The first thing you'd see upon seeing Lilim is a very diminutive girl. She stands at a short height and her frame is thin and wiry, looking more like a doll than an actual human. Her hair is short, with a cute hairband above her bangs (usually pink or green), with the longest locks just barely grazing her jawline. Lilim seems almost paranoid of touching anything - she carries herself cautiously with fear and great care to prevent coming into contact with too many things. She looks like the type of person that's easily startled - weak and vulnerable. You'd be foolish to look at this pixie-like waif and consider her to be helpless.

All throughout her body are tiny electrodes, as thanks to her eel DNA, ready to electrocute you upon contact with an incapacitating electric shock. One touch and you'd easily be knocked out of the fight, assuming you even survived the initial zap. Though her bones are thin and frail, it's not a weakness - Lilim can deflate her belly to provide a pseudo-parachute-type effect when in the air, curtsy to her Chrysopela Snake DNA. Getting to the air's easy enough for her, with hardened skin and extra powerful legs that allow her to easily jump high into the air and deliver painful devastating kicks if her electricity didn't suffice. Last but not least, her Raven DNA adds an aerodynamic quality to her movements while afloat, increasing her aerial agility and mobility.

Despite not being physically strong, Lilim's a true terror to behold in a fight, being a natural EMP bomb that can short out many electronic appliances within a certain range if need be. She can quickly disable large amounts of opponents at a time with timed electric shocks, making fights easier for the rest of her allies if she had any. Not that she necessarily played a supporting role throughout the war - many times Lilim took to the front lines and took out primary defensive strongholds. This tiny girl is a large threat against human forces that rely on electronic technology, and is skilled at playing a supporting role for the rest of her team.

โฅ Acting Philosophical | Perhaps it's a superficial sort of thing, but Lilim likes to pose pseudo-thought provoking questions as a rhetoric. She doesn't really expect an answer, and considers it her way of complaining about the ways of the world.
โฅ Strategy | Unlike some other experiments who simply enjoy brute strength, Lilim's always been a fan of planning out tactics and formations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. She's a true strategist at heart, even without formal training.
โฅ Letting Loose | Although Lilim's usually benign, when she does get serious, she really creates chaos. Lilim enjoys chaos and destruction far too much than she'd like to admit. It's during those times that she's truly alive. Of course, letting loose also applies to sex - there's nothing quite so fun as intertwining bodies with another. It's more for comfort than for actual affection, though.
โฅ Being a victim This is more of a guilty, dark secret pleasure of hers that Lilim won't ever let anyone find out. She enjoys playing the role of the helpless little girl that did nothing wrong, and often becomes a martyr or a scapegoat for the others in the basement if it means she can be punished further.

โŒฆ Friends being punished | Maybe it's because Lilim cares, or maybe it's because she's jealous that it isn't her who's being abused. Oftentimes, Lilim has no idea which is which.
โŒฆ Greedy humans | Humans created them, used them, and then punished them for being used. Lilim will never stop antagonizing the scientists, no matter what.
โŒฆ Life | To Lilim, life is pain. It's too easy to end, which makes it worthless. Thus, Lilim believes that killing everyone is the kindest fate one could give.

โ˜›โ“†โ“Šโ’พโ“‡โ“€โ“ˆโ˜š
Self electrocution| Lilim likes to cut herself to remove the anti-electricity insulation, and then electrocute herself at times. Perhaps it's to activate her pain sensors, or maybe it's to keep her awake when she's tired. Sometimes, it's a quick way to send herself to sleep if she needs it. All in all, it's very useful.
Mental chess| To help pass the time, Lilim plays chess against herself in her head at times. Sadly, she wins as much as she loses.
Eye rub| Due to naturally dry eyes, Lilim rubs at them in discomfort quite often, though it rarely alleviates the feeling

โง

โ˜› โ“Œโ’บโ’ถโ“€โ“ƒโ’บโ“ˆโ“ˆโ’บโ“ˆ โ˜š
โŒฆ Empathy|More of a weakness than a strength, Lilim is very emphatic, allowing her to more easily sense and feel what others are feeling. When surrounded by the insane, this can only be a bad thing.
โŒฆ Hollow bonedWhile it makes gliding easier, it also makes it easier to eliminate her from a fight. She has no sustainability and can't withstand more than a single strong attack.
โŒฆ Futile rebelEven if it's meaningless, Lilim still wants to resist the humans as much as she can, truly despising them for what they did to her. Even if it only worsens her life, Lilim's satisfied as long as she can cause some kind of disruption.
โŒฆ LandlubberWhile she excels in the air, Lilim's naturally clumsy on foot and has trouble not breaking things in daily life.

โง

โ˜› โ“ˆโ“‰โ“‡โ’บโ“ƒโ’ผโ“‰โ’ฝโ“ˆโ˜š
โฅ Natural Radar| Lilim can easily smell people and tell where they are at a very far distance away, allowing her to act as a radar of sorts. This makes it easy for her to coordinate movements with the rest of her team to more effectively tackle battles.
โฅ Pain Tolerance| While not exactly pain tolerance, Lilim can transform the pain she feels into almost a sort of pleasure, thus making her much more versatile in combat. She's also naturally immune to electricity unless her skin is pierced through.
โฅ AerodynamicA mixture of incredibly high jumps, and a naturally floaty aerodynamic body makes for a ridiculously agile and quick-moving girl. With little to no effort she can traverse long distances while in the air, and can duck and weave to dodge enemy attacks while doing so.
โฅ TacticianWith her knowledge of formations, as well as being able to tell where enemies are, Lilim's skilled in planning out escapes and attacks with great skill and accuracy. She can force advantageous situations and plan out elaborate strategies for victory.

โง

โ˜› โ’ปโ’บโ’ถโ“‡โ“ˆโ˜š
Monophobia| Oddly enough, Lilim's always been afraid of being alone. She hates the idea of having no one to bounce ideas off of.
Arachnophobia | Perhaps a mundane fear, but Lilim always hated how their legs were so creepy and weird. It gives her the shivers.
Parturiphobia| The biggest fear for Lilim is to become pregnant and have to give birth. She doesn't know if she's fertile, but she hopes beyond hope that she isn't.

{โ˜› โ“…โ’บโ“‡โ“ˆโ“„โ“ƒโ’ถโ“โ’พโ“‰โ“Žโ˜š}
[~ Thoughtful | Masochistic | Rebellious | Loyal | Seductive | Chatty ~]

Perhaps the main trait that people would consider Lilim would be that she's incredibly thoughtful. Many ideas and deductions swirl in her head at a time, and she enjoys making theories of the world based on her experiences, almost acting philosophical and wise - or as wise as an experiment can be, at least. She acts like she understands the world, and can easily adapt her beliefs when confronted with conflicting data. She particularly enjoys babbling about philosophy to her peers, which may or may nor annoy them over time as she inevitably runs over similar thoughts many many times. Still, she never gets bored, even after pondering the meaning of life for the eightieth time in a row.

Another layer to Lilim's personality is that she loves thinking of herself as an innocent victim. When being punished or tortured in the basement, Lilim secretly enjoys the pain and the torment and considering herself in a role similar to a poor, pitiful, suffering martyr with no control over her fate. Perhaps it may be true - but Lilim over exaggerates everything as much as possible, demonizing the humans to hurt her, while making a hero out of her own pains. Many times, Lilim likes to cover for others in the basement and take on their tortures if it means she can be hurt yet again. It fills Lilim with a perversely satisfactory feeling that she can't quite put into words. It'd be easy to think of Lilim as a needy girl that sticks to her flock as if it meant life or death.

That isn't to say she doesn't have loyalties to her, however. Lilim thinks in clearly defined lines of "us" and "them", and despises everyone that identifies as human. She knows she's a monster and makes no excuse for it - but anyone who justifies their actions with weak excuses annoys her beyond all else - especially the scientists that created them in the first place. She resists them with all her might, using her abilities to destroy as much technology as she possibly can, to make life as hard as possible for the villains that made her in the first place.

