Introduction
We offer are sirvices in the extermination of Demon Lords, Demons, and gools. Price is negosheated after our job is done and successfull. And remember, you must be kind to your tormentors. Send them a Fruit Basket!
Above is a typical add that the Fruit Basket Agency puts up around train stations and such. This is because the land they live in is plagued by Demons. This is also because the person in the team who types up the add has crap spelling. It was not always like this, a little over a generation ago Demons and Humans lived in complete harmony, a little over a generation ago actually. But some sort of thing that can only be described as a plague has reaped chaos on the peaceful co-existence. Demons have started to become crazed, unexplainable anger and hatred turns them into beasts. As a result they have become innately…evil. Some turn into animalistic beings with no bearing on their minds, while others into agents of greed and chaos. These Demons have done horrible things to entire villages and are now feared. But sin has crossed both sides, as Half Demons have fallen victim to a fear crazed society. Hated and even hunted, no Half Demon is left unscarred. But a group calling themselves the Fruit Basket angecy has gathered together as a hired blade business. If you have a demon problem, they can solve it. For a price that is.
Demons: Demons are a race that have superior strength, speed, and abilities to that of humans. Many of them are also born with a slight ability, nothing too big. Very limited telekinesis or becoming invisible for a short period of time for instance are some of the things they have been known to do. They have colored hair and eyes that range from white to green and any other unusual color. It is not uncommon for their eyes to be the same color as their hair, they also have pointed ears. Like any race they have their own high society and aristocratic ways. Strangely enough those in high society have retained relative sanity become rulers over hordes of other demons. Most Demons have become infected by this ‘plague’, but those who aren’t are usually killed by humans fearing that they might. Those who have been infected group in places where they have either taken over a human town or where they have their own sanctuary. Their is one demon believed to be in charge of a large number of them, little is known about him other than the fact that he can somehow possess very strong and seemingly unlimited powers.
Ghouls: Since the plague hit the terror hasn’t stopped at crazed Demons. If you manage to kill one of them then it will reanimate into a Ghoul within the hour. Ghouls are ugly S.O.Bs. They are mutated beasts that are harder to kill than a Demon. No amount of Mutilation will stop a Demon from reforming into these creatures. Instead a different approach is needed to ensure that dead Demons stay dead. The Fruit Basket Agency is extremely strong, but fighting a horde of Demons twice and having them be stronger than the first time is far too much for them to handle. Hence the importance of Monks.
Humans: Feh, you all know what humans can and can't do. But I will explain the sort of people they've become at the very least. There are those who make their living as a mercenary (most don’t make it past age thirty though), there are the rich who often keep watch over a town or sort, they run things and make sure the trade and economy goes well, there are common people, doctors, teachers, farmers, painters etc. And then there are the monks.
Monks:Peaceful and wise, these temple dwellers are dwindling into few due to their non-combatant nature. They are scholars and philosophers, pioneers to the spirit and world of science. You’d be surprised at what they have found out about souls and energy. For instance, they are aware that Ghouls turn because their soul is trapped inside the body still. A spirit screaming to be released, the monks hold many mystical abilities, and they added one to their arsenal. Monks can release the spirit of a Ghoul even before they turn. The temples have taken notice of the Fruit Basket Agency and have sent monks to help. The monk that they send acts as transportation, cook, and releases the souls of Demons before they turn to Ghouls after the agency kills them. In return the agency offers shelter and protection while the monk investigates the plague to try and stop it at the source. This is really a genial trade off, or would be if the agency actually kept up their end of the bargain. The main temple has sent a total of twelve high level monks to the agency; each is usually dead within three months. It is suspected that this is due to the agencies over all apathy to human life. So for the thirteenth monk, the temple has a surprise trump card that they hope will be able to solve this strange plague once and for all.
Halflings: With one parent a human and the other Demon, these beings are a cross between the two. They are not very common, for although Demons and humans lived together in peace, it was not often that they fell in love. Those who did had hybrid offspring. Hybrids have always had a scientific advantage, they are stronger, faster, and more durable, they can hear better, see better and last but not least their hair and eye color is brighter than their Demon parent. The exception to their strength is that they do not have the special ability or power that their Demon half often possess. They are also unaffected by the plague completely. That has not stopped them from being ostracized unfortunately. Since the plague Half Demons are often mobbed and lynched on sight, If the people are mellow then they at least harass the poor soul. Many harbor a deep and boiling bitterness and hate towards humans and Demons alike, since neither side will accept them. The Fruit Basket Agency seems to be the exception to people, it took a few free assignments to build themselves a rep, but they did. Now people aren’t stupid enough to let prejudices override their survival instincts, they holler at the first sign of infected demon attacks. Although the Agency has been known to charge through the teeth for their service, failure to pay results in death.

