::About::

Mutations|Abilities:
"Its because of what I am that caused them to use
me against my family"

Amelia is a flock, her bird type is a raven. She has four different
abilities that the scientists have taken a real liking too.
1.Tracking-She has the ability to track most anything, if she
touches something she knows where to find it. To her its like
there is a string and its pulling her to the who or what.
2. Blend in and manipulate shadows-Its pretty self
explanatory. She is able to hide herself into a shadow
if there is one around, she can also use the shadow to
her advantage.
3.Invisibility-She is able to become invisible at will,
but the scientist came up with a chain locked collar
that prevents her from doing so.
4.Necromancy- She is able to communicate and
control ghosts/spirits but she has to be able to
see them to communicate with them. That is why
they have a special blindfold on her that she is
unable to take off.

Weaknesses:
"I have got plenty of these, and the scientists seem
to know most all of them"

◇The collar-The scientists put a collar on her that doesnt
let her become invisible but also has a tracking device in
it so they can always find her.
◇Being blindfolded-They keep her blindfolded when they
dont need to use her so she cant use her abilities.
◇Her tracking ability-The hunters use her to find other
mutants. They threaten her familiar if she doesnt
cooperate.
◇Sage- Her familiar is the only one she has left
and the scientists know this and use her against
Amelia if she doesnt cooperate.
◇Jay-He is the only one that seems to care for her
now and she would do anything for him.

"Beauty doesn't get you far"
Height: 5'11"|Weight: 108Lbs|Eye color:Dark grey

Amelia is a tall girl which is not normal for a flock but she is tiny when it comes to weight, she has these dark grey eyes that hold mystery and depth that others can't help but stare into them. She is very thin because of how long she has been in the lab. Her rib bones stick out and the scientists always have her wearing a long grey shirt that is way to big and a pair of grey pants that can hardly stay up. Her hair is as black as the night sky but it has been shaved off on one side because of one of the experiments the scientist done. As for scars she has way too many that decorate her skin, some old some fresh. She has the tattoo that every Flock has, its on her right hip. As for piercings she got one of the hunters to pierce her ears and she kept gaging them with different things she could find.

Her second form is her favorite because she has her wings. They are sixteen feet across and are as black as Sage with some light coloring on the inside. They are so long because of her height. They are strong and able to keep her flying for hours, if only she was able to fly. Whenever she goes into her second form the scientists bind her wings up so she isnt able to use them, so even though this is her favorite form she hardly shifts into it.

::Personality & History::

Image
Image

Personality:
"I dont even know who I am anymore, I dont even feel like I am alive anymore"
Amelia has lost hope in everything, being caged and used like she is nothing has
taken a big toll on her mentally and physically. She is scared almost all the time
crouched in the corner of her cage blindfolded almost all day unless she is being
used for her tracking ability or being experimented on. She mentally has given up
and is not the girl she used to be thirteen years ago. She feels helpless and guilty,
she never has forgiven herself for tracking her family when she was eight years
old. She saw them kill her mother and it broke something inside her. For awhile
she had hope that Aindreas and Adalind would come for her but as the years
went by all hope was lost for her. She is very selfless, she would give herself up
to be experimented on before she would let one of the younger mutants get used.
She feels protective over the others and wishes she could do something to calm
their fear but she cant even calm herself. She has been having major anxiety
attacks lately and the scientists arent sure how much longer they plan on
keeping her alive.

History:
"Its not a happy story"
Amelia was born the second child to two mutant parents. She was born a Raven Flock, she was a free spirited child. Her parents had a hard time keeping her on the ground especially when Sage would get her going. She was very close to her siblings, Aindreas and Adalind. They were inseperable.

Everything went downhill after she turned five. She wanted to go out to the meadow to fly around, her mother agreed and took Sage and her to the nearest meadow. It was a beautiful day out, clear skys, she could hear the birds singing. She was in her second form, her wings opened fully on her back and she took for the sky. Next thing she remembered she heard her mmother scream for her to come down but she wasnt fast enough. A helicopter came and captured her and Sage in a net. She remembers crying and watching her mother run for the forest.

Amelia was taken to the nearest lab and was tested on. The figured out her abilities and made things so when she was alone she wouldnt be able to use them. Her necromancy ability still hadn't come around so they didn't know about that one yet. They worked and trained her hard, physically and mentally. They mostly wanted to use her because of her tracking ability and they were going to make her do it whether she liked it or not. If she didn't cooperate they would threaten her by torturing Sage. Thats what they used to gwt her to track her own family down.

She was eight years old, almost nine. They believed she was ready and made her track down her family. She refused at forst but when they threatened Sage she caved in. So she tracked them down, she watched as the hunters went into the house. She was kept in chains so she wouldnt be able to run. She watched one hunter shoot down her mother and take her baby sister. Shr was taken into a different truck and was sent to a different lab because they didnt want the siblings together. She was glad that her brother escaped, it gave her hope that he will come and free them.

