Terrence doesn’t generally try to stand out much, him dying his hair green was just on impulse rather than an attempt to get people to notice him. He has his glasses to see further away, but he generally just wears them all the time. His outfits are just everyday clothes. He enjoys wearing t-shirts of his favorite comic book heroes and bands, and just ordinary jeans. He does carry around a laptop bag almost everywhere he goes, though it doesn’t always carry his laptop.

❥ LIKES Sweets It’s his one weakness really. The quickest way to make him happy or to apologize is by making him something sweet.
❥ LIKES Drawing He spent so much of his time drawing since he was little. He thought he’d make a career out of it, but his parents wouldn’t allow it.
❥ LIKES Reading He will always enjoy curling up with a good book, whether that be a novel or a comic book. It relaxes him.
❥ LIKES Noise Not loud noise, he just doesn’t like being in a quiet place, so he usually has music playing or something in the background. It helps him concentrate.

⌦ DISLIKES Secrets Having been cheated on, he hates it when people keep secrets from him.
⌦ DISLIKES Liars He was always told by his grandfather that telling the truth was always better than a lie. It stuck with him and anyone that lies to him gets cut out of his life.
⌦ DISLIKES Leaving a Mess It’s one thing to make a mess, it’s another to just leave it there for someone else to clean. He hates the feeling of making someone else clean up after him or leaving a mess for him to clean up later.

}Terrence didn't ever make an effort to stand out to other people. He enjoys being alone, but when he is dragged out by his friends he has a good time. He enjoys listening to other people's problems and rants. He may not act like a people person, but the few that are willing to stand by him have a friend for life. It can be hard to tolerate his outlook on life, but it is worth having his friendship. He's known for going out of the way for his friends, making sure that they are as happy as they can be. When he sets out to do something, he always tries to finish it, but he can be absentminded sometimes and it can take him a lot longer than normal to actually finish what he's trying to finish. He's rather pessimistic about everything though and that can lead to people getting irritated by him being such a downer.

When Terrence was younger he was really close with his grandfather. He would spend entire users with his grandfather and get teased by his cousins for believing in his weird religion. His grandfather still happened to believe in the elemental gods, and Terrence did the same. They prayed to them and everything, until Terry was in middle school and decided that the religion was ridiculous.

He still made his grandfather happy by pretending to still worship the elemental gods. He was the only one that still sat around and listened to his grandpa's stories. As he hit high school he figured out that he wasn't straight and things started to get bad. He came out to his family, and his parents, sister and grandpa were extremely accepting. When his more distant family found out they refused to go to any family gatherings he was going to be at. Everything got worse when his best friend outed him to the whole school, and he not only lost a good friend but got bullied for two years of his high school life.

During third year of high school he and a childhood friend had reconnected and became great friends once again. He also managed to find himself a boyfriend. The three went to the same college in San Francisco, and everything was starting to look up. Until his grandfather died and things started going downhill again. He got home early from his visit to his hometown only to find his childhood friend and boyfriend cheating on him. He has been skipping school and work for a good two weeks now. Living on his own for the first time in a studio apartment and ready to just go back home.

It was another sunny day in San Francisco, like most days. Instead of going to class, Terrence was laying down in AstroTurf grass on the campus grounds. He had meant to go to class, but he didn't even make it to the door. He just laid out in the grass in the sunny day. His laptop bag laid on his chest and a box in his hand. An old jewelry box, it looked so uninteresting and so simple. It was definitely something he wouldn't generally have, but it was the one thing his grandfather left for him. He was stuck with this old box, wondering what his grandfather was trying to tell him with this stupid box. "It's probably just a stupid box, right? You thought this would be some great thing from some old time, but it's just a jewelry box worth absolutely nothing...just like my life."

"Hey, Terry! What are you doing out here?" A young girl stood next to the young man staring down with a smile. "And what's up with that small box?"

"Oh, hey Sam, I was gonna go to class...but then..." Terrence trailed off as he sat up, looked to the door of the university then back towards the rest of the city and sighed heavily. "I don't know, I just didn't make it. I couldn't do class today, I guess."

"What about the box?" Sam sighed.

"It's the last thing my grandfather left me. I've been trying to figure out why he'd give me this and only this," Terrence sighed.

