Beau Geste Bellatroix

So much is uncertain with this creature, but what is important is that they really adore the youth.

0 · 986 views · located in Monstrum, 666 Devil Road Transylvania

a character in “Monstrum's Asylum for Developing Monsters”, as played by MartinVole

Description

Name: Beau Geste Bellatroix

Age: She lost track at 100. She thinks she's doing well for her age.

Gender: Female

Race: Swamp creature

Can use magic: yes, capable of linking to another being's thoughts and feelings, charming, as well as manipulating water and plants deriving from swamp magic.

Racial Abilities: Shapeshifting, feeds off nature magic and feelings associated with abandonment.

Appearance:

In most forms she sports long stringy black hair and violent with two rings around a contracted pupil and a star under her left eye, black lips, freckles, a pale face, black sclera, and a black nose, and a large warm grin. Her common human form lacks much of her more bestial traits, a fairly tall woman at around 6'3", with the exception of her face has a darker skin tone. Her second more used form is a humanoid creature with a long neck with the stringy black hair running down her back like a horse's mane, her mouth widened, ears pointed and three sets of fangs as an overbite, a very tall body at 8'5" with hair covering her arm like a sleeve and boney hairless clawed hands protruding from the "sleeves", and sports a long hairless tail striped in white-and-black with barbed fins. Her third common form resembles a giant opossum sporting the barbed tail and an even wider grin than before. She actively refuses to reveal her true form.

Student or teacher? Teacher, third period, Botany.

Backstory:

Born as if from the muddy earth of the swamp itself the creature that would come to be called Beau Geste Bellatroix started life ages ago, without any certain aim or goal, a past she refers to as abysmally empty. Her interactions with other sapient beings was brief and always resulted in scaring them away, her original form she blames for this. It is then that she learned to control her body and change her form to cover her strange body, at first imitating the creatures of the swamps before shifting towards a more human form.

As she studied people more, she learned of families, especially parents who care for and raise children. Having no children of her own she grew obsessed with the idea of raising children. She built a small house and at times luring children in who wandered into the swamp to it where she would act as a mother to them. When confronted by the parents wanting their children back she would blame them for not caring enough for them and growing violently protective. All this came to an end when severely injuring a child who tried to protect their parents from Beau Geste's wrath. Unable to cope with what she had done she ran far away.

Years later, still guilt ridden over her behavior, she sought another means to interact with youth without incident with their parents. It is this search that lead her here, and while it was probably not the most natural transition, being part of a school staff for monsters dealing with what they are in a world that doesn't quite understand is just perfect.

So begins...

Waylen Monstrum

The Headmaster waited for everyone to filter out of the auditorium, hiding his heavy breathing as he turned and leaned against the podium, pretending to look over notes. After everyone evacuated, he took some time to compose himself.
As he calmed down, he stood straight, making sure his hat fit, and turned on his heel, heading for the staff exit and down the hall towards his office. Things had to be ran, after all.

The man went through a mental checklist, slowly running through everything that needed to be taken care of. He needed people for student council and dance committee, as well as dorm leaders. The introduction of co-ed dorms had been something he had been against for centuries, but when the kings say jump, you don't stop to ask how high.
It could be dangerous, and lead to a lot of issues...

As Waylen reached out for his office door, his phone vibrated, causing the immortal to jump. Clearing his throat and making sure that no one was around to notice, he took it out and examined the text message.
"He's arriving today. You will watch him. No ifs, ands, or buts. Take care of him, mister."
He grumbled quietly and spoke his thoughts. "it's a good thing that I don't understand this technology, or you'd have a very stern message."

The headmaster turned the knob to his office and entered, causing a fireplace to jump to life. as he crossed the room, stepping onto the werewolf skin rug, violins filled the air, playing a piece that - from the melody - could be played near the early 19th century. He fell into his high-back, winged chair and leaned into his desk as the door shut with a soft click, pressing a button on the intercom. "Would anyone interested in taking part in the student council report to my office in half an hour?"

Bellatroix quietly slunk down the hall after the orientation. It would be some time until her class started so she had time to go over the faces of the many students attending. She could sense the feelings of abandonment radiating from several students, only natural given the circumstances. She fed upon it, however, but she also empathized, a crossroads of nurture and nature as it were that makes the culmination of her eldritch being. She ponders who will come to seek comfort on her shoulder, twisting her mouth into a wide smile.

She pauses to adjust her dress, a black dress uniform she had thrown on just to appease a certain sensibility that people seem to prefer. She would do so until told otherwise, even if it did feel incredibly restrictive for a being of her... caliber. Just as she does so she feels a sudden presence, a feeling of discontentment and perhaps, abandonment. As she scans the hallway with her bright violet eyes she locks her gaze on Sen as he walks by, in the direction of the headmaster no less. She did not recognize his face among the students in the auditorium so... latecomer? It matters not... he's got problems, and she's here to fee... ahem, help with issues.

"Greetings child, headed to volunteer for student council, I see." She says with a deep southern accent, a slight purr in her tone. "Initiative is good, but I'm 'fraid I've not caught your face at the... induction ceremony."

She was aiming to be cordial, perhaps such would take off some edge. First impressions are important after all, even to a potentially millenia-old shape-shifting primordial entity. Or maybe it is especially important in her case? Either way, nature and nurture being an intermingled drive to reach out as usual.

A jaunty tune whisked past the harpy's lips as she meandered through the hallways. The flapping of her sable wings provided a sharp counterpoint to the peaks and valleys of her cheerful whistling, giving her the persona of a songbird. The halls of the school somewhat reminded Brienne of a cave she'd spelunked through with her father a year ago. Tunnels of stone crossed high-vaulted pockets untouched by sunlight. Dark fingers of ancient stalactites curled down, casting strange shadows across water-rippled walls. The soft trickling of eternal draining water countered David's steps and the occasional rustle of Brienne's feathers. Even drawing a map while they traveled, the pair eventually had to leave a visible trail to return to the entrance.

Though her mind wandered quasi-real landscapes of damp rock and underwater rivers, her body floated aimlessly through the halls, switching direction at random. By the time her brain returned to the present, the harpy realized she had no clue where she ended up. Like that maze of a cave, the school turned her around effectively. Either that, or she accidentally ended up in the most boring limbo of all time while she wasn't looking. Brienne never attended school before today and she already knew that flying through school halls for the rest of eternity was a worse punishment than death.