Re: [OOC] Fruit Basket agency
Call Sign : Agent Dragonfruit
Age 20
Role: FB mercenary (second in command)
Clothing Usually wears a somewhat tatterd purple shawl which covers his armor beneath him (Armor is a gunmetalish grey with various scratches from battles)
Abilities ) Has very fast reflexes. Generally is a very accomplished soldier, can use a variety of weapons. Has a bevy of tactical knowledge, and was raised to not be just a fighter but a scholar as well is proficient in mathematics and science.
Weapons A Black one handed sword. Shield and a bow
Alignment: At the moment he is unsure of where he stands. Generally will help those who cannot help themselves. Concurrently he is a mercenary who will do a range of "questionable jobs"
Personality A quiet man, introverted and shy. If someone speaks he will respond. Needs someone to open up first before he can. Very skeptical of others. But when he believes he can trust someone he will do anything for them. Certainly doesnt seem too fond of trusting anyone aside from halflings at the moment.
Background (would like to reveal more as the RP proceeds) Essentially was born in in a small area known as Antioch. Was raised to be a soldier and became one. However due to a certain event was banished from his home and now has these same individuals out for his head. Currently now survives by living as a mercenary for hire. He's tried to keep his feelings neutral on Humans or Demons, however he's seen enough of brutality from both sides to ensure that he appreciates not exactly being one or the other. Through his adventures he heard of the FB agency and figured it'd be a good place to refine his skills....and make a decent living.
Re: [OOC] Fruit Basket agency
Name: Agent Banana
Position: Fruit Basket Agent
His Story 'Til Now:
This Halfling has been around. And by around, I mean he nearly gets himself killed on a weekly basis. But besides that, his childhood was similar to any other Halfling’s. Of course there was ridicule, and the one time when his family awoke to their house being half way made into a bonfire. But his parents always had smiles on their faces, despite all of the prejudice around them. I guess their confidence rubbed off on him, but maybe a little too much. Growing up, Karsh’s parents discovered that he had amazing speed and accuracy with ranged weapons, so his demon mother began teaching him. Thus began “Karsh the Blind Eye”. The Fruit Basket Agency has been around a while and it seemed like the mutations of demons were starting to get widespread. Karsh, the momma’s boy he was (don’t say that to his face), decided to join up so his mother wouldn’t get infected. Soon after taking up the codename “Banana”, he began travelling the land, eliminating demon after demon, to eliminate the curse and rid it of this world.
Personality:
Happy most of the time, but one thing that sets him apart from most people is the fact that he believes he can do anything, and I mean anything if he tries hard enough. The odd part is that he usually accomplishes what is set for him. He is stubborn, loud, and on occasion, just plain scary. But he is a soft hearted momma’s boy at heart and it might take a bit to find that mushy center beyond the jagged edges. He will treat others just how they treat him. If you yell at him, expect to be yelled back at, but ten times worse. The same goes for kindness, be nice and he will be a true friend for life. You never know what will come from this strong willed Halfling.
Weapons:
Long Bow, Shortbow, Quiver with plenty of arrows
Extras:
Silver Locket with his mother’s photo inside (locked)

[npc]
The God/Geova
This Demon has only been sighted on rare occasions. Or at least ducumented of a sighting, if anyone sees him it usually means their death. Hiro and his team of Monks were amongst the few to see him and live to document the occurance. It happened on the one time that Hiro and his team were in a village that was being saved(for a price)by the Fruit Basket Agency. The beginning of the Monk's negotiations with the team. On this document however, there isn't much to tell.
"He seemed to sit on a throne and stare off into the distance while battle ensued in front of him, completely unperterbed by anything at all. Not even watching the scene. The thing was though, he gave off this sort of aura that can only be described as a sadistic godlike individual. At the wave of his finger half of his demons would stop, he'd sigh and get up, walking off, and 'his' Demons would fallow, picking up his throne as if they were his servants. Leaving the rest to die at the hands of the Agency."