{โ˜› โ’ฝโ’พโ“ˆโ“‰โ“„โ“‡โ“Ž โ˜š}
Lilim was born dead like many other subjects, and was willingly signed over to be experimented on by a naive grieving father that knew no better. Already, Lilim was a symbol of death - her birth resulted in the death of her mother, Alina, due to health complications that couldn't be resolved. Lilim was sent to a new group of experiments - scientists excited and overzealous by the idea of cold blooded egg laying creatures, decided to splice many different animals into her DNA in hopes of creating a true monster for the upcoming war. She was raised in a team with three others - a new specialized team heavily mixed with serpentine and avian DNA, to be an extremely vicious and brutal wave of death. Born from eggs, trained and manipulated with promises of reward - even taught things of a less savory nature in exchange for positive reinforcement, by some not-so-nice scientists - but whatever happened, Lilim was fine with it. As long as she had her family - her flock, nothing else truly mattered to her.
Growing up in a world of pain and abuse, Lilim quickly realized she took the pain worse than her three companions. Still, as if they knew she was weak, Lilim felt a faint sort of warmth and worry from them in her worst moments. She quickly became addicted to such affection, as it was the only real positive and happy thing she ever knew, and thus almost looked forward to being tormented, if it meant she was going to be coddled over by her flock. Only in moments like those did she feel as if their bonds were close, and she thrived on being hurt if it meant she could feel like a part of a family. So when she was eventually separated from the others and sent to a rehabilitation facility, she had an almost total mental breakdown from the lack of contact. Lilim relatively quickly used a shockwave of electricity to destroy cameras, disable the shock collars, and wake up all of the other subjects, plotting a large scale escape attempt that eventually failed and resulted in many executions and Lilim herself being sent to the basement. Still, she didn't regret a thing, as she was now reunited with the rest of her flock, despite the new pain and torments she'd have to endure.
And finally, when the bombs hit, a light at the end of the tunnel emerged, and Lilim crawled for freedom with her family.

Birds R Us

They had been weak, the humans were cowards tying them up and poking them from afar, drugging them to keep them useless. Then a miracle came along in the form of a bomb that shook the building to its very core, opening up the floor and revealing the sky. Slaine had never thought he would see light again, or feel the bitter cold on his skin. The chains, the chains were useless without their drugs. He ripped them from the walls, eager to leave, eager to taste and see and smell. He turned towards his family, the one that had been with him in this circle of hell. Slaine was so very proud, they were able to keep it together, mostly, through all of this. They ran, free from the devil called humanity, over the hills, through the woods, playing in the snow, in the sun, relishing the wind and chill that threatened to freeze over everything in beautiful ice that was so fragile a mere whisper could break it. Then there was a building, the ugly marring of humans once more. It was built of glass and mirrors, as though it were supposed to be reflecting the land around it. Instead, the mirrors cast heat on the land, causing the snow to melt.

Kachi was wary of this place; it was strange, and light. They had been in the dark for so long, that he at least had become used to it, knew how to use it to his advantage. But here in these twists and turns, it was light; there was no place to hide, to observe the threat from. It was dangerous. But they had to escape; they had to get out, away from where the scientists would harm them. He refused to allow them to harm his family any longer. So despite his tenseness, he stuck to Slaine and Lillim like glue, making sure to keep so close he could taste their scents on the air, and feel their warmth as living beings.

"Slaaaaaiiiiine...." An annoying shrill whine pierced their minds as the smallest of them complained yet again. "My feet hurt, Slaaaaiiiine. I don't wanna walk anymore! I just want to eat. I'm so hungry....!" Lilim felt a rush of energy as she anticipated the coddling from the tall, proud, and somewhat gullible 'mother' of sorts. Freedom and being spoiled? It was a good match. A very good day - though if Qing Yu were around too, it'd be even better. Qing Yu's strong, so she can take care of herself! My feet are aching!"

Slaine turned towards the tired girl. Lilim had always been so full of energy, it was sad to see her so easily weakened. "Jump on my back." Slaine offered. He would keep going, there were two things that drove him, that he had to do no matter what happened. The first was find food, food was priority. Down there, their only sustenance had come in the form of liquid meals and forced nutrients. The second priority? Qing Yu and Shun. Their two siblings were missing and Slaine would stop at nothing to have them all happily reunited. Kachi couldn't agree more, knowing the others thoughts on the matter without even having to question it - their only loyalty was to the Tori. Not those damnable humans who would dare lock his family away in the dark.

Lilim gladly climbed onto her older brother's back, making a pleased sound that was somewhere between a mewl and a purr. She snuggled close to Slaine's back, happily relieving herself of the pain in her feet. Perhaps Kachi was also tired - usually he'd have said something about her behavior, wouldn't he? Still, even if she was exhausted, their little family still wasn't whole yet. It wasn't as if the eel wasn't worried about them - she was, definitely. But, well... her feet really hurt. "Thank You! She said in a peppy voice, tilting her head upwards to see the gentle snow fall. With a sigh, Lilim relaxed herself. "...So, where do you think we should go? I..." A lazy and careless flick of the tongue brought no hint of either Qing Yu or Shun, but the snow seemed to be messing with her sense of smell anyways. "Yeah, I don't smell them anywhere."

Kachi too took in what he could; overly sharp eyesight and the heat sensing abilities of a snake told him that there was much heat, all around them, from dead fires; but none of them the right temperature to be a body.

Slaine turned the other boy, who was awfully silent. That was unusual. The building before them cast a large shadow, the mirrored walls distorting their reflections. It was almost invisible if not for the out of place garage and the doppelgangers staring back at them from their reflections. "That building may have food," Slaine nodded his head towards it, wondering what Kachi was thinking. Slaine was still kicking himself due to what had happened earlier, after their release. Qing had gotten taken, the humans had, had masks and gas, things that left them debilitated long enough to capture Qing. In the clamor, they had lost Shun as well. Two siblings, gone like that.

"Yeah, it does - I can taste something on the air that I recognize from the time I spent among the humans. I think they call it 'roast corn'. It's like... kinda sweet and warm, do you sense it?" Kachi answered back, inching yet further into the other two's personal space so that his shoulder brushed both of theirs as they walked, being careful not to put pressure that might unbalance the two.

Lilim's stomach then decided to growl loudly just as she was about to respond. With a quiet, almost meek voice, "...Yeah, I'd like to eat." She murmured. She tasted the air again, this time taking more care into actually processing the sense, noticing the corn mentioned by Kachi. Unfortunately it just made her feel more ravenous than before. Honestly, this was so much work and she wanted to take a break or something. In yet another whiny tone, "Can we eat? The others are strong, heck, Qing Yu probably killed them all, y'know her... so it should be fine... but I'm hungry..."

"Wait," Slaine tasted the air, he could tell that yes, there was corn, and something else too, something dangerous. "There are others here," they could kill them, no question they could take whoever was in that building down easily. The question was, who the others were? "I'm just as hungry as you guys, but in this condition... Should we risk it?"

"We need to get some food either way." Kachi murmured. "I saw outside through a window - the was nothing, just nothing, for miles. We need the strength to keep moving, otherwise, we'll die. Go in cautiously; Slaine, let down Lilim, we need to be able to move freely." Kachi warned gently, shifting his weight forward to quiet his footsteps in the hall, creeping cautiously to the doors that marked the entrance to where the food-scent was coming from. The hall was in ragged shape; no doubt from whatever had shaken the building so violently. One of the walls was cracked, there were no windows anywhere that were not shattered, and one of the doors was missing; Kachi took in the place with a critical eye, noting the glass, which one the one had could make a great weapon but the other could make them slip and injure themselves.

Slaine nodded his head, they did need to eat, that much was true. He placed Lilim down when they reached the door, walking on silent feet and following Kachi into the kitchen. It was an entire dining hall they walked into though, the entire area abandoned. Slaine went around every blind spot to ensure their safety before returning to the others, meanwhile Kachi had gone completely rigid the moment he was even a few feet away from the group, bristling even more the further away he got, not relaxing even slightly until Slaine had returned. "It's clear for now, we should eat quickly and look for things we can take with us." Slaine murmured once he had regrouped with them. They should store food as well, but Slaine was sure that in such a big place like this, there would be plenty of food to take with them.

Lilim was, unfortunately, forced to walk again for the time being, but at least it seemed that there was nothing yet to worry about. She followed her brothers as cautiously as she could, keeping an eye out for other things to carry with her. A bag or something would be convenient, to store looted things. She gave Kachi a squeeze of the hand to try and ease his new tension and began her hunt for food. Overturning cabinets and opening the white fridge, she eventually gathered up her loot in her stolen sweater and piled it onto a table, almost with a sense of expectant pride and a desire for praise. Feeling satisfied, her thoughts started to spin. "Humans are stupid." Lilim said cheerfully. "Why make a place like this if no one lives here? Isn't it a waste of space?"

Slaine shook his head. "I will never understand humans," he replied to Lilim, "they are experts of waste."

Kachi, or his part, just gave them a glance, again testing the air. That was his role after all; he was the one who protected them. It annoyed him slightly that they would speak so casually in such a situation, but then again it was also a good thing; the alternative was that they would be terrified, in this unknown place. Kachi narrowed his eyes a faint scent that he recognized tinted the air, hidden beneath smoke and dust. He opened his mouth a bit to draw the scent in more deeply, and then recognizing it at last, stilled for a moment before abandoning their place of safety that they had been observing from and quickly but silently making his way towards the door, the other two right behind him.

