(Post is too short xp Lol)
"Ah I don't mind," he laughed at her remark about not being a very good cook. "And yes I remember where you live." He ran his free hand through his white hair with the minor intention to look better than he normally was. "See you in a few, hot stuff," he hung up quickly without waiting for her to respond.
He grabbed the shiny black helmet from a hook. Garret scooted the motorcycle so it was on the pavement. He closed up his house while glancing around in the dimming light. A low grumble echoed through his stomach. Ignoring it, Garret climbed onto his polished bike with his leather jacket looking all fly and what not. He started up the bike and sped off towards where he remembered Zoey's house was.
Left. Stop light. He was just about to beat the light when an angry voice stopped him. Beat it and I beat your face, Master growled. There's a camera, dumbshit. I don't want to be paying any damn bills.
"Cheap ass," Garret whispered. No response from his head.
The light turned green and he was back on his way to Zoey's house. He turned right onto Zoey's block and slowed down to stop in front of her house. He parked his bike on the side walk twirling his keys on his finger. Whistling, he walked up to Zoey's door.
Cristian laughed. "What? Ravishing too much?" He asked, teasingly. "Well we're supposed to always tell the truth." He laughed again. He noted the frown on her face when she mentioned some human guy, Jeremy. He couldn't help frowning himself. He frowned more as she explained how she didn't mind Earth, but would have to go back either way. Her sad smile pulled at his heart. "Like I said, boring but pleasant." He answered her question, a small smile returning to his lips as Kali changed the subject. Deciding to avoid the bitter topic of her returning to hell, he instead back tracked to her and this Jeremy guy. "So you sound excited to be going out with this Germy guy?" Cristian said teasingly, purposely saying his name wrong. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you don't really want to go." He held the swing tightly, stopping it. He walked around to look down at Kali. He held the rail and smiled down at her, raising an eyebrow charmingly.
Zoey quickly changed into her clothes, leaving her pajamas in a crumpled up pile on the floor. She ran down her stairs and danced around her house happily. She was smiling from ear to ear, unable to contain her excitement. I'm so pathetic. She thought, but she didn't stop. She impatiently checked her window almost every five minutes, her eyes peeled for Garret's unique white hair. She traced her tattoo and tugged at her multiple peircings as nervousness settled in as well. Finally she peeked out of the window and caught sight of Garret, the picture of sexiness, strolling up to her door. He seemed so casual as he whistled and walked up to her door. She stood and composed herself, taking a few deep breaths to steady her nerves. She ran a hand through her long, dyed pink hair, combing it quickly with her fingers. She listened for a knock and waited a couple of seconds, not to seem too anxious, before pulling open the door. "Hey! Garret! What's up? Come on in." She told him, smiling. She moved aside to let him in. The butterflies in her stomach were fluttering around crazily as she waited for Garret to step in. In her mind she was squealing and jumping around for joy. In real life she was cool, calm, and collected, only a broad smile stretching across her face.
"yes im DYIIING to go on a date with this kid" Kali said sarcsm dripping from her voice as she tried to ignore the pitter patter of her heart, due to his charming look.
"jeeze what are you a mind reader?" she teased back looking up at him. She thought she might of been blushing but hoped she was wrong. wow, she had never been this far out of her element. she was usually always in control.
"why do you care, Angel? dont you have that one little girl...Kelly was it? with her issesent talking? is she YOUR goal?" she asked with a grin as she stood, not backing off, wile trying to gain control of the situation.
Cristian laughed at Kali's comments. He made a face at her mention of Kelly. He didn't like how she moved away, but let it be, trying to keep the disappointment from his face. "She's really rather boring." He told her, truthfully. He leaned on the swing, bringing himself a bit closer to Kali. He liked being close to her. He thought oddly. Everything about her presence seemed strangely nice. "What about this Germy guy? What's he like?" He asked, not really wanting to know. He tried to keep it from his voice, however. He liked hearing her talk and craved for more so he asked about Germy just for the sake of listening to her voice.
"i dont know." she said honestly.
"i met him today, at the coffee shop...then he called me and asked me out. he seems...nice...enough." Kali said with little to no interest as she stared at Christian. She wasnt sure what it was but she got the vibe he might like being around her too. that made her smile without meaning to. she pulled out her phone to look at the time.
"the date is actually...tonight, in like...an hour." she said as she watched his face, trying to see if she would get a reaction. she hoped he'd look...she wasnt sure what but maybe he'd ask her to stay...because honestly she wanted to. she leaned against the pole that supported the swing with a sigh as she continued to watch him, her own face showing no interest but hoping he would give something away.
