She is considered a failed experiment, and after being found unfit for being reformed, she was sent to the basement. There she would continuously be tortured until she eventually died.

Qing Yu
"Qing" a chinese given name that means "greenish blue", which is almost the perfect description for her hair. The name "Yu" doesn't hold any significance, and is really just a name. She also chose the name because she has always had an interest in the Chinese culture, even if the country itself doesn't really exist anymore, which is truly a shame.
{โ โถโผโบ โ}
Eighteen
{โ โผโบโโนโบโ โ}
Genderfluid; She/Her/Hers Pronouns
Qing Yu feels like she's putting herself at a disadvantage whenever she limits herself to one gender. She truly feels like she could be both genders, even though she looks predominantly female.

About thirteen pounds underweight.
{โ โฝโถโพโ โธโโโโ โ}
Green, with an undertone of blue.
{โ โบโโบ โธโโโโ โ}
Both are hazel, although one of them will occasionally turn a pitch black with a red pupil. This is because she has the DNA of a Black Mamba, which has a black sclera, and she also has the DNA of the Great Horned Owl, whose eyes shine a bright red.
{โ โทโโนโ โโถโโโพโโผโ โ}
She has a multitude of scars from being tortured in the basement. She does of course have a barcode on the back of her neck, although it appears to have been scratched over multiple times.
{โ โผโบโโบโโถโ โถโ โ โบโถโโถโโธโบ โ}
Qing Yu's appearance is extremely odd, even when you take into consideration that she is a genetically altered human; though she could hardly be considered human anymore. One of her most noticeable characteristics would be her green hair. It reaches slightly past her waist, and usually appears unkempt in appearance. Another oddity is that one her eyes occasionally flash a red crimson surround by pitch blackness, though this and Qing Yu's green hair are solely because of the animal DNA that she was mixed with.
Her oddly colored hair is a result of her being mixed with the DNA of a Jamesons Mamba, who has green scales, and the eye that flashes red is a result of Qing Yu's DNA being mixed with a Great Horned Owl, the black sclera the result of DNA from a Black Mamba.
Qing Yu has a long and slender appearance, reminiscent of a snake. She towers over nearly everyone that she meets, though there are some who are about, or are even taller than she is. Though she appears to be even more slender than Qing Yu actual is given the malnourishment she went through during her time in the basement.
Also, because of her time in the basement, she has numerous scars covering her entire body, and thus she usually keeps her entire being wrapped up completely in bandages. Rarely does Qing Yu ever get to change them, and so they are pretty raggedy by this point. One thing she also wears on her person is a red cloak with a hood on it, which she often keeps over her head, which is also worn thin.
Her appearance surely is an enigma to those who haven't seen her before, and to some it could even be considered unsettling in nature.
โMake sure to put on a good show for your queen.โ
โฅ Writing Not necessarily about her own life, since she considers it to be rather dull and repetitive. But writing fictional stories that often have a dark twist on them. Although it is something that she does like to do, being trapped in the basement has taken away her ability to tell stories, at least in the physical form. She still tells them in her head, and all of the characters are very much alive there, just waiting for the chance to be written down on paper.
โฅ Acting It's amazing how many "personalities" just one person is able to have, if they put enough effort. Even to those she's known for years, her behavior can change at the drop of a hat. Though she just loves doing it, and it's nice to explore the type of emotions she's able to pull off at different times.
โฅ Love Or at least, the concept of it. The idea that there's someone out there who would accept you for who and how you are is intriguing, though Qing Yu doubts that there'd be someone like that for her. No...she still has a lot more healing to do before that's ever possible.
โYou sure do love taking a hit don't you?โ
โฆ Insults No one really enjoys being insulted. But to Qing Yu, that's probably the worst thing you could do. Worse that consistent torture. You can be sure that she'll reply back with a quick-witted, snark reply, and will probably bark up your tree for the rest of the day. But by tomorrow, she'll probably act like the entire thing had never happened. Only more of her two faced nature.
โฆ Us vs. Them She honestly believes that this mentality is the dumbest thing, and it irritates her that so many of the experiments seem to have it. It doesn't matter if the human is a genetically altered experiment or just your regular boring human, they're all the same to Qing Yu, and they'll all eventually end up dead, whether it be by her hands or someone else. She's probably one of the rare few who doesn't really hold grudges against the scientists for altering her, all she really thinks is that they shot themselves in the foot when they did it.