______
Was that a sound? Of course, it had to have been. This sound wasn't a typical one, not like the ones Shun was used to anyway. This was different, louder, more abrupt. It awoke him from his sanctuary of dreams. As his eyes slowly fluttered open he glanced around to see that something big had indeed transpired. With a yawn and a stretch Shun rose to his feet, the chains that had bound him lay broken, he figured that was a side effect of whatever had happened. It was odd though, he felt frozen in time for a moment, trying to gather his thoughts and process what he needed to do now. Should he try to locate the others? His so called siblings? Or should he just make his way to freedom and then back home. He wasn't sure how that would work though, he hadn't really ever been beyond this one room in his whole life. Well, standing here thinking wouldn't get him home, his siblings were all strong, much more so than him. 'Maybe if I win over my fellows they can help me get back. Or at least keep me alive long enough to get there.' He thought as he stepped outside his room for the first time. What awaits me now?

Shun meandered around the building, well what was left of it anyway. He briefly felt a pang of fear, what if he never found the others? Whatever had happened here had been very recent and he was totally alone, still inside the compound. His eyes darted around for an opening big enough for him to climb out of, he thought maybe if he made it outside it'd be easier. Well if nothing else then he could just run off in one direction and hopefully find something, anything to help him. To his great displeasure he was having trouble finding a hole in the walls large enough for him, the hallway to the left of his room had been blocked off by rubble. Sighing and resting his head against the wall he felt the tight grip of defeat settling around his heart. Being alone was alright, but being alone and vulnerable was not. Looking to the remaining hallway, the only way not blocked off, he started off. Hoping that if he walked long enough he'd eventually get out and maybe find the others.

His footfalls became more of a trudge than a saunter like usual. His breath was becoming labored. He must've been walking for days now! Well, more like fifteen minutes, but time was certainly slower. Grumbling quietly to himself Shun made his way towards a smell that seemed to be coming from some sort of food. A smile painted his face as his trudging became a sprint. One thought happily dominated his mind. Food. He made his way quickly to the smell, he found it the kitchen. Most of the food was gone but there seemed to be some sort of. . . Corn? He didn't care at this point and began eating it hungrily. He made sure to eat as much as he could hold. Who knew when he'd be able to eat again. Why, for all he knew this could be his last meal!
______

Slaine's tongue flickered, he tasted something awfully familiar. He turned to search for it, but what he was tasting and what he was seeing were two different things. Could it really be Shun? Seeing Slaine suddenly turn after a tongue flick meant something must've changed. Lillim followed suit and the vague new aroma floated through her sensations that felt almost unmistakable. "It's him." She said in a helpful whisper, nudging Slaine's side. "Let's go say hi!" Slaine's pace picked up. He walked, his footfalls silent in case it wasn't Shun after all but rather a remaining human. Slowly, he turned the corner, the smell of corn overwhelming the smell of his brother. Slaine straightened, peering out cautiously from behind a wall. It was him! "Shun!" The boy stepped fully out from behind the wall, relieved to have been reunited.

Kachi instantly darted over once it had been confirmed that the scent was truly Shun's, circling him once as he checked the air again. โ€œAre you alright?โ€ He demanded quickly.

As Shun had been eating corn like there was no tomorrow, he almost had missed the declaration. A voice had pierced his stupor. His eyes slowly flickered up to see his siblings. Blinking a few times before slowly setting down his fourth demolished corn cob. Kachi started circling him and Shun just sort of shrunk away. He did the routine 'are you alright?' bit. Shun just sort of watched everyone with his eyes, cautiously scanning over them. He wondered briefly if they would attack him if he claimed he was wounded or sick. He'd better not show any weakness toward his siblings. "I'm fine. Better now. Are you all alright?"

Kachi gave him a slightly dry look. "Of course I am." He responded, arching one brow.

"My feet hurt!" Lilim added in an irritating whine.

Kachi gave her a lingering glance. "Well, you'll have to wait a bit longer to rest Lil. We're in danger here; we have to find supplies and the others and get out, as quickly as we can."

The eel puffed out her cheeks in annoyance but shrugged. "Fine, fiiine. Sheeeesh." She acquiesced. "...It's good to see you again, Shun!" She offered him an amicable wave.

A smile crept onto Shun's face as Kachi spoke, then he made his way closer to them. Kachi relaxed slightly as he neared, his birdlike internal compass straightening a bit as another piece of the flock returned. Next was supplies then. Kachi turned to scan the room again. It looked as if the kitchens had been on the other side of some kind of glass wall, which was now shattered; no doubt the storage areas would be back there.

"This way." He motioned, and then started towards the space, leaping easily up on the counter and perching there on the tips of his toes as the others passed by, watching their backs, keeping his attention riveted on the entrances.

Kachi seemed to have everything well under control. Such a good little flock leader, a father-figure to protect us. Right. Shun walked among his siblings, his flock. He couldn't help but feel a bit relieved to finally not be alone. His instincts told him this was by far a better situation for him to be in, his stubborn brain didn't think the same. Luckily for him, the instincts were stronger by far. Guess that's what animal blood will do for you. Shun figured that they were still short a few people, which might explain why Kachi seemed a bit torn, clearly very focused but he was on a mission for sure. Shun's eyes drifted over to the small female. Lilim. He couldn't help but smile at her, he thought if maybe she was anything like his own sister.

"I'm so happy to see you in one piece." Slaine was happier to see the kitchen though. He gave Shun a nod and began ransacking, taking out cans, going through the oven, raiding the fridge. It was as though someone had left mid-meal, a whole roasted chicken and side dishes left to the side, forgotten on their rush to leave. Good, better for them that they would be able to at least relax for a minute as they devoured whatever food had been left over. Lilim eyed Slaine curiously, staring at the half-eaten meals. "What do you think happened? Did they die, maybe?" She had a quizzical expression. "Could they come back maybe? We should hurry, right?"

Slaine was unsure. He placed the chicken in front of them and tore off a leg. "I don't know." Slaine spoke honestly. He crunched through bone, devouring meat. "Maybe," he spoke through his mouthful of food. "They were inside of the rehab center when it blew up?"

The eel seemed somewhat disappointed about that possibility, picking her own piece of chicken and staring at it before taking a small nibble, holding it like one would hold a cob of corn. "No fair." She pouted childishly. "I wanted us to kill them! Slaine, it's not faaiiiir!"

Shun perked up slightly. "we wouldn't have to kill them. . . Right Slaine? We aren't gonna kill anyone?" Shun was feeling a little uneasy, he had never really fought before. He didn't like the idea of fighting in a life or death situation. Not really at all actually. Lilim shot him an annoyed glower. "Boring." She mumbled quietly. The glare was well received and Shun subtly closed his mouth and waited.

"Only if we have to. If we just killed them for no reason, we would be no better than the humans who kill for no reason as well." Kachi said, leaping down off the counter and going straight to the supply cabinets, searching though them until he found a large cloth food bag, and then checked each of the spaces in the small kitchen for foods they could take with them. "I will not let them stop us from getting the hell out of here though." He continued after a moment, with pure determination, glancing at each of his family members in turn.

Lilim grinned loftily at Kachi's words, feeling somewhat pleased as she took another tiny bite from the chicken. "Weeelll...." Her voice gained a sing-song quality as she regarded her brother."They did try to separate us, so it's only fair to separate them, isn't it?" Her eyes narrowed slightly as she enjoyed another bite. "Why not hurt them back?"

"They made us hurt," Slaine whispered. "They made us monsters, why shouldn't we repay them in kind?" Normally, Slaine would agree with Kachi, but the human scientists were where their views differed. Slaine didn't think these humans deserved to live, not after the way they had tortured them in that basement. Poking and prodding, chaining and caging, treating them like animals. It wasn't as though they had asked to be brought onto this planet. No, the Tori were made forcefully, there was never a choice in their existence.

As Slaine spoke, dashing the comfort Kachi had brought Shun felt a lump in his throat. He couldn't understand why his siblings were so bloodthirsty. Yes, the humans were bad sure, but not all of them were evil. True, they made us into what we are, they caused a lot of pain but. . .Killing them, wouldn't that just mean they won? That they succeeded in making monsters? Shun didn't like it one bit. He glanced around the messy room and sighed. He knew if they came up on humans Lil and Slaine would try and hurt them.

Kachi's eyes dimmed a bit, and he set down the bag by on the floor and walked over to Slaine, carefully carding a hand through the others' hair, a gesture imprinted on him by his bird instincts. "But if we take the time to do that, it just makes us caged longer Slaine. We can't let them have that hold on us, no matter what kind of one it is; wanting to get revenge will just make us stay near them to do it. It's still a cage. Yes, they deserve it, but I think the best revenge would be to completely be free." Kachi explained, tipping his head at the other.

