As on many other occasions he was being attacked outside of Toy'va'ganza, the toy store was the main target of the children of other gangs and since they were unsupervised children who could blame them for seeking free toys, at least Derrick had no intend to do so, in fact he covered his eyes with his hands to let them know he was going to pretend that he hadn't seen them unfortunately they didn't take it very well and began to attack, a childish pride rather useless in this whole situation.

Derrick wasn't very fond of toys so in general he would have no reason to go there, but the truth was that he had a pretty simple reason: a Toy Store was the best place to hide his secret stash of alcohol, he was leaving the store after hiding a new acquisition when the attack began leading us to the current situation.

His skill was called Infinite Tolerance for a reason, Derrick was sitting at the main entrance as a bubble-type barrier protected him from the multiple types of attack, a girl threw stones the size of a TV while another attacked with a liquid that evaporated on the outer walls of his shell and the third used something like magma, all that rendered completely useless by his power, he was proud of the fact he hasn't killed anyone nor began an attack.

Even in his own gang some people hated him for his power, the reason: Every time they saw it they remebered the damn shield that distorted their lives and killed their friends, the truth was that even if they shared some similarities the shield was in a completely different category, while Derrick had limits the shield seemed to be completely unmovable, the kids who attacked him had no more than twelve years which showed the ridiculousness of the situation, children killing children, Derrick had heard that somewhere in the neutral territory of the north side there was a daycare but he had never gone over there, maybe they would like to have some toys.

While he thought about these things one of his attackers fell victim to fatigue and the other two were about to fall too, in the end everyone get tired or bored, everyone but Derrick.

Hence Infinite Tolerance.

There he was sitting dirtying his black coat while the attacks delayed more and more a sign that the childrens would surrender soon and return to their respective gangs unscathed, just a little tired but completely healthy like every person that has faced Derrick before, the boy wondered momentarily what gang belonged the small aggressors but he got rid of his questions quickly, it really didn't matter as long as they are in a rival gang.

Derrick was pretty comfortable in the Grave gang despite little discrimination he faced by his ability, at least the leader wasn't a fan of meaningless demonstrations of power and he practically accepted anyone who asked, maybe that's why they had the largest number of members of all the other gangs but that way was harder control its members so everyone did what they wanted until they received a direct order from Nikolas, Leader of the Graves, Derrick himself was ordered to protect the toy store as most of those who came were children and apparently the leader had a soft spot for them, more than that in reality he hasn't interacted with him.

The attack stopped.

Derrick also stop using his power and watched them without getting up, the girl carried the first to fall rendered with impressive ease while the other kid was complaining about something, Derrick stood hoping to have misheard and advanced briskly towards the kids, the girl quickly fled but the boy who use something similar to magma wasn't as fast, Derrick waved his hand and the little boy was trapped in a bubble similar to which prevented their attacks from damaging the young man.

"What did you say about the food?"

The child began screaming curses and insults directed at Derrick who hear quiet until he get tired.

"What did you say about the food?" he asked again and the process repeated a few times until the child finally spoke, "The food is gone!, There is nothing in Wally World, now release me before-" the child didn't ended his threat since Derrick freed him, the kind blinked a few times and then ran away.

The gloved hand scratched his blue hair, if the kid was telling the truth then those were some serious problems, Derrick made a mental estimate of those who survived their own powers and he guessed that in a couple of weeks everyone would have to resort to cannibalism, though the first to fall will be dogs and cats, he shaked his head, the idea of โ€‹โ€‹eating another person didn't appealling him much and he didn't want to have to resort to that if he could avoid it.
Rationing was the best he idea so far, in his secret stash of Alcohol he have some snacks to eat while drinking and at home (A previously abandoned department that he decided to use) have food for a couple of days so at least for now he doesn't have to worry.

The food don't dissapear in the air and if it does will have to do with the power of a person or perhaps several of them, that idea didn't sound so crazy, at least not in the world inside the dome, regardless the case Derrick would accept it as his reality, as he has always done.

Freya White

Freya was sprawled out on the roof of Toy'Va'Ganza watching the non-existent clouds. She never really liked the sun, but now she found herself wishing it would just appear. Things always felt more peaceful and like everything would be okay, in the sun. Stealing the sun was like stealing the hope from this world. Though if she was being honest Freya missed the sun because she was starting to look like a ghost. Some people were lucky and had natural tans but not her. Without the sun her skin had no color, the natural glow she liked to think she possessed before was all but faded.

