Introduction
This isn’t about two families at war at one another. At least, not yet anyway. The McCalls and the Lombardis have never out-rightly shown any animosity towards one another in the years of them living in the city of Los Angeles. In fact, there were hardly – if any – social interactions between the two families. One might see the other a few times, but with the ever-increasing number of citizens moving to LA, who would have time to single out who was who? However, all of that changed when the race for the Governor of California came into play.
Senator Jonathan McCall knows that he is in no way the first choice for governor. While he is undoubtedly a great politician – albeit shady at times – he has never been a people-person. Most people can see through his false smiles. After all, he managed to run his own daughter and wife away. But when it comes to this race and a chance to be in power, he will do absolutely anything to get the position.
Including manipulation.
Chief Lombardi has been suffering through almost a year trying to find this serial killer that has been haunting The Greater Los Angeles Area, snatching up young women, raping them and killing them, and then ravenously murdering anyone with them. But with the limited amount of government assistance and the FBI pounding him for not doing his job, Chief Lombardi would do anything to get this killer in jail.
Even using the dirty resources Jonathan McCall has.
So, they two hatched a plan. It is simple really. Binding their two families together will look good for the senator and Lombardi could use him – no matter how crooked the latter’s men may be – to solve his case. All the kids have to do is flirt around in public for one month; act affectionate and couple-y. Once the month is up, they have to announce their engagement and flaunt it around throughout the entire summer. They would even have to move in together. Once the elections roll around, a wedding date should be set and the last piece of the puzzle would be for them to stay married for at least a year. What could possibly go wrong?
Oh yeah, there’s just one problem – they have to get their two eldest children to agree. The McCalls’ elder daughter fled the country to attend a private school in France and while she is due back in February, there is no guarantee she will agree to sell her soul to the same devil she ran away from. And the Lombardis’ eldest son’s is just as stubborn; he has never considered giving up his freedom. And even with his father’s career on the line, will he even budge? Senator McCall is sure that his daughter will. He already has the means to get her to do so and as for the Lombardis, family has always been a number one priority. But what happens when it stops being about the race and the two fall in love? How far will everyone be pushed? And how close is this serial killer to home?
The McCalls are not a happy family. How could they be? The patriarch is nothing short of a vindictive and sneaky man whose only goal in life is to maintain control of everything – and everyone. It's probably the reason why his daughter went to school abroad and his ex-wife left him. Even his cheating and marrying said mistress has put a strain on the family. And while this deal that he has may anger everyone in the family, it will happen whether they want it to or not – even if he has to use the younger sister to do it.

The Rules
- I am the queen of this RP and I want to see my baby take flight. Please don’t reserve unless you know for a fact that you will be able to post regularly. Contact me about when you won’t be able to post or if something comes up and if you have questions, you know where the PM button is.
- Be prepared for me to tell you know about changing face claims. Some, I will allow. Others I will not.
- The first part of the password is your favorite color
- Look, I know we are all human and are prone to mistakes. But write posts like you know English or at least have a thesaurus or dictionary beside you. It’s not that hard. And I would love for people to be able to write up to 300 words per post.
- I would like for everyone to reserve a character from each gender. I know playing a game can be difficult, but if this RP is going to thrive, sacrifices must be made.
- Reservation period lasts 48 hrs. If you don’t have the WIP up by the end of your time, I am seriously going to remove your reservation and open the character up. If the WIP is not completed in the next 48 hrs, I will remove your character and open the character again.
- The second part of the password is your dream superpower. (We all have one)
- Be kind and courteous to others. I don’t want your drama to affect this RP.
- Get creative with the CS. Have fun!
- Post at least three times a week.
- Romance is encouraged and there will be mature themes. However, once one article of clothing is off and more skin is revealed, move along to the whatever-happens-next scene or take it to PM. I don’t want this RP to get shut down because it’s bordering erotica.
