Drift Away - MacKensie Prosser || Tomorrow Will Be Kinder - The Secret Sisters || Blown Away - Carrie Underwood || Stand in the Rain - Superchick.

Image
Name: Dominika Galine Orlov
Nickname: Nika; is the name she often introduces herself as. She prefers to be called Nika over her full name, but sometimes for proper measures she'll state her full name first.
Mini; Is a nickname that was only ever okay by her deceased grandmother. If you call her that, be prepared to get punched.
Age: Sixteen years of age.
Gender: Female.
Parent: Zeus, the god of the sky and ruler of the gods. "He makes himself sound better than he is, lets be real. He's the god of whores."
Birthdate: July 1st.; Cancer ♋
Ethnicity: Russian.
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Image

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 118 lbs
Eye colour: Icy blue.
Hair colour: Dirty blonde/Blonde.
Appearance: Dominika already stands at quite a tall height for a female. She has long blonde hair, and she has a tiny frame. Nika's style changes a bit. It really depends on the mood that she's in that day. Usually she does prefer to wear things with floral patterns on them and dresses, but other times she needs those days where she just needs to wear pants and lounge around.
Oddities: Dominika has a thick Russian accent, but is still quite easy to understand when she speaks.

Image
ImageImage

Personality: Introverted || Independent || Graceful || Arrogant || Kind

Dominika is one of those demigods that happens to take after a bit of her godly parent in terms of personality. Thriving in the leadership role, she will be the sense of direction and guide people onto the right path. Nika is quite independent and introverted, but despite the fact; she knows how to communicate and she knows how to lead a pack and she does it well.

Thinking fast is one of Nika’s virtues, as she is able to look at a situation and make a fire shot decision and do it well. Nika also gained a good militaristic air about her from her father. Her ability to think quickly on her feet and come up with a solid idea in battle comes from her father. She takes honour in proper battle and she rather not fight dirty, but her ideals of fighting dirty may vary from person to person.

Charming smirks and boasting comments are also a Zeus trait. This could otherwise be known as arrogance. Nika is very quick to bring herself up as best as she can, only talking about the good things she has done and how wonderful she is. Some can find it annoying and others will find it annoying or charming. If you were to ask her what she thought was her best trait she would likely respond with everything.

Growing up with her mother she has gained a trait or two from her. Which would be her poise, grace, and elegance. Nika has always been graceful in what she did and having a mother who is a dance instructor she had been in ballet since she was the age of three and a half, which had taught her proper posture and such grace while moving around. In these traits it is also perceived that Nika is rather aloof in terms of other people.
Are you right- or left-handed? "I am left handed, it sucks. Ink gets all over your hands."

Powers: Electric pulse: She can create little mini pulses of electricity that can either be used to mark a path or it will be used to help light up her way.
Rumbling Thunder: Much like her father when she is angry thunder will rumble. For Nika it will only do that when clouds are already out.
Shock wave: She can make mini shock waves for pranks, such as going to shake someone's hand and shocking them at the same time. She can make small little shock waves, and sometimes then can travel a bit. You don’t want to stand too close when they happen.
Wind Manipulation:
Levitation: Nika is able to use the gusts of wind to lift her body up and she is able to fly around. She can go up to about six feet. If she does it to the extent she can end up getting massive headaches and end up being really fatigued.
Swift feet: During battle Nika is an agility based fighter. She is quick and it is what gives her an edge as she doesn’t have very brutal offensive attacks. Swift feet allows a wind gust to flow a small few centimeters below her feet allowing herself to glide and move fast.
Thunder Calling: She is able to summon a bolt of lightning per a thread and it is able to hit three monsters.
Tornado: She can summon an EF-2 tornado that will go up to the speed of 200 km/h.
Strengths: Despite appearing to be more of a defensive fighter, Nika is actually a much more powerful offensive attacker. Nika may not have powerful powers but she has quite a bit of strength behind her and she could likely kick a lot of butts given she gets a bit more training put in. She is also quite the tactics sort of girl. She loves planning out strategies and with her quick witted brain she can think of something on the go, and battle transformations are quite up her alley.
Weaknesses: Dominika does have multiple weaknesses although it may appear not to be so with how well she displays herself. Nika’s fatal weakness would be very close range in battle. She ends up going into panic mode and very close combat is where she gets a bit worried. Nika has a better chance with a bit of distance between her and her opponent. Nika also has a weakness in the sense if you start physically grabbing her for physical combat, she’s lost the game big time. Nika can’t handle any form of human contact and due to her huge fear of it the moment her opponent grabs her arm her limbs grow loose and weak and there’s not much strength left in her. Makes it difficult in battle, and that’s why she hates close combat.

