrong would be the end of their friendship, and he was extremely loyal to Glitch - no matter what. Unknowingly, a whimper had escaped his throat, his ears now pinned backwards as his head hung low. He hadn't seen her change of expression, and so he simply stood himself up, shook his pelt free of dirt and pretty much covered the living area in small pebbles and piecing of soil, before making his way outside to one of the gardens. It looked more like a field than anything. Alex loved to run around in it.

Now that he was a reasonable distance from any sort of supernatural creature (and Glitch would probably warn them if they tried to approach him), he let his wolf form drop. The Wolf's pelt was clearing of all fur as its body started to shrink in size and shift its shape from that of a wolf to a human. Unlike the many myths and legends regarding Werewolves, Alexander would return to his human form fully-clothed, though those clothes would be tattered and worn-out. Now back to normal, he ran his hand through his scruffy hair, before taking a seat on the grass beneath him. He let a small sigh break through his lips, but made no sounds other than that.

Jae Daniels

Jae stood, barely moving, barely making a sound past the flux of his breath. He was slightly crouched, alert for sounds, other presences. Not too much later, a female voice sounded outside, then crossed the threshold into the room. It was a dark haired girl with toned skin. The young woman's eyes swept across him as if he wasn't even there. Which technically he wasn't. His features wrapped into a momentary grin at his ability to get by with things like this. Then he heard another presence outside the house, and then another loud voice. How many people were showing up here? Then another voice. That made three females and one unidentifiable presences. And then it was too much for him to track at one time. He remained quiet, waiting for a time when he could gracefully exit without being noticed. There was a stairwell across the room, maybe he could disappear up there?

The male began slinking against the wall, still invisible, the outline of his body shivering slightly, making it look like faint traces of glittering dust were floating lazily across the room in a concentrated pack. A blonde girl appeared in the stairwell when he was a few feet from it. She was blonde, and she almost seemed to glow. Not a real glow, but a sunshine type deal. Jae paused. he wouldn't be able to slide around her. Was she the leader here? Was she the 'Glitch' the paper mentioned.

The blonde began to speak, negating Jae's wonderings. No, no she wasn't. She was a phoenix though. And there were rooms upstairs. And they were supposed to be here. It wasn't a trap. Jae relaxed a little bit at that, but he didn't want to just blink back into appearance here. Even if these people were all supernaturals, he'd had problems with just appearing places before and didn't want to take any chances.

And then the air in the room shifted. A pretty young Korean woman entered the room, holding an air of authority about her. And in the huge animal that trailed her in. She began to speak in a familiar voice, barbed towards the large...animal? across the room. Then she offered her welcome, introducing herself and the beast, a werewolf, he finally connected. Then she sat on the table, asking about rooms. Ah, that was what he was about to do. He took that as an opportunity to dart past the blonde in the stairwell and take the stairs two at a time, flickering back into existence as he went, an aura of purple around him.

He pushed into the first room he found. There were two beds in the room, and one of them had things lying on it. Nope, not that one. He backed out. That meant they had roommates? The hinkypunk swallowed. Well, at least he wouldn't spend much time in the room at night. And he could find his sleep elsewhere. He just hoped the other would be tolerable and tolerate his nighttime oddities. But he needed to find an unoccupied room so whoever got stuck with him wouldn't blame the choice on him.

A small, wry smile flashed white on his face for a second, then he poked his head into another room. There was an older looking male on the bed. Jae's face showed no reaction but his heart spiked with instinctive fear. He hated surprises in the earlier hours. Yes, ten was much too early for him. The spike of fear turned his glow red before he completely vanished without a word, darting away to another room. Ah, this one was empty. He vaulted over the first bed, choosing instead to occupy the second. Only when he'd settled down did his camouflage drop.

The small male flopped back on the bed, closing his eyes and stretching. He could get used to a bed like this. Now wasn't the time to sleep, but it sure as hell wouldn't stop him from trying.

