Nothing has the ability to rise to greatness unless it also has the ability to fall.

The history of the world has many examples of such greatness being torn down and lost forever, but one not so greatly unknown as the fall of demon society. Of course, one can’t really call them fallen so much as… hidden. Thousands of years ago, demons walked the earth, protecting humans from supernatural forces that threatened their way of life (vampires, fae, you name it.) Humans saw demons more as divine than the hell spawn many make them out to be now. They don’t have horns, flesh fallen skin, or grotesquely misshapen forms. They appear in every sense of the word human. They just have a little extra something, that’s all. They are capable of things no human could ever do; they have greater strength, speed, and a prolonged life. Each Demon also happens to posses a power.

The humans started to fear the demons, afraid they would wipe out those they deemed unworthy instead of protecting them as they always have. The demons decided it was no longer safe to stay out in the open. They made sure they disappeared from human’s minds. All history of them is gone without a trace. It was better to protect them from the shadows. Demons formed their own cities and towns, never to be seen by human’s eyes, curtesy of the demons who have such cloaking powers. A council rules over the demons. Each continent a demon city lies on has their own representative, making the council total six. Those six collectively rule together. It wasn’t always that way, however. Not after the council stopped allowing The Nocte ac Die Prophecy to continue it’s cycle.

The Nocte ac Die Prophecy stated that every 150 years, a set of half human, half demon twins would be born into the world— one twin born during the light of the moon, the other during the light of the sun. It's said that the twins have every capability a demon has, yet are stronger. They would be faster. The powers they posses would be on a much more powerful and possibly deadlier scale than those that regular demons possess. Their increased powers are brought upon by their souls intertwining with other demons. This allows their excess energy to travel through others so it does not overwhelm them. These are their bond mates, born on the exact day the twins are brought into the world. These bond mates also possess much more powerful skills. Each twin has between two to three bond mates. Anything higher has never been seen. There is nothing other than their shared birth date that signifies their bond to one another, but fate has never kept them apart from their bond mates for long. They always find one another. After all, they can’t access their greater powers until they do. The sun and moon twins cannot gain access to their demon powers until they have contact with each of their bond mates. Their bond mates cannot access theirs until they have contact with their respective twin. These bond mates are born to protect their twin.

These twins are born to be the head of the council. They are born to rule.

600 years ago, the council decided they’d had enough. They were power-hungry and decided it a wise decision to go against fate. They slaughtered the twins and their bond mates, proclaiming to the demon society that the Sun and Moon twins had gone power crazy, planning on destroying them all, starting with the council. People had no other choice than to believe them. Since then, every 150 years the council seeks out these half-demon children to kill them on the spot, leaving their bond mates to lead a life powerless and unfulfilled. Demons believe it’s for the best. Well, most of them do. Some have passed down the truth of the power-hungry council. Some still believe in the power of the prophecy.

It’s been seventeen years since the last cycle of The Prophecy has occurred. The council promptly stated as they have every 150 years that the twins had been killed. That their society was safe. What no one knows is they lied about it. When the time came for them to find the half-demon twins, it was like any record of their birth had vanished. They’ve spent years trying to find them, but it seemed they’d disappeared into the deep abyss of the human world, slipping through the cracks.

Maybe now fate has a chance.

Our story starts in the small town of Newport, Oregon, where the Sun and Moon twins have been living out their days. Their mother was a human, pregnant and alone, and died during childbirth. The two twins were since separated as babies into the foster system, never once knowing of each others existence. The Sun Twin has lived in Newport nearly all his life. The Moon twin, however, only moved there three years ago into a new foster home. They soon became friends, all the while not knowing just how close they truly are.

In the three years the Moon twin has lived in the tiny town, her and The Sun twin developed a friendship with a rather peculiar boy. The moment she had shaken his hand, he had an outburst of some strange power. The two twins have kept his secret, and they've never been separated since. Turns out this boy was one of her bond mates, unbeknownst to either of them. This friend has no idea he was a demon himself. When his parents gave birth to him, they realized after his powers never manifested that he was one of the bond mates of prophecy and fled the demon world in hopes of giving him a normal life.

Flash forward to present day, when suddenly the twins friend has an outburst of his powers he could not control. It was on a noticeable scale, and happened to capture the attention of the demon community. They figure he's simply a lost demon in the human world. Sometimes it happens. So, the demon council sent out three students from the capital's school in order to find the lost demon and bring him to the community where they could train him at the school all demons go to until they are 20 years old. This school is where they hone their powers and skills in order to fight other supernaturals to protect the humans.