Image

Hobbies: Dancing, ice dancing, ice skating, and writing.
Habits: She is constantly putting her hair up. It's a big habit of hers.
Likes: Dancing, ice skating, writing, the colour blue, pancakes, maple syrup, and snow.
Dislikes: Her father, being a demigod, not having the feeling of a home, her mother, feeling helpless, people touching her, and loud people.
Goals: To compete in the olympics for ice dancing.
Fears: Nika is terrified of rejection. Ever since she was little and didn’t grow up with a father she felt neglected for the longest time. She has pent up angst about it and can’t really let it go, she has other reasons for her fear of rejection as well but needless to say she doesn’t accept him being a god as an excuse and so she also doesn’t trust easily.

Birth Place: New York, America.
History: Back before Nika was even thought of, her mother Anya was a beautiful Russian woman who was passionate about dancing and loved the art of it. It had always been her dream to compete in dancing competitions and make it big with her dancing. Anya was cut short by her father who told her she couldn’t dance and wasn’t allowed to dance. That was when Anya was sent away to boarding school for academics and was trained to be in a better profession. It was when Anya was in military training when her father had died and she completed her training for the military to follow through. Afterwards she was able to go out and do her own thing without her father telling her no.

That was when Anya had gotten back into dancing and she began to compete. She did many local competitions that got her into higher levels until finally she was invited to compete in America. When she was in America competing for the win she had spent some of her down time with an attractive young man who she had talked to and flirted with for quite a bit. They ended up sleeping together and creating a little bundle of joy who would be later known as Dominika.

After becoming runner up in the competition, Anya decided to stay in America for awhile and she got to travel around a bit and meet new people. She stayed in contact with her lovely attractive man for awhile but she never told him she was pregnant. Anya didn’t really show until she was about five months pregnant. Once she did start to show he backed away and slowly faded from her life. Anya had grown a bit upset but she was tough and didn’t need to depend on him.

After giving birth to Dominika in the hospital in America it was about the same time that her visa ran out and so she had to go back home to Russia. In Russia Dominika got to meet her grandmother who had often helped out with the raising of her. Every week-day from seven in the morning to seven at night Dominika was home with her grandmother and they would do a lot of fun things such as bake, read stories, paint, dance, and go play in the snow.

Things were great for Nika until she was about the age of seven and understood more about having parents and realized she didn’t have a father. It hurt her not to have one and she could never understand why he wasn’t around. She often jumped to conclusions often asking if it had been about her and if it had, why didn’t he want her?

At the age of eight things took an even darker turn. Her mother got a new boyfriend. This lasted for about two years before they hastily got married when she was the age of ten. Nika was happy to have a father but at the same time it wasn’t the father that she needed nor wanted.

Developing at an early age, her new father was quite attracted to it. He was now taking place of Nika’s grandmother and watching her while her mother was at work. Eventually some things led to another and her new dad grew rather fond of her and he basically took her innocence away from her and that left her with even more trust issues than before and unable to feel safe in her home. Nika was terrified of men from that point on or really anyone getting physically close to her.

At the age of thirteen Nika signed up for a program she paid in full for an exchanging of two people. One from Russia and one from Greece. Nika ended up going to Greece for the exchange program for half a year, and during the half of year, Nika was founded by the academy and they helped her set up for classes. They transferred her school information over and called her parents and talked to them about it. They hesitantly agreed to let her stay at the academy and she has been there ever since.
Family Ties: Grandmama - Deceased: Nika was very close with her grandmother. They did lots together and she basically raised her. Nika misses her terribly.
Anya Orlov - Mother: Nika hates her mother. Her mother didn't believe her when she told her about what happened. Her mother was a stupid excuse for one. She was never there to really raise her.
Pavel - Step monster: Nika sees him as the most vial and cruel out of any one out there. She will never forgive him, and she will never let him touch her again. She'll murder him before then.