"Alright, well, how about I walk you home? You shouldn't be sitting around here. One of your teachers might find you and be angry with how you've been skipping class for three weeks now. You should really think about withdrawing this semester," Sam reached out a hand that Terrence grabbed onto. She helped him get off the ground and the two started walking home. Sam told Terrence what he had missed the last few class periods, and Terry just nodded and stared at the ground. Everything went smoothly as the two made their way back to Terry's house. Sam left Terrence at the door to his apartment, where he just stared a the door.

It had been two weeks since he caught his ex boyfriend and childhood friend having sex in his bed. He kicked out both of them and all their stuff had been taken out. His boyfriend had to find a new place to live and he had lost all contact with both of them. He was still afraid to open the door, he always felt like he'd end up back in that same day finding the same situation happening to him. He hated himself coming home early, at least then he at least wouldn't have found them doing it. Maybe, one of them would have felt guilty and told him. Life would still suck, but at least he wouldn't have caught them in the act. It made it feel more real, and more hurtful.

Finally, the boy opened the door and stepped in. His studio apartment cleaned from top to bottom, everything in it's proper place. The only thing that was still a mess was his bed that he had forgotten to remake that morning. He walked right over to his messed up bed and sat on top of it, once again staring at the box that was in his hand. He started to think this thing was just a joke. Then the idea came to him that it may have had to do with those silly elemental god stories that his grandfather used to tell. Maybe, this was supposed to represent one of the gods? Right, wasn't the Earth god stowed away in some box for his long sleep? What was that guys name again? He started questioning what it could be linked to in his head. The was on the tip of his tongue, he was sure it started with an 'E'. "Eleutherius. That was your name right? Geeze my grandfather loved telling me old stories about you. The stuff that had been passed around through story telling through generations and generations. I can't believe that this religion even made it to modern day that way."

The box started to get warmer in Terrence's hands, it got so warm that he had to drop it on the floor. "Okay, that's weird." Terry nearly jumped to the other side of his bed, away from the jewelry box now laying on his floor, still growing in temperature.

“Good night Eleutherius, I’ll be here when you wake up.”

A soft voice, always constant, was always reassuring him of its presence. It was a temptation towards a consciousness he could not achieve. To wake up and see his desires, the ultimate motivation to break away from a near eternal sleep, yet the sleep that was never a necessity had become the shackles of his mind. She was right there, her voice whispered all around him, caressed the edges of his awareness, but never actually reached him. He had become a prisoner to his own existence, his dormancy had always been inevitable from the moment he submitted himself to a human form, and his humanness had become his suffering.

Time expanded and contracted around him with each breath he took. Even if the human world evaded him dormant mind the rest of the universe could not. He could see pictures of his past, as an omnipotent existence that had been able to craft whole worlds with the broken matter destroyed by asteroids and the dust of imploded stars. His all powerfulness had led him to earth, his abilities had introduced him to humanity and the human race had conquered a feat no other being in the universe had: taming the minds of deities whose thoughts had been touched by millenniums of existence. Why had he ever limited himself? What did humanity have an entire universe did not?

In his dormancy he had a lot of time to introspect his existence. The human race stood a top a food chain when they never should have. That was what had brought Eleutherius down to them in the first place. It had been a vacation, a change of pace, to understand why they were the way they were. And never, in all his existence, had he seen creatures that defied expectation.

Humanity was unlike anything the rest of the universe had ever birthed. He had created entire ecosystems, yet never had the things he created acted human. Never had anything looked towards the sky and written stories into the bright dots that they could not possibly comprehend. Never had any creature he had ever created look at each other and act in passion, jealousy, and revenge. Hell, most of the creatures on earth were like the rest of the universe, but not humans. Never, ever, did he think being with them would change him. He never thought they would influence him. And he never thought he would feel passion, jealously, guilt, and he never thought he’d fall in love.

“Eleutherius…” But then again, never did he think a creature could stand out so drastically against a universe full of exorbitantly beautiful things, not even a human, yet he was wrong once again. And love was no easy game. She became everything, she was brighter than the stars he once watched over and more vast the oceans he had once watched his fellow deities create. He believed she was undoubtedly the most extraordinary thing the universe had ever produced, and he knew nothing would ever again compare to her radiance. He wanted nothing more than to wake up and see her face, so he even entrusted his all to her, and only she would be able to waken him.

