Introduction
There is room for 6 characters, 3 male, 3 female. All are nearing their 20th birthdays and have been developing odd mental powers over the years and have lived in the smallish town of Fairborn, Ohio their whole lives. (yes its a real place and chosen because of its proximity to several factors I want in the story). The characters each have their own individual power, please apply for which spot you want.
The Test 6 (One female and one male remaining)

Ramona watched as the man took off in his car, leaving her with a sense of dread. What was going on? Slowly, she stuffed the money in her apron pocket and slowly backed away. Her body felt hot, flames licked and flickered in her palm before she clenched them in a tight fist, quleching the fire. Its what happened when she was nervous. And when something just wasnt right. Slowly she turned and hurried back into the diner, rushing pass Marge and Bob straight to the bathroom where she shoved hands under the sink facuet. The cool water running over her palms caused steam to rise and the scars to cease their tingling. At least for now. "Ramona? Are you ok dear?" Marge called through the door even though it was a public bathroom, she could've just walked in but she didnt. Its one of the reasons why she loved Marge.
"Yea, I'm fine!!" She called to her as she dried off her hands and hurried back out to the floor. "Just feeling a bit.. Weird" She added when Marge gave her that look that said she didnt believe her. "Was it that man?" Marge asked curiously as Ramona hurried out to help her waiting customers. She hadnt responded to Marge's question but the look on her face said it all before Marge turned to whisper to her husband. Ramonas brain was too busy buzzing with questions to actually pay attention to anything, her body was on autopilot. When she found herself brining orders to the kitchen, she sighed softly and ran her fingers through her hair. Where were friends when you need them?
Just then, loud sirens ran through the diner as firetrucks went racing passed. "Speaking of friends.." She murmured out loud as she hurried to the front like everyone else had. Off in the distance, you could see the dark smoke that rose into the sky. And that smoke looked awfully close to where Grace lived. "Marge! Bob! I'll be right back!" She called back to them as she hurried back to her locker to grab her keys before pushing her way to the crowd. It seemed only seconds as she made it into the car and revved the engine, the steering wheel under her hands began to melt before she blasted the AC. She had to see if Grace was alright, with that man showing up earlier had put Ramona on edge. Could he have something to do with the fire? Did he know about..? She shook her head and focused on driving. No one in town knows about her. Not even her family or her friends know. No. One. knew.
At least she was hoping no one did.
Neil wasted no time and instinctively acted on his plan, he ran in as soon as the child let go of the ball and it started rolling and punted it with his right foot, the dog immediately turned and began chasing after the ball in the other direction, while the jogger turned trying to flag down his dog. The ball rebounded off a sign, landing directly in the wind-shield forcing the car to a sway left, leaving marks on the road it skidded to a halt. Neil stood there, his mind comprehended the situation fairly quickly, and his eyes went wide, he felt pain flare inside his head however, and moaned rubbing the left side.

Ramona drives quickly and pulls up to see Gracie and her mother standing outside of their burning house. Fire fighters working hard to put out the flames. She could feel the fire as if it were in her blood, it gave her comfort and energy. It all but called out to her, she could snuff it out or make it grow beyond control, all it would take is the effort. She almost felt she could taste the flames, and it was invigorating.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh Gracie! I don't know what happened, I was out back working on the garden and suddenly the house was on fire! I can't believe it, I didn't have the stove or dryer or anything running." her mother said panic and fear in her voice, hugging her daughter. "I already called your father, he is on his way from work now."
"The insurance company has already found us a hotel to put us in, but this fire won't stop burning, we could lose everything."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Knox was heading down the street towards his work place, when he witnessed a near car crash happen right in front of him after a ball went through the air and hit a car windshield. It all happened so fast, but the car swerved and no one was hurt. There standing by the side of the street was someone Knox knew from growing up her, Neil Borack, was standing outside the pharmacy rubbing the left side of his head.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neil's mind ached, if he could compare it to anything, it was like flexing a muscle he had not used in years. It was maddening trying to silence all the observations flooding it, like walking outside to a bright sun after sitting in the movies all day. His brain then pointed out something simple, Knox Dean, another life long inhabitant of this school the same grade as him. His brow was sweaty, his pupils dilated, and he walked quickly, all signs indicating distress.