Seven years later she heard the talk going about in the lab, in a different lab in another state there was a breakout. She heard that the one that freed the group of mutants was a pride mutant. She had a feeling it was Aindreas and she really hoped that he saved Ada. Around that time she learned she had the ability to communicate and control ghosts/spirits. She came up with an idea and was going to send a ghost to find her brother and sister but one of the scientists saw what she was doing and they made a blindfold that she could not take off.

One boy was the only one she would really talk to, he called himself Jay and had a wolf Familiar named Argon. She soon became close to him and he tried to help her in many different ways even when she knew he was hurting from taking away her pain. She told him to stop but to this day he has stuck by her side and she isn't sure what would have happened if Jay wasn't around.

Now she was eighteen and she was mentally and physically not right. She mostly stayed curled up in the corner of her cage shaking, the torture and experiments have made her pretty useless. The scientists have decided they are going to use her once more for tracking down the Revolutionary group then they planned on ending her.

ImageFamiliars Name:
"Sage is my best friend and has been by my side since the day I was born"
Sage

Familiars Gender:
Female

Familiars Personality:
Sage is very much a trickster, she likes to try to keep Amelias spirits up and try to have the girl keep at least a bit more hope. When she is able to she tries to play pranks on the scientists. She tries to get Amelias anxiety down and is very protective of the girl. Sage tries to keep an optimistic view on things and really believes Amelias siblings will come and free her.

Caged Bird|Alicia Keys
Mmm, mmm
Right now I feel like a bird
Caged without a key
Everyone comes to stare at me
With so much joy and revelry
They don't know how I feel inside
Through my smile I cry
They don't know what they're doin' to me
Keepin' me from flyin'

That's why I say that I know
Why the caged bird sings
Only joy comes from song
She's so rare and beautiful to others
Why not just set her free?
So she can fly, fly, fly
Spreadin' her wings and her song
Let her fly, fly, fly
For the whole world to see

Mmm, mmm
Hey, hey
Mmm, mmm
She's like a caged bird
Fly, fly
Ooh, just let her fly
Just let her fly, just let her fly
Spread wings, spread beauty
Hmm

Boo fell asleep unwillingly that night, as always she had refused to fall asleep because of the nightmares that plagued her when her eyes closed but Vera and Alex demanded that she actually got a couple hours of sleep at least. So she found a corner away from everyone besides Alex and Vera, Sombra laid beside her to keep her warm and because she hadnt slept at all the last couple nights she fell asleep quickly but her dreams were not pleasant.

Boo was in a cage, the room was dark, she felt alone. Then there was screaming, she put her hands to her ears as she tried to block out the sounds. The lights went on and in front of the cage there was Vera and Alex, but they werent moving and there was blood, alot of blood. A ear piercing scream escaped her throat and then hunters grabbed her from the cage "Now you know what happens when you escapenfrom us". Her dreamed then changed to a pile of dead mutants, some she new some she didnt. She was then placed on a table and a man with a knife hovered over her "we are here to help you".

She woke up with a scream, her skin was drenched with sweat "Vera! Alex!" she whimpered, Sombra growled and nudged her a bit. She stood up shaking as she looked to see Alex's sleeping form but didnt see Vera which made her worry. "Vera" she whimpered as she looked around the camp, she finally found the older girl. Sombra followed Boo as she made her way over to Vera and sat down, she knew Vera peobably heard her scream, "I don't understand why Alex and you make me sleep ir does no use" she said in a very quiet tone, she was always a soft speaker when/if she talked. Sombra laid down near her and pushed at her hand a bit with her nose then sprawled out a bit. "Did you have a dream too?"

That night Andy didn't lay down till all the mutants were sleeping or at least resting, he was still kinda weary of the escapee mutants that found them. The only reason he agreed to let them stay was because it will help them with the raid and maybe he could finally find Amelia. If only it was that easy, his mind wandered to his sisters before he fell asleep laying on his back. He wasnt wearing a shirt and was only wearing a pair of khaki shorts, his arms rested under his head.

A scream awoke him from his sleep and he sat up and quickly looked around, he then saw Ada laying beside him looking up to the sky. He opened up his senses to try to sense if their was any danger around bur he felt nothing. "Someone must of had a nightmare" he quietly said to Ada but decided to take a look around just in case "Ill be right back."

Andy stood up and walked around the camp, he saw that most of the mutants were either resting or sleeping. He did notice Vera and the girl that Vera called Boo but others called Raven. He wasnt sure what to make of the young stripe, she seemed very...he wasnt sure what to think of the girl but he could tell that Vera and the girls brother Alex was protective of the girl. He gave them a nod then continued walking throught camp until he got back to his original place beside Ada.

