These are the songs that relate and inspire the inner workings of Devone. I would describe their themes as a mixture of struggle, strength, loneliness and independence. Enjoy!

Personality
xxxxDevone's personality begins at her being a Classist, repulsed by the poor. She strongly believes those who are in troubled financial circumstances are lazy and irresponsible, undeserving of pity. Not only does she look down on them but toys with them as the classic victim, tricking and tempting them with money deals in their time of desperation earning her the titles, Ursula and Loanshark. Ask her about it and she'll justify her actions, the blame falling back on the victims for their naivety.

xxxxUnsurprisingly, she is sadistic finding delight and hilarity in exploiting others. The sense of control when a strategy is implemented and goes according to the plan has an almost adrenaline like effect on her; a thrill she can’t quite explain. However winning a chess match or any other competition does nothing for her; she has to win in a match that ruins lives. With the stakes raised and the unpredictability of human behavior, comes the thrill she craves. Devone also appears apathetic to the costs and damage to individuals involved in the scheme, no matter how long or how far the game goes. In fact, she'll drag it on and worsen matters if it's interesting enough.

xxxxDespite her malicious behavior, she isn’t a real psychopath. Those she cherishes like her family has her undying loyalty and respect. Devone is willing to go to great lengths even if she'll have to make sacrifices to keep her loved ones happy, healthy and safe. Unfortunately, her loving side is rarely shown to those outside the Kim bloodline. She is cautious to place trust on anyone else, preferring to break others than to be broken in a dog eat dog world. It might even be argued that she isn't truly sadistic and apathetic but that she has convinced herself to be, adjusting after key experiences.

Image|Strengths|
Networking/Strategic Thinking
xxxxFor a young girl of her age, she impressively succeeds in building connections with those seated in high places internationally when the opportunity arises. She refuses to suck up to advance the social status/wealth ladder but knows well how to appeal to interests in a way that benefits her. Equipped with such connections, Devone could get away with murder.
Perceptive
xxxxShe can detect even the smallest detail in appearance, habit or behavior. Her observational skills come in handy when she is socializing, catching people off guard. It is almost as if her vision goes beyond 20/20 matched with mature insights.
Spunky/Stone face
xxxxShe has an indomitable spirit, the will to overcome anything and be subdued by nobody. A formidable presence make her a force to be reckoned with. Devone also wears a complementing mask that reveals none of her emotions even under high-pressure situations.
Silver Tongue
xxxxLying, manipulating and public speaking. If her networks fail, she'll talk her way out.
Violinist
xxxxShe can play many classical pieces off by heart beautifully, tutored the instrument since she was able to carry one. Devone stopped playing after her mother died because it was her who encouraged it the most.

Weaknesses
Emotional
xxxxHer moods fluctuate from one thing to the nextImage by the most trivial daily triggers and it is easy for her to be overwhelmed by stress. It is a wonder she manages to bottle it behind a pretense of security. However, after everything she does and goes through it makes sense.
Holier-than-thou
xxxxDevone will never take the fall, always resorting to placing blame on anyone else even if it is far from the truth. Even in her head, she will continue to justify and reason it. Due to this, she never really acknowledges her shortcomings and does little to improve as a person.
Workaholic
xxxxShe has many secrets surrounded by a crowd of connections who don’t really like her for who she is but because of her family’s name and reputation. They are more focused on the power of such an influential family and without it, nobody would give a care in the world. Knowing this much about the reality of networking in her current circles, she is always striving for independence and giving herself worth.
Clueless in Romance
xxxxShe has been in numerous fleeting relationships never going further than first base (French kissing) but falling in love and risking her heart in the process, she has never done. Secretly she would like to have a sentiment of love but she is also afraid of the susceptibility of interfering with who she is and her independence.
Chili
xxxxShe can’t endure any hot, spicy, chili food. Devone would lose her composure wholly upon consumption of the substance.

History
Image
Why she's a Classist—
xxxxShe took pity on a homeless man she encountered on her way home from school. Day after day, he was always there and getting skinnier as he occupied the sidewalk with a gloomy expression as if awaiting his impending death. With the desire to help, she gave the man a taste of wealth that was enough to sustain a good living for a time. Unfortunately, she came across the man once again a year later and followed him to see the good she had done. Her expectations were wrong, seeing into a brothel where the man began drinking and treated women in a disgusting manner. From that day forth, Devone was disgusted by poor people altogether exposed to that at the age of 14.
Why she's Cruel—
xxxxDevone used to be an average girl in a close-knit circle of friends who went out every weekend doing something new. However, her outlook on friends changed when she accidentally overheard them talking about her with spite. It turned out they were all along jealous of Devone's looks, wealth, and generally happy lifestyle and were only acting as her friends to gather secrets to eventually spread and ruin her. That was when she decided that two could play at that game, getting her revenge and enjoying it. She tried to dust the matter off as befriending the wrong people but it was as if she was on a bad luck streak in friends. Everyone was out to get her behind the smiles on their faces. Concluding that the world is just cruel, she decided to be the cruelest. Never again would Devone hand out her trust so easily but many times over would Devone plan more schemes for entertainment.
Why she's at Airdalen, Japan—
xxxxDevone entered Airdalen Academy in her Sophomore year after leaving America behind to chase the mystery surrounding her mother's suicide. Her mother, Chia, was written off as a suicide when her body was discovered floating at sea after Seung received a letter with her last goodbyes. Devone and her father were grief-ridden, the loss coming as a shock to the both of them. They were a happy family as far as she could remember and her mother’s death as suicide didn't make any sense to her. Devone studied the letter with suspicion, comparing it to the many other papers scattered around the home to see if the handwriting truly matched her mother's. After sending the letter and papers to specialists, her doubts were proven correct meaning the suicide story was fabricated and making it easy to deduce the suicide was in actuality a murder. With this evidence and her wealth, she tried to persuade the authorities to continue investigating the case but they wouldn’t budge. Either they were lazy or someone much higher up was pulling the strings. With her own contacts, Devone decided to investigate further following up on every lead that eventually brought her to Japan.

ImageImage
Family

xxxxHer family name Kim is primarily attributed to the success of the Kim Airlines brand that entered the aviation market long before she was born. Their logo is of a lotus. As a lotus grows from muddy water, it achieves even in difficult circumstances. It was chosen to represent how the company gives a guarantee of delivering on their promise of safe flight.
xxxxThe company is more successful than ever under the management of her father Seung Kim, branching out to provide aircraft for the military. He resides in the United States and while he doesn't approve of his daughter's move to Japan, lets her run free.

xxxxHer mother Chia Reizei's family name is primarily attributed as descendants from the Japanese clan who was a powerful family of regents.
Regents were titled Sesshō (摂政) appointed to act on behalf of an emperor before the coming of age and empress regnant. They were also titled Kampaku (関白) when acting as a chief advisor to an adult emperor. During the Heian era, they were the effective rulers of Japan. Little else is known about the ancestry with the clan spreading out from Japan over time but there exists a library within Tokyo created for the preservation of the eight centuries of the regents’ documents known as The Reizei Remembrance Library.
xxxxThe Shoguns (将軍) as military dictators became the de facto advisors or rulers as necessary after the Reizei family moved on. Still, the Reizei ties to the Emperor are alive. Even though it has been many centuries since a Reizei took the Emperor's ear if Devone wished, she would be welcomed as next in line for the advisor position as Reizei blood.

Residence
ImageImageImage

xxxxDevone lives with two men who serve as her bodyguards, drivers, right-hand men, both specifically and carefully selected to protect and assist her in investigating her mother's murder case. The contrast between the two men is almost laughable; one coming from a career as a policeman and the other a criminal.

xxxxGoro Watanabe was recruited by Devone for their mutual interest in the murder case. Goro was one of the officers assigned and it greatly annoyed him that the police department dismissed the case so quickly and carelessly. Devone offered him the job noticing Goro's disappointment in his current line of work, relieved to find another who also believed that her mother did not commit suicide. Devone won't admit it but he is the closest company she has to a friend.

xxxxIsaac Vanburen was on death row for his crimes too numerous to count, ratted in by his own family. If not for their testimonies, he never would have gotten caught and that is what earned Devone's interest. His meticulous nature along with his experience made him a useful ally if he would comply. Facing death, he decided following a girl around wasn't a bad deal. Devone bailed him out and his criminal record was wiped clean. Devone doesn't trust him completely but he's continuously demonstrated loyalty and obedience.

"You're quite the hairdresser, Goro." Devone's fingers softly wrapped around the handle of an antique hand mirror, retrieving it off her bedside table to admire her dyed black hair in its reflection. Goro, one of her bodyguards, stood beside the bedroom door standing at attention like a soldier awaiting orders. In comparison to Devone, he was much more tense and serious as expected of a bodyguard who was trusted with the responsibility over another's well being. With a long-term client such as Devone, trouble followed everywhere. He could not afford to be distracted or so he believed and stood by in principle. "Tell me.." Devone twisted a strand of hair around a finger, pursing her red lips while checking that her makeup was impeccable. "Were you employed as a hairdresser at some point in your life? Or had a wife or daughter of your own?" Goro gave no noticeable reaction, growing used to accommodating his client's interest in prying into the affairs of others. "My sister's daughter was entrusted to my care, at some point." Devone turned around to look over at him, her long dark locks of hair falling over her shoulders in the graceful movement. She smirked, "Interesting." Devone looked mischievous, her eye color enhanced by contacts that created a glossy glow. Goro hoped she was not getting ideas for a scheme that would involve his relatives.