“Eleutherius.” He sighed, warmth rushing through the ends of his fingers, air filling his lungs as he inhaled, and sound nestling in the drums of his ears. Sensation was something he had long ago lost to the dormancy, and the change of environment had the deities heart pounding with apprehension. She would be waiting for him, undoubtedly, her shock of red hair, her brilliant smile, just the way she had left him.
-
The jewelry box increased in heat until its surface began to change color, it blackened at the edges and streams of steam began hissing out of its cracks. The reawakening of an ancient deity was no small occurrence. Its color changed, going from red to white as the heat reached its pinnacle and the box snapped open, letting out a blinding light to hide whatever was happening inside of it. It couldn’t to increase its light output until the entire room of enveloped in the blinding rays, and it did not fade for several minutes. A high pitched squealing akin a teapot whistled from its depths.

It didn’t stop until the light began to fade, and as it did it revealed a man had appeared in the room. He was tall and dark haired, dressed in clothing that looked like they belonged in a different time period and an array of beautiful jewel encrusted jewelry. A long spear rested against one of his shoulders, pinned into place by a folded arm and with his eyes closed he looked nearly divine.
-
As Eleutherius opened his eyes the content expression fell nearly immediately and was replaced with one of near panic and extreme confusion. Nothing in his field of vision looked human, or even as if it belonged on earth. His heart clenched in his chest as he wondered where he could have possibly woken in a world entirely different and darted his eyes around the room until they fell on a figure that was definitely human and definitely not Yona.

“Who the fuck are you? Where the fuck am I?” He curled his lip in distaste at the male, nothing about this setting seemed like earth, not the fabrics, not the structures, and the only thing that resembled something from his memory was the jewelry box that looked much too beaten up and old to reassure him Yona was somewhere close.

When Terrence caught sight of the steam coming from the box, he nearly fell off the edge of his bed as he tried to get as far as possible from the thing. He would have jumped off and ran to the other side of the room, or try to find some kind of cover, but he was afraid his legs just wouldn't work. He was stunned by whatever was going on, and he was pretty convinced that this box was going to explode at any moment. "Shit. Shit shit shit shit. What is this?" He muttered under his breath, still unable to take his eyes off whatever was happening on the other side of his bed.

There wasn't much time to contemplate what he was going to do, when the bright light started to show and he was trying his hardest to keep his eyes open, while covering his ears from the high pitched squeal. He just wanted whatever was going on to stop right this moment. He was already afraid that whatever was going on was going to get him into so much trouble. He expected this thing to explode and shatter into millions of pieces. Then the last thing he had to remember his grandfather would be completely gone and he'd be stuck trying to explain how a jewelry box exploded and caused extreme damage to his apartment.

It finally stopped, and Terrence was staring at the person in front of him with awe. The last thing he was expecting was a person to come out of the box. His hands fell from the ears back onto the bed as he tried to figure out what had just happened. He started to think he was going completely insane. He was quite positive that this all had to be some kind of dream or something. There was no way an actual person could have come from that small box.

“Who the fuck are you? Where the fuck am I?” The man from the box spoke. Whatever panic had been in Terrence before left. He had no right to be so rude, or really even be here to begin with. This thing needed to leave and that was exactly what had to happen now. He didn't need to deal with whatever this thing was, especially if he was going to act like that.

Terrence glared at the other man, almost sneering at him. "Who the fuck am I? Who the fuck are you? And what are you doing here?" Terrence growled. Not willing to answer what this man had demanded to know. Whatever just happened had to be reversed.

"Who the fuck am I? Who the fuck are you? And what are you doing here?" Eleutherius nearly took a step back in shock at what the human had said. His eyes flickered down to the box and back to him, what did this guy mean? If he was the keeper of the jewelry box, if he had been able to awaken Eleutherius from his dormancy then he must have been part of the Earth Bloodline, it would be impossible to do so otherwise. His hand clenched around the long spear, irritation wrote itself across his features.

“I am Eleutherius, God of the Land, if you are of the Earth Bloodline you should have known this. Are you stupid or something? You have awoken me from my dormancy.” He huffed in annoyance before bending over to pick up the jewelry box he had spent his dormancy in, surely Yona would not lose the box? He ran his thumb over the smooth surface of the wood, but this man wouldn’t be able to summon him if he didn’t have Yona’s blood in him.

