Introduction
For many ages the two races fought each other. The Humans were forced into hiding from fear of being killed, or worse by the Demons. At long last, Sharkû was able to push his forces into the beautiful white palace of Aicecet. The darkly colored Demons marched through the palace, killing any in their way. Aicecet and Sharkû locked themselves into battle with each other. For many long days they fought without a killing blow being landed. All around them, their followers were fighting as well. As Sharkû was about to kill Aicecet, a woman threw herself in the way. The Demon regarded her for a long moment. It was his mate, Sartanis. Sartanis was a beautiful Demon who resembled more an Angel. For this reason, Sharkû had fallen in love with her. Why was his mate protecting the enemy. Sartanis explained that without the Angels, the Demons would perish. It was this woman who saved the world. She stopped her mate from killing the Angelic King. Aicecet was furious with Sharkû. For his evil doings, all of his kind was banished below ground. They would not be aloud above the earth unless it was approved by the Angelic King.
For many long years the Angels worked to rebuild what the Demons had destroyed on Earth. Once they'd finished the rebuilding, the Angels moved their palace to the skies, hidden from all. They continued to rule over the Humans as they had always done, but in a more godly manner.
The Demons had grown to prefer the deep darks of the world. The King's mate had finally bore him a son. This son was trained for many years in all arts so that one day he could retake what was rightfully theirs.
Angels: They are known as Light Beings or Angels by the Humans. They usually have lightly colored hair and eyes and have white feathered wings. Their height is between 5'5 and 5'9. They act as guardians to the Humans and protect them against the Demons. Angels have the abilities of; Light Energy attacks, Able to fly, able to heal themselves or others.
Demons: They are known only as Demons. They generally have black colored hair and red eyes. Most do not have wings but horns and fangs. Their height is between 5'0 and 5'5. They have come to leave the Angels alone but when they are able to escape their underground prison they like to torment the Humans. Demons have the ability to transform into an animal form making it easier to hide from the Angels and Humans when they need to. Other abilities; Dark energy attacks, able to fly(if born with wings), heal quickly, able to control others through mind control.
Humans: They are the most common race on the planet. They come in all sorts of different appearances and heights.
There are some slight variations between the races.
Our story starts with the Demons slowly becoming able to escape their prison and are beginning to torment the Humans. The Demon King's son is on the verge of being banished from the Demon Realm.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
He followed the direction that he heard Amara from. She must have really wanted to go swimming. She'd beaten him downstairs in record time. He walked outside of the house, seeings Amara already stepping into the pool. "It's only cold for a minute!" she said to the Demon. He was hesitating getting into the pool. He was used to intense heat and already he was cold. So if what Amara was saying, if he got into the pool he'd be even colder..even if it was just for a moment he wasn't so sure that he wanted to get in. As he was debating within himself, Rily met Amara's eyes. She was smiling at him, inviting him in to join her. No matter how much he wasn't looking forward to being any colder, he could suffer through it. "Who said being on the run couldn't be any fun? Hey, that rhymed!" Amara said. Rilyanassë smiled at Amara warmly, laughing at her lightly. "May I ask, how you know that I will not melt if I get into the pool? Perhaps I can only withstand water if I'm in my other form?" he asked, looking completely serious. He wondered what she would say. He walked to a spot a bit further than where Amara was in the pool. He was eyeing her, his eyes full of happiness. He gave her only a moment to think over his question before he took off running straight at the pool. He jumped into the cool water, touching the bottom of the pool. He opened his golden eyes underneath the water. He could see Amara. He quickly swam behind the girl and came up, strong arms wrapping around the girl. He was gazing at her now, eyes soft. His hair soaked, was hanging in his face. "I guess I am lucky. It seems that I have not melted." he said, laughing.
She turned her head at the last minute, to keep her eyes from getting sprayed with chlorine, and then looked anxiously at the water to see if her handsome demon had been replaced with some grotesque creature. He cut through the water with ease, and before she knew it, she felt his warm touch against her back, pulling her close to him. Her breasts pressed in against his chest, and she felt her waist gently brush against his at their closeness. "I guess I am lucky. It seems that I have not melted." She heard him laugh, a dark bubble from the center of his chest, and it made her smile. A hot blush was blooming in her cheeks at his closeness to her.