Blood On My Name
Image
The tower stands as tall as any man made construct, it looms over the island of Aeaea, keeping a watchful eye over the island, and standing as a reminder of the Gods presence to the Demigods that take residence on it's shores, and within it's walls no mortal, human or otherwise, has stepped foot inside of it. At the top of the tower, in it's highest inner sanctum rests the Chamber of Council, a meeting place for the Gods to discuss the state of affairs, and other topics that they deem worthy of their time.

In the Chamber of Council, on the first day of the fall semester for the academy, and the day where most of it's students are returning from summer break, on this day Zeus has called forth a meeting. The inside of the chamber is a large, open clear sky with no sighs of a door, or any sighs that it is in fact a room. "I have gathered you all here today to discuss a disturbing vision Apollo has had. Apollo if you will." Zeus stated, his voice being thunderous, and commanding, as one would expect the king of the Gods to sound.

"Right, thank you for such a stellar introduction." Apollo smirked, but was responded by an annoyed groan by Zeus before he returned to the topic at hand. "Well lads, and lasses, I've recently had a vision that I feel like I should share with the group. You know, as the humans say sharing is caring." "Get to the point idiota!" Ares snarled at him, which was followed by a chuckle by Hermes. Zeus shoot a quick glare at both of them that caused them to shut right up. "Anyways, my vision is about the academy, and I believe that it will come to pass soon."

"I saw blood, a river of it. An invasion of Minotaurs, and iron birds. The sky shattering to pieces, and the tower here crumbling."
Apollo explained. "What bothers me the most is that it was.....hazy, unclear. It reminded me...." Before Apollo finished his sentence he looked over at Zeus, as if asking him permission to go forward. Zeus gave him a nod to proceed. "It reminds me of the fall of Olympus....it's....as jumbled, and foggy as it was. It was too late when I got my vision about Olympus, I fear it might be too late for Aeaea."

"Minotaurs? That's impossible! They were killed off, me and Artemis made sure of that." Ares stated as he pointed over to Artemis, who merely grunted in agreeance. "And as always Ares you entirely missed the point." Athena chimed in. "This is troublesome. This is obviously related. The question is how. How can these events be related if they are millennia apart?" Athena pondered as she rubbed her chin. "I have been saying it for decades, we need to shore up our defenses! Increase patrols, personal, better weaponry, and equipment!" Ares stated. "If it was up to you dear brother this entire island would become a military compound rather than a place of learning."

"And would that be a bad thing? What are we preparing them for if not to fight in our name?" Artemis chimed in. "War is not something that a civilized people work towards." Athena stated in her ever present cold manner. "Pfft, war is the law of nature. Survival of the fittest, the weak will be rooted out in it's embrace." Ares growled. Before another word could be said shadows suddenly appeared within the center of the room, forming into a doorway that Hades stepped out of.

"Well I hope I didn't miss anything too interesting." Hades said as he took off his red tinted sunglasses, and placed it in his overcoat's pocket. "Nice of you to finally join us brother." Poseidon said in an annoyed tone. "Well you know me little brother, always have to make an entrance." He smirked. "We were discussing a vision I had, about the destruction of the academy, and the island." Apollo stated, bringing him up to speed. "Oh, well that does sound like it may be a problem. Let me know how it turns out for you. I have my own dealings to take care of, the Underworld doesn't run itself you know."

"We must prepare ourselves. Ares, you are correct, we must shore up our defenses. You are also correct Athena, we can not turn this island into a military base, we must not tip off those that work against us that we know something." Zeus ordered as he finally spoke again after taking in everything. "Ares, Hephaestus you two will enhance our defenses, and prepare our security forces for anything that may happen. Artemis, Athena I want you two to help Apollo make sense of his visions. As for the rest of you it shall be business as usual. Keep a watchful eye out for anything that may be out of the ordinary. That is all, you are dismissed."

"Boom! There goes your head!" "No fair, you always know where the rocket launchers spawn! Cheater!" "I'm sorry you suck so bad." This type of talk went on between a young Jensen, and his little brother Nolan as they played a video game. "So where do you want to lose at next? Beaver Creek?" Jensen then looked over at his brother. Nolan was leaning against the wall in the far back, with a large chunk of his shirt burnt off, and a large burn on his chest. Jensen, on instinct, rushed to his brother's side, who was shaking, and gasping for air.

