Introduction

Many long years ago, the Angels and Demons ruled the world together in peace. Earth flourished during this time. There was almost no death or pain that was unnatural. The Humans worshiped these beings for their hard work. For many years, this was the way the world was. One day, the Demon King Sharkû plotted against the Angels. He had grown tired of sharing power with the Light Beings. He drew up a plan that involved killing the Light Beings' King, Aicecet. Aicecet was the most beloved of all of the Angels and his death would mean the downfall of the Angels. Sharkû waited patiently for the best moment to put his plan into action. He waited so many long, terrible years. Finally, after what had seemed like ages, the plan was put into place. Slowly, the Demons began attacking the Angels' great palace that resided upon the tallest mountain, reachable only by flight. This was the beginning of the Great War.

For many ages the two races fought each other. The Humans were forced into hiding from fear of being killed, or worse by the Demons. At long last, Sharkû was able to push his forces into the beautiful white palace of Aicecet. The darkly colored Demons marched through the palace, killing any in their way. Aicecet and Sharkû locked themselves into battle with each other. For many long days they fought without a killing blow being landed. All around them, their followers were fighting as well. As Sharkû was about to kill Aicecet, a woman threw herself in the way. The Demon regarded her for a long moment. It was his mate, Sartanis. Sartanis was a beautiful Demon who resembled more an Angel. For this reason, Sharkû had fallen in love with her. Why was his mate protecting the enemy. Sartanis explained that without the Angels, the Demons would perish. It was this woman who saved the world. She stopped her mate from killing the Angelic King. Aicecet was furious with Sharkû. For his evil doings, all of his kind was banished below ground. They would not be aloud above the earth unless it was approved by the Angelic King.

For many long years the Angels worked to rebuild what the Demons had destroyed on Earth. Once they'd finished the rebuilding, the Angels moved their palace to the skies, hidden from all. They continued to rule over the Humans as they had always done, but in a more godly manner.

The Demons had grown to prefer the deep darks of the world. The King's mate had finally bore him a son. This son was trained for many years in all arts so that one day he could retake what was rightfully theirs.

Angels: They are known as Light Beings or Angels by the Humans. They usually have lightly colored hair and eyes and have white feathered wings. Their height is between 5'5 and 5'9. They act as guardians to the Humans and protect them against the Demons. Angels have the abilities of; Light Energy attacks, Able to fly, able to heal themselves or others.

Demons: They are known only as Demons. They generally have black colored hair and red eyes. Most do not have wings but horns and fangs. Their height is between 5'0 and 5'5. They have come to leave the Angels alone but when they are able to escape their underground prison they like to torment the Humans. Demons have the ability to transform into an animal form making it easier to hide from the Angels and Humans when they need to. Other abilities; Dark energy attacks, able to fly(if born with wings), heal quickly, able to control others through mind control.

Humans: They are the most common race on the planet. They come in all sorts of different appearances and heights.

There are some slight variations between the races.

Our story starts with the Demons slowly becoming able to escape their prison and are beginning to torment the Humans. The Demon King's son is on the verge of being banished from the Demon Realm.

Smiling, the Demon was pleased that Amara had accepted the necklace. He had no need for it as he was quite sure in his abilities. "Thank you, Rilyan-...Rilyana-.. Ril-... Rily. Thanks, Rily," Amara said. Rilyanassë noticed the color that had went into Amara's beautiful face. Rily smiled warmly at the girl. "You are most welcome." he said. Golden eyes were fixed upon the girl's face. Rily was feeling strange things again. He felt so drawn to Amara and he wasn't sure why. He'd never felt this way about anyone before. Amara was already speaking again. "Let's go swimming in the pool out back. Nothing like a morning swim. There should be some silky looking shorts in that third dresser drawer.. take everything else off, and put those on. I'll go put mine on and meet you outside." Rilyanassë smiled and watched as Amara left him. The Demon got up from the bed and walked over to the drawer that Amara had spoken of. He slowly opened it as if something was going to jump out at him. He looked inside seeing a few different pairs of..shorts..is that what she'd called them? Before coming to the Surface, Rilyanassë had thought that he knew so much about the world the Humans inhabited. How wrong he had been. He pulled out a silky pair of..shorts that were white with a red colored swirl pattern moving upward. He eyed the fabric for a long moment. They didn't have shorts in the Underworld and the Demon wondered about them. They seemed to be just like pants only..shorter. He gave his head a small shake. He quickly undressed, folded his clothing, and then placed them upon his bed. He pulled on the shorts and tied them so they wouldn't fall of his lean and muscled body. "Come on, Rily!" the Demon heard Amara yell at him. He quickly exited his room and made his way down the stairs.