"Guess I'm lucky too," she said, watching as water drops fell from the tips of his soaked hair. "Cleaning you out of the filter system would have been a real pain in the ass." She grinned. She felt a sudden pull, as if he had a magnet in his chest that was set to high. She slowly moved her head closer to his, until her lips were just a breath away from his, and at the last moment, she looked away, blushing deeply. "I, um.. so... It's nice out today.." It's nice out today? Are you serious, Amara?! she mentally kicked herself.
Rilyanassë watched Amara for a moment longer. He then turned his eyes upon their surroundings, as if he was looking for something. He then returned his gaze to Amara. "Did you know that we don't have much water in the Underworld? It's too hot to be able to keep it there." he said, enjoying the feel of the water upon his skin. Although he had been quite cold when he'd first gotten in, he'd warmed up. He also noted that his side was no longer bothering him. He'd not payed it much attention the night before nor that morning. He looked down to see that the skin where the wound hand been was completely smooth, clear from any mark. This was good. He returned his eyes to Amara. He couldn't stop watching her. He was so intrigued by her. Why was it that he seemed to want to be near her and watch her all of the time?
"..It's too hot to be able to keep it there." he was explaining. She nodded and offered him a smile. "You left me, I got cold," she said playfully, as she pressed herself in against his chest. She purposefully meant to press her waist in against his, but played it off as if she didn't realize. "My mother loved coming here. She loved the beach, and the water, like me." It was just idle conversation, as her hand gently stroked his side. "I'm glad you're all healed.." She tipped her head back to look up into his face, taking in his strong features and his delicate mouth. "You have the most amazing eyes I've ever seen, Rily," she whispered, tendering reaching up to run her fingers through his hair.
Her heart fluttered in her chest with excitement. He was a demon. A real demon. He could kill her, right now, if he wanted to. Something about being the gem in the eye of a being that could easily murder towns full of people was thrilling. Now she knew why Bell had fallen for The Beast. He wasn't anything like the beast, though. He was already handsome, and kind. "You're amazing.." she whispered, and in the heat of the moment, she rose onto her tiptoes and pressed her lips into his. She stayed there for only a moment before she slowly pulled back, unsure if that's what he wanted or not. Tingling sensations danced up her spine. Kissing him was not like kissing other men. As if some sort of chemical had gone off at the contact of their lips, she felt as though she were slightly buzzed.
Rilyanassë felt the girl's smaller hand upon his smooth skin. He looked at her, trying to figure out what she was up to. "I'm glad you're all healed.." Amara said. "As am I. It took much longer than normal, though." he said, trying to hold himself together. He was quickly becoming nervous around Amara. He could not figure out her intentions. Now that Rily thought about it, perhaps this was a good thing. She kept him guessing. Rily watched as Amara seemed to take in his face, which wasn't hard considering that they were only an inch apart in height. "You have the most amazing eyes I've ever seen, Rily," Amara whispered as she tenderly ran her fingers through the Demon's strangely colored hair. Rilyanassë remained quiet, watching the girl in front of him. It wasn't long before she was speaking again. "You're amazing.." He watched as Amara rose and pressed her lips onto his. The kiss only lasted a short couple of seconds before Amara pulled away. Rily was surprised that she'd kissed him, especially after she hadn't only a few minutes before. What had changed? Why had she decided now that she wanted to be this close to him. He decided not to think for once. He knew that he should have told her that they couldn't go down this path. That they shouldn't allow such feelings to even develop. How they shouldn't allow themselves to act on such things. Rilyanassë smiled at Amara gently, his eyes softening towards the girl. He gently pressed his soft lips against Amara's, tentatively. He hoped that she would not be angry with him for kissing her. Of course, she had kissed him first. He gently pulled back, staring into her beautiful eyes. He was allowing her to move from him if she wished it. Rily then pressed his lips against Amara's again, with a bit more confidence. He continued giving Amara deep, passionate kisses. He loved the feeling of his lips against hers. His left hand had moved from her waist to rest against her soft neck, effectively keeping her pressed against him. Rily pulled just far enough from Amara to be able to speak, their noses still touching. "I promise you that I am not amazing, as you think. Though, I will settle for being me. I cannot imagine changing just to appease my father." he said softly, his eyes regarding Amara.