The door to her bedroom was budged open, their small talk interrupted by the presence of Devone's second bodyguard Isaac. Devone and Goro's eyes looked away from each other to acknowledge him should something be amiss. "The limousine is ready." he announced, his slight fringe shifting to cover one of his eyes. His gaze moved from Goro to Devone before he bowed his head, "Apologies for the intrusion." Isaac had forgotten to knock. Devone sashayed over to Isaac, her demon costume tightly hugging the curves of her body and the heels of her long black boots echoing her every step. At first glance, she was just another wealthy teenage girl about to leave for the academy's dance. To her bodyguards however, she was anything but just that. Devone's step paused as she reached Isaac, heaving an audible sigh between her lips. "You disappoint me." Mirror still in hand, she held it up and smashed it over his bowed head without restraint. Isaac's eyes widened and he felt his body freeze in place, caught by surprise. Goro closed his eyes, saying and doing nothing unless instructed to. Devone dropped the shattered mirror onto the floor, bits of broken glass scattered from Isaac's form to their feet. Drops of blood started to drip from his forehead but Isaac didn't flinch, taking the ordeal in stride. "Have this mess cleaned up." Devone referred to both the glass and her disappointing bodyguard before she departed from the room with all her femininity and grace intact despite the harsh punishment she had just delivered. Goro and Isaac were left alone for the time being, to follow through with their boss' wishes.

Moments later, Devone was seated in the back of her black hummer limousine with her hands folded on top her lap. Goro was selected to act as driver tonight, Isaac seated on one of the side seats in the back with her. He had two band aids stretched across his forehead as a consequence from the shattered glass but besides that, he had been all cleaned up to appear presentable enough. Devone's posture was dignified and perfectly straight as she had been raised but Isaac was slouched over with his eyes intently focused on the floor. Sitting in complete and utter silence was adding to Devone's boredom. "For a criminal, you're soft. Speak." she demanded, glaring at Isaac for a response. The bodyguard sat up attentively snapped out of his thoughts realizing she had a point. "Why did you bail me out?" She cackled immediately, finding the question absolutely ridiculous. "Fishing for compliments on your past handiwork in order to feel better?" she belittled him, her eyes turning to look outside the window as they passed by common folk in Halloween garb that she deemed cheap, nowhere close to the quality of the couture one she wore tonight. Dressed as a tempting lust demon suited her and there was not a chance in hell that she would have complied to dress as Ursula to play along with her prestige school's personal nickname for her.
"I'll tell you what, I'll answer your question if you answer mine." Devone suggested, crossing her legs and returning her attention to the silent and oh so obedient bodyguard.. "A man was released from prison and his criminal record wiped clean.. why would he not decide to go frolicking back to the meadows of blood again?" she cupped her chin in the palm of her hand, elbow on top her knee for support as she raised the question and an eyebrow. Isaac smirked, casually leaning back in his seat with his hands folded behind his head. "I thought about it, even prepared all my stuff for the escape..." He paused for effect, locking eyes with the devilish girl. "But then I cracked open a window and realized.. I was having too much fun being used for your games." Isaac's face grew dark, his murderous self emerging in the intensity of his gaze and widening smirk. Devone merely huffed acting unimpressed just as the door was opened by Goro, not having noticed the vehicle was stopped. He offered his hand like a gentleman to help her out of the limousine but Devone brushed past him as if he were invisible as she exited. "We're late." she hissed, placing blame on the bodyguards although it was cleaning up her mirror incident that pressed them for time.

Devone approached the Himeji castle courtyard gates with her two bodyguards, obvious by their identical black suits. They walked by her sides to keep the crowd from touching her. She had no desire to bump and rub shoulders with those undeserving of her, making her wish the two men could be present during her studies as well. Unfortunately, Airdalen Academy would not make an exception for her despite acting as a generous sponsor for the high school since her sophomore year. No matter how anyone may look at her, she was far from conscious. If she had a great body, why not show off a little? She enjoyed the attention anyway, arrogant and proud. Devone's eyes settled at the signboard by the doors to the castle once she had made her way to the courtyard, adding to her annoyances. A date? Is this some kind of joke? At times, Airdalen really pushed her buttons. It was a shame it came so highly recommended by her social circles... Playing matchmaker on the second day of school? No wonder teenagers are producing offspring like rabbits. Devone had avoided the first day of school, avoided her junior, avoided the club meets but she did not desire to avoid a public function that would potentially leak some interesting, juicy pieces of information on her classmates. "Goro, gate. Isaac, hummer." she assigned them jobs to do as the two bodyguards bowed before leaving the senior student to acquire a partner.

"Even with the
streams of time flowing
I will find a way to make
a bridge, so that I'll be able
to see you, to feel you, to
talk to you when the time comes."
─────────────────────────

The moment he greeted Jay, his junior spoke in his mother language which was at a point was his as well. He met the fist bump with the same gesture. "Thanks. You're good with the rhyme." It made him wonder if Jay had a partner for the night. He did remember that Inoue doesn't have one as the younger male asked for his help. He took a look around to see if Inoue is present, but the boy was not yet. That was when he noticed someone coming towards the group, unable to ask his question as it took his attention.

There was another newcomer, a female who wore a maid costume and apparently was Harigae's companion. He does not care for rumors or such things. He does not involve himself in such trivial things, but he does know what is present before him without being told. It was not really his concern, but that meant she would not be one of the people he could ask to accompany him for the night. It was fine and he was about to answer the question when he felt someone touching him, specifically his clothes.

He looked to see that it was Harigae. He wasn't really opposed to it. He did hear of the blue-haired senior's quirks from the others, but he doesn't see it as that. He let the guy do what he wants as long as it doesn't bother him on a very personal level. It eventually stopped when Harigae's attention was shifted to his wings and eventually, the earlier question had been answered. It was also after that another came, it was Trander, the other foreigner he met at the opening ceremony. The boy complimented the costumes and that was true. Everyone had worked on their costumes at some form.

Ryou's attention was taken when another newcomer joined the group. It was a guy in a samurai costume, but it seems this guy had been in a rumble of sorts. He introduced himself in a friendly manner and Ryou did the same in his own way. "No." That was his answer to this boy now known as Kei Watari and the proper response to an introduction. "I'm Giou, Ryou." He gave a small nod of his head and then looked at the others who could introduce themselves too. There was another question directed at him and it was a problem he does want to have a solution about. It was also apparent that he has to since Watari said that there are traps present for those who do not follow the condition of having a date. It seems Watari also shared the same fate as him for the night.

"No, I don't have one." He smoothly said that. It was rather hard to believe especially with his certain avid fans. Those who heard looked at him in disbelief, whispers began, all that he was used to along with the flashes of the cameras on him or towards their group by the other students. He initially had no intention of coming and really, he was rather conflicted of having a companion really, for in the end of the day, he only have one individual in mind that was truly fitting to be identified as his date. "It seems I need to get one now." He cast his attention briefly to the group and then to other students, before realizing something. He looked back at Watari. "Thanks for the advice, Watari-san."

He then noticed another person approaching them with a rather eye-catching costume. It was Fukui and from the looks of it a date of his junior. It seemed he would not need to worry about Jay when it comes to socialization. That was really a good thing. He ought to worry about himself as he looked around because as far as he could tell the group he was in seemed to be paired up already. Blake could probably be having Kon as his date. He wasn't sure about the ghost (Skylar) or for Trander. That's when he caught a familiar figure in also another eye-catching costume. It seemed that was a trend as he looked back at the others. "Excuse me, but do you know anyone who has no date?" It was a question he should have asked earlier isn't it? He was fine with anyone as long as it was not one of those rabid fans.

Johnny “Jay” Farelli

“Jay!”

Johnny, being nearly as tall as Ryou, was easy to pick out in a crowd, especially with his green plumber’s cap. Though faded, the colour of the hat was still a strong, noticeable hue.

That didn’t compare to Johnny’s date, however. Gen in particular was very… conspicuous, to say the least. Scraps of hot pink fabric coupled with leather belts- and very little else. The scraps were stitched professionally together to form a pseudo-sports bra and short shorts. She wore mismatched, loosely fitting boots with matching finger-less gloves, and a single long pink stocking on one leg that nearly reached her thigh. She had split her large braid into two slimmer braids. There was a lot of visible skin; pale, and very fair. The overall look was quite wacky, but not in an overwhelming way. With part of her bangs flared out forward, Johnny thought she looked pretty cute.

Of course he would at least think that sort of thing. Despite himself, Johnny felt rather hot under the collar. He tried to force his heart to keep an even rhythm. His tight shirt stretched as he tried to control his breathing. Johnny could’ve sworn he felt- not heard- some threads snap along the shoulder seams. He hardly expected such a… non-conservative costume for a place that seemed to hold onto traditional values more strictly than most places in the United States. Sure there were lots of girls who dressed similarly where Johnny came from, but that was Johnny’s old hood.

Being relatively illiterate in the way of technology and video games, the foreigner had no idea what Gen was supposed to be. (Heck, he never played the game his own costume was from.) The “bullets” attached to the sides of the “bra” belt seemed out of proportion, almost cartoonish, like they were meant to fit a gun that couldn’t exist in reality. Was this a character of some Japanese cartoon? … Or a video game? Hell, with Nintendo and Sony, Japan basically made both anime and video games. Maybe this was a character from both?

The pondering helped Johnny cool his head enough to think about what he wanted to say. With an almost flamboyant spreading of his arms, he greeted Gen and sized her up with a gaze going from head to toe, and back to head again. “Yo! You’re rockin’ that look, dude!” He started… in English… dumbass… He dropped his arms slightly. “Wait, I mean… (in Japanese, and more professionally, more like an unintentionally sultry growl)*ahem* You look great, Gen-san!” He meant it too. Johnny rose a hand to rub the brim of the Luigi cap between a finger and thumb. Along with the hat, he wore that wonderfully friendly smile of his. He laughed off his earlier dumbassery. Despite growing up in the hood, Johnny made sure to take care of his pearly-whites. All his old friends did.

“Sorry I’m late, shall we get going?” She suggested with a polite smile. Johnny knew every word for this one. He memorized most of them before he left.

Johnny’s smile did not falter. “Hey, no worries! I actually got here early.”

She was clearly checking out the goods, but Johnny knew she too was checking out costume choice. “You’re dressed as Luigi, correct~?”

“You got it!” Johnny grinned, and held two thumbs up akin to the Fonz.

“We’re so well matched. We’ll stand out as the only… in the crowd so far tonight.”

Only… only what…? Johnny glanced around to check out the other costumes to buy time to figure out what could’ve been said. What does her costume and Luigi have in common? … Oh! She must mean that costume is also from a video game!