Deciding to pick up the pace, she swerved around a corner and nearly ran into someone. Halting her headlong flight nearly propelled her into a wall, blowing a rather large gust over the unfortunate person. Dropping onto her taloned feet, Brienne hopped back on her thin bird legs and tilted her head. Sharp, chocolate-coloured eyes examined the other person - no wait, there was someone else too? - in the hall. The man she'd nearly hit looked a bit older than her, and strange horns protruded from his head. Her mind immediately tried to measure them up to an elephant's ivory or a bull's sharp horns, both in form and strength. Not that she'd seen an elephant in person, but she'd read about them. His height impressed her somewhat, as did the stature of his form. Intimidate, however? Not a bit.

Her nearly unblinking eyes fixated on the other form moments later. It definitely looked mostly human, but something seemed... off about her. The unnatural height, for one. That, and the strange eyes. If she was trying to pass as pure human, the creature needed far more practise than that. The tall woman's lips vaguely reminded the harpy of blood sausages pressed together, while the star on her cheek brought up memories of a glam rock star. The mental image of the lady bedecked in a leather outfit from the 70s and a heavily modified guitar sprang to mind.

Blinking slowly, Brienne finally realized she nearly ran over two people and proceeded to quietly stare at them for a good thirty seconds. Coughing awkwardly, she offered a tentative wave with one wing. "Erm, sorry about that. Didn't look where I was going. My name is Brienne, who are you?" She glanced at the man first, then the glam rock lady, looking between the two as she awaited an answer.

Sen was thinking of ways to make his father pay for sending him to the school. It was really playing on his mind how his father thought it was a good idea, how was sending him to this place a good idea? Sen felt he didn't need any correcting in his ways or attitude so he couldn't understand why he was sent to the Monstrum Asylum.

Still brooding and not really wanting to talk to anyone just yet, he thought he heard someone speaking, to him? He began to think, who in the world would randomly want to speak to him? He turned to see the face of a female who was obviously not human, to no surprise. He had never seen anyone like her though and her appearance was intriguing, even if she did look similar to a human. She had a rather strong and mysterious aura about her. It was just a feeling he got. Perhaps she was a teacher? Or maybe her height gave off the strong impression. Having a woman taller than himself did make him feel a bit belittled, it irritated him slightly.

After a while of staring at her, puzzled and impatient, she spoke once more. She spoke of how she had not seen him at the intro ceremony. He raised a brow with slightly narrowed eyes, almost glaring at her. "Is that a problem?" He replied, almost challenging her. Whether it was a problem or not didn't matter to him though, he needed to leave his high-and-mighty attitude behind him because it most certainly would not work here. He'd learn the hard way.

A sudden gust of wind hit him and his long, black hair blew forward creating a mess of strands in places they shouldn't be. Furrowing his brow, he fixed his hair and turned to see what in the world caused wind indoors. "What the bloody hell is it now?" A clumsy Harpy that's what. Although, she was beautiful. That wouldn't stop him from keeping up his I hate everything attitude. He stared back at her as she was silently starring back for roughly thirty seconds and he was confused. Was there something on his face? What was wrong with her? Until finally she spoke. Apologising and stating she wasn't looking where she was going. "Ya think?" Then she introduced herself and expected himself and the taller woman beside him to reply with their name's. He wasn't used to this, random people approaching him like he was your everyday common folk. He disliked the lacking feeling of importance. "I'm Sen Jumin and I should be the Prince of hell right now but nooo." The rest of his sentence was muttered cursing of his father and annoyed sighs. He stopped himself from complaining any further however, he had somewhere to go. "Anyway. Real nice meeting you both, have to go do something important now. On my way to lead the student council." He was being sarcastic about the first part and overly confident about being head of the student council, as if it were already planned for him to be in charge. Even though he had no idea how to get to the headmaster's office, he believed he would somehow get there with no problems.

Brienne brushed her hair out of her face again with her wing. Its plush feathers tickled her nose during the sweeping motion, almost causing her to sneeze. Sniffing to contain the reflex, the harpy rustled her plumage to cover up the sound. Good job, Bri. You're doing so well already. Though the man's first words to her were rather blunt, bordering on rude, she couldn't fault him for it. She did nearly plow straight into his back. Instead, she kept her amicable smile. No reason to start the year with any bad blood, right?

The next thing Sen said caught her off-guard. Prince... of Hell? Strange that a prince wouldn't go to his own special school for royals or the social elite. Instead he plopped down among a band of students and teachers that ran the gamut from semi-normal to that strange Cerberus-creature. Plus they even let her in, and she hadn't attended any school before. Really though, she didn't care about his status. Brienne didn't live in Hell, after all. Furthermore, if they were both students, he didn't hold any rank over her that way either.

Flapping her inky wings, the harpy took off once again, filling the hallway with an occasional breeze. The... was he a devil or a daemon? Was there a difference? Probably. Making a mental note to ask someone about it later, she listened to the last statement Sen made. He planned to be the leader of the student council? Fair enough. Brienne herself had no designs on a specific spot, she simply wanted to participate in something.

"Wait! I'm headed that way too, we should go together." Plus there was someone right here to ask for directions! Adventurous though she was, Ms. Showalter had no intention of wandering around until the time limit was up. Turning her attention to the glam rock lady, she queried, "Do you know where the headmaster's office is? I, erm... accidentally tore my map."

Bellatroix simply chuckles at the somewhat blustering attitude of the demon prince. She took no offense, and why would she? It took something more significant than mild disrespect to rile her. In fact, it may have had the exact opposite effect. As she begins to respond to Sen she is cut short by a sudden gust and the sound of flapping of wings. Her long stringy black hair managing to cover her eyes. As she uncovers them and looks over to the source of the wind she finds yet another student. A harpy no less, and seeming be rather lost.

"Worry not, child... accidents, they happen even to the best of us." She says, simply amused at the girl's clumsy entrance, then realizes that she has yet to introduce herself. "Oh dear, so rude of me, I am Beau Geste Bellatroix, but any shortening of it is acceptable."

