Vera looked at Damien who was slunk over and slobbering she laughed and said "I'm building a barrier between us with pillows thanks. i'll keep the window up and talk to you guys before i fall asleep." She is not down for early morning stranger cuddles. She shook him by the shoulders.

"hm-wuh?" He opened his eyes drearily.

"C'mon change of plans. You're sleeping in the truck and we're pressing on." She patted his shoulder as a signal to follow and it took him a bit to understand.

He picked up his tupperware, bong and othersuch and held it close to him as they walk toward the truck.

Leo looked at joffery who was looking at something else. "What is it" she began, then realized it didn't make much sense "that you're looking at"

Joffery pointed and lifted his other hand to his lips.

Leo glanced in the direction and did a double take, there were at least five bunnies about 20 ft away from them. She watched them hopping around and eating grass, she slowly stood up and moved toward the truck for her camera and carrots. She shuffled stuff around but eventually found them. Her footsteps slightly disturbed the rabbits but they continued what they were doing. Leo snapped a couple photos and handed joffery the bag of carrots.

"Watch this" he whispered. He took out a couple carrots and made a strange noise as he distorted his mouth. The rabbits perked up their ears and looked at him. He made the noise again and this time half of the little critters started running toward him.

Leo just sat incredibly still, not daring to even take a photo.

Joffery smiled and hand fed the little guys, petting them all the while. It was like Leo was watching a twisted version of Snow White. Joffery picked one up and handed him to Leo, "it's ok, this one likes you" he grinned.

Leo practically squeaked and held the rabbit carefully, gently. "Ughh, Vera? You should come see this"

Vera practically pushed the half asleep lump of Damien into the back of the truck. "Uh sure..." She replied hushed to Leo. She walked over to see rabbits. "Oh wow, it's been too long since I've seen wild rabbits. the kids always scared them out of the park..." Vera watched as brown, white and spotted rabbits roamed around them, she really like rabbits they looked so soft, maybe because she was still dazed.

Damien's eyes struggled to adjust to the dim lit area around him. The sky was a collage of colors that were even more so heightened due to his extreme intoxication. The bed laid out was so soft. his eyes wandered around, is curiosity the only thing keeping him from sleep.

Joffery Kept making the weird noise, with more rabbits bouding toward him. He would twitch his nose at Leo or Vera and a couple of the rabbits would do the same.

Leo sat and observed, still holding the fluffy guy that Joffery handed her. Was he talking to them? It's one thing to call them over, but to be able to communicate with a wild animal was something very strange.

Finally Joffery stood up, a swarm of rabbits following him whereever he went. "Who has two dollars" A statement more than a question.

Leo had a puzzed look on her face "For what?"

"They want fresh water, it's my understanding that they have machines here which exert food or drink in exchange for worthless paper?" His high must have been wearing off.

Leo snagged her leather bag and threw her wallet at him "There's probably 100 bucks in there, you can get a couple waters."

"Thank you" He looked at the little guys and made the strange noise again "What do you say?" And the rabbits hopped over to Leo and touched their noses to her hand. "Good then, i'll be right back" Joffery went and fetched the waters with the rabbits following, of course. He came back and looked in the truck for a bowl, found one and poured the water inside.

"They really asked for fresh water?" Leo asked, amazed.

Joffery only nodded.

"How do you speak wild rabbit?" Leo questioned.

"We have creatures similar to these on planet Xena, although their languages are not exact we use slight gestsures to help. Most of any living beings laguage is their body and tone"

Leo nodded and let the rabbits that she had been holding to get a turn at the fresh drink. "Could we bring one of them with us?"

Vera smiled lightly. her mood seemed to change like a switch. She eyed a particularly dark chocolate brown one that was a little distanced from the group. Vera watched Joffery's strange gestures and noises and walked quickly to the truck, grabbed her bag and rushed back to see if the rabbit was still there. disappointing she set her bag down and watched the others bounce by.She listened to them intently. She was the point of coming down when she fell silent among the group and took everything into consideration and deep thinking.

Leo observed Vera's strange behavior and soon caught on to what she was doing.

