Introduction

Image

It is a land of myth, and of magic. It is a land of power, and of promise. It is a land of fantasy, and of freedom.

In Fantasim Land, you can come in contact with your wildest dreams, your most incredible fantasies… or your darkest nightmares. And unfortunately, this seems to be the case.

Fantasim Land was created by a powerful Light-Earth fairy. Her name was Eve. Eve Lightearth was the first Queen of Fantasim Land. Since then, the world has been a prosperous haven of magic and refuge for those magical creatures of the world. All creatures were accepted here - fairies and mermaids, vampires and werewolves, witches and elves...

As the land thrived and the world grew, Eve passed on the title of Queen to her daughter. And then to her granddaughter, and then her great-granddaughter was Queen. The people loved and trusted the Lightearth Queens, and they remained in absolute power.

For as long as anyone can remember, Fantasim Land has been ruled by the powerful Lightearth Queens. Magnificent and beautiful, these women were good, kind, loving rulers. They nurtured and cared for their Kingdom and their people, and Fantasim Land thrived.

Everything was green. Everything was beautiful. The people were happy. They rejoiced and celebrated. People came from far and wide, seeking freedom and prosperity, happiness and love. Things couldn't possibly be better for the glorious Kingdom.

However, as things tend to do, things went wrong.

Image

Everything seemed perfectly normal within Fantasim Land. The young princess Ophelia had just become Queen, and all was going normally. That is, all went normally until a troupe of castle guards stormed the inn, arresting all those who resisted and setting fire to the place. The fire was quickly extinguished, and panicked citizens hurried to the castle to report the incident to the Queen. Ophelia just laughed, though, and those who reported it were thrown in prison.

It only got worse. Soon, guards were terrorising the people. Much of the city was burned and charred. Many people were executed, thrown in prison, or banished to the dark woods. Children were stolen, homes were raided, and much of the Kingdom's beauty was destroyed. The people lived in terror each day.

With the birth of Queen Ophelia's daughter, Kiara, people began to live each day with hope. Perhaps young Kiara would overthrow her mother. Perhaps young Kiara would restore peace to the land. But she didn't. If anything, Kiara was even worse than her mother. The people were cold, hungry, and miserable.

Image

Queen Ophelia soon passed away. Kiara was assassinated by a rebel force, though the rebels were quickly overthrown by the Queen's army. Kiara's teenage daughter, Cassandra, was crowned Queen.

Now, Cassandra rules the Kingdom. Nobody is quite certain what kind of a Queen she will be, though. Were the influences of her mother and grandmother too powerful for her to be a good Queen? Will a positive influence arrive and change the Queen? Or perhaps a negative influence, one to worsen her even more? Nobody's sure, but one thing is for certain: There's hope yet for the young Queen.

There are several different locations within Fantasim Land. All locations are available to all members, and all of them have some perks…but some might be a little dangerous. Or, perhaps, a lot dangerous. Please take care to only post within location threads; the "Fantasim Land" location contains old content and is no longer active.

