General Appearance
Beau has been called handsome by many a granny back home and his cheeks seem permanently rosy from all of the pinching. He always has a smile on his face and is usually seen acting jumpy or moving swiftly from board to board or problem to problem. He's pretty tall, but tat's just his good genes talkin'. His southern accent is pretty prevalent, much more so than his sister. And his style is pretty modern. He tends to wear the geekiest t-shirts he can find, but when he's not in that he just layers solids and calls it a day. Did I mention that he has massive spectacles? Able to see a kinked wire from a mile away, but they're a small prescription anyway. And his body is all lean muscle. Him and Evanne understand the importance of physical fitness and are regular workout buddies when she actually does it at a decent hour. He needs his beauty rest.

Personality
Beau has always had a lively personality. He has that typical southern charm that he's never afraid to use. It's got him out of more mischief than he could shake a stick at and hasn't failed him since he was in diapers. One bat of those baby blues and you might as well kiss your free will goodbye. Not that he would ever use that for evil. Under that mischievous and playful shell lies a heart of gold and a genuine sense of humor and wonder about the world. It's why he got into computers and electronics in the first place. Along with a fascination with it's complexity and capabilities, he loves puzzles and anything that can challenge his smarts.
The exact opposite of his twin sister, she keeps him grounded and is absolutely the most fun person to poke and prod until they EXPLODE.

History
Beau has always been fascinated with learning how things worked since he was in little diapers. He'd take apart his toys and, much to his mother's dismay, her appliances, just to see the working bits inside. But he knew just how to get out of trouble. His mother always said that he had a silver tongue, the God of mischief himself come to curse her for all of her wild and crazy days, but she always smiled when she said it.
Once he got to high school age, his twin sister started to act out more. She had problems sleeping when she was a child, but it grew into full blown insomnia by the time they were seniors. Never sleeping can effect mood drastically and Beau found himself doing whatever he could to make her smile, even for a little bit. She was brooding already, but the medicine the doctors gave her never helped much and it only made her more irritable.
This was made even worse for both of them at the sudden death of their mother right after their graduation from high school. A car accident, which luckily managed to take her quickly, instead of suffering for days in a hospital. He never remembered smiling much during that time. Evanne hardly spoke. The mourning period was hard on the both of them as they had no father and their grandparents were long gone. But with Beau's wits, and some help from their mother's life insurance, he was able to put them back on track.
Soon they were in college. He for electrical engineering, while Evanne was off learning to be a mechanic. He excelled at his classes, but his worryfor his sister always pulled him away, much to her chagrin. Pretty soon they both graduated...barely. And were off to find their own adventure together, putting out separate adds that just so happened to be answered by the same band. And the rest is history, really.

So begins...

Sammie felt exhausted, for one. She'd been on a flight since 3 p.m. the previous day, just to get to where ever her band was for their gig. She couldn't keep track, and was too tired to take the time to look it up on her tablet, a white Ipad Mini. That little thing was her best friend during this job, and she couldn't have been more satisfied with it. It even had little games for her to play when she wasn't sleeping on a plane, bus, or car.

After going through an exhausting trip through the airport, she grabbed her car keys out of the little basket she was required to place them in, for checking, and booked it out of the way too-crowded building. She was slightly annoyed, not only because of being swiped by those policemen, but because she sat next to a young mother, and a newborn the whole way here. Sammie was sure she was already a mess, but without sleep, she'd crash. So, with a messy bun, and red eyes she grabbed the biggest cup of coffee she'd had in a while, and booked it on over to the band's gig site, at least that's where she hoped they'd be.

Sammie was kind of nervous about working for the band, in general. With the rumors going about Roni, she didn't know how exactly they'd been reacting to it. Sure, she's their agent, but she'd been gone away, sealing up the last of the end ties for this whole rock tour, off in another state. So, she'd been gone for about a month and a half.