He was saying something to her, but she couldn't make out what it was. Her blue hues were watched him with a human hunger. "I cannot imagine changing just to appease my father." She heard him say. "Me either," she whispered back, regarding her father wanting to kill him and expecting her to want to do the same. She didn't notice it, but her markings had returned. Her entire body was glowing with majestic runes that she could not explain. If she took the time to actually look at them, she would find that she could read what they said, as if the language was encoded in her blood.
But she wasn't interested in runes right now, she couldn't be bothered with them in the slightest. She ran both of her hands up his chest, digging her nails lightly into his shoulder as she began kissing him again more fiercely this time. She could feel her heart beat between her thighs and her fingers itched as they gently clawed at his skin. She wanted to crawl inside of him, drink his essence and become one with him.
Unknown to Amara, what she was feeling was not only lust, but the lust of an Angel. All of her human attributes had been heightened since she triggered her Hunter gene. She now felt everything ten times as much as she normally would. Under a normal circumstance, Amara would never have been this close to someone after only knowing them for two days. But due to her new feelings, and the fact that he was so different from everything she'd ever known, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.
A part of her, somewhere in the back of her mind, was telling her that this was not a good thing. Nothing good could come out of her being with this demon. Why wouldn't she be a normal girl and go settle down with a normal man in a town house with a white picket fence and have babies and two dogs? She kissed him passionately, nibbling at his lip and pushing him into the wall of the pool aggressively. Because she didn't want that life. She wanted this one. A sexy, adventurous, dangerous life. With Rily.
One of her hands slowly ran up the back of his neck to grip his uniquely colored hair, while the other disappeared from view between their waists. No one was around to see anyway, but she liked the thrill of maybe getting caught. She pulled on his hair to expose his neck, where she trailed kisses and light nibbles, all the while her other hand went exploring below the water. She didn't feel anything, or notice, but blood from her back had mixed with the water, swirling in brilliant curls and wisps. Huge arch angel wings, white as snow, had silently slid from her back in her moment of passion. So absorbed in biting and sucking on his neck, she didn't even notice them.
Rilyanassë, for a reason unknown to him, opened his eyes to look at Amara. Something felt...off. He'd even thought that he smelled blood, which made no sense to him. He turned his eyes downward, seeing the cause of his confusion. From behind Amara's waist, Rilyanassë saw blood mixing with the water, gently floating out from the girl in his arms. Why was she bleeding? While continuing to allow the girl to have her way with his body, his golden eyes fixed upon the white wings that seemed to be coming out of Amara's back. Time seemed to slow down for Rilyanassë, then. In his mind, those wings meant only one thing and he needed to get away from them. Golden eyes fixed onto Amara. He, in the blink of an eye, was out of the pool and in his animal form. The Demon was staring the girl that he'd allowed so close to himself, confusion and pain written in his eyes. The large dog was snarling and growling softly at Amara, a warning to stay away. He resembled more a wolf in that moment, unpredictable and dangerous. His long canines protruded more than normal, his eyes starting to glow a bit. The house was behind Rily and he could have easily fled from Amara yet..something was holding him back. He couldn't figure out what it was and this angered him. Why wasn't he running as he'd been taught to do when meeting a being with white colored wings? Then, there was that strange feeling in his chest as he watched the girl. He wanted so badly to wake from this terrible dream. The one person he'd allowed so very close to him was the enemy. A foolish mistake and if his father ever found out the younger Demon would never hear the end of it.
Somehow, she managed to pull herself out of the water. Thankfully, she had only been waist deep. When she emerged from the watery depths, she was coughing, and paying no mind to the wolf on the other side of the pool. Suddenly Amara was acutely aware of the burning sensation of the chlorine in her open wound. She struggled to drag her wings through the water and to the other side of the pool, where she struggled to pull herself out of the water.
She managed to do so, finally, and laid on the tan concrete to rest. Her markings were sparkling in the sunlight that hit her. So they glow in the dark, and sparkle in the sun. Wonderful. How much bigger of a freak could I be turning into? I'm already half fucking bird... she thought bitterly to herself. Having wings almost made her drown a few seconds ago.