These three students are being specially trained, hence the early job even though they are not yet graduated. These three have no powers. They are pushed further and harder, focusing mainly on their increased speed, strength, agility, etc. They are the bond mates. The council figured their more suited to such work. They blend more easily into the human world.

Soon enough, fate works it's magic and brings all the pairs together, all powers manifesting in an unpredictable way. Unfortunately, the three students cannot return empty handed. In hope of helping the twins figure out their powers and who they truly are, they have no choice but to bring them to the capital where they are enrolled in the school. It is both the safest and most dangerous place for them to be. Can the twins and their bonded keep safe, or will history repeat itself in another bloody mess?

● Please make your characters seventeen. There birthday has to be on the same day, so let's make it February 2nd.
● Please use real face claims. Just tell me in the OOC who they are and I'll add it to the front page.
● Once you figure out what ability you want to use, please state so in the OOC so we get no double ups. I will also need to approve it. It's supposed to be pretty powerful, but make sure it's not going to let you get too God like, if you get me.
● If you need a character skeleton, just ask and I'll send you one; I'm not picky with them. Just be sure to include basic character info, personality, history, etc.
● Reservations will last 48 hours, please send in at least a WIP during that time.
● Please, no god modding, Mary Sues etc.
● Just to make sure ya'll read this, the reservation password is your favourite character, wether it be someone from a movie, tv show, book, or even one of your own!
● No killing anyone's characters or harming them, at least not without their consent.
● Romance is great! Just don't go into some of the "details" that may occur.
● Try and include everyone! If you're stuck for ideas, message me and I can help out.
● Post should be 3 paragraphs and above 500 words. I want you active! Please try to get a post in maybe once/twice per week.
● This isn't necessarily first come first serve. I may just ask you to send me a sample post just to see your skill~
● Feel free to send me a message with any questions or concerns you may have. ^^ Once all the character's are reserved, I'll post a lot more information about possible direction to take this rolelay in, how we are going to start, more info on the academy, etc.
● Just a quick note, this is a remake of a very old roleplay I made on my previous account. I reworked it quite a bit.
● If you want a role and all the spots are taken, please message me! If you pitch me a character I think will add to the roleplay, I may create a spot for you. I just didn't want too many roleplayers because it gets hard for some people to catch up with so many posts so they just disappear, which then causes the roleplay to go wonky and stop.
● Also, don't feel the need to stick to the little stories and character titles I gave to each character! It's just a jumping off point. If you have a better idea of something, just let me know. ^^
● It's also okay if you want a second character. I just ask you make it the opposite gender (unless, of course, your first character character is agender, gender fluid, etc). They can just be little side characters that you create entirely on your own, if you want.

Alice sat up from her position on the ground with a loud groan, swatting her hands half-heartedly towards Jasper. Soon enough the new girl Lolly and Matt had come beside her too. Yep, now Alice was uncomfortable. Bending her head down so she was looking at the ground, she felt as if she was going to throw up. She was no longer in the same amount of pain she was, but her body still held a weird feeling. It nearly felt like she was in a slow hazy dream where all her muscles ached like she had gone on a twenty hour hike. Everything was internal. There seemed to be no external effects.

Rubbing the back of her neck, she said to Lolly, "I'm good, I just uh-" pausing for a moment, Alice didn't know what to say. I mean clearly most of them saw what happened, but Alice didn't know what it was. Her mind was trying to rationalize the situation. Maybe Mel had one of those odd hand buzzers meant to prank people, but Mel really didn't seem like the type to play practical jokes, nor did she think that was some sort of buzz or electric shock. "I just fell over that log, I'm fine."

Looking up only as Mel spoke, Alice cocked her head to the side slightly. From her words it was clear she knew what was going on. Alice only wished she'd enlighten her. She was going to say something, but Matt spoke before her. "I didn't pass out, I tripped," she muttered towards him, not exactly arguing the 'go home' idea. It would be unfortunate for him and Teddy, but Alice wasn't trusting of this whole situation or these new people. All this was a bit too twilight zone.

As Alice began to push herself off the ground, still feeling entirely too sluggish and over-sensitive to the feel of anything, she was quickly knocked back after the worse thing imaginable happened. Instinctively covering her ears from the loud screech, Alice had felt like her whole world had dropped from under her. Turning to crawl towards Matt, she had to stop when a loud crack of thunder rang out way too close to home. Matt looked around, more fearful than Alice had ever seen him. A blue buzz coated his hands, and a strong sense of déjà vu hit her. The only time in her life that something this peculiar had ever happened around Alice was the first day she had met Jasper and shook his hand.