She finally arrived to the band's gig spot, and thank god, they hadn't moved on yet. It looked like they were either getting ready to leave, or had just gotten there and hadn't set up yet, she couldn't quite tell. Pulling up next to the van, she parked, and hopped out, her legs a little tingly from starting to fall asleep from the long drive. After stretching momentarily, she whipped out her faithful little Ipad, and threw her backpack on her shoulders, and headed towards the buses to see what exactly was going on with the band, coffee in tow.

Johnny had napped for a good two hours on his flight, alone. Sammie had gone who knows where to do something about the tour, and he'd gone to a meeting with his boss about a possible future tour, if the band continues to see success throughout the current tour. He liked his job alright, it paid the bills, and.. he got to see her.

Roni. Oh, Roni, was the light of his life for almost 3 years. He'd had a major crush on her in highschool, then finally had the balls to ask her out, and dagum, she accepted. They'd dated for the almost 3 years, and then she found Chayton. He'd never cared for him, but Johnny didn't hate Chayton. He hadn't given him reason to, until he noticed Roni paying more attention to him. Now, he doesn't exactly go out of his way to make Chayton happy.

He scratched his forehead rather seriously, his hair in it's usual spikes, and his jeans their usual dark color, with a few wrinkles in the upper thigh area. His and Roni's old anniversary was coming up, and he was more than excited. He loved her, and that may be the only thing he was damned sure of.

Johnny, a little late, arrived at the gig location, and as scheduled, the band hadn't left yet. "Right on time.." he muttered, as he ran a hand through his thick hair, and grabbed a clipboard from the passenger seat of his truck, a black F-150, the latest model. For only a brief second, he smiled, at his earlier conversation this morning with Chayton, or Sunshine, as he'd called him. As Johnny walked towards the buses, he noticed Sammie's car, a bright aqua blue Ford Mustang, with two white stripes on the hood, and roof of the car. Shaking his head, he chuckled, and was interested to see what the band had been up to as he'd been gone.

Evanne suppressed an aggravated moan towards the glorified bucket of bolts she schlepped this band in to God knows where in the country. It's been getting on her last nerve for a few months now and she's not looking to get any new ones in. Her messy black hair was piled haphazardly on her head while she worked. Most days she thought of just chopping it off, but if her saltiness didn't drive every man away already, her boyish coif certainly will. She had her future children to think about. Not that she ever had any dream of having them. Sleep deprivation can do a lot of awful things to the body and she doesn't exactly take care of herself. She'd be surprised if she had one good egg still floating in there.
One positive thing she can attribute to her perpetual lack of sleep is the exuberant amount she is allowed to spend on whatever she damn well please. Her high physical fitness and expansive knowledge of engineering, engines, and more was attributed to.
But all of that counted for jack shit right about now considering the damn circuit on the electrical panel was fried. Lights have been wonky before but she chalked that up to laziness and now had no other choice but to handle up on it. She kicked the tire and plopped herself down, gathering herself before she did what she knew she had to, call her brother over. Don't get it twisted her brother was a genius when it came to all types of electronics, but these situations always played out the same. He'd be smug at the fact that she needed his help to work on a vehicle, but then turn around and constantly ask questions about the rest of the vehicle. He made no sense.
Evanne wiped the sweat from her brow and laid her arms on her propped up knees. She wore thin sweat pants, even though it was still quite warm, but all she wore on top was a black sports bra and a frown. If beau saw one more grease stain on a shirt he bought her he'd throw a hissy fit and she really didn't feel like hearing it. She traced the lines of her tattoo on one arm absentmindedly and let her mind open for just a little while. She's been up for about 36 hours now, but managed to put in hours of tinkering and exercise in between drives and gigs that she never went to. Uninterested. She was hopeful that she might actually be able to sleep tonight. God Bless the person that ever woke her up from a "nap" as she calls it, she's busted many a ball for less.
Rolling her eyes at nothing in particular, she hoisted herself up, got a quick sip of water and went to go find Beau so that they could get the show on the road. She walked through the bus first even though she knew he was more than likely inside or by her car. He was so lucky he got that privilege. She passed several band mates that she merely nodded to. She can't really recall having more than a few words with anyone actually in the band so she kept it brief most of the time. She grabbed a jacket from a small closet where she kept spare items and let down her hair, not bothering to brush it. Eventually after some searching she found what she was looking for.

