Introduction
The Woods sisters have no recollection of their parents.
The only thing they remember is The Lab and the scientists who treated them like nothing more than things to run tests on.
A year ago, the sisters broke out of the lab and went on the run, deciding they will do anything to keep from going back to The Lab.
Their faces are all over the news, they are on the top of the Most Wanted list, but no one knows the truth about these girls.
All the media knows is that these girls have committed murder as well as numerous other crimes and that they are considered very dangerous.
After a year of running, the girls don't know how much longer they can keep it up, constantly looking over their shoulders.
When they come to the small town of Blue Hill, Maine, population 2,217, they figure it will be the perfect place to settle down and try to blend in.
With what money they have left, they buy a small house on the outskirts of town.
But after growing up in a lab with little to no normal human interaction, what do these girls know about fitting in?
Will they be able to keep a low profile and abide by the towns laws after a year on the run?
Toss in a few local guys and who knows what will happen.
Will the guys figure out who they are?
If they do, will they protect the girls, or turn them over for the reward money, $1,000,000?

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 6 authors
Lilly gave her sister a small smile as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable. It's just kind of strange." She projected, going back to her silent communication. "And I don't want you to have to handle everything on your own. I'm going to get a job. I'm just going to have to get used to speaking out loud." She projected with a small shrug of her shoulders. "I saw a convenience store up the street, maybe we can stop by there after we eat? See if they're hiring." She said silently as she grabbed another napkin and started to tear that one to pieces as well, tiny pieces of napkins littered their table.
Stoping next to Sam she eyes the cigarette before gazing at the man. She knew her eyes were filled with distrust. 'Hello sir. Nice to meet you. I see you are getting along with Samantha well?' She smiled politely, although it was forced.
Her final sentence had caught him completely by surprise however and nearly caused him to fall out of his chair-or maybe it was all the alcohol. Regardless, who in the world didn't know who Paul Bunyon was? "Some famous woodcutter?" He asked, repeating her words in a mock tone clearly enjoying the conversation. "More like THE famous woodcutter. I mean-" He was unexpectantly cut off midsentence by another woman from the table who was now talking to him, he assumed it was one of the previously mentioned sisters. For some reason he didn't quite like the look he was receiving from her, whether it was judging or mistrustful he was pretty sure it was bad. The worst part of it all though was the fake smile plastered on her face, something Red had become an expert at seeing through. He returned her mistrustful gaze with a scowl of his own. "I guess you'd have to ask her." He said bluntly as he stared at her, a fresh cloud of gray smoke lingering between the two of them.
The manager, Big Tony as he was called, would approach from behind the counter. "I hear you's was looking for me, little girl? Sam would look up to him with a smile.
"Actually, yes! My sister here was admiring your diner. She was looking about getting a job here. Perhaps you'd be willing to give her an interview?" She leans in closer to the big owner and whispers "She's a real busy body. Always doing something productive. And look at how gorgeous she is, eh? She's probably as pretty as that waitress serving us. Consider it, please. Sir." With that, she relaxed back on her stool and rolled her eyes at Red, obviously about her sister.
She got the lie at once. 'Yes. Our parents. Mom and dad... Lynn gazed at the ground, hoping the sad look she put on looked real enough. Then, as Sam was hinting for her to leave, a large man who she assumed was the owner came up. He spoke to Sam who in turn made an attempt at getting her a job. And working here was something she didn't mind. It was better her here anyway. She didn't want her sisters working someplace that served the liquid the lumberjack man was drinking.
The large slightly dirty looking man who Red had called Big Tony eyed Lynn up and down after Sams question about the job, the whole time he stared at the girl he bit at his lower lip in what Red could only describe as some sickening subconscious act. Just watching the fat slob honestly made Red want to attack the man-a fact that was quite clear as his former phony angry face was replaced with that of silent rage. The change in facial expressions was quite noticeable.
It only took Big Tony a minute or two to reach his decision, he'd be more then glad to hire Lynn. Hell he'd even hire the other girl too if she hadn't been a cripple. In all honesty the diner could always use more help and Tony could always use another obviously shy waiter who he could completely take advantage of at the end of the night when it came to splitting tips. It was really a win win for him. Plus she was a decent looker, which always helped business. "I think we might be able to reach an agreement." He said with his signature sleazeball grin. "You do realize of course the paycheck here is based lousy on tips at the end of the night though, right?"
Virgis was tired. He'd partied hard last night with some friends, and then he got lost on his way walking home, which was nearly impossible in this tiny town. He had made it home and crashed, then woke up this morning and realized he had a theatre meeting soon. So he ran to the nearby diner, and walked in. He saw some people, including three girls he hadn't seen before. He went and sat down and waited for a waiter to come over.
"Oh, hey, can I have some rootbeer! Oh and some fries... A hamburger... Yeah you have cookies right? Can I have like three? They are only on the child menu? The last waiter here didn't say that... I still want them."
Virgis lays back and looks at his phone as the waiter leaves. He texts his friends about his cookie conversation.
Because of her excitement and relief Lynn didn't notice the greedy glint in the owners eye. He took her hand, shook it a bit harder then Lynn would of liked, and told her to be here bright and early the next morning. She nodded vigorously and he gave a wink before walking off to another customer.
The moment he was out of earshot Lynn turned and grabbed her sisters hands. 'You did it! I've got a job! Sam we can do this!'
Turning on the stool, she grabbed her crutches and hopped back onto them. She stood there and looked at the man she had referred to as a "teddy bear" earlier with friendly eyes. "But I've gotta know the name of the big lumberjack who gave me a smoke before I go. Etiquette and all that." Sam looks to struggle for a bit before extending her left hand forward to him, desperately clinging to the crutches in hopes that she wouldn't fall over. "I'm Sam. It was good sharing some chit-chat. Maybe next time you'll tell me who Paul Bunyon was, eh?"
Virgis is casually eating his fries when he looks at the time. He is completely late for his play meeting... Virgis snarfs down his food and gulps his rootbeer up as fast as he can and pays, and runs towards the door. He is answering his text when he bumps into a girl with crutches, and almost knocks her over.
Virgis spins around after catching himself and says, "Sorry, I didn't see you there! I'm in a hurry!" He heads towards the door again, because he really needs to be there, he is a lead in the show, and they are doing auditions the next few days because people are gone... It's a small town, so it's not like there are very many shows. He does feel pretty bad though, he nearly pushing a girl with crutches over.
Lillian had watched her sisters as they talked to the gruff looking man at the bar, though she tried to be inconspicuous about it. She glanced at the waitress when she delivered their food. "Th-thank you," She stammered quietly, her voice still sounding very rough from so many years of being unused. The waitress gave her a strange look but nodded her head before scurrying away. Lillian glanced back at her sisters just in time to see some guy bump into Sam, nearly knocking her over. She was out of her seat in a flash. Even though she was the youngest, she was still extremely protective of her sisters. 'You should watch where you're going!' She snapped at the guy, without even thinking she'd projected her thoughts instead of speaking aloud. When she speaks through projection, it sounds like her normal voice, not that she'd know that since she never used it. She froze by her sisters realizing what she'd done. Hoping the guy wouldn't realize what it was he heard, or maybe he'd think he was going crazy, hearing a girl's voice in his mind.