He sat down and had what mpst called his thinking face on, he sat there in silence for a few until he looked down at Ada "Do you think we can trust them? The hunters are probably on their trail which will lead them right to us. I have a bad feeling about this and I really dont like that. Is it wrong of me for not wanting to truly help them?" He laid down on his back with his arms under his head as he contemplated his thoughts. "Will they actually be helpful in the raid or are they just going to make it worse for us".

Damien Lunes knelt before the girl, one hand on either side of her head. They were in the forest, in a small clearing, and Damien had a young mutant girl tied tightly to a large boulder. She couldn't have been more than fourteen years old, and her Familiar, a small black cat lay at her side, paws bound together tightly, whimpering. Behind him, through a small gathering of trees and in another clearing, Damien could hear, with his heightened senses, his team. Most of them were sleeping, as it was the middle of the night, but one or two were keeping watch. And his second-hand was here too, standing just beside him, watching. Damien smiled softly at the poor girl. He'd been sleeping, but heard her moving in the trees in the middle of the night, so he'd grabbed her. She may just be an outcast from the city, trying to keep hidden from the humans, but maybe she knew something about the Runaways or the Revolution. Maybe she was headed there now, or maybe she was on a mission for them. Or maybe, the runaways had been careless and left her a little ways behind, and she was catching up.

At the sight of his kind smile, the girl closed her eyes and whimpered. "We don't have to do this." He said, leaning back a little, giving her some space, as if he cared. "Just tell me where they are." His blue eyes flashed gold, indicating his use of his truth-telling power. The girl now had to speak the truth.

"I don't know." She shuddered, as if it had taken effort to talk. It seemed pretty final, if she couldn't lie, but Damien knew better. There were ways around telling the truth. Maybe he hadn't been specific enough. Afterall, "they" could be taken as just about anyone. Or maybe she didn't know their direct location, but she did know a direction. He sighed. Sometimes his truth-telling power was extremely helpful. Others, if the mutant was clever and knew what he could do, it was almost useless.

"Where are the Runaways? Or the Revolution? Tell me anything you know. A direction, general location, specific place, landmarks, ect." Damien watched her, knowing he'd been specific enough. Tears started to run down her cheeks, and she choked out her words.

"I promise you! I don't know anything! Please, let me go!" She sobbed, and Damien growled in frustration. He was getting no where with her, but it was too late in the night to go with torture. If she started screaming, she'd wake the whole damn world. However, if she did know the Revolution, or the Runaways, he couldn't keep her alive. She'd just run off to tell them that she'd seen Damien and his team, they'd move again, and the whole tedious tracking cycle would start over.

He sighed, pulling a silenced gun from his boot. He rarely used it, but he wanted this one to end quickly. At the sight of it, the girl went into hysterics, and started to shriek as she sobbed, but Damien slapped a hand tightly over her mouth, cutting the sound off as he pressed the cold metal to her temple and pulled the trigger. With nothing more than a soft pft noise, the girl was dead.

Damien stood, wiping his hands on his jeans and tossing the gun back into his boot. He turned to Seph, his second-hand. He'd been extremely irritated when he'd learned that his second-hand was to be a woman, but there was nothing he could do about it. "Clean this up." He gestured, before heading back through the trees to the camp, where the rest of his team was. He crossed to the tree where their captive, Shade was tied up and sleeping. Her guard had fallen asleep, and Damien delivered a swift kick to the ribs, waking him up, before walking over to Shade herself and pulling her up by her hair. He loved taunting her. Especially after the botched interrogation, it was bound to lift his spirits a bit.

"As soon as the sun is in the sky." He hissed. "Get ready to track. We're close now. I can feel it." He pushed her back down and moved towards the edge of camp to sit and watch the sky, waiting until the sun rose and they could keep moving.

It was dark, very dark but it was always dark for Amelia. The blindfold was a constant reminder of who she was and where she was. She knew who she was tracking, the things they gave her were distinct smells that she would be able to recognize anywhere, well at least one of the items was. She was made to touch a shirt of Adalinds, they kept it from the last time her sister was captured, the other shirt was another mutants but she wasn't sure who. All she could tell was that it was a females and that it had pieces of fur stuck to it. She was having to track her sister and another girl to find the runaways and her brothers revolution group, she already had a feeling where they were, together, and it really wasn't that far from where they were camped out.

Being tied to the tree was very uncomfortable for her but she was used to being inside a tight crate where she could hardly move, it felt good to at least get some fresh air. She could not see anything because of the blindfold but she could use her other senses. She kept her body slump so it looked like she was asleep and soon she heard the hunter guarding her snoring. She tried to loosten the ropes that restrained her but it was no use.

After a few minutes she heard footsteps approach her, she knew who the footsteps belonged to, one of the hunters she feared the most. Suddenly she felt her hair get pulled and heard the voice of Damien, she never talked back to him but this time she did "your going to regret this" she said with her hoarse voice.