"Nolan!" Jensen shouted as he got over to his brother. He lightly slapped Nolan on his face, and tried shaking him to wake him up. Then Nolan just completely turned into ash. Jensen stood there in shock as the remains of his brother slipped through his fingers. The surroundings then changed around Jensen, now being in a cemetery, and standing over a grave marked with Nolan's name. Jensen looked down, and at the other graves lined up in the row. The names were familiar. Amanda Cartwright, Isaac Herbert, Grayson Foster, Keo Kealoha, Kai Kealoha, and the list goes on. All people he goes to school with.

Jensen stared at the names, especially Amanda's as he began hyperventilating. Panic then began to set in as he stepped away from the graves. Jensen bumped into something, stopping him from moving backwards. He turned around to see it was Zeus towering over him. "It's only a matter of time Jensen. It's only a matter of time before you destroy everything." Zeus said as he pushed Jensen forward. "Like....You....Always....Do." Zeus said as he poked Jensen in the chest with each word. Jensen then fell back into a open grave, seemingly falling for miles.

Jensen's eyes shot open as he awoke in his bed. He ran his hand down his face, and looked over beside him to see Amanda still asleep. Jensen looked over at his clock on his nightstand, it was nearly seven o'clock now. Jensen sat up as slowly as he could, and got out of bed, trying not to wake Amanda up. He knelled down, and pulled out a suitcase underneath his bed, and opened it up, taking out a couple boxes from it. Presents he got for Amanda during his summer break. Though they were all but boyfriend and girlfriend, just not officially. Jensen likes his privacy, and so they're on the down low, though he's pretty sure most, if not all of the students at the know they are seeing each other.

Jensen looked over at Amanda, and let out a sigh. 'What am I doing?' He wondered to himself as he watched her. Jensen laid down next to Amanda, and wrapped his arm around her, and began kissing her below her ear, and down her neck. "Hey, time to get up." He said, trying to give her as pleasant a wake up call as possible. He placed his hand on her chin, and gently pushed her to face him, and then he passionately kissed her on the lips.

"Oh! I didn't have the time to tell you this last night, but I got you a little something over the break. Well a couple of little things." He said as he placed the boxes he took from his suitcase, and placed them on the bed. He opened them up, one contained a first edition Outlander novel, another had four multi color seashells, and then a smaller box that contained seashell necklace. "Didn't know if you had the book or not, I know you like those romance novels so I got it for you. And I know how much you like shells, so....uh there you go. Hope you like them, not much of a gift giver."

Jensen's phone then made a noise, signaling that he got a text message. Jensen leaned over, and grabbed his phone to read the message.

{Club meeting at the usual spot. Now.}

Jensen sighed as he closed out of his messages.

Isaac's head bobbed up and down as he listened to his music blasting loudly as he worked on a circuit board. He worked on the circuit board with a pair of goggles pushed down on his face to protect his eyes from sparks that would fly off from the circuit. He was in his secret lab where he works on his more sensitive projects. Behind him stood several tall figures each covered with a sheet.

Isaac then heard his phone going off, signaling that he got a text. He sighed as he laid his tools down, and calmly lifted his goggles up to rest on his forehead. Isaac flicked his wrist to bring up his text messages. Though to anyone seeing him, if there was anyone around to see him he'd just look like he was spazing out.

{From: Thomas Elliot}
{Time for a club meeting. Coming to you. The Thunderer will be along shortly.}

Isaac rolled his rolled. The Thunderer, Jensen. Ugh. How he ever got stuck with working with that idiot was beyond him. Though he did have his uses. He was useful as a power source when he needed a lot of energy, and he couldn't very well plug into any old outlet. And Jensen was also rather strong, almost abnormally strong for a Demigod of Zeus. But still, being the only person that he could really work with was rather bothersome.

It had been a long break. At times Dominika hadn't slept in twenty eight hours. This was all due to her going back home to Russia for awhile. She hated the place. Her mother was a stupid woman who married the wrong man. Also completely brainwashed by him, brainwashed to the point she had child with this man. Nothing made her blood boil more than knowing that her half sister was going to be staying with that vile man. At least if she was home she could protect her for a little while.