“I think you’re right!” Johnny’s grin widened as his eyes returned to see her’s. Huh… Imagine that, it was like… fate or something brought them together with near-matching costumes… well, matching in the sense that they originated from the same medium. That’s like saying “two colours in a watercolour paint kit.” Not that Johnny would know anything about that sort of thing… well… he sorta does… kinda… He had many… friends back in America. The only thing he ever drew was an attempt at an album cover. The others in his core group all drew superior images, however. It was pretty laughable, although…

No… not a good time to think about that. To try to hide the slight glaze his eyes may have developed, the foreigner blinked and glanced up to the location he and the other students were meant to party at. The handsome-looking traditional Japanese castle would soon be inhabited by teenagers dressed in Halloween costumes. Johnny wondered what cool cultural stuff resided within the fortress walls, and how jarring it would look juxtaposed with these kids in absurd modern attire.

“Anyway, let us go.” Johnny continued. He bowed his head a little in a respectful nod and offered a chiseled arm as bare as most of Gen. He couldn’t wait to see what cool stuff lay in wait for himself and the rest of the students. To the rest of the crowd, he shouted, “Let’s get this party starteeeed! WHOO!” with a voice like an R&B legend.

Hopefully he’d keep it together… keep it together through this… reminderThis isn’t a date for me, after all… A school project… a field trip… something that isn’t… But then again… Gen should have a good time all the same. I mean… she probably expects this to be a date. Johnny didn’t like the idea of this being a date, but he loathed making enemies. Sometimes it couldn’t be helped, but Johnny never consciously made the effort to be malicious. He never considered the mere thought. One thing was absolute: Gen deserved a fun time. After all, she agreed to join the foreigner. Hopefully it’ll work out.

Glancing inside wide-open entrances to the many buildings, Johnny spotted the furnishings within the assorted turrets and buildings within the walls. The interior consisted of wooden pillars and wooden walls, holding up a wooden ceiling only Johnny could consider “low”. Dark wooden floors covered the entire walkable interior. Every plank was polished evenly to a mirror shine. The mixture of subtle reds and browns, and the whites of the walls, reminded Johnny of pictures of some old, middle-class houses in Italy. The general architecture, however, did not resemble anything European. There was a greater presence of rectangles, rather than triangles. between the shelves that held blade-less pole-arm handles, and the grid-like windows covered in a thin membrane of paper, and the perfectly vertical, or perfectly horizontal support beams, one was hard-pressed to find a single angle that was not ninety degrees.

Most of the locations were shut off due to other events, but the path leading to the intended location was very easy to navigate.

The intended location was not just an interior. Outside of the main building was a large flat plateau- a field of grass bordered by gravel pathways held along the edge of an enormous retaining wall. Looming over the largest grassy field was the main building of the large castle. It looked ever more impressive the closer Johnny got. It was nice to feel small every once in a while, especially when one felt so big every other time.

Inside the castle was obviously an old-style emperor’s court repurposed to a dance floor. Surrounding the floor itself sat dozens of well-kept suits of traditional samurai armour. ”If I had more time to prepare, I probably would’ve gone as a samurai,” Johnny joked.

He and his friends watched old martial arts movies, as was fitting for kids from their area. The theatre was run-down and cheap, and almost never had any new releases until months later when the owner went to the bigger cities to pick up DVD’s. That theatre also had the most comfortable chairs in the world. Best of all, the owner always made sure they didn’t squeak.

… Shit shit shit don’t think about the past. It’s about the present. It’s about the now!

“So, uh… Couldn’t figure out how to say this in Japanese, but I’ve never been to a Japanese dance before. I guess they’re pretty different from stuff back in America?” Johnny asked in English with a laugh, “Well, besides the decor, I mean.”

I can't hear a thing.. Too many people are talking all at once... Standing outside of Himeji Castle was far more stimulating than the poor ivory haired freshmen had anticipated. It reminded her of the party she had attended, thanks to Cassiopeia informing her of the event, the same one where she had met Arietta, but this time it lacked alcohol, making it far more . There were so many students outside that it was difficult to keep up with what was going on around her. Akira could barely take in what was going on, but Sora and Yuuki made their way inside, along with Arietta and her date (Tadashi) which Akira was honestly not familiar with. The typically ivory haired girl rubbed the back of her neck, noticing Ryou asking around if anyone had a date. She was tempted to speak up, but she did not wish to be seen as a gay male. The last thing she wanted was the torment that came with being a gay male in the high school athletic environment. Despite still being a foreigner, Akira knew that Japan was highly conservative. She did not wish to ostracized. She had a feeling that at some point or another, this school would definitely run out of 'understanding' and 'tolerance'.

Just around the time that Akira calmed down, a stranger (Kei) approached herself and Mai. By all means, the stranger was very attractive and despite his awkward nature, he gave off an arrogant vibe. The male asked Mai to the dance, assuming that she and Mai were dates. At first Akira was shocked, but then she remembered that she appeared to simply be a feminine male to the eyes of others, and at worst, androgynous. "Nah, I'm not her date. I just want a dance with her sometime before the night is over." Akira assured the dark haired male, then smiled to Mai. Akira was genuinely happy that her friend had the opportunity to be escorted by an attractive guy. I'm glad that someone asked her. I wonder what she'll say.. She felt immediately bummed that she wouldn't get to attend with someone handsome, but this was the life she chose. Statistically, this was a man's world, so why wouldn't it be logical to pretend to be one if the opportunity arises? Still, despite the logic in her choice, she missed being able to crush on boys without being so self conscious.

Akira's gaze shifted to the side just in time to see the heathen (Saburo) approach. While she did not hold the punch she had received against him, she could not forgive that he started a fight so close to Yuuki. She also wondered what the argument between Yuuki and the heathen had been, but it seemed that no one was willing to reveal the content of that heated discussion. Akira closed her blue eyes, shaking her head. Considering everyone involved with the fight was present, she wondered if tonight stood a chance. The last thing she wanted was for a round two to commence. Hmph. As long as he doesn't start anything, I suppose it'll be okay. Akira thought to herself, deciding to give the night and the heathen the benefit of the doubt. She had promised herself to have fun, and she was determined to do just that. Akira decided to test this 'date' rule, so she approached the building, exhaling a nervous breath before taking a step towards the gate. She noticed a familiar face, immediately froze upon said recognition, SHE attends this school!? This is NOT happening... In her peripheral vision, she could clearly make out Devone. This was turning into her worst nightmare! How was she supposed to relax and cut loose with that girl here?

Now that her nerves were on hyper-drive, Akira knew that she had to think fast. She could not let the object of her anxiety locate her in the crowd, Be cool, while she does know this costume, as far as she knows...I am just a boy that works at a maid cafe as a butler... She doesn't know my real secret, even though she knows more than I'm comfortable with. She had to get out of here before Devone recognized her. Perhaps entering at the same time as someone else who was dateless would overrule the 'attending with a date' rule? She just had to wait for someone to try and go in, and she would follow them in immediately. Simple logic, right? Whomever was enforcing the rules would never know, right? Speaking of chaperons, she didn't see a single one in sight. Were the teachers simply hiding? Better yet, why were students expected to have dates by the second day of school? Growing desperate, Akira grabbed the wrist of the closest person to her, which just so happened to be the heathen. Akira immediately rushed inside with him to avoid being seen by her classmates, but especially by Devone. Thankfully, her hunch was right, and she managed to make it inside of the hallway of Himeji Castle without occurrence, "Sorry. Avoiding someone. If you have a date, you can go back to meet them now. I just needed a free ticket inside. Least you could do for punching me in the face." Akira responded with a grin, before releasing Saburo's wrist. Now that she got a good look at him, she couldn't help but admire his choice of Halloween costume. It suited him well, and he looked rather dashing. Had she not known about his anger issues, Akira might have even considered him attractive, especially in this lighting. However, their unusual circumstances kept her from viewing him from even a relatively romantic stance no matter how aesthetically pleasing he appeared in such a uniform. She took a few steps ahead of where she had let go of him, taking in the beauty of the hall. She had to admit, whoever chose this location had excellent taste. She was highly impressed. She almost forgot that the rough-around-the-edges boy was still with her, but perhaps that was because she did not even know his name. Though to be fair, Akira had never offered the heathen (Saburo) her own name either.

ImageDevone did not desire a date. Observing students walking around her and off into Himeji Castle with hearts in their eyes made her want to gag in disgust. She couldn't comprehend this concept of falling in love at all. Why was it so desirable? Why was her generation so shamelessly needy? Despite her inner thoughts, Devone was perhaps a little bit jealous at how alien she was to the emotion. After all, they did look happy even if it was the stupid kind. She briefly glanced over her attire in her little moment of insecurity to reassure herself, the outfit undeniably provocative and shameless. I'm not a sore loser who would turn tail and I can't waste such a good look.

"Excuse me, but do you know anyone who has no date?"

Devone returned to her senses at the glimpse of opportunity. Her eyes sharpened like a predator on the prowl with a blue glow as she looked over the crowd. She dearly hoped it would lead to the end of her annoying search. It appeared that everybody but a few had already acquired a date and she was convinced she was simply more fetching than most to even worry about rejection. The student who had spoken out about his own search for a date turned out to be who she least expected, fellow senior Ryou. Devone had never seen him attend a single event or at least not happily. She was under a distant impression that he was the grumpy sort not taking into consideration what his circumstances might be. Devone was only interested in people who could fill her needs, solve her problems and/or provide some entertainment in this dreary world. For now, he was serving as a possible solution.

"Giou-san, it's nice to see you joined in the festivity."
Devone made her reveal from the crowd to stand before him, one of her slender hands teasingly sliding down from her waist to her hips before settling. It was not her intention to seduce him but wearing seductive clothing did naturally bring out the seductress in her. It was also all the more fitting with the way she was dressed as a lust demon. Devone subtlely checked out his own garb having no idea what he was supposed to be. However finding the quality of it to be on par with her was good because they would match and she wouldn't accept any less for a partner. She wanted all the boys and girls at the party to eat their heart out at such an attractive pairing. It added to her interests that Ryou was considerably off limits and hard to get. Speaking of which...

