Gasoline || Halsey
"Are you insane like me? Been in pain like me?
Bought a hundred dollar bottle of champagne like me?
Just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me?
Would you use your water bill to dry the stain like me?

Are you high enough without the Mary Jane like me?
Do you tear yourself apart to entertain like me?
Do the people whisper 'bout you on the train like me?
Saying that you shouldn't waste your pretty face like me?

And all the people say,

'You can't wake up, this is not a dream,
You're part of a machine, you are not a human being,
With your face all made up, living on a screen,
Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline.'"

Hit Me Like A Man || The Pretty Reckless
"I am strong, love is evil
It's a version of perversion that is only for the lucky people
Take your time and do with me what you will
I won't mind, you know I'm ill, you know I'm ill

So hit me like a man and love me like a woman
Buried and sad, look me in the eyes, I want it
One will give you hell, one will give you heaven
Hit me like a man, love me like a woman
Love me like a woman."

|| Basics ||
"I'm not insecure in the slightest."
  • Eyes Tiger has dark grey-blue eyes
  • Hair Shoulder length blonde hair.
    Naturally dirty blonde, dyed bright
    platinum blonde.
  • Height She's rather short at, 5'2"
  • Weight Her height makes her rather
petite, weighing only about 112 lbs.
Though small, she is quite nicely
    curved.

|| Piercings ||
"I have one or two."
Tiger has both of her nipples pierced, as well as her septum, both lobes, and three in her left cartilage.

|| Tattoos ||
"Other then rough sex, it's the best kind of pain."
Image || Image || Image
Tiger is absolutely covered in tattoos from head to toe. She's addicted to them and is constantly getting more. She has both arms almost entirely sleeved as well as two significantly large thigh pieces, a piece resting at her panty line, some foot tattoos, one under her breasts, and a large one that covers her entire back.
Some notable ones include the large Audrey Hepburn tattoo on her left thigh as well as an intricate tree on her right thigh. She also has her husband's name, Clayton, tattooed at the base of her neck as well as a spider on her under arm. This spider was a huge mistake, and something she got for Cody Spyder, as a symbol to him.

|| Scars ||
"I'm blessed, truly."
Despite her rather tumultuous life, Tiger has very few scars, and the ones she does have are mostly hidden within her many tattoos. She has a small one on her left temple from a fight she got into with her Clayton. After a heated argument, he was attempting to rape her, but she was fighting back pretty hard. In the commotion,
he slammed her head extremely hard against a bedpost, knocking her out cold and giving her a concussion.
Her largest scar is actually two scars, one on the outside of her right thigh, the other on the inside. She was lying on her side in bed one night, sleeping, when her brother came home. Furious with her for something she'd done, he was armed with a knife and brought it down so hard on her leg, that he stabbed clean through it.
Earning this scar nearly killed her.
Another close call with death earned her a scar just under her right collar bone. Her brother was a terrorizing sociopath, and so were many of his friends. One evening, a hunter friend of his thought it would be fun to attempt to "hunt" her. He set her loose in the woods and chased her down with a gun. At some point, she tripped over a root, and whirled around just as the shot was fired. In the end, the bullet that hit her just narrowly missed her heart. Her brother and his friend callously dumped her at the door of the E.R after that and sped off.

Nicotine || Panic! At the Disco
"It's better to burn than to fade away
It's better to leave than to be replaced
I'm losing to you, baby, I'm no match

I'm going numb, I've been hijacked
It's a fucking drag
I taste you on my lips and I can't get rid of you
So I say damn your kiss and the awful things you do

Yeah, you're worse than nicotine, nicotine [2x]

Just one more hit and then we're through
'Cause you could never love me back
Cut every tie I have to you
'Cause your love's a fucking drag
But I need it so bad"

|| Personality ||
"I'm a fucking hurricane baby, stay out of my way."
Rebellious → Tiger is a wild child through and through. She may enjoy being dominated sexually, but she absolutely does not simply let people steamroll over her. If you push her, she'll push back until she gets her way because she's relentless and stubborn as an ox. She hates being told no or what to do and has a huge problem with authority, the more you try to make her do what you want, the less inclined she is to behave. In fact, she sort of gets a kick out of doing what she's not supposed to. She likes to push buttons and bend rules until you're tearing your hair out with frustration while she just watches and laughs.

Impulsive → Tigerlily lives her life with reckless abandon. Growing up, she never really knew which day was going to be her last, so she tends to live every single day like it's the day she'll die. She does things on a whim, that seem to make absolutely no sense to anyone around her, and she rarely thinks things through before acting. If she wants to do something, you can bet your ass she'll do it. She has almost no fear whatsoever and doesn't seem to care about consequences, so she makes rash, impulsive choices without really considering what might come of them. This often gets her into trouble, but even so, there doesn't seem to be any situation she can't somehow slip herself out of.

Addictive → Danger, rough sex, drugs, tattoos there is absolutely nothing in this world that Tiger cannot turn into an addiction. If something makes her feel good, she becomes instantly and hopelessly attached to the point of sickness. She can often be cold, callous, and unfeeling, but it's this numbness that has her ever searching for true feeling. Anything and everyone that makes her feel even a glimmer of emotion becomes an obsession for her, and, once attached, it's nearly impossible for her to break that need. Someday, her addictions will truly be the death of her.

Cold → Many who meet her say that Lily has no heart. Growing up with a terror of a brother like hers, she has learned how to bury her emotions so deep inside her it's truly as if she has none whatsoever. She can say and do astonishing things without so much as blinking, and seems to be like a brick wall, emotionally. This is why she has such an addictive personality. She's been burying her emotions for so long, it's as though she's perpetually numb now, so she's ever searching for something or someone who can make her feel again, and breathe life back into her callous soul.

Manipulative → Tiger is truly a master of manipulation. There is almost nothing she does better then bend the minds of others for her own selfish reasons. She seems to be able to know exactly what a person wants to hear after no more than five minutes of conversation. She can get almost anyone to do anything she wants them to, and the art of it is that, most of the time, you don't even realize you've been manipulated until after the fact. It comes as easily as breathing to her,and sometimes, even she doesn't realize that she's doing it. She's been in trouble with the law more times then she can count, but the number of times she's actually been arrested or charged with her numerous crimes is surprisingly small, simply because she has a natural talent for talking her way out of the trouble she's always getting herself into.

|| History ||
"I've been through shit you wouldn't believe."
For Tiger, life started out pretty benign. Sure, she lived in a shithole town, her family was right on the verge of poor, and she only knew her father through an old photograph, but for the most part, her early childhood was fairly uncomplicated. Her brother, during these days, was an unbearable shit, always killing neighborhood cats and cruelly taunting herself and her twin sister, but for the most part, her mother was able to control his wild antics and things were never worse then the occasional shove or smack.

As she got older, however, her brother only seemed to get worse. It became very apparent that he wasn't simply troubled, he was a complete fucking sociopath.
He didn't seem to have any regard for life, and was very outwardly charming, but upon closer inspection, you could see an emptiness in his eyes. He was entirely devoid of any normal human emotion, even though he was artfully skilled at faking it.

When she and her twin were seven, her brother no longer seemed satisfied with torturing and killing small animals, and his attention shifted suddenly to his sisters. He would beat them physically, burn them with lighters, take them out into the woods and tie them to trees, and, even sexually abuse and terrorize the two of them. To make matters worse, he had three close friends that also seemed to share his psychopathic tendencies and often joined in on his sick games.

Things escalated once again when she and her sister were thirteen. Her mother, their only safety net from their brother's terrors, died suddenly in her sleep of a brain aneurysm. Draco, her brother, was, unfortunately, eighteen at the time and was able to charm Indiana family court into allowing him custody of both his sisters leaving to two of them utterly at his mercy.

Her only escape from the pure hell that was her home were the friends she made in school. She and her sister spent as much time as possible with the other nine troublemakers, going to parties, getting into trouble, and basically doing everything in their power to keep themselves busy and out of reach of their brother.

At sixteen, shit really hit the fan for Tiger when she lost her other half. Draco got carried away with one of his "games" and, right before her eyes, murdered her twin sister and then forced her to help him bury the body and cover up the crime. It was after this incident that she couldn't take it anymore.

She moved out of her own home and in with a close friend of hers, Jordan. The two of them were essentially a couple without the official label and she sought solace with him after the death of her sister. Living together, they grew even closer, and, one night in bed, he asked her to marry him and she gladly agreed. They were engaged for less then a year before she, once again, lost the only person that kept her heart beating.

Her closest friend, Delaney, left town, leaving Cody in complete heartbreak, and it was to Tiger he turned to for comfort. Despite her love for Jordan, Lily's impulsive behavior got the better of her, and she began sleeping with Cody, and wasn't exactly good at hiding it either, causing even more problems with Jordan then the two of them already had.

In the end, he'd had enough. Previously, he'd promised her a thousand times that he'd take her with him to college when he went away, but when it finally came time for him to leave, he packed his things in the middle of the night and left her alone and heartbroken. Without Jordan and Delaney, it seemed Tiger's only remaining option was to move back in with her brother. However, she couldn't bear the thought.

Instead, she left town at eighteen years old without even so much as a penny to her name. She ended up in L.A, shooting porn to make quick cash until, eventually, one of her costars fell head over heels for her and, though she didn't love him, she agreed to marry him for the sake of not being alone. Their relationship was complete shit, and they left the porn industry only for him to buy a strip club and force her to dance in it. She hates him with every bone in her body, but refuses to admit it, even to herself.

Delaney sat in the terminal for her flight from Seattle to Chicago. She hadn’t been home since she’d left. She’d only had contact with one out of eight of her old friends. This was only because Shannon had been the one to keep in contact with her. She’d gotten ahold of her a year after Lane had left and they’d been in touch ever since. Then she’d gotten the news from her brother Conner. Shannon’s house had gotten broken into and the robbery had turned into a homicide. It broke Lane’s heart because out of all of them Shannon was probably the sweetest, most level headed of all of them. She didn’t deserve to die, especially not the way she had.

Lane debated not even going home, mostly because selfishly she was terrified to face her father after so long. Her relationship with her father had always been shitty and the way the Burrow family worked was whatever her father said was law. Which meant that as much as she knew her mom wanted to have a relationship with her, her father kept her mother from being too involved. Because like her father had told her many times, Delaney would always be a flight risk to the family. She’d decided though to bite the bullet for the sake of an old friend. She was the slightest bit shocked when she’d told her mom that she was coming home and her mom invited her and Alex to stay at the house.

Alex was a whole other issue. The last thing she wanted was to bring her estranged husband along to her friend’s funeral. She didn’t have much of a choice though, Alex was coming whether she wanted him to and that was exactly what he’d told her. It wasn’t so bad though, because for the moment she was reminded of why she’d fallen for Alex. He was being decent and she knew that it was only a short amount of time before things got bad again. This trip was a last stich effort, he’d promised that if they couldn’t fix their relationship he’d sign the papers when they got home. A part of her honestly wanted to work things out, not because she was desperately in love with Alex, she liked him enough to marry him, however she just couldn’t bear the thought of being alone and without the companionship she desperately needed to keep from ending up six feet under.

She had her faded pale pink hair tied up in a messy bun onto her head. Her black yoga pants clung tight to her like a second skin showing off every curve over her lower body. She had an old band shirt on and Cody’s old hoodie hanging oversized on her small frame. The hoodie had become a staple of her wardrobe. It had a couple cigarette burns, worn out draw stings that she still chewed on, and a zipper that you had to fool with in just the right way to zip it up. If someone were to ask her what was the one thing she couldn’t live without it would be that very hoodie.

She felt someone tug her earphone out of her ear roughly, she didn’t’ have to look to know it was Alex, his cologne burned her nose it radiated off him so strongly to hide the smell of weed that she knew he had on him. How he’d gotten through security was beyond her. Her knees were pulled to her chest much like a child as she glanced to him. He lend in kissing her and she kissed him back as if she was bored with his lips, but he didn’t seem to notice. He opened his mouth to say something, but closed it as they called out their flight.
---
Once they’d gotten to Chicago, everything was a hurried blur. Her brothers had picked her and Alex up at the airport and Alex was ever charming as they drove an hour and a half home. Alex making quick friend with her brother Conner and her twin brother Dakota. Despite Dakota being her twin, she was far closer to Conner.

“Cool cat.” Her youngest brother commented referring to the cat tattoo behind her ear. She glanced to him with a smirk.
She felt slightly uncomfortable, mostly because her brothers didn’t really know her anymore. Hell, her family didn’t even know about her first marriage, they only found out about Alex, because she’d had to tell her mom she was bringing him along. Of course, her mother hadn’t even flinched because she knew Lane’s personality. She knew she made bad decisions on a whim.
---
The next morning Delaney had spent getting ready. Her family’s house looked exactly the same. Like something out of a Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Her father hadn’t said one word to her and it somehow brought up feelings in her that made her feeling hopeless. Sure, she’d made a lot of terrible mistakes, but he was still her father, he was still supposed to love her. Of course, she pretended it didn’t faze her and her mother just insisted that he’d come around.

Conner had driven the four of them to the church that was already decently filled with people. Her outfit left a lot of her body uncovered, however she still kept it on the classier side. She’d managed to still find a way to wear the hoodie. She had her hands shoved into it’s pockets. Being here made it too real, she’d stepped over the threshold and into the church only for the anxiety to creep up in side of her. Alex tried to nudged her forward with his hand on the small of her back but she wouldn’t budge. She wasn’t sure she could face any old friends that showed up, she was sure they’d be able to see right past her fake happy exterior and see just how broken she was. She also wasn’t sure either that she could stand to see Shannon.

“Lane, come on.” Dakota spat with his ever-present irritation, he always spoke to Delaney like he was annoyed with even having to communicate with her. She glanced up with a sigh.

“I’m going to step out for a second, actually.” She breathed and Alex raised a brow, but he pulled his cigarettes from his back pocket as if he could read her mind. “I’ll be fine.” She breathed holding his eyes as she caught the pack he’d tossed to her, answer his question before he’d spoken it.

Before he could further question her, she slipped past people coming in through the church doors and around the back. With anxious hands, she lit her cigarette and pressed it to her ruby red painted lips. It was starting to drizzle and so she pulled the hood over her head keeping her curled hair from getting too wet as she absentmindedly looked out at the empty field behind the church wondering if anyone would notice if she just stayed there the whole service.

For the most part Jordan was horribly selfish. However, when he’d gotten the phone call about Shannon, it had kind of hit him hard. Bevie had always been really good friends with Shannon. If the four girls had ever gotten into it, Tiger and Lane would have taken each other’s sides and Bevie and Shannon would have done the same. It had never come to that and for the most part the four girls were close. It also didn’t help that he’d first been introduced to Shannon because their moms worked together and had become friends. It was the kind of news that made him slow down his busy life and realize that as much as he loved to believe the world revolved around him it didn’t.

He wasn’t going to go, he had much better things to do then spend time in his shitty hometown. He was going to make Beverly go by herself without a second thought. That was until his younger sister had called him begging him to come home. He’d flown his siblings and his mom out a couple times to see him, however he refused to go back to Gary. He’d always had a soft spot for his sister though and eventually he’d agreed. He just hoped that Cody and Tigerlily weren’t there. He hoped that if they were off somewhere living a happy life together, they didn’t’ show their miserable faces. He wasn’t sure, in light of his new-found temper, that he could simply stand by and watch the two of them without saying something that might start a fight.

He’d thought about driving, but he wasn’t sure he could handle a thirty-hour road trip with Beverly sobbing everywhere. He’d opted instead to rent a private jet, that way the traveling would be shorter and he could comfortably bring his dogs along, who he rarely went on trips without.

They’d gotten to Gary two days ago and for the most part it wasn’t as horrible as he’d assumed it would be. Then again, he hadn’t really been out and about in town, he’d mostly stayed at his family’s house. They’d gone to visit Bevie’s grandma twice, but other than that he mostly stayed inside to keep from bumping into anyone he didn’t necessarily feel like seeing. He hadn’t even gone to tell his old friends Connor and Dakota that he was back despite them living two houses down. He’d seen them leave the house a few times and he had half a mind to go out and say hi.

The house was empty the day of the funeral as he rolled over, Beverly’s back facing him. He moved a little closer, letting his lips trail her neck and shoulder before he got out of bed pulling on his boxers dreading getting ready to face the whole community of Gary, who which all knew he’d made it big. According to his brother, they had a hole case at the high school dedicated to his successful career. Lily and Gator stood up stretching as they followed their owner through the small three bedroom house. They sat outside the bathroom door as he showered before following him into the kitchen for his morning protein shake.

He was desperately itching to go for a jog, it was an addiction. He typically worked out twice a day, he hadn’t worked out once in the past few days and his body was starting to feel heavy and tired. He popped his steroid pills, chasing them with drink of his protein shake. Finally after putting off getting ready he finally started to slip into his black suite. The suite was so expensive it practically smell of money, matched with his Rolex, he didn’t look like he fit in with the residence of Gray. Bevie slipped into the room dressed in a simple black dress, yet she made it look beautiful. He was well aware he didn’t deserve her. She pretended not to know he was a cheating asshole or that every time she hinted to marriage he shut it down. He was mean to her and everyone saw it, they just knew better then to say shit to him.

They slipped out of the house then, the dogs following them, prancing behind them. Jordan opened the back door for the dogs to jump into their rented chrome colored escalade as Beverly rolled her eyes hopping into the front seat, she glanced at Jordan.
“Why are you bringing the dogs?” She questions in a meek voice, even when she tried to sound annoyed she was still very soft spoken, she hadn’t been this way when they’d first met. Just like his dogs though, Jordan had trained her to be a trophy girlfriend, with no intent of making her his wife.

“Because I need an excuse to leave.” He stated as if it was obvious. “We’re going and were coming home. We’re not going to stay and chit chat.” He ordered. “Got it?” He breathed sharply as he slammed the door, crawling into the driver’s seat of the suv.
“Shit.” Bevie breathed, her eyes focused on something a few houses down as she stared out the passenger window. “Is that Dee?” She breathed as Jordan’s eyes found what Beverly was looking at.

The last time he’d see Delaney, she had a black eye. Bruises had covered her neck and arms and she was sitting alone at the desk in her father’s office, feverishly working on homework. Her father had beat the shit out of her and she’d stopped coming to school. He remembered feeling horrible for her, knowing exactly what to know that your father hated you. She hadn’t even looked up at him when he’d called out to her. She’d stopped hanging around the group and then she was gone and anytime him, Tiger, or anyone else in the group asked about her, Dakota would merely say she died. Of course, he was joking, but it was still a morbid thing to say about your twin sister.

“I thought she was dead.” He breathed unwavering in his ability to seem like he didn’t care as he backed out of the drive way. Not that he’d admit it, but he cared more than he was willing to admit. Delaney, Tigerlily, Bevie, and Shannon were his girls. They would always be his girls. No matter how cold and uncaring he’d become, he still cherished the long days and the late nights. He missed getting into trouble and making out and stealing from the quick stop and everything in between with the whole group. He wished that they’d kept in contact that they’d at least went their separate ways on a better note.

When they’d finally arrived at the church they’d slipped in somewhat under the radar with a few people calling him out to chat for a moment. He was grateful for having learned how to carry on a short conversation before moving to the next. They found there seats in the back of the church, Jordan wanted a quick way out.

“I’ll be right back.” He breathed, Beverly grabbed his arm and he pulled it away a little rougher than necessary. “I forgot to roll the windows down for the dogs.” He breathed before slipping out of the church and out into the parking lot.

Tigerlily hadn't been home to Gary Indiana since she was seventeen years old. For the past five years of her life, she'd been living in Los Angeles and she liked to tell herself that her life had improved, that she'd moved up and on from the terror that was once her home, but the truth was that she hadn't. Her life was still shit, just the surroundings were different. Instead of sleeping through the town and getting tortured by her evil brother, she was stripping in a club and being regularly abused by her own husband. She'd grown cold and callous over the years of trauma and pain, and liked to tell herself she no longer gave a fuck about Gary or the people she'd left behind there.

This was a complete lie, however. The moment she'd gotten the call about Shannon's funeral, she'd gone online and bought a plane ticket, she still googled Cody on the regular, apparently he was a major stock broker or something on wall street now, and she still sat down in front of the TV with a bottle of whiskey every time one of Jordan's games was on and got drunk, wondering what her life would have been like if she hadn't made so many mistakes along the way.

Buying the plane tickets had been easy. She'd gone online and gotten it done in mere minutes. Telling Clayton and actually forcing herself to pack her bags and head back to her hometown, however, had been anything but easy. It had been like there were cement bricks around her feet, every step she took towards going home. There were just so many memories waiting for her in Gary, so many people she both longed to see and dreaded running into. At the gate, she nearly turned tail and ran, but she knew she had to go. All Shannon wanted was for the members of their old social group to get together again, at least once. Unfortunately, it was going to be her death that would cause it.

"I can't." She'd whispered to Clayton about a thousand times, throughout the ordeal. Right up until they were standing on the doorstep of her old family home. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, remembering her twin sister, and all the torture and terror she'd endured in that house. "I can't." She whispered to Clayton again, but he just rolled his eyes and knocked on the door.

Her brother answered and her entire body tensed. She'd begged Clay to let them stay in a hotel, but all the hotels in Gary were honestly shit holes, and he'd told her she was being ridiculous, that even if her brother was still a dick and tried something, he could protect her. Still, she couldn't help but be terrified. She was standing in front of the man that had murdered her twin sister and forced her to help him bury the body.

Staying in her old home was honestly like willingly walking into hell, but she had no choice. Besides, if Draco found out she was in town and had chosen to stay at a hotel, he'd make a point to seek her out, regardless. Going back to Gary meant facing Draco again no matter where she stayed, so she'd made Clayton swear never to leave her alone in that house while they were there, even for a moment.

After dropping her things off, Tiger left Clayton at the house with Draco and made her way to one of the town's beaches. It was only accessible by taking a long, twisting path, and there was a rather unattractive factory near by spewing pollution into the air, meaning it was mostly abandoned and quite secluded. It was one of her old haunts. She could remember so many summer nights spent on that beach with her friends, gathered around a large bonfire, drinking and smoking. It was there that she'd fallen asleep that night, in the sand, where no one would find her, not even Draco.

The next morning, she'd woken up covered in sand from head to toe, but she'd gotten a nice view of the sunrise before she had to make the long walk back to her brother's house. She showered with Clayton, but it didn't really do much for her. She was essentially numb the entire time until they got out and she slipped into a tight black dress and some thigh-high black socks.

She was like a robot, as she got dressed, pulling on her leather jacket and sliding on a pair of black circle sunglasses to hide the black eye Clay had given her a few days ago that was still barely healing. Her body was doing what it was supposed to but her mind was racing, thinking of seeing vibrant, bubbly Shannon cold and unfeeling in a coffin. Then there was the others. The possibility of seeing Cody or Jordan again.

They got in the car with Draco and drove to the church she and her friends used to regularly vandalize as teens. Ty's hand was clutching Clay's so tight, her knuckles were white and her jaw was clenched to the point where it was honestly a little painful. She leaned over to Clay as the car came to a stop in the lot. "I can't Clay, I really can't." She murmured in his ear so Draco couldn't hear.

"Stop it." He barked, irritated with her. "We flew all the way here, stop saying you can't. I'll be inside when you decide to grow up Lil." Clay spat bitterly before getting out of the car, slamming the door with frustration and marching off towards the church.

"You sure know how to pick them Ty." Draco said with a scoff as he met her eyes in the rearview mirror. A chill ran down her spine at the look in his gaze. His eyes were empty and soulless, like they'd always been, and the smile on his lips was almost malicious. He got out of the car as well then and started to walk towards the church, leaving her alone.

She sat out there for a moment, breathing deeply and taking long swigs from a whiskey flask hidden in one of her boots. Finally,
she let out an exhausted sigh and slipped out of the car. She stopped as soon as the car door was shut and she turned around. Jordan was on the other side of the parking lot. She hated how fucking good he looked. She was climbing out of her brother's piece of shit buick, and he was wearing a suit worth at least a couple thousand, standing next to a black escalade.

Tiger took a deep breath, using the edge the whiskey had given her to shove back any sort of emotion that started to rush to the surface at the sight of him, like she'd learned to do so well over the years. She glanced right past him, as if she didn't have more attention than a passing glance to spend on him before turning and heading towards the church, like she'd never seen him, taking her seat between Draco and Clayton, not bothering to remove her sunglasses even though they were now inside. She couldn't help but notice when Jordan came into the church and took a seat next to Beverly and, shortly after, Cody entered with a gorgeous redhead on his arm. Lily sighed and snuck a quick sip from her flask as people started to take their seats and the services started. Hopefully she could get out of there quickly once things ended.

Cody loved New Orleans. Of course, he was a traveller, so he loved a little bit of every city he'd ever lived in, but New Orleans was especially captivating for some reason. It was something about the history of the city that seemed to interest him so much. He'd lived there, sharing a lovely, richly decorated apartment with his partner, Louie for three months. That was the longest he'd been in one place for over five years.

For the first time in a very long time, he was actually a little reluctant to pack his bags and leave. Still, even despite it's charm,
it was just another city to him. He'd been running an elaborate con on a billionaire heiress for the past few months, and then he got a phone call. His good friend Shannon had died.

At first, Louie had been furious with him and told him that if he wanted to give up the con and go, he'd have to go alone.
He, however, was too charming to resist. He told her he needed her, that he couldn't do it without her, that they were partners in all things, all the usual crap and, like always, she bought it. They were on a plane the next day. He had to get home to honor the death of his friend.