He followed the direction that he heard Amara from. She must have really wanted to go swimming. She'd beaten him downstairs in record time. He walked outside of the house, seeings Amara already stepping into the pool. "It's only cold for a minute!" she said to the Demon. He was hesitating getting into the pool. He was used to intense heat and already he was cold. So if what Amara was saying, if he got into the pool he'd be even colder..even if it was just for a moment he wasn't so sure that he wanted to get in. As he was debating within himself, Rily met Amara's eyes. She was smiling at him, inviting him in to join her. No matter how much he wasn't looking forward to being any colder, he could suffer through it. "Who said being on the run couldn't be any fun? Hey, that rhymed!" Amara said. Rilyanassë smiled at Amara warmly, laughing at her lightly. "May I ask, how you know that I will not melt if I get into the pool? Perhaps I can only withstand water if I'm in my other form?" he asked, looking completely serious. He wondered what she would say. He walked to a spot a bit further than where Amara was in the pool. He was eyeing her, his eyes full of happiness. He gave her only a moment to think over his question before he took off running straight at the pool. He jumped into the cool water, touching the bottom of the pool. He opened his golden eyes underneath the water. He could see Amara. He quickly swam behind the girl and came up, strong arms wrapping around the girl. He was gazing at her now, eyes soft. His hair soaked, was hanging in his face. "I guess I am lucky. It seems that I have not melted." he said, laughing.

Amara was standing shoulder-deep in the water when he came outside, and she grinned at the sight of him. Damn, he was sexy. She felt her heart beating a little more as she took in his muscular form. " "May I ask, how you know that I will not melt if I get into the pool? Perhaps I can only withstand water if I'm in my other form?" he was saying. For a moment she laughed, but then she realized that she really had no idea what would happen to him in a pool. He had been in his dog form when the rain was coming down on him... what if he was like one of those furry creatures, when if you got them wet they turned into monsters that raided the town?! Panic gripped her. "Wait, Rily, Don--" and then he was soaring through the air and splashing into the water.

She turned her head at the last minute, to keep her eyes from getting sprayed with chlorine, and then looked anxiously at the water to see if her handsome demon had been replaced with some grotesque creature. He cut through the water with ease, and before she knew it, she felt his warm touch against her back, pulling her close to him. Her breasts pressed in against his chest, and she felt her waist gently brush against his at their closeness. "I guess I am lucky. It seems that I have not melted." She heard him laugh, a dark bubble from the center of his chest, and it made her smile. A hot blush was blooming in her cheeks at his closeness to her.

"Guess I'm lucky too," she said, watching as water drops fell from the tips of his soaked hair. "Cleaning you out of the filter system would have been a real pain in the ass." She grinned. She felt a sudden pull, as if he had a magnet in his chest that was set to high. She slowly moved her head closer to his, until her lips were just a breath away from his, and at the last moment, she looked away, blushing deeply. "I, um.. so... It's nice out today.." It's nice out today? Are you serious, Amara?! she mentally kicked herself.

Rilyanassë was smiling gently at Amara. "Guess I'm lucky too. Cleaning you out of the filter system would have been a real pain in the ass." Amara said, grinning. Rily watched as Amara moved her head closer to his. He wasn't sure if he should move or not. He opted for wait to see what the girl would do. The girl stopped, her lips so very close to his own. Time seemed to stop for the Demon. He felt as if he'd been watching Amara for a long time. His golden eyes regarded the girl. Just as he thought that perhaps he should close the distance between them, Amara looked away from him. He felt great displeasure from this. The Demon wasn't sure why but he had wanted to kiss her. "I, um.. so... It's nice out today..", Amara said. Rily eyed her for a moment. "I would not know, I'm afraid." Rily said as he gently released Amara from his embrace. He eyed her with his intense eyes. He was confused by her actions. Did he repulse her so that she could not imagine being so close to him? He sighed quietly. He could not blame her. He quickly dunked under the water to get his hair out of his handsome face. Coming back up, he kept his head tilted back, running his hands through his hair to keep the strands upon his head. He gave Amara a smile. "I'm a Demon and therefor would know nothing of such things. We simply accept the way our surroundings are." He had moved slowly to the wall across from Amara and was now leaning against it. "Though, if you say that it is nice, I'm sure that it is." he said.

Rilyanassë watched Amara for a moment longer. He then turned his eyes upon their surroundings, as if he was looking for something. He then returned his gaze to Amara. "Did you know that we don't have much water in the Underworld? It's too hot to be able to keep it there." he said, enjoying the feel of the water upon his skin. Although he had been quite cold when he'd first gotten in, he'd warmed up. He also noted that his side was no longer bothering him. He'd not payed it much attention the night before nor that morning. He looked down to see that the skin where the wound hand been was completely smooth, clear from any mark. This was good. He returned his eyes to Amara. He couldn't stop watching her. He was so intrigued by her. Why was it that he seemed to want to be near her and watch her all of the time?

Amara felt her heart sink a little when he let her go and swam away, over to the wall. She felt guilty. Maybe she should have kissed him? Did he want her to? She heard him sigh and it just made her feel worse. Maybe he had. She slowly let her hues rake over his form, drinking him in as he spoke to her. She wasn't sure what he was talking about, something about water in the underworld. Amara wasn't really listening, she was walking back over to him, enjoying the way that his eyes seemed to glue themselves to her. As she walked over to him, the water level got lower, revealing her chest from the water. Goose bumps waved across her skin.

"..It's too hot to be able to keep it there." he was explaining. She nodded and offered him a smile. "You left me, I got cold," she said playfully, as she pressed herself in against his chest. She purposefully meant to press her waist in against his, but played it off as if she didn't realize. "My mother loved coming here. She loved the beach, and the water, like me." It was just idle conversation, as her hand gently stroked his side. "I'm glad you're all healed.." She tipped her head back to look up into his face, taking in his strong features and his delicate mouth. "You have the most amazing eyes I've ever seen, Rily," she whispered, tendering reaching up to run her fingers through his hair.