Her sister was two now. Katrina was a very lively kid who was full of energy. She barely knew how to walk, but she'd keep going all over the place. Dominika attempted to help her walk at various times, but eventually she was shrugged off and Katrina would run and eventually hit something, because she hadn't learned to stop yet. All Nika could do was laugh and let the girl learn. A few times Nika took the kid out to the park and she would slide down the slide with her, and play hide and seek. It was new having a younger sister. Sure she had half sisters at the academy, but they could hold their own. Katrina was only two and she had a disgusting man as her father.

Dominika had come home two nights prior to the first day of school. She didn't like the rush of everyone else coming in. Due to being at the academy for quite some time, she always had the same room and the same roommate. Nika had brought back some of her things and tucked them into her closet, but for the most part all her decorations were already here. Her medals from various competitions were up, and her skates hanging off the wall. Nika wished there was ice to skate on and practice on. Her goal is still to make it to the Olympics someday.

Exhaling softly she pushed the bangs out of her face. She had stayed cooped up inside her room for about a day now. She should at least go out and walk around a bit. She got up and stretched her arms up and back, arching her back as she let a yawn go. With that Dominika left her dorm and started walking in the halls with no end game. Maybe she would go get food who knew.

She had been running late again, but that was nothing new. Looking at her empty dorm room, she wondered why he even bothered hurrying anyway. She was alone and looking at the sparse, bland walls she started to feel sad. Not that she has been in a better place before hand considering her mother had flown off to Australia for some new shoot. She rolled her eyes then thinking about her mother and her over zealous ways of trying to get back on top.But what did she care, she was doing her own thing and now she was at the academy.

Crossing her arms over her chest she looked back to the wall, her mouth in a slight put. This simply won't do. And in a flash she started decorating her side of the room. Lights were hung around the tops of the walls, posters and framed photographs she had taken from all over started to come together on her wall. In a matter of seconds the wall looked fantastic and Giselle took a step back to admire her work. "Much better," she smiled to herself.

Now that the important work had been finished she was ready to go exploring. Forcing herself not to bolt from her room, she inhaled and exhaled deeply and calmly left her room. Her nerves and excitement were hard to contain but she managed to look like she was unbothered but friendly enough to approach her. She wasn't sure what she'd find or even who she'd find but she ventured out further into the campus taking it all in and noting exactly where everything was.

"Gray don't forget this!" His mother was running after him before he boarded his flight. She was taking out his childhood teddy bear from her purse and holding it out in front of her. "Mom, that really isn't necessa-" he was cut off by the pleading look on his mother's face, "Alright, I'll take Boo with me." He took the bear from his mom and looked down at his tattered ear his grandmother had sown on so many times back then. A small smile spread across his face as he looked back at his mom before he took her in his arms and hugged her one last final time. "Take care of yourself alright?" "You know I will, you better call me everyday!" Cringing he turned around and shouted over his shoulder that he would before getting on his flight.

The flight was shorter than he expected and he was at the academy in no time. Stepping out of the cab he placed his sunglasses over his eyes and made his way down central campus with his luggage rolling behind him. There weren't many people milling about and he wondered if he had arrived early. But he had specifically remembered that his father told him today was the move in day. Then again his father was a bit all over the place that day when telling him this, as if something important was on his mind but he hadn't chosen to share with his son yet.

Gray found his building quickly and was about to head to his room before he found a familiar face. "Nika?" Leaving his luggage where it was he headed over to the daughter of Zeus and past girlfriend. He was glad the two had kept in touch and were still friends despite not being together anymore. She'd always been dear to him and would remain so no matter what went on between them and in their separate personal lives. "It's good to see you again," he was about to go in and hug her but stopped just in time before he made a fool of himself. "How have you been?"

While walking down the hall Dominika had been in her own state. She could hear a few people arriving already and could hear the wheels of a suitcase coming down the hall. You could also hear the young teens shouting and yelling everywhere, which was a reason why Dominika didn't want to come out of her room, but she needed the fresh air, and thus where she was starting to head towards. Nika could already tell from the windows in her apartment that it was a bit sunny out so she was getting her sunglasses out and putting them on.