She takes a courteous bow, like an archaic noble, a habit learned when studying human customs back home. As the poignant prince and haphazard harpy made short conversation they began heading off for the headmaster. She smirked thinking how amusing this may become, such contrasting personalities intermingling. The boy had already claimed leadership after only recently taken foot in the halls. This is going to be a fun year.

"Oh, I will be teaching botany by the way, I promise it will be funducational! Perhaps even a bit... humbling... for some." Her tone is jovially sing-song at this point, then droning into cryptic, a look of guile upon her face. "Anyways, take care children, try not to get into any trouble."

There was always one student who questioned the value of the sparring class. This year it just so happened to be the headmaster's boy, bringing an evil grin to Kaen's face. He gestured to the ring and watched as many of the students made a path for Randal to move through.

"Be the first to enter the ring and find out." The ring itself was enchanted by Karen to erase any and all fatal damage that is done inside the ring. If (and when) someone would die in the ring they are knocked out instead, but with the full appearance of harm. Pain was still present and minor wounds wouldn't be stopped, but that was all part of the fun.

As Randal entered the ring Kaen tossed him a school training sword then held one sword up for the class to see. Anyone want to challenge him to a friendly brawl? The winner of this match gets 1 Silver star and a free magica act from yours truely."

He made the same offer every year he has been a teacher, and helping the winner was always fun. Last year the student saved her act until hallows eve and asked Kaen to conjure up a party, which in the end shut out that nights dance. Monstrum wasn't happy with that but got over it shortly after.

Shame looked over from the boy to the warlock. She saw a student enter the ring and smiled. She rose her hand as markings appeared on her skin. "I will challenge Randel to a brawl..." She stood from her seat and walked over to the warlock and held out her hand as he set the sword in her hand.

She gripped it tightly, closing her red eye as she entered the ring. She could smell his aura, which only made her smile, her canines poking over her lips. She pulled her hair up in a high ponytail, leaving down her bangs and got into a stance, her feet promptly side by side, both hands on the sword and faced her opponent.

She hopes that the sand and flames don't go out of control...

Sen had to admit, the Harpy's little sneeze was quite, cute. Usually the Demon was one to be quite flirtatious with all species and genders. It was more of a game to him than actual attraction or love. If he wanted to sleep with someone he had to be attracted to them though, he himself being quite vain only allowed the best looking to lay a hand on him in that way. But at the moment, he was still trying to get over the fact he was at the school in the first place. Being a bit of a whiny baby would surely annoy someone eventually enough to kick his ass. "Brienne and Beau." Sen muttered to himself, making a mental note of the two females name.

He couldn't help but roll his eyes at what seemed to be the Botanist teacher's remark on how great her class would be. We'll see. He thought to himself. Well at least he now knew he was right about Beau being a teacher. Despite her quite laid back attitude he could sense that authority vibe she probably unintentionally gave off. Maybe that was just her height again? Nonetheless he continued down the hallway, looking at the signs and navigating his way around.

Until the Harpy could be heard calling out from behind him, followed by another gust of wind, messing up his hair once again. His face turned sour and it was clear he was annoyed. Letting out an irritated sigh, he fixed up his hair once more, and turned slightly to look at the Harpy. God she was so dopey he thought. The teacher had already left for her question to reach her and now he was stuck with her. "Alright alright, just enough with your flapping if possible. You keep messing up my hair." At this point, Sen was too bothered to be mean to the Harpy, exhausted perhaps? When they get to the office, his energy will be back up again.

He walked silently, slightly glancing down at the Harpy from time to time but that was about it. The Demon was concentrating on the signs and how to get to the Headmaster's office. He was growing more annoyed however as he noticed he had passed a certain classroom twice already. He could already imagine the Harpy suggesting they ask someone for directions which he'd reply with I'd rather claw my eyes out. However, surprisingly he was lucky enough to overhear a conversation between to male's; all he heard was something to do with the council or something relevant. And so his brilliant plan was to follow them, and so he did. "Ha ha! That wasn't so hard, if you stick with me you'll never get lost-" He cut himself short from bragging as he realised he pretty much told Brienne that she could hang around him? Or at least that's how he saw it. He just shut up completely, cocky smile fading, and kept looking forward.

The two stopped at a door, one of them quickly opened it and everyone was inside. "Damn, three people here before me." Sen cursed to himself. He wanted to be the first but he wouldn't have made it in the first place is it weren't for the two other students.

Sen felt a bit uneasy as he could already sense the mixed species and the vibes they gave off. Their aura's were all different and he had never been in an environment like this before. The other Demon in the room caught his attention first is it was something he was used to being around. Sen wondered if perhaps this Demon would remember him or know of his status. Hopefully he would, it would be nice to get some royal treatment after being without it for roughly twenty minutes. "I just wanted to start off by saying that I think I would be the best option to lead the student council." It was far too quiet for his liking, everyone was just staring at one another, being weird and stuff. Besides, he wanted everyone to know how confident he was. Sen was getting a bit excited now, he was pretty pumped about the student council idea and there were a lot of attractive faces in the room, even more fun.

Running a little behind after being distracted by a squirrel, Jodhal ran through the hallways. The two heads, Jodac and Dae, argued with each other about going in the wrong direction as they did so. Vhal, on the other hand, was too occupied with the dead squirrel held in his mouth.
Finally, they had made it, the doorway labelled 'headmaster' was in their sights. Hopefully they weren't too late. Believing they had no time, Jodhal ran straight through the door, bursting into the room, skidding to a stop perfectly in line with the other students. "We're here for the student council sign up thingy!" Dae stated, not realising that it hadn't even started yet. "Oh, cool we made it." he smiled with realization.

Finally, the aspiring council members has appeared, and what a variety there was. All of them ranged in morphologies from a harpy to a demon, this could lead on to an amazing student council. If they all had the ability to do it. The worst case scenario would include all of them being incompetent fools, which could be a high possibility when it came to Imdius' consideration. Sadly, there were more than three, which would make this even more annoying, Imdius happily agreed to this because he thought it would be a simple job to do, after all, who would want to be in the student council? Apparently these guys...