"But do my ears deceive me?"
Devone found it a little hard to believe that Ryou was encountering difficulties snagging a date for the night. Unless of course, he had rejected a mountain of offers before she came along from girls he did not like. That's the most likely scenario out of them all. Even reaching that conclusion, she remained confident in her decision to make him hers for the night. She needed a partner in order to stick around and scope out gossip. He also needed a suitable partner for whatever reason he had decided to show up. It would solve both their problems to just run with it. And if he has his head screwed on properly, he should know better to recognize a good offer. Other girls won't be as tolerable as I am... "I am also looking for a date. Would you care to accompany me?" She posed the question casually, the words slipping out between her lips like silk. Devone made asking someone out appear effortless with her air of confidence. But it's not like I'm invested in this. Heavens, no. She brushed her fingers through her long hair with a small smile while awaiting his response. Maybe this was an opportunity for her to get closer to the mysterious silver-eyed president of the Airdalen Basketball Conquerers. School politics is something.

"There will be
times that I would have to
compromise on the things I do
just to be reminded that
all I did was just for the
sake of her wish."
─────────────────────────

It would appear that the girl in the ghost costume was actually the fox's (Bishop) date. They seemed to get along and even the girl's (Skylar) actions were not much of a disturbance to Ryou even if she had been up-close and personal to him earlier. Her actions and words reminded him of the females back in the US. He had been around different social circles, so he was more or less experienced. Well, the two seemed to get along and he shouldn't disturbed.

His greater concern was having a companion. Judging by how it looked like, he was the odd one out. Watari seemed to have asked one of his store clients (Mai). Even Inoue seemed to have entered with Blake, he wasn't judgmental of any types of relationship, but it did appear rather rushed. It was like how Miyamoto blazed through with a girl (Tsukiko) in his arms. Everyone was finding themselves a partner except for him, and he could feel the strong gazes of those what Reisha called as razor-sharp fans of his. There was no way he would ask any of them; it would be far worse than a death sentence.

That was when his inner thoughts were stopped as he heard his name. His eyes found his fellow senior Devone before him. It was a bit surprising as their paths never crossed. There was no bad blood, more like they don't share the same priorities. "It is also nice to see you, Kim-san." There was no animosity nor a sense of arrogance. His features and voice may fell flat in response, but there was softness mingled within. This was soon followed by a leading question in relation to his earlier query. There was no point in denying that. "Your ears work perfectly fine." It was not of sarcasm, but a plain answer and assurance that what she heard was correct.

This was followed by her invitation to be her companion. He was surprised and that showed with a slight raise in his eyebrows and the slight widening of his eyes. It was more in relation as to who was asking him. He had heard of Kim's reputation and even if that was not for him to be concerned with. In any case, this would solve his problem, so why would he refuse. She was a better choice than the girls circling him on a daily basis. "Yes, it would be a pleasure to accompany you." He answered back is his ever casual manner, though he did remember manners as often scolded to him by her. There was a need to hold out his hand and to escort properly, right?. This might not be a date in terms of romance, but his attention would be hers alone for the evening. That is just how it is, so he would do it without fail, by properly escorting her.

Ryou extended his hand to her, whether she took it or not, it would be her decision. "Shall we go inside, now?" His eyes of silver that seemed to hold an incomprehensible depth, reflected her image completely. He was not going to mind anyone else, other than her. It was not hard for she is beautiful after all and in this evening, she made sure that she won't be drowned in the crowd when it comes to being the star of the night. In the end, this was still a business arrangement of sorts, and this was just a responsibility for him. That's because there was really only one beauty that would make his heart flutter. "Let me properly escort you, Kim-san." Whatever she does, he began to lead her inside the Himeji Castle.

ImageHe didn’t really just say "Your ears work perfectly fine." Did he? Ryou was more serious than she could have possibly imagined that it started to worry her. Not because she cared about him but because she cared about having a sense of ‘fun’. It was a good thing his body, at least, met up with the rest of her imagination. It wasn't a total lost. She would enjoy the jealous gazes he would help her earn. Unlike most people, Devone blossomed in the worst social elements.
"Yes, it would be a pleasure to accompany you." Devone smiled innocently matched with a small girly chuckle on instinct at her small victory of the night. She was a lot happier that he had agreed to accompany her more than she would care to ever admit to. Not having any prior relationship and it being a last minute arrangement, it was quite a lucky catch by her standards. Thank God I didn’t miss this chance. I could’ve ended up attending with some desperate low life. And Devone, would much rather go home than be seen with the likes of someone unworthy of her. Such a scene would raise questions and bruise her reputation.

"Shall we go inside, now?" Like a gentleman right on cue, he offered his hand to her to take. Devone was very used to the courtesy in her crowd of connections coming from a wealthy family but she did not expect Ryou to be so accommodating to her. It almost made her heart flutter with surprise. But of course, it was not to last as Devone felt disgusted just as quickly. Hmph. Does he think that's all it takes to impress me?
"Yes, let's." Devone placed her hand neatly in his and came across as agreeable contradicting her thoughts. So well-rehearsed were her manners, in fact, that it could cause anyone to doubt the nasty rumors that followed her everywhere she went. It truly was a gift to have a silver tongue. It came easily to her especially at this point in time to play along with good-natured remarks because she was satisfied with her date selection and did not wish to provide him a reason to escape her clutches.

Although the itch to test him to the limit remains. She wondered in the back of her mind with sadism what it would take to make the stoic man’s wall crumble. For now, she would observe him and put her perception to practice. It was hard to unmask someone when they gave away so little like Ryou but there was something she could sense as she stared back at those cold silver eyes of his. Despite the politeness he had shown her and the way he focused solely on her as a date should, there was distance. A distance she knew too well... "Let me properly escort you, Kim-san." I'm glad you understand, Giou-san. Friendship and romance are out of the question. This is just business. Summing up her thoughts, she proceeded to walk with him as if she had noticed nothing.

Needless to say, she was not disappointed when they made it inside the castle. There were plenty of perks when attending a wealthy and well reputed high school and social functions were one of them. The music didn't particularly suit her tastes but she would make do, "Do you dance Giou-san?" she attempted to make light conversation when a particular and rather annoying boy (Akira) stood out in the corner of her eye wearing some cheap, flimsy werecat costume or whatever. Is this some kind of joke? What's he doing here? Devone was astounded that Airdalen would accept Akira as a student of all things but it was the most likely case. Well then, I'll take it as an opportunity to make his life more regrettable. Devone hated Akira with a passion and if not for her date and the other two with him (Rhys and Shiori) she would have started plotting.
Upon realising Ryou might have seen her attention drift for a moment no matter how subtle, she addressed it with action. Devone moved closer to his side and squeezed his hand a little with her eyes lowering as if suddenly uneasy and seeking comfort. Devone would excuse the moment as something else if he asked. Perhaps a sign of weakness like a damsel in distress? There were many possibilities at a party like this where women dressed risky and some men weren't on their best behaviour.

The hall was in full motion. Everyone was interacting and music was playing in the background. His eyes lingered briefly to see who were near them or if there are familiar faces. He caught sight of the popular pair of Aeon and Cassiopeia. They were crowded which was a natural thing as far as he knows. He just didn't expect Cassiopeia's choice of clothes. She looks beautiful though, but he was not his companion. He refocused his attention back to Devone who asked her a question.

"Yes, I do." His mother was a lover of dance and would often drag him to move his body to the music which was the term she used back then. It was helpful since she also likes to dance. That's right, it was proper to ask Devone to dance. But before he could, he noticed her attention on somewhere else. He lightly followed it and saw Akira along with Shiori and a brown-haired male (Rhys). He wasn't certain among who is she looking at or thinking of, but that was fine. He did that as well earlier.

Then, he felt her hand squeezing his. That's right they were holding hands, weren't they? She seemed at a discomfort. He wasn't sure about what, but as her escort, that must be erased. He released her hand and stepped away briefly. His eyes reflecting her image completely and then lowered himself to the floor with his knee as a stand and right hand placed over his chest. His head lowered and he closed his eyes. It was like a scene out of those stories about knights and their princesses pledging loyalty.

It fitted him in a way like none other especially in his current attire. "Kim-san, if it would please you. Would you allow me to have this dance?" His eyes that were closed slowly opened and looked at her with such clarity. He stretched his other hand for her to take. Somehow, the way he does it wouldn't seemed to be awkward, as if around him all that exists is them and what they want it to be. Whether she took it or not, he lead her to the center and with her permission, he pulled her close to him. Somewhat protective and yet oddly polite hold of her. "Tonight, I will be your sword and shield." His voice was calm as it has always been. Those eyes of his held that degree of seriousness without the slightest hint of doubt. "I'll protect you." With those words, he began to move in time for the dance, something fitting yet at the same time nothing uncomfortable.

 1. HolyJunkie's song request!

ImageDevone would allow her confusion to surface as he let go of her, a trace feeling of being dejected. She was being turned down, isn’t it? She had given his hand a squeeze only for Ryou to release. It was difficult for Devone to process as it hadn’t happened to her before. It was complete hogwash. So confused was she, that she was speechless. Devone wasn’t sure if it would be better to react upset, angry or just unaffected. I’m not emotionally invested in this arrangement, isn’t it? No, not at all. It is just strange to—

However dire the situation appeared to be in her mind, it was proven to be misled. Ryou knelt before her and she immediately thought first of the girls who would envy her. There was no mistaking that this scene would attract attention but Ryou didn’t seem to mind, moving his hand to his chest and lowering his head. I retract my statement on this not being fun. Maybe being too serious can be beneficial. Devone didn’t know what Ryou was up to but she would welcome it. She always did appreciate acts of submission and kneeling was a step further from the occasional bow she’d receive from her bodyguards. I think I could get used to this. They should learn a thing or two from this one. Despite how such an act could be viewed as modest, Ryou looked so dignified as he did it. It’s a good look for him, beneath me. Devone approved wholeheartedly of this development, awaiting what it was Ryou had to say with such importance.

