Backstory
} "I was born in the fifteenth century, my father a nobleman of pure vampyric breeding and my mother a poor village pureblood he had taken for his wife. My mother Helga was one of many women my father Nikolai had wed in hopes of an heir. However, because Vampire pregnancies were nearly always fatal back then, the mother and child he'd never had much success in the mater. When I and my twin Rodolphus were born, he held a great feast for everyone however my mother wasn't able to join, She died that evening her insides torn apart.
As I grew, my father raised me to know the proper place of our family. He taught me to honor our breeding, he believed we were given right others weren't but he was so deranged towards the end of his life I paid little interest to his stories. At times I wish that I was more interested in his tales and stories, perhaps then I would have more fond memories of him. Alas, growing up with plagues cutting down mankind, and Vampyres shadows for their former greatness, a part of me will always remember those stories of the Vampyre age. When Science and Art were at their peeks and the world was not ruled by elves or man but us.
} When I was a young lad of a hundred or so our family home in Lunkhofen was destroyed by The Tinsley’s. My father, brother, and I barely escaped with our lives. My cousins Wilhelm and Ita weren’t as lucky. My Aunt Anya cried all that night as we made our way to Paris, where my Grandmother was living.
In Paris, I met a young girl, Renette Soula a French Vampyre with an extraordinary gift for magic. She taught me all I know of Blood Magic, how to use it to hide my existence, to shield myself from the sun, and other more personal spells. Within a year we were married, and before long she was with child. Our marriage was short lived when she was arrested for sorcery by the crown and taken to be burned at the stake. Renette never feared death, which is one of the things I admired most about her. She stood in front the executioner spitting out a curse at the flames towered high around her. I watched briefly from the safety of the indoors but looked away when the flames caught hold of her dress. I can still hear her screams, as the fire engulfed her body and our babe.
} After Renette’s death I fled the Paris streets for warmer temperatures, and found myself in Padua. There I met the heiress Calpurnia Del Guárico a notorious flirt but highly wealthy woman. The daughter of a merchant, it wasn’t long before I made my way into Calpurnia’s heart. However, unbeknownst to me, I was not the only man to do so. This being said we were married within a few weeks little did I know she was not as pure as the freshly fallen snow, and a month later she was with child. That was embracing for me; my Calpurnia who I thought loved me was using me to hide her own infidelity.
After the child, a boy Lucentio was born things changed between us. Though looking into those tiny eyes melted my heart to tears, Calpurnia returned to her lover’s bed as opposed to mine. She’d have nothing to do with me, no matter how I tried to woo her she would not have me. One night I lost it; I dove into her chambers in a blood rage and demanded that she give up her childish games. It didn’t go well, she laughed in my face and insisted I leave before the sun rose I was little use to anyone in the daylight. I lost control, I do not know what happened next but when I awoke I was running from the Piazza with a bundle under my arms, it was Lucentio and he cried every step I took as I made my way out of Padua.
} I raised the boy as best I could, true he wasn’t mine by blood nor was he a Vampyre but this pasty little human was an orphan and like it or not I was all he had in the world. I watched him grow, marry, and have children of his own, all from afar as the Tinley’s hunted my family.
In the late nineteenth century, a curse descended on my family. Some called her The Slayer of Hades, other's The Daughter of Hell, I, on the other hand, called her Jessamine. She was the product of a relationship I had with a lady of less than reputable reputation. A Bastard, as some humans would call her. I was not that small minded, if not a little bit foolish, I had heard of the term Dhamphir before but I believed it could be countered, even going as far as finding a positive female role model for her to look up and me a wife. Alas, when that marriage fell apart, Jessamine drifted from my guidance and now is bent on killing me and mine.
At the time I was too blinded with the thought of a child, to think of the future. My mind was full of the past, and the line of stillborn babies that claimed the grounds, along with their mothers. When she grew into a young lady, Jessamine ran away I do not know where she went but wherever it was it fueled her passion to destroy her vampire half. Around the time Jessamine vanquished my brother was killed by Lord Tinsley himself, not a day goes by I don't wish the man had killed me instead of my brother. Now I must marry Lord Tinsley's daughter or forever face my own destruction."
Driven the ghost from my door"

Of whom shall I be afraid?
Abilities
"Over the years I've perfected the art of Blood Magic, a dangerous if the not taboo form of ancient magic. I can use blood as fuel to restore my magical abilities, such as my ability to transform into a dog as the sun is high in the sky as to protect my vampire form."
Weakness
"Fire, A Stake through the heart, nothing but children tales I assure you, such things would kill anyone. My Weaknesses are far more interesting. Unlike some, I have a unique intolerance to Red wine. I can't drink it without getting a severe headache. However on rare occasions, I have been seen drinking the forbidden drink, but it never ends well for me or who I am with." Not to sound too much of a stereotype, but I do suffer from Porphyria, like so many fictional characters. When my skin comes in contact with the sun it blisters and burns, though It will not kill me I tend to dress in heavy layers during the summer months.
And that keeps me it keeps me moving on