Wait. Imdius thought as his mind fell back to think about the narration some more. Demon? Looking straight over towards the source of the demonic energy, Imdius instantly recognised the familiar figure. Sen Jumin... A sudden smile spread across his mischievous face as the demon prince heir made his egotistical statement. Ahh! What an amazing time to be a teacher! I was gonna give up teaching and go start world war three by convincing Putin to press the big red button! But that can wait! This little shit is here! How amazing! As a teacher, I can order this little shit around, I can scold the bastard if he starts acting like a dick! As Imdius was thinking all of this, he was already moving quickly through the room, seemingly dancing as random objects came into appearance around him. A desk, computer, phone, it was as if he was making plans and working on some kind of administration in such speed, typing away faster than anyone could, talking on the phone in some sped up voice. I'll have to put Putin on hold. Oh, but I don't want to loose such a great customer, I want him to summon me again. I'll just tell him to collect the seven dragonballs and wish for immortality in case it takes too long. That'll do! Oh, but I wanted to go back to hell to see my wife and three kids, it's been such a while... Imdius continued thinking to himself as he played with the strange floating equipment.
Suddenly, he stopped. The equipment quickly disappeared into a puff of smoke which mixed in with the smoke from Imdius' cigarette as he continued smoking away. "Wait, I don't even have a wife and three kids... He spoke out loud, not realizing it as his mind came back to reality, his smile returning to his face, this act threw Imdius into some strange pose; Leaning back on nothing, fingers pressed against his forehead as his other hand cupped around his elbow. Everyone could even see the SFX 'COOL MODE ACTIVATE' appear over his head as a small giggle was emitted.

"Now now, little boy. That kind of attitude is not that attitude of a successful leader. After all, we need to take all participants into consideration; I am Imdius! PhD in whatever-the-fuck-I-want. I'll be in charge of the student council and your science teacher."

Back in the hallway Bellatroix paced to her classroom with arms behind her back and a perpetual grin across her face. This was her first year as a teacher, but she wasn't nervous, she was quite ecstatic. She opens the door and walks in, closing her eyes and holding out her arms as a nightmarish assortment of flora decorating the entirety of the room reach out and encircle her with their branches and vines. Twisted and gnarly as if from another world are some but others with fruits and flowers bright and beautiful. The sound of rustling leaves and gurgles fills the room.

"Remember, you are not to harm the young ones when they come." Her tone with strict conviction as one of the vines wraps around her right arm like a snake, ever so controlled that it seems entranced by her presence, as do they all. In the very back of the room a thumping sound emits from a very large and foggy glass container. She glances back at the container, a piercing gaze with eyes lit with an unworldly glow. "Especially you, or do you wish for another pruning?" The thumping stops and the container is silent, the strange plants apparently have some basic animal instincts, fear among them.

She walks over to her desk and sits down in a large, durable, but incredibly comfy conference chair, legs sprawled out over the armrest. It creaks with her weight which seems many times greater than her current appearance depicts. She pulls out a phone, looks at it to see if there's been any messages then puts it down and begins tapping, her long nails making a fascinating rhythm against the metal . As she waits a garden snail crawls across her desk, dropping recently from one of the large plants. Her gaze fixates on it before snatching it up and immediately scarfing it down, all in one swift fluid motion. Her face shifts to one of concern as she looks at her hand, her grin fading at a realization, a product of her nurture aspect.

"Oh dear, carnivorous students..."

Bella finds herself shaken suddenly from her thoughts. A chill up her spine, a literal chill. Why was it getting cold? She glances over at her plants as they shiver and curl. Then as soon as it begins, an explosion of air pressure bursts open her classroom door causing the creature walks out into the hallway to hunt for the source of the disturbance. As soon as it erupted it began to die down, the feeling of warmth coupled with the melting ice creating something of a damp and humid atmosphere, incredibly comfortable to her. "All it requires is some peat and moss," she thinks to herself.

She steps around the broken glass and fallen light fixtures, not that it would hurt her much as it was more the miasma that would leak from her blood. It would derive no level of pleasure to accidentally cause illness among the student body. Nurturing them back to health, however, would be a different story.

As she finally makes her way to ground zero she notices the awkwardness in the air, a gathering of some shocked onlookers and an embarrassed fox boy off to himself under a broken fixture. It took no lengthy level of deliberation to figure what had transpired here, to her in any case as the aura she felt earlier radiated from Xue like a smoking gun. She steps over to him, the disparity between their heights made her almost have to kneel down to get on eye level.

"Do not fret, child, we all slip up, our nature is not something we can bottle away forever." She says softly with an understanding smile.

The overhead light fixture cracks loose from its bindings and drops down snapping the thin wires. At the very moment of its descent a black and white blur zips past between them, gripping the metal construct before it makes impact. A long barbed and banded tail in black and white had wrapped itself around it, upon further inspection it was in fact originating from the base of Bellatroix's back. She had never shifted eye contact with Xue and maintained her smile.

"All that matters is that... that nobody was hurt, including yourself." Her focus breaks briefly with the crack in her speech. She softly places the fixture to the side then stands up and looks back at the gawkers. "Now, isn't there a place y'all need to be?"

Image 'Heheheh I got it'. A victorious snarl curled from Gem's thoughts becoming a satisfied smile shown on his face. Of course he got it. He was bound to after all he carried more with him than fluff and a cocky attitude. Gem was a genius. His greatest achievement this round was playing nice with Xue. "He decided it this time around. If anyone else had met him first I'd have lost."

Gem turned towards Xue, finding it appropriate to show his appreciation towards his vote only to be hit with a blast of icy air. Glass exploded violently, followed quickly by the burst of the light bulb flinging glass into Gem's fragile all too human-like flesh. Gem flinched and staggered back feeling frost form on minute hairs along his arm as he covered his face. Blood trickled from points at which tiny shards buried themselves into his skin. "Fuck!" He cursed.

Veins popped out at his temples and around his eyes as his ghoulish nature switched to self defense at the drop of a hat. The color seemed to have been drained from his face and hair giving both a dull dead look while his eyes became black marbles painted with small maddened looking red pupils. He grimaced bearing a row of jagged shark-like teeth that seemed to fit together like a puzzle when he chomped down and became flesh tearing saw blades when ground together. Glass glittered in the air as it fell from his skin like sparkle dust powder, shoved out of his skin as it healed. He shook his head, the bones in his neck crackling like firewood as he glared sidelong at Xue a playful grin on his lips. He very clearly wasn't the same Gem that gave him friendly tips on greeting before.