"Kim-san, if it would please you. Would you allow me to have this dance?" Devone stared back into Ryou’s eyes outwardly appearing shy of his request, rose red surfacing on her cheeks. Meanwhile, her mind was cackling. She was being treated like royalty and enjoying the demonstration a little too much. See this, everyone? This is how a Kim should be treated! On that note, there was a hint of sadness as she briefly recalled her experiences of faked loyalty among friends and other connections but Devone wished to rise above that and she would. "Yes, I'd love to dance, thank you." she smiled sweetly and accepted his hand in the same manner she had accepted it before as he steered them to the center of the dance floor.

As they walked together, she realized just how much focus she was giving him especially to politely return the attention he gave her. The night had begun with her intentions of gathering gossip but the way her circumstances were playing out, there was a chance she would be that gossip. It was not every day that Ryou would be spotted giving attention to a girl. Although, there is that pink-haired one. What was her name again? she sarcastically remarked to herself, of course knowing of the 'Pink Princess' given her popularity. Still, Devone doubted that even that girl had gotten this far with stoic, icy Ryou.
Before she could reflect more on school hierarchy, Ryou had once again seized her attention in the moment it would take to draw a single breath as he closed the space by pulling her closer towards him. Devone’s mind raced with uncertainty but her honed skill of perception returned her to ease. Whatever was coming, she could handle it and she had agreed to dance with him as well. Dancing would obviously involve body contact, making Devone almost feel stupid if not for her holier-than-thou complex. She had been unprepared for his boldness considering that their relationship with each other had been formed only minutes ago but that’s what made people so interesting to her. No matter one’s wits and experience in life, there will always be without fail, people who will surprise you.

"Tonight, I will be your sword and shield." Devone’s eyes widened at his words. It was surprising for reasons too numerous to list. "I'll protect you." She steadied her gaze in order to read him but it didn’t take any skill at all to read Ryou in this particular point in time. He was serious, like always. It was just such an alien display of sincerity as Devone had never seen or been exposed to it before. She knew she had brought this on by her acted sign of weakness but this was a lot more than she could have hoped for. Promising to protect a demon? He did know who she was, right? The one the students would call Ursula, a witch who takes advantage of others. Was being his companion for the night all it took to warrant his protection?

She was unable to linger on her thoughts any longer as it occurred to her they had come here to dance when he started to move to the music. Devone was more accustomed to formal dancing for business-related occasions but that was fine, she could still adapt and dance here letting Ryou lead. Devone took the opportunity in her little sways to regather her composure from the unexpected turn of events. She hadn’t replied to his promise yet which was very unlike her. Devone tended to have a comeback remark for everything. It then occurred to her that she had been playing it safe with Ryou, the only most daring thing she had done being asking him to be her partner. That would not do. As much as she would act the innocent, she would not tolerate always taking the back seat.

When the song ended and changed to the next, Devone would mimic a body roll, her hands sliding down her body in a seductive manner as she propped her chest forward with shoulders back then reversed to transition her pelvis forward next. It looked natural as if she had done this before only because of her eye for detail the one time she had seen it performed. While she would not be able to pull it off professionally, it also helped that her costume fitted her body perfectly to show off her curves. When she had gotten close enough that her body was pressed against him and was sure to have earned his attention, she placed a gentle hand on his bare chest and said, “I appreciate that, Ryou.” Her voice soft but questionably indecent, Devone was starting to show her true colors in small doses. What if the one who needs protecting, is you?

─────────────────────────

Ryou had been around in parties during back in America. He was even hanging out with what they would call as the wrong group of people. That's why he's rather used to parties that are rather informal whatever they might be. As for the posh types, he had some ideas from his mother and from his uncle who often would drag him to one. He wasn't sure what for, but if he would guess it was for business purposes, since most clients were female.

Anyway, he allowed himself to continue dance, though he was rather unsure what to do next when the music shifted. It was not because he doesn't know how to dance something in that range, but more like he wasn't sure if Devone would be comfortable with it. After all, he did just say he would protect her for the night. It won't do to be the source of his discomfort, even if she had not responded to his words, that was fine by him. He was her responsibility for tonight.

Then, she suddenly shifted gears from how she was before. She showed off her curves with that body roll and he would admit to anyone that she was indeed a sexy woman apparently there were quite a lot around them, but his attention was only towards her right now. Then, a tincture of allure inflected their in her toe as her hand placed on his bare chest. She even went to the length of calling him by his first name. He did hear the rumors about her, but that has nothing to do with him or with what's going to happen at this dance.

"Glad to be of service, to you." He pulled her towards him by placing his arm around her waist and then grabbed her chin with his other hand gently.

"But, I won't turn away from anything you do to me, Kim-san." His face close to hers. There was a distant cooing of envy and grumble of regrets ringing through his ears, but they were nothing more but noise to him. The hand on her chin transcended to the hand on his chest, clasping it and placing it ever so near his lips, while those silver eyes looked at hers directly. "All yours." He whispered through her fingers and then pulled away by guiding her to turn around, as he released while doing so and also did somewhat a similar body roll. Afterwards, he caught her again, by embracing her like that a lover, gentle yet protective, would as his eyes sharply gazed at the men having rather predatory thoughts about her.

"Be careful what you ask for!" Skylar had never been careful in what she asked for. Her father was the best man to ask about that as the teenage girl would make demands on the fly, her attention shifting as fast as car gears go. Some even wondered if the girl suffered from ADHD or was just a spoiled brat but that was up for debate. Her smile widened just as much as Bishop's did when he guided her to the dance floor. She was used to leading others to the fun so she was ecstatic to be led for the first time, trailing behind him like an energetic puppy. Her ears and tail would be in motion too if she had any.

Reaching the floor, she danced the same way she had earlier and watched while her partner let loose. Bishop was no doubt a good dancer, making Skylar more excited. "Wooo00ooot! Slaying it!" she egged him on more, adding some twirls to her routine that her long hair swished along with her inevitably brushing some faces but Skylar was having too much fun to notice. She easily lost herself in the music and it was arguably the most calm she could be besides sleeping.

Just as Bishop's gaze moved, as did hers looking towards the other pairs dancing on the floor. A vampire and a werewolf (Tsukiko and Kazuki) were getting particularly steamy, Skylar's curious eyes widening when the boy seductively bit the girl's neck. It was a little confusing to her considering the girl was the vampire and it were vampires that usually aimed for the neck isn't it? Skylar also did not know how the lore would go from there, if a werewolf were to bite a vampire. It was so confusing she stopped dancing just to stare and think about it.

Her attention shifted again to another pair (Devone and Ryou) getting steamy in the way that they danced with each other and she could relate more, having come from America. Their body rolls enraptured her and she thought of them as professional dancers! The girl had horns which was a mega plus in her book and she had already spoken to the bare-chested guy before the dance started.

"Bishop!" she glanced back at her date with starry eyes and a big grin like the happiest child on planet earth. "This party is A-MAZING! Do you think we can do what they're doing?" she boldly pointed out the werewolf man (Kazuki) biting the vampire (Tsukiko) and the other beautiful steamy couple (Devone and Ryou). Skylar grabbed Bishop by the collar then immaturely jumped up and down in her spot with her next demand. "Please! Please! Please!" She really was not careful in what she asked for.

Bishop was having a great time dancing, he always enjoyed it and never really missed a moment to partake in one of his favorite things to do. He shimmied and moved tot he beat of the music, noticing the song changed to something that his dad would play. "Woah... This song is old." He glanced to Skylar seeing that she was beyond ecstatic, the girl was practically bouncing off the walls with energy. Her dancing was the same, but it wasn't anything bad, all kinds of people danced in different ways. It was really cute though, he had to admit. "Wooo00ooot! Slaying it!" With a blush hidden by the bright lights flashing and swaying from above he continued to dance going along with his groove. He twirled with Skylar/u] several of the tails bumping into people, but not in the same fashion as his date's hair came whipping around to hit people in the face. He didn't notice her spying on other people in the crowd.

"Bishop!" "Hmm?" He turned around to look at [u]Skylar
still dancing in place. "This party is A-MAZING! Do you think we can do what they're doing?" Bishop smiled at first glad to hear that she (Skylar) was having a good time. But he followed her point to look at Devone and Ryou then Kazuki and Tsukiko... His face turned completely red in shock to see what they're doing. He gaped pausing from the dance, not even noticing that Skylar had grabbed the caller to his costume. <A girl.. Wants to do THAT with me!? I know that's more popular back in the states but, I've never danced like that with a girl before. What if I get a-.... Aaaww man. Wait! Don't I know her? She looks familiar.> With his blue gaze shifted back towards Devone. That girl looked familiar, she reminded him of his old childhood friend. Which by fate, happened to be her actually. The lights, music and crowd made it hard to tell her out exactly, but he stared mysteriously seeing her dance and roll her body exotically. Bishop's attention snapped back towards Skylar he watched as she jumped up and down, with her hands on his shirt. It was like dancing like that was nothing to her, but it had... A girl wouldn't randomly ask to dance like that unless it was on purpose. Or that's what he thought. Not many girls gave him the time of day really, let alone ask him out to dirty dancing.

He sigh and gulp, the kitsune nodded. "Y-Yeah sure.... We can dance like that, if you want." He rubbed the back of his neck trying to hide how flustered and nervous he was. He didn't do a very good job, thank god for the loud music and flashing lights though. On this one, Bishop would be hard pressed to take the lead. Sure he had the natural ability and talent to dance like that, he jsut lacked the experience and most importantly- confidence to pull it off. <Oh man... Here's goes nothing. Just- Just stay calm. And don't get a- well don't do that. Just think about anything else. Think of something sad-..> 15 years old, on his first date with a girl he barely knew in a Japanese castle. This would be something to remember.

ImageDevone was enjoying the game of seductive exchanges with Ryou a little more than she thought she would. She had initially assumed that his stoical attitude would be the death of her fun but the man was more than willing to roll with her flirts. It was a nice surprise and a change of pace from boring and dull business conversations.