As much as he hated Gary, and as many bad memories as he had there, Shannon had been nothing but good memories and positivity. She'd been as close to an angel as anyone he'd ever met and he liked to think that, if he died suddenly that night, every single one of his old friends would be there to mourn him, no matter the animosities between them.

Still, that didn't mean he wasn't nervous to see them. He hadn't exactly parted on good terms with most of them. His closest confidant in the world, Delaney, had up and left town at seventeen and he hadn't heard a word about her since, hell, he didn't even know if she was still alive, and her disappearance had devastated him. He'd slept with his best friend's fiance, causing further rifts in their group until, eventually, everything crumbled right out from under him.

Then there was his mother. He had to go back for her sake too. Five years ago, he'd been so driven by grief that he'd run away from his problems, leaving his vegetable mother to rot in a hotel room somewhere, not alive, but not dead either. As much as it was going to kill him, he had to go back and finally finish what his mother had started by swallowing those pills. He had to finally pull the plug and put her in his past.

Truly, he couldn't do it without Louie at his side. He didn't love her, it wasn't exactly like that. He loved her in the sense that you love a very close friend, but the only woman he'd ever truly loved had been Delaney. Still, despite their lack of love for each other, they were very much attached to each other. They depended on each other, they worked together. Their relationship was open, fluid, and without commitment, and she was always telling him that she could walk right out of his life just as easily as she'd entered it and he honestly believed her. Still, he needed her. She was his partner in crime and in all things. At least for as long as their partnership was beneficial to the both of them.

Entering his old home had been impossibly hard. Louie had had to go first and hold out her hand to him, enticing him in. Everywhere he looked, he was reminded of his mother. She was insane, there was no denying that, but, despite being obsessed with her own death, she'd been the most lively person he'd ever known in his life, and, ultimately, had been a good mother.

The morning of the funeral, Louie was standing in front of him, looking like a fucking trophy wife as she tied his tie, completing his disgustingly expensive suit. He may not have made his money legally, but he was filthy rich. If anyone asked, he simply told them he worked on wall street trading stocks and they typically didn't pry further than that. No one knew his true occupation.
The feds had their suspicions, of course, but with no evidence, and his stolen money hidden in secure, offshore accounts, there was nothing for them to accuse him of.

It wasn't hard for him to often feel untouchable. As if the entire world was his to take. That was why he kept doing it. Not because he needed the money, him and Louie had enough money between them to last them several lavish lifestyles. It was the adrenaline and the sense of invincibility crime gave him that drove him to do it again and again.

They drove to the church, and the closer he got, the more nervous he became about seeing his old friends. For all he knew,
Jordan still hated him and would punch him upon seeing him, and he would honestly deserve it. They'd never really fought out their rivalry over Tiger, they'd both simply run away instead. He wouldn't be surprised if all that rage came right back the moment they saw each other.

Cody got out of the car and walked around to Louie's side, opening it for her and taking her arm. "Ready?" He breathed and she nodded simply and gave him a kiss on the cheek before they slipped up the church steps. As they walked up towards the double doors, a girl came out and brushed his shoulder as she slipped past. He knew instantly, it was Delaney. He hadn't even seen her until he turned his head and caught sight of her pink hair disappearing around the corner of the church. It was that brush against his shoulder that had told him instantly it was her. That brief second of a familiar fire he hadn't felt since he was a teenager.

His eyes followed her until she disappeared. He hadn't really expected her to be there, and now that he'd seen her, she was spinning around in his head and he wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to be near her, but he also wanted to stay far away from her. He went into the church with Louie. "I saw an old friend baby, take a seat, I'll be back." He told her, giving her a small kiss on the lips before heading back outside.

He walked around to the back of the church where Delaney was, leaning against the building, smoking a cigarette. She was wearing a hoodie he'd given her a lifetime ago on a cold night on the beach while they'd been sitting around a bonfire. He remembered that night vividly. Her teeth had been chattering next to him so he'd slung his hoodie around her shoulders, and, not twenty minutes later, her head had dropped onto his shoulder and she'd fallen asleep. He still remembered the smell of her hair and the warmth of the fire, even the way her breathing had sounded as she slept against him.

He just stood there a moment and stared, like he was seeing things. "Laney..." He breathed so softly he wasn't sure she'd heard it. Just then, music started playing inside the church and he sighed, knowing that meant the services were starting. He didn't want to leave, but he had to. He backed away from her reluctantly and turned away, heading back inside and taking his seat next to Louie, placing a soft kiss on her cheek.

Delaney had the urge to run alone with the urge to ask Alex for some coke to cut lines in the bathroom of the church, that would calm her nerves. She was awful she knew that, for even thinking of doing blow in a church bathroom. Instead she reverted to the one thing she knew she could control. She pulled up the sleeve of her sweater and pulled the razor blade from inside her bra. She often kept one there. A gasp of mixed pain and pleasure softly escaped her lips as the blood surface, looking almost neon against her pale skin. She the blood ooze from the wound for a long moment, feeling instantly better. Her cigarette balanced between her lips.

She pulled the sleeve of her sweater down applying pressure over the wound and letting her blood absorb in to the dark fabric of the sweater. “Laney…” she’d barley heard his voice, but she’d heard it. She didn’t’ react though, she’d simply pretended she hadn’t heard it as a million and one memories came flooding back.

The music started to play from inside the church and she knew she should go inside, her skin stung but she ignored it. She waited a half a beat before she looked up to find herself alone, as if Cody hadn’t just been standing there and she was more than glad he wasn’t. She put out her cigarette pushing off the wall, she rounded the corner just as Cody rounded the corner to the front of the church.
--
It was warm out and Delaney was wearing nothing more than a bikini top and short, shorts that allowed a small amount of her ass to hand out. Her long hip length dark violet hair hung messily. She’d snuck out of the house for the millionth time that summer. The C shape carved into her arm still fresh as she watched Cody round the corner to the front of the church. They were the first ones at the church, she had this theory that Cody always told her earlier than the actual met up time of the rest of the group. They always seemed to be the first ones to arrive and have ample time to hang out alone.

“Why must we play run away from Laney?” Lane whined as she absentmindedly followed Cody, like she always did. They’d been sitting in the parking lot, before he’d gotten a bright idea and took off in a hurry to supposedly climb onto the roof. “Can’t we just go back to making out in the parking lot?!” She called after him.

When she rounded the front of the church he was nowhere in sight. She let out an audible grown. She parted her lips ready to call out to him before his arms wrapped around her from behind and he buried his face in her neck. She’d nearly jumped out of her skin. She untangled herself from his arms turning to face him, shoving him away.
“You’re an asshole.” She smirked.
---
The memory was still as fresh as it had happened the day before, a sad smile found its way to her lips as she climbed the steps of the stairs and slipped quietly into the church. She was careful to keep her eyes on the ground, knowing people were staring at her being one of the last to walk in. She slid into the pew next to Alex.

“Nice of you to join us.” Dakota hissed, Conner nudged him to shut him up. “What?” He groaned like he was unaware of his actions.

Alex lend over and her body tensed. “Don’t fucking think because were around your family you can just do what you want. Take off again and I’ll make you regret it.” He threatened, but his words went in one ear and out the other as she noticed who was sitting directly in front of her. She gripped dug the nail of her thumb into her sweater over where she’d made the small incision, wincing slightly from the pain.

Cody sat in front of her looking more incredible then he’d ever looked. He’d cut off all of his emo style. He’d grown into his sharp features and she felt her chest physically ache, digging her nail deeper into the fresh open wound. The Cody she heard whisper her name didn’t look like this version of Cody who was mature, handsome, and by the looks of his clothes he’d done well for his self. He wasn’t working as a brista with two failed marriages under his belt, miserably waiting for the day he cut his wrist a little too deep. Then her eyes landed on the red head that sat right next to him and Lane instantly felt like ugly in comparison to the girl at Cody’s side.

“I…” She whispered as Shannon’s father got up to speak. Alex glanced to her. “I can’t.” she breathed as she started to get up, but Alex was quick to sink his fingertips into her waist gripping her so tightly she could feel the bruises forming underneath his fingers. She had to fight the whimper of pain that threatened to leave her lips as she sat back down.
---
How she’d gotten talked into going to Shannon’s parents’ house for the wake, she’d never know. She’d hoped that Alex would have wanted to leave right after that funeral, but on the contrary, he sided with her brothers and she was unfortunately at their mercy. She was grateful however that her brothers kept Alex distracted. She’d navigated her way to the bathroom after she’d managed to talk Alex out of his bag of coke. She’d cut messy lines on the white bathroom tile leaning down and doing one after the other.

Her nose burned, but she felt a million times better like she could handle running into people now. She pulled up the sleeve of her hoodie assessing the damage, before cleaning the access blood. Finally, she slipped out of the bathroom, bumping into Cody. She knew it by the way his skin set her entire body on fire and she took a step back before her eyes met his brilliant blue eyes for the first time in five years.

A seemingly genuine smile lit her lips, like she was overjoyed to see him before the cocaine in her system mustered up enough courage to wrap her arms around his waist for half a second. She didn’t give him a chance to hug back, she pulled away far too quickly. Just like that she’d shut down her fucked-up emotions and plastered on a fake happy cast to cover up her brokenness, she just hoped he couldn’t’ see through it. Squeezing by him and into the hallways so she didn’t feel so trapped.

“Hey, Cody Bear.” His nickname rolled of her lips, it was natural, she hadn’t had enough time to think that the nicknames was probably inappropriate now. “You got a smoke?” She asked, in a similar tone to when they were younger.

“I do.” Alex’s voice behind her caused her jaw to clench. She turned her attention to Alex then. “Shall we?” Alex breathed, clearly irritated with the fact that Cody and Lane had been alone, for even just a moment.

“This is Cody.” Lane breathed holding Alex’s eyes and it was clear she was going to pay for dragging this out later. Lane turned her eyes to Cody, she wondered how he’d react to her next words. “Cody, this is my husband, Alex.” She breathed looking for any hint of disappointment in her old flames eyes.

Jordan had was beyond tempted to climb into his car and drive away, without so much as a second thought to how Bevie would get home, because the truth was he honestly didn’t care. Despite his selfishness driven personality, he rolled the window of his car down just enough for the dogs to get some air, even though it was cold enough with the mist of rainfall they’d probably have been fine without the windows being rolled down at all. He locked the car back up and started back towards the church, catching a glimpse of a familiar blonde, the only difference was the tattoos he didn’t recognize covering his ex-fiancé’s body. He clenched his jaw as he continued towards the church.

When he slipped inside music started playing and he couldn’t help but steal a glance in Tiger’s direction. She was sitting a few pews diagonally across from him, with her shit-head brother and some other asshole, he desperately hope was just a friend. He didn’t want Tigerlily to be happy with somebody else. The thought of someone else calling her baby or running their hands through her hair. The thought of someone elses cologne lingering on her skin or someone else kiss causing sounds to escape her lips was excruciating. Thinking about it as he took his seat next to Beverly was giving him a head ache.

Tigerlily had been the only girl he’d ever loved. The only light in his miserable life, the only thing that made him want to get up every morning despite how much his body ached from his dad’s drunken beats. He’d never felt something so fully, so bitterly as when he’d found out about Tiger and Cody. Ty was his future wife, the girl he wanted to grow old with. Cody was his best friend, they’d been through so much shit together from being sent to juvi for two weeks, to crashing his dads truck just to spite him. Finding them together had completely shattered any faith he’d had in humanity. He’d never talked about it, he’d just left and when he’d left he’d shoved the emotions as far down under as humanely possible. Allowing himself to stew for years and letting the depression and heartbreak turn him cold and uncaring.

Yet, as angry as he still was about the whole situation. He’d give anything the kiss he lips again instead off Beverly’s and he’d cut off his legs if it meant one more sleepless night at the abandoned factory on the beach tagging the walls with Cody. Not that he was willing to admit that he cared in the least bit, his pride wouldn’t let him. He’d barley listened to the service it was too hard. He couldn’t even bring himself to look in the direction of Shannon’s casket and for the first time in years, tears pricked his eyes threatening to fall when Shannon’s mom got up to talk. He’d let his eyes wander the entire service from one of his old friends to the next.

Cody looked good. He’d grown up at lot it seemed like. He’d traded his long jet-black hair for a gentleman’s cut. His tailored suite was designer which meant he’d done well for himself. His eyes found Dakota next, Delaney’s twin brother. Dakota had never been his favorite, in fact he couldn’t count the times him and Cody had gotten into fights with Dakota for something awful he’d done to Lane. Yet, he was still their friend and when he wasn’t being a dick to his sister, he was actually pretty fun to hang out with. He looked well put together and now that he was thinking about it Dakota might be the only one he could stand talking too.

His eyes drifted to Delaney next. He’d always been protective of her, because he’d always thought of her as a sister and because he’d known how in love Cody was with her. He’d wanted so many times just to tell Delaney for Cody, because it was honestly pathetic how much Cody did for her, how much he liked her and she’d never notice and if she did, she didn’t seem to feel the same about him. He’d wondered from time to time what had happened to her. A couple rows back Justin sat and it brought a smirk to his face. Justin was probably the most relaxed of them all. He knew how to cause trouble but he was also the one who was always talking them down when they were agitated with each other. He had a cigarette behind his ear and he wore a levi jacket, he looked exactly the same except his curly hair was shave on both sides and he had a few more tattoos.
---
When the service was over, he’d unfortunately gotten talked into going to the wake by Shannon’s mom. Him and Beverly fought the whole way over because she wanted to go and he didn’t want anything to do with it. Still he ended up going because in the end it felt like Bevie always got her fucking way. Gator and Lily hopped out of the car and followed him and Beverly around to the back yard, the sun had started breaking through the heavy rain clouds, enough for them to hang out in the backyard. Beverly slipped off the irritation clear in her body language.

“Bevie!” He called after her before groaning as he made his way over to where Justin was hanging out alone drinking a beer and leaning against the fence. There was no amount him that looked awkward and Jordan was slightly jealous of him for seeming so calm when everything from their past surrounded them. “Hey Jay.” He breather rubbing the back of his neck, not sure how to socialize normally anymore. Justin glanced up from his phone, his trademark crooked smile finding its way to his lips as he slid his phone in his pocket. He didn’t’ hesitate as he reached out pulling Jordan into a warm, genuine hug.

“Hey man!” Justin breathed happily pulling away, he knelt down petting Lilly, the dogs tail wagged. “How the hell have you been, I mean besides being a rich asshole now.” Justin teased.

“I’ve been good.” Jordan answered way less enthusiastic compared to Justin as Justin stood back up.

“Yeah, how’s that football life treating you?” he asked as if he was genuinely interested in Jordan’s life and it was an interesting change from the fake rich people that surrounded Jordan.

Jordan smirked, lightening up a bit the more the two of them talked. “It’s a lot of gay shit…you’d love it.” He teased and the two of them laughed. “What about you, what have you been up to?” He asked.

“Just been on tour with my band. We just finished up Warped tour a couple months ago, other than that It the same shit different day.” He breathed honestly.

“Yeah no kidding.” Jordan agreed before his eye found Tigerlily standing alone. Justin seemed to catch the hint of longing mixed with hesitation that consumed Jordan.

“Hey Lil!” Justin called out to her, weaving her over and Jordan was quick to look away. Shit. He thought knowing he had no choice not but to interact with her.

The funeral was awful. Her knee started bouncing, and the entire time she had this strong sensation to get up and run as fast as she could out of there. Tears welled up in her eyes for the first time since she could remember, but, her being Lily, she didn't let them drop. She couldn't. If she cried, it would open up a whole flood of emotions that she hadn't been able to feel for years, and she would possibly have a full meltdown right there in the middle of Shannon's funeral. She was just thankful for her sunglasses, so no one could see how close she actually was to tears.

She kept her eyes forward, glued to the people that were getting up to speak, making absolutely sure not to let them wander. She couldn't look at Jordan sitting with his arm around a sobbing Bevie, or Delaney her best friend in the world whom she'd betrayed horribly by fucking around with Cody after she left, or Cody, a reminder of what a shitty person she was. Even Justin, who'd always been neutral and easy to go to about her problems, was hard to look at because he looked very good. They all did. They all looked like they'd done good with their lives, while she was sitting there wearing sunglasses to hide a black eye given to her by her husband, purse filled with singles from her nights spent stripping in his club.

At some point, Draco had reached over and took her hand, and, to everyone else, the gesture may have seemed sweet and supportive, but in reality, that simple touch made her want to crawl out of her skin and run a thousand miles in any direction just to get away from him. She tried to keep her focus on the funeral, and not the last time she'd felt her brother's sickening touch. She'd never really told anyone the full extent to which Draco used to torture her. She'd told Laney and Jordan most of it, but some of the more gut wrenching details, she'd kept entirely to herself.

They may have suspected, but she'd never actually spoken the words out loud because she couldn't. How do you tell someone that your older brother made you bury your twin sister? Or that he used to tie her up naked and leave her there for days with no food just to see how long it took before she started to starve? Clayton was abusive physically, sexually, and verbally, but Draco was something else entirely. He was a complete sociopath. He didn't just beat, rape, and berate her, he got his kicks from torturing her in every sense of the word.

___________

Afterwards, Lily had begged to go home and Clay didn't really seem to have a problem with it. He knew she still had a lot of mixed feelings about her old friends, including something still burning for Jordan. He'd watched her get drunk and high and watch his games like they were her religion. He didn't want her around any of them, because he was afraid it would loosen his control on her in some way or another.

However, Draco wanted to go to the wake. Always looking for ways to torture her, even subtly, she knew the only reason he insisted on going was so that he could force her to confront painful memories and old friends. He wanted to go simply because she didn't want to and Draco always got what he wanted.

The entire time they were at the wake, Clay kept her glued to his side with a painful grip on her hip, but honestly, she didn't mind his controlling bullshit for once. If his grip left bruises, she would welcome them, because him keeping her so close was the only thing that seemed to be keeping her together through all the mingling and such, and it kept Draco from being able to get her alone, which she knew he desperately wanted. Every time she glanced over at her brother, his eyes were boring into her like he was a hunter and she was a deer and her stomach would turn viciously.

She needed drugs so bad, her entire body was crawling with the need, but she was afraid to ask Clay, so she just continued to steal drinks from her flask, even taking a moment to raid Shannon's parent's whiskey to refill it at one point. The liquid fire felt good and gave her what she needed to get through the evening without emotion.

At one point, she was out in the backyard with Clay, smoking a cigarette when Jordan entered the yard. She didn't even had to look at him to know he was there. It was like she could just feel his fucking presence everytime he was near, even after all these years. Clay was talking to her, but she wasn't listening, her eyes were on Jordan, her mind reliving those blissful nights when she'd lived with him. That had honestly been the best time of her life. She'd been safe from her brother, had fallen asleep in the arms of someone who loved her every night, and had actually seen a future for herself that wasn't filled with misery and pain. Sure, they'd had their problems, but it had been easy to deal with those problems because of how much they'd honestly loved each other.

Clayton's phone stated to ring then and he leaned down, giving her a kiss on the lips before telling her he was going to go take the call in the front yard where no one was around, meaning the call had something to do with the club. Now alone, Tiger smoked her cigarette, taking deep inhales before turning and taking a sip from her flask.

“Hey Lil!” Justin called from across the yard and she slipped the flask away and turned back around, biting her lip when she realized Justin was standing with Jordan, waving her over. Clay had specifically told her that, if they were to fly all the way to Indiana for Shannon's funeral, she was supposed to stay the fuck away from Jordan. She knew if she went over there and Clay caught her, she'd definitely pay for it later. Still, she couldn't exactly refuse.

Tiger pushed her sunglasses up on her nose so they were fully covering her eyes again, and plastered a false smile on her lips that she was so good at faking as she walked over to the two of them. "Hey guys." She breathed pleasantly with a smile as she reached a hand down to pet one of Jordan's dogs. She'd always had a weakness for dogs. "You look great Justin." She said honestly as she stood up straight and brought her cigarette to her lips, her eyes taking in Jordan hungrily before glancing over her shoulder for Clay, wondering when he'd be back and how furious he'd be. For the most part, he could control himself in public, but occasionally, he lost it on her still and the thought of him losing his temper on her in the middle of all her old friends was horrifying. She would be completely humiliated.

"You too Jordy." She breathed, using her old nickname for him without even realizing it, wishing more than anything that she could feel his touch one more time. She'd sell her left arm if it meant kissing him again, but they were two different people now living entirely different lives, and what she'd done all those years ago was honestly unforgivable. She wouldn't be surprised if he still hated her.

Shannon's funeral was honestly harder then he'd thought it would be. Years ago, he'd been decently sensitive, and had actually felt, but since leaving Gary, he'd grown increasingly colder and colder to the point where he felt he no longer had any emotions. Shannon's funeral, however, was dragging everything right back up the the surface and, for the first time in years a few tears actually dripped from his eyes. Of all of them, Shannon deserved death the least, that was what was really getting him. Not to mention knowing Delaney was sitting right behind him. He'd fully expected to never see her again in his life.

Then there were Tiger and Jordan. Jordan had been his best friend, and he'd completely ruined their future together by getting Lily drunk one night and pushing himself on her. She hadn't persisted too hard, but he had definitely been the pursuer in the situation. He hadn't been able to help himself. He'd been miserable about Delaney's disappearance and both angry and jealous over Tiger and Jordan's happiness. He both wanted it, and wanted to ruin it, so, selfishly, he had.

After sleeping together once, it became an act of guilt, continuing the affair until the point that it completely destroyed his friendship with Jordan as well as her engagement to him. He couldn't even look Tiger's way without overwhelming guilt crashing into him, knowing she was in a bad place just by looking at her, and he was the reason. If he hadn't gotten in the way, she'd be Jordan's trophy wife. Instead, she was trying to hide it as she stole sips from a flask and her husband was squeezing her knee so hard, he knew their relationship was in no way healthy.

Louie, sitting next to him, reached over and softly wiped the few tears that had managed to slip before kissing him gently on the cheek, resting her head on his shoulder, and twining her fingers with his, giving his hand a soft squeeze to remind him that she was there. She was a young girl, only eighteen, but one thing he loved about her so much, was how sensitive she seemed to be to the emotions of others. It not only made her a great source of support for him, but also made her so fucking good at conning people with him. She seemed to know exactly what you needed when you needed it.

_______

After the funeral, him and Louie sat in the car in the parking lot silently for a long moment. The windows were cracked and they were both smoking cigarettes. Gently, in a soft tone of voice, she suggested going to the wake and he looked at her, trepidation clear in his gaze. She'd urged him, using the word please and she knew why she wanted to go.

She was consumed with curiosity. In their couple of years together, she'd never seen him be so utterly human. He'd never really spoken to her about his past, and she'd never told him about hers either, it was an unspoken rule they had. She wanted to go to the wake because she wanted to meet his old friends. She wanted to experience all the people that had made him him.

He wasn't going to go, but in the end, he hadn't driven back to his mother's house. He'd taken her to the wake like she wanted, even though he had a feeling he'd regret it. Honestly, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Delaney again. She'd left him so many years ago with no answers and no explanation, leaving him without closure of any kind. It wasn't like he wanted her to tell him why because he knew why she'd left town. He just wanted to see and experience her again. Just be around her for a few minutes, even if they only talked about the weather.

He mingled with Louie by his side for a while, being careful to avoid both Jordan and Tiger. The entire time, his skin was crawling and he was dying for a few lines of blow. He couldn't deal with all these old haunts without something in his system, it just wasn't going to be possible. He excused himself from Louie for a moment, giving her a kiss on the cheek before slipping off towards the bathroom to get his fix.

Before he could even turn the knob, the door opened and Laney came out, bumping right into him. Even the small bump against him set his entire body on fire and it honestly took everything in him not to slam his lips against hers, push her back into the bathroom, and pick up right where they left off, as horrible as the thought was, considering that they were at Shannon's wake. He couldn't help it. When Lane was around, she was all that mattered and he wanted to feel her skin and hear her moans again. It was killing him and all she'd done was bump into him lightly.

She smiled brightly at him before giving him a brief hug and he was glad she pulled away quickly because, had he been able to hug her back, he wasn't sure he'd have been able to control himself. He'd have surely made a stupid choice and turned that hug into a kiss and that kiss into sex before either of them had even realized what had happened.

She slipped past him into the hallway. “Hey, Cody Bear.” She greeted him lightly, like no time at all had passed and her using that nickname for him was like someone had reached inside him and given his heart a hard twist. “You got a smoke?” She asked, sounding exactly like she used to when they were young and he was going to hand her his cigarettes when someone came up behind her, seeming all too eager to sweep her away from him. Even before she said husband, he knew that's who it was. He was smart and often caught details. He'd seen the ring on her finger.

“This is Cody.” Lane introduced him to her husband, who didn't seem too happy to be standing there with the two of them. He was good at reading people and he could tell already that her husband had a jealousy issue and their relationship was strained because of it. “Cody, this is my husband, Alex.” She breathed and he nodded.

He did his best not to look disappointed, and he knew Alex wouldn't catch it because he was a good actor, but Lane was different. She'd always been able to see through his bullshit no matter how hard he tried. There was no use hiding it from her, she would know. Cody just smiled and nodded. "You look good Laney, marriage suits you." He lied. She did look good, she looked like the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, but he could see just looking at the two, that their marriage wasn't a happy one. Still, he wasn't about to say that to her.

