         Not paying any attention to the fox-masked girl, The Biz ran out of the alley to see the thug running out of his reach.

         "Anything else you got?" Tesla asked.

While Tesla was talking with Kotonoha, Connor noticed Jigsaw nodding off.

"What's wrong?" he asked. "Didn't get enough sleep last night?"

         "Awww..." Valentin groaned, dejected. "Fine, f...forget I said anything." With that, he was heading down the road...

         "Man, if I didn't know any better, I'd say the good stuff was already taken," Andy mused as they continued down the next flight of stairs.

         "I suppose you'll manage on your own now?" Reginald asked Jagger.

"I think so," Jagger replied, treading carefully with his recently-treated leg.

"Then I must be on my way back to Her Majesty. I'm certain that she'll want these news sooner than later. Until we meet again!"

Reginald gave a bow and then vanished in a dark blur. All by himself, Jagger took a moment to reflect on what happened today.

"({sigh} Dangerous times for all...)"

         In the arena, Zenmei was practicing one more Fortune power - something called Yokai Sense, where he becomes more receptive to his surroundings, as if everything around was in slow-motion. To practice this, Orion started by throwing small balls at Zenmei, who leaned away from them without lifting his feet off the ground.

"Heh...!"

Orion then ran at Zenmei, thrusting punches and kicks at him quickly. Reacting to this through Yokai Sense, Zenmei dodged these without moving his feet.

"Doin' good, man! Now...!"

Orion then jumped back, aiming his bow and firing a fast succession of arrows toward Zenmei. With Yokai Sense, he was able to dodge a few of them...but they were still coming very fast, and he ended up getting struck in the arm by one. Frantic, he jumped away from the rest, fleeing from them...until he tripped, of course.

"That...didn't go well," Zenmei groaned.

"{sigh} Well, don't worry none," Orion said, stowing his bow. "You are just starting out, after all."

"But really, your bow?" Zen continued as he lifted himself off the ground. "You're too good with that! I'd hardly call it a fair Level 3 training tool - more like...like Level 9."

         Claire and Khorshid came inside to discuss this matter further.

"I...was aware that Haven had only recently started cracking down on anyone with 'unusual' abilities," Claire continued, "but I never imagined that such a facility existed there all this time! It's just...abominable!"

Outside, something raccoon-shaped was skulking through the bushes...

         Chick wasn't sure he'd get much else from Jerry, frantic as he is.

"I...think I'm done here for now," Chick said, getting up from his chair and leaving this room. He's en route to the interrogation room where Dick is seated.

         Phoebus draped the broken spacecraft in some sort of veil for the time being. The veil bent light around itself, making it and the spacecraft within look invisible.

"Now then...We should see if we can rendezvous with Orion," Phoebus explained. "Assuming he hasn't left Fantasma already, of course."

"Roger!" Myaku said with a salute. Then, they set off for Mt. Moon.

However, somewhere in the area is Fawful, who was spying on Myaku and Phoebus.

"Nihehehehe...!" he chuckled. "What brings the dwellers of the great golden rice cake to this dry crust? This is worth a look-into! Look out, fink-rats! Fawful's coming for you!"

With that, he pursued on his rocket platform.

         "(!) Oh my!" Rarity exclaimed. "I've got to get back to designing, double-time!" With that, she rushed back to the Carousel Boutique.

"(!) I can't let Rarity get overwhelmed with double-time!" Spike reacted, following Rarity to give her a hand.

"(!!!) That reminds me!" Pinkie Pie shouted. "I need to recalibrate my party cannon! Otherwise, the fireworks could get wonky!" So she hurried back to Sugarcube Corner.

         "Hmmm..." Luna said. "Something we should probably go to Senzai to answer."

"So let's go already!" Rainbow Dash said, hopping on her hoof-tips impatiently. "You coming, Li'l Pink?"

"I'm sorry to ask this of you on such short notice, Twilight," Celestia said, "but I'll need you present with us at the meeting of world leaders tomorrow. We'll all need to voice our concerns over Haven's recent actions."

"I understand, Princess Celestia," Twilight said, giving a courteous bow with her head.

Meanwhile, Xi was curious about the green figure standing idly by...

         Mario led the way out of Kinoko. The purple-capped girl seemed to be following...

         "(!) E-Eh...I ain't afraid of a freak like you!" Dedede shouted, trying to keep his wits about as he reared his hammer over his shoulder. "But I guess you can handle a face full o' my hammer. Here it comes!"

He rushed at the strange purple creature, but as he swung his hammer at her, she vanished in a static blur, making Dedede miss, swing the hammer in a circle, and fall onto his chest. The thing reappeared in front of Dedede, this time shaped like...him??