And it was Ramonas doing.
"Crap!" She cursed as she scrambled to get out of the car, almost falling out as she slammed the door close. She wasted no time running over to Gracie, ignoring the delicious pull that the fire was giving her as she stood next to Gracie and her mother. "Is everyone ok? What happened?" She asked hurriedly, placing a hot hand on Gracie's shoulder as she turned to face the fire. She silently wondered that if she could make it grow, couldn't she make it smaller..?
God she hoped so..
For a moment, Ramona couldn't tell if anyone was talking to her or not. The only thing she could hear was the crackling of the fire in her head as she let herself get lost in the power again, as the flames roared dangerously high. Crap! That's not it! Quickly, she pulled back and was happy to see that the flames had died down with her. Unknowing to her, her hand clutching Gracie's shoulder had tightened and was slowly heating up as she continued to pull at the fire. Slowly the fire continued to calm and the fire fighters wasted no time attacking the dying flames with more water that made Ramona wince, the water was making her sick but she couldn't pull away. Her body rose in temperature and began to quiver, but she stayed upright, fighting to pull away before she passed out in the dirt.
Knox turned around the corner and his workplace came into view. He sped up a little and opened the door, entering the small coffee shop that he somehow enjoyed working at. Knox smiled at the other workers that were on their shifts and he entered the back room to go talk to the manager, prepared to come up with some lie. He had it all planned out in his head: He was going to say that his father is ill and his mother is working so Knox is the only one who could looked after him.
It seemed to make sense in his mind.
Out of the corner of Neil's eye he saw Knox, walking along. Neil didn't particularly look at him, his brain automatically picked out the details; his pupils dilated, sweat formed on his brow, and his pace had significantly quickened all the signs pointed to stress. Neil, quickly shook away, doubling over throwing up on the sidewalk, unable to handle the amounts of information he was taking in. He grabbed his side hauling himself into a alleyway ignoring the situation just wanting a place to rest.
Neil fell between a wall, the back of his head leaning against the cold, cool wall. Neil moaned lowly from what he experienced, the pain had dulled but he was still experiencing it. He reached into his jacket, opening the bottle of painkillers, before pulling out two capsules and placing them under his tongue swallowing them both. Neil's eyes closed, he'd wait for the painkillers to kick in then he'd go home, and book an appointment for the hospital.
Gracie was embracing her flustered mother when she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Mona.., oh Mona! I'm so glad to see someone I know" Ramona and Gracie had always been good friends through out grade and high school. Ramona was doing it again, Gracie could tell how she kind of spaced out when she saw the burning flames that were once Gracie's house. Gracie felt the heat on her arm from Ramona's hand, she reached out and gently took Ramona's wrist "Hey Mona come back okay just let it go", she said trying to bring her back from the fire.
Gracie and Ramona had found out very young that Mona had some kind of connection with fire, an incident that had hurt Mona pretty badly. But that didn't mean Gracie wasn't "different" either. No matter how entranced by the fire Mona got Gracie could always pull her out of it. In fact Gracie often had that sort of affect on people. Someone on the brink of killing themselves of someone else would do whatever Grace asked is she tried hard enough. She first figured this out with her parents as a child and could convince them of anything or get her whatever she wanted, but thats a story for another time. When the fire fighters began to put out the flames, Grace tried to catch Mona before she hurt herself falling to the ground.
"Is she alright?" asked Gracie's mother
"She's fine I think it's just the heat coming off the fire", answered Grace as she knelt down next to Ramona. "Hey Mona, it's alright" she said brushing hair out of Mona's face. "Wake up Mona, or their gonna try to drag you off to the hospital", she shook her friend gently.