She was awoken from her daydream by commotion from below the roof. Choosing not to stand out of laziness Freya crawled to the edge of the roof and peeked over the edge to see what was going on. Kids. Great. They were the one down side about her little spot of paradise; no one could reach the roof except for her but occasionally kids showed up and ruined the peace. She watched them assault Derrick's bubble like idiots. Seriously did they not understand that their attacks wouldn't work. Ever. It annoyed Freya that Derrick never instigated any fights, though he had his bubble and could handle himself just fine, so all in all he was in her good books. After watching a few more attacks she had already decided the outcome of the fight and she rolled back away from the edge. The kids would get tired and leave, people always did when faced against Derrick. Then again she wasn't likely to get involved if he couldn't handle himself. She didn't get involved in people's problems everyone solved their own. Even if he was a Grave; she didn't exactly feel liability for people just cause they were in the same gang. She only joined a gang cause it was less people hassling her.

Lying back on the ground for a few more moments she was drawn to the commotion below when she heard unexpected noises. There was some screaming and cursing and other noises she couldn't quite understand. Moving back to the edge of the roof she looked down. The kid said something to Derrick that she couldn't understand before he was released and ran off. It seemed like it was something important from everyone's reactions. She decided, that no matter how much she wanted to go back to laying on the roof she should probably find out what was going on. She didn't exactly talk to a lot of people nowadays and so this was probably going to be her only chance to find out about the news. Sighing Freya jumped off the edge of the roof, manipulating gravity directly around her so she fell at a decelerated speed and essentially floated down next to Derrick.

"Hey, what was that about?" She asked bluntly, she wasn't sure if he had noticed her sudden appearance but he was sure to now. Freya didn't consider herself and Derrick as friends exactly (not that she considers herself friends with anyone) but they talked pretty often. He just happened to be one of the only Graves she talked to and could stand. That and he hanged out around Toy'va'gaza quite a bit and so did she. She didn't really care about what was going on; it most likely wouldn't effect her, but she best be safe than sorry.

Derrick Darko

Derrick was lost in his dark predictions about the future of the world inside dome now that there was a shortage of food it wouldn't be long before the childrens will start to hunt childrens to eat them and in the end will be only one person, all alone in a world without day or night, without sun or stars only to die a few days after in a rather cruel way.

He shrugged, there was no point thinking about those things.

He was surprised and prepared to protect himself when out of nowhere appeared a person but relaxed when he noticed that it was only Freya, the girl who could play with gravity which explained why she gently fell right next to Derrick, both were on good terms and the girl was a constant reminder that others could appear from virtually anywhere so he always had to be on guard, that if he wanted to stay alive.

Truth be told the boy had no idea what businesses could have Freya in a toy store as big as Toy'va'ganza but the reality was that Derrick saw her quite often there but she didn't seem like the type who like toys and as far as he knew she didn't have a secret stash of liquor like him and considering the way she speak of the gang didn't seem to come here following orders from the boss, well, it didn't matter anyway.

Her question brought him back from the world of speculation and answered "The food disappeared from Wally World, all of it," Derrick paused, What about the storages of the bakeries and other local shops?, Was worth check it, though the things that were on those places could hardly be called food since only were ingredients and other materials previously used for preparing cakes and other products, well it was better than nothing at least would increase in a few days his personal rations.

He started walking in the direction of a nearby bakery but stopped and turned back "I will check the locals places, Want to come with me?" It was better to search together instead of began to fight for some scraps of food, he walked again without waiting for an answer.

No food. That one though rung clear in Freya's head for a few moments as she though about how to process this new information. It didn't matter all that much to her, she needed food of course, but it wasn't like she had a large amount of mouths to feed. Besides, it was only Wally World that was empty, there was always the bakeries and whatnot. Likewise she could keep her food supplies somewhere no one could ever reach, so no one would be stealing food from her. As a last resort there was always Taggy's too, though she'd have to be sneaky about going there. That or a bunch of Graves could head over there and clear it out. That was the only thing Graves were good for, numbers, oh, and she supposed a pretty alright leader. She kept making excuses about why this piece of news wasn't a big deal and she had herself honestly believing it too. Truth is though she wasn't not going to let herself get rattled by news like this.

"I will check the locals places, Want to come with me?" Looks like Derrick had the same idea as her. She didn't particularly feel like going on a field trip, but well, she'd have to go soon because everyone else would eventually think of it, no matter how dumb they were. Everyone would also be stockpiling their resources too, massive panic did that to people; made them paranoid. She didn't say anything, but shrugged and followed behind him, one step behind. "What ever we find, we split 50/50 yeah?" Freya asked after a little bit, though it was more like a rhetorical question, she didn't care about his answer. She was more just letting him know that, that was what she would be doing. She always did what was best for her and this was no different.

"If worst comes to worst, we can always bake cakes." Freya said jokingly, not that her tone screamed joking, you'd have had to have known her to understand that she was joking. It wasn't often you caught her talking out of her simple and blunt monotonous voice. Needless to say she wouldn't be the first person you'd come to, to read you a bedtime story and soothe you to sleep. She could, if she tried, she used to soothe her younger sister to sleep all the time, but she doesn't try, she sees sounding like that as just another sign of how weak she really was back then.