"IM GONNA GET U ASSHOLE"

She then smacked her replica hammer into Dedede's face multiple times, smushing him against the floor each time.

"Ow - ! Ow - ! Ow - ! Ow - ! Ow - !"

         A reddish-colored rabbit was sitting at one table by himself, reading a paper. It detailed the existence of bug-like monsters coming out of the ruins of Bacaina and attacking the areas around, and how they tend to mimic other fighters. That last bit got him really intrigued...

         Garrison shoots Leilanie a dirty look before letting go of her, quickly turning to the duplicate. Forcing a smile, the real Garrison puts his free hand under his chin and stares, occasionally tilting his head from side to side, as if admiring a mirror's reflection.

"Oh, you wound me, truly! I was just trying to get the lady's attention, I can assure you," replied Garrison. "We've met before, you see, so I was curious to know the details behind how she ended up here."

         The properties demonstrated by the gateway surprised Eirlys. Well, not as much as usual - it wouldn't be shocking to see some kind of dimensional artifact buried under any of Yuyake's isles.

         "Perfect~!" Kotonoha responded. "Oh, I know this will be the best event yet!"

With that, she leads Connor and Tesla toward the gym.

         Tempo skated off with the others towards Arsenal Cove, while Cole and Rita running behind, trying to keep up.

         Crane flinches. That word choice had to be deliberate. Was Sockie really playing on his determination to uncover Majestic? Or... was he with Majestic? He turned to the officer, who nodded, and simply hung up. He found that crazy people calling the police station like to think they're in control, and hanging up on them rattles them.

"Sending a squad down there now, sir," said the officer.

"How long until we can get military?" asked Crane.

"An hour, if we're lucky," said the officer.

"Better hope we're lucky, then," said Crane, suiting up.

         With a wave of his hand, Dr. Y rushes out of the Corona spaceship, the rest of his Platoon following.

"Can you hear me?" said Dom into his communicator.

"Loud and clear," came another voice on the comm.

"We didn't do anything that would shut off the power, would we?" asked Dom.

"Negative, sir," said the voice.

"Then something else is on board," said Dom. "So split up and find it!"

"Are you sure that's a good idea, sir?" asked the voice. "It's dark, and we'd do a lot better in a group so whatever's onboard can't pick us off..."

"... Point taken," said Dom. "Split into teams of two and fan out!"

"Is that much better, sir?" asked the voice.

"And one of you head for the generator room and get the damn lights back on!" continued Dom.

         "...Feh."

Brimir headed back toward Corona.

         One of the falling chunks heads straight for Fatum... who, without opening his eyes, just takes two steps to the left to dodge. It's right about now that Colonel and his troops come back.

"What's going on?" asked Colonel.

"I believe it's high time we made our exit," said Fatum.

Without any further words of explanation from Fatum, Colonel picks him up, pulls out a thin, cloth-like piece of rope, and ties Fatum to his back before rushing out of the temple base, along with several Pokémon. The rest do their best to hold the temple up and give them time to escape.

         The rest of the group followed Claire into the dream portal.

         An attack had just occurred to the Rarofiore citadel. The second Minil-Lurker had arrived and used the nuclear energy it soaked up to blast the city apart, destroying its walls and buildings, and killing any living thing in sight. It had already reduced almost all of the city to rubble when its form was starting to revert to normal (being away from the real Lurker for so long). Now, it was back to its regular Minil state.

Camilia flew in at this point, and cleaved the bug into thin air with her scarf-blades. However, she was still too late to save the city.

"(!) No...!"

The once-proud Rarofiore was left in ruins by the Minil. Too many of its people were rendered dead. Those that were fortunate enough to survive were wounded, desolate, or both.

         Either way, Camilia's left puzzled by that statement.

Just then, to the norhteast, a large explosion was heard!

"(!) What now..??" Camilia reacted, taking off for the source of the explosion.

         "Let's go," Mike said as followed Jigsaw to the gym.

         With nothing to interrupt his digging, Quercus manages to exhume the cave entrance and hurries inside, just as a light blizzard starts to stir up around the mountains.

Once in the cave proper he proceeds to unpack, and in the span of a few hours the lizard man has pretty much everything he thinks he needs - a bed, a warm campfire, a pickaxe, food and research supplies, a makeshift door to ensure the safety of both him and said supplies, a door stop for said door, his trusty lantern and staff...

Eventually, when the transformation of the barren cave into a barren cave with some resemblance of a home is done, Quercus, completely exhausted from the long trip and having had little time to sleep, falls onto the bed and quickly passes out.

         Quartz came to the west dorms to seek out volunteers for the event committee. As he neared the door to W06, two little kids ran by, one making more contact with Quartz than the other.

"Oof - !" Quartz reacted. Now that he gets a good look at them, he notices that they're little humanoid black dogs wearing some kind of wide-sleeved shirts. The one who hit him was likely the one in blue.