The eel let out a heavy sigh as she listened to Kachi. Unfortunately it made sense, but seeing Slaine like this bothered her too. Maybe by killing the humans, Slaine would be happier. Maybe it'd make him get that look out of his eyes. She grabbed at his hand and squeezed it tenderly, then turned to stare back at Kachi with a frown. "...Who cares about winning or losing?" She murmured, deliberately not understanding. "They put us in the cage, so shouldn't they pay the price?"

Shun decided to speak. "No. They shouldn't. We are in no place to bring justice. We have no authority in what's right, our whole lives we've just been wronged. Now we need to just leave this place and try again." Shun narrowed his eyes at Lilim, she was very set on this revenge thing, even after Kachi had ended it. Or at least he had for Shun, the guy made sense. "But at any rate us standing around here talking and arguing isn't getting us any closer to the freedom we all deserve."

"It's not freedom without Qing Yu." Lilim growled in an almost threatening tone. "I'm not sure if you know, but they took her, didn't they? What if they're hurting her right now? I won't let them get away with it."

Kachi gave the girl an annoyed look over his shoulder. "As if I would just let them have her." He murmured under his breath.

Shun watched the small girl carefully, choosing his words. "She's most likely fine. She's very strong. She can for sure make it until we find her." Shun said making his way away from the girl, trying to make it look natural. The look she was giving him was making him start to sweat a bit. She wouldn't attack him right? She just found him, another member of the flock. She wouldn't. . . Or would she. Shun didn't care to find out. Being around Tori, just like him, made him paranoid already. Now one was being hostile. It didn't sit well. Maybe I should've stayed in my room.

With a frustrated sigh, the eel grabbed Shun's hand in her other, squeezing it as well. "No." She said plainly. She was still angry, but she wanted Shun to at least be happy that they reunited. They were, after all, family, weren't they? "How about we kill the humans who took Qing Yu.... and leave the not involved ones alone. Does that make you happy?"

It didn't. Although it seemed only fair. They took someone obviously dear to this child, it would be understandable for this girl to act in such a way. Shun crinkled his nose and managed a slight smile looking at their locked hands. Honestly he wasn't that comforted, but he was more than he had been before so he allowed himself to relax slightly. "If you feel you must." Shun said with a tired sigh.

Slaine's hands balled into fists. Kachi knelt before him, speaking calmly, rationally. It sometimes made Slaine frustrated, but it was nothing he didn't understand. Slaine leaned his head against Kachi's chest. "You're right, if we kill them, we only play further into their hand." He hated to admit it, but in this case, they would have to preserve life, even if it was one he didn't like. "If they hurt Qing Yu, I won't hold back." That much was a promise. Slaine turned to look at Kachi, wondering how he managed to stay so frustratingly calm even when no one else could. "We should eat and go, I smell something that's making me uneasy."

Kachi nodded, and reluctantly stepped away from Slaine to return to packing the bag.

Once Lillim was finished with the chicken, a new idea burst into mind. Setting aside the matter of killing humans, what Lilim wanted now was something sweet to sate her tongue. Sure, they had to hurry... but she really wanted some candy. Something to suck on and to make her mouth feel moisturized. "I want candy." Her voice went back to it's childish whine. So she hunted through the room, deciding to temporarily ignore the rest of the Tori. She wouldn't be able to convince them anyways. Finally she found a pouch of what seemed to be sour candies and pocketed a handful before shoving the rest into the bag. With a happy expression, the eel sucked on one, enjoying the explosion of flavor. "Slaine, my feet still hurt. Carry me?"

Kachi gave Lillim an exasperated look. "Lil, enough. We have to run; we can't be carrying you around now. Toughen up; you can rest once we're safe all you want."

Lilim glared at Kachi, trying to talk but only strange muffled sounds came out as her tongue was blocked by the candy. She instead stuck her tongue out stubbornly and turned her head away, looking pleadingly at Slaine.

"It's alright Kachi, I'll carry her." Slaine replied, getting to his feet. He washed the grease from the chicken off of his fingers and decided he was going to look around for boots or shoes, at least something to protect their feet. "We should find clothing, we shouldn't expose ourselves to the cold without some protection."

Shun watched mommy and daddy arguing over the baby. A deep groan escaped his throat. Shun moved by the whiny little girl and looked toward the way the others had com in through. "We're going back out the way you all came in right? Because from the way I come from is blocked by ceiling pieces." Shun leaned up against the wall.

Kachi pressed his lips into a thin line and let the issue go - they didn't have the time to debate over it. He picked up the awkward bag and slung it over his shoulder, double-checked that they were all there, and turned back towards the entrance; only to freeze in place as he saw someone standing in it, blocking their way out.

"Well, damn." He hissed under his breath, shooting another glare at Lilim for distracting him. This was exactly why her little act of being weak was so annoying; it put Slaine and Shun in danger this time, and now they were going to have to risk injury fighting their way out. Wonderful just wonderful.

Was it ridiculous to feel jealous of a stuffed bear? Yes. Did that mean she didn't feel it? No. Alice crossed her arms, kicking a piece of shattered window left in the hallway. Alice took off her clothing in rebellion, leaving them in a pile by the door. There, that would show that stupid Ophie. She was about to leave when a terribly guilty feeling crept up her spine and Alice groaned, putting her clothes back on. The bat went exploring, going through rooms and hallways and into places she probably shouldn't. Somehow she ended up in a little girl's room and Alice rummaged through the closet, stealing clothing for herself that she liked better than the ones Lucy picked. She left Lucy's in a pile, putting on articles that were much more comfortable. As she pawed through piles of seemingly random girly items, a cat eared headband conveniently fell on her head almost perfectly. Alice hissed, jumping out of the closet, ready to attack anything that came her way.

Satisfied that the threat of falling clothes had been neutralized, Alice turned to look at what else was in the room. She went through the drawers, dumping out random human belongings that meant nothing to her and tore up the bed in search of something entertaining when something on a shelf caught her eye. It was a stuffed rabbit. An evil idea sneaked into the recesses of her mind, causing a grin to splay onto Alice's lips. She climbed onto the dresser, retrieving the stuffed animal and tucking it underneath her arm. Alice could almost see why Ophie liked Teddy, the rabbit made a good arm rest. "What should I name you?" Alice held the rabbit out, narrowing her eyes in thought. "I know! Poofy!"

Yes, Poofy. Alice tucked the toy back underneath her arm, satisfied and exited the room, going down the hall, skipping along, blissfully unaware of the cat headband on her head. "Kill, kill, kill." Alice sing-songed as she went along, appearing happy. Then she stopped, her stomach growling. Should she ask Ophie for blood? Alice debated, arguing with her inner monologue over going back and simply accepting Teddy as apart of their alliance. Alice pursed her lips in a growl, no, she would not accept Teddy. So the pink haired bat continued on her way, hoping to find the kitchen. She followed her nose, sniffing the air and smelling-was that chicken?

Alice's stomach growled audibly. With a sudden burst of energy she ran downstairs and through the hallway, greeted by the sight of an empty cafeteria. Her nose picked up the far too familiar scent of danger. Alice growled, slowly entering the dining room. It appeared as lifeless as the rest of the mansion aside from some kicked over chairs and what appeared to be blood dried on the floor. Alice frowned, she couldn't lick up blood from the floor, that was gross. If there was a body nearby though, Alice would be happy to suck them dry.

"If you're here, put your hands up and surrender!" Alice held the rabbit out like a weapon. She looked nonthreatening wearing a pair of cat ears and holding out a toy until you noticed the blood red eyes and teeth sharpened like knives.

Lucy could tell that Alice and Ophie had gotten close during their time with the cult, sharing a near death experience would do that to two in the same position. She hadn't realized just how close until she saw Alice's look of jealousy at an inanimate object. The scientist worked to fix Teddy by putting him in a magic machine that made him toasty warm that Lucy recognized as a towel warmer. Unlike the younger generation, Lucy had been given a proper education. She was taught to read and write, what her targets looked like, what harmless things operated in the human world and a towel warmer was among them. There were other incredibly useful human inventions like microwaves, lamps, and of course, the shower.

Speaking of which, Lucy desperately needed one. "I'll be back. Amber, watch the scientist for me and for the love of all that is holy and for the sake of our future, don't kill him. He's the only one that can make the serum." Lucy stood and went to find a bathroom. It was incredibly easy locating one, she found a room that looked as though a family had possibly dwelt in it beforehand and entered the bathroom, taking off her clothes and scrubbing down her skin and hair under a pulsating stream of warm water. It felt good to be clean and Lucy rummaged around for clothes that would fit, returning to the lab, pleased to find that the scientist was still alive. He was sitting in the corner, playing with something Lucy recognized as a phone. There was no signal this far out though, so no need to worry about him contacting anyone for help.