Fuck.

Stumbling until she could stand up, she never took her eyes off Matt, overwhelming concern taking over her. "Matt-" she said softly, getting caught off guard suddenly by another large crack as a log snapped in half and a nearby table caught on fire. Okay. So this was pretty bad. She barley had time to react before her friend took off into the woods behind him.

Alice tried stumbling after him, but it became increasingly harder to hold herself up. She'd never felt so weak. This was so not the fucking time for her body to give out on her. Instinctively reaching out to rest her hand on a tree and lean her weight on it, she lifted her hand to wipe her nose as she felt a drop of blood trickle out of it. She didn't even have time to process that little fact before she looked over to a guy who had his phone up recording the events of what was happening.

Making herself move from the tree, she angrily yanked the phone from the guy’s hand, threw it on the ground, and weakly stomping on it. It was enough that after a few times, it had cracked. The guy in question- she couldn't remember his name- angrily reached to grab her arm in order to yank her, yelling at her "what do you think you're doing, bitch?” Alice's muscle memory of defense kicked in despite her weak state, as she grabbed his wrist and twisted him into a painful hold. "Come on, you can be more clever than bitch" Alice huffed out, until a weird rush over came her, like that cold feeling you get after a vaccination. Except it was everywhere.

Suddenly, it was like all the pain and slow sluggishness that Alice had felt previously was gone. She actually felt better than before. A little stronger. Rejuvenated was the word. It shocked her so much that she quickly loosened her grip on the boy, who dropped to the ground like he'd been hit by a car, groaning as he did. She knew she hadn't grabbed him that hard.

Barley taking time to process that, she took off into the trees towards the direction she thought Matt went. She knew these woods like the back of her hand, and took the obvious straightforward path. Soon enough, she skidded to a stop as soon as the familiar brown haired boy came into her sight. She kept a safe distance, for both him and her. The sparking from his hands still hadn't ceased. If she went to approach him any closer, she was afraid he'd run off again.

"Matt, look at me," she spoke to him, bending down as he did when he put his hands in the mud. She didn't know what to do in this situation. She figured the best thing was for him to probably calm down. Hopefully. "Stop focusing on what's happening and look at me," she pleaded.

Jasper actually glared at Mel after he told him to calm down. Didn’t she know that was the worst thing to tell someone? It was what made someone be far from calm. If Alice was her friend, I bet she would not be calm. She may not give a fuck about Alice, but I do. I can’t believe she even assumes Alice is fine. We sure as hell will be going home. Jasper’s hands turned into tight fist. Mel was just adding fuel to his anger. He had a lot to be anger about. His parents with their nonsense, and he was still mad because of Austin. He had to take a deep breath as he felt himself losing control.

He calmed slightly when Matt replied to her. A smirk graced his lips when Matt agreed they should leave. Although, Jasper’s teeth pressed together when Matt bumped Lolly. There was that odd feeling again. It was the third time this night. What the hell was going on? He knew it was not the alcohol. He didn’t get to think about it much as all hell broke loose. His eyes just stayed on Matt. Slowly he stood up and went to get his jacket. He slid it on.

Luckily Alice hopped into action before he did. He kind of still stayed still as he was in shock. His mind just knew to get their things before he left. It was something normal to do. Although, he slowly begun to walk to Alice when she went over to some guy. He stopped once again when Alice made it very clear she had things under control.

Matt was in the back of his mind, but Alice was in immediate danger or could be soon. He had already taken note of what direction Matt ran off to. It would not be too hard to find him. He could track him. As soon as Alice ran off into the woods, Jasper followed. Though, he had to say something to the trio they were about to leave first. He did not want them to follow. He turned around to run backwards in the direction Alice went in. It was a slow run for now. The last thing he wanted was to trip.

Don’t follow us. The last thing we want is your help. We’ve been taking care of each other for years. Bye,” he yelled at Teddy, Lolly, and Mel before disappearing into the woods. By the time he caught up to and found his friends, they were near each other. Matt had his hands in some mud. He slowly walked over to them and squatted in front of Matt. He glanced at Alice and gave her a worried smile.

