-- Fidgeting: she picks at
her lips and nail beds when sitting idle too long
-- Avoids direct Touch: having
a minor gift for empathy means that she can feel things through
touch. She tends to avoid touching others without permission.
For herself and out of respect for others.

-- Psychometrist: Ever since Stella was a
child, she's had a gift for psychometry. That is to say, she can see the
past whenever she touches an object. Its a gift as well as a curse.
-- Empathy: Stella has a minor gift
for empathy. Meaning, when she touches someone, she feels what
they feel. Whatever they feel. It's why she avoids touching people.
-- Sewing: Because of her history
with clothes shopping, Stella has taken it upon herself to make her
own clothes. With used clothes, she always saw the previous owner.
With new clothes... sometimes she saw nothing. Sometimes she saw
the sweatshops they were made in. And, as you can imagine, that
made her never want to shop for clothing again.
-- Singing: Her mother used to
sing her to sleep. Stella picked up the song as she got older.
As she continued to sing, she improved, to the point where
she's incredibly talented at it. She could move even the most
stony of hearts with her song.

-- Abadonment as a result of her gift:
Its happened before and she knows it'll happen again.
She tries to fight the doubt in her mind because always
fearing for it will make her nuts, but it's there all the same.
-- Venom: Anything
potentially venomous freaks her out. Spiders,
Snakes, Scorpions, you name it.
She never knows if they're harmless or if they
could kill her so she steers clear all the same.

-- Art: While Stella is an
excellent singer, she's an terrible artist. Her birds look like
blobs, her flowers look like blobs, and her people? You
guessed it. Blobs.
-- Talking to the dead: unlike
a few of her fellow ladies of the house, she cannot
communicate with the dead what so ever. She's alright
with it, but it can hinder her quite a bit when it comes
to jobs.
-- Fights: Stella likes to
make sure everyone is happy. When it comes to a physical
or verbal fight, she'd rather yield. Unless it's something
that's really important to her, she tends to allow herself
to be walked all over.
Stella has always been a very positive person. Her mother always called her the light of her life. Not just because she was her daughter, but because she had such a bright, happy, and uplifting personality. She's the type of person who is there for you no matter what. She will do anything to help you smile if you're feeling sad. There is always a smile on her face.
With her positivity there comes some confidence, but often times that confidence exceeds the... appropriate levels. She believes that she can do things she can't. Sliding down the banister, jumping over a stream, giving a terrible gift... she does them all with confidence. And more often than not, she doesn't succeed. However, she's enough of an optimist that she doesn't let it get to her.
She's supportive of pretty much everyone as long as they're doing good things. She's supportive of her friends the most. Sometimes... even when they're doing something they probably shouldn't. Nothing that will hurt others, and nothing that will really hurt themselves. Just... whatever makes them happy. She's also selfless. She'll do anything for the people she cares about.
For a very long time, Stella had a slight gift for empathy in the extreme sense. Being around people don't bring up her empathy. Just her sympathy. However, when she touches someone, that's when she begins to empathize. Because of this gift, she tends to avoid physical touch.
Stella is... clumsy and uncoordinated. So most dance moves and instruments are out. She still loves to listen and dance. She also... drops things. Often so her being a waitress or anything with balance is probably also a no go for her.
Stella Annamaria Ambrose was born Stella Annamaria Parsons-Grant to Juliette Parsons and Carson Grant. Her parents were high schoolers who had conceived her after some post-prom "fun". Her mother worked hard to finished high school even while pregnant and her father didn't much care for her existence. His parents and whatever devotion he felt for Juliette kept him involved in her life up until the age of two. The pregnancy was difficult for her mother, but Juliette was still over-joyed as she received her baby girl into her arms. She had wanted to keep the child from the beginning. She knew the life of a young mother was a difficult one, especially when her parents found out and kicked her out of their house, but she was excited by the idea of being a mother. Life after pregnancy was difficult, but not because she was a mother. But because Stella's father was an abusive prick. Any time Stella cried, he'd hit Juliette, telling her to take care of "the thing" because he was tired of the noise and was trying to sleep. (At this time, they were living in an apartment paid for by Carson's parents.)
At first, Juliette just took the beatings, knowing that fighting back would only make them worse. It was only when Stella was old enough to move about and talk on her own that the violence started to turn on her. That's when Juliette took a stand. He could hit on her all he wanted, but he wasn't going to lay a finger on her baby girl. She packed whatever she could grab as well as an emergency fund she had been saving, taped to the top of her bedside table drawer space, took Stella, and left. She left a letter at the doorstep of Carson's parent's home explaining the situation and telling them how thankful she was for their support when her parents had given none. They vanished, roaming the country in a car Juliette had bought with her savings. She changed Stella's last name, unwilling to change the beautiful name she was given at birth. She changed her full name. Instead of Juliette Parsons, she became Julie Ambrose.
Stella grew up on the road. Learning through her mother, and then online homeschooling, her education was taken care of. At first, she didn't mind their constant moving. All she needed was her mother, their car, and a camera. However, when she got older, she started to miss whatever friends she had made. She started acting out, hoping being caught by the law would keep them from leaving. She even had sex and lied to her mother about being pregnant hoping it would keep them near the people she had come to care for. (Though her partner at the time was a female so pregnancy was highly unlikely.) This frightened her mother who finally sat her down and told her the story of how they ended up on the road in the first place. Understanding coursed through Stella and she told her mother the truth. Ever since their conversation, she had stopped complaining. She knew it had taken a lot for her mother to leave and they constantly move to keep up their running for two reasons: because Juliette couldn't afford to keep them in one place very long (she couldn't hold down a job) and... to keep Stella's abilities from making her a target for bigots.
Stella had developed her abilities at the age of six, but never fully understood what was happening to her until she was a little older. She thought the images she saw, the things she felt, were her imagination. After doing some research and talking to people in different towns who knew a thing or two about psychics, they started to understand things. When they passed through Ashwood when Stella was eighteen, she felt this odd... pull there. After they left, she'd dream of the place. She'd yearn for the smell of the woods. She needed to return. Eventually, her mother consented saying she would visit as much as she could.
Stella has been at the house for nearly two years and writes to her mother every day. All the photos they've taken over the years, she keeps in a scrapbook in her bedroom. Some of them give her flashes because of their importance.