The Castle – Located right in the middle of the bustling town, Queen Cassandra’s palace is magnificent, glorious, and symbolic. Filled with a rich history, marvellous décor, and twisting corridors, the castle has housed the Royal Lightearth family for generations, spanning millennia. The current Lightearth Queen, Queen Cassandra, resides in this castle now. However, she is not to be tampered with. Her grandmother, Queen Ophelia, was a very wicked woman and she taught young Cassandra her ways. By entering the castle, you may risk your own life - but it is the only way to meet with the Queen.
The Inn – Bustling with people of all shapes and sizes, the inn is the late-night place to be. In the inn, everyone is equal. Visitors and citizens without housing arrangements can rent a room, grab some drinks, or meet new people. Tear up the dance floor if you want to, but watch that you don’t offend anyone, or perhaps a fight might break out… Guards frequent this location, and it is a popular place for the Queen's terrorism, so it could easily be a dangerous place to stay.
Hot Springs – A beautiful temple once stood around the steaming pools of natural sparkling water. Now, though, they simply sit on the edge of town, surrounded by a few trees and lush green grass. They are a place to bathe, a place to relax, or a place to sit with friends and loved ones and socialize. It is relatively safe and untouched by the carnage within the city...for now...
Royal Gardens – Once regal and magnificent, these gardens held thousands of different types of flowers. Now, though, it is a barren wasteland, like the hearts of the wicked Queens.
Cemetery – In Fantasim Land, all those who have passed lie in the town cemetery, located right on the edge of town against the walls that keep evils outside. The millennia of Lightearth fairies that have ruled over Fantasim Land rest in one crypt, while all habitants rest beneath graves of their own. It is an eerie, spooky place, typically filled with an odd green fog and perfect for witches to perform rituals. It remains relatively unchanged, despite the rule of the wicked Queen.
School – The school of Fantasim Land is a place of learning for all the youngsters of the kingdom. It is small, sure, with only five rooms and a little playground, and though it once was warm and welcoming and full of teachers eager to help you learn, it is now a very dismal place. Children learn their skills, but they do so in a very dull and dreary way. Furthermore, guards and soldiers frequent this location, snatching up children to work as servants or soldiers for the Queen.
Town Square – Located right outside the castle, Town Square was once known for its beautiful, massive fountain centre-piece and busy cobblestone paths. People once came here from all over to sell their goods and to purchase services and goods for their own use. Now, though, it is a dreary place. The fountain has run dry and the elegant fairy standing in the centre of it has been destroyed. Her rubble fills the bowl of the fountain, a sad reminder of the world that once was.
Marketplace - What was once a bustling centre of commerce in the land has now dwindled to the bare minimum. Only a few shopkeepers can afford to stay open, and operating a shop or stall int he marketplace can be a risky business.
Waterfalls – The waterfalls are glorious to behold, and a very calm place to be. You can swim in the cool waters of the lake, perhaps even duck beneath the falls for a quick shower. You can sit on the edge with some friends and talk, or you can simply sit and watch the breathtaking natural waterfalls run their course. They are safe from the terrors of the city, though guards frequently come near during their patrols.
Dark Woods – These woods, on the western edge of the town, are very dark and mysterious. They are said to be the home of outcasts, those thrown from the city for their misdeeds. The Queen frequently banishes people to these woods. They are an excellent place for vampires to feed, or for witches to cast their spells, but those who enter must watch out, for many stories are told within the town of sims entering the woods…and never coming out…
Sunny Forest – On the eastern side of the town is a forest opposite from the Dark Woods. These woods stream in sunshine and are filled with sweet fairies, pixies, and even some unicorns! It is eternally day in this forest, and the sunlight never goes away! It is a small haven, especially within the wreckage and pain of Fantasim Land.
Rumbly Mountains – The mountain range is north of the town, and though it is a bit of a trek, it is absolutely breathtaking to behold. Dragons inhabit these mountains, and sometimes when you visit you can even meet a dragon, though they are often very antisocial towards those from the town. The mountains themselves, meanwhile, are magnificent, tall, and rocky. It is cold at the peaks, surely, but beautiful and worth seeing. Perhaps, if you wander in far enough, you might come across some ancient caverns, or a small volcano...
Unicorn Meadow – Located just off the Sunny Forest, this is a flowery meadow full of, well, unicorns! Unfortunately, the Queen's wicked ways have left the unicorns struggling to survive, and constantly running from hunters.
Ocean’s Shore – The sea is located south of the town, and it is wide and vast. The salty waves crash against the sandy shore of the beach and the smell of the air makes for a relaxing ambience. In the sunlight, the beach is fun and energetic, and when the pure white moon reflects off the sea, it’s very calm and romantic, a perfect getaway for you and your friends or loved ones.
Battlefield – Many a battle have been fought on these barren wastelands, with so few trees and plants growing. The rocky ground is cold and harsh, and many people come here often to remember those who have been lost.

Katzi tucked a strand of blue hair behind her ear and scooped more roast into her mouth. The entire time she was eating she did not let her eyes stop scanning the inn. Everywhere people were holding conversations and laughing among themselves. A very small part of her wished that she had someone to talk to. But that was a very small part. A strange man was sitting at a table by himself as well, and pulled out a very odd looking book and began reading it. Katzis' instincts told her to look away from the book and she did just that, know that she did not want to get involved with anything that felt that....wrong, even if she did not remember why she felt this way. Still being hungry she signalled for more food and continued to watch the rest of the occupants of the inn.