He raised his eyes from the box, looking around the place he had been summoned, disregarding the stupid man for a moment to investigate. This place was like nothing he had ever experienced. Everything looked so clean and precise, and even the objects that appeared to be made of wood didn’t look like actual wood. He approached what looked like a desk and ran his fingers over it. It was smooth, no hints of the classic roughness of wooden furniture. It was truly something incredible. He scanned the strange desk, his eyes travelling along all the strange objects he couldn’t even begin to comprehend. The stark white square was what stood out the most though. He had never seen such a pure white on earth before and the man picked it up, feeling the rough texture between his thumbs. “Is this your parchment?

He set it back on the desk looking around the room some more, the jewelry box clenched in his right hand and the spear against his left shoulder. “This is… earth right?”

“Hmm… how did you cut it so thin? Incredible.” Turning the parchment over in his hand he set it back down. The longer he had spent in this place the more he realized that it was still Earth, and he had figured it before the man before him even confirmed it. Even if all the things around him were so different from what he remembered it was still a very human looking scene. Humanity had this style to their creations that has easily recognizable, the desk was still a desk, and the structure that the boy was standing at was still a bed, it was all very human, very earth. He god looked back to the boy, sizing him up and judging how to deal with him. It was hard to believe that Yona’s blood ran through his veins.

He snorted when the man admitted that he was stupid and took a step forward, they were basically the same height, Eleutherius was just the slightest bit taller though. The man that had summoned him had stood as well, trying to make commands and control him. This kid didn’t know anything about the deities it seemed. He didn’t know about dormancy or the nature of the gods and the conditions for controlling them, and Eleutherius decided it gave him an upper hand in the situation. He smirked, a big shit eating grin spreading over his features.

“I’m not really feeling it, may be later.” He took another step forward so he was in the man’s personal space, leaning forward with the grin still in place before he bypassed the man and fell to the messy bed behind them. The fluffy looking material had caught his interest from across the room and he hadn’t been able to resist it. The beds that he had been introduced to before his dormancy had not encouraged him to take up sleeping as a hobby, but as he hit this new earth bed he could definitely see himself sleeping for fun. He set both his spear and jewelry box on the ground and rolled his entire body into the bed, sighing contently.

“This, is amazing.” He rolled over in the bed, grabbing the fluffiest blanket he could find and rolling himself into it. He had re-awoken less than five minutes ago and already was he considering sleep, nothing that would trigger his dormancy, but the softness of this bed was something fit for gods. He turned so that he was facing the other man, “I don’t plan on leaving any time soon.”

He didn’t say it just to annoy his summoner, well that was part of it, but after spending what appeared to be an exorbitant amount of time in his dormancy he wanted to see how much the Earth he loved so much had changed. Just the things in this man’s room were amazing, he couldn’t begin to imagine what less had changed on earth while he was asleep. It made him excited to think about.

Terrence leaned back when the god got into his personal space. He did not like the way this guy was talking to him and he wasn't exactly welcoming of any new guests in his house. This was not going to work out for him in anyway, and he wasn't going to allow someone to stay around that he barely knew. God or not. He was not interested in a new roommate and he was not interested in trying to teach an ancient deity how to act in the modern age. He just got rid of one person that was living off of him, and he wasn't about to go back to having to worry about another person living in his house. He wasn't going to be the only one working, and trying to make it on his own, while still having to ask his parents to cover groceries for him and another person.

He wanted to just wipe that grin off that deities, face and he had no idea why. There was no reason for him to be so angry as to want to do anything physically violent. Maybe it was all the stuff that had gone wrong with him starting to come to the surface, or maybe he was just really not in the mood to deal with some god trying to take over like he owned the place. Terrence had his fists clenched and trying his hardest not to attack someone who clearly had a weapon. Even if it was an outdated weapon, it was still something that would hurt a lot more than the damage Terrence could cause.

Though, when Eleutherius decided to make himself comfortable on Terrence's bed, that was the last straw. He glared at the god with fire in his eyes. "Nope, no, nu-uh, you can not sleep on my bed." Terrence snapped. "I don't care who you are, or what you do. You do not get to sleep, or lay in my bed. You can go make yourself comfortable back in your jewelry box if you want to take a nap." Terrence may have been a little too touchy about his bed, but after he watched his ex-boyfriend and bestfriend having sex in it, who could really blame him? He had just worked on getting back to sleeping on it again, after buying new blankets and pillows, and even having to turn over the mattress. He wasn't about to let another person sleep on it and get away with it. Even if it was just the harmless action of actually sleeping.