Image
Beau was placing some of his equipment into the back of Evvy's car. The band was planning on playing shows, mostly because it was a band, so electronics always had to be tweaked. Audio always had to go through and everything had to be perfect. No one said it would be easy doing the thing you love, but he'd always been a hard worker. His light grey t-shirt and dark jeans felt heavy on him since he'd been working most of the morning after he woke up so he pulled a shirt out of the back of Evanne's car and had just taken his grey one off in exchange when she came stomping up, looking as cute as a button. But she's always looked cute when she's mad. He laughed as he was sliding on his clean black shirt.
"What's got your panties all in a twist?"Forgetting who he was talking to, "Forget I asked"
Evanne mocked amusement but got to the point quicker than usual, "The electrical panel on the bus needs some TLC and a wire needs to be re sectioned and re soldered."
Beau was feeling positively giddy as he reached into the back seat where he had just sat his tools and grabbed his portable soldering gun, a handful of wires, pliers, and his gloves. He followed close behind her as they made the short walk back to the bus from her BMW.
"So does this mean that you actually need my help with a vehicle?" Giddy couldn't even describe his euphoria. IT had been a couple of months since Evanne had asked him for anything and he was going to milk until it was dry.
She gave a short "Can it." before she lifted the panel leading to the electrical panel. "All I need are these two wires here...and here, to be re soldered. I also need this wire to be replaced up to this point, as she pointed to about a foot above where the wire had been attached to the motherboard. "Think you can handle that Sparky?"
Beau smiled at her and nodded his head as he surveyed the damage to the wire. It looks as if it ruptured from over stimulation. Since this was the particular wire running the head lights it made sense, they had been traveling quite frequently lately. He grabbed some plastic wire connectors from his pocket and began putting his gloves on. "Shouldn't be a problem sister dear," he said letting some of his southern drawl eek out, knowing it would get under her skin. It did. She squinted her eyes, but eventually rolled them and blew out a breath and leaned her head on his shoulder. " I think I might actually be tired. Tired and dirty."Her nose scrunched up slightly and he smiled at her and kissed her forehead. "Go wash up Evvy, I'll handle this no problem so we can be on the way. We should be moving within a couple of hours, but I'm sure you could squeeze a nap in if your'e up to it." He always worried about how her sleeping habits, or lack of, affected her health so he always tried to remain optimistic about the promise of sleep. Beau watched his sister sigh softly and lift her head up before squeezing his arm and pulling up the corner of her lip, the closest thing to a smile she gives on a regular basis. "Here's to hoping". His eyes followed her into the bus where she entered the bathroom before he got down to business. He could do this kind of stuff blindfolded, but he took his time. He liked doing things to lessen Evanne's workload whenever he could and it made him feel good to help her. Too soon, though, he was done and shut the door to the compartment. As he walked back once again to her prized BMW to place his tools inside, he shot her a text saying that everything should be up and running.

Secrets. That was the life MacKenzie Marbles now delt in. Her music career was short lived but she did love it while it was there. No one remembers her as 'Kenzi'the pop star. When she was at the height of her popularity, she met this guy named Frances Morgan. He was a french camera man who introduced her to her true love. Film. She loves the way that capturing real life on film can change people's view.

She sat on a park bench across the street from the bus. Instead of sitting like a normal person did, she had her feet on the seat and her but on the back part where people usually rested ther back up against it. She brought a joint up to her lips and took a long drag. Her blue eyes stared at the tablet that sat on her knees. The one thing that her subjects weren't aware of was all of her hidden cameras and mics that she had added to the bus when they were off at a show.

Right now she couldn't see Viv and Em, but oh, she could definitely hear them. She blew the smoke out. "Well, well, well. This... could be very fun."

