This is a real life or city roleplay, with the potential for there to be supernatural elements in the form of ghosts and urban legends.

921 readers have visited Lakeside since lpriml created it.

Introduction

Lakeside is set in 2015 in a resort town in New York. All characters are welcome, and anyone is welcome to branch off into their own RPs, in different areas of the town/businesses/amusements.

Toggle Rules

1. No metagaming
2. English doesn't need to be your first language, however proper grammar is a must and all writing must be in english. If you would like a character that speaks another language, message me and we'll work something out.
3. If your character dies, you must create a new one.
4. The RP is not currently featuring adult content.
5. Though the RP has supernatural elements, they are only stories/your character thinks they see ghosts. Your character is not a supernatural being.
  • A good example would be, "There's a story around here that says the old wax museum is haunted."
  • A bad example would be, "I'm a vampire. I sleep all day, but I also sparkle in the sun."

Emmy wraps the scarf around her neck, adjusting it as she looks in the mirror. The snow is still falling outside and she smiles to herself. As many winters as she's had in New York, she'll never get sick of seeing the snow, even if it becomes such a trouble to walk in after a day or two. She slips into her coat, buttoning it up so the color flips over the rainbow scarf around her neck and she bends at the waist, picking up her backpack.

Grabbing her keys from the small table beside the door, she gives the room a cursory glance to make sure everything is secure before flicking the light off and reaching for the doorknob.

Ersen is just walking on the street, regularly taking out a paper and looking around to be able to find the adress without getting lost, after walking around for 10 minutes without success he lets out a swear in Turkish and pulls out his phone to call Emmy on phone

Emmy locks the door behind herwhen she finally steps out of the apartment, dropping the keys into her pocket as she hefts the backpack onto her shoulder. She makes her way down the stairs and the front doors of her apartment building, and makes her way down the sidewalk.

Ersen slowly dials the number, once again cursing under his breath to adress, he checks the number around three times and moves his thumb near the call button, he then assumes a waiting position, right leg standing somewhere in front of him in a half step distance and his left hand on his hip, still holding the paper, a slight frown and an annoyed look on his face due to his failure. Determined to not ruin the surprise he just cancels the dialing and puts the phone back to his pocket and once again looks around for a street name, upon a more careful glance around he finally notices the sign on the corner giving out the name of the street, he sighs out happily and rolls his eyes before moving in a nearly running pace to apartment square

Shoving her hands into her pockets, Emmy continues making her way down the sidewalk. The snow is piled high along her left side, plows having shoved it out of their way they best they could. It's still falling heavily and it isn't projected to stop any time soon and, she assumes, they'll have a foot or more to deal with by the time the morning comes.

She loses her balance a second, slipping on a near invisible patch of ice but she grips her boots in and is able to right herself before taking an embarrassing tumble to the concrete. She still flishes red a bit, and ducks her face behind the scarf at her neck to hide the red of her cheeks.

Ersen keeps up his pace until he can clearly see the complex in the meantime, he is close enough to get in one of the apartments, he then stops suddenly as she notices someone slipping, can't recognise the face from that distance yet, he slows up his pace after seeing the potential existing danger and slowly moves towards the apartment complex, heading to direction of the person who just slipped

Emmy continues her trek down the sidewalk, face half hidden behind the scarf and she keeps her gaze focused ahead of her, not looking at anyone or anything in particular.

"Oh, hello excuse me may I ask the exact location of the written adress ?"

Irked by the silent nature of this part of the concrete dormatory, housing only him in a disparity of twenty or so shoddy ruins of blocks of offices; bound together by mortar and a way to go up and down using the stairs at any time.

Unfamiliar items passed through here all of the time. An opened Mr. Potato packet was whistled along by the wind. It was accelerating and then deccelerating slightly less than it was accelerating before accelerating slightly more than it deccelerated. The wave of wind was really east coast style.

Looking sharply at the crisp packet; Andrew's hand arose with life to the area of his waist. Random fingers dug in to other random fingers on both arms as he braced himself for the inevitability of a crisp packet paining him.

The crisp packet deformed around the man's face. Posing piously and persuasively polished, pitting; parting there on his face. Electrostatic pain just blipped on his face; it had hit the proximity of his left cheek!

He leaned his entire torso back into a momentary slump before stating:

"Not a good start to the day. Not at all. Hugh. I feel like it can only go uphill if it begins on a downer. Let's see it through I guess." Andrew took a momentary pause, reprising his situation once the crisp packet drew aside.

Using his hands to brush out of the knits in his blue trenchcoat: loose salt and starch that haf leaked from off the packet.h

Katsuda Arama would be sitting on the edge of a rooftop about 50-100 ft tall, he liked the view of the snow falling, he thought he could sit their forever, he had no home anyway, why should he leave other than to get food, this is the only life he's had, no mother, no father, no.. Siblings either, he'd sigh, "Its getting cold, I should start heading back to my shelter..", as he begins to climb down a ladder at the back of a building, he notices a shadowy figure out the corner of his eye, but when he looked, nothing was there..

About two hours later he would get back to his little shelter in a dark alleyway, people sometimes give him money and food, but he didn't need it, he felt bad that he was taking from others without anything for them.. "I wish my parents were here... But they're dead, I never have even met them.." He'd take his cap off, slowly drifting off into a deep sleep....

He'd wake up, something was different, he put his cap on and got up. Someone had taken his only money... He'd sigh, "What.. Why would anyone do this.." Then he saw a note, it said: Tonight I'm coming for you, better run but you cant hide.. Katsuda would hear his heart pounding in his chest.. He'd pack up all the food, water and clothes he had, running down the alleyway, he'd fire his rope launcher contraption, getting pulled up to a roof with speed. He had gotten across 10 buildings before he stopped to rest and eat lunch, a ham sandwich and water, he'd pack up his stuff again, running until the end of the roof, he hadn't noticed the 10 meter gap, swiftly at the last second he jumped, just making the gap, he did a judo roll and kept on running, after two hours he had gotten past two towns and had set up a new home in an alleyway, he'd get a sleeping sack from a homeless shelter across the street and set it down, he also made a little fort using cardboard and broken wooden planks. He'd eat a dinner of frozen mini pizza at 10 pm, slowly drifting off.

A rugged sound of a sharp and calignous collision darted to Harrison's ears somewhere from the shadows of society. He let himself lightly tremble like a well-cooked crouton in a pan. Harrison chose to use this analogy being a hearty gourmand his fine self.

For once in the day Harrison was able to sense his legs mingling with the ground. This only persuaded him further that he should move. Even now: the concrete floor was of misuse and had an abrasive texture that slid you off it easier than it drew you to it. He took extra care to connect the rubber of his two loose kidney-consistency handmade boots. He could barely see the door he wanted to get to: the rubble-filled poverty hostel was so spacious and bare; all the heat rooted to the ceiling, rooted there since primordial times; but it had never stayed the same heat, the same phenomenon. In any case: the coolness only added to the lack of intimacy and warmth.

Luckily his beanbag was plenty warm. Been sleeping in it all night; he had a healthy temperature and aura about him.First order of the day was to get some breakfast. Harrison still was noneffactive about the shooting sound. Yes

BANG!! A sound a like that.