She didn’t have to be a mind reader, or have the ability to force the truth out of someone, to know that the girl didn’t know anything. Body language said more than her words ever would. The only thing radiating from her was pure, unadulterated fear, and with good reason. Her life was about to end. She’d never really had a chance. A simple escapee, probably, never having been alone in the world, having no experience of how to function, and more importantly, how to hide. That she had stumbled across the Hunter camp was evidence of either her stupidity or her involvement in something greater. The brief interrogation had been necessary to determine which. Now that they knew she wasn’t directly a threat, they could dispose of her. Perhaps it wasn’t the ending she would have preferred, but it was the only one they could take, and she sure as hell wasn’t going to object to it.

Persephone didn’t flinch when the trigger was pulled, and the girl slumped over. The cat started mewling pitifully, and she spared it an emotionless glance before he eyes returned to Damien as he stood. She responded to his order with a slight nod, bending over and hefting the body over her shoulder. The girl weighed more than she did, but that wasn’t saying much, given her mutant condition. In her free hand she snatched the cat by the fur at the base of the neck, heading off into the woods a short ways before a great pair of black wings sprouted from her back, and she took flight.

She stayed low so as to avoid being seen by anyone. The cat was making hissing sounds, but she ignored it. Eventually she came to the edge of a small ravine, setting down lightly and tossing the body in without hesitation. It thumped to the ground rather harshly before coming to a stop amidst the rocks. She took a moment to regard the Familiar. Demeter was about somewhere, Seph had sensed her during the short flight. While she had never been without her own Familiar for long, she had felt the pain on occasion when the scientists had separated them. If nothing else, it had been an educational experience. Demi fluttered down upon Seph’s shoulder, talons settling lightly on bare skin.

She is broken without her other half, Demi said gently. There is nothing for her anymore. This is a mercy. Seph nodded, retrieving a small silenced pistol from her own boot, not unlike Damien’s. I know. This will never get easier, will it?

No. And it never should. Seph took a deep breath, before raising a steady arm towards the cat, and pulling the trigger, a soft tink accompanying the bullet as it passed through the skull and smacked against a rock. Not wanting to linger, Seph tossed the body in with the mutant. Animals would find them soon enough. They took off again, returning to camp. By the time she returned, Damien had moved to the edge of camp, and their prisoner had been dragged to her feet. Demi took off and settled somewhere in the upper branches while Seph made her way to the captive. It was stupid of her to feel any sympathy for her, she knew that, but she still thought the way Damien treated her was unnecessary. Maybe it had something to do with their mutations being so similar, both raven Flocks, but Seph knew that to be stupid as well. They were nothing alike, even if their other halves were the same animal. Still, Seph made her way over to Shade and put her hand lightly on her shoulder, not wishing to come across as threatening.

“I don’t want to hurt you,” she said softly. “But you need to cooperate. We’re almost there.”

The night was closing in on dawn when Vivianna woke up. She could tell because while the sun hadn't quite begun to light the sky the songs of the stars were growing fainter. Vivianna wasn't sure why but during the day light hours their songs were but a distant murmur. She often wondered if it was the same for other Aurora's but aside from Adalind she had never known any. She had a lot of questions but never asked Adalind too many at one time. Adalind was a quiet girl and Vivianna was always worried about overwhelming her with the multitude of questions she had. Aindreas was extremely protective of her which is why Vivianna sometimes treated her like porcelain, no need to anger her leader and all.

Sitting up she looked around to see that it wasn't only she who was awake at this hour. There were a few groups of two sitting together while the rest had made claim to separate spots across the camp. All around the escapee's stirred roused by nightmares if their brief look of fear indicated anything. Vivianna felt a pang in her chest at the thought of all the horrible things they must have endured, these thoughts reminded her of her sister and parents. After joining the revolution Vivianna made it a point to search the mutant records at every facility they would go to after liberating the captives. Eventually she found what she was looking for in a file named 'Project 01732', a picture was paper-clipped to the inside of her baby sister. She hadn't had time to read it so she took it with her.

Vivianna picked up her satchel and looked inside, her mothers jewelry sang songs of happiness and love and their songs seemed to get louder whenever she would look at them. Along side them were her fetish necklaces made of the bones of animals she would connect with so that she could see through their eyes. Then tucked away in a side pocket was the file. She hadn't read it, only opened it and looked at the picture of her baby sister and the big ugly red stamp that said 'Deceased'. There wasn't a reason under the stamp and Vivianna wasn't ready to read the file just yet.

She clutched the satchel to her chest briefly before looking around the camp once more. Noticing that the escapee she thought was also an Aurora was sitting by himself Vivianna wondered if she should go talk to him. Aindreas had said to be careful about them but she wasn't so sure that they were untrustworthy. They had been through so much she couldn't fathom the reason why they would turn on them, the people who have every mutants best interest at heart.

Having made her mind up Vivianna stood walking over to him and sitting down besides him. "So can you hear them during the day or are they completely quiet for you when the sun is up?"

