Re: [OOC] Mutation! A Pokemon RP.
Yes, many questions will be answered as the story progresses.
-I've read all about Pokemon Black and White, but since I don't play the game I don't have the level of knowledge/experience someone who does play has. But for roleplay sake I will be more than happy to do more research when necessary.
-It should depend on not just the species of pokemon, but also the pokemon itself. IE, A pikachu in the wilderness would probably act more like a pokemon, whilst the Pikachu Ash owns would probably act more on the human side if altered. But there's limits. I.E, the altered pokemon shouldn't be able to talk like a human, etc. Keepin' it realistic.
-As long as the story stays interesting and professional, and overall the people roleplaying in it are content with whats happening there is no line. If I find the content taking a down-toll on the roleplay, I'll push it in the right direction or bring it up in OOC. Also, people are free to PM me with complaints/opinions, which will be considered ^_^
Re: [OOC] Mutation! A Pokemon RP.
Apparently the human-Pokemon hybrids in this game are created by injecting human genetic matter into a Pokemon during the moment of evolution, thus throwing a wrench into the process and ending up with what has come to be known as a "gijinka." A novel way to go about it, to be sure, but it still leaves many questions unanswered, questions which I hope to see answered over the course of the story. Among these:
-How familiar are you with the new moves, items, abilities and monsters introduced in Black and White?
-When creating characters that were subject to this clearly unethical practice, where should the line between feral instinct and human rational thought be drawn? Does it depend on the species of Pokemon used?
-Who or what is responsible for these experiments, and are they a force to be opposed by their own creations?
-I see from the rules that just because it's Pokemon doesn't mean that questionable content should be glossed over. (As a matter of fact, in the manga one can see such things as a Hitmonlee kicking an Onix so hard that its head falls off, to say nothing of the butchering that 4Kids has given to both the episodic anime series and the various movies.) What I'm wondering is where the line should be drawn in terms of such content, in both magnitude and frequency.
