My character is so secretive, and so under any radar, he makes myths look like math.
Boy. Where to begin.
Every situation is different. To interact with "Cat" is not interacting with Mazear.
Cat doesnt trust anyone. He's paranoid (rightfully so) overly analytical. He can be critical, cold and calculating. But he does have a heart and a good sense of morals. Cat isnt mean, he just doesnt trust anyone. He is ruthless with his lips at first, impersonal and invasive. If you can make it past Mazears first impression when he is not "working", you might find a softy inside.
As much of a hardass he seems like, Cat is definetly NOT what he pretends to be. Sometimes, for a job, Cat HAS to be the badguy. He doesnt like it, but thats his job.
Because of such intense strain and blending of his lifestyle, Cat isnt really one to socialize. If he is talking to you, there is another agenda behind it.
And when he is not working? Or for the brief time Cat feels like he can relax a bit?
Hes a smartass. A comical madman in love with fine art, drink and food. He is quite the gentleman, charismatic kind and generous...HOWEVER, this side of Cat rarely (if ever) reveals itself to others. Particulary women.
1: Safehouse
PLEASE READ: Cat has numerous chemicals, papers, clothes tools and tricks at his safehouse. This is where Cat stores his goods and loot, (from any heists) information on targets and places, people in power ect. Usually, if not entered in the proper way, this safe house will set fire toitself through a hidden lantern in the wall. Cat is always smart enough to install this self made security feature in every safehouse he gets. (An abandonded mill, shack, farm house.... and old dock house...) This is where Cat can hide important people, and will act as his home in most cases.
2: Utility Belt:
A specially made Espionagea artifact, worn around the waist or chest with several pouches and small attached boxes, complete with secret compartments, a quick hook-unhook device, and a no-extra-weight enchantment. In these pouches will be a number of things at any time, and generally, no more than 3 or 4 emergency operations devices. (lockpick, posion, disguise items, pyrotechnicks ect.) The rest is his traveling gear. Food and flask, small redwood pipe for smoking leaf when he can, a lute to be played on lonely nights or for charades.... Perhaps a map of the area, treats for his companion Jack...
3: Custom Cloak
Another Espionagea tool. Custom made, elvish (rumored) aurbourn cloak. Cat wears this magic item at all times. Its a many pocketed cloak desined to dim when in darkness. It is long, has a small "self destruct" string, is fire proof, lightweight and durable. Even after burning all incriminating evidence or tools inside the cloak pockets, the cloaks material itself will not burn.
4: Magic items/Special
Custom Cloak
Utility Belt
Special-Repeating-Wrist Crossbow designed to shoot rope over long distances.
One pendant with mysterious powers...
5:Weapons
One elvish (rumored) dagger. Curved and great for cutting or skinning.
His mind. Cat would rather run and lay traps, than fight in close quaters. In order for him to loose, you'd have to catch him. Ever tried to catch a cat? ;)
The enviorment. Cat once stopped an Inn fight with a tankard next to him, one stool, and a lantern on the bar top.
Pyrotechnic-escape devices.
Many poisions.
Now most of this is either unkown, believed, or assumed.
Everything on paper suggests otherwise. Guard bases and courts all over the multi verse might know of his rap sheet and bounty, but to know the history?
You'd have to hear it from Mazear himself. And we all know how that would go... trying to question a covert indavidual...
Mazear was captured and tortured in his early years.
After that?
He took his family job, and his self training, very rigorusly.
Mazears history involves his family, secrets, lies and his walk of the razors edge.