"Oi oi oi, that's dangerous, Xue you could hurt somebody." He said in a quiet, taunting tone. "Such power, you might blow half the school away." He swayed on his feet before squeezing his eyes shut as if trying to remember something at the tip of his tongue. Gradually the color came back to his face and he shook his head. Gem took a breath still looking a bit pale and resigned to staring into space for the moment, not bothering to explain his sudden switch. "Such a pain." He muttered to no one, making no sense to anyone but himself. In his head replayed a moment that never occured, the moment when he'd leapt across the room to bury his teeth into Xue's throat, snarling threats and insults as he burrowed his fingers into the open wounds, clinging to him like a giant spider feeling his very fingers grow stiff as near instant frostbite crawled from their tips.

After a moment passed he spoke up. "Is everyone alright?" By then another teacher seemed to have made their appearance drawn in by burst that had come from Xue. He stared nonplussed by her appearance that the strange barbed tail she used to catch the falling light fixture that had previously blown glass into Gem's face.

Rook was a bit sad that he didnt make it on the council, his impression had always been that it usually consisted of quite a few people and not just three. But never the less at least he could still use this as a reason on why he was late and not because he was true to his nature and looking at his nicely organized hoard in his dorm room. Honestly it was just now occurring to him that there had been another bed there and he probably had a roommate. He would need to go back soon to move his things or just leave them there and see how the other felt. He would fight for the wardrobe though, fight to the death over it really since it was a lot nicer looking than the closet. While some of the others displayed reactions to the very sudden decision about who made it and who didnt he had been lost in thought about maybe redecorating. So his reaction to the sudden glass of death attack was one more of annoyance than that of fear or surprise.

The cold he hadnt even noticed, he was a silver dragon, his kind relished in the cold and technically were more powerful in it. It was something that always felt nice, relaxing, and made his blood swim with call from his ancestors. It really had been a long time since he had been nice and cold since everywhere was just always warming up so easily. But the smell of fear from one of the others had the blood from his mothers side of the family race loudly in his ears. He couldnt help it, Rooks eyes started to look like his natural eyes as he started to transform back. He smelled delicious, he smelled so warm, and it smelled like prey ready for the taking with little fight. Rook stood and started to make his way to "Gem" or whatever when he was snapped back by the appearance of what seemed to be another teacher. It surprised him enough to calm himself enough to look more human again, the scales on the back of his neck and his eyes turning back to how he liked them. Looking around from a moment Rook shrugged before softly putting his hand on Gem's shoulder. With a smile he said "Congratulations on getting Leader, I hope you find it fun.

Academically, Sen wasn't really that strong. Physically though he was a quite powerful demon with much hidden talent waiting to be unlocked. Because of his I don't care unless it's fun attitude, he wasn't very smart or battle smart either. It was why he was sent to the school in the first place, his father was disappointed in how far Sen hadn't come. He was a spoiled brat really who could get what ever he wanted. Well, not anymore, his father had really just thrown him into the deep end, thrown him into an environment he had never experienced before.

Randomly, a three headed dog beast entered the room which caught him off guard. Compared to Cerberus these three seemed like pups to him. They were an interesting trio. And now it seemed the meeting on deciding the student council members, could start.

Sen stood there, letting all eyes fall on him from his statement which he found nothing wrong with. He stood up straight, arms crossed, it was obvious he was very confident, too confident. Very cocky and rude. Thinking leading the student council would be a quick way out of the school seeing as how he knew his dad would be checking on him from his home. If his dad saw how well he could lead, he thought he'd pull him out of this dump. The Demon watched the red haired Demon, waiting for his response. He seemed like a smart ass really, a wise guy, someone who loved to joke and tease others and Sen at the moment hated that. He raised a brow at the Demon, wondering when he was going to stop showing off. Until he finally spoke, to Sen. So his name was Imdius. "Little boy??" Sen muttered. That was quite belittling and annoying. He had been called something belittling twice now today and it was getting on his nerves. He simply glared at Imdius. He knew if he acted his usual self right now, his dad would send someone to privately kick his ass. However it wouldn't be hard for Sen to forget this and do something stupid.

The Harpy, Brienne then spoke up and attempted to impress the teacher. He was quite surprised by her courage to speak out in front of everyone, she didn't seem like the type. Then again she had no trouble speaking to himself earlier. A smile almost formed on his face with admiration, as if he was the cause of her selling herself like that. Or perhaps it was something else that made him want to smile? Wait no, Sen you are a broody brat. Yes, he furrowed his brow, a bit intimidated by how much Brienne had to offer. He was starting to re-think how he opened himself. He didn't think it would be that hard really, he certainly underestimated everyone. Sen noticed however, that the Harpy's feathers were now fluffed up; so she was nervous after all, but she certainly hid it well.

Another student spoke up, one he hadn't paid much attention to when he first entered the room. Well hadn't paid attention to really anyone really but anyway. He looked very human but Sen's senses said otherwise. There was more behind that composed mask he wore. And those purple eyes, how alluring they were. He watched him carefully as he stood up, shook Imdius's hand and that last part. That was what Sen was looking for. Of course he could hear what he said clearly. But it was true, he had to admit being a Demon himself, all he wanted to do was be entertained and have fun. Which is why his father threw him at the school. Yeah it would be a while before he got over that. Sen couldn't take his eyes off the male, Gem Kenji he introduced himself as. But he also hated how much he talked himself up. Even more than the Harpy. "Show off.." He muttered under his breath, looking at the guy now with a bit of a snarl. It was obvious that Sen was growing quite jealous of the students around him and he didn't know how to socialise really and win the love or interest of others. He really didn't know what to do with all these different kinds of people besides act like a dick to them unless they were kissing his ass. Anyway, Imdius didn't react aggressively like he had thought he would, he simply stared into the male's eyes with a bit of a creepy smile then sat back up without a word. He was probably used to it.

Another spoke up with a statement simple like his own. Volunteering to be secretary. He was an interesting looking guy, he was quiet and straight forward it seemed; he kept to himself but seemed quite happy. Sen didn't know what to think of him, he was quite mysterious really and he hadn't mentioned his name yet either. Come to think of it neither had Sen.