It was hard for Delaney to process that Cody was a man now. No longer a teenager, but a man, someone else’s man. On the inside it was absolutely killing her to know, they’d never even gotten to be together. Not like Jordan and Tiger had. She’d only experienced his touch and his kiss out of boredom. They’d hooked up on occasion, but he’d never really been hers. All of the feelings might have been there, but neither of them had ever confronted those feelings head on. To say there was things left unsaid between them was an understatement. The list of things Lane wanted to say to Cody was seemingly endless. She could vividly remember sitting in her room and playing Avril Lavigne song, Things I’ll Never Say and telling her best friend that was her song to Cody.

At sixteen she had no idea that Cody was so in love with her, it was only years later when she was on the phone one night with Shannon, they’d been reminiscing that Shannon had brought it to her attention how much Cody liked her. She hated that she hadn’t seen it back then.

She hadn’t missed the disappointment that flood Cody’s blue eyes. He was good at hiding it, but not good enough and she felt her body ache for him. She had a confession on the tip of her tongue, the confession that Alex and her were in the midst of getting a divorce or rather she was trying to divorce him. Something about the way Cody looked, made her want to tell him there was still a chance for them. She couldn’t though, Alex would murder her, literally. Not to mention, she wouldn’t be good for Cody. She wasn’t good for anyone and he looked happy with that beautiful redhead of his.

"You look good Laney, marriage suits you." He breathed and she visibly winced, no matter how hard she tried to hide the fact that she hated being married she couldn’t it was like a tick she’d developed since being married to Alex, every time someone else acknowledged that she was married she winced.

“Does it?” She breathed glancing down to her ring, the words fell off her lips before she’d realized what she’d said. It was like she couldn’t control herself around Cody. She’d almost forgotten Alex was standing next to her until He opened the door directly to the side of him and she felt her breathing catch in her throat, realizing the detrimental mistake she’d just made.

“It was really nice meeting you.” There was a shortness to Alex’s voice as he grabbed Delaney by her upper arm a little too roughly yanking her past him and into the room. “But, If you don’t mind I need to talk to my wife.” The was something about the way Alex said ‘my’ that made Delaney seem like more of an insignificant object then someone he actually cared about. He slipped into the room then slamming the door shut and locking it.

“Alex please.” Lan whispered as if begging him not to scream at her with an old friend on the other side of the door, who she was sure would stay there to listen, because she knew Cody well. Her father hated Cody, because on the few occasions Cody had been over at her house handing out with her and Dakota and her father had pulled her aside to scold her for something, Cody typically intervened.

“You want me to kick your ass?” He hissed. Lane took a step back, but not quick enough as Alex reached out pulling her back to him and shoving her so hard against the door, her head smacked against it and the metal of the door knob drove itself into her back. She let out a groan that was filled with anger and pain. “You were practically fucking him with your eyes Laney!” His voice rose as he held her tightly against the door, Delaney tried to fight back but it was no used, Alex was fill with jealous rage and he was ten times as strong as her.

“I wasn’t.” Lane breathed, but Alex didn’t’ buy it as he pulled her away from the door, to shoved her once again into it. “Fuck.” Delaney groaned her voice clearly filled with pain.

“I won’t sign those papers.” He reminded her and she winced, his voice dark. “Fuck him, I dare you.” Alex growled. “I’ll kill him and make you watch.” He threatened and she knew full well his threats weren’t empty.

This wasn’t his first or his last attack on her. Most of their fights centered around him and his issue with jealous. He was convinced that every guy who came into contact with Delaney wanted to fuck her. He was also convinced that Lane slept around on him, which couldn’t be farther from the truth. She’d learned the last time after stepping out on James, that cheating was something she never wanted to do again. Still, this didn’t stop Alex’s uncontrollable jealous streak. He pulled her away from the door then, opening it and shoving her back out into the hallway. Delaney’s eyes fell on Cody as Alex came out of the room, shoving Delaney forward towards the stairs, not even so much as acknowledging Cody’s existence. Delaney followed after him, without so much as a word, hating that Cody had more than likely heard the whole thing.

Jordan felt small beads of sweat developing on the back of his neck and his stupid fucking hands felt dry, they always felt dry when he got anxious. When he mixed his steroids with coke. His throat itched like it used to when he smoked as a teenager, it was known that among his friends that he was slightly allergic to nicotine. Not enough so that he couldn’t handle a little bit of an itchy throat, which was all he typically got from smoking one too many cigarettes. However, all of these feelings meshed together in a way they hadn’t for several years now. Tigerlily was the only girl on the planet who could make him feel like he was fifteen again, like he was too fucking scared to voice his feelings. He’d dated models, fucked stripes, did blow with celebrities without so much as a stutter of words, yet at the sight of Ty walking his way he seemed to lose his nerve and he wanted to hate her for that.

At the same time, that was the exact reason he loved her. Why he still loved her and he always would. She gave him feelings that would never fade. She made his heart race without the need of narcotics. Maybe she was different, maybe time had worn on her, and maybe she was married. This didn’t however change the fact that for a moment in time she’d been his. They were too young to know what they had, too young to really know how to handle their feelings. He’d never wanted so badly in his life to go back in time and change that night he’d left, he should have stayed. He should have tried to work things out.

He tried not to watch her as she greeted them, greeting one of his dogs as if they were and always had been merely acquaintances. He had to swallow back his pride, swallow back defensive crude comments that tingled on the tip of his tongue. He didn’t want her to be happy and he was sure she wasn’t, he could read her too well. She was hiding underneath her big sunglasses and storytelling tattoos. Still the What Ifs? started to run ramped in his mind. What if she was happy was the one that threatened him the most.

“You look great Justin." She breathed honestly and he wished desperately he had a beer or a cigarette to drown himself in, to hide the irritation he felt when she acknowledges Justin, before she’d even looked at him. He watched her glance over her shoulder as if she was anxious and he knew that look all too well. It was the same anxiousness that plagued Bevie every time he got a little too high. Seeing that anxiousness consume Tiger rubbed him the wrong way, it made him feel guilty. Like it was him that she was looking for to come and break her heart. He had to look down and pretend to be busy doing anything else. "You too Jordy." She breathed and he flicked his eyes back to her, the nickname made him feel venerably raw on nearly every level imaginable.
He was sure it took him a good minuet before he finally replied. “Yeah, I guess I grew up.” He breathed, there was the slightest bit of regret in his voice, like the idea that he’d grown up was an inconvenience. “How’ve you been?” He breathed with honest concern in his voice, despite trying to hide it. He wasn’t exactly sure how to approach there situation, he was glad that he was mostly sober, because high he might have very well confronted her and caused an unnecessary scene at Shannon’s wake.

“We should get the gang back together.” Justin offered, before Lil could answer like he wasn’t’ sure whether the situation would escalate or be fine, but he didn’t want to chance it. “All of us, hanging out at the old factory?” His voice was hopeful. “No extra baggage.” He said glancing in Bevie’s direction as she slipped out of the house with Shannon’s. Jordan glanced over his shoulder, before glancing back to Justin and Tiger.

“I don’t man, we were going to head home tonight and technically Bev is a part of the group so she’d have to come.” He breathed almost reluctantly.

“Come on T, what about you.” Justin breathed as if he was certain that if Tiger agreed Jordan would change his mind.

Jordan looked incredibly uncomfortable. She couldn't exactly read him as good as he used to be able to read her, but she had known him well enough to know when he was on the verge of something. She just couldn't tell if that something was anger or lust. He was looking at her like he simultaneously wanted to kiss her and chew her out in front of Justin and everyone. It made her heart race in a way it hadn't since she was a teenager and she hated how good that feeling felt. She hadn't really been able to feel anything in years, and now, just looking at Jordan had her heart pounding. She wondered what it would feel like to reach out and touch him.

The silence seemed to stretch between them forever and she just waited. If he treated her coldly, she probably deserved it. She'd ruined both their happiness by sleeping with Cody. Cody was a good guy, but honestly, he was the worst mistake she'd ever made. Every time she saw the spider tattoo under her arm that she'd gotten in a drunken, high haze for him, her stomach twisted and she was reminded that she had destroyed her own life.

After a long moment, Ty was going to speak, unable to take the silence any longer, but before she could, Jordan finally spoke. It was so hard looking at him. He looked so fucking good. She'd always known he'd make something of himself. He was too brilliant not to. “Yeah, I guess I grew up.” He breathed, and she raised a brow as she held his eyes, glad he couldn't see her eyes behind her sunglasses. He sounded almost nostalgic, like he missed the old days and she glanced at the house, where she knew Bevie was, wondering if he wasn't entirely happy with her.

“How’ve you been?” He breathed, sounding honestly concerned and Lily took a small step away without even realizing it. She wasn't sure how to answer that question, and she had a feeling if she lied, he'd see right through her, even with her sunglasses hiding her eyes. It may have been five years, but he'd once been able to read her better then anyone else in the world. She hesitated for a long moment, taking a second to make another quick glance around for Clayton before turning her gaze on Jordan.

The truth was on the tip of her tongue. I'm fucking miserable. She wanted to say it to him so bad, let him know how much she regretted the mistakes that had lead to her life ending up the way it had. She was about to speak, but she was glad Justin cut her off before she could. She wasn't even totally sure what would have come out of her mouth, but it probably wouldn't have been a good idea. She was too impulsive. She never seemed to think her words or her actions through.

“We should get the gang back together.” Justin suggested, and she used the excuse to pull her eyes off Jordan and kick herself for almost admitting out loud that she hated her life. “All of us, hanging out at the old factory?” He asked, and the words instantly made her smile, despite herself. Memories of bonfires, vandalism, and petty crime at the beach factory were always good ones. “No extra baggage.” Justin continued and Tiger glanced up as Bevie came out of the house, jaw clenching ever so slightly. She hated that Bevie had the life she was supposed to have.

“I don’t man, we were going to head home tonight and technically Bev is a part of the group so she’d have to come.” Jordan said, sounding extremely reluctant and she didn't blame him. She wasn't totally sure what would happen if the whole group got back together for another drunken night at the factory. It could be great, like old times, but it could also be a complete fucking catastrophe.

“Come on T, what about you.” Justin offered her then. Lily bit her, chewing on it slightly for a second as she thought about the offer.

She gave Jordan a glance, eyes running over him. If she wanted to go she'd literally have to sneak away from Clay like a child sneaking out of their parents house. If she got caught, she'd get her ass fucking beat. Still, Lily wasn't exactly very easy to tame. Clay had done a pretty good job using abuse to fit her with a leash, but every once in a while, she got a small spark of her old rebellious fire back and disobeyed him just because she could.

"Sure. I'll be there." She said with a mischievous smirk, looking at Jordan as she said it. She wasn't sure why she agreed, it was probably stupid, but she had a feeling it had something to do with the way her heartbeat picked up a little every time she looked at Jordan, and she hoped he'd change his mind, even if the thought scared her.

"Bevie was only really part of the group because she had a fake, and a job, so we could get her to buy us cigarettes and liquor." Tiger reminded Jordan with a wicked smirk to her lips as she tossed her cigarette away. She was going to taunt him, tease him a little into coming, but before she could continue, she heard the back yard gate swing shut and knew Clay was back. The smirk dropped from her lips and her shoulders tensed a little.

He walked up behind her and slung his arm around her shoulder. Even though the gesture seemed casual, Tiger could tell from the tension in his body that it was anything but. He was doing everything in his power to control his rage at finding her talking to Jordan, doing the one thing he'd specifically told her not to do. She was going to pay for it later, she just hoped he didn't rough her up so bad, she couldn't sneak out to go to the factory. "Justin, Jordan, this is my husband, Clayton." She introduced them softly.

Clay simply nodded at the two of them in casual greeting. "Come on baby, let's find your brother and get out of here." He breathed the words nonchalantly enough, but she knew what he was doing. He was getting her away from them so he could take his anger out on her in private. There wasn't much Ty could do. She nodded at Justin, letting him know with the simple gesture that she'd be at the factory later, before her eyes flicked to Jordan.

She was about to say something when Clay's arm around her shoulder became a little more determined. He used it to move her, pulling her away from the conversation and back towards the house. He opened the door for her and, just before she slipped inside, she glanced back at Jordan over her shoulder and hesitated for a brief second. Clay, frustrated with her, gave her a rough shove into the house and she sighed as she laced her fingers with his and they went to go get Draco and get out of there. She just hoped the night wasn't too horrible. Hopefully Clay's punishment wasn't unbearable, and Draco couldn't catch her alone so that she could sneak out of the house and out to the beach to see her old friends. And hopefully Jordan was there. As stressful as it had been, she desperately wanted to see him again.

“Does it?” Lane breathed, glancing down at the ring on her finger, like she regretted it and he had to fight the urge to raise a brow. It was plain as day to him that her marriage wasn't a happy one, maybe it was even falling apart, and there was honest regret hiding in her tone that only he could catch. Almost as soon as she'd said it, however, a look of fear came over her and it made him sick to watch. Instantly, he knew that her relationship with her husband was more than just tumultuous and his fists clenched.

“It was really nice meeting you.” Her husband basically spat at him before yanking her off into another room before he could do anything. “But, If you don’t mind I need to talk to my wife.” He said, slamming the door and he heard the lock click, making his whole body tense. As he listened to the argument on the other side of the door, everything inside him was begging him to break in and put an end to the abuse, but he knew it wasn't his place. He felt helpless and he hated it.

The argument was short, but vicious before the door once again whipped open and it took everything in him not to swing at Alex and simply let Lane and him pass. He wanted so badly to get her alone again, just for a few minutes, but after seeing and hearing the relationship between her and her husband, he wasn't sure it was a good idea. He'd just get her in trouble, and the last thing he'd ever wanted was to hurt her.

Cody ducked into the bathroom then to do the lines of coke he'd originally intended on doing, and, once he was good and high, slipped back out into living room, finding Louie immediately and slipping into his place by her side. She was chatting casually with a cousin of Shannon's but he wasn't listening. His eyes were across the room, on Laney, with her husband.

Someone asked him something and he just looked at them blankly, having no idea what they'd just said. Cody sighed and excused himself from Louie once again, edging a little closer to Alex and Lane. He hovered near by but not too close, waiting for the right second. Just when her husband moved away from her for a brief moment to go throw their drinks away, Cody moved in, placing a hand on her shoulder and turning her to facing, trying his best not to feel the heat of the physical contact.

"I heard that everyone's meeting at the factory tonight." He breathed softly, knowing she'd know exactly what he meant by everyone. "I hope you're there." He told her softly, so only she could hear before glancing at her husband. Before he could turn back around and catch them talking, Cody turned and ducked away, making his way quickly back to Louie's side, sliding an arm around her waist and kissing her cheek.

He wasn't sure why he'd done what he just did. He did dangerous things all the time, but he wasn't particularly impulsive. He usually liked to have a plan A, B, C, and D before he even so much as considered his every move. Lane, however, had always been an exception to the rule. She seemed to have some sort of effect on him that made him act without thinking. He hated it, but loved it at the same time because he never really knew how he was going to act when she was around and it was both infuriating and exciting, not knowing exactly how a situation would turn out before it happened. He hadn't had that sense of true recklessness in years.

Lane was sitting at the dinner table. Her family still had the All-American, sit down and pass the bread rolls kind of dinner. Alex was talking to her father casually carrying on a situation about his job as Laney absentmindedly chewed the stings of the hoodie. All she could think about was what Cody had told her at the wake, that everyone was meeting up at the old factory. That and how damn good Cody look. She couldn’t stop thinking about that damn redhead that he was with or the fact that Cody had his shit together. Out of all of them, Laney had been voted most likely to succeed, because her entire fucking family was successful. Hell, her fourteen-year-old brother was competing in science fairs, Dakota was getting ready to graduate engineering school, and Conner was a fucking lawyer. Here she was serving coffee at a Starbucks in Seattle with two failed marriages under her belt. She was pathetic and she knew it.

The pounding of her father’s fist on the table caused her to jump and the drawstring of the hoodie fell out of her mouth, she sat up pin straight like a well-trained dog. “Delaney Nicole.” Her father practically hissed like her name left a bad taste on his lips. “Get your head out of the clouds. I was talking to you.” he said with a sternness to his voice that still scared Lane.
“Sorry.” She breathed and she could feel everyone’s eyes on her. She suddenly felt like a child again, uncomfortably out of place in her own family. Her sad blue eyes flicked to Alex as if to beg him for help, but he seemed just as annoyed as her father and he seemed to fit in better than her even with his tattoos that she knew her father despised.

“Alex told me you’re a coffee girl.” He breathed like it was a joke. “You told us you graduated college, was that a lie? Why are you working as a coffee girl?” He interrogated her like only her father could, belittling her and making her feel small in front of everyone. She had to fight back a flood of tears as she dug her thumbnail deep into the cut she’d created at earlier in the day right before Shannon’s funeral, reopening the healing wound.

“A barista, actually.” She managed to get out, her words quite but they still held power to them. Like she wasn’t ashamed of her job. “It was a lie, I didn’t finish.” She breathed honestly. “Cause’ I’m not capable of that right daddy?” She breathed as she stood up. She placed her palms flat against the table as she looked her father in the eyes. She didn’t have to look at her mother or her siblings to know that they were shocked that Delaney was standing up to their father, they all knew better then to challenge him. “I’m going to fuck up a lot more and you don’t have to like that.” Her voice was calm as she spoke. “You don’t even have to like me.” She smiled softly holding his eyes. “And that’s okay.” She shrugged, before grabbing her cotton candy colored unicorn wallet from the counter and heading towards the door.

“Delaney!” He father spat, calling out to her but she didn’t stop as she reached for the door, Alex grabbed her wrist, turning her to face him, a shit eating grin on his face like he knew exactly what he did. Lane had told him not to mention her job, yet he’d done exactly that. It was as if he got satisfaction out of seeing her so miserable.

“You’re an asshole.” She breathed holding his eyes as she ripped her wrist away from his grip. Opening the door and slipping down the stairs of the porch.

“Laney, don’t walk away!” He shouted after her. Delaney didn’t’ even look back as she walked down the center of the col de sac street. She simply lifted her hand flipping him off as she walked.
---
Delaney knew Gary like the back of her hand. She’d been down every street. Made-out in every dark corner, and is she was being honest she kind of missed it. She wasn’t sure exactly where she was headed, but she’d found herself outside of Tiger’s old house. Her heart pounding in her chest. Lane had a dark secret that she’d kept from her entire group of friends including Cody and Lil who she told everything too. Much like it was for Tigerlily, only on a much smaller scale, Draco was her worst nightmare.

Only Tiger had known that two guys had taken advantage of her, she hadn’t necessarily said she’d been raped and she defiantly hadn’t told her best friend that it was her older brother and his friend who’d raped her, before that night, she’d only ever had sex with Cody, despite what the entire town of Gary thought. She hadn’t told Cody that he’d been the one to take her virginity and she’d only continued to hook up with him. However, the word around town and her school was that she’d slept with the half the high school.

She swallowed her pain because she desperately needed someone to talk to. Someone who wasn’t her family or her shitty excuse for a husband. She lifted her hand to knock on the door. There was a beat of silence, before Draco stood in the door way. That same awful haunting smirk on his lips that he’d had that night and she felt herself take a step back, she swallowed hard. She bit her lip hoping desperately that he wouldn’t try anything.

“Tiger, it’s for you.” He called over his shoulder. There was a long moment of Draco’s eyes on her before Tigerlily finally slipped out the front door and onto the front porch with her.

Lane didn’t hesitate as soon as the door closed granting them privacy she wrapped her arms around her old best friend as if no time had passed. She squeezed her tight. “I didn’t know where else to go.” She breathed honestly. “And I really need you to talk me out of going to the factory, because I’m pretty positive Cody is trying to get me alone.” She whispered, there was a recognizable begging to her voice that she knew only Lil would catch.

Jordan knew that Tigerlily was right. Beverly was only really in there group because she was the only one who could get a car on a regular basis. On top of that her brother was a criminal who could fabricate some of the best fake IDs Jordan had ever scene. He’d felt a sick punch of disappointment when Lil introduced her husband who she was so transparently scared of. She didn’t have to admit it and although she could hide her fear better then most it was still very much there and it killed every bit of Jordan that still loved Tiger. Which was more of himself then he was willing to admit. When Tiger had left, she’d glanced over her shoulder and her eyes hand lingered on him and that was all it had taken for him to change his mind. He was going to the factory and he was going to find a way to get away from Beverly.

He’d told Justin that he’d be there, before finally he said his goodbyes and him and Beverly where on their way back to his mom’s place. Jordan nearly put the car in reverse and sped off as fast as possible when he’d seen his father sitting on the porch, a beer in his hand. It reminded him of the worst moments of his teenage years.

“It’ll be fine.” Bevie breathed placing her hand on his arm softly. He felt sixteen again, wanting to run as far away from his father as he could. Why the fuck was he there. He watched his mom slip out of the front door and down to meet him in the driveway as he stepped out of the car.

“Just, hear him out.” She begged, holding his eyes and Jordan’s fists clenched. “He’s better now.” She assured him. Jordan opened his mouth to argue but his mom interrupted before he could. “Jordan, baby please.” She sighed as if she was tired of the struggles she’d been through and he finally nodded despite himself. “Thank you.” She breathed, before escorting Bevie in the house.

Jordan took a breath, before he finally made his way up the short stairs and onto the porch as he lend against the banister. It was silent between the two men for a long moment before his father finally broke the heavy silence.

“You look good son.” He breathed, his voice was rougher now, he seemed to have aged tremendously over the last six or so years since Jordan had seen him last. He simply nodded in response to his father’s words. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t there for you.” The honesty in his father’s voice forced Jordan to glance up and look at his father wonder if his voice matched some kind of regret in his eyes and it did. “I watch all your games. Your damn good.” His father admitted and it brought a smirk to Jordan’s lips.

“Thanks.” He breathed “I’ll have to fly you and mom out to San Francisco one of these day.” He breathed half-hearted like he wasn’t expecting much from his father, his father nodded offering a soft smile. It was a smile that hadn’t graced his father’s lips in a countless number of years.

---
They’d had dinner and then him and Bevie had gone to bed. They’d had their usual, boring sex before she’d rolled over and fallen asleep. Jordan glanced to the clock on the night stand then. It read 7:30 in glowing red numbers. He slipped his clothes back on. A pair of designer jeans and a plain black Versace shit. He grabbed his wallet and the keys to his car, before quietly sneaking out of the house. Only it wasn’t really sneaking, because he was twenty-three and his family wouldn’t care. It was Beverly who he had to sneak away from. He hadn’t kissed her goodbye, like literally any other boyfriend would have done.

He tried to rationalize going to the factory other than wanting to see Tigerlily. He tried to find literally any excuse to tell himself that he wasn’t going to the factory to see Tiger, at the end of the day though it was the reason. His thoughts, his feelings, everything always came back to her. He hated himself for this, he wanted to be able to move on, he didn’t want to be that small town guy stuck on the same small town girl for the rest of his life, but no matter how much he tried to avoid this he realized that there was really no avoiding it.

He’d stopped at the quick stop and nearly bought the entire store out of their most expensive vodkas and tequilas, he’d also bought an entire carton of cigarettes. He didn’t want to be the only asshole to show up without a few party favors. There was a back road that few knew about that lead to the abandoned factory on the beach and he’d taken that road, before pulling his car to the back of the factory where another car he didn’t recognize was already parked. He had an idea as to who’s it was. Cody’s. At one time, him and Cody had been as close if not closer then Tiger and Lane. There group often joked that they were gay for each other and they didn’t exactly curb the rumors, most of the time they did the opposite playing into it. Calling each other pet names and smacking each other’s asses. That car had Cody’s name written all over it, the sight of it brought a smirk to his face.

He wanted to hate Cody, but in light of the loss of Shannon and him being sober for the moment, he could put his bitterness aside. However, he didn’t go an actively seek out Cody. He simply cut the engine of his car and for the first time in four years he lit himself a cigarette and took a long satisfied drag off of it.

Tiger really didn't want to go home. Not only was Clay furious with her, but Draco had been subtly taunting her all night and she was honestly afraid of him. As much as Clay had promised to protect her before they'd ever even left L.A, she also knew that Draco was notoriously sneaky. It was how he'd never gotten caught and no one seemed to know what had been happening in their house. Hell, the Indiana court system had granted him sole custody of herself and her sister after their mother died.

Lily carefully tested the extent of Clay's anger, attempting to hold his hand in the back seat, speak to him gently, hoping she could gauge his temper from his reaction. The results scared her. He was absolutely fuming. He was going to really making her pay for breaking is rules. She wasn't allowed to go anywhere near Jordan, that was what he'd made her promise about a hundred times before he would agree to fly out with her for Shannon's funeral.

Back at the house, Clay didn't waste time. He grabbed her arm and dragged her through the house, up to her childhood bedroom that they were currently sharing. The door slammed shut with frightening force and before she could even get anything out to try and calm him down, he'd swing his fist, punching her square in the face, causing her to fall back on the bed with a badly bleeding nose.

"You fucking psycho!" Tiger screamed at him, holding her gushing nose as she jumped off the bed. Typically, she didn't fight back when Clay treated her like shit, it was just easier to let him get his anger out, but occasionally, she couldn't help herself. She'd never been one to let anyone push her around, and that sometimes got the better of her. She tried to get past him, and head for the bathroom, knowing she'd be safe there. She could lock herself in and clean up her fucked up face.