Something odd prickled her senses, a smell that was unfamiliar and snake like. She narrowed her eyes, poking her head out the door. The hallway was far too quiet, where had Alice gone? "Ophie, why don't you go look for Alice?" Lucy suggested. She would stay here with the scientist and Amber just in case it proved to be a trick by the human.

No response came from the kitchen. Alice got on all fours, instinctively starting to take off her clothes. She shook her head, remembering Ophie didn't like it when she was naked in front of others and put her hands down, slowly creeping closer to the place that smelled weird. Alice had abandoned the stuffed rabbit, the thing was weird anyways and she didn't understand why Ophie clung to Teddy like a safety blanket.

Slaine had hushed the others, knowing that they were being loud. He had smelled the imminent threat, but hadn't expected it to come so soon. Kachi, Lilim, Shun, they were all the people he needed to protect and so Slaine prepared himself. He could hear it creeping closer, no doubt on all fours. One of those bloody older generations. Slaine smiled, there was no warmth in it though, a rare sight from the boy that was normally full of affection for his family. The claws were out, mama bear was ready to kill whatever came their way. He stepped out of the kitchen, hoping she would believe he was the only one. The door swung shut behind him and Slaine stepped into full view. "Fine, here I am." It was a little girl with pink hair, behind her a stuffed animal had been abandoned. It was a pipsqueak about as tall as Lilim, her eyes were piercing, like snakes.

Alice gave no warning, she merely attacked, sinking her sharp teeth into his neck. Slaine stumbled back, falling against the wall and sinking down. She was drinking his blood, slurping it up like some sort of greedy animal. He pushed a finger into her jaw, prying her teeth out. Alice jumped back as he swiped, wiping the remaining blood from her lips. A devilish grin lit up her face, red eyes hungry for a fight. "Why are you here? This is my territory." Alice asked, lying. It wasn't her territory, it was the scientist's but she didn't take kindly to intruders. "You don't taste human, who are you?"

Slaine got to his feet, blood dripping between his fingers. Alice licked her lips, she was still hungry, she wanted more. "My name is Slaine," he replied, wondering if the others could hear the struggle, hoping that they couldn't. It seems that years of being chained and beaten had made him a bit rusty, but Slaine could still fight. "And you won't kill me." He leaped and the girl dodged, doing some sort of fancy flip and kicking him in the stomach. Alice went in for another punch but Slaine moved, ducking and hitting her in the jaw. The girl stumbled back, growling. She was good, if Slaine could convince the others, they could use her. He would let Kachi torture her first, they would have to break her in order for her to become useful.

Alice leaped once more, fast like lightning. She delivered a series of powerful kicks and punches, some of which Slaine dodged, others striking him, laying him flat on his back. "Why are you really here?" Alice asked, her words almost as sharp as her teeth. Slaine shrugged from his position on the floor, about to sit up when she placed a foot on his chest, pushing down to keep him from standing. "Shelter, food, what the hell do you think?" He asked, indicating to the white uniform he had yet to strip of. Alice narrowed her eyes, "Escaped, just like you." Alice didn't move her foot. She leaned forward, sniffing him. "Who are the others?" Slaine's eyes widened and Alice knew she had gotten him. Hook, line, sinker.

"They're in the kitchen." She lifted her foot, storming towards the swinging doors. Slaine scrambled to hi feet, chasing after her. "Hey wait!" He grabbed the collar of her jacket, lifting Alice off of her feet. He held her a few inches in the air, not high enough that if he dropped her it'd hurt, but high enough that if she tried to put her tip toes on the ground she couldn't reach. "They're not as nice as me." He warned, knowing that Kachi would try to slit her throat as soon as he saw her. "I'm not too worried," Alice replied, eyeing him. Slaine scowled, she was fast that was something.

"Listen-"

"Alice."

"Alice, they aren't experiments you want to, ow! You freakin-!" Alice had kicked his shin, not once, but twice. Slaine dropped her and the girl bolted for the door, bursting into the kitchen. "Shit," Slaine mumbled, running in after her. "Guys this is Alice, this is her territory." He explained quickly. Alice leaped onto the counter, opening a cabinet and getting inside, crawling through until all of the contents had been dumped. Slaine shook his head, "Now that I think about it I don't think she belongs here either." The girl's face lit up, she bit directly into a can, then frowned, confused as no food came out. "Oh for heaven's sake." He shok his head, "Give me that." Slaine reached for the can but she hissed. Slaine grabbed it from Alice's grip, taking out a can opener and peeling it open.

Alice's face lit up, she grabbed the can from Slaine without so much as a thank you, slurping down its contents. Slaine turned to the others, "She's a good fighter." He murmured, hoping Kachi would catch on to what he was implying. "Fast."

"Faster than you." Alice taunted from her position in the cabinet. She took the can opener from Slaine and another can, trying to get it open.

Something had happened, didn't it? Lilim took Kachi's hand and pulled him back from whatever was there, this unfamiliar scent. Not quite human, but not exactly like the tori, either. Slaine seemed to be taking charge, but Lilim wouldn't let her guard down. Her body crackled with electricity, waiting, waiting, until finally, a pink-haired girl with bat wings appeared. Lilim's first instinct was to attack, to shock pinkie and get her away from everyone, but Slaine seemed to have things control the way a big brother should. Territory? That didn't make sense. Lilim licked the air, tasting, and this was the first sign of her smell since they entered. If this was her territory, the pink girl would have left more traces of herself around.

"She's lying!" Lilim whispered to Kachi, unhelpfully. "We got here first, hmpf!"

Then Slaine and Alice were fighting, the bat was quick but Slaine was Slaine and of course Slaine got the upper hand - or so the eel thought. Then the bat girl was going around, trying to eat out of the thing, the can thing - needing big brother Slaine to open it for her, the idiot! Lilim felt like laughing a little, feeling superior over the bat girl who called herself Alice. The eel was about to explain to Slaine that no, this wasn't her territory, but he seemed to piece it together, anyways.

With Alice focused on the can, Lilim saw her chance, ignoring the pain in her ankles and feet. She wanted to be useful, she wanted to get some action - it has been ages since the last time she got to actually fight! Most of the time the littlest sister was always on the side lines, letting the stronger ones get most of the action. Lilim wanted to show off that she, too, was a weapon of war! She threw a bag of candy at the bat. "My name is Lilim!" She said in a cheerful voice, then jumped at the bat, her entire body prickling as currents of electricity coursed through her skin. If she could shock Alice, then she wouldn't be so fast, would she?

Shun was busy observing his fellows in the kitchen, eyeing them all carefully, trying to pickup on anything about them. Kachi was intimidating, his animals were so fierce and murderous compared to his own. Perhaps if he befriended the youngest one, the Lilim, he would get in with the rest of them. However his intimate observations were interrupted by a small pink haired child bursting in, Slaine was overpowered by her. The sheer ferocity this child had within her was truly impressive. Shun ran a hand through his hair watching her as Lilim stepped up acting all tough.

"Whoa, whoa everyone needs to settle down I think this can all be explained. Rationally without any more violence?" He asked nervously not wanting to see the two small girls go at it, as Shun could see Lilim was prickling with electricity, and he had seen the other girl fight off Slaine. This whole situation was becoming a lose-lose deal. Well for him at least. Stepping up in front of Lilim, Shun puffed out his chest. "Alice. . .Right? I am Shun-Bai Lo. A very formidable adversary indeed. So, be warned!" He put one arm out with his fingers splayed wide as the other fell on his hip. Then he smirked, closing his eyes. "However, if you were to join us we could benefit very much from each other. You see I have knowledge of healing that you could use and my friends here. . .They also have unique skills. So, if you join us we can protect you and you can be part of a family. You're choice! The easy way... Or," He cracked his knuckles and tried to look menacing, "The hard way."

So big bro Shun got up and started talking and it made Lilim and annoyed. This was dumb, wasn't it just so dumb? They didn't need this girl, who needed a stupid bad? the tori were good as they were, once they had Qing Yu back and safe everything would be okay. They were a family, who needs outsiders, huh? Lilim hissed angrily at Shun, her whole body crackling with electricity. Why did her attack miss Alice so easily? This was frustrating! Maybe it'd be funner if Alice was willing to actually fight her. The pain would feel nice and it'd make Slaine get all protective again in ways Lilim really liked.

