Akira is introverted to a high degree. He is often seen by himself or in the company of animals, as social interaction isn't exactly his strong suit. Akira unfortunately comes off as annoyed, jaded, and distant due to the resting tone of his voice and the expression he normally wears. If anything, he simply has a hard shell and has trouble with trust. He's a deep thinker, philosophical at times and reflective. He's matured a bit beyond his years, his aura giving away what seems like an old soul. If anyone is willing to take the time to know him, they will find that Akira has quite a few things to say about the workings of the universe.

Akira is prone to letting his emotions rule him, passionate about what he has come to know and care for. He will snap against injustices, especially against those who have had the privilege to live comfortably for most of their lives. Akira isn't afraid to get into physical fights if it means to prove a point. He believes heavily that one must work hard to achieve their dreams, wishing on stars can only do so much. Many will find a good listener and problem solver, the young man willing do to just about anything for friends and family alike. Underneath his somewhat hard exterior, Akira is someone in great need of good company and perking up. Due to his position, Akira lacks hope and is prone to depressive states.

Akira is very fond of animals, though tends to favor rabbits. The feel of their fur is comforting to him, and he finds them incredibly cute. Not that he would say so out loud of course. Many will find books, stories most specifically, on hand. He enjoys stories about the underdog, those who break free and rise up. He would never be open to say this, but Akira actually likes to dress in Lolita fashion. It gives him a confidence boost and helps him practice acting in character. Akira is also a fan of civil debates, liking to find a good conversation about differing opinions and ways of seeing things. He's find enjoyment in the quiet, liking to take time for himself and go on walks through parks at night. The rain is something he's fond of, the small pattering of water as it hits the rooftop. He loves to listen to people talk about their hopes and dreams, loving how people become passionate and hopeful. Akira is an enthusiastic sleeper, liking the feel of the bed after a long day. He's incredibly fond of music, finding inspiration and comfort in pieces. Acting has been a part of his life for a very long time, finding inspiration and a sense of serenity from pieces and enthusiasm from others. Many who know him would say that it's a passion, one of the core foundations that make him Akira. He is especially fond of musicals. Compliments, romantic implications of any kind, and teasing make him blush bright and stammer.

People aren't a dislike of his as much as they are a difficulty for him. Social interaction makes him skittish and tense. Akira isn't fond of wasting time, finding it annoying and anxiety inducing. He hates laziness, infuriating him and making it frustrating to work. Others must pick up their fair share of work or Akira will have words. Messes put him in a bad mood, as well as asking more than three times for anything. Secondhand embarrassment based comedy makes him cringe as well as most rap music. He will always refuse to play games like truth or dare or spin the bottle.

________________________________QUIRKS & HABITS

Akira tends to tap his fingers against his knuckles when standing in place for too long, rocking back and forth on his feet. When eating, he'll stare off into space in the direction of his plate or ahead of him. He often spends time thinking on a question he's heard or a certain topic during a conversation he's listened to. He will forget that he's left music on or that his headphones are over his ears, so he might speak louder than intending to. When working, he may recite a scene to himself or hum a song he's listened to recently. Akira also has a habit of having conversations with animals.

Akira always takes a shower or bath when waking up in the morning, as well as a cup of coffee. He'll be grumpy if he doesn't do at least one of these things. He will often double check work before continuing on to the next task. Akira also organizes by size, going from largest to smallest. He will work large problems into small portions, often doing hand gestures as he thinks things out. He will talk to himself to work out thoughts and overthinks things when it comes to talking one on one with someone. Akira can't stand being in a crowded space, especially in crowded elevators. Boastful and prideful people rub him the wrong way. He's not a fan of sudden noises or jumpscares. He will never stand for bullying, belittling, or putting others down. He will fight anyone who attempts to do so with anyone. God be merciful if someone attempts bullying Akira.

Akira may construct defensive or offensive items from his life-force or his soul, depending on what one believe's in. He can construct armor, shields, smaller weaponry, but it can form large barriers if Akira must. The item the soul shapes is dense and hard to break, but it can be broken. The strength of the construct is dependent on a few factors: Akira's health, emotional state, mental state, will to fight, will to live. Akira can only make constructs from his own soul, unable to use the essence of those around him. Once he is unconscious or dead, constructs will fall apart. Akira will take physical damage in the form of bruising and internal wounds if the soul construct breaks more than once.