ImageImage
Kenzie finished her joint and turned off the tablet as she saw Em and Viv climbing out of the bunk. She put it into her bag and pulled out her hand held camera. She pulled it out and turned it on. She made her way back to the bus, smiling at the Harkin siblings as they worked on the van. "Hey guys. I want an interview with you two later!" She said aiming the camera at them so she got a good look at their olive toned gloriousness. They could be models if they had wanted to but she got the sense they were too down to earth.

She turned and stopped when she ran into Nico. "Hello there. Nico, got anything you want to say about that little rumor about Roni? I doubt it's true but it would be better to hear it from you rather than the person behind the camera." She gave him a flirtaious smile. She suspected a few things about him. She was positive he was a user and she was almost certain he was gay. She also knew he was not about to come out. But people would start to ask questions.

ImageImage
Mac saw Sienna behind Nico. She winked at her. She didn't see any harm in behind friendly to everyone. It wasn't like she couldn't get just about everyone into bed. It's not like they needed a forcing from her. Who wouldn't want her? She waited until he responded to move on to the bus. As she was climbing up the stairs, she noticed Sammie arriving. She gave her small way then continued on.

And there was viv all alone. Emma must have gone off to the bathroom or something. "Hey there, darling." She said to Vivian in a sultry voice. She aimed the camera at the keyboardist as she finished off the bowl of cereal. "What, not gonna share with me?" She teased her, coming to sit next to her. She smiled when Emma came back. She grinned at her. "Well, there you are. Good morning."

Johnny sighed as everyone seemed to pile in the bus, and as his usual worry wart self began pacing around the bus. Until he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. A door slightly open. He peeked through, and then he nearly fainted. "R-Roni?" He asked as the door slid open, timidly, standing outside the door, his eyes looked wide, and he clutched the clipboard tightly, until his knuckles turned white. Roni was leaning her head on Chayton's shoulder, and when the door opened, he saw her peck Chayton's cheek, Chayton moving his head just in time to come eye to eye with Johnny.

"Am I interrupting?" He felt his brow deepen, and his teeth tightly bit his bottom lip. "I'll see you later then, babe." He grunted, and his face started to feel warm. Johnny slowly backed out of the doorway, shutting the door behind him loudly. He then went to the exit of the bus, and left, almost running over Sammie.

Out of all the things he didn't want to see, of course he had to see his girlfriend swooning over that stupid Chayton. He hated him. Chayton could have any girl he wanted with the snap of a finger more than likely. And why? Not only because he has a good paycheck, double Johnny's, but just because he's the lead... whatever he was. Johnny couldn't even think straight at the moment. Maybe he was blowing this out of proportion, but, who could tell? It's not like he's been fucking faithful to Roni for 3 whole years, in a day.

Sammie had finally made it up to the bus, and was just about to enter, when Johnny came hurtling out. "Johnny!" She squealed, nearly dropping her coffee. She grunted as he just kept walking, but then felt a twinge of worry hit her. Why was he so mad? He'd just been so happy to come see Roni. Hadn't he even waved to her?

Shaking the negativity off, she boarded the bus to find the band mates sprawled about everywhere. "Good Day, you guys." She announced to everyone, as she wasn't still familiar with names quite yet.

She saw who she thought was Viv, Em, and... Kenzi? They all seemed to be giggly, so she walked over to see what's up. "What's so giggly?" She asked a little quieter, but loud enough for them to hear. "C'mon now, I don't want to be left out." She smiled, crossing her arms, and sitting on the top of the couch, watching them with interest.

“I’ll set up a press conference once I’m sobered up.”

Roni laughed sooftly, shaking her head. "Yeah, and maybe some sleep?" She nudged him with her shoulder. "You want me to make my hangover remedy for you?" She asked. She never drank but when she did she never drank enough that she was hungover in the morning. That wasn't the case with the others on the bus. After so long together, she had perfected her hangover remedy. The question was if they had all the ingredients.

There were other things on her mind though. He was so close to her that it was hard to concentrate on their conversation. Had they ever been this close before? She let out a soft sigh, hoping to dismiss some of her tension.