Her heart fluttered in her chest with excitement. He was a demon. A real demon. He could kill her, right now, if he wanted to. Something about being the gem in the eye of a being that could easily murder towns full of people was thrilling. Now she knew why Bell had fallen for The Beast. He wasn't anything like the beast, though. He was already handsome, and kind. "You're amazing.." she whispered, and in the heat of the moment, she rose onto her tiptoes and pressed her lips into his. She stayed there for only a moment before she slowly pulled back, unsure if that's what he wanted or not. Tingling sensations danced up her spine. Kissing him was not like kissing other men. As if some sort of chemical had gone off at the contact of their lips, she felt as though she were slightly buzzed.

Golden eyes watched Amara's every movement as she approached Rilyanassë. He stopped talking as she reached him. The girl was smiling at him. "You left me, I got cold," Amara said, pressing herself against the Demon. Rilyanassë froze immediately as he felt Amara pressing her slim waist against his. He wondered if she'd meant to do that or if perhaps she'd not realized it. Either way, the Demon could not describe the feeling that he had at that moment. It had been so long since he'd been a situation like this and in the end it hadn't ended well. He circled his strong arms around Amara's waist loosely, allowing her to move from him if she wished it. "Forgive me. It was not my intention to leave you to freeze." the Demon said, smiling at Amara. He could not believe that he was already so comfortable with Amara. It normally took him much longer to warm up to someone. It had been different with Amara. He'd instantly felt as if he could trust her. The Demon snapped back into the present. Amara had been speaking to him and he'd somehow missed what she'd said.

Rilyanassë felt the girl's smaller hand upon his smooth skin. He looked at her, trying to figure out what she was up to. "I'm glad you're all healed.." Amara said. "As am I. It took much longer than normal, though." he said, trying to hold himself together. He was quickly becoming nervous around Amara. He could not figure out her intentions. Now that Rily thought about it, perhaps this was a good thing. She kept him guessing. Rily watched as Amara seemed to take in his face, which wasn't hard considering that they were only an inch apart in height. "You have the most amazing eyes I've ever seen, Rily," Amara whispered as she tenderly ran her fingers through the Demon's strangely colored hair. Rilyanassë remained quiet, watching the girl in front of him. It wasn't long before she was speaking again. "You're amazing.." He watched as Amara rose and pressed her lips onto his. The kiss only lasted a short couple of seconds before Amara pulled away. Rily was surprised that she'd kissed him, especially after she hadn't only a few minutes before. What had changed? Why had she decided now that she wanted to be this close to him. He decided not to think for once. He knew that he should have told her that they couldn't go down this path. That they shouldn't allow such feelings to even develop. How they shouldn't allow themselves to act on such things. Rilyanassë smiled at Amara gently, his eyes softening towards the girl. He gently pressed his soft lips against Amara's, tentatively. He hoped that she would not be angry with him for kissing her. Of course, she had kissed him first. He gently pulled back, staring into her beautiful eyes. He was allowing her to move from him if she wished it. Rily then pressed his lips against Amara's again, with a bit more confidence. He continued giving Amara deep, passionate kisses. He loved the feeling of his lips against hers. His left hand had moved from her waist to rest against her soft neck, effectively keeping her pressed against him. Rily pulled just far enough from Amara to be able to speak, their noses still touching. "I promise you that I am not amazing, as you think. Though, I will settle for being me. I cannot imagine changing just to appease my father." he said softly, his eyes regarding Amara.

Amara could feel the blush that had bloomed in her cheeks, making her face warm. To her delight, he kissed her back, but then pulled away. Worried that he was just as confused as she was, she didn't move. A grin swept over her face as he pulled her into him and kissed her hungry, holding her in his strong but gentle arms. His passionate kisses set her insides ablaze and she melted in against him. She had never kissed a boy shorter than her before, but he was only so by an inch, so this put him right on her level. It was nice, not having to strain upward, or stay on her tiptoes. She had originally gone up on them out of habit, only to fall back down to her normal height when she remembered that he was her height.

He was saying something to her, but she couldn't make out what it was. Her blue hues were watched him with a human hunger. "I cannot imagine changing just to appease my father." She heard him say. "Me either," she whispered back, regarding her father wanting to kill him and expecting her to want to do the same. She didn't notice it, but her markings had returned. Her entire body was glowing with majestic runes that she could not explain. If she took the time to actually look at them, she would find that she could read what they said, as if the language was encoded in her blood.

But she wasn't interested in runes right now, she couldn't be bothered with them in the slightest. She ran both of her hands up his chest, digging her nails lightly into his shoulder as she began kissing him again more fiercely this time. She could feel her heart beat between her thighs and her fingers itched as they gently clawed at his skin. She wanted to crawl inside of him, drink his essence and become one with him.

Unknown to Amara, what she was feeling was not only lust, but the lust of an Angel. All of her human attributes had been heightened since she triggered her Hunter gene. She now felt everything ten times as much as she normally would. Under a normal circumstance, Amara would never have been this close to someone after only knowing them for two days. But due to her new feelings, and the fact that he was so different from everything she'd ever known, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.

