Introduction
A ceasefire was called by the leaders of both sides numerous times, but each attempt at peace was met with failure. An underling from one side or the other would push past border lines, or feed during allotted 'safe' hours, and would throw the two back upon the other.
Eventually, a solution was found by a small group of revolutionary vampires and slayers. They devised a plan to send in their own children (progenies for the vampires) into a carefully designed test. With the blessing of both leaders, they proceeded to execute their plan.
The older generations were too stuck in their ways. They weren't going to change willingly. They needed to focus on the younger generation, whose anger still fueled them and who still had the energy to fight. It was decided that a group of slayers and vampires would be sent into a maze, purposely built by the slayers and maintained by tentatively helpful vampires.
The slayers had used it for training exercises. They would capture vampires, drug them, and then let their new recruits track them down and kill them... if they could. It hadn't been used in a number of years since they'd developed more efficient and less dangerous methods- but it would work for what they wanted. With a little help from the vampire elders, the maze was refurbished for it's new purpose. Based in a secret and remote location, the situations inside could be controlled from an external control room.
Both sides agreed to send their youngest and newest- but not with their knowledge. They'd have to work together and not kill each other to get out. The more they fought, the harder it would get for them. The more they got along, the easier it would get. To ensure that no one side would be favored, the side controlling it would alternate every day.
But would this work or would this test result in both sides dying off once and for all? They had to try. For humanity's sake.
No godmodding or powerplaying.
Keep the drama to the IC.
If you have a problem with another member, try and sort it out over PM, and if that isn't working, I will act as a mediator.
If you want to leave, let me know, and your character will be killed off or removed in another way.
If you don't post for two weeks
and don't give me some kind of reason, I'll assume you have left and will proceed as such.

In character actions = in character consequences. If you break a rule of the games, your character will be punished accordingly IC, including but not limited to, being maimed, made uncomfortable, forcibly transported to another part of the maze, or killed..

Go to PM (or the OOC) and discuss who's going to win or what's going to happen. Myself and Jynxii will be keeping an eye on things to ensure that nobody is godmodding or anything.

Slayers are basically humans who have evolved very slightly to give them an advantage over a normal human when fighting vampires. Their reflexes are that fraction sharper. They're faster and stronger, often handy with a blade. However, slayers stand no chance against a vampire unless they are properly trained. This often starts in their early teens and continues until they are in their late teens or early twenties.

Vampires are not dependent on human blood- however, it does make them stronger, faster and more energetic. Without blood, a vampire gradually becomes weaker and weaker. Blood is extremely addicting, leading in the blood-crazed murders we're familiar with from popular fiction. They can eat human food, but some find it disgusting. Vampires are incredibly strong and fast and can jump incredible distances, often leading to the belief that they can fly. A vampire can be killed by a stake through the heart, either wooden or metal, or by beheading. Garlic, holy water and crucifixes cause pain and discomfort, garlic having the least effect and crucifixes having the most. Sunshine does not cause a vampire to burst into flames- however, it does cause burning and painful rashes, meaning many avoid it. They can produce venom at will, allowing them to bite and change their victim.
