Tamagakura used to be a normal town until 500 years ago when most of the populace turned into vampires. It is a small valley town in southern Japan. Most of the vampires cant move around at day since all pure blood vampires and those who were turned into vampires by the pure bloods can burn to death at broad sunlight. Only those who became vampires under special circumstances may show themselves during day time. These vampires are called daywalkers and are the guardians of the town. On the hill above the town is a school for vampires, many vampires from all over the world come here to learn. Many of the attendees at the school come from rich vampire families. But recently there have been threats coming from vampire hunters. They want to target the village first, then the school but it might be hard due to the number of pure bloods at the school and the guardians of the town, the day walkers. Even if the vampire hunters attack at daytime, the daywalkers will be waiting since they never sleep. Daywalkers are something new to vampire hunters and they are careful since it isnt known how strong the daywalkers really are. Until now school will go on as always.

The school: It has a large school building with classrooms for 1000 students ages 12 to 18. It also has a dining hall, a cafe, a large courtyard, a gym, a rooftop hangout and a blood bank. Next to the school building are four dorm buildings. The rooms depend on how rich the families of the vampires are. For example: Non-pureblood normally get standard type rooms while pure-bloods live in luxury. Note: Not all purebloods are rich. Minions/servants often have to share rooms with five others of their kind. Dress code: During class students have to wear formal clothing (dresses and suits).