The weird thing was... It was like, he didn't hear it, he felt it. Virgis stopped and turned around. Something strange just happened. He knew. Nothing ever happens. It's a small town. He had never seen them before and they don't get many visitors... Who were these girls? More importantly, what did the one girl just do, because she sure didn't talk like a normal person. He couldn't put his finger on it, but something was off about how she told him to watch where he was going...
"W-w... What was..."
Virgis had a very confused look on his face. He also completely forgot the meeting and focused on this.
She pushed herself off of the counter, hobbling one step forward on her left leg before reaching her fist up and clobbering him one in the face while he was in thought. And unfortunately for this boy, of the three sisters, Sam was the one who definitely hit hard. He would have easily fallen over, Sam following right on top of him. Letting out a fake groan, she would crawl so that she was straddling over his abdomen and point her finger in his face. Hopefully this was providing enough of a distraction from Lillian. "Listen. Ever bump into me again like that and I'll make sure you get worse than that. Y'hear? I may be crippled, but I'm still a hell of a lot tougher than you, pretty boy." She tried to appear as threatening as a small girl like her could. She was honestly about to forgive him until she needed to draw his attention.
Lynn was ashamed to think that Sam acted first. She hobbled to the dazed man and hot him straight in the face. Sam went down after him and made a very convincing threat. Hoping that Sam's half way finished agreement of the apology was forgotten she reached down and hauled Sam up. While glaring at the boy her hand behind her back was making fluid motions towards Lillian, wanting her to sit back down.
'As my sisters stated out loud for all to hear,'- Okay maybe she stated that too clearly ,'you need to watch where you're going. And don't bump into people.' Nodding she turned and began to lead Sam to the table and she threw her head back to the lumberjack that never got to state his name. 'Nice meeting you. So sorry about today.'
He was leaning back on his hands, and then got off, brushed himself off. He looked at his phone again, and realized now he was so late, he'd have to run as fast as he could. He let out, "Crap. I'm so late." He ran out the door, nearly bumping into the girl again, and sprinted down the street, disappearing soon. As he turned a corner, he thought about it more... He didn't imagine anything. Something had happened, he just didn't know what.
With a defeated sigh, she leaned her back against the wall again and kicked her foot up as she turned to the food in front of her. "Whaaaatever." She mumbles as the kid runs out of the diner and she pops a french fry into her mouth. Fresh and warm food really was better than eating scraps or trash. And as she picked up that BLT sandwich and took a rather large bite from it, she looked like she was melting in ecstacy. She slumped further into a booth as her eyes seemed to roll up through her fluttering eyelids. The soft moans of delight were nothing short of euphoric either as she savored that first bite of fresh, warm, crispy bacon wedged between lettuce, tomato, and toasted white bread. To her, it was as if everything she had endured up to this point meant nothing because the pleasure that this sandwich brought washed away any pain or trouble as she ate it. "The gods themselves had to have made this sandwich... I'm in heaven." She muttered as she began stuffing her face with the sandwich, barely taking time to breathe between each.

Okay, that's manageable.
What's currently best for the roleplay, the lab-enlisted agent or the cynical, I-hate-the-world type of outcast character? I could do either of them effectively.

Re: Experimients On The Run
I'm interested in joining this, but I'm rather surprised by the staggering amount of images/GIFs required in character creation. Due to only having a small selection of pictures of the person I want, is it fine if I ignore most of those?
Also, is it fine if I make an agent-type character tasked with hunting down the girls?
Re: Experimients On The Run
I could also offer first-hand experience with a town of that size. I live and have grown up in a town with a population of 1,174.