Matt, it will all be okay. They’re just powers, I have them too. Let’s just go home and we can all talk about it. My parents are gone for the night…I have some things to tell you guys too…” he said. He decided he would need to tell them about what his parents said. Not telling them the truth was torture and seemed to be needed right now.

xxxNothing was making sense in Teddy's mind. First, Wonderland girl is falling, talking about being smited, Eloise and Wonderland's other friend were concerned, and Teddy just had whatever just happened with Matt happen. He felt like his head was spinning trying to keep up with all the different things happening.

xxxMelanie was being calm in the situation which was normal since she's always calm, but she seemed to understand what was going on. She always had a grasp on these types of situations, but none of this made sense. It was like he suddenly had powers. A demon having powers is common, but Teddy wasn't common. He was one of the protectors of some twins who died years ago so he wasn't suppose to get any abilities. Unless... no that's not possible. The twins were killed years ago.

xxxThe thought didn't seem so crazy when Matt suddenly bumped into Eloise trying to get to Alice. Teddy was about to reach for him, trying to stop the group from leaving when Teddy heard screaming. Matt started clutching his ears like the music was too loud. The other partygoers began to scream, dropping all of their cell phones. Teddy could feel the electricity in the air and the source was coming from the boy in front of him. The fear on Matt's face was all too familiar. The feeling that something bad was going to happen and it would be his fault. Teddy knew that feeling.

A spark of electricity flew from Matthew's hands, striking a nearby log and a snack table. The loud crack of the table breaking brought the attention of everyone at the party. All of them were staring at the group of six. When cell phones started recording, Teddy knew it was only a matter of time before the video would end up on the internet. The look of horror on Matt's face increased, realizing he just did that. He was the twin. Matthew was one of the lost twins. Before he could reach for him, Matthew was gone. He ran into the woods, out of sight. Teddy was about to run after him when Jasper stopped them.

"Don’t follow us. The last thing we want is your help. We’ve been taking care of each other for years. Bye!"

"You're gonna need us, asshole!" Not one of his best lines, but it was true. If Matt was also a lost demon, they would need Teddy and his team. Not that he has any experience, but he watched how Micah struggled with his powers when he was younger. As a teen, he has better control, but that wasn't without years of practice.

Teddy wanted to follow the group. He would have, but some SOB decided to be smart. "I'm gonna get so many hits for this! Hello celebrity status!" If this video made it online, it would be harder for demons to travel into the human world. All of the teenagers kept staring at the group, still recording. All Teddy wanted was for them to leave, to disappear, to go to sleep. A throbbing feeling came to his head. One by one, each teenager dropped. They started passing out as Teddy stared at them. In a few minutes, every attendee was on the ground. A pain filled Teddy's head. He dropped to his knees clutching his head, screaming at the top of his lungs. His powers were working and it hurt. His breathing was labored as he got out a few sentences to his teammates, hoping they would be able to understand.

"Go.. spike the beer... make... look drugged... hallucinations... destroy sim cards... break phones... no... evidence."

With those words let out, Teddy slumped to the ground, unconscious, but still alive.

One demon getting their powers for the first time was chaos, five or six getting their powers was another story. It was like some kind of horrific (let comedic?) scene out of a comic book. What those teens with the cellphones would have called superpowers. What could have been perceived as an awkward conversation between the six of them had turn into a full blown freak show.

Eloise was not prepared for this day. For this moment, or for her powers. She, like the others, was under the impression that the twins were long gone. That despite her enhanced skills, she would never acquire any demon powers like her friends or cousins. When she was younger Lolly hated the fact that she was different, and often endured her cousins taunts and teasing. However, as she grew older Lolly had a sense of freedom from not having a power. She wasn't marginalized, but instead was someone special.

Our brave red-headed girl could never have imagined how a simple bump could change her life forever. Eloise was frozen in time and space. It was as if her ears were following time but the rest of her brain was malfunctioning. She listened to the chaos of screams, other words formed around her, and lastly Jasper's defiance toward them. All the while her body was in a crouch position, unable to move, and her mind was flashing.

Every person, scene, scent, sound, and place was clicking through her head at hyper speeds. A strange woman with bright green eyes. A yellow freckled meadow. A humming bird with shiny green wings. A dark closet full of grey clothes. Two pairs of purple shoes. Her cousin Milly's upset face. Her parents smiling down at her in a crib. When her vision split, showing electric colorful ties to Teddy and Matt, Eloise's head began to ache. Then it went back to the pictures, two at a time now, being logged.