"We don't need her in the family, Slaine." Lilim said, full of hostility. Perhaps luckily it seemed the bat didn't seen as if she wanted to join, either, which was just as good. Even if she had her own family, that didn't matter. She was the one who attacked first, and they were wasting stupid time sitting around when they could've been trying to find and save Qing Yu from the stupid humans, the hated humans.

Lilim sat and ignored Slaine and Alice's talking - it was pointless anyways, she didn't like the bat at all. And then things got interesting when Slaine caught her in a trick that only a stupid could fall for. A grin grew on the eel's face as she watched the bat struggle and yell, and she knew immediately what Slaine was planning. With a wide and eager smile, Lilim hopped her way over to the bat, jumping on her to have full body contact. "Let's be good friends!" Lilim said and released her strongest non-fatal voltage that was enough to stun a full grown human for hours, knocking him unconscious. It felt amazing, the electricity and static coursing through her body, conducting into the bat's.

"It's time to figure out what you know, isn't it, you dumb bat!" Lilim said triumphantly, panting hard after using up so much energy in the shock. "Our family wins every time!"

Everything was falling apart so fast. Shun didn't want to hurt Alice, he wanted to get her on board! Before Shun could even react his siblings were in motion, Slaine was giving commands to Lilim to be ready to shock her. Shun wanted to stop them before they got a chance but his legs froze. Horror struck his heart. Watching his more beastly siblings attack this innocent girl. Then Alice started screaming. Her small voice labored with intense pain. Something inside of Shun clicked into place. Memories of years ago, a similar scream, drove him into action.

Shun sprinted up, pushing the proud Lilim away from Alice and yanking the beaten down Slaine away from her and kicking him squarely in the chest, knocking him back a bit. He now stod in front of the injured Alice, and in one quick motion dropped into an agile fighting stance, pulled twin medical needles out of his sleeves, and crossed them defensively in front of him in and X. His usually friendly features were twisted with rage as he eyed his siblings. He knew this whole situation was wrong and if his siblings were to team up on a small girl like Alice, then...He didn't want to be their siblings at all!

"Stay away from her! I'm sure you all know what's inside these needles... Because I know the scientists used this on you all! I managed to swipe some a few weeks ago. Glad I did too. You come near us, or try to harm Alice. . . I'll jam these needles in your throat so fast you won't know what hit you." Shun snarled at them, fully ready to administer the lethally high-dosage of sedatives he had swiped to his siblings if they charged him. He wasn't sure why he was acting so strongly, he faintly remembered something from a long time ago that filled him to the brim with rage unlike any other. Enough to overcome any instinct or cowardice.

Lilim was tired - she didn't remember the last time she just sat down and relaxed. With that stupid Alice deal with for the time being, there wasn't much else to worry about. So she relaxed, making a happy face in Slaine's direction when Shun suddenly yanked her off of her prey, knocking the eel into the corner as the coward yelled for Alice's sake, threatening with needles and things he stole from the scientists. Lilim was confused, she didn't understand. "Aren't you on our team, Shun?" Lilim asked, head tilted slightly. "We're a family! Family doesn't betray family!" Alice was an enemy, wasn't that what mattered? The eel couldn't understand what Shun was saying at all, and from Slaine's expression, he also didn't seem to be happy at all.

"Alice lies." Lilim hissed territorially, getting back to her feet, snarling angrily. "Don't trust her, she's not one of us!" As the little eel moved towards Shun, she was suddenly interrupted by someone screeching, latching onto her back and slamming her head onto the floor with an angry snarl. It was a small girl, small like she was, eyes furious and almost glowing in outrage.

"Alice is Ophie's!" The new girl hissed and before Lilim could react or do anything at all she felt a strange yet incredibly durable substance wrap around her, and Lilim was lifted up into the air by the neck - it was getting incredibly hard for her to breathe and she struggled, blood trapped in her skull as the arteries were blocked. Lilim sent a jolt of electricity as she struggled, but it seemed the spider already separated the thread from herself, thus her attack had no effect. She dangled in the air, suffocating, struggling, and the spider tackled Shun next, tearing the bat from his grip.

"You're not allowed to touch her!" She growled, hugging the pink haired bat to her like a doll. The spider then yanked on a new thread, and Lilim was pulled from her noose - but once again was dragged in another direction, closer to the spider who was retreating. "The little one's mine now! Ophie will kill her if you get close, okay?" The spider glanced behind her, where another boy was, probably from the same family, someone with green eyes. "Ambrose, let's go!"

Lilim couldn't talk or move, not with all of the webs covering her entire body, still tight on her throat, making her head spin as air was blocked off in her throat. If she could, however, Lilim would be laughing, because this felt amazing! This was so fun! How worried would Slaine be, how afraid would he be for her? Pleasure rose up deep within the eel's body as she quivered in delight.

"Ophie?" The things happened so quickly that Ambrose just barely got a grasp on them. Ophie was trying to find Alice, so she broke up with Vittoria then slit her wrist, trying to use blood to lure Alice out. It was a rather confusing series of actions. Oh, this just got more interesting. Amber smirked from his position next to Ambrose, watching Ophie's actions with nonchalant amusement. She simply walked off, ignoring the three of them as she let out a string of near crazed laughter. Well, aren't you going to follow her? Ambrose snapped out of his trance as Amber spoke again, gesturing toward Ophie as she headed off, still laughing hysterically. "Mm." Ambrose was a little worried for Ophie when she was in that state, it was pretty obvious that Alice was quite important to her to cause her to act like that. Then let's go. Amber's form breezed past him, easily stepping right through Vittoria and the stranger. It was moments like those that Ambrose actually remember the fact that Amber was jut a figment of his imagination.

It wasn't hard to follow the drops of blood that Ophie left, and Ambrose soon found himself following the girl to a door, only to find a group of strangers once again. They seemed to be hurting Alice, but before he could react Ophie was already on one of the youngest in the room, webbing her and stringing her up to the ceiling. Wasn't it suffocating? It's not the time to think of that right now, Ami. Focus. Alice is hurt. Let me out so I can take revenge on them for hurting one of our own. Amber stood a few steps ahead of him, his red eyes burning with what looked like hunger, a small appreciative smile dancing on his lips at Ophie's work. "It's not time yet, I can handle this." Ambrose blinked back the red haze, forest green eyes flitting around the room. Ophie had taken a hostage, and Ambrose grabbed the thread that the girl was dangling by quickly when Ophie beckoned him. "Ah, yes!"

Why was it all of a sudden that everything was going to crazy town? Slaine and Lilim were yelling at him, once and awhile he'd glance back at Alice to make sure she was okay. Then before Shun could do anything Lilim was lifted in the air and two new people emerged. It was like people were just popping out of the woodwork like condensation. Shun's mind boggled a moment taking it all in as yet another tiny person walked by him and snatched Alice, still at the ready to strike Shun addressed her. She was dragging Lilim and Alice away.

"H-hey! stop you'll kill her!" Shun shouted after her. His legs quivered in fear as he realized these new people were way beyond his skill level and the dosages he had wouldn't be enough for these new people. All his courage abandoned him and he rushed over to Slaine. He helped his brother up and watched.

"We have to get Alice and Lilim back, can you walk?" Shun watched the two people intently as he helped Slaine. He wasn't sure why but he had to get Alice back. No matter what.

Everything went to hell pretty quickly, first Shun seemingly betrayed them, standing up for the girl they were going to use to fight for them (and well, Slaine was going to let her be Lilim's pet), then another girl came in, sending Slaine flying into a cabinet and hanging Lilim from the ceiling. "Stop!" Slaine screamed but before he could really comprehend what happened the spider girl took both Alice and Lilim, hissing and spitting as she left. Slaine blinked, confused for a moment before Shun stood before him, saying they had to get them back. Slaine got to his feet, unable to comprehend the full extent of what in the heck had just gone down.

"We'll get Lilim back," Slaine growled, walking out of the kitchen. Where had Kachi gone? He had slipped out sometime before and Slaine hadn't seen him since and so, Slaine had taken over position of both father and mother but he felt as though he were failing. Lilim, his sweet little sister had been taken by that spider and Slaine was going to make her pay. Bio electricity came off of him in waves, causing the amount of static in the air to raise. "If you want that pink haired brat you have to take care responsibility for her." He said, becoming mother again for the moment. "You know feeding, walking, all that staff. That falls on you." He looked back at Shun, shaking his head. Slaine couldn't blame Shun for acting like that, they were being a bit cruel.

He could smell her, Lilim, following the spider's tracks and webs. "Don't worry, we'll get her back."

Ophie was happy! They were back in the lab, the weird little girl was all webbed up and she couldn't move, suspended in the air by her arms and legs, though she didn't look as if she was very bothered by the predicament. Alice was safe again, and Lucy was there too, doing some weird medically thing with the bat that Ophie didn't understand. Ambrose was also there, doing Ambrose-like-things, so the spider decided it was as good a time as any to try to get information. There were still those three men to deal with, if they wanted to save the little one here, right? Ophie would need to know more, need to know how to kill them. She already had web traps all over the room, waiting to be sprung at first notice.

