It was cold out, but the figure staring up at the building didn’t seem to notice, a bag slung over his shoulder and another grasped in his hand. Heaving a sigh that plumed visibly out in front of him in the chill air, Gale started through the snow to the door. A warm wave of air hit him as he opened the door and slipped inside, shutting it quietly after him and kicking off his snow-drenched boots in the front hall so he would track water and slush all over the carpet. Having somehow managed to maintain his balance, he stepped further into the lodge to look around.
It was, to put it bluntly, incredible, a massive study in luxury that he wasn’t quite used to, but definitely liked. He could easily see himself curling up on one of the couches near the fire to relax, but for now though, he needed to find a place to put his things before his arm went numb. There was no one around as far as he could tell, and so saw no point to call out as he made his way towards where he assumed the rooms would be, at least if his memory was correct.
Entering a hallway, he randomly chose a door, heading down to the far left of the four. Nudging it open, he entered only to pause as he realized that there was someone else in the room. Blinking silently for a few moments, he quickly threw out the idea of turning around and picking another room- not only would that lead to awkwardness, but also be extremely rude- and slipped further inside. Ducking his head in a quiet greeting, he dumped his bags on the free bed, absently massaging the numbness out of his shoulder, lower lip caught between his teeth.
((Hm, this looked longer on Word xD ))