A part of her, somewhere in the back of her mind, was telling her that this was not a good thing. Nothing good could come out of her being with this demon. Why wouldn't she be a normal girl and go settle down with a normal man in a town house with a white picket fence and have babies and two dogs? She kissed him passionately, nibbling at his lip and pushing him into the wall of the pool aggressively. Because she didn't want that life. She wanted this one. A sexy, adventurous, dangerous life. With Rily.

One of her hands slowly ran up the back of his neck to grip his uniquely colored hair, while the other disappeared from view between their waists. No one was around to see anyway, but she liked the thrill of maybe getting caught. She pulled on his hair to expose his neck, where she trailed kisses and light nibbles, all the while her other hand went exploring below the water. She didn't feel anything, or notice, but blood from her back had mixed with the water, swirling in brilliant curls and wisps. Huge arch angel wings, white as snow, had silently slid from her back in her moment of passion. So absorbed in biting and sucking on his neck, she didn't even notice them.

Rilyanassë had his golden eyes closed, enjoying the feeling of Amara running her hands up his chest. Her kissing him was setting his entire body on fire. He'd of course been with several beings before, mainly Demons. Yet..none of them had made him feel this way before. He wasn't even able to really think, only being able to concentrate on Amara's lips. She seemed to be everywhere, filling his every sense. The girl was nibbling his lip now and roughly pushing him into the wall. It did not hurt but surprised Rily. He had not expected Amara to act this way. He returned her kiss with equal passion, not allowing himself to be outdone by the Human. Amara slowly ran one of her hands up the back of his neck to grip his hair. He suddenly felt her other hand traveling below their waists. The Demon had not been expecting this and his body seemed to almost completely relax against the girl's ministrations. He never released her, keeping her quite close to himself. Amara exposed Rilyanassë's neck, trailing kisses and nibbles upon the soft skin. The girl's hand was still in the water, exploring the Demon's solid body. The Demon's left hand moved to Amara's chest, reveling the feeling. He gently continued his ministrations to her chest, marveling at how the fabric covering her was almost non-existent.

Rilyanassë, for a reason unknown to him, opened his eyes to look at Amara. Something felt...off. He'd even thought that he smelled blood, which made no sense to him. He turned his eyes downward, seeing the cause of his confusion. From behind Amara's waist, Rilyanassë saw blood mixing with the water, gently floating out from the girl in his arms. Why was she bleeding? While continuing to allow the girl to have her way with his body, his golden eyes fixed upon the white wings that seemed to be coming out of Amara's back. Time seemed to slow down for Rilyanassë, then. In his mind, those wings meant only one thing and he needed to get away from them. Golden eyes fixed onto Amara. He, in the blink of an eye, was out of the pool and in his animal form. The Demon was staring the girl that he'd allowed so close to himself, confusion and pain written in his eyes. The large dog was snarling and growling softly at Amara, a warning to stay away. He resembled more a wolf in that moment, unpredictable and dangerous. His long canines protruded more than normal, his eyes starting to glow a bit. The house was behind Rily and he could have easily fled from Amara yet..something was holding him back. He couldn't figure out what it was and this angered him. Why wasn't he running as he'd been taught to do when meeting a being with white colored wings? Then, there was that strange feeling in his chest as he watched the girl. He wanted so badly to wake from this terrible dream. The one person he'd allowed so very close to him was the enemy. A foolish mistake and if his father ever found out the younger Demon would never hear the end of it.

Amara was stunned when he left, for it had happened so quickly, her senses didn't have time to register it. His swimming trunks slowly sank to the bottom of the pool, along with her mood. She was confused, and as he growled at her she thrashed backwards in the water in an attempt to put space between them. He was scary, and the wolf looked like it would rip her apart, starting with her jugular. As she went to go backwards, an unexpected weight was there and she fell. Before she knew what to do, she was under the water, being weighed down by the enormous wings that had once again manifested from her flesh. When she opened her eyes under the water she could see the blood swirling by her. She let out a scream, but all that came out were bubbles.

Somehow, she managed to pull herself out of the water. Thankfully, she had only been waist deep. When she emerged from the watery depths, she was coughing, and paying no mind to the wolf on the other side of the pool. Suddenly Amara was acutely aware of the burning sensation of the chlorine in her open wound. She struggled to drag her wings through the water and to the other side of the pool, where she struggled to pull herself out of the water.

She managed to do so, finally, and laid on the tan concrete to rest. Her markings were sparkling in the sunlight that hit her. So they glow in the dark, and sparkle in the sun. Wonderful. How much bigger of a freak could I be turning into? I'm already half fucking bird... she thought bitterly to herself. Having wings almost made her drown a few seconds ago.

Why had Rily jumped away from her like that? Why was he growling at her? Slowly, as she looked into her reflection of the water, it dawned on her. She was one of them. An Angel. But how? She had never.... She didn't have time to think about that right now. "Rily, please, I'm sorry!" she called across the pool. Breathing heavily from her efforts in the water, she slowly pulled herself into a seated position. "I'm not going to hurt you, Rily, please.." she whimpered. Slowly, she started to cry. She didn't want to be an Angel, she didn't want to have wings, or runes, or for Rily to leave her.

She pulled her knees to her chest and wept with her head down. Slowly, the runes faded away, and the wings returned to their hiding place somewhere within her soul. She didn't notice any change, aside from her back feeling significantly lighter, and the pain slowly going away as her skin crawled together and stopped the bleeding. "I'm a monster..." she whimpered, holding her legs as close to her as possible. No wonder the Angels were hunting her. They wanted her to kill Rily and be like them. Well, she wouldn't be like them. She just wanted to be herself. Wasn't that enough?

