Kale Maloczewski's Story

Kale raised an eyebrow at the girl, he heard her mumble something but wasn't sure what exactly she had said. The man shrugged his shoulders and continued drinking some of his coffee, letting the taste linger in his mouth for a few moments, enjoying it. He wouldn't directly admit it, but he was having a rather nice time, though he wasn't quite sure why. Kale wasn't sure what to say to her, for now at least, so he kept quiet as he hoped she might say something.

James help onto her hand softly, he enjoyed the feeling of his hand in his, especially due to the fact her hand was rather soft, But most girls hands are usually soft right? Or was it only her's that seemed to be the softest he's ever held? It didn't matter thought, he enjoyed it no matter what thought came into his head. "Alright let's go," he said to the girl with a soft smiled, leading her out of his room and down stairs. "Me and Layla are going to the mall, I'll be back later.. love ya," James quickly and hastily shouted towards his mother, getting out the door before any awkward confrontation with her. Once out the door he looked over at Layla, the smile he'd had on his face before still plastered onto his face, "you don't mind walking to the mall do you? it's the only way I have to get anywhere."

Kale walked towards his care, quickly stepping inside of it, closing the door behind him. He started up the engine, letting it run for a moment or so before putting it into drive and taking off towards the zoo. At the nearest stop light he looked behind him, making sure Lila was following close behind, he didn't want her falling behind and end up getting lost... however odd that sounded.

Kale pulled up to the zoo, it had been a long time since he'd been to this place, it brought back old memories from his childhood. The man didn't haven a zoo membership card, he found those things rather useless and not worth his time, and paid money to go in. Once he's made it into the parking lot, he found a parking space close to Lila's and parked his own car. The door opened as he got out of the vehicle and walked over to Lila.

"Ready to go in?" he asked her, his eyes glancing over at the large zoo.

Kale glanced off over at the zoo, he wasn't sure if he was ready, or just wanted to stand their looking like a complete idiot. With that thought in mind he shrugged his shoulder, "yeah, let's get going," he said to the girl. He began walking ahead of her towards the entrance, then looked back behind him and stopped, letting the girl catch up with his fast pace.

"What do you want to go look at first?" he questioned her, waiting for his answer with his hands in his pockets and eyes fixed on her.

Kale was a little put off by the sudden grab of his arm and direction change made by Lila. What the hell had she done that for? For whatever reason it was, it was odd, very odd.

"What was that for?" he questioned her quickly after the happening, wanting to know.

"huh?" Kale said to her as he looked behind himself only to catch a glimpse of a man, he didn't recognize him at all. It seemed odd that someone he didn't know would cause physical harm to him, but the world is a rather cruel place after all. "Let's keep clear of him and we'll be ok," he said in a calming voice towards Lila.

Kale placed his arm onto her back, his hand gripping onto her shoulder slightly. He didn't want her to worry about the man, they probably wouldn't see him again during their time at the zoo anyway. "What's your favorite animal?" he questioned her, might as well start of a conversation to forget about any troubles.

"Wolves are pretty nice I suppose," he said, walking down the pathway of the zoo, taking in the many faces of the people around him. Kale shrugged for a moment, he really hadn't much thought about a 'favorite' animale before. "I suppose it would be... cats?" the man said, his eyes wondering away from the girl with a some-what embarrased look on his face. It wasn't like a man to really like cats too much, most would think he'd been a dog kind of person, but he really didn't much care of canines.

"Oh, yeah?" he questioned, looking away for a moment before looking back to her, "it's probably not too manly to be liking cats though, always seemed like more of a female type of animal." Kale couldn't help but blush softly, only enough to show slightly, at what he had just said. Was it sexiest to say something like that?