"Glad to be of service, to you."
His answer brought a smile to her face but that smile quickly changed into a soft surprised gasp that went unheard of under the loud music when Ryou closed the gap even more. Devone felt a chill run up her spine when he wrapped his arm around her waist and held her chin. She couldn't remember the last time someone had been this forward and comfortable with her and even if she could remember such a time, that boy would be long gone from her life by now for good reason.
Devone also found the proximity of their faces to be distracting. With Ryou's hold on her for the time being, she had little choice than to go with the flow as a polite date would. While he was gorgeous eye candy, there were still limits to what Devone would endure. He only pushes as far as I push, I'm sure of it. He won't go any further in fear of offending me.

"But, I won't turn away from anything you do to me, Kim-san."
As if to seal the deal about her dominance in the situation, he reached for her hand and guided her fingertips towards his lips."All yours." As their eyes locked, she started to wonder if his actions really were a result of her playfulness because if it was, it was too good to be true. Was this really the same Ryou she had asked to join her on a whim only moments ago? His words and body language were a lot more passionate. But does it really matter? So long as it's fun. Devone followed his lead as he guided her to turn and the edges of her lips formed a mischievous smirk at his own body roll. She had to admit, it suited him more than she. It would appear that he had the upper hand on experience. Monkey see, monkey do... she teased in her thoughts over him doing a similar dance move before returning into his firm embrace. She didn't fail to notice the sharp looks he gave other boys in their vicinity either. He does take his role as a one night date seriously, doesn't he? Before the song would come to an end, she leaned against him on the tips of her toes to whisper in his ear, "I'll hold you to your word.”

The students in the room were slowly fading in number down to a few all headed in the same direction. From what Devone could gather, they were going to play some sort of Halloween game that involved fake murder. It piqued her interest for the word 'murder' alone. Right on cue, a faint beeping sound was coming from Devone's body that served as her ringtone. Hmm... She could guess it was an announcement of sorts about that game everyone was on about but it wouldn't hurt to make sure. Devone slowly and casually reached between her cleavage to pull out her black sleek phone. She had been lectured before that it wasn't ladylike of her but... I beg to differ. It's a great hiding spot. she chuckled lightly when the text confirmed her assumptions and passed the phone to Ryou to read if he would like and much more... "I think it will be fun, don't you?” Devone gestured in the direction where the game was to be held but she couldn't resist suggesting something indecent while the opportunity was ripe before her. "Could you be a dear and return my phone to its rightful place?” She doubted he would dare touch her that way even if invited but she was interested in how he would interpret and follow through with her request. It was surely enough to make the average boy blush but Ryou wasn't an average boy, was he? How will you handle that my knight in shining armor?

"I have been playing
this game they call relationships
for a long time now, it's tiring
because all I want is just one
person which is not you,
if you insist, you will get hurt."
─────────────────────────

As always it has been, Ryou does things he agreed to with focus and dedication. He was after all a serious person by nature. It is why he had been a person known to be nonsensical, but he just simply do not believe in doing things half-heartedly. If he agreed to it, he would give his all until the responsibility of it ends. That is why there should be no doubt that as Devone's escort, he will do that to a tee and to satisfy her pleasures as much as he could. Well, he was not even caring about rumors, for it will be just that. At the end of the night, they will separate and his heart and his loyalty will always belong to her alone.

In that mindset, the dance soon came to an end as Devone reminded him of his duties with her as an escort. It was also something that he also told her about. "Of course." His simple answer of dedication to her. Until the night ends, Devone will be his utmost priority. He has no qualms about it, no matter what everyone assumed about her or know about her. It was of no consequence to him. Well, it always has been that way with him though, even with his self-proclaimed rival.

As the dance ended, the crowd seemed to dwindle. He also released Devone from his hold to allow respectable distance between them and took a moment to glance at the crowd in wonder if the party was done for, but it was not the case. He felt his phone vibrated in his pocket and perhaps it would be another mass text from the school. It seemed that Airdalen was quite fond of social events. He was the opposite, but if it is a responsibility. He really has no choice in the matter but to do it. He was about to reach for his phone, but it's best to excuse himself from Devone. That was only proper.

That's when he saw Devone taking out her phone from a rather sensitive area. Well, he wasn't judgmental and it does have its perks from what he had heard from others. He did grow up in the more liberal nation of America. So, it would take much to make him flustered or uneasy with the show of skin. However, he was more focused on the source of her chuckle. Apparently, there was a message that made her laugh. Would it be a good news? Consequently, she passed the phone to him which he took and read the message. It was from the school which was about a game called "Murder in the Dark". He was familiar with it, but not thoroughly. This was a game of deception. Somehow, he wondered if that game would be good for him. It doesn't matter to him really, but Devone seemed to like the idea of the game. "If you wish to participate, I will accompany you." He did say that he would protect her and be his sword.

The next words that came from Devone's lips, he was now certain that she was playing and teasing him. She asked him to return her phone to its rightful place. If it would be taken literally along with her innuendo, it meant back to her chest area. His face did not show any signs of being embarrassed or flushed. He was quite calm as his silver eyes gazed at her, unwavering. "As you wish, Kim-san." He reached for her hand and gently placed the phone on it. After all, she gave the phone to him by hand. That is the rightful place it should be returned to. "I am no exhibitionist." However, he would deliver the limits he has and of course, to put her at ease despite her seductive remarks. "I would not lay a hand on you or any woman, willingly or not in front of anyone and as your escort." He then leaned forward, lowering his head so his lips would be aligned to her ear. In that position, it might appear he was kissing her, but that was not the case.

He whispered to her ear with that cool baritone voice of his. The way he quietly spoke added a dimension of silk to the tone. "But if you persists to offer yourself to me even in private, I would not hesitate to partake of you, only for this night." He then pulled away, reinstating the acceptable distance between them. Whether he was joking or not, there was no indication of change in his demeanor. It was as if he too can enter a contest of stoicism against the Ice Prince. He then offered his hand, like a gentleman of highest nobility. "Shall we, Kim-san, to have fun in this game called Murder in the Dark?" Whether she took it or not, he escorted her to the Samurai Armor Room where the game would be held.

ImageImageImage"That's a wonderful moan, quite lovely indeed." Kazuki smirked at his deed. It made him want to do more naughty things just to elicit many responses from her. The night was still far too young for someone like him. Well if he did push far and she freaks out like some pregnant woman than perhaps, she is simply not able to handle the heat. That's all, really. He won't apologize for his actions, after all, he did do it on purpose to feel her all up. Plus, it's not like they're committed to each other. They're simply together for unattached sort of fun. Anyway right now, she's responding nicely to his lead.

He was having quite the fun and it was also clear to him that everyone was rather following their lead on how to dance. That was interesting to say the least. It might be because of the season and atmosphere. It was Halloween and everyone was wearing characters that would contradict how they are in a real setting. It also seemed to have a kind of effect where people are more sensual than the norm. Somehow, he had that feeling he would not hear the end of it from his Uncle later, saying how crude an influence he is and so forth. Oh well, he better enjoy this night and think of a way on how to escape the guy later.

Now, he stopped his thoughts on problems he could deal later by letting his eyes look around them. Earlier, a girl in some maid costume was pointed to him. He doesn't know her, but he would agree that her expression was exciting to see. Flushed cheeks are intoxicating for him, he wanted more to bring out its redness to the extreme. He also managed to catch a glimpse of Gen who appeared having fun with his whatever plumber partner of hers. Then, there was Ryou, his rival, something he came and declared himself really. He was a sight, no doubt about that but so was the girl being treated by Ryou as some kind of princess. Upon closer look, he recognized it to be Devone. Well, nice curves, definitely, he wouldn't mind tapping that. There were the others as well, but what took his annoyance and attention were the school Mr. and Ms. Popular of Airdalen. Aeon looked divine even if he would kill himself than to admit that. Then, there was Cassiopeia. Just heavenly with such a costume, it was feat definitely.

Halloween is great!

But, he stopped himself from checking the sights. For now, he would satisfy himself with this date of his who seemed to embody the visage of a temptress. Their sensual dance had only stopped when the music did as well. That was rather a downer. Well, it was also at that time his phone vibrated. He took it out and checked from whom, if it was from Uncle. It would be deleted, Lucky, it wasn't. It's from the school about some Murder in the Dark game. Well, he doesn't know the game but, he likes the title, especially killing someone. He already has a target or a few more. It would be awesome.

His attention shifted back to Tsukiko who asked about playing in the dark with her, with that added wink effect. Well, he could never say no from the start. His lips curved into that devilishly smirk of his while licking the corner of his lips. Those golden eyes seemed to have a mystifying glow of its own. "Isn't that our specialty Vampire-chan? Being in the dark..." He reached for her wrist and pulled her towards him to whisper in her ear. "Is more fun." Then, he pulled away and motioned to follow him to where the game would be held.

Devone thoughtfully weighed the phone in her hand after Ryou predictably did not rise to her challenge of placing it back in her bosom. Well, it was worth a try. She did not actually want him to but it would have been interesting. She did realise the logic he had used behind returning it to her hand instead but it was so dull and distasteful in comparison to where her mind had wandered. “Touché” she remarked, her eyes narrowing in disappointment as she carefully slipped the phone back in its hiding spot. "I am no exhibitionist." “Oh?” Devone’s eyes returned to his when her phone was taken care of, wondering if she had perhaps offended him. It would definitely not be the first time her idea of fun had riled up another. "I would not lay a hand on you or any woman, willingly or not in front of anyone and as your escort." Devone simply smiled in response, her gaze piercing behind those glowing contacts of hers. What a safe textbook answer. She had heard such courtesies before in the past she was sure but things did not always go to plan when temptations were lit. People's intentions could be as fickle as a dwindling candle surrounded by darkness. It's only a matter of time... Her thoughts were no longer on teasing Ryou but drifting over memories of former lovers, some of which she had stolen from the clutches of other girls for her own silly whims or crafted revenge. In all those relationships, she didn't believe any affection was real. Words are cheap. she thought bitterly.