A wave of excruciating pain hit her by surprise. Lolly grabbed her forehead and leaned down on her knees, finally able to move. What the hell was happening? Usually she was able to decipher problems with little delay, but she couldn't think beyond the millions of images flashing through her head.

Overloaded with information, Eloise's dark brown eyes rolled to the back of her head. Lolly could feel her eyes retracting, but saw only what was playing in her mind. Irrationally, she thought she was going blind. "Oh my god..." she muttered. Lolly began to panic. She heard Teddy speak in scattered phrases, then a thud. "Teddy?" Desperate for a response, Lolly reached out her hands, hoping that he or Mel would be in front of her. "Teddy, answer me!" She called out. "Mel? Mel, what the fu-"

With a click it was over. Everything was a little more focused now. Tons of teenagers were laying on the ground, including Teddy. Eloise looked around for a moment, completely transfixed. She stood up with no struggle and walked around in awe, not realizing that she was embodying every person she looked at.

Matt stumbled into Eloise, about to apologize profusely when the screaming of human teenagers interrupted him. It was absolute chaos. Mel's eyes widened slightly, keeping a level head as she turned to Matt, who was sitting on a log, attempting to regain his composure. Bright blue electricity was dancing over his fingers, apparent fear written on his face as the teenagers around him started recording videos of what was happening. Mel seethed, whipping around to face the humans.

"He's going into shock, and you're recording him?!" Mel yelled at the party-goers. Most of them shifted a fraction of their attention over to her. "Well, delete that video, put away your phones, and show some damn respect!" Unfortunately, only a few teenagers even bothered to consider that idea. Mel scowled and rolled her eyes, definitely not pleased, but she could always erase the evidence later.

"Don’t follow us," Mel turned towards the sound of Jasper's voice. "The last thing we want is your help. We’ve been taking care of each other for years. Bye!" Mel's eyebrows shot up in displeasure.

Before Mel could hand the idiot his ass, Teddy yelled out, "You're gonna need us, asshole!" Mel decided that she didn't need to add anything. That statement was definitely true.

"I'm gonna get so many hits for this!" some smart-ass teenager cheered. "Hello celebrity status!" Mel grit her teeth, clearly pissed off. Humans had to ruin everything.

Surprisingly, the teenagers around the brunette started dropping like flies as soon as Mel thought that. She looked around rapidly, her eyes finally landing on Teddy, who was gripping his head and screaming like a banshee. Mel dropped to her knees, patting Teddy's back at an attempt to be soothing. "It's just your powers kicking in, it's going to be fine." Mel was damn lucky; she wasn't going through Teddy's pain.

After a couple moments of labored breathing, Teddy managed to get a few broken sentences out. "Go...spike the beer...make...look drugged...hallucinations...destroy sim cards...break phones...no...evidence." At that, Teddy slumped to the ground, falling unconscious. Mel carefully set him down, aiming for the teenagers' phones.

Luckily, Mel was efficient. Fingerprint passwords were a thing these days; she didn't even have to try to crack anybody's code, she would just grab their hand and press their finger to the home button. Mel managed to delete all the videos in a quick time, hoping that no one would have a feature that automatically saves everything they took on the camera app and sends it to iCloud or something like that.

It was a good thing that most of the phones were still recording, though, since the videos wouldn't get saved if Mel cut them off. She headed towards the drinks - damn, she didn't snag Jasper's weird whisky. Added to the drink, the concoction would taste absolutely horrendous, but technically, it counted as spiking the drink.

Abruptly, Mel felt something change. Of course, things were always changing, but there seemed to be an unsettling shift in the atmosphere. The brunette carefully approached the drink, taking a sip, as if to test it out. Her brows furrowed in confusion. "There was nothing strange in this before," Mel muttered to herself. "But now...it tastes like someone added psychotic hallucinogenic drugs in this..." Mel's eyes widened. "Shit, did I manage to actually spike the drink?" She shook her head. "Must be a weird power phenomenon..."

A shout knocked Mel out of her thoughts. "Mel? Mel, what the fu-"

Mel's head shot up. "Lolly?" she called out, turning around. "I really hope you aren't feeling faint right now..." Mel's jaw dropped for a second at the sight of her friend before she closed her mouth quickly. "Okay...?"