โฆ Blood It's disgusting and has a habit of getting everywhere once it spills. Qing Yu prefers to keep her kills quick, and clean, without all the bloody mess that killing someone usually causes. And preferably keep her kills silent too.
โฆ Taking Off Her Masks After wearing a fake mask to hide your true face for so long, eventually one becomes that mask instead. Qing Yu doesn't enjoy being "herself", if such a thing exists anymore. She prefers to always keep up the charade of acting and changing her personality with the flick of the wrist.

{โ โโโพโโโ โ}
Talks to Herself Qing Yu is one hundred percent capable of holding a conversation with herself and to most, she would appear absolutely insane in doing so, and they wouldn't be wrong to say that. She did it a lot before she ever entered the basement, and for some reason it just enhanced itself when she got there. Though now she usually catches and stops herself.
Answering a Question, With a Question If ever confronted with a question that she deems as stupid, rarely will she ever answer it, and instead just reply with a rhetorical question. This is Qing Yu's way of letting you know to back and stop asking her such idiotic things. Although of course, some people don't seem to get the message, and she has to spell it out for them.
Vague Rarely will you ever get a straightforward for Qing Yu about anything serious. Hell, you'd be lucky if you got any answers from her at all. She thinks that people simply try to know too much information sometimes, and she finds it amusing to see the reaction on their faces whenever she refuses to give them said information. Simple as that.
โฆ Conceited She sure does think highly of herself, extremely highly of herself. She knows that there are others who are probably stronger that she is, but she's fine with that staying the way that it is. The only thing she doesn't want is for someone to shove her off her high horse, the scenery is actually pretty nice from up here, ya know?
โฆ Distrustful Qing Yu honestly doesn't trust anyone, she once did trust the rest of the Tori, but that soon died off as well. She feels it's the safest for her own well-being and for others. She feels as if she was ever to fully rely on someone that because of her they'd eventually end up getting killed, so she thinks that it's just best for her to keep to herself.
โฆ Unforgiving If you ever do anything to cross over to her bad side, you can bet that you're going to stay there for the rest of her life. Doesn't matter how big or how small the offense was, she'll completely disregard you as a person from there on. So it's usually best to just be quiet rather than argue with her, before you say something you'll regret.
โฆ Sadistic Just to top it all off, Qing Yu is incredibly sadistic. She has no qualms with torturing and prolonging the suffering of someone just for the thrill of it. Eventually, she will let them die, though it's always after she has had her share of fun with them. She doesn't just enjoy committing them, no, she enjoys watching them as well, it's always fun to see the ways that others come up with to kill people.
โฅ Acrobatic She is very flexible, light-footed, and quick, allowing her to move with the grace and the speed of a snake. Qing Yu often uses this strength of hers to sneak up silently on enemies. She can also do some rather mind-bending contortions, although not anything to an insane degree. One can only be so flexible.
โฅ Physically Strong Qing Yu has incredibly strong muscles, although the time she spent in the basement has weakened them, she still has what could be considered inhumane strength.
โฅ Intelligent Not so much as in book smarts, but more in how people think and react to certain situations. This is almost never used with great intentions, and she only uses it to manipulate others.
โฅ Debonair She's incredibly charming, and over-confident from what you already know. Though a great deal of her charms can be attributed to how she always knows the right words to say to get into someones mind.
Being Deprived of Power Qing Yu has always been the one on top (metaphorically of course), the one with all the power, the only who could just about manipulate anyone who was naive enough to listen to her. To have that stripped away, would basically mean having her entire identity taken from her, or what's left of her identity.
Vulnerability She's not a fan of making herself seem weak, and she's disgusted by almost anyone who does so, especially when it's on purpose. To be vulnerable to someone would give them power over you, and as such Qing Yu makes sure to avoid any and all situations that would do that.
Revealing Herself Probably her biggest fear, she's afraid of ever being...real to someone else. It's a combination of both of her previous fears, showing what you really are like to someone, in her mind, makes you vulnerable, and in turn that deprives you of power in that situation. No, she'll never do it, she'd never have the courage to do it. It's much easier to just continue living a lie and wearing a different mask with everyone you talk to. Yes..that type of life is much easier.
