Introduction
But all of that can be done in time. Many trainers spend their whole lives finding and training all kinds of Pokemon, making lifelong friends and growing in knowledge and wisdom. Every trainer carries a Pokedex to give them the latest updates on any Pokemon they might encounter. But, I'm sure by now you're just bursting to start your adventure. So, head on down to Professor Oak's lab, choose your first Pokemon, and begin your journey to catch 'em all!
Here's a character sheet to help you in submitting a character:
Name:
Height:
Weight:
Age: (I'd prefer this to be between 13-18)
Hair Color:
Eye Color:
Personality:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Beginning Pokemon:
Pokemon Team: (You won't start out with any of them, but these will be your main six that you will train and fight with. It's not making them off-limits to other trainers, but it is showing specialization)
Goal: (What does your character want the most?)

"Well, I can tell you right now that I'm not going to be challenging any trainers for a while. I need to put together my team of Pokemon and make sure that they are strong before challenging any trainers, let alone the gym trainers. We are not at the same level, so as much as it probably cramps your style, I hope you'll slow down a bit for me."
Seth entered his home and showed Sonny her bedroom for the night.
"My mom should be making dinner in about an hour."

"Wow, you have five Pokemon all ready. I'm glad to see that they look happy."
After an hour, the three ate and then it was time for bed. The next morning, Seth awoke and ate his breakfast. He met up with Sonny outside his house.
"Okay, here's the plan. We'll take the main road and head into Veridian City. I'm not sure what we'll find there, but it may give us a lead on finding good Pokemon. Veridian Forest north of the city is said to be home to some strong wilderness Pokemon. I could use one of those. Let me know when you're ready."

"Yeah, I think so. Let's get going."
He said goodbye to his mother and began walking with Sonny through the forest outside of Pallet Town.
"I need to do a little training with Scyther."
It took about an hour, but Scyther was soon up to level five after battling a LOT of other Pokemon.
"So, Sonny...I've been meaning to ask you."
He returned Scyther to his Pokeball.
"If you're the Cerulean City Gym Leader, why are you all the way out here in Pallet Town? Shouldn't you be at the gym? I mean, what happens if a trainer comes by and you're not there to battle?"
He began walking toward the exit of the forest leading to the main road.

"Yeah, I know how you feel. Being cooped up in one place, not being able to battle or see new Pokemon unless someone brings it to your doorstep...I don't blame you for wanting to get out of there."
Seth reached the main road and took a deep breath.
"I mean, who could resist the call of adventure? There's a big world out there, and I wanna see it all."
They were walking side-by-side on the road.
"So, if you never left Cerulean City before now, where did you get those Pokemon you carry?"
About halfway along the road, some guy in a blue bandana popped out of nowhere.
"Aha, I knew if I waited long enough some trainers would pass by."
He took out a Pokeball and pointed at Seth.
"I challenge you to battle!"

"I wasn't really feeling in the mood for a battle, but okay."
The kid threw out a Rattata.
"Scorch that Rattata with Flamethrower Charmander!"
The little lizard let loose a fireball that struck Rattata pretty hard. Charmander withstood the Tackle, then finished the fight with a Scratch.
As the kid returned the rat to his ball, Seth called Charmander back and tossed out Scyther. It was good thing, too, since the kid tossed out a Squirtle.
"Scyther, open up with a Quick Attack."
The attack hit so hard that the poor Squirtle bounced.
"Use Water Gun."
Scyther got sprayed, but the effect was not very effective.
One more Quick Attack and Squirtle was done.
"I was saving my best for last. Go, Tauros!"
When the bull appeared, Seth knew that he would have to kick it up a notch to best this strong Pokemon.
"Scyther, use Swords Dance!"
Scyther thought about it for a minute, then launched into a furious combo that did a number on Tauros.
"Stop that Scyther cold with a Take Down!"
In an unexpected move, Scyther actually dodged it, then countered with a Quick Attack that brought an end to the battle. The kid congratulated Seth on his victory, then left to go find some more Pokemon. He returned Scyther to his Pokeball, then turned to Sonny.
"I think I'm starting to get the hang of this."
He continued to walk along the path.

"Thanks. It was really a great boon finding that Scyther. I could not have beaten that kid without him."
Charmander bristled a little, and Seth noticed.
"Oh, that's not what I meant, buddy. Even you know that you could not have taken down all three Pokemon, especially with one being a water type."
Charmander nodded and smiled again.
As they followed the road, Seth saw a city approaching.
"That must be Viridian City. I've heard of this place but never seen it."
He walked in and saw a Pokemon Center.
"We should go there. I've heard they had a nurse that can heal Pokemon, which we should do to make sure that they are in tip-top shape."

Re: Pokemon A New Beginning
1. The sheet is not entirely filled out. Everything above personality is blank, so I need you to fill that out, even the name part.
2. I'm going to need to lower the level of your Pokemon to level 10, since Charmander evolves at level 16 and Magikarp evolves at 20. You're not supposed to have evolved Pokemon at the start, even if you are a gym trainer.
3. The only Pokemon I am allowing for use at this point are the original 151, minus Mew and Mewtwo, so 149. Dragonair, Bagon, Swablu, and Axew are all not from the original series and have to go. Replace them with Pokemon from this series and we'll be good to go on that.
4. I wanted the four beginning characters to have different starting Pokemon. My character, Seth, all ready has a Charmander, so I really don't want Sonny to have one, too. My rival will have a Squirtle, so that leaves you with a choice of Pikachu or Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur does not evolve until level 16 and Pikachu can't evolve without the Thunder Stone, so we won't have any level issues there.