The sound of tires racing on the asphalt sent chills down his spine. There was no turning back now. Eli turned his head to glance wistfully at the spot his boss's car had been just a seconds ago and frowned slightly. John was apparently eager to get rid of him and never asked any questions about the strange location, only just helped Elias removing his luggage from the trunk of the car and hit the road. Now, staring at the long patch he had already hiked into the woods, the young, tall man trembled slightly, his hair a terrible mess, his hands, sweaty and slippery. He had been walking for several minutes now, carrying two heavy bags, his feet sore inside the shoes that were most certainly not made for walking long distances, and, deep inside, he felt like he had made the wrong decision. As always.
Of course he would be safer from things like storms and lightning, and certainly any bed they could manage would be more comfortable than crashing on the old, dusty mattress behind the cafe, but was it really worth it? This place, this house... He felt ambushed. A strange location, in the middle of the woods, prowling with with powerful beings, people who could actually be dangerous and capable of hurting him. And then of course there was a more basic, human fear of him; even if they were all harmless, he knew no one. He didn't want to feel lonely again. Sitting down, Elias felt overwhelmed by all of this. It was frustrating for him not having any control of the events yet to come. And what if he was the one to harm someone? After all, hurting people was the only thing his abilities seemed to be good for.
He heard a voice not so far from his position and a soft breeze caressed his exposed neck. He couldn't really figure out what the voice said, but it meant he should be a lot closer to his destination, whatever that was. Forcing himself to stand up, Volt continued walking. Complaining would do him no good, he decided, his only option now was to move on and, if he was doing so, do it properly. Practicing a friendly smile, he emerged into a wider area.
There it was. This had to be it. Surrounded by trees and a few people, there was an enormous white cabin. The smile on his face became a little more natural once his light, weary eyes lingered over the pool and gardens. Nevertheless, it quickly faded when he spotted a large silhouette, a black giant creature walking out the front door. Is this what he would be facing? Is that what the invitation meant by "others like you"?
After a few moments, after Eli could finally wipe the expression of shock out of his face, he gulped and approached the house. Not knowing what to expect, he cracked the door slowly and peeked inside to find a small group of people standing in the room. They didn't seem dangerous, so he let himself in and placed his bags on the floor. Apparently he had interrupted something. Only then did he notice his clocked showed fifteen minutes after ten. He was late. "I'm really sorry. I received this..." he said lowly, his voice fading. He blushed severely while waving the letter in the air.

Adam Boswell

Adam was so focused on the girl in front of him that he didn't even realize someone was behind him until they coughed as well. He jumped slightly and turned around quickly. How could he have been so stupid? Anyone could have tricked him into coming here, snuck behind him, and knocked him out like that. He was going to have to be a lot more careful. But before Adam could jump to any conclusions about the person in front of him, who was also a girl, she spoke for herself. "Hey, you know how many more are in there? And what about these?" She held up an invitation, and Adam could tell it had most of the same writing on it as his had. He relaxed a little bit and shook his head. "Sorry, I have no idea."

When another girl stepped out of the forest from behind the newcomer, Adam was a little more prepared. But at the sight of three girls and no other guys, he began to worry inside. Had he gone to the wrong mansion? Was it like that one movie he watched with his mom one time where a boy was accidently sent to a girl's summer camp? That would suck big time. "You guys got the letter too?" Adam nodded and pulled his letter out of his backpack for proof. He scanned it quickly, but it made no mention of a girls-only or boys-only section. So maybe he was just the first guy to arrive or something? That idea gave Adam a small sense of comfort.

He studied the two girls in front of him, but nothing about them gave away what they were. Strangely enough, they actually looked slightly similar. But since they hadn't arrived together and didn't show any signs of recognition, it must just be a strange coincidence. Adam still wasn't completely comfortable being surrounded by three girls that he didn't know and was debating about taking off when he heard what was definitely a guy call out, "Anybody here!?" He gave a sigh of relief. Thank goodness. At least he wouldn't be completely alone in this. Adam looked at the three girls he was with, wracking his brain for something to say. Luckily, he was spared an awkward silence when yet another girl made an appearance. "I'm not Glitch, but as the first person here I thought I should let you know there are rooms up these steps." Actual bedrooms? This place was sounding better and better. His old place hadn't been a dump, but it was no mansion either.

