The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 6 authors
As the early morning sun reached it's peak in the sky over Tune Island signifying the start of the afternoon, the regular hustle and bustle of the various sailors and fishermen continued on as normal while a few weary patrons found their way into the Port-side Tavern. It was a rather run down and weathered establishment, yet had a certain attractiveness to it that drew hordes of people in each day. There men from all walks of life and from all corners of the sea gathered and traded stories over a pint o two of ale. Today however, one man had entered these hallowed halls not intending to escape the heat or revel in the stories of the other patrons. No, instead this man had came here hoping to broker information from a loose lipped marine official willing to part way with confidential information for a few extra berries to line his pockets.
"The officers there change shifts at three o'clock, it takes around ten minutes for the others to take there posts." A man adorned in a marine uniform and brandishing the flushed face of a drunkard said.
"Good, HA that's more than enough time. Here's your money, and remember you never saw me alright." Magnus spoke out as he pushed a pouch containing the Berries towards the marine. With a nod the man picked up the pouch and exited the tavern. It was now 12:00 and all Magnus had to do now was wait. The Marines had docked their ships on the far side of the docks, and that section of the port had been sectioned off for Marine personnel only. Due to that they always had guards posted making it near to impossible to get in without an ace up your sleeve, one which Magnus just acquired for a hefty sum.
Magnus had thought about this for a long time now. He had always wanted to leave the Island and become a pirate, yet he lacked to means to do so. Then it came to him, what better way to start out as a pirate than to steal directly from the Government itself. He had gotten in touch with a salvage off the island, and he together they arranged to meet up and sink a stolen Marine vessel, then they would both cash in on the salvage and go their separate ways. It was the perfect plan, and it was already in motion.
However, he had to be specific. He needed a rookie crew. If he joined an experienced crew, the infamy of his would rise two-fold and he would definitely be caught in many troubles ahead. Also the crew had to have some more intelligent people, those who go into sea without any knowledge of the danger will surely get themselves kill in the hour. There were some promising individuals but none of them fit his criteria. Not until he watched what seemed to be an underhanded transaction happening in front of him. "Oya oya, that is very interesting~" He watched as the marine officer left in the most shady way and what was left was a green-hair kid sitting at the table in front of him.
"Hey brat, aren't you a little too young to be doing underhanded things with the marine officer. You know corroborating with officers will only to lead you to trouble." He was trying to get the kid's attention. "Also you should have done these things at less populated place. You may have fooled the drunk masses, but you would never know who may just be watching." He met the boy's eyes with a chilling smirk. "I wonder how much I could make if I decided to reveal this treachery to the lieutenant of the base. Kakakaka"

~ "I'm guessing there's tons of deaths outside of the ship.
But...I won't be allowing that fate for anyone from our ship" ~
- Marine Vice-Admiral Shin Shiroi
He stood aboard the unsteady, wooden ship. It was a weekday, meaning that he was forced to patrol the seas. Sad, for a Vice-Admiral like Shin Shiroi. But..the blue-haired man didn't care. He was free whenever he was told to patrol. He'd gaze on the seas, watch creatures swim around, and enjoy the tides pass by underneath his ship. Or...he'd sleep in the mast, observe the marines, and leave the ship for a while to go sightseeing.
But today, Shin didn't feel up for any of that. His instincts just told him that a new threat had arrived. And he didn't like that type of feeling. Nevertheless, he took his job seriously today. He wasn't in the mood to go slacking off, and he definitely didn't like the idea of his whole crew killed and beaten, neither his ship all wrecked by the mere threat that had just peaked his interest and instincts.
Taking a seat on one of the masts, Shin looked and watched as the rest of his crew-mates continued working, just to run this ship.
He sighed, then said, "This work better pay off. If it weren't for these sharp feelings of mine, I'd probably be sleeping up at the flagpole. And I hope my instincts are right...they're killing my brain, simply telling me that something has come up. If not, then all this work would be wasted to nothing". He watched, as the tides rolled past the mass of wooden planks nailed together. The marines were certainly hard workers. Shin was glad he got to see this sight, as a motivation. If he were a pirate, then he'd probably be a crook, a somebody that lay as low as to beg for mercy. All of his skills were given from being a marine...not a pirate. But then again, there were some pirates that were pretty thoughtful. This mixed up Shin's thoughts, and in the end, Shin looked at most pirates with a neutral glance.
He took up the map that one of the marines had handed him, and looked at the nearest town.