Just when he had thought everyone had spoken, another spoke up. He had kept himself hidden in the shadows until now; he had striking features that were quite attractive in his opinion. His snow white hair and crystal blue eyes, it was hard not to stare. Sen turned slightly where he stood to get a better look of him and watched him as he spoke. Xue the Alpha Pup of the Western Kitsune Tribe? He didn't know whether he should feel intimidated by the fact there was someone of similar social status to himself. Or if he should feel relieved that there was someone who would understand him and his situation. The more he spoke though the more Sen learned of how he felt about this guy. Why wouldn't someone of his status not want to be the leader? Was he being humble or did he think he was too good to be leader of something so little as the student council? Sen was confused a lot when it came to others intentions, he had to remember not everyone was as cold as himself.

He now found that Xue was an intimidating character in the sense he was a threat to Sen. And he had to admit it struck a nerve when he bluntly put out his opinion on who he thought should be the other members. Sen simply glared at him. How could he not think Sen would be the best option to be part of the student council?

Sen randomly could smell something quite foul, alcohol and eggs? That had been fossilised then brought back from the dead. A very distasteful smell. He wrinkled his nose, unaware of the strange thing that caused the smell and once it slipped away the smell was gone. How odd, he thought, too distracted by the situation at hand to pay it any more attention.

And then, finally, what Sen had been waiting for. Imdius started speaking and announced who would have what position and was part of the student council. "What?!" Sen exclaimed, surprised that someone of his class wouldn't be the leader of the council. "He's going to be the leader??" He simply looked from Imdius then to Gem, simply shocked and surprised. And very annoyed. Although he hadn't to admit them three were the better choice, he was still bummed about not getting what he wanted. It really punch a hole through his pride. Sen didn't really know what else to say, he still couldn't believe a fellow Demon would choose them over the soon to be Prince. All he could do was give everyone dirty looks.

Sen felt something pat him on the shoulder which pulled him out of his vicious thoughts for a moment. He looked to his side and noticed the Harpy was trying to comfort him. He didn't care about any other position of the council, he just wanted to be the leader, so he wasn't cross with Brienne, mainly Gem. And the teacher. He let a short, slight smile slip through before feeling a bit belittled by the fact he needed comforting from a Harpy. It was difficult for Sen not to look down on others. His smile faded, he didn't say anything in reply for a moment, he was just silent. Until Imdius caused the three headed dog to leap out the window. "I'm surrounded by idiots..." He said out loud to himself, feeling the need to face palm at the dogs well, dog like behaviour. He shouldn't have thought highly of the beast to begin with considering its appearance and obvious qualities, the way it spoke and acted, it really was like a big pup. In reaction to the beast however, he felt something suddenly smack him in the face. The Harpy's wing lowered and a quite frozen expression was revealed. He wasn't expecting that and it surprised him; wide eyed as his expression slowly changed to very annoyed. "God dammit Brienne!" It was a bit humorous he had to admit, although he didn't show he was amused. Sen once more fixed up his hair, removing strands that had gotten caught in his mouth and entangled around his set of horns. He calmed himself then grinned at the Harpy. "It's alright, guess I should get used to it." He didn't exactly want her to think he was a complete grump.

It was then that Sen felt a sudden change in temperature. The following events happened so quickly he honestly didn't know how to react to it. He wasn't afraid nor hurt, even if he had been struck by glass or zapped slightly with electricity, simple things like that didn't really hurt him as much as others. Perhaps all the action happening around him distracted him from any true pain, adrenalin kicking in. He was in a defensive mode as he looked around the room to see the cause. His eyes landed on Xue who managed to quickly get control of his abilities, is powerful outburst. Sen looked around at the others, curious of their reaction and condition; most were shocked while Gem was changing to something he hadn't expected of him. So that was what was hidden behind that delicate human-like face. Sen smirked at the male as he too held himself back, letting out words unnatural for what everyone thought of him. The other quiet male in the room suddenly approached Gem with quite hungry eyes. Sen watched, interested in what he was going to do, seeing how he was interested in the blood coming from Gem's face. However to Sen's surprised, he simply congratulated him, composing himself. The Demon raised a brow until he noticed the teacher he had spoken to earlier comforting Xue and also stopping quite the hazard with her long tail. He always saw her as quite the strong figure when he first met her and even more so now as she was not fazed by the hazard, keeping eye contact with Xue.

Everything died down and everyone seemed calm once more. Sen simply stood there with his arms crossed. "Wow. I thought I had problems. No wonder my dad sent me here." He said out loud to no one in particular. Letting out a sigh he followed Beau's words and left the room. "What ever. I'm going to my dorm." And with that he was gone. Uncertain if he really wanted to go to his dorm or to class, he didn't know where either were so, it depended on which he found first.

Smacking someone in the face, she'd prepared for. Enduring words, she'd also prepared for. After all, how much could relative strangers possibly know about her to make their words effective? What happened over the next few seconds threw any confidence about every person in the room out the same window that cerberid vanished through. She briefly heard part of Sen's words before a frigid chill swept up through the wing that collided with Xue's body. Like the birds they resembled, harpies had an average body temperature of degrees 40 Celsius, or 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Direct contact with a blast of air below freezing sent her entire wing numb. Also unlike humans, her thin legs lacked thick musculature to keep her body light and aerodynamic. All great for flying. Not so great when being bulldozed by a super-cooled aura. Veins and arteries wound around hollow bones and close to the thin, scaled skin of her legs and feet. Whether it was simply her proximity to the blast, or her more more fragile physiology, the harpy's legs also immediately went numb and stiff, right up to the part where her bird legs seamlessly melded into her human body at the upper thigh. Her right wing felt mostly fine, as did her torso. Glass from the shattered window barely missed her, but the light fixture's sharp shrapnel slammed into her numbed shoulder. Blood oozed from the cuts sluggishly.

When the aura retreated, her iced skin burned from the rapid temperature change. Clamping her jaws firmly shut and furrowing her brow to keep silent, Brienne did her best to make it as inconspicuous as possible that she still couldn't feel her legs. Unfortunately, life has a tendency to kick you in the (in this case metaphorical) nuts whenever it can. Moving her wing to try and brush away some of the glass embedded in her feathered skin proved enough to unbalance her, and she tumbled over backwards, falling onto her ass. At least she didn't land on more glass.