Why had Rily jumped away from her like that? Why was he growling at her? Slowly, as she looked into her reflection of the water, it dawned on her. She was one of them. An Angel. But how? She had never.... She didn't have time to think about that right now. "Rily, please, I'm sorry!" she called across the pool. Breathing heavily from her efforts in the water, she slowly pulled herself into a seated position. "I'm not going to hurt you, Rily, please.." she whimpered. Slowly, she started to cry. She didn't want to be an Angel, she didn't want to have wings, or runes, or for Rily to leave her.
She pulled her knees to her chest and wept with her head down. Slowly, the runes faded away, and the wings returned to their hiding place somewhere within her soul. She didn't notice any change, aside from her back feeling significantly lighter, and the pain slowly going away as her skin crawled together and stopped the bleeding. "I'm a monster..." she whimpered, holding her legs as close to her as possible. No wonder the Angels were hunting her. They wanted her to kill Rily and be like them. Well, she wouldn't be like them. She just wanted to be herself. Wasn't that enough?
The Demon could not understand. Why was she so upset? Amara was still crying, now into her knees. The Demon watched as the markings and the wings disappeared. Rilyanassë slowly stopped growling and snarling. He was feeling no threat from Amara and thought that perhaps it was safe to calm himself. "I'm a monster..." she said. The Demon slowly and silently made his way to Amara. She had not seemed to notice him. He cautiously approached the girl from the side, eyeing her. He knew that he couldn't shift to comfort her as she would most likely say something about his lack of clothes. Instead, he gently pushed his soft canine head under her arm, effectively making it so that she had to look at him. He was partially standing in her lap now, staring into Amara's face. He wanted her to look at him. He gently began to lick her beautiful face, as if trying to apologize for reacting the way he had. She had only startled him and his natural instincts had kicked in. He wanted to tell her so badly that she was no monster. That if either of them were, it was Rilyanassë. Stopping his licking, the Demon gently rested his furry forehead against Amara's shoulder. He wanted so badly to hear her voice, for her to stop crying. He could not think of any other way to get her to stop besides remain so very close to her.
Amara slowly pulled herself off the cement and walked back towards the glass sliding door, opening the door for him to go in, and then closing it with her inside. At once she felt goose bumps race across her skin. It was even colder in here, and her everything was soaking wet. She walked into the bathroom, forgetting to close the door, and peeled off her bathing suit. She hung it up and turned on the shower, stepping in and closing the misty glass door. Fog rolled from the top of the shower as she pulled her hair out of the bun and washed herself clean of the blood and chlorine.
"Why me, mom?" she said into the water that cascaded down around her. After she was done bathing herself, she stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel. Drying herself off as best she could, then wrapping the pink towel around her body, she padded out into the kitchen. She needed a beer. "Rily, if you're thinking of running off again, I'll kick your ass!" she called as she dug through the fridge for a beer. She came out with what she was looking for, and she turned to see if he was there.
He sighed softly and walked over to his clothing. He slowly dressed, making sure that everything was straight. He took a brush to his straight, damp hair. He made sure that every strand was where it should be. Rilyanassë, happy with his appearance, took a deep breath and left his room. He silently made his way back downstairs. He noted that Amara was no longer in the bathroom and walked towards the kitchen. "Rily, if you're thinking of running off again, I'll kick your ass!" Amara was yelling as he entered the room. He silently walked towards the girl. He was right behind her as she rose from the item she'd been digging in. She turned, as if looking for someone. He allowed a genuine smile grace his face. "Tell me, why would I have run off?" he asked softly. He was quite close to Amara and briefly wondered if he should move back a few steps. He ignored the thought, deciding that if Amara did not want him so close she would say so. His golden eyes were glued to the girl. He knew that he should have left. What if she truly did want to kill him? It would be quite easy for her if he continued staying with her. It was then that Rily truly realized how close that he was standing to Amara. He could have easily captured her lips with his own, if he so chose. Instead he opted for staring into her eyes. He wasn't sure where they stood with each other. The were enemies and should not be this attracted to one another. Rily could not help it. He did not feel at peace unless he was with her. "I am sorry for reacting the way that I did. We are taught to act..not think facing such a situation. It is obvious to me that you did not know." he softly, eyeing her closely. He wondered why she would have not known what she was. It seemed strange to Rily.