Considering that Freya followed him silently Derrick assumed she had accepted his proposal which served to avoid a fight between them in the future because of the food besides in the world inside the dome the numbers gave a sense of security that's why gangs were born, Derrick recognized that was the most practical way to survive otherwise he never would have chosen to be part of one, there wasn't much to be said so the boy moved silently until Freya said.

"What ever we find, we split 50/50 yeah?"
Actually that was the most fair, it wasn't as if they would find plenty of edible things apart from ingredients and stuff so Derrick didn't care as long as the girl carry her part of the loot though considering her ability that might be quite easy, he didn't know the limits of her power and that was the norm in the gangs, don't reveal all about your ability.

"If worst comes to worst, we can always bake cakes."
That was something that had happened barely a two or three times since he knew her: Freya told a joke, or so it seemed one could never be sure, unfortunately considering Derrick's personality was a waste of inventiveness unless she said it for self-satisfaction, the boy just said "I don't know how to bake," Derrick could barely cook bad food so baking was out question they reached the bakery Sugar, one of the largest in the area.

Such stores were the first to fall victim of looting and in the whole place could clearly be seen the damage, the most representative were the fragments of glass on the floor, Derrick looked around and spotted a broken door that leaded to the rear of the store where often were the storages, He made โ€‹โ€‹his way through the broken furniture and finished breaking the already broken door, "Let's see if there is something we can eat", said and entered without high expectations.

"I don't know how to bake." Freya looked over at Derrick quizzically for a moment. If she didn't know him better she would have assumed he was jumping on board with her joke. That had happened a few times though, she would make joke, with admittedly a bad delivery, and he would say something back except he was deadly serious. She shrugged it off though, she was never in any rush to clear up misunderstandings, in fact she quite liked them. She thrived on misunderstandings, she liked it when someone didn't understand her, her even better, couldn't understand her. She liked people to know she was different and incomprehensible.

Freya saw out of the corner of her eye Derrick wandering to the side of the road and she instinctively following. Her brain not quite processing what she was doing. She was brought back to reality though when her boot left the soft 'thud' of the asphalt and landed on the uneven, and crunchy flooring of the bakery. Looking up she saw the sign saying 'B-ker- Su--r,' yeah, some of the letters had gone missing long ago, like most of the shops and stores. Looking down at the ground she discovered the floor was not actually uneven and crunchy. Rather, the bits of glass, wood and metal layered on top of the floor made a crunchy and uneven surface. As she nudged a rather large piece of glass with her right foot, she saw, out of the corner of her eye, Derrick move further into the store. Sighing she moved further into the store behind him. She didn't step on the floor though as the noise of her boots crunching down on the ground felt like nails on a chalkboard. Instead she manipulated the gravity around her and with one small kick on the ground she drifted through the store over to Derrick's side.

"Let's see if there is something we can eat" Derrick said and as they both entered the back room. "Yeah, that would probably be best," Freya replied sarcastically as she started looking around on one side of the store room. She spotted a few bags that had been ripped open already and the majority of their contents spewed out across the floor. Before she could explore further though she was caught off guard by a voice behind her. โ€œMind if I take some of this?โ€ Freya spun around and was immediately on guard to defend herself, what the stranger had said or the fact that she was ing Graves' territory not even crossing her mind. She relaxed again the moment she saw it was only Shio though. He was probably the only other Grave, other and Derrick and their leader, she cared much to hold conversation with. Not that she outwardly showed that she was glad to see him. She just nodded subduedly towards him, before kicking off the ground and gliding gently towards him. "How long have you been here?" She asked bluntly as she landed on the ground in front of him gently, inspecting the bag of suger he had found.

โ€œMind if I take some of this?โ€

His shield protected him when he heard the male voice asking that question, although no one would ask such a question before attacking Derrick actived his power anyway, better safe than sorry especially when it comes to skills since always there was a possibility that the question was some sort of condition to use the power, a quick glance was enough to call off his shield, was only Shio holding a bag of sugar, another member of the gang with whom Derrick had little interaction, not much more than an exchange of greetings.

Freya approached to examine what the black haired boy was holding, "I don't mind" considering that Shio found the bag by himself and it was just sugar, not really worth of a fight with a fellow gang member though if Freya wanted to take it she could do Derrick wouldn't stop her, the boy kept searching for things to eat in the storage unfortunatly the mainly were flour and yeast, at least on the surface so probably they would really going to have to bake something, he locked the elements he just found in his barrier and threw out of the room where the others were, his idea was to gather all foodstuff before sharing it with Freya, Derrick had no intention of sharing with Shio, it wasn't part of the deal and between 50 and 33 there was a big difference.

Derrick thought a moment before looking further, taking into account the status of this bakery it would be best to check one or two more stores before the other gang members do the same thing, it was bad thing of being part of a large gang.