However, Clay was in her way and as she tried to shove him aside, he grabbed her by her shoulders and threw her backwards, once again. She stumbled back and fell on the bed again, and this time, Clay wasted no time. He moved over to her and wrapped his hand around her throat, standing over her as he pinned her down to the bed, squeezing her throat tightly enough to make her gasp hungrily for air, but not tight enough to kill her.

She clawed at his wrist and tried to wriggle out of his grip, but he was too strong and his grip too tight. He forced her legs open and stood between them as he yanked her tight dress up. "You seem to have forgotten, you're mine." He hissed at her, using his free hand to slap her hard across the face, causing her to cry out. "Let me help you remember." He spat bitterly, holding her eyes and forcing her to hold his by slapping her across the face every time she closed hers as he proceeded to fuck her roughly, never once releasing his grip on her throat.

_____

Later that evening, Clay fell asleep and she grabbed some clothes and tiptoed down the hall to the bathroom. She sighed when she saw her reflection. Even after washing the matted blood from her face, she looked like a mess. Both her eyes were black, as well as the bridge of her nose and there was an ugly, dark ring of bruises circling her throat where Clay had been gripping her.

Tiger flipped on the shower instantly started to cry, gripping the sink tightly. She hadn't genuinely cried in a long time, and she wasn't crying over Clay's abuse. To be honest, she was so used to the abuse by now, she hardly even reacted to it anymore. She was crying because the state of her face meant there was no way in hell she could go out to the factory now. As much makeup as she slapped on, the bruises would still peek through and she couldn't let the others, least of all Jordan see her that way.

After a brief cry, Ty buried the emotions deep, like she was so good at doing and numbly got into the shower, making sure the water was as hot as it could get, wanting to scald Clay right off her skin. After stepping out of the shower, she slipped on a crop tank top and a pair of shorts, and was towel drying her hair when she heard Draco call for her from the front door.

She was confused at to who could be there for her, and she really didn't want to go see because she looked like absolute shit. When she slipped out onto the porch with her barefeet and wet hair, she was surprised to find Lane standing there waiting for her. Her old friend didn't even have to speak. Lily knew, whatever was wrong, her father had caused it. She'd always been able to tell just by the look on Lane's face that her father had been tearing her down again.

Before she could even speak, Lane wrapped her arms around her waist and Ty swallowed back another wave of tears as she hugged her back. What was wrong with her? She hadn't cried since Jordan left her, and now, she'd only been back in Gary less then twenty four hours, and she'd sobbed once and come really close twice.

Overwhelming guilt filled her as she held her old friend. Had Shannon told Lane about what had happened after she'd left? Did she know that she'd fucked around with Cody? Sure, Lane and Cody were never a couple and everyone thought Lane had been toying with Cody, but Ty was one of the rare few that knew better. She'd known Delaney's real feelings towards Cody and she'd fucked him not even a week after Lane's disappearance.

Still, it felt good to hug her best friend again. Beyond good. “I didn’t know where else to go.” She breathed, sounding hopeless and Ty let out a shaking breath as she held Laney a little tighter. “And I really need you to talk me out of going to the factory, because I’m pretty positive Cody is trying to get me alone.” She whispered, practically begging and Ty bit her lip. She didn't want to talk her friend out of going because she herself wanted to go so badly.

Lily pulled away a little, moving her hands from Lane's back to her face, moving her hair back and placing a hand on either side of her face as she held her eyes, smiling gently. "I think we should go." She said with a mischievous smirk on her lips. She had the same look she used to get in her eyes right before her and Lane went out and got themselves into trouble. "It's been too long since we've given those boys hell." She teased with a wicked grin.

"Just give me a minute." She sighed as she slipped back inside, knowing she had to at least make an attempt to cover some of her bruises before going out. They would still be able to see them a little, but at least they wouldn't look as bad as they really were. After dabbing as much make up as she could along her throat and face, Lily stole as much of Clay's drugs as she could carry in her purse, and slipped back outside, being careful to move quietly so she didn't pique Draco's interest or wake Clay.

Outside, she slipped her hand in Lane's and laced her fingers with hers, like they were in high school again and no time had passed. "Let's go cause trouble." She smirked, pulling Lane along as they walked through the dark towards the beach. Her house was the closest of all of theirs to the beach. It was still a good fifteen minute walk, but Lily preferred walking to driving, it gave her time to smoke a few cigarettes and catch up with Laney a little. She told her almost everything about her life since leaving Gary. She hadn't told her about fucking Cody she'd simply said she'd cheated on Jordan, but she'd been honest about everything else, even the small amount of time she'd spent doing porn after leaving home, certainly one of the more shameful parts of her story.

Cody and Louise spent a painful amount of time at the wake. They stayed so long, nearly everyone was gone and Louie was in the kitchen helping Shannon's mother clean up while he smoked a cigarette outside with Shannon's father. Shannon had been one of the few of their group to have normal parents. She had lost three siblings to cancer, but she'd always had loving parents and had somehow, always been able to see the good in situations and people. Cody had a feeling that trait had come from her parents. Despite losing three children, they'd still managed to raise Shannon in a comfortable, loving home.

"You been to see your mother yet son?" Shannon's father asked him and Cody sighed, brushing his hand back over his hair nervously. His mother had been completely insane, that was for sure, but there had been times where she could occasionally pass for normal, and, during those times, she was a good mother and frequent church-goer. She was good friends with Shannon's mother during her functioning times, and he could remember many saturday barbeques at Shannon's house when he was a young kid, his mother with a cocktail in her hand, smiling and seeming entirely normal and well adjusted.

Now she was laying in a hospital, a rotting vegetable because he wasn't man enough to face her and finally have the plug pulled. He rubbed his throat the way he always did when he thought of his mother, his fingers running across the scar she'd given him that night when she'd attempted to slit his throat in his sleep. It was only one of the multitude of times his mother had tried to kill the both of him. Many people in town knew his mother had been suicidal, just because of the sheer number of times she'd been in the hospital, but only he really knew the full extent of it.

"Sorry, it's not my place and you probably just got in today or yesterday." Shannon's dad apologized before he could even answer. "But you need to stop avoiding this son, it's just going to haunt you." He sighed as he put out his cigarette and turned to head back inside, to help his wife clean up. After that, Cody went and got Louie and they went back to his mother's house.

_______

Back at the house, Cody and Louie spent some time in bed. At one point, during a break, he started to ask her about her past. They'd never talked about either of their lives before each other before, but now that she'd basically seen all the skeletons in his closet, he thought it was only fair she shared some of hers.

She, however, didn't agree and this caused a pretty heated fight. He slapped her a few times and she hit him back, telling him she could walk out on him in a heartbeat if she wanted and he'd have no one, and as much as he hated it, he knew she was right. Their relationship wasn't even a relationship, but it was honestly all he had and he needed her much more then she needed him. He'd already made her rich, bringing her into his cons and schemes. She could walk away at any point now and he knew it was only a matter of time before he woke up one day to find she'd slipped out of his life just as quickly as she'd entered it.

In the end, he knew he had to get his distance from her before something happened they'd both regret. He'd told her he was going to see some old friends, not bothering to tell her where, before storming out of the house. He made it to the beach before anyone else.

It was strange, being there again. He could remember a hundred nights spent there, causing trouble with the others. Hell, they'd even gone out there in the dead of winter when the beach was covered in snow just because it offered them an escape from their fucked up homes, and somewhere no one would fine them.

Cody parked behind the factory before walking down to the beach. He took a seat on one of the logs that was still there. They'd dragged four old logs out of the forest and arranged them on the beach in a square, around a large bonfire pit they'd created themselves. He lit himself a cigarette, enjoying it for a moment, listening to the coming and going of the waves on the shore, and watching as the sun slowly set before flicking it away and heading back up to the factory.

He walked through the crumbling building, loving that it was still littered with liquor and beer bottles, cigarette butts, spray paint cans, and even a few old sleeping bags. His eyes took in the walls, where their group had documented a lot of their teenage lives. Everything from full stories written on the walls like diary entries complete with dates, to simple words and pictures.

He stopped in front of one that simply said Cody and then underneath it, in another color of paint, it read "+ Laney". He could remember the night vividly. Him and Jordan had been tagging the walls, and Lane had come along with them. She'd been bored and annoyed with them for not paying attention to her, so, after he'd sprayed his name onto the wall, she'd squeezed between him and the wall and ruined whatever he was about to write by adding her own name, laughing tauntingly. He'd just laughed and kissed the top of her head before chasing her through the factory.

Cody sighed deeply as he looked at the paint on the wall. He was about to pick up a can and spray over it, unable to stand the memory, missing it so much, it physically hurt. However, before he could even bend for the can, he heard footsteps and turned. Jordan was there with bags from the local liquor shop and he froze, his eyes on his old friend. "If you want to punch me, I won't stop you." Cody shrugged calmly, knowing his friend had to still be holding onto some animosity over what had happened. If Jordan wanted to finally take a swing at him, he would just take it, because he knew he deserved it.

Tiger pulled away a little, she moved her hands from Lane’s back to her face, moving her hair back in a loving way. It was almost painful the was Lil took Lane’s face into her hands. Laney couldn’t remember the last time someone touched her like she was worth something. The people that surrounded Lane after she’d left Gary weren’t gentle. They were loving or honest. They were selfish and cynical, so much so that she’d forgotten what it was like to be touch by someone who cared about you. She felt like an abused dog, being pet for the first time.

“I think we should go." Delaney felt the urge not to cringe when her best friend volunteered the exact opposite activity she wanted to do. The mischievous smirk on Lil’s face, Lane knew all too well. She knew she made up her mind and there wasn’t going to be any talking her out of it. "It's been too long since we've given those boys hell." She teased and there was something about the way she’d said those boys, that gave Lane a false hope that Cody, Jordan, and Justin were there boys and no one else’s. "Just give me a minute." Laney opened her mouth to protest at the very same time Tiger let out a sigh. The way she sighed, kept Lane from protesting. It was as if Lane knew with that simple sigh, Tiger needed to get away from the house and she didn’t blame her, she knew the monster her brother was and from the looks of her beat up face, her boyfriend wasn’t much better. She slipped back outside again wearing a smirk on her lips, despite the fresh bruising on her face. "Let's go cause trouble."

Like most occasions, Delaney hadn’t had to say much to provoke Tigerlily to explain the bruising on her face and once the truth came out about that, the last five years of Tiger’s life followed. Lane hated that her friend was being drug through hell and she had been for the past five or so years. Hell, before that, because he’d had to deal with her brother. Lane chewed on the draw string of her hoodie as she continued to listen on their way to the beach. He cigarette seeming forgotten between her fingers. When Ty finished telling her story it fell silent for a long moment as they walked along the beach towards the factory.

“That’s shit.” Lane breathed with honest disappointment for her friend in her voice. The drawstring fell from her lips as she brought the cigarette to her lips taking a long drag. “You could come live with me in Seattle. I don’t know that it would be much better though.” She breathed honestly. It was rare for Lane to share her personal life even with the closest of her friends, however the words that had just left her lips told more about Lane then anyone in her new life knew about her. The sheer misery and regret was transparent in her voice. “I it makes you feel better…” She trailed off like she wasn’t sure she could admit her faults. “I’ve already been divorced once, Alex will be ex-husband number two when we get back to Seattle. I sever coffee for a living.” She admitted, in a tone that was letting Lily know that her life wasn’t any better, however she was sure to keep the fact that she was into self-mutilation to herself or the fact that she was only part time and her ex-husband James was sending her money. That she was thinking about begging James to take her back, because she wouldn’t make it once Alex was gone.

She was so pathetic, at least Tiger had stuck it out with the same man. At least she could pay her bills as a stripper if her husband left. She knew it wasn’t that simple. However she still could handle the thought of how pathetic she seemed compared to Tigerlily, who’d just told her how awful he life had been.
_____

They continued to talk keeping the conversation a bit lighter as they closed in on the barn. They came through the front and she had to force herself to keep moving forward when she heard Cody’s voice. "If you want to punch me, I won't stop you." He breathed and she raised a brow as she looked to Jordan, wondering why Jordan would want to punch him. She let out a final breath of smoke from her cigarette before she flicked it away and put on her bravest face.

“If Jordana doesn’t do it, can I?” Dealney breathed with a wicked smirk on her face.

Jordan had half a mind to just get back in his car, drive to the park and get drunk by himself. Drunk until the point of blacking out, he was good at that. Good at numbing his paying with drugs and booze until the pain of his past and the present went away for a short time. He smoked his cigarette slow, letting the nicotine cut into his lungs. He could feel the burn frim his allergic reaction started to settle in his throat, but the satisfaction he’d gotten from smoking was worth any consequences that followed. He flicked his cigarette away before slipping inside and finding Cody. He looked reminiscent of the past as he looked over the wall that they’d all taken turns tagging. The factory had been there second home away from home.

It seemed smaller now, shitter. It was still theirs though. It remained frozen in time untouched even which was odd to think that no other kids occupied the place he spent over half of his teenage years. When Tigerlily couldn’t take it at him, Jordan could usually find her here. The very same way him and Cody had found Laney, beaten beyond recognition by her own father. It was the place they went when home got to rough. The place they through parties at and spent the night at when they’d lost track of time.
"If you want to punch me, I won't stop you." Cody breathed and the memories came rushing in. He could remember that night better than most nights. It was still fresh in his mind. He’d given Cody a nice black eye and in return Cody had given him a broken nose. He’d wanted to come to the factory that night hoping maybe Justin was there or even Dakota or Lane, despite none of them hearing from Laney for days. He didn’t though. He’d gone to Shannon’s and spent the night there. Of course, he hadn’t told her and she hadn’t asked. He’d left a week after that, he’d tired his best to talk himself out of taking off but in the end, he couldn’t stand the thought of seeing his future wife and his best friend together. He parted his lips to say something, anything but he was cut off by someone else.

“If Jordana doesn’t do it, can I?” Delaney’s voice seemed as happy as ever as he glanced to his pink haired friend before his eyes fell on Ty. Even in the darkness of the factory with only the full moon above illuminating the somewhat roofless building, he could tell her face was bruised up and he instantly felt that familiar guilt settled over him.

“Who did that to you?” Jordan asked his eyes on Tigerlily taking her in, the words dropped off his lips before he’d even realized what he’d said and he felt bad for pointing out the obvious.

He was so focused on Tiger that he hadn’t realized that Delaney was now standing in front of him. Taking the box of booze from his hands that he’d forgotten he was carrying. “What are you talking about?” Lane breathe and his eyes flicked down to Lane. He didn’t remember her being so short, nor did he remember her looking so frail and broken. It was in the emptiness in her eyes. He knew that look and he knew it well. What was hiding in the blues of her eyes, stared back at him every time he looked in the mirror. He was confessed by her question and she seemed to realize this by the way her brows furrowed. “Who did what to her?” Laney repeated the question and he realized what she was doing, she was protecting Tiger, making it clear that it wasn’t his place to ask and he shouldn’t have.

“Right.” He breathed. She’d always been something of a mom to the group. She was always changing the subject when it got to heavy or avoiding an answer for one of them. It was as if Delaney was trained to dodge everyone else bullet for them. “What I meant-”

“Was that you had more booze in the car and you needed help? Or was this all of it.” Delaney promptly cut him off. Jordan smirked she had that same damn fire. He rolled his eyes, he hadn’t realized how much he’d missed all of them until he was back.
“I’ll take a raincheck on that punch Cody.” He said as he turned on his heels to head back to the car. “I got like three more boxes. I bought out the liquor store.” He called over his shoulder. “I’m gonna need some help.” He breathed.

“Tiger, that’s all you.” He heard Lane call across the factory and he made a mental note to thank Lane for granting them a moment alone, even if she hadn’t meant to. I wouldn’t matter if Tiger said nothing to him, just being alone with her for a minuet was worth it.

“That’s shit.” Lane breathed and Tiger sighed deeply as she smoked a cigarette and nodded, she wasn't totally sure why she'd just admitted everything she had. She was just never really the quiet type and Lane was shockingly easy to talk to. “You could come live with me in Seattle. I don’t know that it would be much better though.” She breathed, sounding completely miserable and she glanced over at her friend, hating that both their lives had turned out to be so shitty.

“If it makes you feel better…” She trailed off and Ty just waited. “I’ve already been divorced once, Alex will be ex-husband number two when we get back to Seattle. I serve coffee for a living.” She admitted, sounding defeated by her life and Tiger just nodded and took a deep drag off her cigarette. Everyone had always expected Lane to make it big, she had the best opportunities out of all of them, and yet her life had turned out pretty sad. Somehow it made Tiger feel a little less like shit about her own life.

_____

They talked a little more as they continued heading towards the beach, keeping the conversation considerably lighter. Ty's heart started to race just a little, the closer they got to the factory, knowing she was going to come face to face with everyone again, including Cody and probably Jordan as well. If there was a moment where her and Jordan were alone in the same room together, she wasn't sure she'd be able to hold herself together, especially after she started drinking.

"If you want to punch me, I won't stop you." They heard Cody say as they rounded the corner and entered the factory doorway. Instantly, a lump rose in her throat, glancing between Jordan and Cody. Fuck, was all she could think as she glanced over at Delaney, knowing if a fight broke out between the two boys, the situation would have to be explained and any friendship she'd just built back up with Laney would be destroyed in a second.

“If Jordana doesn’t do it, can I?” Delaney breathed then with a wicked smirk on her face, defusing the situation and Lil watched as Jordan turned around, taking in Lane first before his eyes went to her. She could tell instantly, from the look on his face, that he was taking in her bruises and instantly, she felt ashamed.

“Who did that to you?” He asked seconds later and Tiger bit her lip and took a step back, looking away from him, not sure how to answer that. She didn't want to openly admit that her husband had done it to her right in front of all of them. She didn't exactly want Jordan knowing that she'd ended up with an abusive piece of shit.

Lane walked over to Jordan then, taking the box of booze from him and changing the subject quickly. “What are you talking about? Who did what to her?” Lane breathed, acting as if she looked completely normal and there was nothing to ask questions about. Tiger let out a soft sigh of relief, grateful that her friend had jumped in because she might have spilled the truth if the silence had lasted any longer, and it would have been embarassing.

A moment later, it was as if the question had never even been asked and Jordan walked back out to his car, calling over his shoulder that he needed help with more booze. Lane told her to go take care of it and Tiger sighed, hating that she was going to be alone with Jordan for a moment, but also knowing it was unavoidable. They'd be alone together at some point throughout the night.

She made her way out to the car and smirked as she watched him open the trunk. "Nice car." She breathed softly, walking up next to him. She was less then a foot away from him as she put her hands on the edges of one of the boxes, and she was doing everything she could not to get nervous and breathless like a sixteen year old talking to her crush. "I always knew you'd make it big." She smiled at him, turning her head to look him over, taking him in slowly with her eyes. Fuck, he looked so good.

"My husband did this to me." She whispered then, before she'd really had the chance to think about it. She'd always been too impulsive for her own good. She was constantly saying and doing things without thinking. "Don't look at me with that guilty fucking look in your eyes though. I can't stand it." She spat then, grabbing the box from the trunk and turning, heading back towards the factory, leaving him there.

Jordan looked like he was going to speak and Cody desperately wanted to know what his old friend had to say. If he wanted to hit him, he'd let him because he deserved it for sure, but part of him was honestly hoping Jordan had found some way to forgive him. The truth was, he missed the hell out of Jordan. He'd been the best friend he'd ever had. “If Jordana doesn’t do it, can I?” Delaney's voice called then and he smirked as he glanced over Jordan's shoulder to see Laney walking up with Tiger.

Tiger had clearly had a rough night and instantly, Cody wondered if it had been her husband or her piece of shit brother that had fucked up her face and he felt sick to his stomach. Again, he reminded himself that if he hadn't wedged himself between Ty and Jordan, the two of them would be happy and Tiger wouldn't be standing there looking like she'd been hit by a truck.

Cody was curious about her bruises, but he knew better then to say anything. Tiger wouldn't want her abuse pointed out in front of all of them, so he kept his mouth shut. Jordan, however, had not. Without really thinking, it seemed, his friend blurted out exactly the same thing he wanted to, asking her who'd fucked up her face and Cody winced, watching Ty's reaction, stepping back, looking deeply ashamed.

His eyes went to Laney then, loving the way she stepped in and fixed things before they got fucked up. It was like they were all teens again. Whenever there was tension in the air, Lane had been quick to change the subject and avoid a fight. Tiger and Jordan went out to get the rest of the booze then, leaving him and Lane alone and he smirked, looking her over. She was still as beautiful as ever and he wanted nothing more in the world then to walk across the room and kiss her hard, right on the lips.

"Still playing mom." He chuckled slightly, lighting up a cigarette before walking across the room towards her. Without really thinking, he placed a cigarette between her lips and reached over, lighting it for her. "I've missed you Laney." Cody breathed honestly in the darkness, holding her eyes as he took a deep inhale of his cigarette, smirking softly at her. It was killing him, not reaching out and kissing her, and it took everything in him not to mention the fight he'd overheard earlier between her and her husband. To remind her that she was better then that. Still, he knew it wasn't his place.

He took her hand with a wicked grin and walked her over to the bit of graffiti he'd been looking at before, gesturing to it. "Remember that day?" He asked, smiling over at her, wondering if she remembered every second they'd ever spent together the way he did.

Delaney hadn’t been thinking when she’d sent Lily to go help Jordan. The thought hadn’t even crossed her mind that she’d be alone with Cody, mostly because she hadn’t thought about being alone with Cody in years. As a teenager, she might have been jumping with joy at a single second alone without Cody, because it meant they could steal a kiss without their friends giving them a hard time. Why they’d never dated was beyond Lane. She was convinced though that it had to do with the fact that she’d dated Justin for all two years of middle school. Not that Justin would have cared if they dated, their relationship had been far from serious and it had been a mutual break up. Still she was pretty sure that both her and Cody thought they were betraying one of their best friends by dating.

Lane knew she probably shouldn’t drink because at some point she had to go back home and face her family and Alex. She already knew Alex was going to fuck her up, if she showed up drunk after the way she’d stormed out, she might very well be buying her ticket to die. However, she couldn’t help her childlike impulses, she was like a kid in a candy store as she glanced down at the selection of expensive liquor trying to pretend she didn’t feel Cody’s eyes burning into her, making her want to crawl out of her skin. She plucked a bottle of Grey Goose. She popped the top and took a swig before Cody finally spoke.

"Still playing mom." He chucked as she turned to face him, taking another swig of the vodka. She watched him light himself a cigarette, placing one between her lips and lighting it for her. She remained frozen where she stood, like a little girl standing in front of their idol. He was too close for her comfort, because she could feel the heat between them, the heat she missed so fucking back. She could see just how incredible he looked, every sharp feature of his face and how the blue in his eyes had only become a more firey blue with time. "I've missed you Laney." He breathed making her heart skip in her chest as he inhaled from her cigarette reminding her she had her own as she took a drag off the one he’d given her. She had to fight an irritated groan, even his fucking cigarettes were telling of how good he’d done for himself, they were the expensive kind. The kind of cigarettes crime King Pins used to hand her across the poker table in Vegas.

He took his hand in hers and she had to fight the urge to completely retract from his touch, she simply took a sharp breath in as he guided her over to the old wall. She took another swig from the bottle of vodka, hoping desperately he couldn’t feel how tiny her wrist was or the scars that littered her forearms. If she wasn’t wearing that hoodie, she was typically wearing an arm full of wrist bands to cover up her handy work.

"Remember that day?" He questioned as he glanced over to her and she traced the spray-painted writing. His name in jet black and hers in hot pink. She remembered it so vividly, it was as if they’d just done it yesterday.

“That night.” She breathed, her voice was quiet. “It was night.” She reminded him. She took another swig of the vodka, already starting to feel the slightest bit of a buzz coming on, she reminded herself to slow down but knew she wouldn’t. She finally glanced to him and really looked at him instead of threw him. “I shouldn’t have had to do it.” She breathed, her words falling off her lips without really thinking about it, she was referring to the fact that he hadn’t added the + Laney. “I forgive you though.” Her seemingly sad thoughts turned to a playful grin on her lips, like she was pulling herself out of the memories. “He’s always that terrible by the way.” She breathed returning her eyes back to the wall. She wasn’t sure why she’d admitted the truth about Alex to Cody of all fucking people. She just felt like she needed to get it off her chest. She wanted to be the one to say it before he got drunk, lost his decency and asked her about what he’d clearly heard earlier that day.

She brought her cigarette to her lips then, blowing out a breath of smoke and chasing her last sentence with another drink of Vodka. “She’s pretty.” Delaney finally breathed. There was honest happiness for him in her voice, she hid the disappointment well. Almost too well. “Almost pretties then you.” She teased as she walked past him continuing down the tagged wall that seemed endless as she recalled every single memory that went with each tagged story, word, picture, and phrase on the wall. She need to crate distance between her and Cody and the chance of the conversation turning heavy. She didn’t want to think about life back home or having to face Alex in the morning. She just wanted to be sixteen again.

Jordan popped his trunk open as if pretending to be all that interested in the fact that any minuet the girl of his dreams was going to walk out there and he’d have a second alone with her. For a minuet he’d be in a dream, then the second they walked back into the factory it would be a nightmare. He’d somehow be reminded that she belonged to someone else now. If she looked in Cody’s direction or vice versa he’d be reminded why they weren’t together, why he was so fucking jaded. He was however surprised on how well he’d managed facing them again, he blamed it on missing them. Deep down he knew that they were really the only people he’d ever honestly cared about. Sure he loved his family, but they’d never been there the way all of his friends had. Their teenage years may have been their prime, but in those few short years they’d produced memories that would last a lifetime.