“You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that, Veronica." Roni's cheeks turned red. Even when they first met at her audition, he never called her that. He was the first one to come up with her nickname. "Sorry, guess I'm still hung over."

ImageImage
She snorted. "I think you mean drunk, buddy boy." But then something changed in the way Chayton looked at her. What did that mean? After giving him a peck on the cheek, she turned her attention to the papers to her hand. She opened her mouth to answer him but that's when she heard Johnny's voice. "R-Roni?"

Roni's head snapped up, staring directly at her boyfriend. "Johnny?" She immediately stood up, dropping the papers in her hands and on her lap. She was so excited to see him. She hadn't seen him exceppt for Skype dates in two months, twenty nine days, and about twelve hours. Yes, she had definitely been counting. Things were so much easier when he was around. She could focus on him and not her crazy emotions.

"Am I interrupting?"

"No! Of course, you're not. Chayton was just talking to me about-" She stopped when she saw that look on his face. Betrayal.

"I'll see you later then, babe."

ImageImage
"No, Johnny wait!" She said as he slammed the door behind him as he left. A pang hit her and made her feel like she would crumble to the floor. She glanced back at Chayton, unsure what to say to him. He had never felt anything for her, she knew it. That's why she moved on. It would be stupid to keep pining over him. "I'm sorry," she said and hurried after her boyfriend.

She nearly ran into Sammie on her was after him but she side stepped at just the right time. "Johnny, please wait it's not what you think I swear!" She didn't look at anyone around her. No one mattered but Johnny as she flew off the bus after him. It was hard to run in high heeled boots. Why the hell had she kept them on after the show?

Roni grabbed his arm and pulled him back. She made him face her. She reached up and placed her hands on his cheeks. "I swear I was just being nice. He's like a brother to me. There's nothing there. We were just talking about that stupid rumor. And he said he was going to clear it up and take care of it so I thanked him. I'm so sorry if you thought it was anything more than that."

She stared up at him, praying he listened to her and he wasn't too angry with her to listen. But she didn't give him a chance to say anything. She leaned up and planted a rough kiss on his lip. She closed her eyes and pressed her body up against him. Her lips only left his when she was panting for breathe. "You've been gone for two months, twenty nine days, and probably thirteen hours by now... Don't you ever leave for that long again." She opened her green eyes and looked up at him.

"Hello there. Nico, got anything you want to say about that little rumor about Roni? I doubt it's true but it would be better to hear it from you rather than the person behind the camera." The words jarred Nico from his self-induced mental isolation, and he turned to get an eyeful of bright red hair, blinking wide eyes, startled for a long moment before he cleared his throat, bringing his hand to his mouth. He let his face fall into the comfortable fake smile he'd been mastering for years, turning to the camera in Kenzie's hands.

"Of course it's not true. Even if it were, the music industry's gotta learn that just 'cuz someone does solo work doesn't mean they wanna leave their band. Hell, I write some songs on the side, does that mean I'm gonna run off and start my own band? Hell no! This is our family. Silent Serenade has been around for almost half our lives now, it pretty much is our lives. And we're each other's best shot at going anywhere else in life. I think Roni feels that more than any of us. She'd never leave us," Nico finished with a pointed look into the camera before Kenzie scampered off again with a wink to Sienna a dozen yards back.

He sighed, turning back to Sienna to bum a smoke, and smile at her, a grateful tiny smile, before he leaned into the nearest vendor stall and ordered two coffees. He remained leaning against the counter until they were ready and he handed one over to Sienna, looking at her between drags of her blue Misty 120. (Definitely not Nico's brand; he preferred American Spirit or Nat Sherman, Mistys were pretty much just bitch cigarettes as bad as Virginia Slims, but Nico was bumming, so he wasn't going to be a chooser.) They didn't really talk. Nico liked Sienna, but didn't have much to say to her.

"You're damn good with a bass," was all Nico could really say before Beau entered the scene. He smiled as he approached.

