Kye's reaction wasn't anything short of what she had expected. She averted her gaze to the floor as he asked if she had submitted her name as well. Letting him breeze past the question with an answer to her own, Alison glanced over her shoulder to see if anyone was lingering nearby - a habit of hers. Pursing her lips to look back at the young man before her, she tilted her head slightly as if she were drinking him all in. Her dark eyes wandered, her arms folding across her chest.
"Well arise sir, future champion of us all." She said with wry grandeur, curtsying with an impish grin. Taking a few steps backward, she continued, "well, good luck with all of that. I best get back to my dormitory...see you -er..Kye!" She beamed a smile at him before turning to face the correct direction to the dungeons that led into the Slytherin corridor.
Reaching the dungeons with no interruptions, Alison was relieved. She had plans to finish her herbology homework and retire for the night. Lucky that Hogwarts wasn't light with homework, Alison often buried her nose into her studies to avoid her brother and his friends which benefited herself in the long run. However she wasn't lucky enough to dodge the gang through the lobby of their dormitories. "Oye, Alison- where 'ave you been?" Grimm called out, mouth half stuffed with pastries he had brought back from the great hall.
Rolling her eyes and dropping her arm dramatically, she clutched her books close with her other arm as she made an expression of exasperation. "I'm not a child Grimm, I may come and go as i please without having to report to you."
His friends chuckled under their breath, turning away from the siblings to feign privacy. Grimm stood to his full stature well by six feet, taking three strides to come to Alison's side. She dare not flinch as he came beside her, keeping her jaw strong and eyes narrowed. "Just because you're blood doesn't mean you can talk to me with disrespect, Alison. If you keep acting like some barbarian mother will be quite displeased by the next letter i send out." He growled.
"Oh, going to run and tell our mummy are you Grimm?" Alison said loudly, turning some heads. Without hesitation Grimm gripped his sisters forearm with force, causing her to drop her books as he manhandled her into a corner of the room where most couples hid to snog out of the view of others.
Menacingly, Grimm lowered his lips to Alison's ear, her eyes widened with surprise. "I will not have you make a fool of me in front of my peers, Alison. Either your with us, or against us.." He released her, shoving her against the book case with slight brutality. Wincing Alison cringed into the glossy wood, the cold dungeon wall behind her offering no type of comfort. Grimm glared a moment longer before turning back to the lounge, those who were watching with curiosity snapping their heads as if to play off their nosiness.
It hadn't been the first time Grimm acted out against Alison in front of others in their house. Of course no one would ever do anything, hell if Grimm was acting like that with his sister he surely wouldn't care about anyone else's well being. What was worse was that no one ever talked about it, like ever. Alison never heard rumors in the halls that Grimm manhandled his sister or that he had struck the very flesh that came from the same two people as his own. It was as if it never happened.
Red faced, Alison collected her things, rushing to hide her sketches before going to her own room - avoiding the eyes of others.