Joffery turned to Leo, "We can't keep a wild animal with us, they need to stay together. It would be a hassle and i really don't see any good space for any of them." His face fell, Leo could tell he wished they could keep just one "It really wouldn't be best, but don't worry, we'll see more on our adventure." With that he placed the water owl on the ground and left a handful or carrots for the little ones to enjoy.

Leo sighed "Yeah, i guess you're right" She pretended to cave in as she winked at Vera once Joffery wasn't looking. She then ran to Vera and asked, "So what will we name him.. Or her.. Whatever gender the little guy is"

Vera hardly noticed the bunny had crept into her bag. "Hmm," she whispered "What about Benny? Like Benny and the Jets?" Vera had a soft spot for classics.

Damien tossed and turned, his dreams turning real shitty.

Leo made a face "BENNY? I mean, i get the classic idea but how about something that doesn't sound like something a grandma calls her grandson named Ben" She thought for awhile, taking her time and observing the rabbit to see if anything popped out. "OU! OU! OU! I have the best idea!" Leo ran to the bunny that she had been holding earlier and picked him/her up, and stealthfully ran back to the truck without Joffery noticing. "What IF, we named one Bonnie and one Clyde? Or Alfa and Omega?" Leo had wide eyes and was practically whisper screaming.

"Sugar and spice? Thats the best i can think of." Vera smiled. the bunnys seemed to not have a care in the world as the hopped aimlessly. For a second she didn't want Joffery to be mad, but then shrugged it off, he was new and it is our car.

"Makes everything nice!" Leo laughed. she hid the bunnies in the corner of the truck "You'll stay back here with them, right? I'll let Joffery drive so he's distracted"

"Yeah, yeah" Vera groaned she hopped in the back where Damien was sleeping. Sugar skipped to the backpacks while Spice hopped over to Damien. It waddled under a stray blanket and hid under it. Vera opened the window and sat up next to it. "Onward we ride, right?"

Leo looked back at her "Guess so" She was in the passenger seat.

Joffery had just put the keys in the ignition and seemed to be having difficulty with knowing what to do. "So, how do we go?"

Leo snorted, "Here, i'll shift gears for you while you steer. Feel those pedals down there? Just push one to go, the other to stop"

Joffery tested this lightly, and they finally started moving 5 miles per hour for about 20 miles.

"You, ugh, can go faster. Actually it's kind of the law to go the speed limit" Leo urged.

Joffery kicked it up to a whole 10 mph.

"A bit faster...Please." Leo was beginning to lose her patience.

Joffery slowly, but finally, reached 35 in the backstreets.

"We're gonna be getting on the highway soon, so you should go about twice this speed once you are" Leo fidgeted with the locked door handle, concerned for everyone's safety with this guy taking the wheel. At least he's a fast learner. "Hey Vera, You all ok back there? Not too many jolts foward with this guys constant push of the brakes?"

"Eh, I've had worse, Damien is still snoozin'" Vera pulled lettuce from her leftover salad and secretly fed it to the bunnies. they were a bit frightened but the sudden movements but oddly became comfortable enough to eat the leafs.

Leo shifted into the correct gear and let Joffery do his thing once they were on the highway then moved to the small backseat and stuck her head out the window, "How are they?" she whispered.

"They're good," Vera responded "Spice is hiding under some blankets but Sugar is eating some lettuce."

Damien bolted up "ALIENS!" He threw his blanket up and a little brown rabbit looked at him. "hwUUAAH!" Damien threw his body in a fit. The rabbit scurried to the corner.

"DAMIEN WOULD YOU CALM THE FUCK DOWN YOU DAMN TWEAKER!" Vera shoved his wiggling body away from her. She quickly hid the bunny out of sight but tossing the blanket over it again, poor baby.

Joffery began to turn his head, "Hey, what's going on out-"

"KEEP YOUR EYE'S ON THE ROAD YOU NOOB" Leo screeched

Joffery spun the wheel causing the truck to turn sharply, he slowed down and evened out. He breathed slowly "That was horrifying, would you take the wheel? I don't need all of us dying because of my reckless driving"

Leo nodded, "Just pull over, GENTLY" She said in a low voice. What about the wild rabbits? Leo fussed, but she would try to keep Joffery busy with Earthy gadgets.