Then her mind went back to the matter at had when she realized someone was missing. "Where's your dad Grace?" She said slightly panicked, she almost went to turn and run through the fire before seeing the familiar vehicle of Gracie's father pulling up. She began to relax. "Thank God everyone is ok." Ramona sighed before running her fingers through her already short hair. "What happened? How did the fire start?" She asked curiously, hoping that this fire hadn't been connected with that strange man from earlier. The timing was perfect, and if it had been that man.. "Oh!" She squeaked softly before closing her hands into tight fist when little balls of fire had formed. She really needed to work on that.
Gracie's mother sighed as her husband walked up she took him to the side to tell him everything that had happened.
Gracie felt for them, she knew now that the trip that they had been planning for years had just gone up in smoke, she turned her attention to her friend "Mona you need to be more careful or people are gonna think your some kind of crazy arsonist or something" she said under her breath as she took hold of Ramona's hands. "At least you don't hurt yourself with that anymore, I think that the teachers at school were beginning to think you were hurting yourself or something , she sighed and looked back at her house. "Damn what am I gonna do now my job won't start for a couple of weeks", she said sadly.

Neil went through the hospital, the doctors didn't find anything immediately wrong, but would need more time to make sense of the results.
Knox's job took his lie with a half hearted response, it wasn't the first time a near minimum wage worker called off work.
Ramona was excused from her shift once she finally left the fire.
The day was exhausting. It wasn't even sunset yet when a phone call rang out to the house hold of every one of the 6.
"Excuse me, this is Officer Reynolds, we need you to come down to the station for some questions. A man was found dead outside his home today, when investigating we found his house was filled with pictures of 6 different young adults, yours included. Please come as soon as you can, we can send an escort if needed"
The call was the same to everyone, not even 10 minutes later, the news on every station in town was about the man found dead mysteriously outside his own home, filled with pictures of various young adults.
A few people thought they had seem him before, Ramona saw the man from her work, Neil saw the odd man on the street. But all of them thought for sure they had seen this man before.
What did this mean? what does it have to do with these seemingly six random kids?
Knox held the phone to his ear and stood still in the middle of his room. A man had pictures of him. A man had pictures of five others too. Why did this man have pictures of him. Now he had to go down to the station and answer questions about this. Knox set the phone down, confused, not wanting to answer. Was this man the one who sent him the text, he had pictures of him, so why not his contact details?
Knox decided he'd walk down to the station, thinking it all over, was it the man who warned him to leave? Why would he do that? Knox felt a little overwhelmed and after arriving at the station, closed the door behind him.
In a ditch attempt to prove himself wrong Neil thought of a sum, one that he shouldn't be able to solve 2456 times 4664 and almost instantaneously Neil had the answer which made his jaw drop, he wasn't sure how he was doing this, and wanted no part in it. Neil continued his route home, looking like he'd seen a ghost, he didn't know how he was doing this, only that it caused serve migraines. Neil's eyes lurched forward as he finally spotted his house, and relief swept through him.
Neil stopped at the door fiddling to get his keys, he stuck it into the door twisting them jaggedly. As Neil walked in he noticed a beep on his Phone, he pressed it hearing the automated voice, "You have 1 message." before a beep and "Excuse me, this is Officer Reynolds, we need you to come down to the station for some questions. A man was found dead outside his home today, when investigating we found his house was filled with pictures of 6 different young adults, yours included. Please come as soon as you can, we can send an escort if needed"
Neil's mouth once again dropped this time in a more comical fashion, a man had been murdered with a photo of him in his possession, does it have something to do with what's happening to me? Neil thought, but rationalism prevailed there we six others, it probably has something to do with something else. Neil however felt uneasy inside his home and decided to head down to the Station to ease his mind.