Rilyanassë watched as Amara tried to distance herself from him. This confused him. If she was one of them, why was she trying to get away from him. In her attempt to get away from him, Amara seemed to stumble backwards, going under the water. He almost went after her. That strange feeling in his chest trying to move him into action. His fear was the only thing that kept him from jumping into the pool for her. He watched in agony as the girl struggled before finally coming back up. She was coughing and seemed to be paying him no mind. The Demon could not understand why she wasn't coming after him. The girl was struggling to get out of the water. He felt a weight leave him as she finally was able to get out of the pool and laid down. He regarded her as she lay there, noticing now the markings that were upon her skin, glittering. She had not said anything to him and he was beginning to think that perhaps he should get away while he still could. "Rily, please, I'm sorry!" Amara yelled towards him. He only stared at her with his golden eyes glowing. He made no indication that he'd heard her. He would not allow himself to be tricked again. He should have known when the Angels had attacked back at her home that he couldn't trust her. He began feeling a truly strange feeling in his chest. It almost felt as if someone had ripped his heart right out of his chest. He wasn't sure why, it wasn't like he'd really known Amara that long. He shouldn't be this attached to her already. The..girl was sitting now. When she had moved, he did not know. "I'm not going to hurt you, Rily, please.." Amara said. To Rilyanassë, it sounded as if she were about to cry. Sure enough, not a few seconds later, Amara was crying.

The Demon could not understand. Why was she so upset? Amara was still crying, now into her knees. The Demon watched as the markings and the wings disappeared. Rilyanassë slowly stopped growling and snarling. He was feeling no threat from Amara and thought that perhaps it was safe to calm himself. "I'm a monster..." she said. The Demon slowly and silently made his way to Amara. She had not seemed to notice him. He cautiously approached the girl from the side, eyeing her. He knew that he couldn't shift to comfort her as she would most likely say something about his lack of clothes. Instead, he gently pushed his soft canine head under her arm, effectively making it so that she had to look at him. He was partially standing in her lap now, staring into Amara's face. He wanted her to look at him. He gently began to lick her beautiful face, as if trying to apologize for reacting the way he had. She had only startled him and his natural instincts had kicked in. He wanted to tell her so badly that she was no monster. That if either of them were, it was Rilyanassë. Stopping his licking, the Demon gently rested his furry forehead against Amara's shoulder. He wanted so badly to hear her voice, for her to stop crying. He could not think of any other way to get her to stop besides remain so very close to her.

Amara was so far lost in her misery that it took a while to notice the wolf had come over to her. He kissed away her tears with his canine tongue and then rested his head on her. She took this as him saying he was sorry, and tried to stop crying. "I'm sorry too," she mummered, leaning into him and wrapping her arms around him. "Let's get inside. It's cold." She could feel herself shaking due to being wet and out of the water. She'd leave the trunks in the pool until later when she'd go fish them out. There were plenty of other pairs, if they ever dared to go back into the pool after this traumatic experience.

Amara slowly pulled herself off the cement and walked back towards the glass sliding door, opening the door for him to go in, and then closing it with her inside. At once she felt goose bumps race across her skin. It was even colder in here, and her everything was soaking wet. She walked into the bathroom, forgetting to close the door, and peeled off her bathing suit. She hung it up and turned on the shower, stepping in and closing the misty glass door. Fog rolled from the top of the shower as she pulled her hair out of the bun and washed herself clean of the blood and chlorine.

"Why me, mom?" she said into the water that cascaded down around her. After she was done bathing herself, she stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel. Drying herself off as best she could, then wrapping the pink towel around her body, she padded out into the kitchen. She needed a beer. "Rily, if you're thinking of running off again, I'll kick your ass!" she called as she dug through the fridge for a beer. She came out with what she was looking for, and she turned to see if he was there.

The Demon remained close to Amara for a moment before she spoke to him. "I'm sorry too." She was hugging him and Rilyanassë took this as a good thing. He wanted to remain close to the girl, to continue to comfort her. It was not to be as Amara was speaking again. "Let's get inside. It's cold." Rily gently slid away from the girl to allow her to move back inside. He the waited for Amara to rise. His golden eyes were fixed upon her beautiful figure and slowly trotted closely as she made her way back to the house. Amara opened the door, allowing Rily to enter first. He walked in and waited for Amara to enter. He watched her as she quickly made her way to the bathroom, not closing the door. He slowly made his way towards the bathroom, intending to head to the stairs. As he was passing by, Amara had her back turned to him. He paused for a moment, staring. He felt a strange need to be near her. He quickly gave his fluffy head a shake and continued on his way. He trotted up the stairs and into his bedroom. He stood in the center of the room for a moment before moving. He couldn't believe what had happened. Amara was one of them. Yet, after the initial shock of finding out, he was not afraid of her. He was still drawn to her. Wanted to be close to her body. He quickly shifted into his true form. The Demon stood as tall as his short frame allowed.