That was when she heard a familiar voice and her head looked up and saw Gray. Gray was the son of Poseidon and also her ex-boyfriend. They had dated for awhile last year, but it didn't last through out and into their summer break. They didn't break up due to anything like cheating, if they had, well Nika wouldn't be talking to him at all. Even though broken up they were still friends and they could talk, but things were far more complicated than that. Nika had to break it off because she couldn't bring herself to telling him part of her past and to her that was a key thing she wanted to be able to share, but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't. Dominika had to end it, because she didn't want to lie to him. Nika is a very closed off person, and she couldn't be in a relationship and not share something so deep and personal to her. It wasn't fair to Gray.

Even now she wished she could have just been able to share part of her life with him, that she so badly wanted to, but the words would never come out. It sucked. Even now she wondered if she could just tell him, but it was almost as if her tongue was cut out and she couldn't speak. She exhaled softly and looked at him still.

The words she wanted to say didn't come out. Instead just a greeting did, "Hey." She said softly and looked down. Thankfully the sunglasses were on her face at this point, so he couldn't see the shift in her eyes. "I've been well, visited my baby sister over the break. She's just learning to walk." Nika said with a smile on her face. She was proud of her baby sister for just starting to walk, but later on down the road if she ever hears anything about the monster touching her, Nika will not think twice and she'll murder Pavel. He's cruel and malevolent. Tears threatened to spill over, but Nika denied them from surfacing.

"I uh, have to go, we'll catch up later." Nika said in haste and with that she ran down the hall and kept running until she found a quiet secluded place to be and she sat down there hugging her knees to her chest. This was a good spot if you just wanted to be alone, most people didn't walk this way unless they were bored or new.

"This is the worst." Dimitri admitted, he could already feel the sensation of homesickness settling in. The entirety of his life rested in the acres he was now standing at the edge of. He'd only ever left to see this school one other time, and now he was going to spend what would feel like an eternity there. Dimitri sighed, the comfort of home was something he cherished deeply. He wasn't afraid of the academy, or even worried or nervous, but his homesickness made up for the other standard bitter feelings most people would be feeling in his shoes.

"I realize you ain't too happy about havin' t'go." Aaron, Dimitri's father, said. His accent was as thick and southern as they came. "But'cha gotta know we're only doin' this for you 'cause it's what's best." Aaron remarked. All it warranted from his adopted son was an uncertain shrug, which was unusual for Dimitri. Dimitri hugged his dad, tightly. He was going to miss everything about the farm, even the hot, beating sun. A lot of emotions surged through Dimitri, and not many moments later, he could begin to feel the earth shaking slightly underneath him.

A jolt of panic caused the demigod to break the hug, and gather himself. The earth promptly stopped shaking, despite how slight it was. "Y'know, I hear that happens a lot in San Francisco." Dimitri's mother, Theresa, chimed in. "Maybe you just have a bunch'a unstable brothers and sisters going to school there?" His mother teased, bringing a small smile to the son of Poseidon.

-----

The goodbyes didn't get any easier, especially when it came to his horse, Starr, who had actively been his best friend his entire life. Despite all of the woes of saying goodbye to home, it wasn't long until a sense of wonder began to distract Dimitri. He had left home so few times that anything outside the small farmer's community was foreign to him. The ride to the airport alone was enough to have Dimitri spotting tall buildings and structures and fields and forests. Let alone the airplane itself, he'd only been on an airplane two times prior.

The flight was boring for most of the passengers, but Dimitri couldn't keep his head away from the window. Even though a good portion of the flight was simply ocean, it was still a world of wonders for Dimitri. It was the exact same route he had flown his last two flights, but it was still incredible. The sense of wonder and exploration in him didn't stop upon arrival. He'd been to the academy before, but his housing situation was temporary and away from other students. The short time he had been there was full of testing, whether it was physical testing, aptitude testing, or the testing of has magical powers. Despite having been here before, it felt like the first time again.

When Dimitri made it to his assigned dorm, he checked the few rooms, having knocked, which was a foreign thing to him still. No one was around, so Dimitri left his bag in the main room. It took him a few minutes of standing in the middle of the room and glancing at everything to get passed how surreal it all was. He had no clue what an apartment even looked like, so grasping that this was home for now was strange to the son of Poseidon. When he was done taking in the breath of new home, and attempting to exhale the abundance of homesickness, Dimitri searched for a pen and paper. He wrote a quick note to his roommate, who he didn't know next to anything about.