She supressed a blush that creeped up her face as Drake took hold of her hand. The bad lighting of the brown hallways almost seemed heavenly. She giggled and bumped him back. "Er I'd like to see a comedy I guess," she smiled as they came closer to the elevator. She pressed the button to go down. "Where's the movie theater?" she asked with pure interest. She also wondered how much it cost for one movie. She planned to visit the place often since Maya had heard very good things about movies. Maya was enjoying Drake's company so much she forgot her uncomfortableness in her tight jeans and plain fitting shirt.
Garret gave Zoey a smirk. "Hey, gorgerous," he said as he stepped into the girl's house. He looked around a bit. The house was nice but not his style. The livingroom had pictures around the tables and he spotted a few of Zoey in her younger years and family, he guess, littered around her. He smiled again to Zoey. He gentle dragged his eyes over her body from her skirt up to where his eyes settled on her eyes. "I hope it's okay that I park my bike up there," he pointed out the still open door to his black bike that just sat, all chilled like, on the side of the road.
"After dinner, you want to take a spin on it? Promise not to kill you," he joked lightly. He laughed and sniffed the air. "I'm a big fan to spagetti," he lied. "My mom used to cook it all the time." Another lie. He didn't know but he suddenly had a feeling to make Zoey believe he was normal. He stopped the lies abruptly and walked in farther into the house.
Drake smiled, looking at the numbers once again. Then looked at the Elevater door to open up. "Hmm. I think it going to cost, at least 7.45 for both of us" He said in a low voice. He grined, walking out of the elevater, when it opened up.
"It should be at least 16 blocks away from her." Drake was glad that, he was able to get a date with the must beautiful girl on this very earth.
Cristian frowned at Kali's words about Germy, but quickly changed his expression to one of indifference, not wanting her to catch it. "You don't really want to go." He said bluntly, not bothering with sarcasm or teasing. He walked over to Kali to stare down at her as she leaned against the swing pole. "How about we make a deal?" He said, leaning in close as though sharing a secret. "If you don't go on that date with that Germy dude I'll push you on the swings some more and then maybe buy you some coffee. Does that sound like a deal?" He asked, leaning in even closer. He could feel her breathing on his cheek he was so close. "Besides," He looked, deeply into her eyes, hypnotized by her. "I don't really want you to go." He barely whispered the last sentence.
Zoey smiled at Garret. "Sure. As long as my parents don't see it, but they shouldn't be home until late, so you're in luck. And a ride sounds nice." She told him, closing the door. She turned to see him looking around and smiled some more, if that was even possible. "Ok then. Come on. I'm starving." She told him, grabbing his wrist and pulling him over to the kitchen. She pushed him down on a seat before walking over to set up the plates and cups. She put the big bowl of spagetti in the middle. "Bon appetite." She said with a wink. She went over to fridge and pulled it open. "What do you want to drink?" She asked. "We have water, iced tea, lemonade, orange juice, fruit punch, and milk." She rattled off all the drinks she found in the fridge, bringing out the pitcher of water for herself. She turned to look at him expectantly. She had noticed that since he had walked in he had seemed nicer. It set her on edge a bit, but she ignored it, enjoying his company. Damn! He's so hot! She thought in her head as she waited for an answer.
"Kali speaking" she said breathlessly.
"Hey Kali...its Jermey...i cant wait to see you....i was hoping you'd be willing to move our date up a little?" the lovestruck boy asked. Kali stared at Christian completely immobile. stay or go? seemed like a life desition at the moment.
Cristian felt more than saw Kali move closer to him. He felt her hands on his chest and her breath on his cheek. They were so close. The loud ringing of her phone ruined the moment. He pulled away and backed up feeling as though he were coming out of a trance. He stared at her as she talked on the phone. His attention kept being drawn to her lips as they moved. If her phone hadn't rung would we have kissed? The question bounced around in his head. The thought made him suddenly realize something. I want to kiss her. He thought in shock, continuing to watch her. I really want to kiss this demon girl. He was so used to everything being controlled and logical that for once he decided to just go on impulse. And his impulse was telling him to kiss her. He walked over to her, gently taking the phone from her hand and closing it, hanging up on whoever was on the other end. He quickly leaned in close to her, their noses practically touching. He brushed his lips against her's feeling a slight jolt before closing the distance between them and kissing her full on the lips. The kiss lasted only seconds, but to Cristian it seemed to last longer and he wished that it could last even longer. He pulled away and stood staring at her in a daze. He wanted to kiss her again, but he controlled himself as the realization of what he'd done smacked him in the face. "I'm... I'm... Um... Sorry." He lied. He wasn't sorry. In all honesty, he really wanted to do it again. He opened and closed his mouth searching for words, but finding none. "Sorry." He repeated again lamely, looking down at her, unsure of what to do next.
"So thats what heaven tastes like." she said quietly wile looking away, her lips twisting in a bitter smile.