Devone fluttered her eyelashes in brief startlement when Ryou leaned forward to whisper privately in her ear. Regaining her composure and twirling a few strands around a single slender finger, she awaited what he had to say in such a position. Part of her was expecting him to express further dislike on her teases. "But if you persists to offer yourself to me even in private, I would not hesitate to partake of you, only for this night." Her lips curled into a devious smile resembling the Cheshire cat. She felt victorious like she had won a game just because he had said something unpredictable, something she was certain those fangirls of his had never been offered before. When he withdrew, her smile stayed behind but thinned. Devone couldn’t really hide how strangely happy she was making her look all the more devilish in her demon costume. Words are cheap... she thought again, her hand falling from her locks of hair. But why do I get the feeling that they mean more coming from someone who says so little like you? True or not, it stroked her ego.

"Shall we, Kim-san, to have fun in this game called Murder in the Dark?" Devone chuckled lightly in a lady-like manner as she accepted his hand to her, her fingers entwining with his like serpents. As far as she was concerned, she owned him for the night and was not afraid to assert that. He had after all, given himself willlingly in both word and deed. It had been such a wild time that she had almost forgotten about that particular event for a few moments. It would be a good opportunity to toy with Akira if that foolish boy was joining in. “Certainly but let’s not get carried away…” Her tone was eerily ominous that one would think this girl really did intend to commit a murder. Well, she did hope she would receive the role.

Devone's sleep was disturbed by three knocks at the door as her eyelids flickered open, ready for the new day. That was when she recalled the other night, that she had fallen asleep in the limousine and must have been carried to her bed to have awakened here in the comfort of her sheets. Tossing her blanket aside, she was relieved to find that neither of her bodyguards had decided to change her into her sleepwear but simply removed the extras that would prove uncomfortable such as the wings and tail. If they had been dumb enough to even attempt such a feat, she would have strangled them relentlessly. “Come in.” she said sitting up in her bed and leaning her back against the headboard, her hands neatly placed in her lap. It was the retired police officer of the two men, Goro who entered her bedroom to present her with breakfast and coffee laid out neatly on a bed tray. He pushed up his glasses and stood upright as his young employer inspected the meal, her chopsticks poking pieces of her traditional Korean breakfast. “It appears adequate.” she stated before beginning to eat but the usual morning peace did not last for long as she noticed Goro staring at her instead of moving away or leaving entirely after his task was complete. Devone continued eating but after finishing a mouthful spoke her concerns, “Speak Goro, I didn't hire you to gawk at me."

Goro opened his mouth but closed it again, taking caution in his choice of words over such a delicate matter. He realized he should probably jump right to the point, beating around the bush would only test Devone's patience. "We've located the suspect Chey in Osaka, Momodani. Police records have also led us to the conclusion that he is primarily responsible for the increasing homicide rate in the area. He has managed to evade capture at every sighting." Devone gently dropped her chopsticks to the side of the tray, picking up her coffee to purse her lips and blow the surface. "How careless," she said before slowly taking a sip and continuing conversation. "Have you uncovered more intel on his background? I would like to know if we are dealing with an assassin or a psychopath." The way the two talked was comparable to a child reporting his grades to a parent in fear of a spanking with the older man taking the role of child and Devone the strict parent. Goro had never been on the receiving end of Devone's punishments in comparison to his assigned criminal partner Isaac but he was always careful when the subject was the mysterious passing of Chia Kim, Devone's mother. It would be understandable if she were to become more easily aggravated and lash out at him if he weren't. It was also the reason he was the one to report the details more often than Isaac, the other man lacking tact at times.“Yes, of course.” Goro's report continued through the morning routine until the time came for them to leave the mansion for Devone's school attendance.

Devone's blue eyes stared with such intensity ahead of her as she sat in the limousine with both bodyguards seated at the front by her orders. She desired to be left with some space and her thoughts, spinning like gears and clockwork for her next scheme. Somewhere in the midst of it all. she realized that pursuing this lead further and getting closer to solving the case would be the most dangerous game she had ever dared to trifle with. She wanted nothing more than for the truth to be uncovered, to rid the stain on her family name and for those who judged her mother to shut their filthy mouths but she did value her life too. Devone could bribe for this truth to be the most known story, for the suicide report to be buried and rise above the need to kill. There would be no turning back if she were to decide to go through with this. But vengeance is sweeter than sorrow. Her mind was made up, a sinister smile spreading across her face as she imagined the hell this man Chey would endure.

Isaac stopped the hummer limousine outside Airdalen's gates, Goro opening the door for Devone with a black umbrella to keep his employer dry. They walked in complete silence, Goro escorting her until they had reached shelter after passing a few students along the way (Kei, Gen). Devone overheard whispers along the journey, some classmates eyeing her and her company noticing the tall, dark-haired and formally dressed bodyguard at her side. It made Devone want to snicker at their petty gossip. They're just jealous I live with two handsome men and they can't even seduce one's attention for 5 minutes. "Lady Kim, should we notify your father of our findings?" Goro asked, Devone turning away to head inside the auditorium with a clear definite answer. “No, father stays out of this.” she said coldly as she walked away from him without looking back or providing any parting words.

Devone did not want to look too distracted from her immediate surroundings which could lead to an embarrassing display of clumsiness so she looked around to observe the other students in attendance so far this morning. She recognized her fellow senior and Halloween date Ryou first, seemingly absorbed in a book and avoiding the masses as per usual. Yet, her heart did not flutter despite the previous night's intimate teases. The two seniors were to be strangers again as if nothing had transpired between them.
The other serious male she spotted was Aeon but where is that overgrown child (Cassiopeia)? she briefly wondered, those two as thick as thieves and barely ever apart. Almost as if they can't function in normal society without each other. Devone could imagine Cassiopeia getting carried away with her naive kindness and Aeon as blank as a new canvas without that girl's brightness.
The spitting image of a foreign student, senior Arietta beside an unknown boy (Rocco) who looked foreign as well. Well, birds of a feather flock together. She did not know much about Arietta except that she was recently given the position of club president for the drama club and considered popular by their peers.
Last but not least, her gaze reached the brat (Akira) who did not deserve a place at Airdalen playing peek-a-boo or whatever with another foreigner (Bishop). It was almost astounding where all these foreigners were coming from and being welcomed with open arms. Devone did not receive the same courtesy when she was new in her sophomore year from Korea. Her egotistical attitude made her temporarily blind to the reason as to why.
She was about to walk down the aisle for an appropriate seating arrangement but the very sight of Akira was too irritating to ignore. There is a little itty bitty amount of time left before the assembly starts to toy around, isn't there? she thought, slowly approaching him and his acquaintance (Bishop) with casual, confident strides. Devone stopped walking, standing in front of them to serve as the first being that the blonde male (Bishop) would see once Akira or the other decided to remove the hands acting as a blindfold. "Funny seeing you here..."An absolute joke. "Are you stalking me?" she subtly taunted, a plain smile on her face as if she was only initiating friendly banter but it was much much more.

Far off day dreaming about the night before, Bishop was rather oblivious to his surroundings. He gazed up at the rafters of the auditorium absentmindedly. Being so young and on the cusp of so many new experiences, his mind raced with the possibilities of what could happen. He had swimming to look forward to, girls, mastering his second native tongue that was Japanese. So much to learn an experience he was almsot overwhelmed with the bright and positive hopes and dreams of what could be. <I really think I'm going to like it here.> He would've thought further but his vision was suddenly blinded by a pair of hands.

Reflexively, he learned back into his seat hearing someone's voice. "Guess who!" Bishop blushed deeply by the sudden surprise, being thrown for a real loop. With his mind racing, Bishop's eyes dashed back and forth frantically trying to come up with a solution. It was clearly someone he knew, and they spoke English. The voice sounded male which somewhat narrowed it down to a degree but he was drawing a real blank right now. Of all his acquaintances, he couldn't think of any really strong bonds he's made with other boys in school. "Aaaahhhh- uuuuhhhhh- ummmm-" He started to fidget at the mystery person (Akira) continued to hold his eyes shut until he got it right.

<How could I be so forgetful!? Ok, think~!!! I've met Mioda-san, Kon-san, Arietta-senpai and- no~ Those are all girls! Think think!!> Most of the males that came to mind were from the swimming club. But none that for sure matched the voice. "U-uummm...... K-Kogari-? No wait..." He almost blew his shot and guessed wrong. But that's when a spark hit him and a person came into mind. Akira!!

Eyes widening with the sudden realization, he wondered what he hadn't figured it out sooner. The boy did have a lighter voice than the average junior male, but many were at different stages of puberty. So that was to be expected. Also, he had just remembered that he (Akira) was from the U.K.! That solved it! He smiled and tilted his head back ready to answer. "I got you! It's Blake-san!" He was rather confident in his answer but was still a tad bit afraid that he might be wrong. A second voice however caught his attention very quickly.

"Funny seeing you here...Are you stalking me?" He froze.... Eyes still covered seeing as the new person (Devone) came in immediately after he answered giving little time for his fellow junior (Akira) to reply back. <I definitely KNOW that voice.... Could it be?> The woman was from the past, his childhood really. Could it be- Devone? Without his eyes he reflected back on his memories. Their parents meeting up at several vacation spots, him and Devone playing together as children- he always followed her lead almost like a little brother. Years ago they broke contact, from his recollection their families' scheduled got a bit hectic with his father deploying and her (Devone's) family business.

He would raise Akira's hands if she hadn't already. Blue eyes sparked to life seeing the face of his long lost childhood friend. His heart instantly became elated to find that Devone was attending Airdalen too.

"DEVONE~!!!! Bishop shouted with extreme joy and excitement sure to grab a lot of people's attention. He lunged forward with his arms open and wrapped the infamous girl in his arms. He squeezed her tight and stood up, raising Devone until her toes barely skidded on the floor. "OHMYGODIVEMISSEDYOUSOMUCHHOWAREYOU~" His Japanese was extremely quick talking to Devone while he nuzzled into her cheek with his own as happy as can be. You could littel hearts floating up from the two of them as a single ray of sunshine peeked up and shown directly on Bishop and Devone whom was in a very compromising position. For anyone and everyone in the school, this was a prime opportunity; Bishop had no idea what he was effectively doing. Setting her (Devone) down now he backed off keeping his hands on her shoulders. He stood now looking down at her with eyes closed in a wide adoring smile.