Again, the next things that happened passed by almost too fast for her to form an opinion on them. The lavender-eyed guy's countenance twisted into something absolutely inhuman. Gem metamorphized into something even more monochrome than Xue, his eyes shifting to a deep pitch with crimson pupils. They shined, almost glassy, with an emotion she didn't even want to place. When he opened his mouth to speak, visions of sharks and other deep-sea creatures came to mind. A valley of knives scraped against each other in his maw. That definitely explained why he attended a school for monsters. Brienne's dark eyes opened wide, and she scooted herself backwards with her working wing, dragging her legs and body along with it.

Like a phantom, Bellatroix appeared in the area. Bending from her huge height to look the kitsune in the eye, she gave off a vibe different from her appearance. Taking a moment to place it, the harpy realized it reminded her somewhat of a leech, though she couldn't tell why. Above them, the light fixture creaked again, then outright fell out of the ceiling. For fuck's sake. Snakelike, Bellatroix's tail snapped out from her back and grappled the thing before it even hit the ground... without looking at it. Brienne paled visibly, the strangeness of everything taking away from the pain in her shoulder.

Right. The harpy decided to leave everything after 'joining student council' out of her letter home. To her right, Sen said something that she missed most of, more preoccupied with everything falling apart around her. She waved a friendly goodbye to him, determined to not seem weak in front of people so much more powerful than herself. "Bye, Sen! I'll see you later."

With that taken care of, the harpy stared at her legs. The split second of frigid wind put her out of commissioned that easily? Rubbing at one with her non-frozen wing, Brienne took stock of her other wing. Not just cold, but pain radiated out of the spot where she'd contacted with Xue's face. Feeling slowly leeched back into that shoulder and further down the limb, and the harpy pulled it closer to her face. Pausing trying to warm her legs back up, she noticed that ever since she'd fallen down, she'd begun shivering slightly. Not for the first time, she wished harpies had an easier time regulating their body temperature. Temperate environs were the only ones that worked well for them. Poking around through her left-hand feathers with her right wing, she eventually put eyes on the aching part of her wing. The skin there turned an angry red shade that spread across a few inches at the least.

Tired of sitting on the ground, Brienne shook her left wing until the most of the feeling returned. With a few strong flaps (that pushed her a bit further from the group) she lifted off. Trying to keep the wind from her wingbeats contained proved mostly futile. Each flap sent a jolt of pain through her arm. Suddenly she remembered the glass shard poking out of her shoulder. With her wings busy keeping her from landing on the ground again, the harpy turned to the last tool she had. Turning her head at an awkward angle, she reached her tongue out to turn the shard a bit, then gripped it with her teeth. Yanking it out tore the cut a bit wider. Spitting the bloody glass shard out on the ground, Brienne awkwardly waited.

"What?!" Sen exclaimed, surprised that someone of his class wouldn't be the leader of the council. "He's going to be the leader??"
Oh the words of an annoyed, ignorant royal demon. It was just like music to the ears of Imdius, granting him a deep smile of both mischief and satisfaction, it really will be a great time this year. There's just so many ways in making Sen's school life a misery, at least it will give him a good reality check.
"Now now, kid, you weren't chosen simply because you were an ignorant little shit. If I was some employer and you were trying to work for me, not only would I turn you down. I'd also-" Imdius' educational words were quickly interrupted by the sudden 'explosion' of freezing temperatures. The frosted air pushing hard against his face, inducing some kind of flashback, back to the battle of stalingrad. It was such a nice scene, death, destruction, suffering. Imdius gained a good portion of his power from that scene, never making him regret 'permanently' moving to the human world...

... And then Imdius returned to reality, the SFX, "Good times~" hung above his head. His face made it obvious that he had zoned out for most of the scene, smiling happily before dropping back to realization. Glass dotted around everywhere, the harpy was sitting on the floor with a bleeding wing, Beau somehow turned up, Sen disappeared and Gem seemed a bit pale. "Now then!" Imdius clapped his hands together, dismissing the surroundings and past actions he had missed as he decided to continue his job. "The three student council members, you guys, will be staying to meet the headmaster.. He explained before turning to Beau,
"Mister Gem, Mister Xue and Miss Brienne have successfully made it to the council. They were just gonna meet the headmaster." He explained, his faced seemed a bit disgusted towards Beau. "Actually, why are YOU here?" He clicked his fingers three times while waving his arm in a zig-zag line down his body, his other hand held firmly on his hip as the sassy swag came back to the surface of this red demon. Of course, he didn't even notice Rook, still present in the room.

She looks around at the other students noting mostly minor injuries. A wounded shoulder on Brienne, the ghoul Gem who healed through some form of transformation. The hunger in his eyes was somewhat... familiar. This must be what sets her hair on ends, yet another creature pulled between two different natures. She takes a mental note to monitor this one especially. Aside from this, the air is ripe with feelings of dejection from some of those that didn't make it into the council, it was almost intoxicating. This was especially true of Sen who was particularly disgruntled. She crosses her arms as if she were feeling a chill, efforts to stave off her nature. Then she heard Imdius speaking her.

"Oh I see! Well then, congratulations are in order!" Bella responds turning to the three given them a warm smile. She then notice of the wound in Brienne's shoulder and gasps. Almost cartoonishly, her eyes widen with shock and places her hand over her mouth. "Oh dear, Miss Brienne, child, you should have that looked after! We needn't such things become infected.

She then feels a sense of resentment towards her presence by her fellow teacher who questioned the purpose of her presence. She places a hand on her hip and looks back, swaying her tail to and fro in a sassy manner. She turns slowly and rubs her chin, feigning ignorance. She feels a bit of mischief brewing inside of her, and this was a chance to have at least some fun.

"Why, little ol' me is ever so not certain, mister Imdius." She speaks sarcastically with an overly heavy faux Southern belle accent. "Honestly, waiting for several days... er... I mean hours is quite boring and... well, can't let you hog all the excitement. She gives a wide knowing grin and plays with a lock of hair.

And besides, some of us are trying to keep the student body from tearing itself apart."

