Karasz carefully grabs the Hellborne Blade from the ground, and upon obtaining for the first time, red and black aura surrounds Karasz and giving him new abilities to use against his enemies. And yet, it feels so sinister.
"Here's a quick target practice." The Thug Leader summoned a low ranked Shoe Demon, "This guy's been slacking off for too long! Give him--
"RRRAAAAAAGGHHHHHH!!!" Karasz unleashes the power of the Hellborne Blade and swings his cursed blade across the peon. The body parts explode into gory bits and pieces, "...This is even better."

The tip of the blade's handle suddenly begins stretching around Karasz's arm, digging into his flesh.
"Aw, it likes you!" says Shu. "So it's binding itself to you!"

"By the way... I think that inspector will expect a frightening surprise when I come back. After all the shit he put up with me, I am willing to return the favor..." Karasz threatens to kill Crane, "David Crane, your ass is mine."
"He's... from Haven, right?" Thug Leader asked.
"Yeah."
"Well, whaddya know Shu? He loves carnage already!"

"PREPARE THE PREPARATIONS!" said Thurston, suddenly appearing next to Shu. "How on earth can we move if the preparations aren't prepared?"
Karasz walks away while thinking about getting his revenge on Crane. He is willing to take him to Hellborne. But what will Leilanie think about his emotions?
A Cacturne dressed like a Mismagius suddenly appears in Hellborne and looks around, confused.
"Well," she said. "This is certainly a change of scenery!"

Many demons are also getting ready, anxious to strike fear and agony into the hearts of the Havenites.
Mr. Thurston suddenly appears next to the Cacturne.
"HI THERE!" shouted Thurston. "Welcome to hell! Enjoy the buffet!"
"Oh, I feel quite welcome!" said Viv. "Thanks ever so much!"
Viv tries to hug Thurston... who flies out of the way quickly.
"HEY!" shouted Thurston. "No touching!"
"Really?" asked Viv. "You look huggable..."
"And ESPECIALLY no hugging!" chided Thurston. "I have a condition which YOU certainly aren't going to help with!"
"... And that's why you wear a bathrobe?" asked Viv.
"I wear a bathrobe because it's airy," said Thurston. "And to keep people from touching me with their filthy unwashed hands!"
"Oh, mine are plenty washed!" said Viv, holding up one of her... nubs, I guess.
Unfortunately the nub is oozing some odd purple substance, which Thurston looks at warily.
"Oh, don't worry about this," said Viv. "Just leaking Pecha Berry extract. Harmless, I assure you!"

Leilanie is waiting for Karasz to come back. All that patience is paying off now that Karasz is returning to where she is. Something doesn't seem right about Karasz.

"I must kill Inspector Crane. He screwed with the wrong swordsman this time." Karasz glared at Leilanie, "And I'm not going to let him live."

"All bets are off when Haven is taking things too far. I'm willing to kill the inspector myself, and I don't want anyone to take my kill away. His head will be mine."
'I don't believe this... You're just gonna throw your heroic title just for that?" Leilanie is starting to feel less sympathetic for Karasz, "You're crazy."
"Crazy is such a mere word. Revengeful is better."

Estrella, in her wanderings around Hellborne Valley, comes across the insane Karasz talking about murdering a man who barely did anything to him. She pauses, thinking of what she could do to stop this madness... But then she realizes she doesn't know the man and keeps a fair distance away, just observing.

Meanwhile, Thurston is washing his hands in a river of lava, singing a song to himself to drown out Viv trying to assure him that all the poisons now leaking through his body are strictly beneficial.

"Get yourself ready. The war is almost ready for a bloodshed." Karasz commanded Leilanie, "Haven is in for a big surprise."
Leilanie just stood there as Karasz walks away. She does not feel too comfortable about his behavior. If he wanted to be a hero, why did he have the mind to kill somebody? What could be worse is that he will be addicted to murder.

Estrella is silent for a minute or two, then she cautiously approaches Leilanie.
"He has darkness in his heart," said Estrella. "If it is not tempered with love innocent people are going to die."
She probably could have come up with a better opening than that but she wasn't too good at small talk.

"I understand that Karasz is angry that he is treated like a nobody in the past, but I will not let him kill innocent people around him," Leilanie replied, "What about honor? What about his dignity? Most importantly, his own destiny? Whatever the case might be, I would say that he should not take his raid too far. It was bad enough that he accidentally murdered farmers that Shu claimed them to be bandits!"
"I pray it will be enough," said Estrella, backing away from Leilanie.

The sound of cracking earth becomes audible as a half-melted metal arm suddenly bursts through the ground, quickly grabbing onto one of Leilanie's legs. As can be guessed from the fact that it was previously submerged in magma and is now glowing an intense orange, this would probably hurt Leilanie quite a lot if she wasn't already dead. Of course, the same cannot be said of her energy, which is slowly starting to drain away the instant the hand makes contact with her ankle.
As this happens, a greatly disfigured, yet vaguely familiar masked head pulls itself up from the new pool of bubbling lava, the slits that previously indicated the creature's mouth area having been partially melted open, forming a grotesque, jagged maw that quickly contorts into a sickening grin the moment it sees Leilanie. The beady white eyes seem to have remained untouched, still glowing with a hollow brightness even amidst flaring clouds of miasma.
"Well hello there," cooed Garrison, his voice seeming to not betray the intense hatred currently seething from his stare. "Fancy seeing you here, of all places."
A differently-colored Garrison came and clenched the real Garrison's arm tightly.
"Watch what you grasp, prisoner," the false Garrison said. "One with her talents will be necessary VERY soon."

Leilianie tries not to laugh at Garrison's "new look," and covers her mouth to make sure she's not laughing out loud.
Garrison shoots Leilanie a dirty look before letting go of her, quickly turning to the duplicate. Forcing a smile, the real Garrison puts his free hand under his chin and stares, occasionally tilting his head from side to side, as if admiring a mirror's reflection.
"Oh, you wound me, truly! I was just trying to get the lady's attention, I can assure you," replied Garrison. "We've met before, you see, so I was curious to know the details behind how she ended up here."