Someone, presumably Eloise, was walking around, clearly in awe. Mel was staring at her like she was an alien - she actually wasn't too far off. As Lolly stared at the people on the ground, her appearance shifted to match the appearance of whoever she was looking at. Mel masked a giggle with a cough as Lolly's appearance shifted into a 6'3" boy with at least 200 pounds of muscle of him. Illusions? she asked herself. It seemed so. At times, Eloise's appearance would flicker back to the 5'2" redhead Mel knew and loved.

Matt continued to press his hands into the dirt, the strands of blue electricity dancing across the ground before him. Oddly enough, Matt was more concerned in the fact that he couldn't get it to stop than the fact electricity was being produced from his fingertips. His panic attack was interrupted by the sound of someone running through the brush, leaves cracking under their feet. He whipped around to make eye contact with Alice, who had a mixture of terror and concern on her face. "Alice, please d-don't come near" He said breaking eye contact, he couldn't bear to look at her. He was more worried about him possibly hurting her more than anything else.

"Matt, look at me," Her voice came out quiet, and almost far away. His mind was going a thousand miles a minute. He was like an overcharged battery. "Stop focusing on what's happening and look at me". He strained his neck to try and look up at her, pain and shame written all over his face. "Alice I don't know if I can" his voice came out small and desperate, but he was being honest. He didn't know if he could stop. If the next step would just be human combustion. He could feel the electricity coursing through his body, setting off each nerve like an alarm. It was a strange feeling, and maybe if he wasn't so afraid he would embrace it. He felt energized, and new but Matt was rejecting it. He didn't want the future for whatever this meant. He just wanted to go home to his family and have his mom complain about submitting his application for college, spend the night with Jasper, and tease Alice at the lunch table. This thing could only mean bad things. I mean, he'd never heard of the human lightning rod, except in movies. This was all just too overwhelming for one mind to comprehend.

His head jerked up at the sound of another pair of footsteps, his eyes now landing on both of his best friends. Alice and Jasper. They had both come to his help. “Matt, it will all be okay. They’re just powers, I have them too. Let’s just go home and we can all talk about it. My parents are gone for the night…I have some things to tell you guys too…”. They're just powers, I have them too. That would explain the freak accident that had happened at school. Still, how could Jasper be so calm about something like this? What more did he have to say about their situation?

"Just powers? Jasper there's electricity. Electricity shooting from my finger tips. I- I could've killed someone, almost, killed someone back there. Now I can't seem to stop it. How can this somehow be okay?" He tone held nothing rude, more of a desperation and confusion. There was one thing that both Alice and Jasper said that he understood. He needed to calm down. His emotions were definitely making things worse.

He clenched his eyes shut, and took a deep breath, and again several times until his shaky breath turned more solid and steady. He found that the electricity needed guidance. This would be something he still could never wrap his head around. It was almost a living being inside him, bending to his will. He flexed his fingers in the dirt, slowly wiggling each finger until the electricity had completely disappeared. Or so it seemed. Matt could still feel it, almost like butterflies in his stomach, but it was much calm and dormant. After his little light show finally seemed to have been subdued he decided to face his friends who were still both entirely concerned.

"I think I'm fine, I feel like I got hit by a truck and thrown in a deep fryer, but ok" His voice still came out slightly hoarse, his hair was tousled, and he just looked tired. He slumped back on his heels, wiping the dirt on his jeans, something he'd normally never do. "We need to get out of here. Someone's already probably called the cops, because of you know. I don't want it to come back." His eyes seemed to darken and his gaze strayed to the ground. How would he even be able to go back to school? He'd be labeled as a freak. His status however was the least of his concerns, his newfound 'powers' as Jasper called them didn't seem to want to go away entirely.

God, Alice felt weird. Not necessarily a bad weird by any means, but not right. Not normal. Literally moments ago she felt as if she’d been punted right across the football field by her school’s star player (and that’s saying a lot, that guy had a lot of muscles in a lot of places), but now she felt like all that pain had melted away into bubbling energy she had no idea what do with. She needed to move, to run, to exert all this extra vitality bundled up inside of her.

The appearance of Jasper beside her didn’t surprise her, but Matt’s plea of "Alice I don't know if I can,” quickly made her attention turn back to him. “Bullshit,” Alice stated, stepping towards him a bit more, trying her damned best for him to make eye contact with her. “Matt, you’ve gotten through every little hurdle thrown your way. If you can deal with that, plus all of our crap, what’s a little electro-hands?” She wanted to make light of the situation, but not down play the seriousness of it all that it pissed him off. Because it was serious. None of this was normal, she could admit that. But what she saw unfolding in front of her was heartbreaking. Her best friend was crumpling in front of her, desperate for it to stop. She would do anything so he didn’t have that look on his face.