“Nice car." She breathed and the sound of her voice made his heart jump in his chest the very same way it had when they were teenagers. He wanted so badly to rewind back to simpler times between them. "I always knew you'd make it big." She smiled and he glanced to her, desperately wishing their wasn’t this weight between them, because he’d have kissed her right then and there. Still something was holding him back, he knew it wasn’t Bevie and it wasn’t her husband, because he couldn’t give to shits about a guy who fucked up his wife as badly as her husband had. He’d asked the question, but he already knew who’d done it to her. He could tell what kind of guy her husband back when he’d been so controlling back at Shannon’s parent’s house.

Sure he was no saint. He was the farthest from it. However, he’d never beat the fuck out of Bevie. He’d hit her on occasion, but most the time it was because he was fucked up on drugs and she wouldn’t stop nagging him about stupid shit. Still it didn’t make hitting her right and sober he was aware of this. The bruises on Ty’s face thought that shit was unacceptable, but it wasn’t his place no matter how badly he wanted to step in. If she asked him to though, he would in a fucking heartbeat.

"My husband did this to me." She whispered and he winced visibly, he was thankful however it was dark. He hadn’t expected her to admit it and he honestly felt bad for asking. "Don't look at me with that guilty fucking look in your eyes though. I can't stand it." She spat, defensively, before slipping off back towards the factory. He couldn’t let this moment slip. He dropped his box of liquor back into his trunk before jogging over to catch up with her before she slipped back inside with everyone else. He grabbed her arm gently stepping in front of her and blocking her from slipping away from him. He took the box from her arms and set it on the ground, taking a bottle of expensive vodka, he stood back up holding her eyes.

“Share a bottle with me?” He breathed, there was the smallest amount of desperation in his eyes, like he was begging her to give him another shot and make up for saying something stupid. “I didn’t mean…I just,” He paused like he was trying to find the right words and this was probably the first time in years that Jordan had been genuinely nice. The first time in years he hadn’t said some smart-ass mark to cover up his mistake. “You wanna take a walk?” He asked hoping she’d say yes. This might be the only chance he had to get her really alone. He didn’t even care if all they did was talk about nothing in particular, just being around her was good enough for him, which was saying a lot. He couldn’t’ stand to be around Bevie all that long unless they were fucking. Hell, that’s how he felt around most women.

He walked over to her linking his arm with hers, before she had a chance to protest they were walking towards the beach, he passed her the bottle. “Do the honors?” he dropped his arm from hers when he thought they were far enough away from the factory that she wouldn’t change her mind. He rubbed the back of his neck, watching from the corner of his eyes as she took a swig from the vodka bottle. “Where’d you move too?” He asked trying to keep the conversation as light as possible, when really he wanted to ask her a list of question about her shit head boyfriend and if he could be the fuck out of him.

Tiger walked briskly back towards the factory, knowing she had to get out of there. Jordan was seriously dangerous. She wanted nothing more in the world then to kiss him hard on the lips and feel that fire again that he used to make her feel. To feel alive again, and not numb for the first time since he'd left her.

Still she knew she couldn't do it. She was married, he seemed happy with Bevie, and she knew, she'd never be able to stop at one kiss. Hell, if they ended up fucking, it would be torture, waking up the next day, knowing she could never have him and she had to go back to her shitty life in L.A while he went back to his glamorous one and forgot all about her again, leaving her to get over him all over again. She couldn't have him and then lose him again. She wasn't sure her heart would survive it this time.

Before she could reach the factory, however, he caught up with her, stepping right in her way and her jaw clenched tightly. She could tell before he even said anything that he wasn't going to let her go back inside. He wanted to get her alone, and she wouldn't be able to resist him. She'd never been able to. All he had to do was look at her a certain way and she was like putty in his hands.

He took the box of booze from, her, setting it on the ground before grabbing a bottle of vodka and holding it up. “Share a bottle with me?” He offered, looking desperate and she already knew her answer was yes. She'd been watching his games for five years now, not because she gave a shit about football, but because she honestly missed him like crazy. As much as it scared her, she couldn't pass up some time alone with him.

“I didn’t mean…I just,” He paused like he was trying to figure out what to say, and Lily looked away. “You wanna take a walk?” He asked, and she chewed her lip, hesitating for a moment even though she knew she was going to say yes. Before she had a chance, however, he took his arm in hers and started to pull her down towards the beach and, despite her better judgement, Tiger followed. His skin against hers where their arms linked burned so intensely it took her breath away and she honestly couldn't believe that she was stone cold sober, and it had been five years, but he could still set her skin on fire like that.

He handed her the bottle and she wasted no time popping it open. It wasn't a good idea to get drunk around him, but, at the same time, if she was going to carry on a normal conversation with him, she needed to be drunk. “Do the honors?” He offered and he didn't have to ask twice. She took a very long swig from the bottle like it was nothing, loving the way the liquor burned her throat. It distracted her a little from the burn of his skin.

He dropped his arm from hers then and she knew she should pull away then and head back up to the factory, but she kept walking. She couldn't believe how good it felt just to be near him again. She took another long swig of the bottle, wanting to get drunk as fast as possible, but knowing she had a crazy high tolerance. It would probably take a good half a bottle before she started to feel it. “Where’d you move too?” He asked, clearly trying to keep things light.

Lily just scoffed and plopped down in the sand, reaching up and grabbing his arm, yanking him down next to her. She took another long swig from the bottle and passed it off to him. "I don't know why you grabbed vodka, you know I'm a whiskey girl." She smirked as she reached into her purse, digging through the drugs she'd stolen from Clay and pulling out his weed, starting to roll a joint, using it as an excuse not to touch him or look at him for a moment. "L.A." She answered his question with a deep sigh. She fucking hated L.A. "My husband owns a club and I work in it." She shrugged, like it wasn't a big deal even though she hated stripping, and she hated that she'd done porn for awhile, and she hated her fucking husband.

She licked the joint and finished it up, before leaning back on one hand and lighting it, taking a long, deep hit, allowing the weed to boost the slight buzz she was getting from the alcohol. "I've watched all of your games." She whispered without really thinking before bringing the cigarette to her lips again. "Clay fucking hates it, but I watch them anyway, that's kind of why he fucked me up. I'm not allowed to talk to you." She shrugged, passing the joint to him and taking the vodka back, a dangerously wicked smirk on her lips. "Unfortunately, I don't like being told what to do." She scoffed as she leaned back, taking another drink from the bottle.

"What about you?" She asked, laying down on her back in the sand, eyes up at the sky above her dotted slightly with stars. She was eager to get the conversation off herself. She knew if he let her, she would talk and talk and spill her fucking guts about anything and everything, especially since she was starting to feel buzzed. She'd say something stupid, and she really had to try and control herself. "I mean, I know you live in San Fran, seeing as you play for the niners." She breathed, turning her head to glance up at him, handing the bottle back to him again.

"You seem happy with Bev though, and your life seems pretty nice." She smiled, even though it was hard. She didn't want to be happy for him, because she wanted him to be happy with her, but if he was happy, she had to be happy for him. She was a thing of his past, not his future. She had to give that up. "Are you happy?" She whispered, silently hoping that he said no. It would be like a blow to the stomach if he admitted to being happy with Bev, but she'd just have to take it because there was nothing she could do about it. No matter how much she wanted to go back in time and change her stupid mistakes, she couldn't.

Lane's hand reached out and she traced the letters with her fingers, making him smirk. He could tell, in the movement of her fingers and the look in her eyes that she was, at the very least nostalgic. She might even still have some feelings for him and he knew for a fact he still had some for her. She was the only girl he'd ever loved and ever would love. Honestly, if she turned to him and asked him to pick up where they'd left off, he would in a heartbeat because she was all he'd ever wanted.

“That night. It was night.” She breathed quietly, correcting him and he smirked, loving that she still remembered the night every bit as vividly as him. She continued to drink the vodka at a fast pace, but he wasn't shocked. They'd all been drinking since they were maybe thirteen or so, so he knew they'd all built up quite a tolerance over the years. “I shouldn’t have had to do it.” She breathed, and he smiled. “I forgive you though.” She teased, tone becoming more playful, as opposed to sad, making him smirk.

“He’s always that terrible by the way.” Lane breathed then, eyes moving back to the wall and he sighed, knowing she was referring to her husband. Instantly his jaw clenched and he wanted so badly for her to ask him to beat her husband for the way he'd treated her earlier. He wouldn't even hesitate. He'd fuck the guy up beyond recognition if she asked him.

“She’s pretty.” Delaney continued and he almost groaned at the mention of Louie. Sure, he liked her and he needed her, they were partners in every sense of the word, but by no means were they lovers. They didn't really feel anything for each other. Their relationship was simply one of mutual benefit. “Almost prettier then you.” She teased lightly as she strolled down the wall slowly, taking it in.

Cody went over to the box, taking a bottle of tequila and starting in on it before walking back over to her. "Yeah, Louie's nice." He breathed with a shrug. It wasn't really something you said about someone that meant something to you. "And your husband's a real piece of shit from what I heard." He sighed, knowing it wasn't really his place but having to get a word in about it. He took a drink from his bottle. "If you ever need me to, I'll set him straight." He shrugged casually, putting the offer on the table, but not forcing it on her, knowing it wasn't really his business.

He went and picked up an old bottle of spray paint then that was still half full, giving it a few shakes before walking back over to her. He walked up close behind her, so close he could smell the sweet scent of her hair and he wanted so badly to breathe her in like she was his. He placed the spray paint in her hand with a smirk before gesturing towards the wall in front of her, curious to see what she would put up there. Where was her mind in that moment?

Every single thing on that damn wall was from a moment in time, a time that had been so perfect. Hell, she’d take her dad’s beatings and him degrading her a million times over if it meant she could relive every single one of those moments. Delaney hated that she was completely and utterly stuck in her past. Again, she beat herself down, reminding herself how fucking pathetic she was. She was this tired, broken, shell of a girl she’d once been and all of the messages on the wall proved that, even if it was just to herself. The only thing Cody knew definitively was that her husband was a dick. He knew nothing else and she was going to do her best to keep it that way. So that when they parted ways this time, he wouldn’t know her life was a shame. Instead he’d only feel bad for her because her husband was a little rough with her.

"Yeah, Louie's nice." He breathed like she wasn’t all that important to him, but she didn’t get her hopes up, she knew better than to do that. His voice was farther away before it started to get closer. She hadn’t let her eyes wonder to him as he walked over to the box to grab his own bottle of liquor. "And your husband's a real piece of shit from what I heard." She swallowed, keeping her eyes off him, she could feel her defenses weakening around him, it was always and forever going to be Cody that made her obnoxiously vulnerable. "If you ever need me to, I'll set him straight." She bit her lip, that thought of Cody trying to beat the shit out of Alex was painful mostly because Alex was rough. He hung with even rougher people and she’d seen him beat the fuck out of men for simply looking at her the wrong way.

She closed her eyes wanting was desperately to lean back against him when he walked up so close behind her that she could feel the heat from his chest scolding her back. It took everything in her not to let him push her up against the wall and make-up for all the lost time. She felt him put the spray paint can in her hand making her smirk and her bright blue eyes flicked open as she forced all of the depressing thoughts down, telling herself to simply enjoy the moment. She’d pushed too much down as she pushed the sleeves of his hoodie up, forgetting for the moment that her past five years of misery was written in thick scaring all over her wrists and forearms.

She lifted her arms as she started to draw out the number 4, the spray paint, a deep purple, she followed the four with a 2. It was code. A code that only Cody knew. They’d created something of their own language one summer when they’d been particularly bored and no one else could hang out. Over the years it had become as flute to them as English. It was all based on how many letters were in a word. Kiss had four letters. Me had two. This had been the most commonly used code when they were kids, she’d write 42 on him in sharpie and their friends used to get so mad because they never could quite figure out what it meant.
She turned to face him then, there was a playful grin on her lips. Before she lifted the spray, paint can once more before he could follow through with what she’d written on the wall and she sprayed a quick X across his clothes. Ruining whatever expansive, designer clothes he was wearing. “You couldn’t kick a baby’s ass in that stupid outfit.” She smirked as she made her way up the iron stairs, leading to the second floor, referring to him volunteering to kick Alex's ass. “When did you trade in your Hot Topic gift card, for Marc Jacobs?” she called down to him from the top of the stairs finishing her cigarette and flicking it at him playfully, she took another long drink of her vodka, feeling herself start to relax. Wondering when Justin was going to show up or where Tiger and Jordan had gone. She wasn’t sure she could handle being alone with Cody much longer without doing something she may or may not regret. She wasn’t sure which outcome was worse.

Jordan wished he could say the feelings were no longer there for Tigerlily. He wished that he could say once he got rich and famous and far away from Gary he’d moved on and that he was happy. If said that, all of that in the same since he’d go to hell for the worst lie ever told. He could drown himself in money, cars, women, and drugs. It never filled the void that was left in him from losing her. He couldn’t count the amount of times he’d dialed her number, even though he was sure she’d gotten a new number. The amount of times he wondered how she was verged on being obsessed. However, he’d gotten so used to it, that it barley fazed him these days. He’d never thought though that he’d be back home having a decent conversation on the beach they spent most their young years on.

Lilly sunk down into the sand and before he had a chance to follow her lead she was yanking him down next to her and despite his large muscular frame, he went with ease. She took a long swig from the bottle before passing it to him and he took it, taking his own long drink from the bottle, needed to be way more intoxicated then he currently was. There was a million things he needed and wanted to say, but he knew better.

"I don't know why you grabbed vodka, you know I'm a whiskey girl." She smirked and chuckled lightly, he wasn’t exactly thinking when he’d bought the liquor his mind had been a million different places, with the anxiety of going out to the factory, which wasn’t as bad as he’d built it up to be, now that he was there sitting with Tiger. “L.A." She finally answered as she continued to roll her joint, letting gout a deep sigh and he matched hers with one of his own. "My husband owns a club and I work in it." She shrugged, like it was no big deal. But there were a million likes hidden in a shrug that he knew well.

He looked out at the water as she lend back and lit the joint. He took another drink from the vodka. He was honestly shocked and a little irritated that she’d been in the same state as him all along. They were only a day’s drive away all these fucking years. It was a painful thought to know they were living completely separate lives, after all they’d been through together. He remember asking his mother if he was crazy for proposing to Lily, when they were merely seventeen and his mother had told him when you know you know. He still knew to this day who he belonged with and she was sitting right next to him, with another man’s ring on her finger. Another man putting her through hell.

“I've watched all of your games." She whispered and he glanced to her, he felt his chest physically ache at the reminder that she’d known where he was all along, because of who he was. "Clay fucking hates it, but I watch them anyway, that's kind of why he fucked me up. I'm not allowed to talk to you." She breathed and he took the joint taking a long drag off of it. He coughed a bit having not smoked in the upwards of five years. "Unfortunately, I don't like being told what to do." She scoffed as she lend back and he handed the joint back to her. "What about you?" She asked the one question he didn’t want to answer, because it would mean he’d have to be truthful, he couldn’t be anything but truthful when it came to the only women he’d ever loved. "I mean, I know you live in San Fran, seeing as you play for the niners." She breathed and his eyes remained on the water.

It was his turn. He wasn’t sure he wanted to take his turn and admit that he fucking hated his life. Even the money and the fame because it had turned him into a monster of a man. Sure, he’d been hell on wheels when he was a kid, but he’d have grown up still to be a decent human being if he’d have stayed with Tiger. Now he did what he wanted, hurt who he wanted, and said whatever he wanted. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to figure out how the hell he’d answer her question.

"You seem happy with Bev though, and your life seems pretty nice." He could hear the struggle to be happy for him in her voice causing him to finally look down at her. "Are you happy?" her voice softened to a whisper as she asked the question.
His eyes returned to the waterfront, for a long moment, before he finally spoke. “The easy answer, the one that would keep you at arm’s length would be Yes.” He breathed like he knew if they both admitted to being unhappy that was all the excuse either of them needed to cheat. However, he also knew it would only get her in trouble. “But I’d be lying if I said yes.” He admitted honestly, like he hadn’t been honest with himself for far too long.

“I’m fucked up.” He breathed like he hated himself for not being the perfect All-American kid who’d made his dreams come true. “Bevie and I…” he trailed of sighing deeply, like he was having a hard time admitting the truth more so to himself then to Lily. “We want different thing, but I keep her around because, fuck I don’t’ even know.” He shrugged. “I’ve got money, more then I know what to do with. But, I’d trade all that money to go back to you and I.” he knew it was a terrible thing to say, mostly because it gave both of them a false sense of possibility, but it left his lips before he could stop it.

Lily could tell just by the way Jordan's eyes went from her to the water, that, despite what it looked like on the outside, his life wasn't exactly perfect. “The easy answer, the one that would keep you at arm’s length would be Yes.” He breathed and she bit her lip hard before taking a long hot of her joint to distract herself. Jordan was fucking dangerous. He always seemed to be able to say all the right things. In five years she'd had herself convinced she was over him. Now, in just a few sentences, he was going to undo it all. “But I’d be lying if I said yes.” He admitted and she let out a deep breath of smoke. Fuck. Now that they'd both admitted they weren't happy, the temptation would triple.

“I’m fucked up.” He breathed and she just scoffed in agreement, because she knew better then anyone what was like to be fucked up. Ever since he'd left her, her life had been on a dangerous spiral downward. Some day Clay was going to go too far or she'd o.d on drugs, and she'd wind up in an early grave, like Shannon. “Bevie and I…” Jordan trailed off with a deep sigh, sounding exhausted with the thought of her. She took another long hit of the joint and blew the smoke up at the stars. “We want different thing, but I keep her around because, fuck I don’t’ even know.” He shrugged and she sighed.

She almost wished he would stop because he was giving her all the excuses she needed to pull his lips down on hers and feel that familiar fire again that she'd thought she'd lost forever. “I’ve got money, more then I know what to do with. But, I’d trade all that money to go back to you and I.” He said then and those words hit her like a freight train. As always, Lily didn't think first, she just acted. She propped herself up on an elbow and reached up with her other arm, lacing her fingers in his hair at the back of his neck and pulling his lips down to hers.

The kiss was like pure fire and she let out a deep, hungry moan instantly, kissing him harder and sitting up. Before she'd even taken a second to catch her breath and think about what she'd just done, Tiger had climbed into his lap, straddling him and was kissing him every bit as passionately as she used to. It felt so fucking good. It was like, for the first time in five years, her heart was finally beating and she was alive again. Tiger kissed him desperately and hotly, like she needed his lips. Her hands gripped the front of his shirt tightly, scooting her hips forward in his lap so she was as close to him as she could possibly get.

She was seconds away from pulling his shirt off and pushing him down on his back in the sand when she heard the sound of a couple cars pull up to the factory. It gave her enough of a distraction to snap back to herself and remember all the reasons why kissing him was a bad idea. "Fuck." She mumbled breathlessly against his lips, her entire body still tingling. "Everyone's here. We should go back up." She breathed, but she didn't climb out of his lap just yet because she was really struggling to pull herself away from him.

Cody smirked as she stepped towards the wall, loving the look on her face. It was like they were teens all over again and getting a small rush off marking up the old wall. She pushed her sleeves up and he winced, catching a glimpse of her marked up arm. He hated that she was in such a bad place, she was hurting herself, but he couldn't exactly point it out. He just wished he could help her somehow. She was too beautiful and too incredible to be so sad and broken and he wanted to badly to put her back together, but he didn't know how.

He watched her start to paint and smirked wickedly when he saw what she was writing. To anyone else, the wall read 42, but to him, it meant kiss me. It was something they'd made up one night when they were bored and alone. Certain numbers related to certain phrases they used often so they could subtly communicate with only each other even when they were with everyone. 42 was code for kiss me. They would be sitting together with the group and she'd trace the numbers on the back of his hand with her fingers, so he'd lean over and kiss her lips. He could remember a thousand moments exactly like that.

She turned to face him then, grinning playfully and he raised a brow, wondering what mischievous shit she had on her mind. Before he could grab her and kiss her like she wanted, she spray painted the front of his shirt with a large X, completely ruining his pricey, designer apparel. Cody just laughed. “You couldn’t kick a baby’s ass in that stupid outfit.” She smirked and he raised a brow. Back when he was a kid, he'd been a punk, sure, but also considerably more sensitive then he was now. He'd grown dangerous and hard over the years. He tried to avoid fighting, but if he had to, he could really kick some ass. If she was insinuating that he couldn't take her husband, she was dead wrong.

“When did you trade in your Hot Topic gift card, for Marc Jacobs?” She taunted him as she ran up the stairs, calling down to him, flicking her cigarette at him playfully and he laughed again. He fucking loved the way Lane was always making him chase her. When they'd been together, things had always been playful and exciting, never once had things been boring. With Louie, things often got boring. It was why they openly fucked other people. They just got fucking sick of each other sometimes.

Cody knew it was a bad idea to play into Lame's games. She'd already abandoned him once, leaving him devastated, not to mention she was married now. Still, he couldn't help himself. Dangling Lane in font of him was like dangling drugs in front of a recovering addict. There was no saying no. He bolted up the stairs after her, chasing her like they were kids again until he had her pinned against the wall in the next room. His body held hers tightly against the wall and he kept her boxes in with a hand on either side of her head.

"You asked for it." He smirked wickedly before slamming his lips hard against hers. Cody instantly let out a deep groan and leaned his body even further into hers. Fuck, her lips were intense. Even after years apart, it was just as powerful as ever. His entire world was spinning and he completely lost himself in her lips. She was like the purest drug and he kissed her even harder, lacing his fingers tightly in her hair. He was seconds away from reaching a hand up her shirt when a noise made him pull away. "Shit." He breathed, resting his forehead against hers. No one else could make his lungs work so hard for air. "Sounds like Kota and Justin are here." He sighed deeply, hating that he now had to find a way to pull away from her.

Nothing to see here. Move along, 2729648.

Part of her hoped Jordan would move her off him and they'd head back up to the others and pretend she hadn't kissed him. However, she mostly hoped the opposite. As bad as it was, she wanted him to fuck her right there on the beach and remind her what it felt like to be alive again. She hated the fact that, in the morning, she'd have to go home to Clay and he'd punish her horribly, but she knew it would be worth it. One more night with Jordan was worth a thousand beatings from Clay.

Instead of pushing him off her and stopping things while they still could, Jordan moved quickly, flipping her onto her back and rolling over her, a hand on either side of her. She knew she should push him off before he kissed her again, but she couldn't. Her heart was racing and she wanted him so fucking bad. He'd always been her weakness. No matter how hard she tried to resist him, the second his lips were on hers, she melted instantly. Now, after five years of being away from him, she'd have thought she'd be strong enough to control herself, but in fact, her hunger for him was actually worse.

Jordan kissed her again, hard and Tiger moaned hungrily, lifting her head slightly off the sand to kiss him back just as hard as he was kissing hers. She couldn't get enough of the taste of his lips, it was like she'd been starving for five years and was just now getting her first taste of food again. It was all she could do not to slip her shorts off, undo his jeans and pull his hips down to hers just because she was too impatient to drag things out.

He kissed her like he still loved her and it felt fucking incredible. It was clear he'd gained some experience since the last time they'd been together. He wasn't a kid anymore, he was a man and the sex had been great even as teenagers. Now that they were older, she had a feeling it would be phenomenal. He moved his lips away from hers then and she rested her head back down on the sand and tilted it back, closing her eyes, letting out a soft, satisfied moan as he started to kiss her jaw. His lips moved slowly, with purpose and it was making her head spin and her body weak for him. She was growing hopelessly impatient, but at the same time, she wanted to enjoy every second of their time together while they had it.

He teeth nipped her skin lightly, sending a shudder through her as he stopped at her ear, his breath against her skin driving her wild. “We could leave them.” He offered, softly. “I could take care of you.” He whispered, and she let out a tortured moan. She wanted nothing more in the world then to take off with him and leave her shit life behind, but she knew they couldn't. There were too many complications and if he wanted to keep his carreer, she couldn't be with him, not openly anyway. Not a ton of people knew about her time shooting porn unless they'd seen the videos, but if she ended up with Jordan, the media would find them, and jump all over the chance to attack him for leaving his nice, stable relationship to fuck around with a former porn star and stripper. She would completely destroy his image. Plus there was Clay to deal with. He wouldn't exactly let her go easily.

His lips started to move down her neck and she let out a soft sigh of pleasure, loving the way his kiss burned her skin in the most intense way. She wanted his lips to cover every inch of her body. "You know we can't." She breathed, hating the words even as she said them. She pulled his lips back to hers then, kissing him desperately as her fingers started to unbutton his expensive designer shirt. "Let's just pretend tonight." She whispered against his lips as she ran her hands along his exposed chest. It felt so amazing to touch him again, but her eyes caught a glimpse of her wedding ring as her hands drifted towards his belt and she winced.