Mackenzie had been in a deep sleep when the sobbing of the young mutant that had wondered into their camp woke her up. The poor pathetic thing never stood a chance outside the walls of the lab. Niveus laid next to her ever observant watching the whole event play out. When the interrogation was over and the girl was put down Mackenzie sat up and watched as Persephone went to dispose of the body and the now broken familiar. Stretching she shook her head, she could feel Damien's emotion and he had no remorse over killing the child. Her leader was a cold one indeed.

Looking out to the forest she could feel it calling her name, she wanted to run and to hunt. To be wild and free then return to her pack, a real pack where they would share their meals and warmth with one another, but this is what she had. It couldn't really be called a pack or a family yet it was all she had and as much as she wanted to give in to her wild nature Mackenzie was going to stay and do her part to be a valuable member of this team.

When Persephone got back Damien, who was upset about how the little mutant child didn't have any valuable information, was tormenting Shade, their unwilling tracker. She felt bad for the girl but there wasn't anything she could do about it, though she wasn't sure she would if she could. She just couldn't disappoint the scientist, even though she knew what terrible people they were. Most of the time she could shove the feelings away but right now all she felt was sick. Niveus nudged her gently then licked her cheek trying to comfort her. Smiling Mackenzie kissed her on her nose then walked out to Damien giving Shade a light pat on the head as she walked by her and a nod to Persephone. "I don't mean to question you or your choices but it was my understanding that we were supposed to recapture the escapee's not execute them." Mackenzie said softly not looking at Damien but staring off into the direction he was looking.

Feeling a hand on her shoulder, Amelia stiffened a bit, she hated when others touched her in any way “I don’t want to hurt you, But you need to cooperate. We’re almost there. Hearing the person speak she knew it was Seph. She didn't like any of the hunters even when they tried to show a little compassion, they made her hunt her only living family and she hated them for that. The only person that she has become to like was Jay, he helped her when she was hurting. Feeling Seph's hand still on her shoulder she let out a soft sigh "where is Sage" she asked in a whisper. She knew her familiar was in the general area because she would be feeling a lot of discomfort if she was left at the institute but the bird must of been sedated because she couldn't reach out her mind to the bird.

She wondered if Jay was also here but she has yet heard his voice. "I have just been informed that the situation is worse than we thought." Damien's voice brought her out of her thoughts, even though she couldn't see, she knew the hunters were gathering about to start the hunt. "The escapees, and the Revolution are working together, meaning that one quick attack would be messy. People might get away, and others that we were ordered to capture, might get killed. So I've come up with a new plan." She didn't like the sound of that, she was glad Aindreas got more people for the Revolution group but a new plan always got things messy. "We'll sneak into their camp while they're away on a raid and capture whoever they leave to watch, and take them back to an Institute. They'll try to make a rescue. But we'll be ready for them. We'll have someone on the inside, feeding us information about every move they make." Amelia wanted to scream, god she just wish she could get away and not have to do this any longer. She really hoped Ada and Andy were not the ones staying back, it would just make her feel worse.

She must of got lost in her mind for a few mintutes because Damien was now telling everyone to pack up and get ready. She leaned her head back against the tree and waited there until one of the hunters came to fetch her and make her start tracking again.

Aindreas was already getting annoyed with Vera, he did not like having her step in like she is part of the leadership. Relax Andy, she is just trying to give you a hard time, females do that Kefir's voice was heard through his thoughts and he shook his head looking over at his Familiar who was stretched out next to Ada. He looked back to Vera as the girl started talking again."Careful now, you wouldn't want to be like the humans now would you?" He growled softly wanting to tell her she should just go now, he wasn't sure how long he will be able to work with Vera if she kept this up "They seem to think they can tell people not to be themselves. Don't tell me not to Warp around. I'm a Sly. Unless you chain me to a tree, I'll Warp where I want.".

His anger was nearly spiking and he could feel the heat in his hands, he looked over to Ada and then tried to take a few deep breaths to calm himself before he accidentally starts something on fire."This area is my are so try to be respectful…remember whose territory you are on". He growled then turned around as he heard another person approach, he gave a nod to Leif as he reported in "Good morning. Aindreas, the Institution isn't active right now. I only saw one guard on patrol and he looked pretty tired. There are two doors, a main entrance and a back door that has some sort of fancy electronic lock on it. There's a large window on the ground floor, too. I'm guessing because of that they keep the captives in higher floors or underground,". He took a few moments to think this over the patted Leif's shoulder "alright, thank you Leif that information will be very useful to us".

Vera then started talking about the plan which made him focus back on the red head "I like your plan Aindreas. Not bad. However, a ring of fire? It would take too long for you to set up, and we need you to do other things", he really couldn't argue with that so he continued to listen to Vera. What if you have...This Feline, make a force field around the place while we're in there and stand at one of the doors? That way, nothing can get in until we're done, and he can take it down for us to get out." He took a couple minutes to consider her idea "His name is Leif and if he can keep up the force field long enough than that would be a good idea" he then looked to Leif "think you are up for that?"