Maya stepped out of the elevator dragging Drake gently behind her with a wavering grin. "Er how many blocks?" she asked slowing down towards the front door to exit the apartment building. She wasn't much of a walker and walking never appealed to her so 16 blocks sounded like crossing the distance of Canada on her bare hands. Slowing until she was on a full stop. "We're walking there?" she asked hoping the answer coming out of his mouth would be a No. She was biting her lip and gazing up at him with uncertain eyes. They were standing face to face in the hallway just a few feet away from the glass doors that were the entrances.
Garret was really enjoying the service of food. He sat down in the seat with a chuckle and stared down at the giant bowl of spaghetti that was dropped on the table. He took his fork and gently stabbed the food making it seem like he was examining it closely. "Water's fine," he told her sounding distracted. "It doesn't seem to be moving," he said seriously as he ducked his head to get a closer look at the dish. He looked up to Zoey standing by the drive and started to laugh. He dropped his fork and motioned for her to sit.
Cristian hated the bitter smile pulling at Kali's lips. The bitterness of her tone confused him. Is she mad that I kissed her? Does she think it's too soon? That I'm moving too fast? The questions swirled in his head giving him a headache. All he could do was wonder why Kali seemed so bitter and blame himself for it. It was his fault after all. She must have thought the kiss was too soon. I'm moving too fast. He kept thinking. He wanted so badly to kiss her again, but it seemed to him that she didn't want to and it would be selfish to kiss her again if she didn't want to. God, please don't let me blow this. He silently prayed. He decided to do the first thing that came to mind. Pretend the kiss had never happened. No matter how much it had blown his mind and no matter how much he wanted to kiss her again. "Do you want me to push you on the swings again?" He asked awkwardly. He backed away from her to give her some room. He felt cold suddenly without her near. He wanted her close, but he didn't know if she wanted the same so he gave her space. He motioned towards the swings. "Or I could buy you that coffee?" He ran a hand through his hair, taking in a deep breath and letting it out. A sudden thought came to mind and he suddenly smiled despite everything. "One things for sure; I am so not letting you go on that date with Germy." He smirked jokingly at her, hoping for the awkwardness to fade. Hoping that she'd stay. Hoping that he could kiss her again... And that she'd let him and kiss him in return.
Zoey brought over the pitcher of water and poured both Garret and herself some. "Well that's a good sign." She said in response to his joke about the food not moving. "Usually it's crawling all over the kitchen floor trying to get away by now." She got some spaghetti for herself and looked over at Garret. "I promise it won't kill you and if it does I give you permission to sue my ass for all it's worth. Though I must admit. It's not worth that much." She joked. She took a bite-full of spagetti as though to reassure him that it was safe to eat. "See. Perfectly edible." She teased drinking some water. "So Garret, should we start asking those stupid what's your favorite color questions that we both know we don't really care about or should we just go straight to the interesting ones like what's your family like?" Zoey asked him with an arched eyebrow. She smirked at him from behind her glass of water that was held to her lips before taking a small sip.
"Taxi?" she asked as Drake got off the phone. It appeared to be a car service where they pick you up from your cutter location and drop you off at the area you want. She pondered at this wonderful thought. Someone was driving her and Drake. They had stepped out of the building and their were benches out in the front. Maya lulled Drake gently over so they sat down next to each other. And then her eyes widened at his joke that she didn't catch. "You can di that?" she asked stupidly. Suddenly realizing the joke she began to laugh. "How long will it take them to arrive?" she bobbed her head from where she sat out into the street on the outlook for a car that she didn't even know what it looked like.
He smiled at Zoey and took some food for himself. He took a same bite and looked at his hands turning them over. "I'm not turning green. Good sign," he joked at mimicked Zoey by sipping some water for himself. He ate some more and thought about her comment. "Let's hope I don't have to sue you because for what your worth I'd be a millionaire," hezwinked and chewed some of the food. It wasn't gourmet Italian cooking but it was pretty tasty and at least not life threatening. "Well, do you want to be elementary? I like the color red and white," he pointed to his hair. "And it's just me and my mother who is never home. Never," he sipped his water waiting for Zoey to reply.
"sure, coffee sounds good" Kali said with an attempt at a smile. geeze what was wrong with her? she really liked this guy, so why was it so hard to just let it happen?...
'because you know you'll never be good enough. he's an angel you dumb ass' her inner self laughed. She sighed and knew the little voice was right. she'd never be able to accept that he might actually like her for...herself. she was a demon. angels didnt mix with demons. angels where...pure. demons....not so much.
"why are you wasting time with me?" she asked suddenly. She felt angry. why was he toying with her? she knew he was above her, why did he have to dangle himself just out of reach? she thought angels where supposed to be GOOD. this was just cruel. she felt like telling him that much but bit her tongue and waited for his reply.