Turning to glance at Jasper, it sunk in that her suspicious were true. Clearly Matt had powers, but with all that unfolded back there… all of them probably had them. She didn’t want to focus on that right now. One problem at a time— wait, what does Jasper mean he has something to tell us?

Scrutinizing Jasper’s face, Alice tried her best to get a read on what he was feeling, because there was without a doubt some shred of understanding below his features as to what was going on. She wasn’t pleased he didn’t just blurt it out right then and there, not surprisingly as she was never known as the most patient one of their little group. She waned to know what the hell was going on right now. Why Matt suddenly turned into an x-men character, why Jasper already had powers way before the rest presumably had, and why in the hell she just noticed a soft glowing light surrounding both Matt and Jasper like some heat wave of northern lights.

Jasper’s color was composed largely of yellow and red, not mixing exactly to make orange. Yellow was in abundance, seeping into red as it almost flickered in and out. Now that she looked closer, she could see a little pink too. Matt on the other hand, was an odd mishmash. There was a flickering green (reminding her of the green beacon in The Great Gatsby), a red truer than the one the flared from Jasper. She was sure the most shocking thing would have been the fixed pure white that stemmed from the base of him, if it wasn’t for the muddied gray splotches that spurted throughout like fireworks. She didn’t have a good feeling about the gray. It very much felt like the panic she was sure he had felt.

Well, she wasn’t going to mention anything about it if they weren’t.

Looking away from Jasper, she listened to Matt’s complaints and waited until he calmed down enough. As soon as his powers faded and he relaxed the slightest bit, she noticed the gray splotches dim but still remain. She didn’t want to focus on that, however, and quickly launched herself at her best friend to wrap him in an awkward tangled hug. Releasing herself just as fast, she grabbed both sides of his face a little too hard and stared him down, peering at ever square inch of him she could see. “Are you hurt anywhere? Jasper, you have a first aid kit at your house, righ-“ Alice’s voice was cut off into a sharp intake of breath as she felt that weird channel thing inside of her again, except this time it wasn’t moving through her, but out of her. Quickly releasing his face, she stared wide eyed at him for for a moment before shooting up straight. Not weird, nope. Totally fine.

Feeling a little less gung-ho and energetic than before, really just feeling tired, Alice turned quickly on her heel and tossed her car keys at Jasper. “Pick him up and carry him to the car if you have too. I’m going to go have a little chat with our new friends and see if there’s any damage control to be done.” Coughing slightly into her sleeve, she trudged back to the party area.

Shuffling back out of the woods, she was debating the best way to play this all off, but quickly noticed the two girls were moving around presumably doing just that. Was that red headed girl… wait what was she doing? ‘Jesus Christ, I’m in a nightmare,’ she thought as she wildly looked around for James Franco to pop up. That son of a bitch was always in her nightmares. She half expected Lolly to become him instead of the party goers.

Alas, the too large smiing menace never appeared, and all she saw was reality and the boy Matt had been flirting with lying face down on the ground while his friends did whatever the hell they were doing. Groaning both internally and externally, she moved over to him and knelt beside him. “”Don’t be dead, don’t be dead, don’t be dead” she spoke hopefully, as she rolled him over so he was fully face up. There was a rise in fall in his chest. Good. Good sign.

He, like the others, also had a wide range of colours surrounding him but those freaking gray splotches were there too, except they seemed to be swallowing him whole. Okay. Not great. Not a good sign. She wasn’t sure how to fix it, but if any indication of what had just happened with Matt could tell her, maybe if she touched him…

Placing a hand gently on his wrist, she closed her eyes and immediately felt that same energy whooshing out of her at a greater speed than it had happened before. Shit, shit shit shit— trying to shut off whatever imaginary channel was working, she tapered it off a bit, but forced a break in contact before it could continue any longer. Slumping over slightly, she once again felt as if she had been hit by a vehicle. It wasn’t a semi-truck like last time, but one of those stupid smart cars. Not as bad, but not as great.

Fumbling with her hand to pick up a stick from the ground, she poked the boy’s side gently in an attempt to stir him awake, she watched the gray start to fade away bit by bit. Getting herself slowly to stand back up, she stumbled a bit feeling woozy, and cringed at the start of a killer migraine.

Taking in a deep breath of air, she looked over at the two girls and commented, “We’re leaving, might be a good idea to do the same,” as she started to shuffle away.