"Sorry, mister!" the blue-dressed dog boy said as he rushed ahead.

"Hi~! See ya!" the pink-dressed dog girl greeted as she tailed after the boy.

"Uh - ? (I don't think they were here yesterday...)"

In any case, Quartz knocked on W06.

"Oh geez...Just a sec, okay?" said a voice inside.

After a bit, the door opened, with a small cloud of cigarette smoke billowing out through it. Quartz waved it apart as someone stepped into view inside.

"So what is it? Make it quick."

"I...uh..."

Quartz was startled by this newcomer - a dog-headed girl was gnashing a cigarette between her shining white fangs.

"Well?" she growled, her brows' inner corners lowering a bit.

"Um, I...I don't think we met yesterday," Quartz stammered, trying to catch his breath.

"Got here last night," she replied, exhaling another plume of smoke. "Wasn't safe to come in the afternoon, so..."

"(They came here in the nighttime?)" Quartz thought. "(...They sure were quiet coming, then.)"

"...Seriously, out with it," the girl growled.

"Oh! Right, um...Would you like to join the event commi - ?"

"Event committee? Forget it."

With that, she slammed the door shut on Quartz's face - literally; it hit his nose, knocking him back and grasping it in pain.

         "Count on it," Valentine said, following the group.

         The wolf-headed girl from Gourmet Gardens was surveying this area. As she did, she took a moment to gaze up at the perpetual moon hanging over the serene landscape.

"(...I wonder if that boy is safe,)" she thought to herself. "(...No use fretting over it, though. Not all humans are...deserving.)"

Taking a deep breath, she shook off the thought and continued on.

Just then, several shadows leaped out from nowhere and...!

"...!!!"

         "Maybe you should. What I hear with my friends tellin' me, there might be all kinds o' cloak an' dagger stuff going on," Naomi commented, looking at him. "I'll bet it's just a gold mine for detectives and conspiracy theorists."

         "Sure! Let me bring those along because all this adventuring is making me hungry." Pac harvests some of the golden fruit from the tree. He devours one golden apple from what he picked from, "Oooh, that tastes delicious."

The group finally leaves the forest and returns to where they all started from: Umaville.

         how the hell did alex not notice that before

Alex took the parachute, straped it to his back, and headed back to the edge of the palace. He looked down and calculated the distance - at least a hundred miles to the tip of the Deumanus Mountains, and lord knows how long it will take him to get to civilization from there. Incredibly high winds mean he'd be blown to who-knows-where if he opened the parachute too early, and he'd likely be drifting around for hours with the only good way down to be getting out of the parachute and dropping to his probable death. So that meant the only good way down was dropping several miles and opening a parachute at the last possible second.

Alex had never done a HALO jump before. But he was known for doing exceptionally stupid things for the betterment of mankind.

And besides, it was better than being cooped up here. He took a few steps back, then ran for the edge and took a flying leap...

         The crystal being seems to have no other purpose here, so he leaves through another hexagon portal.

         Nothing seems to be stopping it, not even the filler breeze.

         Keira gathered up her trench coat, putting it back on.

"Thanks for your concern," she said to Robin. In any case, she proceeded on to the bus station.

         Derecho fought the Minil-Lurker blade to claws, their attacks parrying each other with sparks of noise and shadow. The Minil-Lurker attempted to edge away during this fight, so it could leave to raze another settlement. However, Derecho just sprinted in its way, kicking it back. This way have sent it flying back into the ruined town a bit, but it didn't suffer much. Instead, it lashed out several tendrils, wrapping them around the wolf-man.

"Agh - !!"

It seemed the Minil-Lurker was going to bind Derecho in its tendrils and consume him...but then a beam of water flew out from nowhere and struck the fake right through the head, blowing it up. This interrupted its concentration on Derecho for a moment, giving him the chance to cut himself free. After that, he landed on his feet, holding his sword at the Minil-Lurker. At that time, though, it began experiencing spasms, unable to act.

"What - ? Is it...reverting?" Derecho wondered.

Sure enough, the Minil couldn't maintain its Lurker form without the realm deal in its presence. It had yet to attain such strength. Now in its more helpless state, the Minil was cleaved apart by Derecho's blade.

With that done, Derecho sheathed his sword. The water dragon from earlier peeked out from the waters nearby. Derecho recognized her and her shark skull-like weapon well.

"...Wailani, correct?" Derecho said. "Thanks. You really saved my tail there."

"Oh, well...erm..." the water dragon, Wailani, responded. "I was...just doing my job, that's all."

         Sonny follows suit, leaving the marsh and heading on her way out of Dream Valley.

         Ghost's skeleton head rolls away while his body is digging for rocks.