Before continuing, Lily slipped off the ring and put it in the pocket of her shorts. She rolled them over once more, slipping his shirt off before pushing him down on his back and leaning over him, a smirk on her lips as she held his eyes. "Let's pretend we got married." She whispered, leaning down further, teeth nipping at his ear teasingly as her hands drifted down his chest and her fingertips traced his waistline lightly. "This is a tropical beach and this is our honeymoon." She whispered in his ear, a smirk on her lips as she reached a hand down to rub him over his jeans tauntingly, her other hand starting to undo his belt. "How would you fuck me Jordy?" She teased, using her old nickname for him as she slipped her hand into his jeans then and started to rub him, pulling back ever so slightly to hold his eyes, her lips hovering so close to his, it was nearly impossible not to kiss him, but she wanted to taunt him a little. She just hoped he wouldn't pull away from her because she'd turned down his offer to run away with him and she really hoped no one came down to the beach and interrupted them.

Cody kept his eyes on Laney, not wanting to pull away from her to head down and hang out with Justin and Kota. They would just end up pretending the moment had never happened and he couldn't live with that. Even if he only got to have her one more time, he wanted her again. She leaned in and gave him one more soft little kiss and it made him smirk, knowing she was going to pull away again and he was going to have to follow her once more. She was such a tease, but he fucking loved it. She kept him busy, amused every second.

There was trouble in her eyes as she used a finger against her lips to signal for him to be quiet and he just grinned and nodded. Whatever she had in mind, he wanted it. He followed her as she tugged him along with her out the window and onto the old rusted fire escape. It probably wasn't very safe to be out there, but neither of them cared. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for another kiss and he kissed her hard, tempting to push her against the metal railing and pick up right where they'd left off.

Always teasing him, Lane pulled away once more and Cody just chuckled and followed her up the stairs to the roof. He leaned against the ledge of the roof with one elbow as she hopped up onto it and he started rolling a joint as she walked along the roof's edge like it was a balance beam, arms outstretched for balance.

“So, what is it that you do?” She asked as she tossed her wedding ring down on the roof and he raised a brow, glancing up at her as he lit the joint. He wasn't sure if he should tell her the truth or not. He'd been asked that same question a hundred times over the past few years. As soon as people saw the kind of money he had, they wanted to know what he did. He always just said he worked on wall street or had made a couple of good investments because there were usually very few followup questions to that remark. The truth was, like most people, he didn't know shit about stocks or investing. He was a thief and a con artist. “I went on to be a successful make-up artist.” She told him and he could tell just by the way she spoke that her words were a lie, but he didn't point it out. If she didn't want to tell him what she was now, she didn't have to.

He took a long hit of the joint, then another before passing it off to her with a sigh. "Well I usually tell people I'm an investor." He breathed with a wicked smirk, glancing up at her, wanting to see her reaction to what he was about to tell her. He reached up, taking her hand and pulling her down so that she was sitting on the ledge. He positioned himself between her legs and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her tightly to him, his eyes holding hers in the moonlight. "I'm actually more of a career criminal." He said with a mischievous grin, taking the joint back and taking another long hit before grabbing her by her hair and pulling her lips to his. He blew the smoke into her mouth before pulling away again. "I steal and con." He shrugged like it wasn't a big deal, when, in reality, the shit he was into was very high stakes and in no way something to shrug about. He'd robbed billionaires completely blind.

She turned with practice precision like it was yesterday that she’d been up there with Cody doing the same exact thing. She started back towards him. Watching him roll a joint, she smirked as he passed it to her and she lend down taking it. She took a long, much needed hit off of it. The small buzz she’d had from the liquor was failing and she needed to be higher. She wanted to forget everything outside of her being alone with Cody. She took a second longer hit from the joint, leaning her head back and blowing out a plume of smoke into the air above her as he spoke.

"Well I usually tell people I'm an investor." He breathed and although she wasn’t looking at him, she could hear the smirk in his voice and she couldn’t’ help but smirk, already knowing that Cody wasn’t a boring investor, he was the bad guy. Her body felt warm at the simple thought that all these years, he’d more than likely been fucking people over for a living. He wrapped his hand around her wrist pulling her down and she went with light headed ease as he moved between her legs. Her skin burning where his arm now rested around her waist. His eyes seemed almost a transparent blue in the moonlight and she opened her legs a little wider as if to subtly invite him to have his way with her.

"I'm actually more of a career criminal." She bit her lip, when he told her the truth, wanting him more then she’d wanted him moment ago. He took the forgotten joint between her lips back and took another hit. He grabbed a fistful of her hair, releasing the smoke in her mouth causing her body to crawl with the need for his touch. "I steal and con." He shrugged like it wasn’t a big deal but she knew better, she used to be on the edge of the lifestyle he was drowning in.

“Is that so?” She breathed like she wasn’t at all fazed by his confession. She looped her finger in one of the loops of his designer jeans pulling him closer. She placed a hand on the back of his neck pulling his lips within centimeters of her lips, but not kissing him. Her hands worked expertly to slowly undo his belt, followed by undoing the button of his jeans. “You ever pull a job on Javier Flores?” she whispered against his lips, the name rolled of her lips like she knew him personal. Her hand slipping past his jeans and boxers as she started to rub him, like she wasn’t a married woman.

Javier was the richest man in Las Vegas. She’d slept with him a number of times, upon James request, when they were at the peak of their illicit behavior in Vegas. He owned three major hotels and had eyes everywhere. He was from Cuba and he was a terrible man, who Delaney had stolen from on few occasions. She was surprised he’d never caught her, because he’d have slit her and James’s throat in a heartbeat if he had.

“Because I have.” She breathed against his lips before kissing him hard, she smirked against her lips. She was testing him, if he was a career criminal he’d know Javier. Delaney didn’t think, bringing her skills to the table, when she clearly couldn’t return to Vegas was a bad idea in its self. She’d burnt to many bridges there, yet her words suggested that her and Cody could make a good team because she had experience.

She pushed him away then as she stood up, undoing the button on her shorts before slipping them down her legs along with her thong. “You better make it worth the shit I’m going to get when my husband finds out about this.” She said with a wickedness to her voice, that was far beyond the mischievous girl that Cody once knew. She turned around then, bending herself over the ledge.

Deep down, Jordan knew it wasn’t that easy. They had too many hurdles standing between them being together. However, he’d move mountains if she’d let him. He’d make it possible even if it meant getting his hands dirty and killing her husband. Jordan wasn’t above playing dirty to get what he wanted. He didn’t care how long it took. Jordan wasn’t just going to be able to have a taste of Tiger and let her go, his brain didn’t’ work like that. He had a highly addictive personality and he already knew the effects that Lily had on him. He wouldn’t be able to love her and leave her. He’d make sure to find a way to make her his again, he’d already decided that in the back of his head.

"You know we can't." she breathed and his jaw instantly clenched irritated that she’d told him he couldn’t have her. That they couldn’t be together. Even though she hadn’t out right said that, that’s what he’d heard.

She pulled his lips back to her, distracting him from his irritation with ease. Her fingers worked at unbuttoning his shirt and he didn’t’ stop her. In fact he was impatient and he wanted to move quicker, the buzz from the joint making him impatient instead of chilling him out. "Let's just pretend tonight." She whispered against his lips and he groaned as her fingertips lit a fire along his skin, scorching him straight to the bone. He smirked as he watched her tuck her wedding ring away, out of sight.
He let her gain control for the moment as she flipped them over and pulled off his shirt, before pushing him back down to the sand. She lend over him, a wicked smirk present on her perfect lips. He wanted to fuck her like she’d never been fuck. He wanted to make her beg, wanted to come back for more once they went their separate ways. He needed to be her drug, he wanted to get her hooked on the feeling and he was way too good at that. It’s what got him in trouble with Bevie, because girls he cheated on her with often couldn’t stand to stay away.

"Let's pretend we got married." She whispered, leaning down a little further as her teeth started to tease him, her fingertips teasing her waistline, causing a groan to escape his lips. "This is a tropical beach and this is our honeymoon." She breathed, setting up a clear roleplaying situation and he couldn’t help but smirk. He was having a hard time, simply cutting her off with a kiss and showing her what being fucked was really like. She reached down rubbing him over his jeans another groan escaping his lips, he wanted her to know the effect she had on him, because if she knew she could get him off, hell that was part of the appeal for women and he knew this. If he didn’t get off, the girl lost interest. "How would you fuck me Jordy?" she taunted using his old nickname as her hand slipped between his legs to rub him and there was no hiding the fact that he was already ready to go. It didn’t take much for Tiger, she’d always done it for him.

He enjoyed her touch for a moment longer, before he made his move. In a motion quicker then she could process he flipped them back over. He was quick in his movement to slip off her shirt and then her shorts. He flipped her onto her back then, pressing the palm of one of his hands down between her shoulder blades as if to show his dominance before leaning down. He pressed his lips against the back of her neck. “I’d fuck you until you begged me to stop.” He breathed against her skin, a seriousness to his voice, that told her that she was going to be more then sore when they were finished. He fisted his free hand in her hair, twisting her head to the side and pressing his lips to hers, making sure to show her how much control he had over her.
He pulled back then, so that he was on his knees behind her. He gripped her tiny waist roughly yanking her ass into the air. With one of his hands still on her waist, he used his other hand to slap her across her ass hard. He ran his hand over her angry red skin moving his hand between her legs, he pushed her panties aside, he wasted no time slipping two fingers inside her. He lend in over her, his free hand that had been holding onto her waist, slid up her body and up under her bra as he started to stimulate her nipples as he continued to finger her.

“You like that baby girl?” he breathed continuing to work at stimulating her body in a way that would make her climax, before he even started to really fuck her. He wanted her to stroke his ego, he knew she more than liked it, the moans that were escaping her lips were clear enough, but he wanted to hear her say it.

Tiger loved that he was ready for her right away and deep groans escaped his throat as she touched him. She wanted to please him, to make him feel as good as he made her feel. She was getting pretty impatient though. It had been so fucking long since she'd been with him, she was honestly just dying to get to it. She was about to slip off her shorts and start fucking him, not sure how much longer she could play the teasing game, but he was faster than her.

Before she even realized what had happened, she was on her back again and he was tugging her clothes off. She just smirked and let him, lifting her arms over her head for him as he yanked off her shirt and lifting her hips up off the sand a little so he could pull off her shorts. She could tell just in the way he stripped her what this was going to be like. He was just as hungry as she was, but he was going to be in control of everything from the pace to the position and her heart was pounding as he flipped her onto her stomach.

He pressed a palm down between her shoulder blades, pinning her down, and she bit her lip, loving how fucking dominant he was. He hadn't even touched her or fucked her yet, merely kissed her and pulled her clothes off, and already, she was hopelessly addicted to him. She felt higher than she had in years, and she had a bad feeling she wasn't going to be able to stop at one fuck. Even if it driving up to San Fran every week and fucking around behind Clay's back, she knew she was going to do it. She had an addictive personality and he was quickly on his way to becoming her new drug.

Jordan leaned down over her then, pressing his lips against the back of her neck and she bit her lip even harder to keep from letting out an impatient whimper. She wanted to feel his skin on hers, the weight of his body against her. It was killing her that he hadn't started fucking her yet, but she knew him well. He'd always been a little controlling and rough in bed, and she could tell his need to be dominant had only gotten stronger over the years. He probably wasn't going to fuck her until she was squirming and begging.

“I’d fuck you until you begged me to stop.” He breathed against her skin, so serious she knew he was really going to push her. He was going to force her to her limits and then past that and it sent a shudder through her entire body. The dark intensity in his voice both scared the shit out of her and excited her like hell. She wanted him to really get rough with her, and she knew he'd deliver. She was going to be sore and exhausted by the time he was done with her.

Jordan grabbed her hair tightly in his fist then, yanking her head roughly to the side so he could kiss her again and she moaned and kissed back eagerly. Everything in her was screaming at her to just push him off, climb into his lap and start fucking him, but she knew she had to submit to him because she wanted him to enjoy it every bit as much as she was, and if dominating her got him off, she was more than willing to let him.

He pulled away then and Tiger tried not to squirm with anticipation as he sat up on his knees behind her. He gripped her waist so tightly, she knew it would bruise as he yanked her ass up, so that she was on her knees, with her cheek pressed against the sand. She expected him to start fucking her then, but instead, he pulled his hand back and brought it down hard on her ass. She let out a yelp and her body jolted a little at the sharp, intense pain that shot through her, but she smirked against the sand, loving the feeling at the same time.

There was going to be a bruise there for sure, he'd hit her pretty fucking hard, and she knew if Clay found it, he'd kick her ass, but she didn't care. She wanted Jordan to bruise her up and be as rough with her as he wanted. She fucking loved the tingling sting burning her skin as he ran his hand along the mark he'd just left, moving it down over her ass, between her legs. He didn't hesitate, and didn't bother warming her up. He just pushed her panties aside and slipped his fingers inside her, starting to finger her.

Instantly, Lily started to moan. Fuck, he was good at what he was doing and she couldn't control herself. For the most part, when she fucked Clay, the sex was decent, but it was all about his needs. She blew him, and rode him, and made sure to get him off, it wasn't usually about her pleasure and she'd just sort of gotten used to that over the years. She hadn't really been touched or teased in a long time and she couldn't get enough of it.

Jordan leaned in, starting to tease her nipples as well as finger her and her moans just got louder and more breathless, her entire body reacting to what he was doing to her. “You like that baby girl?” He breathed against her skin and Lily let out a whimpering moan and nodded eagerly, trying to work up enough breath to speak, knowing he needed to hear her say it out loud, but it was nearly impossible to concentrate with what he was doing to her.

"Yes daddy, I like it." She finally managed to gasp as she arched her back and pushed her body against what he was doing to her, unable to help herself. She was getting dangerously close to cumming and he hadn't even fucked her yet. She'd never called him daddy before but she knew, just based on how dominant he was, that it would get him hot. "It feels so fucking good." She moaned, tone absolutely desperate.

She started to tremble as she felt herself climaxing and her moans got even louder. "Fuck." She mumbled breathlessly in the sand once she had, but she knew things were far from over, he was going to keep her going. She'd probably finish countless times before he was finally done with her and she knew it would be exhausting, but she wanted it so bad, it physically hurt. "Fuck me Jordy." She breathed, lifting herself up so she was on her hands and knees in front of him. She turned her head, glancing at him over her shoulder, knowing her face was flushed and she was breathing heavily, but she didn't care. She wasn't going to hide what he did to her, she knew it would get him off to see it. "I need your cock." She breathed hungrily with a smirk before biting her lip hard as she held his eyes, her heart pounding rapidly in her chest.

Cody loved that, even though he'd just told Delaney that he was a thief for a living, she didn't pull away from him. In fact, she looked more amused and excited then anything. “Is that so?” She breathed just as casually as he'd shrugged and he raised a brow, having a feeling she'd done her fair share of illegal shit in the past few years. It was Delaney afterall. She was nothing if not an adrenaline junky. She looped her finger into one of his belt loops and pulled him closer and Cody squeezed her tighter around the waist.

She pulled his lips extremely close to hers with a hand at the back of his neck and it was all he could do not to slam his lips against hers, but he held himself together. He had an incredible amount of self control and patience. He knew how to be impulsive when needed, but at the same time, he could keep himself shockingly calm under pressure. Laney always tested the limits of his patience though. He was his weakness in every sense of the word.

She started to undo his belt slowly, before popping the button on his jeans and he was eager for what came next, but he just kept his eyes on hers, waiting. “You ever pull a job on Javier Flores?” She whispered against his lips as her hand finally slipped into his boxers and he let out a groan, leaning into her touch. He hadn't been touched by her in years and it was fucking electric. He wasn't sure he'd be able to give her up after tonight. He was a roamer, he moved around a lot so he could practically guarantee that, once they all left Gary again, his next destination would be the same as hers.

He knew the name Javier. He couldn't be a thief without knowing that name, he was one of the richest men in Vegas. He'd worked over a number of men in Vegas, and had nearly gotten killed for it. Vegas was where he'd gotten stabbed five times and ended up meeting Louie. He'd probably have gone after Javier if his identity hadn't been compromised and he ended up bleeding out in an alleyway.

“Because I have.” She breathed then and he raised a brow before she kissed him hard once again with a smirk on her lips. He kissed her back hungrily, loving the way she tasted and loving what she'd just told him. Already, he was considering tossing Louie aside and taking on Lane as his new partner. He knew it was a dangerous idea because Laney tended to make him lose his senses, which he needed to do what he did and not get caught, but he didn't care. He had a feeling they could be unstoppable together if he could control the effect she had on him.

She pushed him away then and Cody watched her as she slipped off her shorts and thong, making him smirk. Just the sight of her body set him on fire and he had a deep need for her that he hadn't felt for a girl in an impossibly long time. “You better make it worth the shit I’m going to get when my husband finds out about this.” She said wickedly before turning and bending over the ledge, making it perfectly clear what she wanted.

Cody took a second to just enjoy the sight of her bent over for him, wanting him before he moved forward, closing in behind her. He placed a hand on either side of her on the ledge and leaned down so that his lips were next to her ear. "You think it's going to be that easy for you princess?" He whispered in her ear before pulling back. He yanked her shirt off her head, followed by her bra, tossing them aside so that she was completely naked, bent over in front of him. He gripped the back of her neck and pushed her down roughly, so her chest was flat against the roof ledge, her cheek against the concrete.

Cody ran his hand from the back of her neck, all the way down her spine, tracing the soft curve of her body and loving every second of it. He wanted to touch every inch of her. His hand drifted over her ass, gripping her skin tightly before giving her a hard, swift slap across the ass. "I want to hear you to beg for it baby." He told her, slapping her again, harder this time before he smirked and knelt down behind her, grabbing her thighs so tightly it would leave bruises and yanking them open, so her legs were further apart. "Make it good or I'll leave you here and you'll have to finish yourself." He threatened her before he leaned in and started to eat her out from behind, slipping his fingers inside her as well fingering her roughly while he pleased her with his tongue, wanting to get her as worked up as possible as fast as possible.

It had been less then twenty-four hours since Laney had been around Cody and she was already a lost cause. She wasn’t planning on telling Alex, but she knew he’d found out. He had a way of always finding out what she did as if he took detailed notes of her body, like he knew every knew cut and bruise. It was as if he based his punishment on this alone. Still she couldn’t find it in herself to care, simply because she’d be a nearly two thousand miles away from him come tomorrow evening and she’d probably never see him again. Cody waited a long moment as she bent over the ledge and she knew that he was taking her in, she couldn’t help but smirk as she looked down at the pavement two stories below her. He came up behind her and she had to bite her bottom lip to keep from letting out a premature moan.

"You think it's going to be that easy for you princess?" He whispered in her ear a hand on either side of her, holding her hostage where she was. He was quick in his motions as he yanked her top and bra off tossing them aside and she fought back yet another moan at his urgency.

He gripped the back of her neck forcing her down roughly so her bare chest was flat against the roofs ledge and her cheek pressed against the concrete. She smirked wickedly, it had been far too long since she’d been properly dominated. Hell, it had been far too long since she’d enjoyed any man’s touch. Cody ran his hand from the back of her neck, trailing his fingertips along her spine, moving solely along every curve of her body. She let something between a moan and a whimper. His touch was better than all of her vices mixed together. His touch burned her down to her bone. His hand lingered over her as and she drew in a sharp breath knowing what would follow. His fingertips sunk into her skin as he gripped her tightly. His hand came down on her ass spanking her and a deep moan escaped her lips, a clear sign she got off on pain, more so then she had when they were younger.

"I want to hear you to beg for it baby." He breathed slapping her again and another pleasure filled moan escaped her lips, the slap was hard making her head spin and her heart race. She knew it’d leave a nice bruise and there was no hiding that from Alex, though thought made her smirk darker. He grabbed her thighs and she drew in another sharp breath holding it as he yanked her legs further apart. "Make it good or I'll leave you here and you'll have to finish yourself." He threatened, but she didn’t at all feel threatened by his words, in fact she just wanted to challenge him, she wanted to call his bluff.

“Fuck.” She moaned as he started eating her out from behind. His fingers slipping inside her and heating up her entire body. She already knew she was plenty wet enough for him to fuck her. His tongue was in rhythm with his fingers, driving her crazy and making it increasingly hard not to just give in and beg him to fuck her, but she couldn’t. She knew if she begged him and he fucked her it would be over too quickly. She ran her fingers through her hair, gripping a handful of it for lack of anything else to grip as she released another deep groan. She’d wanted to badly to challenge him, to prove that she could last, however the longer her was touching her, the more she was losing her nerve.

“Holy fuck.” She groaned. “Cody…” she trailed off trying to get her words out, but it was impossibly hard. She arched her body pushing her hips into his touch. “Fuck me.” She breathed, clearly breathless. “I want you inside me baby.” She moaned. “Please, fuck.” Her words were practically whispered because he had her so worked up. There was no use in her putting up a fight, she couldn’t help herself when it came to Cody.

Jordan was sort of a sex addict, sort of was putting git lightly. He was a sex addict and most girls who fucked her were well aware of this once he was finished with him, simply because of the way he fucked them. Still as many girls as he’d fucked, none of them made him feel the way Tiger could. There was just something about them that worked. He wanted to please her before he got himself off, that was rare for him, but he liked to make her desperate, he liked to feel her body trembled in his hands. Fucking her got him off in a way that he couldn’t quite explain.

"Yes daddy, I like it." She breathed, clearly struggling to get her words out and he couldn’t help but smirk, his fingers moving quicker inside her the wetter she got. He could feel her getting close to climaxing and he had no plans of stopping. He absolutely loved the sounds she was making and that he was the one causing her to moan so desperately. He could feel himself grow further and he was glad she’d managed to undo his jeans before they’d started. "It feels so fucking good." He moaned feeding his ego, just like he wanted her too.

He wanted so badly to yank his jeans down and pull her hips to him and fuck her, but he wasn’t going to let her off that easy. He had more self-control then that. He wanted to push her, push himself. His grin turned wicked as her moans got louder knowing she was close to climaxing. Her breathing increasing as her body trembled now at the way he moved his fingers in and out of her with quick rough motions.

"Fuck." She whispered, breathlessly as he felt her contract around his finger, knowing she was coming. "Fuck me Jordy." He slowed the rhythm of his fingers down, before pulling out of her as she readjusted herself so that she was on her hands and knees in front of him, glancing over her shoulder to look at him. He held her eyes, loving how flush she was because of him, but he wasn’t quite ready to fuck her just jet despite knowing that’s what she wanted him to do. "I need your cock."

He gripped her hips, roughly flipping her onto her back, he wasted no time slipping off her panties and tossing them aside before pushing her legs open. “Patience is a virtue.” He reminded her, despite him being the most impatient person in the world, still he wore a wicked smirk on his lips. He lend in then letting his lips move along the inside of her thigh, moving purposefully slowly. He slowly started to rub her between her legs like he was starting the process of getting her to cum all over again. Finally, he started to slowly, message her between her legs, with long slow strokes of her tongue, before he started eating her out.

He waited until she came again, before he gripped her thighs tightly yanking her body closer, he gripped her hips lifting her lower half off the ground, before he finally slipped himself inside of her and started fucking her roughly.
---

They fucked the rest of the night. At one point they’d heard Justin and Kota calling to them from the factory and they’d had to hide out a bit, before they were right back at it. He’d wonder how he’d ever gone so long without being with her. However, he also knew that after tonight they’d go their separate ways. All he could hope for was maybe she wouldn’t be able to stay away and that her husband wouldn’t murder her. They’d already gotten dressed and were quite as they sat there on the beach watching the sun come up over the water. His jacket draped her shoulders and her head lend against his shoulder. He couldn’t honestly remember the last time he’d watched the sun rise, but watching it with her felt incredible. He pressed his lips to the top of her head.

“You know, you can always call me.” He whispered against the top of her head before turning his eyes back out to the rising sun. He wanted to let her know that if she ever needed him, if things got too bad between her and her husband, he was just a phone call away.

Tiger expected him to finally fuck her then. When they were younger, he'd always been pretty controlling and rough, but he hadn't been so damn patient. Now he was fully dominant and it excited the hell out of her. She wanted to do things she knew she shouldn't just to see if he would punish her, but at the same time, she was too desperate to fuck around and test his pride. At that point, she'd say or do anything he asked just to get him to fuck her and she knew that was just how he wanted her.

He gripped her hips then and it was all she could do not to push back against him and beg him to fuck her senseless. He made her feel so fucking good. She lost all control of herself when she was with him. Instead of fucking her, he flipped her onto her back and she bit her lip as she looked up at him, her eyes on his as he pulled her panties off and pushed her legs open. She couldn't remember the last time her heart had been beating so hard, it was nearly impossible not to whimper and squirm in anticipation. “Patience is a virtue.” He breathed then with a wicked smirk that made her head reel.

She let out a tortured moan, knowing what that meant. He wasn't going to fuck her just yet, he was going to make her cum at least one more time and wouldn't be satisfied until she was breathlessly begging. Jordan leaned in then, his lips starting to move slowly along the inside of her thigh. She was still panting and trembling a little from the first climax and wasn't sure she was ready for another one, but she could feel herself getting worked up all over again. He was going to completely exhaust her before the end of the night, that was for sure.

He rubbed her slowly between the legs, working her back up and she closed her eyes and let out deep, satisfied moans. Only Jordan could get her worked up over and over again. She was lucky if she even got to cum at all sometimes when it came to Clay, let alone multiple times. Jordan worked her body so expertly, it was almost scary, he knew exactly how to get her hot and keep her going for longer then she could stand. His tongue stroked her slowly between the legs, making her breathing pick up, knowing what was next. Finally, he started eating her out and Tiger honestly lost herself. She reached down, gripping his hair tightly and pushing her hips against him, unable to control herself in the slightest.

