Conversations with Charlotte consist of a few different things. Typically they will feature some combination of praise for herself, flattery for those she associates with to improve her own position, insults or mocking of those she deems less worthy; along with whining, demanding, lying, boasting and on the odd occasion, making a fool of herself as she inadvertently reveals her actual incapability and lack of knowledge about things. As an academic and a mage, she's poor in both areas despite her claims; a fact that is only kept hidden through skillful misdirection and a bountiful amount of cheating through harassment of other students to do the work for her. After all, she's above such things, and it's important for a leader to be capable of delegating the menial work to those more suited to it. Aside from the above quirks that Charlotte injects into her conversation, she adores gossiping, rumours and talking about any manner of social events. Most importantly, she treasures secrets and things others find embarrassing, as those are key to controlling and domineering over someone. Though Charlotte is quite the blabbermouth and recklessly shares 'facts', she's learned that there are things that people would do anything to keep under wraps, and such information is far more powerful when it remains unknown to the wider populace.
Despite being the main school bully (at least in the psychological and verbal sense), Charlotte is surprisingly popular. A combination of her looks, unique magic and linguistic talents lead her to actually be kind of charming when she's not targeting you for an insult, and she's quite capable of rallying people behind her to gang up on the individual she's decided to attack. Many have simply learned that it's far easier to let Charlotte have her way and work with her than go against her, as doing so is the best way to avoid becoming a target yourself. Charlotte's vain and ego is her main weakness in that regard; and although she herself knows how she manipulates others with flattery, those same tactics easily lower her guard. Regardless, there's an authority and nobility to her presence that's undeniable; and arguably, she's better known than some of the Major Arcana around the school. Naturally however, she'd have nothing less.

Drawing a Tarot, she felt destined for greatness. In fact, sheâd already boldly declared that sheâd draw the most powerful and recognizable card of the entire deck. Not that she knew which the best was, but surely someone of her calibre could do no less? Perhaps that was why drawing the Page of Swords was so unexpected. Charlotte was no expert, but she knew the difference between a major and minor. Sheâd heard as much in her time. This wasnât a Major at all! There had to be some mistake! Despite her protests, the young lady of the Wynetta household was for the first time refused what she so desperately wanted. It was embittering and humiliating. Enraged to the point of a tantrum, she demanded answers from her servants, and received what she was asking for. Though she didnât necessarily like what she heard.
Charlotte was a diluted. A child born of greed. Though her father did love her and her mother with everything (Particularly his wallet), he was married to another. Though spoiled for wealth and material possessions, it did nothing to change her blood. She was a pathetic imitation of a real royal. Even if she had drawn a major arcana, she would have died shortly thereafter. It all had to be some sort of cruel joke! And yet, those people that served her, the ones she looked down upon. Now she could see something else behind their eyes. A mocking sense of superiority. How quickly she had fallen from her perch. They were fools, all of them! She was better than this! And if she couldnât raise her own status to be higher, sheâd drag everyone else down beneath her. As she left home and entered the academy, the young Charlotte began to concoct a harebrained scheme to have her mingle with the best of the best. Though childish and unsustainable, she would reinvent her image, and force others to give her the respect she was rightfully destined to have. She was a Wynetta, and she was going to win.
A cunning manipulator socially, Charlotte plays the façade of a pure blooded noble seamlessly, as if she was truly born for the greatness she proclaims. From her initiation into the academy to the present, she has maintained the perfect concoction of lies and misdirection to mingle with the elite as if she was one of their own, helped in no small part by her unique magic. From her position amongst the top, she stokes the flames of disgust and detest of diluteds while denying or ignoring her own heritage. At face, sheâs a well-known suck up to the Majors, while simultaneously a dismissive and rude individual to her fellow minors and dilutes. A gossip monger and backstabber, Charlotte is petty, immature, arrogant and holds quite the temper and grudges â but at the same time is easily played by flattery and praise, particularly from anyone of elite status. If someoneâs secret gets out, few know of a better way to have it spread through the school than Charlotte. Perhaps itâs her way of ensuring that her own confidential information never sees the light of day.