         A green stick figure like Lord Tourettes comes in the broadcasting room while not noticing what happened to the two members of the crew... Well, you know how it happens, Ghost and the Engineer got hogtied and taken somewhere else. Lord Tourettes takes over the show and changes the subject from political subjects to entertainment subjects.

"Hello, MOTHER FUCKERS!!! Due to technical DICKfaculties, the show will unable to continue without a PIMP HOST!!! To fill up the rest of the broadcast, how about a SHITTY tune?" Lord Tourettes plays his lute and signs beautiful while screaming bad words on the radio.

         "Sockie?! SOCKIE?? SOCKIE!! ARE YOU THERE?"

The location of Majestic HQ has been revealed to Toniyo that they are somewhere in Old Haven. But the bad thing is that Sockie and his group are in hot water with Majestic. Toniyo gathers his crossbow, ammo, and other belongings and get out of Coronach as fast as he can.

It's time to end Majestic once and for all.

         The same thing happens to the real Lurker, who tears out the tendrils and reforms the holes in himself before backing up.

"..Damn it all!" he snarled, suddenly turning tail and flying away.

         Meanwhile, the men in the warehouse quickly disassemble their machine, breaking the pieces. The people of Corona have enough to panic about now without needing artificial fear devices.

Umbra, meanwhile, has had no luck today trolling for customers, probably due to the whole "they're panicking indoors" thing, and so heads west to Fontin. She figures that there is her best chance of getting off this miserable continent while the getting's good...

         Including Estrella, who barely has time to scream before getting reduced to ash.

         (River's not there anymore)

         Goemon claimed the gem. "How savagely the dreams must have been violated..."

Celestia flew down and used her magic to lift Kirby up and onto her back. "Poor thing...Let's get you to the medical wing, shall we?" With that, she flew back to the palace with Kirby in tow.

         The fake Krokorok attacked by striking the wall with the effect of Rock Slide. This made rocks fall down from the ceiling above Granth, who focused on dodging in The Feral stance.

In reaction, the fake Krokorok struck the ground with Earthquake in a shockwave form. Just as Granth's hand touched the ground in his dodging, he was hit by the quake, knocking him off-balance.

"Urf - !"

Still, he flipped off the ground, then began hovering in midair as he assumed The Tempest stance. He glided past the fake Krokorok's attempted Mud-Slaps, then touched back down in a drop-kick atop the bug's head.

"Let us end this!" Granth went into his Trance colors as he punched the fake Krokorok, flash-freezing it within a large chunk of ice (Diamond Dust). As he did this, he whipped out a small booklet, opening a certain page.

"Understand this: outside show is a poor substitute for inner worth."

With that, Granth shut the book, reverting to normal as the ice was squeezed so tightly, it shattered into fine dust. The resulting crush destroyed this bug.

Still, Granth could not rest easy. "I feared it would come to this...They did not even care when I said that destroying it would...Just what are they scheming?" Granth left Mt. Moon, but not before tossing several of the larger rocks over the broken remains of the crystal.

         The Tezzrah Cannon was firing savagely toward its targets out in Old Haven, destroying many ruined buildings in the process. Fervolo witnessed the progress from the bridge.

"Yes, YES!" Fervolo exclaimed. "Swat them out - "

Just then, shots rained in upon the Hyperion, shaking it and interrupting Wrenchy's control (due to flinching).

"W-What was that just now??" Fervolo reacted.

Outside, a jet-shaped spacecraft was flying above and around the Hyperion's location, firing a few warning shots to the deck. This wrecked several of the cannons. The pilot turned on her intercom, saying this to the sky pirates:

"Attention, Ciellos Sky Pirates! Cease your assault, or I WILL use force! I repeat, cease your assault, or I will use force!"

"C-Captain! That craft seems to be Galinia-ware!" one of the pirates in the bridge said to Fervolo. "An S22 Interceptor - it's a member of Galinia's police force!"

"Blast! So even THEIR attention is on us..." Fervolo muttered.

"Um, perhaps we should, I don't know...retreat for now and fend off the snoops later?" Roman guessed.

"Ugh...alright, but we still need some pressure on those vermin," Fervolo said before switching to the comm channel. "Wrenchy! We'll be heading off! Switch to mobile mode!"

On deck, Wrenchy received the order.

"Mobile mode? O-Okay, br - captain. {focuses on controls} Engaging mobile mode!"

The Tezzrah Cannon detached from its stand, hovering in the air and proceeding off the deck. As it did, the Hyperion took off, flying on the Interceptor's tail. A stray shot from the Hyperion accidentally flew out and hit the ground near the Tezzrah Cannon, startling Wrenchy and making him veer it out toward Old Haven.