"Freedom Pont....", he muttered under his breath. The town of many uncivil beings, free from the bonds of law. Free from everything. But...that was a bad thing. He turned to the other town that was pretty close to it.
"Tune Island...". Another town that didn't have much for politics, but still was under the surveillance of marines. He sighed, and carefully placed his fingers around his face in the uplifted position of a 'Face-Palm'. Finally making his decision, he said, "On to Freedom Pont! There's many things we'll have to do there!". The marines shouted back a positive reply, and went back to work. Shin smiled. This was the power of teamwork. But there were, indeed, some things that only one person could fulfill.
Before she had left, she had one of the people on the island who owed her a favor forge her a nice durable chain link whip. Little heavier than what she was used to, but she managed with it. As she sat in her boat feeling the miniature waves rock her boat, she kept an eye out for an islands that came into view. The sooner she set foot onto land, the better off she'd be.
Suddenly, a large merchant ship came into view. They saw her boat and slowed down. "Are you stranded miss?" Here was her chance. "Sort of. I left my island to see the world..but all I have is this boat and a little water." The merchant vanished and returned with whom she figured was the captain. "Are you a pirate!?" She didn't consider herself a pirate, even though she more than likely had a bounty on her head. "No sir."
The captain nodded. "Alright, We're heading to Tune Island and we can drop you off there. That work for you?" She nodded. "Alright, bring her aboard!" A rope ladder was lowered and she climbed onto the merchant ship. "What's your name girl?" "Konan. Thanks for the help." As the crew got back to work, she smiled. That was easy..now I wonder what Tune island will be like?
The setting changes from The World to Tune Island
He was however forcefully grabbed by the shoulder and turned "Stop making a fuss bout nothing!" said the gruff man who was holding him "Ya are Grabthern's kid right?" asked the man. Slightly hurt by how he was referenced Nes nodded "Yes, but my nam..." "Great take this box, I need someone to deliver it to his mansion, so you can grab it" Nes was handed an heavy wooden box by the the brute who interrupted him "And be a good boy and deliver that to your father." he tapped Nes's shoulder right before turning and pushing him in the right direction "And be sure that you do that fast!" the guy added.
"And I was having such a nice day" he though to himself. But he still kept walking to the direction of his house, or mansion as the idiot said. "Stupid sailors, always thinking I'm a delivery boy" Nes kept muttering to himself and continued his walk to the other side of the harbor.
Of course..leave it to a bunch of men on a ship to try and hassle a woman for this... "Back off boys..or you'll get hurt." The man walked up and placed his hand on her shoulder. "You're coming with us!" Suddenly her hand flashed across to her chain and she slung it across his arm, ducking and twisting it behind him.
"you should know better than to hassle someone before you know how weak or strong they are...stupid!" She kicked him away and watched him stumble across the deck, turning to her. His face was one of rage and embarrassment. "Now get away or I'll make you all bleed!" The man rushed her and she unfurled her chain, whipping it forward and watching it slam into the mans face. he stopped and fell backwards to the ground.
"How many more do you want to feel pain before you get the idea? Hmm?" The rest kind of waved their hands and got back to work and she relaxed once again until she heard the captain yell. "Land! Tune island straight ahead!" She sighed in relief. Just in time..I'll have to swipe a couple drinks to compensate for this mess.
βAhh~ so this is Tune Island, huh?β Shalua mused aloud, quickly making her way down the dock past several other workers and sailors after gathering her belongings in her rucksack. Her high-heeled geta clicked with every step she took, a heavy clunking noise being made upon the wooden docks. The young woman had very high hopes of gathering a few more provisions before she departed, also wondering if she could find any information about navigational tools and practices in the local area. She didn't make it very far.
βHOLD IT!β An obnoxious voice barked out, causing Shalua to hunch over in frustration. She looked over her shoulder to see the dock authority and his minuscule lackey with a clipboard rushing towards her. βYou there! Girl! You didn't pay the fee for docking your ship at our port!β The man was surely as annoying looking as he sounded: a wide, broom-like mustache, hair curled up like a bulbous scorpion tail, and a beady little set of eyes that always seemed to be crossed no matter what angle you caught him from. βThe price is five thousand Berries!β
Shalua's jaw dropped. Five thousand? No way. βUh, I don't have five thousand Berries to pay for that... That's insane.β She retorted, watching the man's cheeks swell up like a balloon.