The green haired boy grabbed Eleutherius' arm and used all his weight and strength to pull backwards. In the few moments of just trying to stop himself from hitting the deity the first time, he had forgotten about the spear that El carried on his back. The only thing on his mind was the fact that this man was on his bed, and he didn't like that.

“Nope, no, nu-uh, you can not sleep on my bed.” Eleutherius rolled over in the nest of blankets he had huddled himself in. The boy continued to rant about him and his position in the bed. El didn’t particularly care for the rambling, but he was picking up the subtle hint that his summoner wanted him to leave. He didn’t plan on doing that though, as the fact that he was even here in the first place meant the deity wouldn’t be leaving for a while. He went to speak up about it when he was suddenly lurched out of the bed.

He let out a startled squawk as he was ripped out of the warm bundle of blanket and onto the hard ground by his arm. It startled him enough to trigger his reflexive battle instincts, the spear that had been laid on the ground poised in his hands with the blade pointed towards the man’s throat. The goal had been to get the ground to quake a bit for an little extra dramatic flare and he was surprised when the land didn't react to his will. His eyes flickered towards the window, where a branch reached out towards him, but that was the extent of it, he must have been asleep for a very long time to have gotten this weak, and that irritated him. He gave his summoner a very cold and steady look and pushed the tip of the spear forward so it barely grazed the skin of his throat, taking out a small bit of his aggravation on the man. He held the position for a moment before dropping the hostile stance, the spear retreating back to his side and he leaned it against the side of his body, effectively freeing both his hands. There wasn't a point in slaying his summoner, it would only make him weaker.

“Listen…” He paused, suddenly aware of the fact he didn’t know the name of his summoner and had to keep himself from letting out a frustrated growl. Instead he continued on despite not knowing the man’s name, “Linda. I’m getting the feeling you don’t really want me here, but you’re the one that summoned me. I can’t just ‘get back in the box’, it doesn’t work that way. Whether you like it or not we are stuck together.”

It wasn’t actually entirely true. A normal dormancy took almost a year of preparation to initiate, but since he had just been awakened, and since he wasn’t contracted, forced dormancy was a possibility. But, Linda didn’t seem to have even the slightest bit of knowledge about him or the other deities, and he had no obligation or purpose to not lie to the man. El bent down to pick up the discarded jewelry box, the wood was so worn and aged that he must have been in his dormancy for centuries, maybe even a millennia, the thought hurt his heart a bit. He held out the box to Linda, his lips pressed in a firm line. “You’re going to have to get used to me whether you like it or not.”

Terrence was caught by surprise when he was able to easily move the god from his bed. He honestly thought that it wouldn't work at all. He figured that Eleutherius would be stronger, or at least heavier than his own strength. It even made him stumble back a bit when he actually succeeded in his action. He would have fallen backwards and end up on the floor with the god, but he was quick to realize what was about to happen and balanced himself out. He had let go of El's arm right as he was at the edge of the bed which just made him tumble off the bed anyways.

He was caught by surprise again when the man pointed the spear at his throat. How could he have forgotten about that spear? He knew it was there, and to do something so stupid as to force the god off his bed would of course provoke him. Terrence's eyes widened, and his entire body stiffened. He only moved his eyes to glance at the spear and then back at the man. He just waited for him to cut into his throat with it as it actually hit his flesh. He was able to get himself to back up just enough to pull away from the blade. He assumed that this meant he was dead, that he had done something terrible and was going to pay for his life. His heart was racing so fast that he thought if the god didn't kill him, his heart would do it. His eyes were still locked on with Eleutherius almost waiting for him to just press it further.

When that didn't happen and the spear went down instead, he let out a huge sigh of relief. He closed his eyes and leaned against the wall that was now a lot closer than he had thought it was. He took a few deep breaths paying very little attention to the god that was now speaking to him. His focus was on trying to get his heart to slow down and his thoughts to calm down. The last thing he cared about was whatever El was spouting from his face now.

"Whether you like it or not we are stuck together.” Terrence finally opened his eyes and glared back at El. He wasn't really happy with that answer, especially not with the fact that this god had just threatened to kill him. This guy had made the worst first impression ever, and it was just getting worse as it continued on. It wasn't true that they were forced to stay together, there was nothing keeping them in the same place. He could kick this guy out of his home just as easily. Especially, if this man was going to be threatening him all the time. “You’re going to have to get used to me whether you like it or not.” That was the last thing he wanted to hear at the moment. El was just making this situation worse and it started to make him want to just kick the god out.

