Personality: To his friends and his people, Thorin is a respectable and beloved leader. Whose nobility and impressive courage is renowned amongst the Dwarven Clans of Middle-Earth. To others, Thorin is sometimes seen as too stubborn and too proud, and at times a bit overbearing. Still even among those who do not claim allegiance to Thorin, respect his impressive combat skills and his ability to inspire his followers. Thorin is also a clever and resourceful leader, as seen when he made a makeshift shield of an oak branch to fend off Azog and his Orcs. Thorin is very polite and civil towards those he meets.

Despite his better qualities, Thorin is also very suspicious of others and is immediately mistrustful of all strangers he meets. Fortunately, Thorin is a good judge of character and once proven, he is much more respectable of said person. Even so, he sometimes will speak ill of others when they are not around. He can also become very obsessive, whether it be finishing his quest or coveting over hoarded gold.


Attributes: Being a Dwarf, Thorin is naturally much more hardy than an average man. Making him more resilient to pain and disease, of course this does not mean he is completely immune to all ailments. Thorin is an experienced and skilled warrior, trained in the use of many weapons, particularly the sword and shield. Thorin is a competent commander in battle, able to see advantages in situations where most only see what is in front of them. He is also skilled in wilderness survival and trained in Dwarven smiting techniques.

Bio: Thorin Oakenshield is the rightful heir to the Throne of Erebor, his mountain home. He was cast into exile however, when the Dragon, Smaug sacked Erebor in order to take it's vast treasure hoard for himself. Many Dwarves and Men from the nearby city of Dale, where killed that day as the Dwarves moved in a mass exodus out west. During this time he lost both his Grandfather and his Father to violence and grief and was forced to lead his people at an young age. He never forgot that day Smaug took Erebor and vowed to reclaim it for his people. It wouldn't be until many years later when the Wizard, Gandalf the Grey, approached Thorin with a proposition, to retake Erebor. Yet, it would not be with an army but rather with a burglar. A burglar that would steal, the Arkenstone, a sacred jewel that would solidify Thorin as King Under the Mountain. Therefor, the other Dwarven Clans would have no choice but to recognize Thorin and come to assistance in retaking Erebor.

Thorin agreed, and formed his company made out of thirteen Dwarves whom were either brave enough or crazy enough to challenge a Dragon. It was then he met Bilbo, who would become a true friend to Thorin than even he would realize. With Gandalf in tow, the Company of Thorin Oakenshield left the Shire and headed for Erebor. It was during this quest that many dangers would present themselves. From Trolls, to Goblins, to Wargs, and worse of all, Azog the Defiler, sought vengeance on the Line of Durin. Still without fear, Thorin persevered and etched ever closer to his destiny. That was until he was ripped from his world to a new one, all but alien to his own. Can he survive? And can he return home?