βTHAT IS THE PRICE THAT MUST BE PAID!β He huffed, stamping his boot along the dock. βAll ships must pay this fee.β
βBut I don't have a ship. I have a boat.β Shalua explained, motioning to her very small vessel. βIf anything, it's an accessory to a ship. How much would you charge for an accessory?β She asked the man, seeing him puffer up for a moment. He shifted his gaze to his subordinate, a minuscule porcine man with a long horse-nose. Neither knew how to respond to this type of questioning, and it seemed that the two weren't used to fielding questions. Typical Marine's it seemed.
βTell you what: I'll pay ten Berries to dock it. Take it or leave it.β
The man puffered up again as his tiny partner stepped in front of him. βYou cannot negotiate dock prices with Port-Master Peekso! They are what they are and will be what they be!β
Shalua leaned forward, startling the little man as she gave him a flick on the nose. βListen here, Little Man: When I get a ship that is the size of that--β She pointed to a large pirate vessel docked beside where this altercation was taking place. β--THEN I'll pay your five thousand Berries. You wouldn't want the Marines to look like common Pirates, now would you? Extorting a poor, innocent girl of all her Berries...β She began to sniffle, her eyes watering as she hid them from her accusers. She began to howl and cry, the two men not knowing what to do.
βFine fine! Ten Berries to dock your accessory!β The Port-Master replied, not wanting her to cause a scene.
βThank you~!β Shalua beamed, completely unfazed as she dropped the ten Berries on the little man's clipboard and whistled as she walked away into town, proudly swinging her arms at a job well-done. βHave a good day, boys!β
βWe've been bamboozled...β The Port-Master said, standing awestruck alongside his tiny partner as they watched the female disappear into the crowd.
"I'd say a hefty sum, but not quite as much as they would make with the price on your head wouldn't you agree?" Magnus said with a toothy grin as he leaned forward in his chair to eye the man. "No, I don't suppose an intelligent man such as yourself would risk being noticed by any marines since the only reason someone would come to Tune was to stay out of sight, wouldn't you agree?"
She ran to the side of the ship and leapt off, a couple of the merchants giving weird and concerned looks. Still, they had to focus on bringing the ship and the cargo ashore safely. She swam to the side of the marine ship, her clothes soaking. Throwing her chain up, she missed the first two chances, but snagged a ledge on her third toss and climbed up. As she rolled over onto the deck, she heard a sword unsheathing.
"What do you think you're trying to pull lady?" She glanced up to see a young female marine pointing her sword at her. "Please.." She stood up slowly as to not provoke the young soldier. "Like you stand a chance against me..." She was about to call for help, but her chain shot forth and slammed into her throat. She fell choking to the deck as she gasped for air. "Now where is your storeroom?"
The young marine pointed to a nearby door and Konan wrapped the chain around her throat, dragging her further out on sight to finish her.
"Well, guess you won't need these clothes now..will you?" Tossing the body overboard, she dressed in the marines clothes as she watched the dead girl float out to sea. "Now...time to find that drink that's owed me. Storeroom, here I come!"

~ "I'm guessing there's tons of deaths outside of the ship.
But...I won't be allowing that fate for anyone from our ship" ~
- Marine Vice-Admiral Shin Shiroi
The heavy, wooden ship docked onto the port. The so-called "City freed from the bonds of law", looked like a strange place in Shin's eyes. "Freedom Pont"...was it really that sort of place?
He turned, and watched as some people passed by. This whole town was in...rags. It didn't look like a happy place at all. More like a dump for homeless and poor people, to crawl towards! Outraged by this, Shin stamped his feet back to the ship.
"S-sir?", asked one of the marines. Pushing him aside lightly, Shin quickly dialed the snail telephone, or whatever it was called. He really didn't care.
Picking up the receiver, he said,
"HQ. This is Vice-Admiral Shin. I have come to a stop at Freedom Pont, and have evaluated the town's economy and all that. Final ranking: Terrible. It need immediate support, and require plenty of marines dispatched to watch the streets. Not only that, I also require you to send some of the marine rations to this town. All the citizens are so skinny, I can see their bones showing. I repeat, immediate help required. Either you let this town die, or you help it". He awaited for a response, and indeed received one.
Suddenly, his face turned blank, then he sighed. Slowly placing the telephone back in place, he looked towards the marine.
"We're leaving". The marines looked at him in shock. He spit on the floor, and looked back at the marines.
"HQ refuses to help. They want to leave it. To die". He looked at the telephone with a dark gaze.
"Some deliverers of justice...this world is filled with lies after all", he stated.