         "Well...those might have just been the grunts," Theodora replied to Dreamy Claptrap. "In any case...I'll need to report the aftermath to the chieftain."

"Oh wow..." Jigsaw said, looking a bit worried. "I never knew a world of dreams would be in such...calamity."

"..." Theodora was quiet for a moment, sharing in Jigsaw's worry. "Likewise. Too many tragedies are occurring all at once...and compared to them all, I feel...so...insignificant."

"Same here..." Jigsaw said.

Brother? Brother, wake up!

"(?) S-Saffro - ?"

Just then, Jigsaw became enveloped in a pillar of blue light, which shot upward into the skies outside the cathedral.

"..." Theodora dried her eyes. "Don't worry...I'll save the tears...for later." With that, Theodora headed to the higher levels of the cathedral. Action must be taken...

         As soon as Shatter left, Riley dropped his smile.

"Creepy dude," thought Riley.

Regardless, he had work to do, and so he set out for the chemical lab part of his lair.

         "Uh oh! Trouble's a brewing in Old Haven!" Haruna heard explosions from the distance, and flies the carrier towards the source, "Hold on to your seatbelts, boys, 'cuz things are about to get rough over there!"

         A long blonde woman dressed in a green ground walked the street. She was beautiful, elegant with each step she took, and also very buxom. "I wonder if they sell any video games around here..." the goddess walked along the street her heels clacking at every step.

         After a few more questions, mostly about how much the serums will cost and whatnot, Perrault clears his throat.

"I'm afraid that's all the time I have," said Killian. "It's been a pleasure."

Killian and Perrault, followed by Killian's secretaries/bodyguards, head out for Eden airport.

"I still don't see why we have to head out so quickly," said Killian quietly, once the reporters were out of earshot.

"This decision will make you unpopular amongst superhumans," said Perrault. "It would be safer out of Haven than in, given how many attacks there have been here recently."

Perrault makes it clear that discussion is over as the men (and their women) board a plane, which flies out for Fantasma.

         "What a nice guy!" remarks Z-Naut as U-Naut heads back upstairs to his post.

         Madeline, along with a squadron of (flying) Fairy, Psychic, Ghost and Dark Pokémon, were searching Niraska island for a certain book... and not enjoying any of it. She cursed as she remembered how her assignment went...

"You want me to go to WHERE?" asked Madeline.

"Niraska Island, in Yuyake," said Fatum.

"And you SERIOUSLY think that this book," said Madeline. "Which you saw a vision of that told you would be 'in a mountain that fell from the sky', is in some ISLAND?"

"There are other options in Yuyake," said Fatum. "But you would not be welcome in Senzai Summits, and Celestial Plain has not yet fallen. Niraska is the closest to a mountain-like structure. Any objections?"

"Several!" shouted Madeline.

Only it turns out Fatum wasn't really interested in hearing her objections. Stupid freaking bird.

         After being beaten by those two girls back in Tracgam City, Kongo had to be pulled off the street by A-Krag, Shocker, and the other members of his gang. They told him that going out looking for trouble was a bad idea. Those two girls were probably some of those heroes. He was probably lucky they just left him there and didn't drop him off in front of a police station. After he recovered, he thought a change of scenery would work in their favorite, so the gang moved out to Solum City.

Now, here they were at the warehouse district in Solum City. Kongo decided they should do a late night raid on the warehouses for two reasons; the first being that they have a chance of getting some good stuff there like valuables, high-tech gadgets, weapons, anything, the second reason being that something like this could get their reputation up. Something like this would let everyone know that the Eldritch Boyz aren't something to mess with.

"A'ight guys, let's go." Kongo said as he, Shocker, and A-Krag led the gang into the warehouses.

         "Dream Valley is always clean and beautiful, but not for long! Time to give this valley a dark makeover! Muwah hah hah HAH HAH HAH!!"

Grimm follows the Ales and Antasma to Dream Valley. What foul actions can Grimm do to a beautiful continent like that?

         As day breaks for Ingenium, the various remains of the tar creatures are suddenly engulfed in a bright light, quickly disappearing along with any evidence of their short-lived hunt from last night.

As this goes on, a random woman draped in some sort of green ceremonial cloak and holding onto a familiar steel suitcase walks into a nearby alleyway, seemingly melding with the flickering shadows and disappearing from sight just as various people begin to exit their homes for the new day.

Over in the Magnus residence, meanwhile, Jebediah makes his way back to the living room, his seventh cup of coffee in the last few hours sitting in his gloved hands. Cedric and the others always did say he had a problem with the drink, but he'd be damned if he didn't get a suitable helping of caffeine, he thought to himself. Besides, who needed sleep these days?

Entering the room and nodding to a nearby maid whom is busy dusting one of the lamp tables, Jebediah walks over and reclines in a chair, turning the television back on just in time to catch up with the news. He has yet to notice that the large steel suitcase he previously had on the table is missing, incidentally.

