Premise
The spaceship, Starship Avalon, is on a 120-year voyage to a distant colony planet known as "Homestead II", transporting 5,259 people. It has a malfunction in one of its cryostasis chambers resulting in one passenger, Jim Preston, waking up too early, still 60 years away from his destination.

Fortunately Starship Avalon was not only meant as a means of transportation to Homestead II, but also as an initial living quarters for the crew to use after arrival, until they could build a proper city with natural resources. Jim found that the ship was equipped with everything he needed to live: rations, sleeping quarters, entertainment, recreation, climate control. He had everything he needed... except company.

Being alone in an empty ship was enough to drive someone mad. Mad enough even to wake up another, just to have someone to share the curse.