Finally, Glitch appeared, along with a very large wolf. Adam could guess just by looking that it was probably a werewolf, and although Alex could be masculine or feminine, he was going to hope it was a male. Glitch welcomed everyone even while scolding the werewolf next to her. "Did you all find a room to stay in, or..?" Adam shook his head, but didn't say anything. Surely someone else would have the courage to speak up. It would probably be one of the two girls he just met. "I'm really sorry. I received this..." Adam looked towards the door and smiled inwardly. Another male. This didn't seem so bad now. Maybe most of the guys were just running late.

SAMANTHA.
Once the blonde turned to walk down the hallway, Sam looked around searching for anyone else that may have arrived, but not spotting other people, she just rushed to follow the other girl. Is not exactly like she could go around asking people if they were Glitch. As they passed the room that had it's door half open, Sam peeked inside. Apparently, a lot of people had already arrived, which she did not expect. In her experience, people didn't often arrive at events at the time pointed in the invitation, but then again, this was not an everyday situation. That made her a little nervous; from the looks of that girl, and of the man that she had spotted inside the room, those people were confident and comfortable with this situation and had already made themselves comfortable, but she was just really a bit confused.

As they finally reached the front door, Sam stood a few steps before the phoenix as she introduced herself. Seeing all those people made her heart race and a broad smile wrinkled her nose. Maybe she was lost and confused but all those different faces gave her a reassuring certainty that, however this would work, it would be fun. Just as these thoughts entered her mind, someone else walked into the door and, after her, a enormous wolf. Sam's smile slowly faded from her mouth and turned into an expression of awe. Fascinating. They both were outstanding creatures. Although she should feel threatened by "Alex", as Glitch had introduced him, being a wolf and therefor a predator to her own original species, she actually felt rather compelled to him, but decided it wouldn't be a good idea to follow once he had left. Glitch, on the other hand, was glowing with confidence and power. She was just as charming and pretty as the phoenix, and her presence alone seemed to change the whole atmosphere.

As they all stood there, two more men arrived at the living room and everyone seemed to be waiting for someone to reply to Glitch's question, so Sam climbed down the last steps and approached her. "Hum, miss Glitch? Is there any room division we should know of?" she asked shyly. "I'm Samantha Porter, by the way, you can call me Sam. I received your invitation and, hum... Brought you something to thank you for it. Hope that's ok. I didn't know there would be a second host, if that's what Alex is, so I didn't get him anything. You don't have to wear it if you don't like it, I just thought..." she mentally shushed herself, deciding she had already said too much. It was common for her to ramble at times. Rapidly shoving her hand on the front pocket of her dark, loose jeans, she removed the necklace from it and offered it to Glitch, nervously observing her reaction.

Re: Eroryus

Darn. This was really cool too :(

Re: Eroryus

Yup, seems like they gave up on us :/
Too bad, I was really digging it.

Re: Eroryus

I'm still here, but I posted right before you... So my character can't really do anything.

Re: Eroryus

Will anyone be posting ever? Haha

Re: Eroryus

Will anyone be posting this weekend?

Re: Eroryus

First of all, I honestly don't care what you had planned for your bird character. I thought I'd made the point that people with invitations are the only ones able to find the house, since it is off limits and out of the reach of anyone or anything else. You explained it, yes, but that doesn't mean I instantly think 'ah, I should have this character in my roleplay!'

I get that you're insulted by my comments, and I am quite openly admitting in front of everyone that I was wrong for being so harsh. I'm sure you're very intelligent.. I don't know you, but whatever.

And you can make out like I'm the bad guy here all you want, but the fact of the matter is that your characters weren't good enough to make it into the roleplay. It sounds harsh and I'm fully aware of that, but it's the truth. Accept it, deal with it and move on. You need to learn not to take things so personally. So, your character didn't get accepted this time, there's hundreds more roleplays on this website that are bound to accept you.

Everything aside, I wish you the best, but I'm putting an end to this argument. Please don't post again in this OOC forum; if you wish to press this issue further, contact me through PM.