"Blake-san! You know Devone!? That's amazing!! Me and were became good childhood friends a long time ago! I'm so glad that we got to meet again~!' Bishop pulled Devone into a tight hug showering with love and affection, now a rainbow with clouds appearing above them. The scripture 'friendship' appeared in red along the rainbow. "I'm so~ jealous of anyone who has Devone as a senpai. She's the best- EVER!" This teenage boy, being so close to 'Ursula' loudly giving her praises, showering her with hugs and physical contact while speaking her first name without any formal use. Even accidentally spilling out some dirt exposing that they've known each other from a while ago, was possibly making massive blows to Devones' reputation and even his own. He showed loudly how much of a foreigner he was, extenuating that she (Devone) was a foreigner too in case anyone has forgotten.

Finally letting go of his old friend (Devone) Bishop closed his eyes in a wide smile, scratching the back of his head with a laugh. "Sorry, hehehehehe. I just couldn't help myself, Devone-er. Devone-Senpai-" He chuckled having to actually call her that seeing as it sounded silly. He didn't think that they needed to be so formal. They were still close friends, right? "Devone-senpai and I hadn't seen or heard from each other for years!" He held up his arms to get the point across that it had been so long. Bishop finally settled down ending with a wide smile and closing his eyes, turning from Devone to Akira. "Isn't that right?" He turned to ask her (Devone). He had no idea what exactly he had just done. Students around them had varied reactions. Some were extremely amused, others stared in shock or even jealousy. But the consensus was, that Bishop might have just dug his graves by crossing Devone so blatantly and so publicly.

Eyes shifted between the trio wondering what was going to happen next. It was like watching a train wreck unfold in front of the whole school.

Johnny “Jay” Farelli

Johnny’s chiseled arms pushed one of the auditorium’s side doors open. On the path from his locker, it was the closest entrance, even if it was a little unorthodox. It seemed like yesterday since the foreigner was here last, probably because it might as well be yesterday that he was here, bopping balloons with classmates. He found it funny to consider if the balloons were somehow the source of his aching head. Along with his backpack, Johnny had procured the concert ukulele from his locker, a point a certain higher being had neglected to mention.

The first one Johnny noticed among the entering students was Johnny’s own Senpai, Ryou. “Ryou-san, what is up my man?” he greeted as he held a fist out to bump. He had half a mind to use a secret handshake he and the boyz used to use on a daily basis, but he caught himself. No Japanese person would know the secret handshakes of the WC. “Weather’s kinda shit, ain’t it?” he commented in a way akin to small talk. Anything to ignore the self-induced headache.

Tadashi was the second person Johnny noticed, for he entered via the main doors with a pink-haired maiden. “I’ll catch ya later, Ryou-san,” He nodded before moving up. “Hey, I never got to introduce myself,” he extended a hand to shake with Tadashi and Casseiopia as he approached. In his now-well-practiced specific Japanese phrase, he said, “My name’s Johnny, but you can call me Jay.”

Regardless of whether or not the handshakes were returned, Johnny slipped into an empty seat and produced the concert ukulele from its case. The instrument looked so tiny in his hands, but his strong fingers met their frets almost effortlessly. While waiting for the teachers, Johnny felt he needed to loosen his fingers. With very fast finger-picking, he played Rondo Alla Turca. “As old-hat as it is, even a ghetto boy’s gotta know the classics,” as Avery’s father always said. Mozart’s bit translated on nylon strings did make for very good practice.

It was good to get the practice in. The only times he had to practice without his parents knowing were on occasions where his parents were out, or when he managed to sneak the instrument out to a park. He paused only to glance at the yellow-haired boy Johnny had seen before. He didn’t recall getting the boy’s name. He’d have to remedy that sometime today. The blonde boy was being greeted by the white-haired girl who took that hit for the blue-hair, and was now hugging a black-haired girl... it kinda looked like the pop-star's cousin at a distance.

That girl the blonde boy was hugging, wasn’t that Ryou’s date? Johnny couldn’t really tell. Or was it that other guy’s date? Then again, it was tough to tell in the dark... Man, I gotta learn names and faces quick. He’d get a better chance in an actual class, however. For now, he wanted to get some practice in before whatever was happening in the auditorium. For now, Rondo Alla Turca continued.

There was this drop of sadness blooming inside of her. Cassiopeia knew that Tadashi has the freedom to answer no. She won't force him if that was the case, but it doesn't mean she can't be disappointed. Her imagination was already traveling light years ahead of the present time. Tadashi playing with everyone in the Music Club or seeing him perform a recital during one of the school's events. It was really an exciting and wonderful thing, because it would be a shame if someone as talented as he is would not be recognized. That was her current thought process when in reality Tadashi has yet to answer her, and as if sensing her distress. She felt his hand on her shoulder as if assuring her. She glanced at it briefly and when she heard his positive answer. Her face was like a light bulb slowly being illuminated into like of a sun. Her smile was so bright as she nodded happily. "Of course! I'm sure everyone would be happy to have you!" There was not a hint of doubt in her words as Clio joined in agreement while energetically bouncing up and down. "Clio sure! Tadashi member! Clio sure! Clio!"

She giggled lightly at Clio's actions before looking back at Tadashi properly with that gentle gaze of hers. "I'm really glad you'll be joining Tadashi-kun." At that point, Tadashi spoke about them going to the auditorium. She had that bewildered expression for a moment before remembering what was happening there. "Oh! Yes! Let's go!" She was quite an expressive person, so all of her emotions can be seen freely without any restrictions. "Clio! Message received Clio! Message from Aeon! Clio! Read or not, Clio?" She looked at the pink ball for a moment and noticed that Tadashi was packing his instrument. "Excuse me for a while, Tadashi-kun. Go ahead, please read it Clio."

At her permission, Clio began to read the message even with Tadashi present. "Good morning, Cassiopeia. I have arrived at school. Meet me at the Auditorium. I will be seating at the front row. Clio end of message! Clio!" She nodded in thanks of what Clio did. "Thank you, Clio." She then released a small sigh afterwards. "It wouldn't hurt him to text a bit more lively instead of being on point. He could put some smiley faces so, it won't be boring." She pouted a bit at that and then looked back at Tadashi with a smile. "Don't tell Aeon, I said that, okay Tadashi-kun?" Whether she was earnest in her favor or asked so in a playful manner, there's one thing for sure, she was speaking her mind with good reasons behind it. "Shall we go?" She asked him and then, they went on their way.

It was still raining and Tadashi offered for them to share an umbrella. She was thankful for that because, he saved her from being scolded by Hotaru and Aeon, especially when she forgot her umbrella in the car. Her car was allowed entry inside, so she didn't have to walk through the grounds earlier. She gathered Clio in to her hands as they walk together. There were some students that greeted her and she greeted them back in her cheerful and sincere nature. There were a lot more students that seemed to look and request her attention with a simple greeting. But, she was completely oblivious unlike Tadashi about the talks of him and her being together. To her, there was nothing wrong with her being with other men, especially when her intentions were purely friendship. Plus, Tadashi was a gentleman as far as she could see, so she was perfectly safe and that was again, her always trustful nature.

They soon reached the auditorium's entrance. There she saw Gen as she perked up noticeably. "Good morning, Gen-chan!" Her smile was both graceful and warm. It seemed that even the rain appeared to be sparkles of star dust around her. She then looked at Gen's companion (Kei) who was a new person to her. "Good morning as well, my name is Argyris, Cassiopeia." She reached out her hand to him for a friendly handshake whether he took it or not, she smiled at him warmly. "My name is quite a handful, so please feel free to call me whatever comes easy to you. " This was where Clio joined in again. "Morning! Matey! Clio! Morning!" She then introduced the pink mechanical ball followed by a light giggle. "And this is Clio! Well, it's nice meeting you." She bowed her head in an elegant manner that comes easy to her. "I'll see you later Gen-chan!" She was sure the unfamiliar student (Kei) would be fine with Gen by his side.

He entered with Tadashi which earned more gossips, that she was of course, oblivious about. It was quite more than outside, probably because of the students pouring in and Aeon being there. She began looking at the front row for Aeon before a rather, tall person showed before her and Tadashi. She was surprised in a good way, because she never knew there would be someone that can be that high in this school other than Ryou. "Wow, so tall." Her eyes sparkle in awe while Clio now jumped from her hands and tried to bounce as high as this person named Johnny or Jay as he introduced himself. She smiled at him and returned the handshake with hers. "It is nice to meet you Jay-kun! I'm Cassiopeia! Call me whatever you think fits! Are you a new student? If so, let me welcome you to Airdalen. I hope you're enjoying your time here." Her smile never once faltering as her eyes showed her earnest intentions of friendship.

That was then her eyes lingered a bit to the side where she noticed Ryou. She wasn't sure if he saw her but, she gave Ryou, a vibrant smile and a small wave. She also saw Arietta and was about to say hi, but she seemed busy with talking with another student (Rocco), she doesn't know. So, she would do that later and instead looked for Aeon when Johnny left her and Tadashi. She easily spotted the blonde male. "Ah! There he is!" She pointed out proudly before looking back at Tadashi. "I'll have to excuse myself now, Tadashi-kun. Thank you for escorting me. Let's see each other later, okay? I'll look forward playing with you!" Those were not empty words, because that was the truth as she waved him goodbye and went to where Aeon is, but before she could, she stopped midway, because she was startled a bit by a rather energetic greeting. She looked to her side where she finally noticed Bishop, Devone, and her junior Akira. Well, she was not really taken aback with Bishop hugging Devone. She found it a cute thing. Those two were adorable. This is Cassiopeia after all.

She simply smiled and greeted them. "Good morning! Bishop-kun, Akira-kun, and Devone-chan!" She was probably the second one like Bishop who doesn't see anything strange with what happened or even think it was like a ticking time bomb. "It seems you are reuniting with precious friends, Bishop-kun." She was serious in that while smiling at Akira and then to Devone. Well, she should excuse herself since, she shouldn't interrupt such wonderful reunions. "Well, I'll excuse myself now." She then went ahead to where Aeon is. He was sitting there calm as ever and she could see some of the girls stealing glances at him. Well, he is an attractive person. She then stepped in front of the man and greeted him with her brightest smile yet. "Good morning, Aeon!"