"Mona, you ok..?" Myles asked his sister as she stood frozen near the phone. The man had hung up a long while ago but Ramona was still rooted to the spot with the phone still clutched in her hand. "Yea.. No... I'm not entirely sure.." She said softly before finally putting the phone down, whatever spell that held her there was broken as she turned to face her brother. "A man died yesterday and he had pictures of me and some others in his room. The police want me to head down to the station." She said solemnly, brushing her bangs out of her face nervously as her brother hooked an arm around her shoulders. She didn't know why but she had a sinking feeling that it was the man that was at the dinner earlier.
"Want me to go with you..?" He asked after a moment of silence, but Ramona just shook her head. "No, I'll be fine. It's just a few questions, It's not like I'm in any trouble, I don't even know this man.." She said softly. Even though it was suppose to help calm her down, it didn't do much to help her mood. She was still spooked. Why would a stranger have pictures of her? Or maybe the dead man wasn't the man in the dinner, maybe the dead man was who she was being warned about. Was he going to hurt her..? Well not much he could do now..but still. She turned to grab her keys and bag.
"Let mum and dad know I'll be back in a bit."
"Excuse me, this is Officer Reynolds, we need you to come down to the station for some questions. A man was found dead outside his home today, when investigating we found his house was filled with pictures of 6 different young adults, yours included. Please come as soon as you can, we can send an escort if needed"
the message ended and they all looked at each other. "Well what should we do?" asked Gracie.
"What should we do, we should get ready and get to the station ASAP" said her father.
"Maybe this man has something to do with the house fire" said her mother.
It all sounded creepy to Gracie the thought of some random guy having pictures of her sounded kind of like Silence of the Lambs or something. Her parents grabbed their important info like ID's and such, and Grace grabbed her purse.
When they made it to the station and walked in Gracie noticed Knox was there as well "Knox... what are you doing here?" she asked.
"Knox... what are you doing here?" she asked. Was that Gracie? He turned around, was she here for the reason he was, he sort of hoped not, but he felt like it was highly likely that she was.
"Something about a man who was found dead with a bunch of pictures, apparently he had mine..." Knox sighed quietly. "What brings you here?" He looked around the room, looking at the things on the walls, wow he got distracted easily. Knox turned back to Gracie and awaited her answer.

He ushered them into a small office room, with a set of various folders and files on a table. Once they were all seated he began to talk. "Earlier today, we discovered a man dead outside of his home, a Mr. John Ramos, his cause of death is still currently unknown." the officer said stopping to sip his coffee. "However, when we investigated his home, we found it was covered wall to wall with pictures of six particular kids over their entire life in this town." He picked up folders and hand them to each person present.
"In here you'll see what photos we have identified and sorted as being each of you, we have another file of younger photos we haven't identified yet. Now would you have any idea why this man would have pictures of you all?" he said giving them a meaningful look. He slid a picture of the man towards them. "This is Mr. Ramos' photo."
The picture was of a man probably in his early 40's, balding, grey hair, shabby looking. The same man in Ramona's diner, a man others had seen on the street.
While fishing for her keys to her father's keys, Jeanie's cell phone began playing a catchy pop song. "Ugh," she groaned. "Seriously, I have some pretty bad luck." She attempted to grabbed her phone from her back pocket, but was unsuccessful due to the bags she was carrying. So, with a look around to make sure the coast was clear, Jeanie took a deep breath and concentrated on picking up her phone with her mind. Within seconds, she felt the phone move a bit in her back pocket. "Come on, baby," she coaxed the phone while wiggling a little. Soon, the phone was completely out of her pocket, floating slightly erratically in front of her. Quickly Jean reached for the phone and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Excuse me, this is Officer Reynolds," A man’s voice said through the speaker.
"Uh, what can I do for you?" Jean asked nervously. She had never been in trouble with the law and was extremely nervous talking to a police officer.
"We need you to come down to the station for some questions. A man was found dead outside his home today, when investigating we found his house was filled with pictures of 6 different young adults, yours included. Please come as soon as you can, we can send an escort if needed."
"Ok, I won't be needing an escort. I'll be there as soon as possible." Jeanie hit the end button on her phone and quickly found the keys. She put her clothes in the back seat and made her way down to the police station, nervously.