"What is your name?" Ophie gave the prisoner a hard stare. The girl gave a little giggle, seemingly excited for something, but didn't answer, didn't say anything at all. Well, that was annoying, wasn't it? That was super dumb! Ophie wasn't happy, not like this, so she took her claw and dug it into the eel's belly, making her cough and choke in surprise. She remained silent, though. "Tell me your name, okay?" Ophie tried to make her voice kinder, quieter, but she was agitated, she wanted Alice to wake up, she wasn't happy yet. So she stabbed with her claws again, this time tearing the girl's eye open, making her back arch and shudder.

"That hurts, that's not very nice!" The girl said with a faint smile, shivering against the webs. Why wasn't she screaming, why wasn't she crying? Why did she look like she was having fun? Ophie didn't like it, she didn't get it, it was dumb and stupid. "It's rude to ask my name without giving yours first, you know."

Ophie responded by cutting off the loser girl's arm. This took effort and lots of digging and cutting with her claws but eventually it went off, blood spurting. The scientist didn't look happy at all but he gave Ophie a weird metal rod thing, telling her to press it against the wound and press a button to stop the bleeding to keep the girl alive. That was a good idea! If she died, the fun would stop, wouldn't it? It was still sad that she wouldn't sing, though, that she wasn't saying anything. So Ophie cauterized the wound, listening to the sizzle of flesh, the smell filling the air.

But the girl was blushing, it seemed, and she looked excited? What was happening, this was weird, Ophie didn't like it, it didn't make sense, not at all! "...My name is Ophie." The spider grumbled, clearly unhappy. The eel then giggled again, though her breathing was quick and shallow. "See, that wasn't so hard! My name is Lilim!"

"Why did you hurt Alice?" This was the next question, and Lilim frowned slightly, wiggling the stump of an arm she had. "Alice is good, she's great, so she didn't deserve to be hurted! No way, not at all. So why?" Lilim's eye glanced at the sleeping bat and she shrugged a little, as much as the webs would let her. "She attacked first, though, technically." And that made Ophie angry so she cut up the eel until there wasn't much left. Then the Scientist guy came and put her in the weird machine thing so Ophie paced and growled and hissed for a while. Finally the eel was healed up again and trussed back in the air, a pleased expression on her face.

"Oh, cool!" Her eyes seemed to sparkle. "Okay, let's keep at it, then! This is fun!"

No, it wasn't fun. Ophie wasn't having fun at all.

Stabbing into this girl again and again still wasn't fun, but nothing Ophie was doing seemed to really work. She didn't understand it, she didn't know what to do. Why didn't Lilim break, why didn't Lilim cry like everyone else she did this to? Ophie was frustrated, Ophie was confused, this didn't make sense to her. Every time she cut and stab the girl seemed to blush more and smile more and it was weird, it made Ophie uncomfortable. "This isn't how to make friends, though." Lilim advised with a sage, mature nod, closing her eyes. She was panting, breathing hard, shaking a little but she still wasn't screaming or anything and Ophie didn't get it. "Ophie, do you like Alice?"

What kind of dumb question was that? "Yes, Ophie likes her lots." The spider growled as she stabbed her claw into Lilim's collar bone, making more blood splatter onto the floor of the lab. "Ophie and Alice are a special thing!" And that made Lilim smile a little, as if she was genuinely happy to hear that. "That's good, Ophie! That's so good!" Lilim giggled with a bright smile. "I'm so happy for you! Love is good, it's great, two of my big brothers love each other and it's such a good thing!" Ophie stabbed again, ripping out a chunk of the girl's flesh in her belly, making her moan a little. "Ahaha, but are you sure she likes you the same? It's easy to fake it, you know! You shouldn't be so trusting, Ophie!" And then the spider ripped out Lilim's tongue, forcing her to drool blood and saliva down, still blushing with what seemed to be pleasure.

And then Alice was awake and Ophie glanced at her with a smile, relieved and happy but still frustrated at the eel for being so impossibly weird, for being so frustrating and dumb and Ophie didn't like it at all, it wasn't fun at all! Alice warned her, warned her of the weird electric hands and Ophie was hugged and forced to kind of kneel into Alice's chest. It was warm and nice and Ophie decided that this was proof of their mutual liking and Liliim seemed to smile proudly at them, as if she was a cupid love monster thing. "Ophie saved you, Alice. From the bad people." The spider explained, then shrugged. "....Ambrose helped a little." She admitted, a little more grudgingly. Then her favorite bat walked to the blood and the spider felt a spatter of jealousness in her. What, was her blood not good enough, was it not special enough?

But then Alice refused the eel blood and jumped onto Ophie and bit into her and Ophie wobbled a little but managed to keep her balance and patted the pinkette on the back as she fed off of her, this special sacred ritual, this was a sign of their feelings, and it was perfect, wasn't it? But Alice got down and apologized again and the spider didn't understand why. "But Ophie liked it, she likes giving you blood." The spider tilted her head a little, then stared at Alice's body and liked it but she knew others would see, and she didn't like that. Alice was only for her to see, right? So Ophie dropped the eel from her webs and tore off her dress and put it on Alice, cutting holes in the back for her wings. "Here. Only Ophie can see, okay? Alice is too special for anyone else to look at." Almost as an after thought, the spider placed the eel back in the healing tank. It'd be a waste to just kill her so easily, she wanted to find a way to punish her and make her hurt and cry and stop being so happy all the time.

"Are you okay?" Ophie held the bat's hand, glancing at her bandaids. "They did mean things, didn't they? I'm sorry I couldn't save you faster! Ophie's bad, isn't she? She's horrible, teddie says so too, teddie says I should've saved you faster." The spider drooped a little, frowning, unsure of what else to say to make it better.

"We'll get Lilim back,"

Slaine's words resonated in his mind, a soft smile of tiredness settling onto his features. He really didn't like all this work at all. Sighing Shun shouldered Slaine as he has taken quite a beating, then Slaine warned Shun that Alice would be his responsibility, to which Shun simply nodded.

Slaine mentioned being able to smell Lilim, Shun sniffed the air and smiled. He could too, although mixed in was the scent of that strange spider girl. Shun rationalized it must have all been just a huge misunderstanding on all parts. Rubbing his temples he wondered why all his siblings were always so confrontational, Shun just didn't understand one bit. Hopefully he'd be able to help all parties mellow out and get along. After-all to escape all this would require a lot of teamwork. It'd probably be easier if they didn't have to look over their shoulders so much. Or maybe Shun was just crazy.

So Ambrose helped too? For some reason that made Alice very happy. Her insides felt weird, even after the blood. Could this perhaps be what happiness felt like? Alice felt guilty for feeling such things especially since it made her feel hot in unusual places. "Ophie," Alice smiled, displaying her fangs in their full glory. She had been a bit self conscious of them her first few years, but after a while, Alice had begun to believe that they suited her. Now she thought so too, after all, what use was a bat without their trusty fangs? She used them to take blood, without them, piercing skin would be much, much harder. Ophie didn't seem to mind them either, which made Alice's stomach do weird flips. She pressed her hand into it to make it stop.

"I'm glad." Alice said and then Ophie tore down that horrid beast Lillim and pulled her dress off, giving it to Alice to hear. She poked her wings through the holes, making them flutter a little to ensure that they were still in proper working order. Yup, her wings seemed to be doing fine and Alice was glad, she would have hated to lose them, even if they did grow back. "Only Ophie can see it." Alice agreed with a nod although she wasn't too happy about having to wear clothing. They were so... restricting. She had never worn a dress before and it was sort of weird the way it rose when her hands moved up and made a breeze pass between her legs.

"Alice is okay," Alice promised, using Ophie's vernacular. "I was too strong so they tried to knock me out and then they teamed up on me and held me down." She looked at Lilim's body floating inside of the tank and growled. "I'm gonna kill them." She decided, knowing that she was faster than that stupid boy. Yes, Alice was convinced, she was faster and stronger too! She would protect Ophie and Ambrose for sure! "You don't need Teddie!" Alice took Ophie's hands in her own, "Not when you have Alice! Teddie won't protect you like Alice can!" She looked at the floor, kicking at invisible dirt. "Teddie can't love you like Alice either."