Amara tenderly reached up to touch Rily's face, running her finger along his jawline. He was so handsome. "I'm still me," she said gently, and with it she offered a smile. "... can we try that again?" The words were whispered as she closed the space between them, setting her beer on the counter with one hand, the other wrapping around Rily. Once her hand was free from the beer, she brought it to his chest, passionately kissing him in a slow and tender way. Luckily, her boobs were big enough to hold the towel in place, at least for now. As soon as their lips met, fire shot through her veins once more. It was like taking a large, juicy bite into the forbidden fruit. She wanted to feel his teeth and nails against her skin, to feel the weight of him above her. Her heart raced in excitement and lust. If this was wrong, she didn't want to be right.
The feeling of Amara's arm around him and her other hand upon his firm chest had brought back that strange feeling once again. She was already setting his body on fire. The Demon gently allowed for a bit more passion in his kisses, deepening their dance with each other. His gently placed a gentle hand upon the small of Amara's back, pulling her completely against his body so as to allow her to feel how much he truly wanted her. His other hand he gently trailed up her left arm and her neck, only stopping as he now held her beautiful face in his hand. Rilyanassë left Amara's lips, trailing gentle kisses down the right side of her soft neck. He remained there for a long moment, enjoying the feel of her skin. His hand left her face, trailing to her breast. He was amazed at how thick the material was that Amara had wrapped around her body. He wanted it gone, though would not do so just yet. He wondered how far she would allow them to get. Would her wings come back? The Demon would see past that. He would not run again. He returned to her soft lips, making sure that Amara was still tightly pressed against his body. His kisses were now as passionate as any being could ever hope for. He wanted her to understand that he cared for her deeply and not only wanted her body but her mind..her soul..her heart. He wasn't quite sure why he would want such things from Amara. All that he knew was that she was so very different from any other being that he'd ever been with before and that only made her even more special to him.
She wanted him. As if she could contain it no longer, her fingers began to tug at his clothing while they kissed. Her hands fumbled with his pants, loosening them while her mouth kept his attention. "I want you," she breathed, sinking to the floor and pulling him with her. Her towel fell open as she laid on the kitchen floor, feeling the cool tiles against the tops of her shoulders and the backs of her calves. She pulled him up over her, wrapping her legs around his waist as she let out a small simpering whimper. "Rily..."
When she woke up, she was curled against Rily's naked form and could feel a slick wetness between her thighs. She smiled and cuddled closer to him, ignoring the possible danger she could be in. She slowly let her eyes roam over his body, taking in his strange hair and his pale skin. He looked beautiful in the light of the windows that poured in over his chest from the sky light above them. She still felt a little weak, and time had completely escaped her. By the sky, it looked like the sun would be setting soon, and the kitchen was a bit of a disaster. Claw marks were on the counter and the cabinets. She grinned and closed her eyes, laying her head on his chest.
As Rily lay with Amara, his gentle fingers making soothing motions upon her shoulder and back, the Demon thought about what he truly wanted. There was no way that he'd ever be allowed back into the Underworld. He could never harm Amara. He cared for her, more than he had anyone. The Demon had his eyes turned up to the ceiling, staring off. Could he be alright with staying upon the surface for the rest of his long life? Would Amara even want him around if he settled for being a surface dweller? Rily did not know and he didn't think that he could ever bring himself to ask the girl such a question. He turned his intense gaze back to Amara. She was everything that he could ever hope to have and yet they were so far apart. There were so many reasons that Rily should have left earlier when he'd found out what she was. He just couldn't bring himself to. As a Demon, he'd never really known love. Yes, he cared deeply for his Mother and yet what he was feeling for Amara was so much....more. Could this..this feeling that he'd been fighting and trying to figure out..could he be feeling love for Amara? It made no sense. He was a Demon. How was he able to feel such emotions? "We should probably get up." he said softly, hoping that Amara wasn't asleep. He felt that perhaps they should move, considering they'd been on the floor for some time. The Demon was confused and not completely sure how to act. Was this a one time thing or did Amara have feelings for him as he did her? Deciding to risk it, Rilyanassë placed a gentle kiss on the top of Amara's head, as if trying to tell her that he cared for her and really didn't want to move.