She moaned louder and louder until she was practically screaming as she climaxed for the second time that night, her body squirming so bad with the intense pleasure he had to grip her to keep her in place. Lily was panting and breathless and wanted a second to catch her breath, but Jordan didn't give her one. Before she could even recover from the second climax, he'd gripped her thighs and yanked her closer, sliding his hands up to her hips to pull her lower body up off the sand slightly as he slipped inside her finally and started to fuck her roughly.

---

They spent the rest of the night fucking on the beach. Jordan was rough and intense with her to the extent where she had to beg him for a short break at one time because he was truly pushing her to her limits sexually, and her limits were pretty hard to reach seeing as she'd worked in porn at one point. It was by far the best sex of her life and he'd hardly let her catch her breath. Aside from the break she'd begged for and a short bit of time spent hiding from Justin and Kota, he'd kept her stimulated in some way or another nearly all night.

When it was finally over, it was pretty safe to say Tiger was spent. She was totally weak and her entire body trembled for a very long time. She felt like she never wanted to move again, but eventually, she got up and got dressed before taking a seat next to him in the sand. She let out a shuddering sigh and rested her head tiredly against his shoulder. If he wasn't there, she'd have probably just passed out right there, naked on the beach, but she didn't want to close her eyes, not for a second. The moment was too good. She wanted it to last forever.

As the sun started to rise on the horizon, it was beautiful to watch, but, at the same, anxiety started to build in her chest. She wanted to reach out and push the sun back down because she needed more time with Jordan. She didn't want to go back to Clayton, exhausted and roughed up enough already only to get the shit kicked out of her. She didn't want to go back to her life in L.A. She wanted to go with him to San Fran, even if she had to be his dirty little secret no one knew about so he could keep his career. She just wanted him. Especially now that she'd had him. She was hopelessly addicted already and she was planning the next time she could get away from Clay long enough to drive up to San Fran and see him.

She shuddered so he wrapped his jacket over her shoulders before kissing the top of her head and she smiled softly. She loved that he could rough her up like he just had, and then kiss her gently and try to keep her warm like a gentlemen the next. “You know, you can always call me.” He whispered against the top of her head and she closed her eyes, letting out a deep sigh and keeping her eyes on the slowly rising sun.

"I will baby, don't worry." She said with a wicked smirk on his lips, reaching down to lace her fingers with his, giving his hand a soft squeeze, letting him know she wanted to see him again. Yes, for the sex, but also because she needed him all over again. She just needed the way he made her feel when he was around, even if he never kissed her again, she just wanted to hear his voice and see his face. To feel alive again just from being close to him.

"Where the fuck were you guys?" Justin shouted as he came stumbling out of the factory with Kota. Both of them had been clearly drinking all night long because they didn't even seem to register the exhausted way she looked or the way her and Jordan held hands. They just flopped down in the sand next to them, Kota laying flat on his back with a groan and Justin sitting back on one hand, chugging a beer with the other before chucking the bottle towards the lake. Both men were clearly blackout drunk and she just smirked, enjoying the moment as Cody and Lane came out and joined them next, Justin was mumbling drunkly about something but she wasn't listening. She had her eyes on the sunset, wishing it wouldn't end. It felt so fucking good to sit there watching the sunrise with everyone who'd ever meant anything to her.

“Fuck.” Laney moaned as he pleasured her with his tongue and fingers and he couldn't help but love it. The sounds of her moans god him so fucking hot and he wanted to get her to the point where she just couldn't take it a second longer. He wanted her writhing and begging like she couldn't live another second without him fucking her. She was very stubborn, however and always had been so he knew it wasn't going to be easy. She was going to make him work a little for what he wanted. He could tell she was holding back, resisting the intense pleasure he was making her feel.

She was soaking wet, he'd hips pushed against him, she was pulling at her own hair, and her moans were deep and almost tortured. She was losing it, but was trying as hard as she could to hold it together and he couldn't help but smirk before getting even rougher, his tongue moving faster, his fingers working in and out of her harder, wanting to drive her past her breaking point. He loved that she didn't just melt for him instantly. She was actually struggling to resist him and he couldn't get enough of it because he knew, no matter how hard she tried to fight it, he'd get what he wanted. He always did.

“Holy fuck.” She groaned and he knew then she was on the edge of caving so he used a hand to grip her ass and pull her even closer so he could tease her better, really working his tongue between her legs in all the right ways. “Cody…” she trailed off, clearly struggling to speak. “Fuck me. I want you inside me baby.” She moaned hungrily and it took everything in him not to just stand back up and start fucking her right then and there. She knew just how to get him worked up, the same way he knew how to work her. “Please, fuck.” She practically whispered.

Cody smirked and pulled away then, standing up behind her. He slipped his jeans down and pushed his hips against her so she could feel him, but he didn't fuck her just yet. He gave her another sharp smack across the ass, using his other hand to grip her hair tightly, yanking her head up. "Louder then that babe, I them to hear you downstairs." He smirked dangerously as he slipped a hand between them. He slipped two fingers back inside her and started fingering her again, fast and rough, while he held her head up by her hair with his other hand.

He continued to finger her like that for a long time. Every time she begged, he told her it wasn't loud enough and smacked her ass before continuing. Every time she came close to cumming, he slowed down or stopped for a second before going back at it. When he was finally satisfied torturing her, Cody pulled his fingers out of her, using his now free hand to pin both her arms behind her back, pushing her head back down. Finally, he slipped himself inside her and started to fuck her hard, holding onto her hair, keeping her head down, as well as her arms, keeping them pinned the whole time.

______

When they finally finished he was exhausted. She was the only girl in the world that could wear him out the way she did, but eventually, they just had to stop. It was practically impossible for him to continue just because he was so tired. They'd fucked all night and he'd been extremely rough with her the entire time, never once letting up, even when she begged to stop, he pushed her just a little further.

The next morning, they got dressed and smoked a cigarette together while they talked a little more. He made a point to ask her where she was living, knowing he had to make it his next destination. He needed her now. He couldn't just have a taste and then forget her all over again. He wanted to make her his again if it was the last thing he did.

He kissed her a hundred more times as they talked and smoked, gently this time before, eventually, he gestured down to the beach were the others were sitting. He took her hand hen and lead her back down through the factory toward the beach. He knew there was a lot of ugly memories and bad blood between all of them, but that was honestly the minority of their time together. Most of their memories had been good ones and, it was like they were all fifteen and sixteen again as they say there watching the sunrise together for the first time in ages.

Alex hadn’t done anything to Delaney, he’d acted eerily nice until they’d walked through the door of their apartment and all hell had broken loose. She’d spent the first week in the hospital after he’d beat the living shit out of her. He’d gotten arrested, only because the neighbors had seen her run out of the house and he’d finished his beating on the front lawn. He’d started accusing her and Delaney was filling far too good to let him ruin it, so impulsively she’d told him everything to spite him. She’d gotten out of the hospital and made her way home to pack her shit. She had half a mind to call Cody, but she couldn’t let him see her the way she was, covered in bruises and looking like a corpse version of herself. She’d opted to call James, but as luck would have it for Delaney, Alex knew people in Seattle and he’d posted bail and come home just as she was dialing James’s number with her bags packed.

He’d finally signed the paper, only to shred them and keep her caged like an animal for the next few weeks that followed. He’d handcuff her when he left for work. He’d forced her to call her job and quiet. He’d rape her, then bring girls over and force her to watch him have sex with other girls. He’d starve and by the end of the two and a half week, she was dangerously thin, it wasn’t like Laney weighed very much to begin with. Had it not been for one of her co-workers checking in on her she was sure she would have died. Although Alex didn’t let her co-worker in, her co-worker had been smart enough to call the police suspicious of the way Alex was acting. The cops busted in that evening and again Alex was arrested.

Delaney’s life was a shit show, there was no other way of explaining it and her family could careless. Not that it was there fault, Lane knew her family was tired of her antics. She hadn’t even bothered to call them. Her body was littered in fading bruises. She was still sickly underweight and she was currently staying a women’s rehab facility. She’d thought briefly about calling Tigerlily. However, everyone had once again gone their seprate ways after Shannon’s funeral and she wasn’t sure she had any authority to call Tiger. In the end, she was at the mercy of her ex-husband, James.

The pink had completely washed out of Delaney’s platinum blonde hair, because she hadn’t had a chance to color it again. Her bright blonde hair making her look even paler, despite it being tied up in a messy bun on top her head. The clothes she wore were loose fitting, she had a new hoodie now, Alex had burned the one she’d taken from Cody, the one that she’d always worn and she’d been devastated. All of the scars that litter her forearms were uncomfortably present. She hadn’t had coke in far too long, she was still suffering from withdrawals occasional. She was absentmindedly spinning the hospital bracelet on her wrist. She couldn’t’ bring herself to look at James who was now sitting across from her in the cafeteria.

“Baby.” He breathed like he was at an utter loss for words at the way she looked. She bit her lip to keep from crying, why she’d ever left James she’d never know. He was the only good thing that had happened to her. He had his flaws, but he honestly cared about her and aside from when he’d found out she’d cheated with Alex, he’d never laid a hand on her. “Come home with me.” He breathed, more than willing to take her back. “I miss you.” There was an honesty in his voice that caused the tears to roll down her cheeks, even thought she’d tried her best to fight them. He placed his hand on top of hers. Her eyes flicked up to meet his as if suddenly something had clicked in her.

“I’m still married to him.” She breathed, pulling her hand away from James. She wimped her tears away. “When he gets out, he’s going to kill me.” she ran her thumb across the scars on her forearm. Sure Alex had fucked her up, but now she was playing into James offer, she didn’t have to, but she was for her own selfish reason.

“I can fix that.” He stated simply and she didn’t doubt James. He knew people, dangerous people. He was wealthy all it would take was for him to pay off the right person and Alex was as good as dead. “Just come home with me.” He urged.

_________

It had taken Delaney less than a day to settle back into her glittering lifestyle. This time James was a professional poker player, not just one in training. He was living out of a suite in one of the most expensive hotels in Vegas. One that happened to be owned by Javier. She had her freedom back, the freedom Alex had taken from her. James was more trusting, because he treated her more like they were a team. He knew what Delaney was capable of, distracting the older men that played at the tables while her worked his magic. It was like the weak, broken girl she was with Alex never existed. That was the thing about Lane, she was capable of changing her personalities like one would change a pair of shoes.

Delaney had sixty-year-old billionaires eating out of the palm of her hand. She was back to her deadly coke habits, fucking James and fighting with him in the same breath. If Laney wasn’t mistaken this was the life she was built for. She fit so well, it was as if no time had passed between her and James. Alex had a target on his back, James had paid off a guy and Lane was back to fearing no one.

The one mistake that Lane made though was getting a hold of Cody. She’d called him a few days after she’d gotten to Vegas. James had gone out and she’d sat in the bath tub a bottle of champagne deep, she called him and drunkenly told him everything that had happened. After all that was why she’d gone to Vegas with James in the first place, she knew after her little comment to Cody about Javier he wouldn’t be able to resist. However, he sure was taking his sweet ass time getting their it had already been two weeks since she’d called him and she had come to terms with the fact that he wasn’t coming. Good. She kept telling herself. She didn’t need him, if he came he’d probably bring that stupid redhead of his anyway.

Delaney’s hair was cotton candy pink once again. It hung in loose waves to her waist. James had shelled out a shit tone of money to get her looking like the girl she was before she’d left with Alex, that included extinctions, make-up that could cover her scars and bruises, and a designer wardrobe. On this particular night she wore a skin tight, ruby red, velvet bodycon dress. It showed every curve of her body. Her make-up was flawless and her heels made her look more like a super model then a pixie, granting her some height. She took a sip from her glass of bubbling champagne as she pretended to be interested in a man in his fifties, who wore an expensively tailored suite. She lend in kissing his cheek and she had to try not to react when James gave her ass a light pat a sigh she was doing her job distracting and he was winning.

The atmosphere in the casino they were in seemed to shift noticeably, but only to Delaney as she stood up straight and her eyes caught sight of Cody, dressed in his best, looking like a million dollars as he made his way through the casino towards their table. How he’d found her, she had no idea out of all the casinos, hell out of all the poker tables. Yet there he was. She looked a hundred times different from the last time he’d seen her. All she wanted to do was to kiss him right her in front of his stupid girlfriend who was at his side loyally and in front of James, but she couldn’t they had to pretend not to know each other, they had a plan. They were going to not only take Javier, but James as well, that was if they didn’t get killed trying.

Jordan loved California for a number of reasons. In fact, he wasn’t sure he ever wanted to leave. Gary would always be home, but if felt incredible coming back home to California. The weather was never bad, living by the ocean was incredible, and it was good to be back on the field. He could look out in the audience of football fans and point out a number of his jerseys on fans of all ages. It was such a surreal feeling, he’d never get used to it. He tried his hardest to keep his mind off of the night he’d spent with Tiger. Bevie didn’t suspect a thing and he probably should have felt bad about it, but he didn’t. He missed the hell out of Tiger and he’d been tempted to fly to LA a number of times in the first week back in San Francisco. He knew he couldn’t though.

The reality of the situation was, if he went to Los Angles and saw a badly beat up Lily, he’d know he was the one that caused it and he wasn’t sure he could deal with that kind of fucking guilt. He’d do something dangerously impulsive. He’d hurt himself or he’d kill Tiger’s husband, he knew it was just better if he didn’t stick his nose further into her business. He knew it was safer for the both of them. That didn’t mean however that she wasn’t constantly on his mind. He worried about her non-stop, because he wasn’t sure if she was even okay. From what he’d seen at Shannon’s wake, her husband was a dick, plain and simple. There was no telling what he’d done to Tigerlily when he’d seen markings on her body that were Jordan’s handy work and not his own.

He was able to keep his mind mostly busy with work however, which seemed to help curb his addiction to plotting a way to get Lily back, even though Bevie was still very clearly his girlfriend. They were gearing up for their second week of the season. It was a home game. He’d put Tiger’s name on the VIP list instead of his father’s, he hoped maybe she’d show up. It’d be his last week home for the next month, because all of his other games would be in different cities. A part of him wished that his job took him close to LA, so he had an excuse to stop by, but he was on the opposite side of the state and there was nothing he could do about that. He knew two things though; one he knew without a shadow of a doubt that he was still madly in love with Ty and two he’d get her back it was just a matter of when.

The ocean mist was still heavy in the air, the San Francisco sky was gray and it was on the verge of raining. This however didn’t stop the team from practicing and warming up for the night’s game. If there was one thing Jordan was good at, it was blocking out unnecessary thoughts when he was on the field. Despite the cool, nearly rainy weather Jordan had his shirt off, sweat dripping off his body as he ran across the field dodging his teammates, the football tucked under his arm. He’d pooped a couple steroid pills, other than that however he was stone cold sober, he performed the best this way. He was nearly unstoppable on the field. He was quick on his feet as he made a touch down tossing down that ball on the ground.

His teammates hitting his helmet in a congratulatory way. It didn’t matter that this was simply practice they treated it as if it was a real game. He slipped off his helmet as the water boy brought him his bottle of water and he rehydrated. The coach dismissed them and he made his way to the locker room to get ready for the game. It was a process. A chiropractor came in to adjust his body, a masseuse came in and loosed up his muscles.

_________

Jordan stepped out of the shower, it was an hour until game time. He checked his phone having the smallest inkling of hope that maybe Tiger would have messaged him or called him. He hadn’t heard from her since they’d left Gary a month and a half ago. He didn’t want to be the one to call her though, cared if he did he’d get her in trouble. There was nothing from her only a few missed calls from Beverly. He was getting ready to call her back when his teammate called out his name causing him to look up.

“Hey man, you should get dressed there some girl outside arguing with coach about needing to see you or some shit.” Jordan’s brows furrowed as he set his phone in his locker, he still had his towel wrapped around his waist and nothing more.

“Beverly?” He asked, most his teammates and his coaches knew who his girlfriend was, he doubted it would be Bevie. “Oh shit am I being fucking stalked again.” He groaned as if this had happened more times than he was willing to admit.

“I don’t know.” His teammate breathed. “But she’s hot as fuck. She looks like a porn start I used to be into.” He shrugged. “Fuck I that’s what your stalkers look like send them my way.” Jordan and his teammate laughed as slipped into his sweats that had the Niners logo running down the side, he didn’t bother to put on a shirt though as he slipped down the hall towards the exit of the locker room. He peered out the window in the door that lead from the locker rooms and private rooms made for the players and their families to hang out before and after games, that lead to the back lot where their cars were parked.

He was shocked to see Tigerlily talking to his head coach and a couple security guards, she didn’t’ really look like she was arguing however it also didn’t seem like the coach was going to let her back there. Which he understood, it was usually only for the players spouses and kids. This didn’t stop Jordan from slipping outside and walking over to his coach.

“She’s with me.” He called out to his coach cooly as if it wasn’t a big deal to him, however all he wanted to do was pull her into a kiss right then and there. He gestured for Tiger to follow him with a small motion of his head and instantly the coach and the security guards let her pass. He didn’t’ let his eyes wander, not yet. He didn’t want to take her in until they were alone, he wasn’t sure he’d be able to control himself.

He held the door open for her as they slipped back inside. It was quite between them as he opened the door to one of the private room holding the door open for her and slipping inside after her, he locked the door behind them granting privacy, he knew he had to make it quick because he had to be in the tunnel shortly for them to runout onto the field. He let his eyes run over her, hating the bruises that covered her skin like fresh tattoo ink. He tried not to let his pain for her show on his features. He closed the space between them wasting no time to press his lips against hers, to show her just how much he missed her.
“You okay?” he breathed against her lips, his forehead rested against hers. “If you just say the words, I can take care of all of this.” He urged her, wanting so badly to beat the fuck out of her husband and take her for himself, but he also wasn’t’ going to force her.

The next month and a half were pretty fucking bad. She'd walked home that night, having an urge stronger then her drug cravings to run all the way to Jordan's parent's house and beg him to take her with him to San Fran. She was married and would damage her career, but the thought of going home to Clay after being with Jordan was honestly making her skin crawl. As she got closer to her old home, it was like her feet were encased in cement, every step was a struggle.

Thankfully, she at least had the night to enjoy the incredible way Jordan had been able to make her feel. Clay had been asleep when she'd gotten home, a joint half burnt resting between his fingers. She thanked god for weed as she slipped into a hoodie and sweats and silently climbed into bed with him. The next morning, she woke to him on top of her, choking her with a tight grip around her throat, fury and anger clear in his eyes.

He asked her where the fuck she'd been and she'd quietly told him she'd gone out for a little walk. His eyes had narrowed suspiciously and that was when he'd started stripping her and could see the clear bruises and hickeys on her skin left over from Jordan. He called her a liar and a whore and hit her after every piece of clothing he yanked off her.

The rest of the day was horrible. He alternated between beating her and raping her brutally, making sure to belittle her verbally as well, calling her a slut, telling her she'd never be with Jordan, reminding her of her time doing porn, pointing out that she would fuck up Jordan's life, pretty much every dirty trick he knew to get her feeling worthless, he used.

Once he was done with her, he drove her to the hospital and dropped her off. She spent three days recovering in the hospital, and never once saw Clay or even so much as got a text from him. When she was finally discharged, it was Draco who came and picked her up. He told her that Clay had taken off for L.A without her, leaving her in Gary with no money, still badly injured, and no one but Draco to take care of her.

She was stuck in Gary for another week with Draco terrorizing her until she finally managed to get in touch with Clay and he told her, if she stopped being a whore, he'd pay for her to get a ticket home to him. She hated that her choices were to either stay in Gary with Draco or kiss Clay's ass just to get a flight home, but in the end, she figured Clay was the lesser of two evils.

For the next month or so, things with Clay just kept getting uglier and uglier. She wanted to call Jordan a thousand times, but she couldn't. At first, she hadn't because she didn't want to fuck up his life, like Clay was always saying, torturing her with the idea that she would completely destroy his career and image. Then things started to get even worse with Clay.

His club was losing money rapidly and was on the brink of closing so, in desperation, Clayton started to force his strippers to sleep with some of his clientele to bring in larger lumps of money. He hadn't made her do it at first, and assured her that he'd never sell her that way. Then one morning she'd woken up from a drug induced haze in one of the back rooms of the club, one of Clay's regular clients pulling his clothes on and slipping out the door. Clay was drugging her without her realizing it.

As she sat up, she'd reached for her phone instantly and called Jordan because Clay drugging her and then selling her like a whore was too much. She knew she had to get away from him and she didn't know who else to call. She wasn't even sure he'd care or pick up the phone, but she didn't really need him to care. She just wanted to hear him. Even if he only said "hello", she'd feel a hundred times better. Before the call had finished, however, Clayton had walked in the room, catching her in the act.

The shit hit the fan at that point and he basically imprisoned her for the next couple weeks. He took her phone, kept her locked up in their bedroom when she was home, drove her to work, had one of his bouncers keep his eyes on her at all times while at work. She was essentially his fucking slave and Tiger wanted it to end so badly. She'd put up with way too much from him, but she wouldn't put up with having her freedom completely taken away from her. It was reminding her too much of Draco's abuse from when she was a teen and was pulling up ugly memories she'd worked so hard to forget. She couldn't stand it and she honestly wanted to die every day she woke up.

________

Lily was sitting on a plane, on her way to San Francisco. She wasn't usually one for hiding her body, she loved to display her tattoos and her petite frame, but at the moment, she was wearing a hoodie and long jeans with her hood up and large sunglasses on. She was doing her best to hide the fact that she looked like she'd been hit by a truck.

The night before, Clay had beaten her up pretty badly when he caught her trying to slip out the window. Then he'd made his first mistake in two weeks. He'd tied her wrists to the bed while he went out to get some cigarettes, but he'd been drunk while he'd been tying her up, so the knots weren't as tight as he'd thought. She'd managed to use her teeth to loosen them further and slip out of the bindings. She'd taken a moment to raid his personal safe for money and grab a few belongings before slipping out the same window he'd caught her trying to sneak out of before.

One of the other strippers that hated Clay picked her up down the road and drove her to the airport. Now she was sitting on a plane, biting her nails, knee bouncing nervously because she was on her way to San Francisco to essentially ambush Jordan right before she knew he was going to play. She knew his game schedule by heart.

She'd thought about calling him several times to warn him, but every time she picked up the phone, she froze up and her jaw tightened. The only thing that was probably keeping her moving towards him was the fact that she'd already gotten on the plane, and, once she was in San Fran, she had nowhere else to go but to him. She didn't know anyone else and if she turned around and went back, Clay was likely to kill her.

The taxi drive was agonizing and she didn't want to think of Jordan's face when he saw her. Last time he'd seen Clay's handy work, it had been a bruise across her nose and eyes. This time, she looked bad. Her body was dangerously emaciated, seeing as Clay had had her on a steady diet of morsels and drugs for the past few weeks, she had two new scars running along both her wrists from trying to kill herself at one point, her entire body was covered in ugly bruises, and she was pretty sure she had two broken ribs and a fractured wrist. Her darker blonde hair was growing out, making it obvious that she no longer cared to keep up with the platinum blond, and she was very clearly a nervous wreck, and suffering bad drug withdrawals because Clay had been controlling every hit she got to take lately and, unless he was drugging her to fuck someone, he'd been extremely stingy.

Once she made it to the stadium, her nerves just got worse. She paced back and forth outside for a long time and tried to convince herself to leave. She left and got cigarettes before walking back and pacing around more. She didn't want to cause Jordan trouble, especially not right before his game, however, she kept thinking about the way Clay had beaten her that morning and she was on the verge of completely falling apart right there in the parking lot.

She'd smoked a whole pack of cigarettes by the time she was finally ready to head inside. She found the back entrance, to the locker rooms where she knew Jordan would be. She spent a long time begging various workers and security guards to let her back to see Jordan, or, at the very least, call him out to her. Of course, no one listened to her. It wasn't until she pulled her hood down and took her sunglasses off and they caught sight of her battered face, that someone sighed and said they'd go tell him, but couldn't guarantee he'd come.

It seemed to take forever and she almost walked away before she finally saw him and, instantly, despite her anxiety and misery, her heart leapt and she smiled slightly. Just seeing him seemed to make everything better. It helped that he didn't really look at her too well when he first saw her, that way he wasn't looking at her with pity or contempt the second he laid eyes on her.

He walked her back to one of the private rooms and, once they were alone and the door was locked was when he finally looked at her. He tried to hide it, but she could see the reaction he'd had to seeing her and she looked away, unable to blame him. She looked like a fucking wreck. She was going to speak, lie and say it wasn't that bad before he closed the distance between them and kiss her hard on the lips. Lily let out a soft moan and leaned into his lips. It was like the rest of the world slipped away and there was nothing but his lips.

“You okay?” he breathed against her lips, his forehead resting against hers as he pulled away and she closed her eyes and let out a shaky breath to keep herself from breaking down in front of him. “If you just say the words, I can take care of all of this.” He urged her, and she bit her lip, knowing it wasn't that simple. It wasn't like she could just move in with him and they could get married and be happy for the rest of their lives, and she knew he wanted to get rid of Clay, but she knew that in and of itself wouldn't be as easy as he thought. Clay was a lowlife, but he had some pretty shady friends.