As he waited for Leif's response Vera spoke up again "And don't you worry your little head about my people. They'll follow me anywhere. We should also all pair up, so that no one's alone." He looked at her, thinking that over, they usually kept together when going on a raid because they had such a small group but with the escapees joining them it would be different this time. "Usually we all stick together but in this case we have more people, so yes I agree. I also think my people should pair up with some of your people because we have done raids before you have not."

He the looked over to Ada "How about you go find um the girl Boo and get aquainted with her, also make sure to keep your eyes peeled and use your abilities if you have to Adalind" he said the last part in a bit of a protective voice. Kefir gave Ada a soft nuzzled then got up and went to Aindreas's side. Aindreas looked down to Kefir I have a bad feeling about something Kefir, but I can't pinpoint it. His intuition was usually very good and Kefir knew this You think somethings going to happen on the raid? Kefir asked looking up at him. A slight sigh escaped his mouth I don't know Kefir, I just don't know.

Back under the veil it was, then.

Seph would have given Shade some kind of response, but Damien’s voice commanded her attention, and at the sound of him she snapped her gaze in his direction like a dog trained to jump at a sound. Her hands she folded neatly behind her back, her stare unblinking and certainly not warm. Emotionless was the better word. She’d been forced to show no reaction to so many things that it became more or less second nature at some point.

It was a pretty typical entrance he had proposed, collapsing into a rebel or escapee camp, wounded and seemingly delirious, inventing a tale about a desperate escape from an Institute or fleeing a massacre from some Revolutionary camp. It certainly wasn’t her preferred method of infiltration considering that it involved injuring herself, but she’d done it enough times before in reality, and simulated it countless times in labs, to know how to handle it. Still, she couldn’t help but wonder if her leader had any qualms about ordering her to sustain a serious injury in order to conjure sympathy in their prey.

He is an efficient leader, if perhaps a little aggressive, Demi said from somewhere above them, perched on a branch. He uses your skills effectively. We should be able to avoid any direct conflict this way. Seph was tempted to roll her eyes, but the knowledge that only she was privy to the conversation they were having stopped her. Unless you count me taking a bullet or two for effect as direct conflict. She could feel Demi as if she were next to her, her Familiar offering a comforting nudge. We’ve done this before, Seph. The Revolutionaries may kill you if it comes to conflict. Our allies will not kill us. If nothing else, we are more useful alive.

That got an eye roll, which she hoped wouldn’t be interpreted as her disliking the orders given to her. She put a few steps between her and Shade, before speaking to Damien. She stood just outside the tent, hands folded behind her back as before. “If I’m to infiltrate the revolutionaries,” she began, cautiously, “I believe it would be best if I did not take part in the capturing of their watchers. The less people that see my face, the better. With your permission, I’d like to hold back until the task is completed. We can then prepare my injuries and appearance in private, and continue from there.” The calm way in which she said all of that implied how typical this was for her. Few people could speak of seriously injuring themselves as calmly as someone trained to do it for all of their life.

Demi flapped down to settle on her shoulder, perhaps to get a look at Damien herself. “I can send information through my Familiar, in the form of written messages… unless there is another way to communicate you have in mind.”

Damien's agitation left as quickly as it came, the flash of emotion that rolled off of him left a bitter taste in her mouth. "Not that I should have to explain my decisions to you, but, the girl I killed was not on the list of mutants we're required to take alive. My orders are that I have to return only those that are on the list, and if I can recapture anyone else, but if not, then they can be killed if they have to be." The urge to argue with him was strong but Mackenzie suppressed it. That pathetic feline did not 'have to be' killed as Damien made it seem. Though truthfully she couldn't see that the feline would have been any use if she had been allowed to live, that didn't mean she deserved to die. In the end it wasn't her place to make those choices. Instead of saying how she felt, Mackenzie simply nodded and followed him to the rest of the camp. She took a seat on a fallen tree that was now mostly hollowed out and, if her nose was right, was recently home to some raccoons. Niveus sat beside her gently nudging her knee gently "You shouldn't have to hide you're feelings or you're true nature" the white wolfs voice whispered across her mind, there was no judgement but Mackenzie could tell she disapproved "And what would become of me if I was me, not their little solider?" Niveus huffed at her but didn't say anymore about it. "You should pay attention to the over sized cat while he's telling his grand plan." Mackenzie bit her lip to hide her smirk, her wolf was never fond of fallowing the orders of a cat, not even a big cat.