Hell moved to sip his drink only to stop half way to his mouth, eye intent on his book. He swore he thought he'd seen a woman at another table looking at him for a second. So what if she was? he thought. He looked up from his studying and set the mug down. He looked around the inn, stretching back as he did. Loud cracks could be heard from his back as his arms stretched backward. Then suddenly in what almost seemed like one fluid motion Hell picked up his book and pack with one hand and his mug with the other. Moving quickly as if afraid she might dart off, Hell moved to Katzi's table and sat across from her. "Hello madam, good evening I am hoping. My name is Hell Schwarz and correct me if I am wrong but I believe you were just looking at me." His smile seemed unnaturally wide although friendly enough. He had slung the strap of his pack across the back of his chair and set the book down on the table between them as if it was acting as a buffer zone.

Both Hell's eyes focus on her own. Though his blind left eye clearly could seek nothing, his good right eye seemed to attempt to study her very being. This left his face looking as if he was a rather friendly and curious lunatic.

Startled from her meal and watch of the room, Katzi blinked her bright green eyes in shock as the strange purple haired man walked to her table and set the 'wrong feeling' book on the table between them. "-ame is Hell Schwarz and correct me if I am wrong but I believe you were just looking at me." She swallowed the food in her mouth and gazed at him curiously.

"My name is Katzi. And you are reading a strange book." His smile unnerved her. "I did not mean to offend you sir. I.... Uhm..." She glanced around the room, thinking of a believable story. She couldn't well tell him she had no clue why she was there. "I am just passing through, I have travelled a bit and am tired." She bowed her head and took a long drink. What did this smiling and strange looking man want?

Hell's smile seemed to some how widen a bit in glee. "No no not at all Miss Katzi. I am no where near offended, just....curious." He seemed to stop and think for a second. "I am sorry if I startled you. It was not my intention to do so." He bowed his head forward slightly and tapped his left cheek twice. " I simply acted on the impulse to chat with another. This is my first travel out side of the Dark Woods. " His smile had faded to just a friendly curve of the lips as he spoke. Then suddenly he frowned as if he'd just realized something. "Strange book?..."He looked to the spell book on the table between them, "I hope this is not unnerving you. Its nothing more than magics from my people."

She frowned during his talk, her green eyes narrowing and glancing away from him to look at the book. He had said it was magic.

"what are the ... 'Dark Woods'? And what people do you speak of that would use....." she choked out the word "magic from a book?" She was genuinely curious to hear his response.

He seemed confused for a second before responding. "I...well... they are the woods on the western edge of the town. Its a dangerous place where all kinds of things live. I am from a nomadic group of werewolves that live deep in them. They are the ones who would use magic from a book....though truthfully the book is a written record of magics passed down from one generation to the next for....well as we say, time beyond memory." Hell looked from her gaze to the book and back. "I could put this away if it bothers you Miss Katzi."

"Memory...." Her eyes glazed over and an image flashed in her mind.

*Wolves, and a witch... running through the forest. Something was wrong. Something was very wrong, she hadn't meant to be there, she was supposed to avoid running into these wolves.... and now they had -- *

The images ended and she gasped softly. Was that a memory? She gazed at the Man and the book. Something about that book intrigued and frightened her. "Please. Tell me more of these.... werewolves... are there others like the group you're from? Perhaps a .... witch among them?"

Hell grinned slightly and looked thoughtful. "Well sure, my people aren't the only group to live in the woods and magic is a big part of survival there." He took a drink from his mug and wondered at the soft gasp she had made. What was it that had made her react in such a manner to the thought of magic and werewolves. A strange look suddenly came across his face. "Do you know what a werewolf is madam?" The smile was gone and there was something unsettling about the way he asked her.