         It seems a whole day has passed since that last post. And yet, Slik was still playing that same SVPD game. It was then that...

"...YES!!" he cheered. "I DID IT! I beat the final boss and got the ending! YAY!! ...Now to go for full mission completion!" And with that, he went back to the missions to get every medal and secret in the game.

         "This 'Fairy Tale Corrupter' sounds like someone I vill get along vith just fine!" grins Antasma. "Now let us be off!"

Antasma transforms into a bat, picks up Ales, and flies off in the direction of Haven.

         "Attention, attention. All students and faculty should report to the library at once for a very special meeting. Again, every bastard in this school should report to the library pronto!"

"AWWGGHH... Now?!" Rigby responded, "Fiiinee... It's not like we care about his stupid... hey, Mordecai, something wrong?"

"I really don't know." Moredcai suddenly sees names and level numbers above the characters heads. All of a sudden, a notification pops up in front of him. Apparently, only Moredcai can see "windows," not other people.

"Oh, sorry. Just... seeing things... Come on guys, let's go see what he has to say."

The staff members in the cafeteria leave the room and go to the library. But what sort of strange essence did Mordecai suddenly pick up?

         Wi-Paw followed through the portal before it closed.

         "What if I refuse to go there, hmm?" Jurgen asked, "You can't make me go there. I'm a free vampi-- I mean man! Ja! I am a man... who is painted differently."

"Am I painted differently?" Red looks at his himself, "OH MY GOD, I'M A FREAK!!!!"

"Red, just go..." Blue spoke.

The rest of the faculty leaves the hallway and are on their way to the library. Whatever announcement that Monokuma has in mind is not a good one for them.

         Wandering about, Jigsaw tries to see if anyone is around.

"H...Hello? Is anyone out there?? Anyone??"

There didn't seem to be a soul in sight...

"Oh boy... {out loud} I-If someone...or something could just give me a sign, I'd really appreciate it!"

Soon, he saw a group of people in the distance. Among them, a boy seemed to be leading them.

"(!) H-Hey! You over there!" Jigsaw made his way toward this group.

"(!) Shh!" the boy chided. "Quiet, or they'll find us!"

Jigsaw made it near the group, and what he saw was a bunch of children with what seemed like plush animal heads (of reddish, light-colored, and dark-colored hues). The boy leading them had a white wolf head, with gold and silver eyes. Around his wrists are bracers equipped with key-like attachments.

"(?!) U-U-Uhhh...!" Jigsaw was somewhat surprised by the kids' appearance.

"U-U-Uhhh what?" the wolf-faced boy said. "What are you trying to say, dreamer? 'Unreal' or something?"

"Err..." Jigsaw had to keep cool - manners first. "...Who do you...mean by...'they'?"

Just then, from out of one of the holes in the area, a large black silhouette of a spiky arm burst out, reaching skyward and giving off a shady red glow. The kids with the wolf-boy were frightened, hiding behind him and Jigsaw. Jigsaw was even more frightened by this arm's entrance. The arm then slammed down, reaching toward the kids.

"G-Go!" the wolf-boy said, sparking up his keys. With them, he conjured a portal, which the kids started going to.

"But what about you, Wi-Paw??" a girl with a pale-yellow mouse head asked timidly.

"I...I'll figure something out," the wolf-boy, Wi-Paw, said. "But for now, you gotta get to where they can't hurt you!"

So all the doll-headed kids got through the portal before it closed up. Wi-Paw yanked Jigsaw away from the arm's attempted grab.

"W-What about me??" Jigsaw asked, close to panicking.

"You're dreaming, duh!" Wi-Paw replied. "Pinch your face or something!"

"Wh...? Dreami - ?"

Impatient, Wi-Paw delivered a pinch to Jigsaw's cheek himself, making the dreamer warp away from the Dream Dimension in a beam of light. This left the boy to escape the arm's attack...

         "Well..." Twilight said, "we better continue this conversation outside."

"Agreed," Mario said as the group headed outside. Bowser begrudgingly followed, knowing that he and the elites are currently outnumbered...

         Red followed, the two en route to Edge Wilds...

         Thant looks around at the now pretty much empty speedway... and awkwardly walks out.

         "Ah - ! Y-Yeah, you do that..."

Soon, Nankoro saw one of the airships flying an uneasy path away from the city. Its awkward, faltering motion had Nankoro worried.

"Uh-oh...! (If that thing crashed into the city, it might be worse than whatever bombs they tossed! Oh man, what to do, what to do...!! NO! I...There must be SOMETHING I can - !)"