Dang, she needed a nap.

Jasper watched Matt carefully and just listened to him speak. He didn’t have much to say. His heart broke a little at the tone of Matt’s voice. Though, he was surprised when Jasper wiped dirt on his jeans. He knew Matt must have really been feeling out of it. Jasper tensed at the thought of cops. He did not have a good relationship with them. He only ever saw them when he was running away from them. He was mainly running from them as they caught him somewhere he shouldn’t be. Jasper was sure a few cops could easily recognize his face.

His eyes wandered over to Alice when her sentence was cut short with a gasp. He caught the keys and listened to her words. Jasper decided not to object. He decided he would just do what he wanted once she was out of sight. Once she was far enough into the woods, he quickly scooped Matt into his arms. He had one arm around his back and another under his knees. He knew Matt could likely walk, but he found this more fun. He slowly walked back to the party area. Jasper glanced at Matt.

We need to follow Alice. Let’s just say I do not trust our new friends. I don’t trust them as it mainly has to do with the thing I have to tell you guys. I should have told you when I found out, but it just sounded too cray to be true…I am not too sure now,” he said softly. Jasper didn’t walk too quickly as he didn’t want to make Matt uncomfortable in his arms. Finally, they reached their destination. Quickly he became distracted by Lolly who was shape-shifting and at Teddy was on the ground. He had no idea what was going on, but obviously Lolly had powers. He didn’t really care about the other party-goers on the ground.

He walked over to Teddy and finally put Matt down to let him stand. He smiled at Matt as he glanced between Teddy and him.
You may need to wake up sleeping beauty with a kiss,” he joked with a wink before looking around. He saw Mel, but just took note of her location. “Keep an eye on Teddy,” he told Matt before walking over to Lolly. He knew she or Matt had to be Alice’s twin. Things had gone to hell when Matt bumped into Lolly. Since Lolly could be a twin, she would need to come with them. He wondered how she knew Mel and Teddy, but that wasn’t too important. What was important was keeping his friends and Alice’s potential twin safe. If Matt was the twin, it’d make things simple. It could mean they could just leave Lolly somewhere and she could get back to her life.

Hey Lolly, I need you to come to my house with Alice and Matt. We all have something we need to talk about,” he said. He ignored the feeling he got near Lolly. Now he knew the feeling was because she was a demon. His parents had mentioned it when they were telling him everything.

Eloise Huxley
Hex: #7c8db2

Eloise was in a haze. Unaware of her shifting form, she continued to take on the physical appearance of the teenagers heaped on the forest floor. Despite looking like someone with a kinesthetic power, this was not to be confused with an actual shapeshifter. Rather, it was her own thoughts perpetuating; everything she saw and thought about were rippling and imprinting on those who were still conscious.

However, her mind began to compensate quickly.

It felt as if she had two tracks for her brain now, instead of just one. It was easy to say that Eloise had a sharp mind, after all she was undoubtably witty. But the way that her mind worked now was no longer linear. There was no train of thought to follow. It was like there were two orbs of thought jumping from one sensation to the next without hardship. Lolly seemed to be hyper of aware of this, letting the experience tumble around in her brain while she wondered around like a lost duck. Eventually, a figure began to illuminate in another orb of thought. This figure was her, unmoved and stable in her own third orb. This helped her mind focus. Like a laser, there was a part of her mind that stayed constant on the third orb.

Eloise's little mind show was interrupted. Losing her concentration, her form shifted into Jasper for a moment before regaining the balance. "Wha-" was all that Eloise could mutter before muling the words over again in her head. Back to her own form, Eloise looked around with amusement at the scene. She looked to Mel briefly, out of confusion over Jasper's words more than anything. Why had Jasper requested just her? Sure, Teddy was having a little trouble with consciousness right now, but that didn't mean they couldn't tote him along. "I- Just me?" She asked.

The confusion washed suddenly away, and the typical Lolly confidence reigned once again. It was clear to her now. One of them seemed manageable to Jasper, instead of three. The boy would learn eventually. "Mel," she said, turning to face her. "Get Teddy in shape, I'll catch up with you soon." Lolly turned back to Jasper, and nodded at him in a curt, professional manner.

"Let's go then," Lolly said, ready to leave. Even though these kids were also demons, they had no training. While that meant their powers were out of control (just like hers), that also meant that they were untrained in their heightened abilities. Eloise was confident that she'd be able to deal with any shit if this Jasper kid wanted to start something.
