Introduction
It was the 50th year on the anniversary of High King Farren's bringing Morentis together when a force of pure evil stormed the Capitol City and waged a war that had not been seen before. The High King's guardsmen and woman and the city's guards were not prepared for the poisonous evil that seeped past the walls into the streets of Morentis. No one was safe from the collateral and it was mere hours after the battle had begun that news of the murder of the High King traveled through Sol.
The intruder who sought control of Morentis was Tygwin Hannister, an evil sorcerer who was thought to have died back when Morentis was first united. Biding his time and massing an army of evil and learning the most powerful of magics, when Tygwin was abled, he marched on Sol, tore it's walls down and publicly murdered High King Farren Snowborn on the throne of Sol.
It is during the endings of this battle for Sol that you find yourself. For whatever reason, you fought to defend the city of Sol and by proxy, the kingdom of Morentis in turn. It is known however that whoever sits on the throne of Morentis has control over the lands as a powerful artifact known only as Eden gives the wielder - once High King Farren - power to bring harmony or destruction to Morentis simply at the will of the holder. Tygwin Hannister has taken Eden into his grasp, begun the corruption of Morentis and it is you who must fight to stop the land you call home falling into despair and eternal darkness.
Finding yourself among familiar faces, coupled with some new ones, you band together to fight your way out of Sol and a way to stop the new Dark High King Hannister from destroying everything.

Rules
Characters need to develop their skills/powers. Characters, regardless of alignment, should not be all powerful or proficient in all skills from the get go.
When Making a character, be sure to make them realistic, relatable and have the ability to be expanded upon as the RP progresses. A character that is the best from the get go will find themselves either ignore, or the cause of the RP's death.
This RP is a collaborative effort. Almost anything goes and nothing is too impossible.
We work together to create Morentis, make sure to acknowledge other's posts, read carefully and build on what has been said.
Character race, while being general is asked to be kept within reasonable constraints. That is to say, mermaids probably won't get far when the group is walking on land.
Magic is abundant in Morentis, but you need to remember that magic is not limitless and can be overcome at times, much like a swordsman/woman.
Realism is key to a good RP. Play off one another, take hits where given, and give hits where necessary. Please though do not force another player into an un-winnable situation.
While we do have character alignment, it's very possible for an evil aligned character to fall behind in plot advancement as I foresee this RP being good-centric and therefore surrounding plot advancement in accordance with the majority of aligned.

Re: Heroes Rise.
EDIT
I just went through the collaboration thread. So I guess that antagonists won't have a lot of screen time in this role-play like what you all have discussed there? I was thinking of making an enemy for my main character who will later help my character fight the evil lord.
Oh and if the class thing still applies here and that I should tell people what I'm gonna make just so they wouldn't make a character similar to mine, I plan to have my main character to be a "Iai-styled swordsman" or somewhere along the lines and the other character to be a "Lightning orientated spear-wielder".
Re: Heroes Rise.
I'm sorry if I sound like a dictator, I know that I can sometimes have grandeur thoughts and tight restraints, especially with word limits. But my short answer is 'no' there aren't a minimum of words to write. Just be literate, stick to what I said just before and you should find you'll be writing a bunch of words before you realise that you've unleashed a small novel upon us. Of course you shouldn't feel pressured though to write until your hands fall off either. Be comfortable!
Hope that helps.. It's late here and I am in need of rest.
Re: Heroes Rise.
Although if you insist, I'll try my best, but I won't be able to guarantee posts with extravagant words nor feel. It's just that I have vocabulary of a young teen with no intense English studies. Describing isn't my forte, but I'm took on role-play as an entertainment and a training. (Wow, even sometimes I amaze myself at how much I'm actually typing)
Re: Heroes Rise.
I have a few characters to read over so far, i'm currently semi-busy with real life... But i'll endeavor to read them asap. I have read one or two and I can tell there is enthusiasm, and I will PM those of you who need to make one or two tweaks, and honestly, they are minor.
A lot of the characters are pushing their power boundaries and I ask you to carefully read over your character's and make sure they are balanced and fair. Even if they are evil. This RP will work best provided everyone is able to contribute fairly and honestly.
Re: Heroes Rise.
Nope, there are no specifications on races or kingdoms. This RP is the result of a number of people working out the story here - This Thread Explains what is expected to occur The whole point of this RP is to maximize on creativity and challenge us to work off one another's ideas in a sort of free-for-all. Predominantly however, I think Elves, Dwarves, Humans are three definite races, but we're open to anything new, as long as it is believable and makes sense in the scheme of things.
As for kingdoms, we all had the idea that the world would be something we created together.. if one person mentions a location, or describes the current scenery, we just go with what has been said and build upon it. That way we all contribute and stay invested in the story.
Heroes Rise.
The rules are standard and teeter on flexible and immovable. I am the GM but this RP is, as stated before, a collaborative effort that has been designed to have equal parts input across it's lifespan. The few things need to be adhered to with RP are, keeping your character balanced and believable in accordance to the current plot arc. Acknowledging other's posts and ideas, building upon them where possible, but also nurturing one another to create something we all invested and comfortable with.