If Xue was wanting a dramatic reaction, which he really wasn't, then he had gotten exactly what he wished for. Several things happened in succession; pain flooded the Brienne's scent, faint traces of her blood mingling into the air, along with the chemical and metal scent of human blood from Gem. Bird blood - prey blood. Any other time, he might have had to stop himself from dropping into a hunter's crouch. But this time, far overriding the Hunt instinct, was the Defend instinct, triggered from a fierce, low snarl that rumbled in someone's throat. Xue's eyes snapped to Gem, the source of the sound, only to meet red eyes. Xue shifted his weight forward, instantly adjusting to the new situation; situations in the wild could change rapidly, so unlike trying to make the council, this was a situation he could adjust to easily. He faintly turned his head to the side in an offering of apology, and then returned Gem's red-eyed stare with his own, brilliant teal eyes narrowed.

"Oi oi oi, that's dangerous, Xue you could hurt somebody. Such power, you might blow half the school away." Gem growled.

Xue lowered his head a fraction, showing a flash of teeth in warning for the lower-ranked to mind his place, a low growl rumbling in his throat. Wether because this side of Gem understood this warning which would only fractionally make it through to a human or by coincidence, Gem's eyes widened a bit, the red disappearing, and he leaned back from the position he had taken.

It was then that Xue noticed the one who smelled like lizard eyeing Gem much in the same way he himself would the river during salmon season... like a buffet. Xue reevaluated the scents on the air. Fear, traces remaining from Gem's blood, and bird blood... his eyes darted over to his right, to see the Harpy girl on the ground, shivering like a leaf even though the hallway was already back in the 60s with the absence of the cold air - only being kept down by the thin layer of frost that coated here and there.

Xue frowned, and with one quick step was next to her, easily lifting the girl to her feet, not saying a word, since he didn't exactly know what to say. He watched like a hawk as she seemed to assess the damage done to her. Xue knew all too well how fragile bird wings were; he'd crushed plenty enough of them between his teeth while hunting. He just hoped hers were sturdier than the little songbirds that hopped around the forests.

Senses on high alert, he easily scented the newcomer to the scene as she came closer to him. Too close - he snatched her wrist before she touched him and gave her a pointed look, glancing back at Brienne as she began flapping her wings, feeling the strong push of air with each downward stroke.

"Do not fret, child, we all slip up, our nature is not something we can bottle away forever." She cooed at him. What was it with people and trying to coddle him today? First that guy who told him to go to the nurse (what was a nurse anyway?) when he had randomly thought Xue to be injured, and now this woman. Did his demeanor not scream 'wild arctic kitsune' enough? No, that couldn't be it. He just destroyed a large waiting room and iced several students, by accident. You really couldn't say it any louder than that. They must be insane then. Xue gave her an appraising look, one thin white brow arched quizzically upwards.

Xue heard a crackling sound, and then the lights fell off the ceiling. The teacher caught it with a sudden appendage, without even looking, just staring at him with that same smile.

... Creepy.

Xue leaned around the woman to glance at Brienne again, already taking a step forward when he noticed her eyeing her bloodied shoulder, but was stopped short by the woman placing a hand on his shoulder. He had to try really, really hard not to freeze her because oh great orion Creepy Lady was touching him. Didn't she know you weren't supposed to touch semi-feral animals, no matter how intelligent they were?

"All that matters is that... that nobody was hurt, including yourself. Now, isn't there a place y'all need to be?"" The woman continued, addressing the last bit to the crowd, and now he was trying really, really, really, really hard not to give her frostbite. She didn't seem to notice. Xue decided he deserved an award for Patience with Humanoids.

Idmus clapped his hands, drawing a quick glance from Xue. "The three student council members, you guys, will be staying..."

Xue tuned him out when the scent of Brienne's blood grew stronger again, the scents of most of the other students growing fainter, and finally Xue brought one of his own hands up to remove the female teacher's, because she obviously hadn't noticed that another student was bleeding fairly heavily. Well, for a bird student anyway. Birds' hearts beat faster, so it made sense they would loose blood faster too. That had to be stopped, before any idiotic session of teacher trying to play mentor to the kid with 'control issues'. If only she knew...

Xue walked over to Brienne, ignoring the female teacher completely now, and turned towards Idmus. After all, it wasn't like he himself could do anything; Kitsune healed too fast to ever really need medical attention, and he doubted she would appreciate the normal fox way of doing things that involved licking the wound clean."The meeting will have to wait until later. The Harpy has to get her wound healed." He informed. "Let the leader meet him first; we'll drop by later."

He had a feeling taking her there himself was going to destroy his chances of ever getting that female teacher to leave him alone, for some reason. Unfortunately, he couldn't exactly let Brienne go alone; it was his fault the bird had been hurt, and the scent of her blood would be enough to overwhelm some breeds with lesser control if she passed them. No, the bird couldn't go alone, and it was his fault. As an Alpha, it was his duty to right his wrong and make sure the weaker one would be alright.

Damn instincts. He was gonna be stuck with the annoying teacher fawning over the 'kind little fox boy' until goddamn graduation, wasn't he?

It was only then that the female teacher noticed Brienne was hurt, and dealt with it by telling off Idmus in a strange accent.

Yup, that woman was definitely crazy.

The fight unfortunately did not last as long as Kaen had hoped. Technically by his own rules, Shame won the bout with a single strike to Randal's back. A potentially paralyzing hit if the spine was severed, and she did not use magic to attack only to move so she had not broken the rules. However the fact that she was not in full control of her magic troubled him, and showed just how much she needed more training.

Randal however had just broken Kaen's rules, as he was about to attack with a powerful magic strike and Kaen was not having it in his classroom. His movements were enhanced with a quick spell as he appeared next to the two sparring students and moved his hands faster than they could possibly react to. In his open palms was piece of sticky note each with a seal drawn on them. These he slapped across the cheeks of both students and sent them flying into the far wall with great effect. The enchantment of the ring would follow them long enough that neither would have lasting wounds but they might ache for awhile afterwards.

"What the hell do you think your doing? Both of you, see me at my magic dueling class tonight 2nd Period. For the record Shame won that fight. Now, all of you get out of my classroom!" He bellowed the last part at the entire class and from the look on his face it was obvious that "no" was not an acceptable answer. As soon as he finished the bell for the end of the period rang and so began passing period.