In the midst of her fervor of thought, the indigo markings on Nankoro's hands seemed to flare up with a whitish blaze. She could feel something in her getting worked up, rushing a heated adrenaline through her blood.

"...Something! I don't know what, but something is what I'm gonna do! I'll show Haven that I can do more than just damage stuff!" Her mind set, Nankoro hurries toward the airship in Sanctuary.

         Gatha bid the six farewell. She then looked back to the castle.

"..."

         Some time later Quercus reappears in the sewers, wading about in the section of the vast network just under Sanctuary as he makes his way home; quite content with the idea of burying himself in his studies for a while after his little adventure. Maybe he'd also do something about the rising number of those infected things, he figured, but right now the old magician was feeling pretty tired. Now if only he could find some corks or something similar to plug the listening pipes dotting the walls of his house..

As he mulled over what to do when he got home, however, he suddenly snapped to attention once he reached an intersection within the tunnel, having seen a group of shadows on the walls start to violently jitter and thus quickly ducked behind a dark corner; peeking his head out cautiously. Why would he be doing this? Perhaps it has something to do with the handful of salivating tar monsters currently shambling down one of the well-lit corridors, one of them in particular carrying a dead rat with it in its jaws - or something that looks like a dead rat, anyways.

The sight of these creatures prowling about in such a bright, commonly traversed sector left the lizardman quite concerned - he was pretty sure he wasn't gone long enough for them to expand their hunting grounds so drastically, yet here they were, roaming about and looking for prey - and with that sobering sight in mind, he suddenly began to feel a lot more paranoid about living down here.

Thankfully it appeared that the sewers were devoid of civilized life for the time being, or so he hoped, so he had little incentive to stick around out in the open now; slinking from his hiding spot once he was sure the creatures were out of earshot and resuming his jog through the sewers.

         Before heading back to the barracks, Mordred issued a suggestion to the bus station manager. "Bring up a cautionary for anyone bound to Haven. They might not be viewed kindly there..."

"Understood, sergeant," the manager said as Mordred left.

         An indeterminate amount of time after the whole Morbul ordeal, the Lurker suddenly appears inside the debatably-empty chamber in a burst of energy. I say debatable, because Garrison's lifeless body is still technically sitting on top of the sacrificial altar within - dagger still embedded in his chest, with the vast pool of dark and misty blood underneath having long since stopped flowing - and it's highly unlikely a janitor or someone is going to come in and haul it away any time soon.

Regardless, the Lurker hurriedly floats over to his master's corpse, arms crossed behind his back; looking rather unimpressed with the sight before him.

"Tsk; impatient as always," grumbled Lurker, observing the scene and quickly piecing things together. "..Should have used someone else for a sacrifice. Probably would have ended up dead regardless by Morbul's hand instead, but still."

The corpse, naturally, doesn't respond to the critique, although it's highly unlikely the Lurker cares. Sighing, he pulls out the odd black stone he had recovered from Sockonia earlier; holding the strange rock up high as it starts to glow again with the same mysterious energy that drew him to its location.

In a matter of moments, the misty blood-like liquid that was previously seeping from the wound in Garrison's body starts to violently bubble before it is suddenly sucked into the stone, quickly changing its color to a shiny purple as the glow subsides.

"Halfway done. Must remember to demand an actual wage afterwards," mumbled the Lurker to himself as he pocketed the gem and teleported away once again, leaving the abandoned chamber (and Garrison's shell of a body) behind.

         Meanwhile, not too long after the events regarding the bandit hunt, the tiny black stone that Garrison curiously left behind during his (failed) assassination mission has suddenly started to glow with an otherworldly light.

Seemingly drawn to the strange stone's energy, a certain shade soon appears nearby in a burst of magic; quickly floating over to the rock and snatching it from the ground, before immediately teleporting away again.

         That doesn't stop Claptrap from meeting with other people on campus. He leaves the auditorium and goes to a different part of the school.

         A lone tree cabin is at the south eastern parts of the summits, and in that cabin resides a creature that resembles a vegetable and a blue glute. They are sleeping their troubles away. But their sleep is disrupted by Murfy, who barges in the cabin.

"Rayman! Wake up!!!" Murfy screamed, "We got trouble! Meet me at the villa! Quick!"

But Rayman and the blue glute are sleeping. Murfy slapped Rayman to wake him up. Although Rayman was not happy about the slap, he was surprised that the villa was, in fact, in trouble.

"Globox! Wake up!" Rayman shaked Globox, "There's trouble in Senzai Villa!"

"Trouble...?" Globox woke up, "Already? But I haven't had my breakfast yet!"

"There's no time! Polokus needs us more than ever! Let's go!"

The limbless hero Rayman and the glute Globox embark on their new adventure. Murfy joined the two and they are on their way to the villa.