After Damien laid out the next course of action he dismissed them to go and break down camp, not that there was much for her to break down, Mackenzie didn't bring much with her on hunts only necessities. Once she was done she went and sat on the same tree she had before, her back to the rest of the group. Staring out into the trees she could almost hear the wilds call out to her, like her name was being carried along and whispered by the wind. "We could always go, just run. Run until we couldn't hold ourselves up any more. Until we are about to pass out from exhaustion." Mackenzie smiled at the thought as she reached down and scratched between Niveus' ear. "As nice as that sounds we would still never be free." She said looking over her shoulder. "Not so long as they still have her." That flock was as pathetic as the feline but she was useful and that's why she was still around. Mackenzie felt sorry for her but she couldn't be in contact with her too much, the emotions that girl felt, the anger, pain, the loss of hope, it was all too much sometimes.

"Em can you make sure everyone's up and ready to go in fifteen." Vivianna looked up at her leader and she nodded then looked back at Adalind as she got up "When we get back we'll look at them and see if one connects with you ok?" giving her a warm smile Vivianna left to gather up the rest of the group. Alex and another escapee were sitting and talking when she approached and cleared her throat."Sorry to interrupt but we're gathering everyone for the raid, just head on over to Aindreas and he'll go over the plan when everyone is present." Smiling and giving a plite nod she wondered off to the next escapee, a pride, who was making her way towards the rest of the group. "Hey everyone's gathering for the pre-raid meeting, go ahead and join up with everyone." On her way to the last escapee She passed by the little stripe girl and gave her a small wave, she was a cute kid. The last escapee was a flock, and by the looks of it he was anxious. "Hey there, I'm Emerald. The others are gathering now to talk about the raid, you should join us." She smiled and waved for him to follow her and she walked back to the group.

Pausing a moment she looked at all the others, she was worried. Would all of them be able to handle going back into another institute? Could they handle that? What if they were like those people she read about once who had been in wars and had flashbacks when something or someone would trigger a memory of the times they were in active duty. She wasn't just worried about her team and the possibility that one of the escapees would cost them their lives but also for the escapee's themselves. After all they had been through could they really keep it together or would this just damage them more? Taking a deep breath Vivianna decided to voice her concerns when everyone was gathered around. It was defiantly something to be discussed and thought upon.

Jay rocked back and forth in his cage.

They left him here.....

Alone.....

He reached out for Argan in his mind once again to give him some kind of comfort, but like before, it was useless. He was too far away from him, probably alone, in the dark....Just. Like. Him.

He assumed this was the way drug addicts felt when they were in rehab. Jay felt like he was going to die, being without Argan or Lia, even Sage would bring him some comfort. Lia was taken on a hunt though, and probably Sage too, and Argan was probably in the same torture chamber. There was only pathetic helplessness to keep Jay company here in the dark.

Seconds always felt like hours here, and it would be literal hours before he could get out. Jay wondered how long it would take Lia to realize he wasn't with her. That blindfold was torture enough for both of them, and his ability only worked one way. Her thoughts were the comfort he found when alone, because in a way, he was with her again.

Even if she didnt know it, it was the way she comforted him in his literally dark hours, while he could comfort her in her figuratively dark hours....His mind howled out in desperation.

“If I’m to infiltrate the revolutionaries,” Damien stopped mid-pack, hearing a voice outside his tent. Seph. With a sigh, he pushed out and stood before her, listening as she spoke. “I believe it would be best if I did not take part in the capturing of their watchers. The less people that see my face, the better. With your permission, I’d like to hold back until the task is completed. We can then prepare my injuries and appearance in private, and continue from there.” Damien was impressed to say the least. He was a sexist guy, and preferred his women to be as feminine as possible. Not because he liked them that way, but because he thought that was all they were capable of. Their emotions got in the way too often. However, here Seph was, speaking of her own injuries without so much as a twitch. He nodded approvingly for a brief second, and watched as her Familiar came down to look at him. “I can send information through my Familiar, in the form of written messages… unless there is another way to communicate you have in mind.”

Damien nodded. He liked the idea of using her Familiar a lot. In the middle of the night, no one would even realize that her raven was missing. "Alright, done and done. You can stay behind with..." He glanced at the Hunters and picked a random male Feline. "Travis, and wait until we return. It's best if no one sees you. Not even the prisoners. And I like the idea of using your Familiar as a way to communicate. We'll go with that. Make sure you can pull this off. I have no doubt it they find out what you are, they'll kill you. When we get back, the others will take the prisoners and continue on. I'll stay back to make sure your settled in with the Revolution, and then I'll head off."

With that, he turned back to collecting his things. Once he was packed, and the twins had packed up his tent, he walked across the now dismantled camp to the prisoner. "Lucky day." He said to her. "Rajah has already scouted ahead and found the camp so we wont need you. However, you will be coming with us, just in case they moved last minute."

"Mackenzie!" He called across the camp. "You'll be in charge of escorting the prisoner on our way there. Make sure she doesn't try anything funny."