Take whichever room you want,
looking forward to meeting you.

Dimitri left the note in a conspicuous spot, near his bag, so that his roommate would see it. Having taken care of that, Dimitri decided he was eager to freely explore the academy, while he had some time.

The architecture of the building was amazing to Dimitri, not that he actually knew the first thing about architecture. Dimitri passed a lot of people, many in small groups, a few alone, and then there were large groups. He hadn't ever seen so many people around his age in one place, it was odd for him. It didn't stop him from saying greetings to many of them, but the feeling of it all was still strange.

Dimitri was still picking up on the sheer size of the academy. From the inside, he was beginning to understand that navigation wasn't simple. The layout wasn't simple, and on occasion, he'd hit certain halls and have no idea where he was. He was beginning to think a map would be real helpful.

Wherever he was in the halls, it was real empty compared to how the rest of the building had been. For a little while, he wasn't running into anyone at all, until he made a turn and saw a girl sitting on the floor, with her knees hugged to her chest. "Good mornin'." Dimitri said, his southern accent flaring like usual. "What brings you here?" He asked, almost uncertain if the girl was okay.

Dominika had been relieved when she had noticed that Gray hadn't followed her. She didn't want to be rude to him and just tell him it was nothing it didn't work that way, but she couldn't tell him about her past. The only one who knew about that was Talia, but she has known her for about three years now and they were roommates. Nika just knew she could trust her, and so far she wasn't wrong in doing so. Taking her sunglasses off she laid her head on her knees. Just pure quiet and she was alone.

Nika had almost dozed off there for awhile. She desperately tried to cling to other thoughts and other things. She tried to just think of her baby sister, but even that didn't work, because she connected her baby sister to the damn monster that lived in that house. It wasn't fair, she couldn't do anything about it, and since Katrina is Pavel's she has no escape until she's eighteen and moves out. That's still sixteen years from now. Her head spun with all this information and she let go of a heavy sigh.

Hearing footsteps in the distance, the daughter of Zeus knew that someone would be coming by soon. Hopefully they'd just leave her alone, but that wasn't how this world worked was it? No one could have complete peace here. The steps got louder and louder until they stopped and she heard someone say good morning to her, in a strange accent. All her time being in the academy and for some reason she had never came across this particular accent.

She wasn't going to reply at first, but she scowled a bit. Was he asking why she was here in this spot or at the academy? Shaking her head mentally she brought her face up to look at who was speaking to her. She analyzed him for a few moments before she answered his questions. "If you're asking in terms of the academy, well my fathers a whore and a deadbeat. If you're asking in terms of this spot in general, well that's none of your business." She said with bitterness. There was never good men in her life. Pavel was a disgusting pig, her real father was a deadbeat who couldn't keep it in his pants. Both actually seem quite similar now that you think about it, she couldn't even decide which one was worse. They had their own form of evil.

Dimitri's expression changed to a more blank one. In general his family almost never cursed, so it was unusual to the son of Poseidon. However, Dimitri had done his share of studying his Greek deities over the past few months. If he had to take a guess as to who her dad was, it was either a mortal who had their priorities all screwed up or it was... "Zeus?" Dimitri asked, though he realized after why making that guess wasn't a great idea. Dimitri wasn't in particular afraid of Zeus because he wasn't very much on the god's radar at all. But, if this girl wasn't a child of Zeus, then he might have picked his words poorly.

"Not that I'm one to judge..." Dimitri tried to make some brightness in his estimate of her father, though at this point, he didn't feel very good about it. "Sorry, that ain't somethin' that usually happens. Just tryin' to make a good guess from what I've learned." The demigod shrugged slightly, deciding to take the honest path, which was something much more his nature. One of Dimitri's greatest strengths and greatest weaknesses was his lack of ability to comprehend social anxiety or awkwardness. Neither situation had ever appeared in from of him, so he had grown up unaware of their existence.

He was still trying to gather how he felt about the first impression with this girl. She wasn't the most fond of him thus far, but Dimitri had considered that that could just be her usual personality. He hadn't ever heard an accent like hers, and he enjoyed accents foreign to his own a good deal. "I guess it ain't my business." Dimitri agreed. He offered his hand to her to shake, something he was taught to do when meeting a new person. "My name is Dimitri Midnight. I've been told to tell people that the surname is real."