He sighed softly and walked over to his clothing. He slowly dressed, making sure that everything was straight. He took a brush to his straight, damp hair. He made sure that every strand was where it should be. Rilyanassë, happy with his appearance, took a deep breath and left his room. He silently made his way back downstairs. He noted that Amara was no longer in the bathroom and walked towards the kitchen. "Rily, if you're thinking of running off again, I'll kick your ass!" Amara was yelling as he entered the room. He silently walked towards the girl. He was right behind her as she rose from the item she'd been digging in. She turned, as if looking for someone. He allowed a genuine smile grace his face. "Tell me, why would I have run off?" he asked softly. He was quite close to Amara and briefly wondered if he should move back a few steps. He ignored the thought, deciding that if Amara did not want him so close she would say so. His golden eyes were glued to the girl. He knew that he should have left. What if she truly did want to kill him? It would be quite easy for her if he continued staying with her. It was then that Rily truly realized how close that he was standing to Amara. He could have easily captured her lips with his own, if he so chose. Instead he opted for staring into her eyes. He wasn't sure where they stood with each other. The were enemies and should not be this attracted to one another. Rily could not help it. He did not feel at peace unless he was with her. "I am sorry for reacting the way that I did. We are taught to act..not think facing such a situation. It is obvious to me that you did not know." he softly, eyeing her closely. He wondered why she would have not known what she was. It seemed strange to Rily.

As Amara came up from the fridge, still only clad in her pink towel, she came nose to nose with Rily. Of course she jumped! He had startled her, but she regained her composer within moments and offered him a smile as he gave her one. "Tell me, why would I have run off?" He stood close enough to kiss, and her eyes couldn't help but drift to his soft and inviting lips. I don't know. Why'd you run off like a mad man on a death trip the first time? She chose to keep her thought to herself and enjoy the view he was giving her. "I am sorry for reacting the way that I did. We are taught to act..not think facing such a situation. It is obvious to me that you did not know." She didn't want to talk about that. All it seemed to do was upset him. As far as she was concerned, she was human. A regular girl, who owns a flower shop, and helps her dad run his bakery. Nothing extraordinary. Nothing that could fly around or hunt demons. Just a girl, and that's all she wanted to be.

Amara tenderly reached up to touch Rily's face, running her finger along his jawline. He was so handsome. "I'm still me," she said gently, and with it she offered a smile. "... can we try that again?" The words were whispered as she closed the space between them, setting her beer on the counter with one hand, the other wrapping around Rily. Once her hand was free from the beer, she brought it to his chest, passionately kissing him in a slow and tender way. Luckily, her boobs were big enough to hold the towel in place, at least for now. As soon as their lips met, fire shot through her veins once more. It was like taking a large, juicy bite into the forbidden fruit. She wanted to feel his teeth and nails against her skin, to feel the weight of him above her. Her heart raced in excitement and lust. If this was wrong, she didn't want to be right.

Watching as Amara reached towards him, Rilyanassë wasn't frightened..as he should have been. He found this odd. Everything that he'd ever been taught had been about staying alive no matter what kind of situation it was. He was not prepared for this, though. He'd never heard of a situation like theirs before. He wasn't sure if they should continue down the path that they had started down only moments before, out in the pool. He felt Amara's soft fingers gently running across his strong jaw. He stared at Amara, his golden eyes taking in her face. "I'm still me," Amara said gently, smiling. Rilyanassë knew that she was still her. What a silly thing to say. The only thing that was different was the fact that they were true enemies, now. What they had started earlier was unthought of..now it was completely forbidden. He wasn't even sure how his Mother would react if she found out. Rilyanassë's thoughts were cut short as Amara spoke. "... can we try that again?" Before the Demon even had a chance to answer the girl, Amara had already closed the distance between them. All thoughts of not continuing down the path that seemed to be ever pulling them together flew out of his mind the moment Amara's soft lips touched his. Rily's eyes closed as if on their own accord. He gently kissed her back.

The feeling of Amara's arm around him and her other hand upon his firm chest had brought back that strange feeling once again. She was already setting his body on fire. The Demon gently allowed for a bit more passion in his kisses, deepening their dance with each other. His gently placed a gentle hand upon the small of Amara's back, pulling her completely against his body so as to allow her to feel how much he truly wanted her. His other hand he gently trailed up her left arm and her neck, only stopping as he now held her beautiful face in his hand. Rilyanassë left Amara's lips, trailing gentle kisses down the right side of her soft neck. He remained there for a long moment, enjoying the feel of her skin. His hand left her face, trailing to her breast. He was amazed at how thick the material was that Amara had wrapped around her body. He wanted it gone, though would not do so just yet. He wondered how far she would allow them to get. Would her wings come back? The Demon would see past that. He would not run again. He returned to her soft lips, making sure that Amara was still tightly pressed against his body. His kisses were now as passionate as any being could ever hope for. He wanted her to understand that he cared for her deeply and not only wanted her body but her mind..her soul..her heart. He wasn't quite sure why he would want such things from Amara. All that he knew was that she was so very different from any other being that he'd ever been with before and that only made her even more special to him.