He got back up on the ship, and ordered the marines; "I'll have to leave some of you here, just for the town's sake. He pointed at six, elite marines, and announced, "You six will stay. I entrust this town to you, and I hope you all can help them from the dark". The marines saluted, and hopped off the ship. It was pretty common, but Shin always thought that the marines weren't even such good people.
Trying to erase that thought, Shin sat on the mast, and ordered, "Let's get to Tune Island. I want to see, what has happened to that place too". With a 'Yes Sir', the marines started to get the ship going, leaving the poor, ragged town alone with six marines that could potentially help them.

"Of course you don't have to say anything to a criminal like me. not like your plan will have any worth to me?" He was bored anyhow, waiting for some sort of opportunity to get to him. Why not just listen to some story by a brat to pass the time.
She opened the door to the storeroom and closed it quickly behind her, staying put for a minute to make sure none of the marines saw her go inside. Sitting behind some barrels of ale, she grabbed some apples and bit into them, sighing contently. Free food and drink and a free ride to..wherever. Got to love that.
She sighed as she grabbed a bottle of ale, opening it and taking a swig. Those stupid marines would never know until it was too late. Even if they tried to arrest her, she'd just beat them up. They didn't look all too tough..just a bunch of ragtag peon soldiers. She could take them with little difficulty.
She put the cork back in the ale bottle. Still, better to not get slack now that I'm this close. She relaxed against the side of the ship, but kept her senses aware.

~ "I'm guessing there's tons of deaths outside of the ship.
But...I won't be allowing that fate for anyone from our ship" ~
- Marine Vice-Admiral Shin Shiroi
He had arrived closeby to 'Tune Island'. It looked like a normal place. Facilities were running, marine operations everywhere, etc. Yet, Shin thought something was up with this place.
"....hold up. Lets dock down there". He pointed down at the dock. A couple of marines were working on something there, but Shin didn't really notice much.
As the ship closed in, Shin noticed something floating on the water surface. Suddenly, something hit against the boards of his ship. A body.
The marines started to tremble. "A-a body. Sir....w-what is going on?", questioned on of them.
Shin looked towards the port with narrowed eyes. Something was definitely up. But the other marines were fine, and it looked like they didn't notice. Shin quickly jumped off the ship, and in light speed, landed atop the dock. The other marines, shocked and surprised, looked at Shin Suddenly realizing who they were in front of, they dropped their tools and formed a salute. Shin nodded his head, and raised his hand to put them back as they were.
He looked around the dock, and noticed some...abnormal evidence. As the ship finally docked, he approached towards something that look like a...chain mark. A broken stone plate, once a part of the streets and roads.
"....an attack?", he questioned. This was definitely, something quite strange. No-one in the marine corps was trained to wield chains, and these marks were far too close to this facility. Could something have happened? It was time for him to start checking out this place.
~ "I'm guessing there's tons of deaths outside of the ship.
But...I won't be allowing that fate for anyone from our ship" ~

He started to approach an old warehouse. Peering through the cracks of the door, he noticed nothing but silence and darkness.
".....", Shin sighed in disappointement. "Ahhh....crap I can't find this person! Maybe it was a docking incident? With chains?". He groaned in frustration. He wasn't having such a fun time.
Shin started to kick his boots around. He didn't like it when things bugged him... Tired of all this, Shin tried to return to his ship to command his marines. Suddenly, he heard a little 'Clink' coming from the ship beside his. Raising an eyebrow, he started to approach the ship. Marines weren't allowed to rest, neither drink from the sound of that 'Clink'.
Entering the ship, as the marines beside him saluted, he started walking towards the entrance of the storeroom. His boots clomped on the wooden floor, and creaked underneath his steps. He slowly creaked open the door, and stepped in. On his right, was a woman in a marine uniform. It was...not prepared right. He could see wrinkles, wrong set-up, etc. This marine...had to be a fake. It all fit in perfectly.
Shin grinned. He had found her.
"Why...hello there. How are you doing? I hope your not...killing and wearing dead people's clothes?".
The setting changes from The World to Tune Island
She shrugged. "Honestly, I have no idea what you mean. I just stopped in here for a bit and found these." It was a horrible lie and one practically anyone could see through, but still..you never know how stupid someone really is until they show you.
She stood up and brushed herself off. "So you must be one of the marines. High ranking I take it? You look different than those others out there..."
She felt the chain on her hip chink as she stood. Is that how he found her? He heard the chain? If that was the case, he was definitely someone who knew their way around a fight. If she ended up fighting him, then it would get very interesting..very fast. "So do I get to know your name before we get pleasantries out of the way?"