"There you are!" Slaine growled, pushing into the room past Shun, allowing his brother to step in behind him. He saw Lilim floating in the tank, broken and bloody. "What did you do to her!" He yelled but before he could answer the pinkette had dropped on him like a bat out of hell and dug her fangs into his neck. So Slaine shocked her, jolting the girl until she let go of him and jumped back. "Shun, if you want her, then take her." He said, gesturing to the bat with one hand, holding the wound with another. "I'm going to get Lilim back." He was furious, seeing how injured she was. He would make them pay for hurting their sister.

Stumbling after his brother Shun held up a hand in silent protest, however upon entering the room his jaw dropped and he felt that rage boiling again. They had hurt Lilim, they had hurt her a lot. She was battered and bruised, blood covering her as she lay in a tank of some sort. Slaine rushed in screaming in fury, Slaine was beyond stopping now. Shun was angry too, his anger was the slow festering variety, the kind that seethes to a perfect fermentation before unleashing in a hot fury. This gave him an edge of his remaining cool-headedness.

As Slaine rushed the room, Alice bore her fangs and was on him in a blink of an eye, Shun didn't even see the girl move but quickly Slaine shrugged her off with the aid of electricity, tossing her aside like a pesky fly. His eyes widened in horror at the chaos he predicted was coming for them. Then his enraged brother spat at him, clutching a fresh wound.
"Shun, if you want her, then take her.I'm going to get Lilim back."

Shun swallowed hard and nodded, Slaine was far beyond reason, and so was everyone else but Shun apparently. Seeing Alice still stunned slightly he dove over quickly and picked her up, standing clutching her tight, refusing to let go. He wasn't sure why but he really, really liked her and had this overpowering urge to guard her with his life. Although his mind quickly recalled she could easily kill him without breaking a sweat. He held her still carefully, but in a more restricted hold. He was much taller, giving him an advantage in some way, plus if he could hinder that speed they could free both of the girls.

Alice's stun would surely end sooner rather than later, leaning in to her ear her whispered trying to calm the fury within the tiny girl, his cheek nuzzling her hair cautiously.
"Shh...Shh.. Please Alice I don't mean any of you harm. I want us to all get along..." His words were as genuine as any, sadly he felt they were falling on deaf ears.

Alice crossed her arms. This was dumb, she didn't think she had anything to apologize for. She was right, the boy had attacked her first. Although, Alice had really attacked him, but he was asking for it! He was in their territory! Alice could have saved them all from an attack! But no, Lucy made her apologize and then the dumb jellyfish man did too. Alice crossed her arms, clearly unhappy with this arrangement. Ophie leaped to her defense and Alice hugged her girlfriend, sticking her tongue out at Lucy because she had someone to love and Lucy didn't. "Come on Ophie, let's go somewhere our company will be appreciated." Alice took Ophie's hand and led her out the alternate entrance. Lucy called after them not to go far, then the lioness went back to disciplining the people who had hurt her weird allies.

When they were in the hallway, Alice smelled something weird. She could hear it too, it sounded like men grunting. She narrowed her eyes, wondering where the sound was coming from. "I hear something strange." The bat said and started walking. She was holding Ophie's hand, delicately leading the girl to the other area in the direction the sound was coming in. "It almost sounds like Fey." Alice mused, brushing a strand of pink hair aside. She was really glad Ophie had given her the ponytail holders, "What do the humans call it when two of them pair up together?" Alice asked, turning to look at Ophie with a confused expression on her face. Partner? Was that right? Alice liked the sound of that, she and Ophie were partners in crime.

"Over here!" She threw open the door to find two men sparring. Fey who was dark as night and a white haired man, both wielding swords. "What are you doing?" Alice walked right into the room as though unaware of the danger. "That's stupid you know! You shouldn't fight when we're both on the same side!" If Ophie was worried then Alice didn't hear it. The bat stared down the two, knowing that their stupidity would fill many volumes.

Alice nodded her head slowly, "Alice knows the way," she said, accidentally using Ophie's conjecture, it seemed to be rubbing off. Ophie came in then and jumped on her, they were partners after all. Although Alice was pretty clueless so she didn't realize that this partners thing meant love, she wasn't the kind of being that could understand such a complex emotion after all. Maybe someday she would truly understand it, but Alice was only taught a very few range of emotions and was slowly expanding her's. Happiness and patience were two she had yet to build the mental capacity to retain such things. "We can kill the eel later," Alice said, her head spinning from so many activities.

There was some sort of monologue between Fey and the stranger. It was almost an action movie of sorts, or at least, that's what Alice would have thought had she ever seen one. Fey's death didn't really have any effect on her, the two had always been at odds anyways. What did strike her as odd, however, was the seeming disappearance of the body almost as soon as the explosion sounded. Perhaps the body had been knocked aside? Alice didn't know. She didn't have time to think about that though, the room was burning, the heat apparent. "Come on!" Alice grabbed Ophie's hands. How did the man know her name? She wondered. She glanced back at the stranger, untrusting of the new character.

Alice had forgotten about the others, she led Ophie and the sword wielding stranger out, only to see that Lucy had ushered the others into the snow, no doubt smelling the fire. She had the scientist and Vittoria, as well as someone else, a girl with mint colored hair and eyes that were odd. One was red, one was black, Alice thought it was sort of neat. "I've managed to get us a van," the scientist said, no doubt Lucy forced him to find them a car. What pulled out seemed more like a small bus though, but it looked comfy and Alice would do anything to get out of the cold. "We found another sword guy!" Alice called to the others. Lucy turned to look at them, relief in her eyes at the sight of the weird partners. Then her gaze became scrutinizing as she looked at the man. She nodded in approval though and gestured towards the bus, telling them all to get in.

What the hell is this eel they keep talking about? Then Alice was reaching for the other girl and running from the inferno. Ravus naturally followed. Alice's features became a mixture of suspicion and mistrust maybe. Who knows? He didn't care to ask. Eventually they were out of the building and at the blast of frost and cutting winds he chuckled. Nice. Out at last. There was a lady busy with getting others out as well, what is going on? Oh and great, more scientists. Instinctively his hand readied to draw only when this scientist mentioned a means of escape he hesitated. Wait, she's helping? What? They weren't the only ones, apparently others were escaping via bus. Shocker. Unless this was a trap. Would Alice and her friend go through all this trouble just to risk capture again?

He was introduced as 'sword guy.' What a ridiculous description. He tsked but kept his guard and at the scientist he merely held her regard unflinchingly. She gave a curt nod of acceptance and gestured toward the mode of transport. He had no choice but to follow through if this was the only card in play. Yet he wasn't entirely on board with how nearly effortless his escape particularly had been. That was a flag he couldn't ignore. So, let everyone else aboard first, just in case it was a trap he'd kill the culprit.

"Why is a scientist helping a monster?" He wasn't boarding if it meant back in the Underground. He'd be better off finding his own means of escape, it was never wise working with the enemy. Then again she hadn't recognized him, had she so she would have shot him down or tried to subdue him unless the bus was the trick.

Ophie made sure to keep a hand on her special Alice in case something dangerous and bad happened, then decided to spectate the fight because it was entertaining and it wasn't as if she would be able to do anything to stop it anyways. The new sword man said something to Alice about knowing a way out and Ophie wanted to web his eyes shut because Alice was her special Alice and it made Ophie feel insecure and uncomfortable if anyone else spoke to her. Still, he remained silent, clinging close to her favorite succubus. Just remembering the eel was annoying, that damn eel kept saying stupid stuff about how Alice didn't actually care about her, how annoying! "Ophie wants to tear the eel in half!" The spider hissed, clicking her teeth with dissatisfaction.

In the end there was a fire, an explosion, and Fey seemed to have lost the fight, with the new sword person winning and claiming victory. Ophie felt a little strange inside about it. She hated Fey, she always hated Fey, but she really enjoyed and had fun hating Fey and had fun arguing with Fey and making Fey argue back at her and be mean. It was fun and Ophie would miss it. Would she still be able to enjoy hating this new sword person? The spider shrugged and made sure to keep close to her special Alice. And then Vittoria and Qing Yu was there and everyone else was there and Ophie saw the bus and Lucy and were they about to move again? "What do you call yourself, sword guy?" Ophie asked the new person curiously. "Also Alice belongs to Ophie, okay?"

But then she heard that stupid annoying voice pipe up, ringing in her ears, making Ophie feel like stabbing her ears off. "But bats eat spiders, silly! She doesn't actually care about you!" That eel was talking again and the spider felt like doing a whole lot of horrible things to her but she knew the eel would enjoy it. She was seated next to her "siblings" in the bus and Ophie wished they all never even came in the first place. "Alice is special!" Ophie took her bat by the wrist and pulled her into one of the seats, letting her take the window as she sat in the aisle to protect Alice from that eel who was definitely way too scary and mean. "Does Alice want blood now? Ophie can web everyone's eyes!" No one was allowed to see their sacred ritual after all.