With that, he turned to the rest of the camp, all now packed up, his Hunters were ready to move. They would leave their things here, ready-and-packed, so that when they got back, they'd be able to just take off. "Let's go." He said, nudging his Familiar, Rajah up front to lead the way as he turned and disappeared into the woods.

A deep frown formed on Mackenzie's face as she heard her new orders. She wasn't happy about her glorified babysitting assignment, she was pack, she wanted to hunt, to chase. Thinking about it while looking around at the forest caused something to stir inside her. It felt like the beating of primitive drums, wild and feral. Closing her eyes, Mackenzie began to slowly sway with with the sound as her other side, her wild side, began to fill her. She breathed in, filling her lungs to let lose a howl. "Mackenzie!" Niveus' voice along with a nip to her hand brought her back to the here and now. Blinking she shook herself like a wet dog to shake off the residual feeling of the wild but something felt off. You're in your half form Mackenzie, the call was strong and you almost gave in. Giving a sigh she patted Niveus "Thanks for that, it's getting harder not to give into my nature."

Mackenzie self consciously felt her snow white ears, which sat in great contrast to her hair. No matter how she colored her hair in her half form the fur on her ears would always be her natural color. Before her behavior drew too much attention she made her way over to the little flock. She didn't want to touch her, she could feel how upset she was about having to move out and hunt down her own, not that Mackenzie liked hunting down her own kind, she was just bred into this life.

Standing over her Mackenzie crossed her arms "Can you stand on your own or do you need a hand? No offence but I feel the same about touching you as you do me." She really didn't want to feel how Shade was feeling, she had enough strong emotions raging inside of her. Then again she could always make Shade more agreeable if the need arose.

Boo

Boo was curled up beside Sombra when she sensed someone approaching, she was facing away from the camp so she had to sit up and turn around to see who had come to see her. She was hoping it was either Alex or Vera but it wasn't, it was one from the Revolution group, the girl that she would be staying back with. She wasn't happy that she was going to be away from Vera or Alex, what happened if she had one of her episodes and Alex wasn't here to calm her. She was glad that she wouldn't have to step back into the insititute, just thinking about it made her have a few flashbacks, She closed her eyes and her body shook a little, Sombra noticed this and gently nudged Boo Your okay Boo, you are not there any more. Your safe, Sombra spoke into her mind and calm her a bit.

"Hi." Boo opened her eyes as the other girl spoke "I'm Adalind. We'll be staying back to watch camp together." She wasn't sure what to say, she wasn't one to talk much unless she was with Vera or Alex and even then she was mostly quiet. You should at leat tell her who you are Boo, she isn't going to hurt you Sombra spoke into her mind trying to reassure her a convince her to be sociable. She looked down at her lap and spoke in a soft voice "Hello...I..um..Im Boo" she usually only let Vera or Alex call her Boo, she tolld others to call her Rave, but there was something about the girl that made her want to trust her.

She shrunk back into Sombra when the leader, Aindreas, came by and spoke to Adalind. The guy intimidated her a bit so she stayed quiet as the spoke. She saw Alex come over just as Aindreas left, she gave him a slight smile but she could tell something was bothering her brother when he began to talk. "Sister, how are you holding up" she shrugged a little, trying to figure out what to say to her brother. She was still upset that she was going to be away from Vera and her brother while they went on the raid but she couldn't form the words so she began using sign language that Alex and hr bother knew. Her hands moved fast as she was signing Vera told me I have to stay back, she doesn't want me going on the raid Alex. I am scared...what if something happens to either of you..I couldn't deal with that her emotions clearly showed on her face and she let out a small huff. She spoke her next question as she looked right at Alex, knowing he wouldn't be able to lie "wh..whats bothering you?"

Shade

Amelia spaced out a bit but was brought back to her unwanted reality when a familiar voice started to speak to her "Lucky day." she rolled her eyes behind the blindfold as Damien spoke, she really wished she could send a spirit to haunt Damien but she hasn't been able to use that ability in year because of the blindfold "Rajah has already scouted ahead and found the camp so we wont need you. However, you will be coming with us, just in case they moved last minute." She didn't say anything as she heard his footsteps leave, he yelled for Makenzie, saying that she would be the one to watch her.

Amelia thought lf Jayy and wished he was with her, she let out a sigh and rested her head against the tree. A different pair of footsteps came up to her ans this time she recognized the voice as Makenzie. "Can you stand on your own or do you need a hand? No offence but I feel the same about touching you as you do me." If Makenzie was able to see Amelia's eyes she would see that she was glaeing at her "No offence but you don't know how I really feel" she spat out, she was unable to see and her hands were tied behind her back but she did try to stand on her own but she kept losong her balamce. She was weak, they didn't feed her that much so she was always at the point of starving.

She didn't want Makenzie's help but she didn't see any other way "looks like ill need help" she murmered "and where is Sage...she will be coming right?" She hoped they would take her Familiar along, she has had to track without Sage before and in the end she passed out because of being too far from her.