"Hey there! Haven't seen you two in a while. You especially Nico. I feel like it's been forever since we said some fine hellos! So how's it going? Anything good here? I'm starving!"

Nico gestured to the cigarette in his hand, "I came for coffee and cigarettes, man. I haven't been hungry since yesterday." He shrugged, then screwed up his gaze and pointed to a stall a couple down, "They had really good funnel cake and pastries, though, I remember that much."

Sienna raised her eyebrows and shook her head, she gestured to a different stall. "Get yourself something real to eat, don't take this goon's advice. He wants to get you fat." Nico shot her a glare.

"But I'm good," Nico said with a little more conviction than he needed to sound convincing, "Bus trouble really sucks. How's Evanne taking it? How're you?"

Sienna received the wink from Kenzie, returned one of her own, and raised the pinky on her cigarette while she mock curtsied at the woman before she disappeared, off to do whatever it was she was off to do. She rolled her eyes a little at Kenzie's question about the band breaking up; they'd never be anything but rumors. Sienna was damn sure of that. If anything in this world was a constant, it was definitely Silent Serenade.

"Can I bum one of those?" Nico asked and Sienna gave him a half-quizzical look, but retrieved her pack of Mistys and slid one long, thin, white cancer stick out to place it between his fingers. He gave her a slightly more genuine smile in return while he turned away to light it and she, maybe, thought a little better of him in that moment.

They smoked in silence until Nico once again broke it, "You're damn good with a bass." Sienna looked a little startled, cocking her head to the side and gearing to respond, but suddenly Beau was right there and she couldn't do much besides shrug off the compliment as she turned to Beau.

"Hey there! Haven't seen you two in a while. You especially Nico. I feel like it's been forever since we said some fine hellos! So how's it going? Anything good here? I'm starving!"

Sienna had to bite back a chuckle at that- Nico thought he was keeping secrets avoiding people, but she and everyone else saw the avoidance loud and clear. He was the only one who didn't realize everyone else knew that he'd duck behind corners to stay away from his own friends and bandmates.

"I came for coffee and cigarettes, man. I haven't been hungry since yesterday. They had really good funnel cake and pastries, though, I remember that much." Nico pointed at a stall a few down which Sienna snorted about.

"Get yourself something real to eat, don't take this goon's advice. He wants to get you fat," she said to Beau, which earned her a glare from Nico.

Rain pittered and pattered , falling on the dense canopy of a forest. Nocturnal birds called and were answered. The forest floor crawled with life. All things that slithered and creeped crept were awake. A single lit window as all of civilization that could be seen.

A dull , squishing thump echoed in a steady theme through the underbrush. A thunderous crack broke the night in two, the birds stopped calling, the forest froze as if holding a collective breath. A soft thud. The breath was exhaled.

Brad opened his eyes slowly. He wasn't in the jungle anymore... He inhaled the musty, stale air, the bus where the band stored all the sound and light equipment had always had that stale taste to it. He sat up with a groan from his makeshift cot that was little more than cloth draped over a frame with milk creates for supports. Pushing a hand through his messy blond hair he let out his held breath. ' What time was it...' He glanced down at the faintly glowing hands on his watch. 02:34. He could tell the bus wasn't moving, the band must have wanted to stop and stretch their legs or something. He stood an d shrugged on his usual clothing, a light kevlar vest and a plain black t-shirt. He probably wouldn't need it but it had become more of a habit than anything else to wear the light body armor, besides it's not like it stood out 'that' much.

He patted down his jean's to check if he had anything, wallet, multi-tool, sidearm, lighter and smokes. His mental check list checked off each box.

He left the opened the back of the bus carefully as to not smack anyone with the door.
A few of the other roadies were hanging out by the back door, gossiping as normally for the road crew to do.
" Mornin" He said as he passed, giving a small wave while he walked. He'd probably go find something to chow down on.

He followed along the side of the bus, seeing some of the band members outside, smoking.
It looked like Nico , he seemed sullen about something if brad had to guess.
He gave them a waves as usual as he walked to the closest place to grab a cup of coffee and a sandwich or something.