Shin grinned. Wide. This was getting interesting. Finally, he could past some fun onto his day-line. This girl...looked like fun. She even killed one of the marines stationed to this port.
With a curve forming on his lips, Shin said, "Well...you could call me Shin. Shin Shiroi. Not sure if you've heard of the name, but at least I've got something to kill time". The curve on his lips started to lighten. He didn't need to know who this girl was. She hadn't proved herself worthy to be called by her name, but she was still someone unknown.
Suddenly, Shin raised his arms, and a bright light flashed in front of him.
"Heavenly Illumination", he mouthed. The bright light flashed from his hands, and started brighten even more. He was using a blinding technique to take her away quickly.
"Well, if this wasn't enough, she's going to be an interesting one", he said. His feet and arms started to blend in with light. He was preparing for more. Shin knew this girl, probably wouldn't give up without a fight. But it was still a piece of cake, one that was in front of Shin, and for him to devour.

Her hand wrapped around her chain and unfurled it from her side. Throwing it across the room, she wrapped it across some of the barrels and pulled, causing them to tip and roll around the room. She jumped on top of one and rolled out the door, trying to keep her balance. The sun was not as bright as it was back in the room and her eyes adjusted quickly.
Falling off the barrel and crashing to the deck, she glanced back at the room. Bright light emitted from the door to the storeroom and as she glanced around, the marines glanced at her as some of them unsheathed their swords. Seems my day just got alot more interesting.
She jumped up and began slinging her chain around. The quicker she took care of these peons on the ship, the sooner she could get off this ship and get away from that particular marine. Something about the way he smirked before reminded her of herself. The desire for excitement and a challenge.

He watched, as barrels rolled and started to leak alcohol at the end of the room. Realizing that the girl had already left, he quickly turned the light off, and started to pace his way towards the deck. With a few clicks coming from the heels of his boots, he walked out of the doorway, only to notice the girl swinging around her chain. She had already beaten some of the marines, and they looked badly wounded. He watched, as the girl once again, wrapped her chains around another marine, and threw him off to the side.
".....". Shin watched, and observed the injuries. Not good, some of them could die. This girl wasn't bad, but....he had to attend to the wounded. Raising his hands towards the prepping marines, he ordered,
"Grab your medical kits and call the ship doctors! Help those in need, immediately". With a 'Yes Sir', the marines left to gather their supplies.
Looking towards the girl holding the chains, he lifted his leg up. Suddenly, in a flash, he appeared before the girl.
"....slow", he observed.
In a blink, his foot swung towards the girl, and hit. She was sent flying towards a brick building. The glow on Shin's leg started to fade, and he dropped his leg back to the floor. Positioning himself back on the spot, he spit light out of his mouth, and turned to her.
"I will tell you something, before I end your pain. Do remember this, even in the depths of hell. I am Vice-Admiral Shin Shiroi of the Marine Corps. I ate the glint-glint fruit, and thanks to that, I am light itself. If you think you can beat me, you're a century too early. Remember, I am the one that killed you. Or...possibly the one to kill you, if your lucky", Shin announced. He looked back at the girl, with narrowed eyes. She was far from beating him, and she didn't deserve acknowledgement. But....he knew if this girl survived, she'd probably become a threat. No....a big nuisance.
The setting changes from The World to Tune Island
She heard someone order the retrieval of medical kits. Great, that didn't take long. Better get moving. She didn't get that chance. All of a sudden, he appeared in front of her, his leg all glowing and shiny.
As the kick slammed onto her, she felt like her chest was being crushed. Such power! She flew off the ship and felt her body crash into a solid building, breaking through to the inside. Once she had stopped tumbling, she coughed up a small amount of blood as she heard him call out to her about him killing her.
No wonder he packs a punch. Vice-Admiral huh? She'd make him pay for that kick someday. She'd have to get much stronger in order to do that though.
As she slowly stood, she noticed she had been kicked into the tavern. Some of the patrons screamed as they ran from the building. Better keep moving before that man decided to come and finish me off. Need to get off this island..or at least hide for awhile. I'll remember you Shin Shiroi.
She glanced at the patrons that actually decided to stay after she crashed inside. couple of them were at the bar and some were at the tables that she didn't crash into. She felt a small trickle of blood drip down her forehead. Damn that marine. She pushed open the backdoor of the tavern and made her way into town to try and find a place to hide. Much as she wanted to beat that smug look of his face, it would have to wait.