"Now, I think that it would be best for you to leave now, while you're ahead. Otherwise, I'll start using these, and I can guarantee that you won't like it. Not one bit." There was a smirk on her lips, pleased that she had the chance to taunt Sepiroth's father like this. She had to admit, Gladius was rather attractive, in a spooky, demonic kind of way, but he was evil. Too evil. She didn't like it one bit, and his demonic sexiness coincided in a bad way with her love for Sepiroth. She'd have to ignore her demon fantasies and focus on the important issue at hand: Protecting Sepiroth.

Hell began to drum his fingers on the table unconsciously as his mind took in what she said. He frowned slightly not sure if she was lying or telling the truth. "Miss have you had some sort of head injury lately? Or crossed some magic user mayhap?" His fingers moved to rest on the black book as if they had a mind of their own. "I maybe be able to offer some sort of help in such problems...though I cannot promise anything." Hell noticed his hand resting on his spell book and took it off, using the hand to lift his mug and take a deep drink.

*pain filled her body. Every inch of her felt like it was melting. The person standing across from her laughed darkly at her screams and cries.

"Where is it Katzi? I'll give you one more chance to tell me."

She couldn't tell them. Not even at the cost of her life. She kept screaming until a huge flash of light blinded her. The person yelled in frustration and pain.*

"..."

Hell was looking at her expectantly. She blinked several times then frowned.

"I remember being in pain. Being tortured for information. Then something flashed or maybe exploded. Then nothing."

Benjamin walked along the path which led into the new kingdom, gazing thoughtfully at the small blue topaz in his hand. It was glowing very slightly, indicating that his sister had to be somewhere not too far away. At least somewhere in the kingdom. Sighing softly he glanced down at Bone, a weak smile spreading over his lips and lighting up his handsome face. Gently he patted his gigantic wolfhounds head as they walked. He didn't understand her. Well yes, it did hurt to find out almost everything you had believed in your whole life was a lie, but she had to get over it. She couldn't let it bring her down, besides... it didn't change what we felt for our now older brother at all. To Ben Sepiroth was still his father and he knew Lizzy felt the same, yet she was somehow much more effected by it all. If Benjamin knew his sister right she would be somewhere isolated, hiding and possibly harming herself which was a very bad habit of hers. Ben's mouth twitched in annoyance as he thought of that.

He narrowed his green, cat like eyes slightly when he entered the town, glancing around cautiously. It was dark and cold outside but he hardly noticed that he was in fact freezing. Traveling for so long had made him used to natures wild games. He placed his hand on the sword hilt and sighed. There was diffidently something wrong about this place. He could smell the fear and devastation. From somewhere he could hear the voices of two woman breaking the silence of the night. The sound of them speaking was almost disturbing to Ben. He paused and started following their voices. Although they were annoying she couldn't help it but feel ever so slightly curious.

Benjamin didn't stop until he found the source of the two talking. He tilted his head and watched them silently for a while, taking hold of Bone's collar so that he wouldn't pad over to them out of pure curiosity. The dog was the friendliest and most loyal companion you could ever wish for, but being as big as a small pony and looking somewhat wild could make him seem rather intimidating. Ben ran his pale fingers through his golden hair as he watched them.

Suddenly Bone barked, making Ben even more cautious than he already was. He glanced around quickly, knowing that it wasn't the two woman Bone was barking at. He narrowed his catlike, green eyes when he noticed something laying on the ground. A body... there was something leaking from its head. Something else than blood. Letting go of Bone, Ben started towards the body, having the feeling that something was wrong with it but not being able to put his finger on what it was. He crouched down and realized it had to be the corpse of a man. It was laying on its stomach so Ben couldn't quite see what age he was or how his face looked. Carefully he reached his hand out towards the... thing... and first then he realized it was breathing. Bone was growling at it. Holding his breath Benjamin locked his hand around the mans arm and flipped him over on his back.

He hardly had time to react for whatever creature that was had opened its fanged mouth wide and started screaming, a worse stench than Ben had ever smelled before reaching out from it's mouth. It's voice was ear deafening and as Ben quickly backed away from it he had no choice but to put his hands over his ears. The terrible noise was making him feel sick, close to fainting, really. He continued backing away and so did Bone. The dog barked and growled loudly, showing off his sharp teeth as it tried to keep the creature which was starting to crawl towards Ben on all four at bay. Maybe wanting to help all the time isn't that good...