On Hiro's next sighting of this Demon boy, he met his demise.
pc
Bodyguard/Hera
[i]Hera fallows 'young' Geova wherever he goes, she is his bodyguard at the moment. But he seems to be rather attatched to her, as if she is some sort of inside joke to himself. He has her treat him like a precious son, and she fallows his every command to the letter. The woman herself is rather cold and ruthless, like most crazed aristocratic Demons she is a bloodthirsty sadist.[i]

{lPut your agent name, not real name, in the name slot ex: Agent bananna, cherry, strawberry etc.}
Name:
Monks do not have names to symboloze the letting go of all things worldly, but now that she is deffinetly not a technical Monk anymore (she is holding onto a goal) then she may take a name, although she hasn't particularly thought about it.
Position:
Monk Agent
My Sob Story:
Her story is not necessarily sob worthy. Or at least as sob worthy as other halfling stories are, but it is interesting. It starts with a man and woman, well, a Monk and a Demon woman.
The man’s name is Hiro, and he is one of the best, if not the best, of the Monks. But he finds himself in love with a woman whose emerald eyes he wishes to stare into for the rest of enernity. Monks are not permitted to marry, they do not hold onto anything worldly, it distracts from the path to true enlightment. Their love story is a sweeping drama that I leave for another time and lace. The end results in him leaving the main temple and starting his life anew as a happy husband. The couple have one child, a baby girl with hair and eyes the color of the purest green. Their life seems like a happy one, until the plague hits, the mother is amongst the first and is hit with the worst of it. Though instead of killing her family she finds some sort of will power to run away instead. Hiro takes his daughter to the main temple and reports the incident, fully intending to fix it. Bringing this information to the attention of the Monks, he asked to be reinstated. But the Monks could not officially do so due to the fact that he was holding onto something worldly, his love for his wife and for his child. But at the same time they needed the best and brightest on this dilema. They set him up with a team, him as the leader.
Hiro’s daughter in the meantime is left at the temple to train as a monk, the first and only halfling to do so. Monks, as an enlightened people, were not holders of silly things such as prejudices. For her own safety she stayed within the confines of the temple for the better part of her life. Her father visited her maybe a day or two every few months. During his risky investigations and expiraments he found the reason for Ghouls turning and developed a way to stop them. He died before finding a ‘cure’ or finding the source. His daughter was 16 when she got the news. His body (or what was left of it) was burried at the temple.
Hir’s daughter, as expected, had been a rising star amongst the Monks. Not only was she motivated to be as good as her father, but biologically it was much easier for her to access her spiuritualy energies.
After her father’s death she became angry that she had never been let outside. She wanted to desperately pick up where he had left off, to make sure that his death was not in vain, to find the beautiful woman he so loved and was her mother. At the time the Fruit Basket Agency had been around for half a year, and the Monks had begun opening relations with them. All of the high level Monks that have been sent over there have actually been sacrifices, each had known that they would not survive for long in a house full of apathetic protectors. But it was necessary that they still go, both to buy time for Hiro’s daughter to train for the important position, and to make sure that the Fruit Basket Agency is seen as important to the Monks, otherwise humans may have already been wiped out. She is ready now, how will the team react to this surprise?
My Personality:{/b]
She is a monk in every sense personality wise. She is a deep thinker, and compassionate helper, and a calm and understanding individual. She is also wise and intelligent, she has been training to be so her whole llife. Though she can be hard headed and unrealistic when it comes to the demands she makes of herself. She is completely devoted to finding a way to end the plague that has taken the happiness of so many.
She is quite nieve, seeing as how she has never been outside of a temple (eccept on transportation excersises), and is very gulible. She doubts herself a lot. And has no sense of humor or fun. Not that she isn’t capable, she doesn’t doesn’t know it even exists.
{b]Weapon:
Does not have one.
[b]Extras:{/b]
This is the locket that her father gave to her when she was ten. She has never been able to open it though. She wears it every day, never taking it off.

I am looking for those who wish to play as part of the mercenary team known as the Fruit Basket agency, they call themselves the fruit basket angecy because they claim code names as fruit...and its funny as hell to yell out "WHO ORDERED A FRUIT BASKET BITCHES!" into a crowd of demons. I need a team leader, second in command, and three others. I will be playing a different sort of halfling character who's profile you will be seeing within the next couple of days. If you are interested in joining this rp then please msg me with your username, the number of times a week you can post, the position in team you want, and a sample of your writing( for instance a link to a recent or current rp you are in) so that I can make sure you aren't some noob who writes one liners, but won't bore us to death with a novel. Thank you and have a nice day.