________________________________HISTORY

Akira Kuromori was born into a rather poor family. His father was a fisherman struggling to reel in fish worth selling, while his mother was working two jobs to make ends meet. Akira learned from a young age that things were hard, noticing how his clothes were hand-me-downs and a bit dirtier than those around him. Before he reached the age of ten, Akira did all that he could to be as helpful as he could around the house. He helped with his mother's poor health and father's sales. Despite these hardships, the family was happy and loving. He was able to attend school and learn like any young child could, given the right circumstances. His mother introduced him to the world of musicals at a young age, the songs and acting enamoring him. They completely won him over, Akira declaring that he would one day be an actor, just so he could be part of a grand musical. Though, his favorite moments were when his father would pull out his shamisen and play. Just two days before his 13th birthday, Akira's father lost his life on his way back home from fishing. It was a large storm, the boat going under and drowning the poor man. That was the day Akira learned about the harsher aspects of life, maturing a bit more quickly than he should have.

Middle school was a little hard. Akira was in a situation in which he couldn't work due to his age, but his biggest problem was that no one could tell if he was a boy or a girl. Of course, it bothered him for a little while. Yet, over time, he cared less and less. He didn't mind being both or either/or to someone. He knew himself well enough and the second year was when he was introduced to Lolita. A young girl, whom Akira was good friends with at the time, urged him to dress in Lolita on Halloween. So he did, and he fell in love with it. Thus, he became the child who confused just about everyone. Though he studied hard and made sure to do his share of work once he got home. Yet, he couldn't help but try out in some of the plays the school. His favorites were the Shakespearian plays they brought in from England. The language was funny and strange, but the stories had heart in them. Because they were his favorite, he tried out for Romeo and Juliet in a heartbeat. To no one's surprise, he was cast as Juliet. Of course, he enjoyed it the entire time and did his part well. Yet, he couldn't help but feel his heart pound when the "Romeo" became close to his face. Then it developed to just about any boy coming in close contact, any that he took interest in. It was hard, learning what he was. Being a homosexual seemed to alienating, many of the older classmates using it as a slur or an insult. So he shelled himself in, shoving his dreams and true identity aside.

Once he entered high-school, he landed one job at the new maid cafe across the street. It was the perfect excuse to dress up confidently, but it was finally a job. So, putting on his mother's makeup and styling his hair, he landed a spot and has worked there since. He also does odd jobs here and there, mostly labor work when he can. Though, he has forgotten what it was like to be sociable, to be surrounded with good friends. Sure, he could get by with high school without them yet, there is a loneliness that eats at him every now and again. Something that feels missing. With his sickly mother and closeted self, he's not so sure that he can achieve the dream he's held onto for so long. Akira has yet to know the journey that awaits him, the dreams call and the path that has been paved for him.

Everyone felt it. The overwhelming feeling of malevolency radiating in waves from the royal palace. But under that was a hint of perculiar auras from another world. They knew the hardships that were to come.

The prince sat on his throne, mindlessly fiddling with the gem around his neck. His presence was darker than usual, and it cast an unsettling feeling around the castle. As he reached for his wine glass, a loud knock filled the room. Naoki 'tsked' and rolled his eyes. Annoyed, he ordered, "Enter." The dark azure doors of the throne room opened, revealing one of the knights of the Royal Guard.

Naoki scoffed. "What do you want?" The knight bowed before walking closer towards the slouching prince's throne. "Your highness, I have a message from the council elders." Naoki raised an eyebrow. "They say a group of humans have appeared in various places around the kingdom suddenly." It stayed silent for a moment, before the prince murmured, "Dreamwalkers?" He gathered a dark look on his face. "You.", he bellowed. The knight looked up at him in alert.

"Yes, your highness?", the knight questioned.

"Tell the rest of the guard their next mission: find these "humans" and bring them to me- whether dead or alive."