Amara felt herself melt against his steady chest as his lips ravaged her body. Feeling as though she were drunk off his kisses, she smiled against his mouth, enjoying the feel of his hands and lips on her. He smelled so wonderful, and Amara wished that she could just bottle up the smell and feel of him to save it for a rainy day... but she'd never need it, cause she was never letting him go again. The thought that they had known each other for only 48 hours crossed her mind and then was dismissed just as quickly as she felt his hands brush against the towel which served as her only clothing. When he pulled back for just a moment, she bathed in the ecstasy of his gaze. Wild, and hungry. It was almost as thought Amara had a new side of herself. A new side that was demanding and bold, sexy and hungry for Rily. Maybe it was the new Angel blood that coursed through her veins, or maybe it was the hunter gene that made her feel so feral. Whatever it was, she was enjoying the feel of power. She felt as though she could lift twenty cars with one hand. Adrenaline swan through her like fish on speed.

She wanted him. As if she could contain it no longer, her fingers began to tug at his clothing while they kissed. Her hands fumbled with his pants, loosening them while her mouth kept his attention. "I want you," she breathed, sinking to the floor and pulling him with her. Her towel fell open as she laid on the kitchen floor, feeling the cool tiles against the tops of her shoulders and the backs of her calves. She pulled him up over her, wrapping her legs around his waist as she let out a small simpering whimper. "Rily..."

When she woke up, she was curled against Rily's naked form and could feel a slick wetness between her thighs. She smiled and cuddled closer to him, ignoring the possible danger she could be in. She slowly let her eyes roam over his body, taking in his strange hair and his pale skin. He looked beautiful in the light of the windows that poured in over his chest from the sky light above them. She still felt a little weak, and time had completely escaped her. By the sky, it looked like the sun would be setting soon, and the kitchen was a bit of a disaster. Claw marks were on the counter and the cabinets. She grinned and closed her eyes, laying her head on his chest.

Rilyanassë's eyes were still closed although he was quite aware of his surroundings. Amara was still laying next to him upon the kitchen floor. Amara was snuggling closer to his naked body. The Demon allowed his arm to wrap around the girl that he'd fallen so hard for. He wanted to remain like this, their bodies so close. He loved feeling Amara's body and wondered that if they moved if he'd still be allowed to touch her. He pushed that thought from his mind. He shouldn't be thinking such things. He opened his golden eyes to look at Amara. Her eyes were closed, her eyes closed. She looked..happy, which made no sense to the Demon. They were on the run from the Hunters and the Light Beings and yet Amara seemed like she was exactly where she wanted to be.

As Rily lay with Amara, his gentle fingers making soothing motions upon her shoulder and back, the Demon thought about what he truly wanted. There was no way that he'd ever be allowed back into the Underworld. He could never harm Amara. He cared for her, more than he had anyone. The Demon had his eyes turned up to the ceiling, staring off. Could he be alright with staying upon the surface for the rest of his long life? Would Amara even want him around if he settled for being a surface dweller? Rily did not know and he didn't think that he could ever bring himself to ask the girl such a question. He turned his intense gaze back to Amara. She was everything that he could ever hope to have and yet they were so far apart. There were so many reasons that Rily should have left earlier when he'd found out what she was. He just couldn't bring himself to. As a Demon, he'd never really known love. Yes, he cared deeply for his Mother and yet what he was feeling for Amara was so much....more. Could this..this feeling that he'd been fighting and trying to figure out..could he be feeling love for Amara? It made no sense. He was a Demon. How was he able to feel such emotions? "We should probably get up." he said softly, hoping that Amara wasn't asleep. He felt that perhaps they should move, considering they'd been on the floor for some time. The Demon was confused and not completely sure how to act. Was this a one time thing or did Amara have feelings for him as he did her? Deciding to risk it, Rilyanassë placed a gentle kiss on the top of Amara's head, as if trying to tell her that he cared for her and really didn't want to move.

Amara groaned a little a Rily began to move. "We should probably get up." she heard him say. She felt a tender kiss on her forehead and she smiled warmly. "If we must," she sighed, slowly pulling herself up into a seated position. She looked around the kitchen, at the scratch marks on the floor and cabinets and grinned. She leaned over to him and planted a slow kiss on his lips before pulling herself into a standing position. Her legs nearly buckled from under her, having fallen asleep due to lack of activity. She squealed at the feeling of needles pricking her skin. "My legs are asleep," she giggled, holding onto the counter and gritting her teeth through tapping her feet against the floor to try and regain adequate blood circulation.

Once she could feel her legs again she padded into her room for some clothes, feeling like the AC in the house would freeze her into an ice cube if she didn't. She had just finished pulled on the last piece of her wardrobe when she felt a cloth pressed to her mouth. Alarmed, she gasped, and then everything went black...

Orin, a white female demon came strolling slowly out of Amara's room. Her fanged grin couldn't mean anything good. She found Rily in the house and let out a long hiss in greetings. "You think you could hide her from your father, Rilyanassë? Sssstupid boy.." the she-creature's words hissed from her fangs, and she looked to be thoroughly enjoying herself. "Tick-tock, little prince!" she laughed, fading into white smoke before his eyes, unattainable, because she was not really there. Amara was gone.

Amara awoke to the feeling of someone toying with her hair. She opened her eyes to come face to face with the king of demons. Her eyes grew wide, and she went to scream, but it was as if her mouth had been sewn shut. Fear gripped her as she looked down, noticing her wrists, ankles, and neck had been bound by chains. She looked around, past the face that loomed before her, to take in the throne room. Tears brimmed in her eyes. Rily... I'm scared..