โI don't want to live the truth anymore, just let me continue living a blissful lie.โ
Out of the entire Tori, Qing Yu could be considered the most distant out of the four of them. She doesn't any connection to them on a personal level, though she still stays, possibly out of feeling somewhat obligated to. However, it is a slight boost to her ego to know that she is an experiment that the scientists cannot control like the ones above the basement. And boosts to her ego is something that she enjoys very much. Qing Yu is a very egocentric person, and while it isn't as easy to damage her ego as it is to raise it, she doesn't take well to insults.
Now this isn't to say that she goes everywhere flaunting about how amazing she is, no, her narcissism is quieter than that. But it is there, and if you're around her for long enough, you eventually will come to notice it. Although you may never even see this side of her, as she does have many facets to her personality, and she herself is quite deceptive. While she doesn't deceive everyone she meets, those that she does aren't aware of it.
To some she could even appear cheery and playful, even though that couldn't far further from the tree. In truth, they're all still very real parts of her, fabricated or not. Her ego would never allow her to admit it, but there maybe was a hint of that person in the past who was untouched by the depravity and vice in the world. All there's left now is a person...no, an experiment, who is nothing but terrible to a world that was nothing but terrible to her.
Qing Yu is incredibly sadistic, causing pain to others just for the thrill that comes out of hurting them, and this often plays into her aggressive nature, as she isn't one to ever back down from a fight, and is usually the one who incites it. She's come up with some very creative way of killing others in the past, of course, all of them being free of the unnecessary splatter of blood. Though she isn't one to prolong the torturing for too long, as Qing Yu does know when someone has finally had enough.
In spite of being rather aggressive in nature, Qing Yu is actually relatively calm. Rarely would she ever run into any situation without thinking it through before hand and is very methodical. She is rather intelligent, though she of course doesn't use this with pure intent. Qing Yu often uses it to manipulate others, however, she hasn't done anything drastic so far. But you can be sure that she eventually will, that's just how she is.
She's a little bit more solitary than most, preferring the company of herself over the company of others. Whenever you add people to the mix, over-complicates everything and she rather just avoid dealing with the frivolous problems outright. This doesn't mean that Qing Yu is completely against the notion of interacting with others, there are a few people who she can actually stand to interact with without becoming irritated as easily.
Qing Yu isn't one to hold her tongue when she knows she has something to say. Speaking her mind is one thing that you can be sure she'll always do, regardless of whether it get her in trouble or not. This often causes a rift between her and the scientists, the latter seeing it as her "speaking out of turn", though they annoyance does nothing but amuse her half of the time. She is also rather sardonic and quick witted, always ready to fire back at someone should they ever shoot and insult at her. At times, this can make her come across as rude or brash, and that's exactly what she is. Rarely with Qing Yu ever sugarcoat a word that actually comes out of her mouth, and people are often forced to bear the full weight of her words in almost any given situation.
Patience is virtue whenever it comes to winning the little game of lies that Qing Yu enjoys playing so very much. She knows that most won't easily fall for her manipulative ways very easily, but she's willing to wait it out and see if anything promising occurs. She was never one to rush anything or anyone, since she knows it'll be all the better whenever she finally gets the thing she's been waiting so long for.
โI've had enough of dreaming.โ

Unlike being birthed as a stillborn and then revived, Qing Yu was taken and then put into an egg, where she later "hatched" from. A result of scientists becoming too overzealous with their experiments, and they soon took it too far. She was mixed with animals that simply could not be tamed how the others were, it was a silly mistake that was made by naive humans. Qing Yu was part of a group that was born with three others, and while she personally didn't feel as loyal to them as they felt to her, she still remained a part of the little group they had made.
Though because the four of them couldn't be tamed, they were slated for termination and used solely for experiments. This was until the scientists had discovered a way to tame them by using positive reinforcement, the same way that birds and animals of the like where trained. Once they were finally deemed ready to be released, there was hell anywhere they travelled.
Once they were forced into rehabilitation centers, Qing Yu wasn't exactly fond of what they had taken away from her. She didn't care much for the freedom, no, they had taken away her power, and she had decided to bite back at them. That little massacre of hers is what exactly landed her in the basement, and there was some relief in being connected with the three other members of her group. At least they were in hell together, because that's exactly what the basement was.
Caged, tortured, experimented on, there were no limits to what the humans did to her down in that basement. She hated being reduced to nothing but helpless down in the basement, being at the mercy of others.
So you can imagine the grin on her face when she heard the explosions ring out from above.