         But they're not in Yogan Volcano, and now there is nothing I can do to delete that goddamn post. Great, now everybody's stories got affected by that last post. BULLSHIT. I can't delete them!

         Antasma flies after Ales, laughing alongside him all the way.

         "Right. Let's prepare for an exhibition, shall we?" Teresa is packing up her equipment and supplies for her and Taronai's journey, "After all, you want to see proof of our history~."

"Yeah... but-- that's not what I--"

"I thought so. Let's go, Taronai!"

"ARGGHH.... okay... But only when I--"

"Now!"

Feeling forced to come, Taronai followed Teresa to the snowy part of Yuyake. At the Nikko Docks, Teresa and Taronai enter the boat and begin to set sail to Wanbey Isles.

         Andy (with the resting Kaia in tow) nods and follows Alex. Jagger also heads out.

         "Put a lid on it, chump!" shouts Popple before turning to Nabbit. "Rookie, throw the staute-that's-probably-a-corpse at him! It ain't worth anything to us now, and maybe it'll slow 'em down!"

         "(!) Hey, wait - !!" But the fox was too late - the two assailants have already gone. "Dammit! If only I realized sooner...!" He now has a good idea as to what they plan to do. Then that would mean they're seeking out other powers to break THAT barrier. "...There is one who can break two of those layers." Knowing this, the fox set out to leave the island, heading for Dream Valley...

         The Surfer comes to a stop where the figure had been, and looks around the just-as-golden moon. Who had that been, and where did they go? Questions without answers--something Norrin Radd is used to. Flying back above Galinia's orbit, the Silver Surfer heads straight for Unitas.

         "Cool," said Alex. "Let's head on out!"

Alex, Terrus, and Duma left for Shafton City and what was sure to be a good night's sleep.

         "He is certainly a unique kind of person," said Terrus.

Terrus and Duma quickly follow Ripsaw to the castle.

         Over in the temple of Palutena, goddess of light, her faithful captain Pit was using the Eye of Palutena to make a call to Ghost Radio...in an unsuccessful attempt to cheer up the host. Palutena herself was nearby.

"Awww..." Pit groaned. "Guy's tougher to cheer than a brick wall."

"Well, he's got a lot to put up with in his job," Palutena noted, "like willingly letting jabs be thrown at him. It's probably best to NOT try to cheer him up on the air."

"Yeah, I know, I know. Odd sort of entertainment, if you ask me...There really IS no biz like show biz."

         Mordred touched down on the ground, letting out a triumphant roar before cloaking himself in a dark energy, reverting himself back to normal. With the match done, he walked out of the gradually-thawing arena.

         Quintus then walks over to Quentel and picks him up.

"L-let go!" shouted Quentel.

"What?" asked Quintus. "Are you saying you LIKE the ice? But I just threw some at you! Well... all right, then!"

Quintus leaps into the air and piledrives Quentel, embedding him in the icy ground.

"Ooh, that looked mighty painful, folks!" said Grubba. "An' ah don't think Quentel can make it any longer! Ah declare this match-"

"NOT YET!" shouted Quintus. "He hasn't learned his lesson yet."

"<L-lesson?>" asked Quentel, muffled by the ice.

"Yeah," said Quintus. "Dying is too good for you, especially out there. You have to learn that if you want respect, as a murderer, lawyer, or otherwise, you have to make it in here. And you can't make it in here. In here..."

Quintus punches Quentel hard in the crotch.

"In here there's only PAIN!" shouted Quintus.

For about a minute more Quintus continues beating on Quentel, incredibly violently, but never fatally.

"<STOP! PLEASE!>" begged a muffled Quentel.

"All right," said Quintus. "You learned your lesson yet?"

"<Yes! Please! Just stop!>" begged Quentel.

"Lucky you," said Quintus. "I left your legs alone. So when I pull you out... you'd better start running."

Quintus yanks Quentel out of the ground. Quentel falls straight on his butt, backs away like a coward, then finally stands up and bolts out of the Sub-Zero Zone and the Techno Dome.

"Well ah'll be darned!" said Grubba. "In his first match, Quintus von Koopa done ended the career of another fighter! Looks like a fella to watch just entered the Techno Dome ranks, folks!"

The crowd cheers for Quintus, who soaks in their adoration before heading back out to the lobby, followed by Grubba.

         Sockie, Sockra, and Brimstone all follow Lord Tourettes to Kinoko City. Sockie still seems a little peeved, but has mostly calmed down.

         Nabbit brings the statue along because Popple forgot to bring it with him. He follows him to the exit.

"AAWWWWW F*CK!!! NOW I LOST THE MASCOT! THIS IS BAAAAAAADD!!!!" Mr. Torgue is now a sad palooka and mopes all the way to the lobby.

         Not too far to Emerald Forest now...!