Once she could feel her legs again she padded into her room for some clothes, feeling like the AC in the house would freeze her into an ice cube if she didn't. She had just finished pulled on the last piece of her wardrobe when she felt a cloth pressed to her mouth. Alarmed, she gasped, and then everything went black...
Orin, a white female demon came strolling slowly out of Amara's room. Her fanged grin couldn't mean anything good. She found Rily in the house and let out a long hiss in greetings. "You think you could hide her from your father, Rilyanassë? Sssstupid boy.." the she-creature's words hissed from her fangs, and she looked to be thoroughly enjoying herself. "Tick-tock, little prince!" she laughed, fading into white smoke before his eyes, unattainable, because she was not really there. Amara was gone.
Amara awoke to the feeling of someone toying with her hair. She opened her eyes to come face to face with the king of demons. Her eyes grew wide, and she went to scream, but it was as if her mouth had been sewn shut. Fear gripped her as she looked down, noticing her wrists, ankles, and neck had been bound by chains. She looked around, past the face that loomed before her, to take in the throne room. Tears brimmed in her eyes. Rily... I'm scared..
Sharkû was playing with the girl's hair, smiling evilly. "Tell me, little creature, how have you wrapped my son so tightly around your finger?" he asked, his deep voice resounding around the room. "I think we shall have you unspoiled for when he comes for you. He needs to learn a lesson." The Demon then called for some strange looking Demons into the room. He ordered them torture the girl as they wished. He only said that he wanted to be able to hear her screams from the tallest tower.
After the screams had stopped, Sartanis made her way into the throne room. Her eyes fell onto the poor girl. It looked as if the girl had been through years of torture. She felt pity for the child. She slowly approached the girl and kneeled before her. "Amara. Amara? I'm Sartanis. I'm not going to hurt you. Do you know why you're here?" she asked as she placed a pale hand upon Amara's head. She couldn't heal the girl but she could take away some of her pain.
"Where's....Rily?" Her eyes slowly folded shut, feeling too heavy to keep open. She felt a hand being placed to her skin, the touch was cool despite the heat of the room. The thousands of tiny cuts all over her limbs and back continued to bleed, but the pain eased up just enough for Amara's eyes to come into focus. It really was Sartanis, the queen of her mother's stories. She would have smiled, if she could. I found her mom, she's real... She really is real...
Sharkû had appeared as if out of thin air. He was glaring at the Demon that was standing near the entrance. "I knew that you come but not in this form. Do you care so much for this girl that you would forgo everything you swore that you'd never do?" Rily said nothing, only cocking his head to the side. The great flame colored horns that were upon his head seemed to glitter in the light. The two male Demons seemed to have a battle of wills for a few long moments. Both staring at the other. As if someone had one, Rily took off towards the larger Demon at a full run. Sharkû only waited for his son to reach him. They locked into battle with each other. Rily biting, clawing, and attempting to mortally wound his father with his horns. Sharkû had opted for using his great claws, trying to kill his only child. The two fought for a long time. What would seem like ages to a Human.
Sartanis was sitting beside of Amara. "This is madness. If they don't stop, they're going to kill each other." she said softly, almost as if she was talking to herself. She gently took Amara's hand and held it in her own. "If Rily is able to come out on top, I fear that he will never be the same. You, may be the only one that can save him. You will have to reach him. The true Rilyanassë. You will have to if you want him back. Otherwise he will remain in this form for forever." she said, frowning.
Blood was all over the great floor. Rily and his father was no longer close to each other, but Rily was growling loudly, scaring the few remaining lower Demons that had been watching. Without warning, Rily took off again at his father and latched onto the great Demon's throat. Sharkû knew that this was the end. He couldn't believe that he'd been bested by his son. As Rily stared at his father, he gave his great head a quick jerk. The Demon below him faded instantly, the life in his eyes disappearing. Rily released the dead Demon and released a great howl. It was wolf like and yet Demon like at the same time. As the sound stopped, Rily was eyeing his mother and Amara. He slowly began walking towards them. Sartnis quickly released Amara from her bonds. "Now, if you don't succeed he will kill us both." she said softly. As if not caring for the woman speaking, Rily let out a deep growl towards the two beings. He came to stand a few steps away, as if trying to decide how he wanted to kill them.