Re: Eroryus

1.i am sorry for the fact that i screwed up the first two characters
2. the bird was supposed to be anegg that would hatch on the island when it would be found, i explained this
3. i only asked a second time because i did not get an answer about the actual person who i was going to add more detail to, since you thought my first human like character had no detail to his form.
4. i find it very rude when you say that you overestimated my intelligence i find that as an insult
5. i did not not there was a final amount of characters i have been busy recently and have not been able to get on the website much except once or twice a day for very short minimal amounts of time

these are the reasons why i am frustrated and angered with you right now Scavenger, i have never felt more insulted, and i have never been more frustrated with someone on this website, all i asked for was a simple yes or no not a damn rant about what i have tried to do to get into this roleplay, it angers me that you even say the rant was inevitable. It pains me to say that i have ever felt alienated on this website before (and i was hoping not to ever be at all) until now.

Re: Eroryus

@th3graved1gger -

Ugh, I really hate having to do this, but you've managed to annoy me on one of my bad days, so the rant that follows really was inevitable. My apologies in advance, I may seem quite rude...

No, you cannot submit another character, human or... bird. I've tried to hint this to you a few times without stating it directly, because I hate rejecting people, hoping that you'd understand and just move on. Apparently, I overestimated your intelligence. My problem with your human is that you didn't include any pictures, like I had asked in the introduction page, and the detail was extremely lacking. I denied him for those two reasons alone.

The bird... Well, do I really need to explain? I highly doubt Glitch would have sent a letter to a bird, asking that he/she stay in her home... The only picture you added was of some sort of seagull, or what I thought was a seagull at least. It wasn't suitable even for a basic roleplay, I'm afraid.

I also clearly stated in the OOC section that the final number of characters was 14 and that I would definitely not be accepting any other characters. If that wasn't clear enough, then I honestly don't know what to do.

In summation, no. Don't submit a character. I'm sorry that you didn't make the cut the first time, but even if you make the most amazing character in the entire world and just reading the contents of your CS makes my eyes explode from the awesomeness, I wouldn't accept you because 14 is the FINAL number of characters.

Re: Eroryus

just gonna quote myself again so this question might be answered

th3graved1gger wrote:would it be alright if i made another character for this roleplay possibly i have pictures for him at least, since my other characters were rejected

Re: Eroryus

Hokep. Thank you :)

Re: Eroryus

That'll be decided IC, I reckon, though people are free to arrange things here if it's easier. I'm not too fussy, so I don't feel the need to make everyone else's decision for them. If worse comes to worst, grab the person your character gets along with best and run to the nearest room.

Re: Eroryus

Sounds hella sweet.

Another question. How are we going to decide who rooms with whom? Will that be decided IC, OOC, or by you?

Re: Eroryus

Hey, guys.

I'm so sorry that I haven't been active over the past few days; I wasn't expecting to be offline for such a long time, but a number of things have thrown themselves at me recently and I was simply just trying to make my way through everything before I allowed myself time to get online.

If nothing else distracts me from the website, I should be able to post tonight.

To answer everyone's questions, there is no posting order. I don't really mind if people post a lot, just don't go overboard because not everyone wants to come online and respond to like 50 posts. That's how people lose interest easily.

Thank you for being so patient, and I hope none of you have given up on this. c:

Re: Eroryus

I'm fine with that, I'll have a post up with Farah and a first post for Daphne up tomorrow night hopefully :)

Re: Eroryus

I don't mind, so unless anyone else does, go for it...Has anyone Pm'ed them?

Re: Eroryus

Hey you guys, Scavenger and Alex are taking kind of a long time to post, so would it be okay if I post for Elias?

Re: Eroryus

would it be alright if i made another character for this roleplay possibly i have pictures for him at least, since my other characters were rejected

Re: Eroryus

Hai Hai! I'm with the other's, I also want to know if theirs a posting order^^
Question has been answered! :3

Re: Eroryus

I do not have these answers. Mostly everyone posted so I believe that people can post twice. Unfortunately I won't be posting until sunday or monday. I haven't heard from Scavenger so I know nothing. Message her for serious questions.

Re: Eroryus

I was waiting to see where everyone went before posting for Daphne, and waiting for everyone to post before posting again for Farah.
I'd also like to know if we're going to have an order or not :)