Rily noted that Amara had been gone for some time. He had had plenty of time to dress and was now waiting on her. It was then that he heard something behind him. A voice he wished so badly that he was not hearing. "You think you could hide her from your father, Rilyanassë? Sssstupid boy.." Orin hissed at him. "Tick-tock, little prince!" She was gone, Amara with her, before the Prince could even react. He'd failed Amara. He was supposed to be able to protect her. Suddenly, something snapped inside Rilyanassë. He slowly began shifting. The pain seared through him as his bones and skin grew. Rage and hatred filled his mind. He now stood tall at seven feet, his true form was menacing and showed the reason why he was a dog in his animal form. The great Demon was quickly bounding out of the house, headed to the Underworld. Only one thought filled his mind..that he must kill the Demon King.

Sharkû was playing with the girl's hair, smiling evilly. "Tell me, little creature, how have you wrapped my son so tightly around your finger?" he asked, his deep voice resounding around the room. "I think we shall have you unspoiled for when he comes for you. He needs to learn a lesson." The Demon then called for some strange looking Demons into the room. He ordered them torture the girl as they wished. He only said that he wanted to be able to hear her screams from the tallest tower.

After the screams had stopped, Sartanis made her way into the throne room. Her eyes fell onto the poor girl. It looked as if the girl had been through years of torture. She felt pity for the child. She slowly approached the girl and kneeled before her. "Amara. Amara? I'm Sartanis. I'm not going to hurt you. Do you know why you're here?" she asked as she placed a pale hand upon Amara's head. She couldn't heal the girl but she could take away some of her pain.

Amara could hear something, a feminine voice wavering in and out of her conscious state of mind. Her name. "Amara. Amara?" She slowly rolled her head to the side, her watery blue hues taking in the blurry figure in front of her. Amara's eyes were almost swollen shut from the beatings she had taken. " I'm Sartanis. I'm not going to hurt you. Do you know why you're here?" The words seemed muffled and far away from her. Why was she here? Here? Hell? "Rily.." she whispered, her throat sore and dry from lack of water for what felt like days.

"Where's....Rily?" Her eyes slowly folded shut, feeling too heavy to keep open. She felt a hand being placed to her skin, the touch was cool despite the heat of the room. The thousands of tiny cuts all over her limbs and back continued to bleed, but the pain eased up just enough for Amara's eyes to come into focus. It really was Sartanis, the queen of her mother's stories. She would have smiled, if she could. I found her mom, she's real... She really is real...

Large wolf-like paws pounded against the ground as the world seemed to flash by the creature. Rilyanassë found the same entrance that he'd used not that long ago. He quickly entered and was sent back to the Underworld. As he quickly ran, there was only a few that was foolish enough to try and stop him. He'd quickly gotten rid of them. Rily no longer cared about being nice. He only wanted to rid the world of the Demon King. As the great palace loomed closer and closer, the Demon Prince slowed to a trot. Most were now moving out of his way. He entered into the throne room but stopped, eyeing the two women that were already there. Sartanis looked up. Sadness crossed her face. "Rilyanassë." she said. "Amara, you must listen to me. The reason that Rily and myself are more human like...is because we control everything that most Demons prize over anything else. We lock away all of our hurt. Our pain. Our anger. I've spent most of my lifetime teaching my son..and yet in only a few days you have somehow managed to work your way into his heart. I fear for him. His father will not be kind." Sartanis stayed with the girl, trying to heal her a bit more.

Sharkû had appeared as if out of thin air. He was glaring at the Demon that was standing near the entrance. "I knew that you come but not in this form. Do you care so much for this girl that you would forgo everything you swore that you'd never do?" Rily said nothing, only cocking his head to the side. The great flame colored horns that were upon his head seemed to glitter in the light. The two male Demons seemed to have a battle of wills for a few long moments. Both staring at the other. As if someone had one, Rily took off towards the larger Demon at a full run. Sharkû only waited for his son to reach him. They locked into battle with each other. Rily biting, clawing, and attempting to mortally wound his father with his horns. Sharkû had opted for using his great claws, trying to kill his only child. The two fought for a long time. What would seem like ages to a Human.

Sartanis was sitting beside of Amara. "This is madness. If they don't stop, they're going to kill each other." she said softly, almost as if she was talking to herself. She gently took Amara's hand and held it in her own. "If Rily is able to come out on top, I fear that he will never be the same. You, may be the only one that can save him. You will have to reach him. The true Rilyanassë. You will have to if you want him back. Otherwise he will remain in this form for forever." she said, frowning.

Blood was all over the great floor. Rily and his father was no longer close to each other, but Rily was growling loudly, scaring the few remaining lower Demons that had been watching. Without warning, Rily took off again at his father and latched onto the great Demon's throat. Sharkû knew that this was the end. He couldn't believe that he'd been bested by his son. As Rily stared at his father, he gave his great head a quick jerk. The Demon below him faded instantly, the life in his eyes disappearing. Rily released the dead Demon and released a great howl. It was wolf like and yet Demon like at the same time. As the sound stopped, Rily was eyeing his mother and Amara. He slowly began walking towards them. Sartnis quickly released Amara from her bonds. "Now, if you don't succeed he will kill us both." she said softly. As if not caring for the woman speaking, Rily let out a deep growl towards the two beings. He came to stand a few steps away, as if trying to decide how he wanted to kill them.