Tiger just took a step back from him, letting out a shaking breath before she grabbed the edges of her hoodie and pulled it off, leaving her standing in her bra and jeans in front of him, every bruise on her body fully exposed for him to see, her ribs and spine showing slightly from the lack of food and excess of drugs. She wasn't sure why she wanted him to see it, when she'd been hiding it all day, but she did. She wanted him to know that she was not okay.

Ty sighed and pulled the hoodie back on then, wincing in pain from the way it forced her to use her injured wrist and ribs. "I can't do it anymore Jordy, he'd going to kill me." She breathed, stepping back into him. She wrapped her arms around him tightly and pressed her cheek against his bare chest, closing her eyes for a moment as she took a deep breath in. She felt better, standing there with him then she had in over a month, but she also wasn't sure what to say or do. She knew she had to admit to her porn career, to warn him that he couldn't openly be seen with her, but she really didn't want to.

"I have to be a secret Jordan." Tiger finally mumbled after a long minute before turning her head back to look up at him. She bit her lip hard. "No one can catch me with you, it'll ruin everything you have going for you and I won't let that happen." She told him, determined not to let him convince her otherwise, even if he wanted to give up his life for her, she couldn't let him. She knew he loved what he did and he would eventually grow to resent her for holding him back. "I did porn for a while a few years ago and my videos are popular enough that, if people see me with you, it'll get out. The media will tear you apart." She admitted to him, hating the words even as she said them. "I don't know what I want, or what I expected coming up here, but I had to get away from him and I didn't know where else to go." She breathed as she started to tremble a little and rested her cheek against his chest again, closing her eyes and letting his heartbeat calm her. She really didn't know where they were supposed to go from there, all she knew was that standing there with him felt amazing and she wished it never had to end.

The next month and a half or so were extremely busy for Cody. He followed Delaney to Seattle, though he hadn't interacted with her at all. He'd been distracted by jobs and Louie was really good at pulling his attention away every time he tried to get in touch with her. He had followed her to Seattle, sure, but he hadn't actually had contact with her since that night in Gary because he was outrageously busy. He had no idea how bad things had gotten between her and her husband, and it wasn't actually until much later that he found out.

Him and Louie spent their time in Seattle working over a young heir to his father's throne. The son of a major music producer, on the brink of inheriting everything. It was his favorite kind of con. The young ones, on the brink of losing their parents but gaining a fortune always seemed to be the easiest targets. They weren't business savvy enough yet to know they were being worked over and they were in vulnerable places, facing the loss of their parents.

It was actually pretty easy, but also complicated. Louie got in with him as the "girlfriend" and he played the role as accountant. They robbed the man blind and, following that con, they quickly pulled off a diamond heist that had him on a bit of a high. He was on a roll, so to speak, and he had no intention of stopping. He'd been so wrapped up in his cons, he'd completely lost track of the weeks or keeping tabs on Lane.

One night, he'd been in the middle of fucking Louie when he got a call from Lane out of nowhere. Louise had been pissed, but he'd gotten out of bed immediately and took the call in the bathroom. That was when he found out what had been going on in her life since the funeral and he felt like complete shit. If he hadn't been so selfish and wrapped up in his own shit, he could have helped her. They talked all night on the phone and she told him about her ex husband she'd gone back to, as well as mentioned Javier again and he couldn't resist the urge to hatch a plan.

He'd been planning on working Javier since she'd mentioned him that night on the roof, he just hadn't quite gotten to it yet. It was dangerous for him to just fly back to Vegas, however, he still had dangerous enemies. So, despite his and Lane's plan, he had to cover his ass first. It took him a while to hire all the right people and "dispose" of the people he needed taken care of. He bought a plane ticket and took off as soon as he was sure his identity wasn't going to be blown and he wasn't going to end up bleeding to death in an alley again because of a bump on the street with the wrong stranger.

Him and Louie checked into the same hotel he knew Laney was living in with her husband and he couldn't help but admire the luxury of the place. Their room was clearly worth the ridiculous amount of money he'd shelled out for it. One of the walls was just a giant window, displaying a breathtaking view of Vegas. He was leaning against it with a glass of whiskey in one hand, looking down at the city below while he waited on Louie. She was in the bedroom getting dressed.

Louie was unique. Most women might hate him for dragging them to Vegas to work over his old flame's boyfriend so he could win her back. Louise, however, had only asked one question. "What do we stand to gain?" She wasn't the attached type. She didn't hold a claim on him, and she didn't care that they'd be seeing and working with Laney. The only thing Louie was loyal to was money. If he somehow became a liability to her at some point, he knew without a shadow of a doubt, she'd leave him in an instant. Their partnership was based on mutual benefit, nothing more.

She came out of the bedroom wearing a black dress with a slit so high in the side, it shouldn't be legal. Her hair was curled and styled in a very sophisticated, and sexy way. She looked like a damn bombshell, like a redheaded Marilyn and he couldn't help but smirk as he took her arm and they slipped out into the hall. She adjusted his suit and tie in the elevator so that they looked picture perfect by the time they hit the casino floor.

It hadn't taken him long to find Lane. She was the most beautiful woman in the room, even more stunning then Louie and it was hard as hell to keep his eyes off her, but he was an expert. He wasn't about to blow a job just by staring at her too much and making James suspicious. Tonight was basically just a pregame. He was going to test James as well as the casino by sitting down and playing a game with him. Louise was in charge of circulating around the casino, mingling and observing everything she could, while his job was to see what kind of opponent James was going to be. He could tell a lot about a mark over a game of poker.

He joined Jame's game, sitting at the table full of billionaires like he totally belonged and, as far as they were concerned, he did. Louie stood behind him with a hand on his shoulder like an obedient trophy wife for a short moment before he pulled her down and kissed her on the cheek, telling her in front of everyone to go "enjoy herself" for a bit, basically telling her to get lost and do her part of the job. She knew these men would respond to it positively. Women were shiny trophies to them, useless for anything other then showing off briefly, then putting back on the shelf. She'd impressed the men for him, it was her turn to work on gathering info about the hotel and casino while he worked on James.

His eyes drifted over Laney. She looked incredible, like a million bucks, and he couldn't believe that she was the same girl he'd met back in Gary, Indiana. He was determined to work James over for more then his money, that was for damn certain. "If I win,
I'll buy you a drink, sweetheart." Cody said to her with a reckless smirk on his lips, knowing he shouldn't speak to her but he figured that was safe enough, seeing as James and Lane were pretending not to know each other at the moment. Not to mention, he wanted to see James react.

The slightest twitch of his eye told him everything he needed to know about James and his "tells." In the end, he swept James entirely under the table. He won a good amount of money from him and learned a good amount too. As the game ended and he had Louie come back over to gather his chips before sending her away again, his eyes went to Lane. "How about that drink?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, smirking.

Delaney couldn’t help but smirk as Cody sat down at the table. She could smell his cologne from where she stood three people between them. He smelled like money and Delaney suddenly wanted him more then she’d ever wanted him. Lane hadn’t ever really been a gold digger, until she’d come back to Vegas a few weeks ago, now all she wanted was money, because it was the one thing she’d always been able to rely on. Lane kept her eyes off of Cody after he sat down, hating the way his lips pressed against Louie’s skin instead of hers, despite him having sent her off after. It should be her on his arm, not Louie.
Her and James pretended not to know each other, but she hadn’t missed the way James’s body tensed next to her when Cody showed up. James wasn’t afraid of losing her to an old man, however it was a different story when the guy was young and tattooed, it was the very same way he’d reacted when she’d sat down in Alex’s tattoo chair. James felt threatened and he very well should, considering Cody was Delaney’s first everything, despite knowing this.

"If I win, I'll buy you a drink, sweetheart." Cody breathed from across the poker table and Lane raised a brow, biting her bottom lip. There was something about their interaction that almost felt as though they were meeting for the first time. This whole plan was right up Delaney’s alley. She was by definition an adrenaline and the idea of sneaking around behind James back and stealing money from the richest men, had her head reeling and her turned on, by the thought alone.

She took a drink from her nearly empty glass of Midori Sour, which had been her drink of choice even when she’d been a teenager. James was pissed as the luck started to turn and Cody was pulling winning hands every time he played. However, he could also tell Cody was intrigued by Cody. The thought crossed Delaney’s mind briefly, if she could turn James and Cody against each other and in the end runaway herself with both their money, the worst part was she knew she could. James played his final hand and lost, he cursed under his breath as he stood up and Louie came back to the table collecting Cody’s chips. James placed his hand on her lower back as Cody approached her, James was speaking to another gentleman, but he instantly turned his attention to Cody as he spoke.

"How about that drink?" He asked with a raised brow, his ever-charming smirk on his lips. Delaney could feel James’s fingertips dig into her skin through the fabric of her dress and she was about to politely refuse Cody’s offer, in true Delaney Burrow style. She didn’t get the chance thought as James leaned, his lips grazing her ear reminding her who she belonged to.
“Take the offer, don’t fuck him. Find out who he is.” He whispered so quietly that Lane really had to pay attention to his words. He gave Cody a small nod as if Lane was merely a girl he’d met at the beginning of the game and he had real no claim on her, of course Cody already knew the truth, but Lane played into it. She wanted to be alone with Cody, even though it was a terrible idea, mostly because they would either end up pissed off at each other or doing exactly what James had told her not to, they’d fuck. It was hard to tell thought, especially when Delaney was coked up like she was at the moment. James promptly left with a man who looked like his entire wardrobe was worth more than the entire hotel.

“Shall we.” Lane breathed with a wicked smirk as her and Cody started towards the bar, making sure they were out of ear shot of everyone they were entangled with before she spoke. “I thought this was just supposed to be a you and I thing?” Delaney breath, clearly irritated with the fact that he’d brought Louie. She climbed up onto the barstool and the bartender greeted her by James’s last name, Mrs. Montey, clearly, they still thought she was married to James. He asked her if she wanted to start a tab on James’s card and she simply nodded with a forced smile before her pale blue eyes seemed darker as they glanced back to Cody. “You can’t trust me to help you get the job done?” She accused, she was blunter when Alex wasn’t around and when she had an endless supply of coke. James was too week to Laney to actually put her in her place and Alex had been too intense. They’d been opposite ends of the spectrum and now. Lane was somehow more devious, like being with Alex had just caused the bitch in her to build up, to a dangerous point. Her tone sharp and annoyed as she continued. “Haven’t you heard,” she breathed as the bartender set her drink in front of her asking Cody what he wanted. Cody gave his order before Delaney continued. “Three is a fucking crowed. It’s her or me Cody, baby.” She breathed in a manipulative seductive manor. He tone spoke volumes, there was something hidden in her voice that she knew few could read, her words were an ultimatum telling Cody if he chose Louie over her, he’d regret it.

Jordan knew he couldn’t get distracted. He had to keep his head level. However, when Tiger took a step back and pulled her hoodie off of her, Jordan almost threw in the towel and booked the very next flight to Los Angles. The thing about Jordan was he had a dangerous temper, that his manager and his team were far too good at covering up. People thought they knew the real Jordan, they were convinced that he was just a little too arrogant and a little too aggressive, they made the excuse for him that he had every right to be. Jordan though given the right circumstances, under the right influences could be utterly deadly. He’d been arrested a countless number of fights, for starting them and finishing them. This knowledge though was well hidden, his PR team would pay out hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay off media outlets and tabloids, to get them to keep quiet about the things they didn’t’ want getting out about Jordan.

The bruises that covered her body fueled a rage in him and he made a mental note to call up one of his buddies who was an avidly occupied prison. The way her body looked under nourished only feed his anger. It was all he could do to keep himself from leaving the locker room right then and there. If anything, this just gave him a reason to play angry and win. She pulled the hoodie back on over her badly bruised body and he hadn’t missed the way she’d winced. She was clearly in way more pain then she was letting on.

"I can't do it anymore Jordy, he'd going to kill me." She breathed, closing the distance between them once more. Lily wrapped her arms around his waist tightly and his jaw clenched, he wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer as he rested his chin on top of her head, trying to figure out what the fuck he was going to do about her husband. The first person that came to his mind was Romeo. She pressed her cheek against his chest and it set his body on fire. He didn’t know how she didn’t’ it too him, but all she had to do was touch him and he’d give her the fucking world. "I have to be a secret Jordan. No one can catch me with you, it'll ruin everything you have going for you and I won't let that happen." She breathed and he sighed, glad she wanted to stay but hating that she thought she had to hide herself from the world. "I did porn for a while a few years ago and my videos are popular enough that, if people see me with you, it'll get out. The media will tear you apart." She admitted and he could tell she regretted it, he already knew this about her though and he still loved her. "I don't know what I want, or what I expected coming up here, but I had to get away from him and I didn't know where else to go." She breathed and he let out another soft sigh. If he could get away with it, he’d stay there and hold her forever.

There was a pounding on the door. “Noble, you’ve got press in ten lets fucking go.” Danny’s voice was clearly irritated on the other side of the door. She was his manager and he had to hand it to the girl she put up with a lot of his shit. She was the only girl on the face of this planet that he hadn’t been able to talk out of her clothes, they were more on a brother sister level and he didn’t’ mind that.

He pulled away from Tiger holding her eyes. “I don’t about your past.” He breathed honestly. “You and Cody, your mistakes, your husband.” He breathed. “That shit doesn’t matter, I’m going to take care of you.” He breathed with conviction, wanting her to know from here on out she was his and he’d make sure to take care of her. “We’re going to figure this out, but you need to trust me.” He said seriously holding her eyes, before he pressed his lips against hers. There was another pounding on the door forcing him to pull away. “Fuck, I’m coming Danny!” He spat. “Stay here.” He breather before slipping out the door.

He’d filled Danny in on Tiger’s situation, leaving out unnecessary details. Danny was only the slightest bit annoyed, but inevitably she agreed to do exactly what Jordan needed her too. He’d told her to get the teams doctor to look at Tiger and take care of her. He’d told her to keep a close eye on Tiger and get her whatever she wanted and Danny had agreed. She was tough as hell, but she had a soft spot for abusive victims. On a night she’d been wasted, she’d showed up to Jordan’s house and poured out her whole life story. Her father and three of her boyfriends had been brutally abusive towards her. Now she just refused to date.
Before he’d slipped out of the locker room he’d sent a quick text to Romeo, one of his good friends, he’d fortunately met on one of his jail visits. Jordan payed him off to get his hands dirty for him. He was in a sense Jordan’s personal body guard and henchman. He’d told him to meet him at his Presidio Heights house. Jordan had two houses in San Francisco, the Presidio Heights house was located in one of the richest neighborhoods in San Fran and not even Bevie knew he owned the house. It was where he went when he wanted to get away from everyone and forget for a moment he was who he was.
_________

Once the game was over he couldn’t get off the field fast enough and back to Tiger. He saved Ty from Danny. She was sweet, but sometimes her stories just went on and on. He escorted Tiger out to the player’s parking lot where his silver Jaguar shimmered in the moonlight, it almost looked fake. The car started before they’d even gotten into and Jordan held the door open for her, shutting it behind her. He could drive the streets of San Fran with his eyes closed as they sped down the streets, faster than he should be. They’d passed a couple cops and Jordan had simply waved them off as if he was another cop. It was clear that he owned the city.

They slowed down as they approached a wealthy neighborhood and he pulled into the drive way of a multi-million dollar black and white house. He cut the engine and stepped out from inside the house, Romeo approached, they reached out shaking hand, before they pulled each other in for a hug. It was clear they were close.

Jordan glanced to Tiger, tossing her his car keys. “The house key is the square silver one.” He told her. “Why don’t you go get cleaned up, there should be some clothes in the kitchen for you.” He said, he’d had Romeo go out and buy a few things for Tiger.

A rapid pounding on the door and a curt reminder from his manager that Jordan had to get going made Tiger's heart leap slightly in her chest. She knew he had to get going, but she really wish he didn't. She just wanted him to hold her forever because somehow, his arms wrapped around her firmly but gently, seemed to fix all her problems. She knew Clay was still out there and he likely knew where she'd gone and would want her back, but it didn't matter when she was it Jordan's arms. Jordan made her feel completely safe, the same way he had when they were kids and she'd go to his house to escape her brother. It was a feeling she hadn't had in a very long time.

He pulled back slightly to hold her eyes and Tiger looked up at him. Despite what she'd just told him, there was nothing in his eyes but concern and that alone almost brought tears to her eyes. She loved him so much, and always had and she knew being with him wasn't exactly going to be a fantasy because she had a tendency to wreck her own dreams, but she couldn't even imagine going back to Clay, not anymore. “I don’t care about your past. You and Cody, your mistakes, your husband.” He breathed and she bit the corner of her lip hard, honestly on the verge of tears. She'd made so many mistakes, and Clay had always used them against her to put her down and keep her trapped, but Jordan was telling her that none of it mattered. It was almost impossible to believe.

“That shit doesn’t matter, I’m going to take care of you.” He breathed with so much conviction, she couldn't help but believe him and a tear actually fell from her eye despite herself. She wanted nothing more than to let him take care of her. To be his for the rest of her life. “We’re going to figure this out, but you need to trust me.” He said and she let out a shaky breath and nodded softly. She wasn't a very trusting person, it wasn't easy for her to do, given her history, but Jordan and Delaney had always been exceptions to the rule.

He kissed her and she kissed back with a soft moan, loving the way his lips completely stole her breath away and made all the pain in her body evaporate instantly. She never wanted him to stop, but eventually, there was another knock at the door and he yelled at his manager that he was coming and told her to stay there. She wished she could beg him not to go, but she knew that wasn't an option in the slightest. He loved his job and he'd worked hard for it. She was never going to come between him and it, she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if he lost his career because of her.

Jordan left the room then, leaving her alone and she took a shaking breath, trying to pull herself together. She wasn't used to being weak and vulnerable. She was usually tough as nails, unfeeling, and cold, no matter the situation, but Clay had been tearing her down horribly recently and Jordan always seemed to be able to break through her walls.

After a few minutes, a pretty girl with a clipboard and a headset came in, introducing herself as Danny, Jordan's manager. She was almost unbearably sweet, but Tiger didn't mind the girl, and was actually glad for her help. She didn't ask her any hard questions, which Ty was more than grateful for, just took her to the team's doctor and didn't even stare when Lily once again pulled her hoodie off, revealing the battered and emaciated upper half of her body. The doctor was gentle and didn't ask any questions either, just took a few x-rays, gave her some fluids, and took care of her injuries.

Her ribs weren't broken, just horribly bruised, and her wrist was badly sprained, so he wrapped it up for her, and gave her some pain pills, which she was more then happy to take, he also had to sew a few stitches into her eyebrow to close up a gash from one of Clay's punches. Afterwards, Danny took her to the stadium's VIP bar to watch the game and get some food in her. It felt good, eating an actual meal for the first time in weeks that wasn't just scraps or laced with drugs to make her compliant. She had half a burger, and a few beers before Danny brought her back to the private rooms where they'd been before and Lily spent some time getting a much needed nap.

_________

Finally, after what felt like way too long, Jordan came back and Danny woke her gently. She slipped her hand in Jordan's and followed him out to where his car was parked, smirking when she saw it. She'd always had a thing for fast cars, but she'd basically been scraping pennies together her entire life, so she'd only actually gotten to ride in a handful of expensive cars like Jordan's.

He drove fast and she rolled down the window, hanging her arm out, loving every second of the ride. She glanced over at Jordan every few minutes, a smile coming to her lips every time. For the first time since the night of Shannon's funeral, she was genuinely happy because she was with Jordan again, he'd promised to take care of her, and things were looking good. She knew there was likely to be a lot of ugliness coming in her future, but she didn't care at the moment.

They finally reached a neighborhood that nearly made her jaw drop, and when he pulled up to his house, she had to actually bite back the gasp that nearly slipped out. It was by far the most beautiful home she had ever seen. He was living in a luxury, she'd only ever been able to dream about, it was insane. The best money she'd ever made in her life had been doing porn, but that money had been tainted with a lot of guilt, and once she'd started at the club working for Clay, all her money had gone to him. Clay was a terrible business man so, no matter how much the strippers seemed to be pulling for the club, the place always seemed on the verge of collapse and they'd never lived in luxury. Their apartment wasn't a shithole, but it was modest and fairly undecorated. Jordan's house made hers look like a hole in the wall. She almost felt like she wasn't worthy to walk inside.

She got out of the car with Jordan, raising a brow as a rather imposing looking man approached and Jordan greeted him gladly. Jordan tossed her his car keys then and she caught them with ease. “The house key is the square silver one.” He told her and she glanced up at the beautiful home in front of her, trying to wrap her head around the fact that she would be living there now. “Why don’t you go get cleaned up, there should be some clothes in the kitchen for you.” He said, and she nodded.

"Thank you." She breathed softly, before Ty leaned up on her toes and gave Jordan a short kiss on the lips. The kiss was small, but still made her lips tingle and it was all she could do not to pull him inside with her and show him just how thankful she was, but his friend being right there made her control herself. She pulled back after a second and slipped inside.

The house was even more impressive inside than it was outside, every room designed meticulously and beautifully. She grabbed the clothes Jordan had mentioned from the classy, stark white kitchen before slipping upstairs to the master bedroom. She sighed and sat on the edge of the bed for a moment, trying to imagine herself living a life where everything she could ever want would be at her fingertips. It was almost making her head spin.

She slipped into the bathroom after a moment and started the shower, before pulling her clothes off, wincing at the sight of herself in the mirror. From head to toe, she was covered in bruises and injuries from Clay and his shitty clients, and for a moment, thinking of Clay scared her. She knew Jordan had a lot more money and resources then Clay to keep her safe, but she couldn't help but be afraid that Clay would find her eventually and steal her back. Tiger sighed, forcing herself to put the thought out of her mind before stepping into the hot shower, letting the nearly scalding water wash Clay from her skin and the tension from her body.

James was clearly controlling her, even though it was subtle to everyone else, it was obvious to him. He watched as James whispered something to him and he just smirked, knowing already, without even hearing it, what James wanted her to do. He was trying to get some information on the rich hotshot who'd just swept him under the table. He'd no doubt have his eye on her from across the casino the entire time, however, making it difficult for Cody to really get her alone.

He knew what he was doing though. It wouldn't be so hard as James seemed to think. James gave him a simple nod then, as if nothing had just happened between them before leaving them "alone" and Jordan just grinned wickedly. “Shall we.” Lane breathed with a wicked smirk on her perfect lips that drove him nuts. It was like the way Louie looked at him when she knew they were winning, but even better because it was Lane. He'd never have even thought he'd see her again after she'd run away from home, let alone be working with her on one of his largest heists yet. It was thrilling to say the least, and honestly turned him on to see Lane that way.

She lead him to the bar and he sat next to her. “I thought this was just supposed to be a you and I thing?” Delaney breathed, sounding pissed and his eyes went to Louie across the room who happened to look up at him at the same time and smirk slightly, meaning she was doing her job successfully, getting good information about the casino for him. He couldn't help but love the darkness and jealousy in Laney's eyes as he turned his gaze back to her. Laney had always been a little back and forth when it came to her feelings for him, so he kind of liked that Louie made her so blatantly jealous.

“You can’t trust me to help you get the job done?” She accused, sounding much sharper and more threatening than she had back on that night of Shannon's funeral. Her new lifestyle had changed her, made her a little more like him and he didn't blame her. Money and freedom did things to you, went to your head in ways you didn't even realize. “Haven’t you heard,” she breathed as the bartender placed her drink in front of her and asked him what he wanted. He ordered some top shelf whiskey neat before returning his eyes to hers. “Three is a fucking crowd. It’s her or me Cody, baby.” She breathed, presenting him with an ultimatum, irritating him a little that she thought she could do that.

Lane had pulled off cons with James, sure, but cheating at poker was much different then what they were getting ready to do. She had no idea what level of crime she was about to get herself into, no matter how much she thought she did. He knew she could handle it, and would be good at it, but she still didn't fully understand. He just pushed his irritation back and shrugged. He took a sip calmly from his drink and glanced up at Louie once more, his eyes flicking purposefully from hers to James and she got the signal with a smile on her lips, starting to move across the casino towards James.

"You might not like it princess, but Louie's important." He told her, his eyes returning back to Laney. "She's capable of playing a lot of roles and has more experience than you in this kind of game. We need her." He shrugged casually and honestly. His eyes went to Louie again briefly, who was now talking to James, distracting him. No man, no matter how faithful, could resist, at the very least, a conversation with Louie. Even without being openly seductive, she knew how to capture attention better then anyone he'd ever met.

Cody didn't waste time. He took the opportunity Louie had given them an grabbed Lane's wrist, pulling her away from the bar and right towards the elevator. Once in the elevator, he waited for it to move up a few floors before hitting the stop button and, faster than she could process, pushing Lane against the wall. His eyes on hers were dark and serious. "We're pulling off two, very tricky jobs here princess." He breathed, wanting her to realize the truth in what he was saying so she could get over her jealousy. The last thing he needed was Lane's contempt for Louie fucking things up for him.

"If you think two people can do that on their own, you're insane. It's going to take a team, I'm going to have to hire more partners, and pay off a multitude of people, and Louie is too skilled to be replaced. It's not happening." He spat seriously before slamming his lips against hers, pushing her body harder against the wall of the elevator. Fuck, she tasted so good. "If you do exactly what I say, we'll all get what we want, but you're not in control here. I am, and if I can't trust you, this is over." He threatened in her ear, letting her know the second he thought her bitterness was getting the best of her, he'd pull the plug and leave. He'd done it before and, even though the thought of ditching Laney was torturous, he also wasn't going to let her pull one over on him.