"Nothing so heroic or chivalrous, I just intend to steal a ship. I could use a hand if your interested. I cant offer you any pay or anything like that, but a free ride is a free ride am I right?" Magnus then stood and began heading towards the door. "Listen I have a very important appointment with a marine shipyard, if you want to tag along feel free to tag along."
Yorick chuckled once again and left the table. "Be extra careful brat. Good luck with this mission of yours, I am wishing for your success." He left the bar with a smirk and away from Magnus' sights. As he walked down the dirt path, he had noticed that the bribed marine officer was still around the corner and along with him is a companion. "Oya oya?" The two were peeking into the bar and Yorick surely knew that there was trouble. Yorick was listening close and heard something very troubling that may be a hinder to the kid's plan. "Looks like I may have to end up helping the kid after all. Tch, how annoying. And just when I thought I got a free ride without having to do anything." Before Yorick could do anything, he heard a loud crash coming from the tavern. He looked over at the direction but decided to let his curiosity subside thinking the commotion was from a bar fight.
As she returned through the door into the main lobby, she spotted three marines burst in and face her. "That's her. Arrest her! She killed a marine and attacked the Vice Admiral."
She groaned as she grabbed her chain. The marines rushed her, swords drawn. Most of the patrons scattered to the sides of the establishment or outside, but the two at the bar just stood there.
"Get out of my way." Her voice was one of boredom. She knew these marines didn't pose a challenge..and she was right. The fight was over in less that 2 minutes. Her chain was now dripping blood, theirs and hers. One of the marines was dead and the other two were extremely injured.
"Stupid Vice Admiral..sending his cronies after me..AFTER he kicks me into this freaking building. The nerve!" She walked behind the bar and grabbed a bottle, drinking from it. The rest of the people rushed out of the tavern leaving only the three of them. She then noticed the men at the bar were still there, but they were staring at her. "What?"
~ "I'm guessing there's tons of deaths outside of the ship.

He continued to walk down the trail of blood. With the fresh smell of bitter and burnt blood mixed with the air, most marines who were stationed at this dock started to throw up over the side. They weren't even sailing. He looked back, annoyed. They were marines! Strong and proud soldiers, no, dogs of the military. Even if they were dogs, they should have been trained with stomaches of iron and chinned-up proudness. This didn't look like what he imagined.
Looking back at some of the docked marines, they looked really pathetic. Possibly low ranks, but still, undeniably pathetic. His marines were much stronger than this, and he knew this by mere experience. Even as laid back as he was, he could stand worse.
Swinging his shoulders towards where he last saw the girl, he noticed that she had disappeared. Gritting his teeth, but grinning in his thoughts, he said,
"Like I said...she ain't bad. But I wonder how long she'll walk until she falls?".
He started to step towards the wreckage, and noticed the small trail of blood.
"....honestly, I think I hit her too hard?", he admitted. He nodded his head with a very lazy way, and continued to head off, following the trail of little blood drops.
As he arrived to the scene, he slowly crouched underneath the hole he had made after kicking, and noticed three people in the tavern. The girl he had just kicked earlier, some shady dude, and another kid. Staring at the chain girl with a grin, he announced,
"I found you".
With another blink of an eye, he appeared before the girl. As he aimed for her wound, he swung his leg in speed.
A crash appeared before the tavern. Planks and bits of broken bricks shattered from their original places, and started to drop to the hard cement. Hearing the little 'Crack's of contact, Shin appeared out of the tavern once again. Yet this time, he noticed a pair of battered chains, and the girl on the floor. His eyes leaned onto the chains, and he noticed the bend. Turning to the girl again, he noticed that she had the same wound. Nothing different, no extra blood, nothing.
He looked at the girl with concern and suspicion.
"This girl got lucky. That chain dropped right at the perfect moment. But..something's off...can it be? The power of the kings?". He dropped his gaze onto the girl that was still staring up at him in fury. Glaring back at her, he asked,
"What is your name?", he quickly asked. It was acknowledgement.
The setting changes from The World to Tune Island
Still, as suddenly as he was there, he was outside again. Her glare never left him, even as the chains from the ceiling dangled in front of her.
"What is your name?" Was he finally treating her fairly? Like a real opponent? Probably not, but still..it was something. "My name is Konan..Vice Admiral. I'm going to be the master of my fighting style..and no-one, not even you, will stop me." The determination flowing from her was grand. She had the fire to back up her statement and the brass to stand up to a Vice Admiral of the Marines. No-one will stop me..not him..not any pirate..no-one!
She held her glare with his and took another swig from the bottle in her hand.