"Alright, first of all...my name is Terrence. I'd take Linda as an insult but considering how rude you have already been from the beginning, I'll just add it to your terrible first impression you have made to begin with. Second, give me one good reason to let you stay in my house. I can easily just leave you out on the streets, there is nothing keeping me from doing that right at this moment. You've been rude absolutely rude to me, and I don't need to have to take care of another adult who's just taking from me," Terrence huffed. He crossed his arms, making up his mind that this spear thing may have been terrifying, but he wasn't going to let anyone push him around anymore.

El watched as the man freaked out over having the spear aimed at him, which was generally understandable, but humans had always been big about weaponry. And what was weirder was how the man didn't even fight back when it was pushed against his throat, instead accepting his fate as dead in that moment. His actions made Eleutherius want to actually slay him though, it was such a cowardly thing to do. When he had been awake everyone had carried some form of a weapon on their person, even if they weren’t in a warrior profession. From the looks of it though, the man didn’t even have a single self-defense weapon stashed around the strange room, and he had to wonder how he protected himself from intruders and thieves. His eyes darted around the room again; maybe there was some sort of secret compartment that stashed the weapons that Eleutherius wasn’t able to locate.

“Hmm… I prefer Linda.”
Was the deity’s first comment after Terrance had finished his rant. The more the man talked the less El liked him. Terrance acted as if some had shoved something much to large up his ass and he couldn’t get it out, and for all his talk of Eleutherius being rude, he wasn’t doing much better. It actually made him quite angry, and the feeling boiled deep within his gut, a frustrated frown plastering itself on his expression. He shoved the jewelry box forward and into the man’s arms, his eyebrows bunched together in animosity and the grip on his spear tight.

“You know, you aren’t much better. I haven’t interacted with humanity for what appears to be an exorbitant amount of time, I don’t really know anything about your culture or habits. You, on the other hand, are just an unpleasant personality. Its not like I forced you to summon me, you did that on your own.” He let out an exasperated growl before continuing. “And I don’t know what your problem is, but your shit attitude clearly isn’t just from me showing up so stop taking it out on me.”

His eyes darted around the room before landing on what looked like a door, he stormed towards it with the intention of leaving the room, but upon reaching it discovered that when he pushed it the door wouldn’t budge. He forced all his weight on it, but the object still refused to budge. He let out another angry growl and sent a kick into the bottom of the door as he turned back around, pounding the side of his fist against the wooden surface. “And if I could work your strange doors I would have stormed out of here in a dramatic and momentous fashion!” After yelling he let out a sigh that took a lot of the anger with it and he pressed his forehead against the door, the image of the man submitting so quickly to his blade still branded in his mind. When the people keeping El's power came for it the man would undoubtedly be useless.

"For the descendant that finally summoned me to be a coward of all things has to be the worst outcome." He kept his voice low, whispering only to himself, but the frustration was apparent, this man would not last against the possible enemies that would come after them, unless all people in this time were as spineless as Terrance was in the face of death.

Terrence took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose, letting out a long exhale. Okay, so maybe he was right about him taking out some of his aggression on this random stranger. It hadn't been that long since all of that stuff happened, plus there was a bunch of added stress with the fact that he barely managed to get himself to school everyday. Work was even worse, he couldn't continue using the excuse that his grandfather died for very long. Though, the fact that there was a literal god in his house didn't seem to help his stress levels, not when he knew that this wasn't going to end well at all. He had heard the stories before, he knew what these gods were capable of, and he really didn't want any part of it.

“And if I could work your strange doors I would have stormed out of here in a dramatic and momentous fashion!” The green haired man let out a heavy sigh and put his glasses back on. He remembered how earlier this man had called him stupid, yet he couldn't even figure out a door. He refrained from laughing or letting out a remark to anger the god any further. This needed to be handled differently. It needed to be handled in a better way than the way he had decided to start this off. Obviously, this god needed to go back to sleep again. That way everything could go back to normal, and whatever trouble he was going to bring with him wouldn't actually start.

"Okay, I admit that it was my fault for this whole thing. I've been a little stressed out lately and I took it out on you when I really shouldn't have. I'm sorry about that, it was rude, and very impolite." Terrence spoke up, walking over to his nightstand, gently setting the jewelry box back down on it. "But, as you can tell, summoning you here was an accident, and it'd be helpful if you would just go back into your dormant state. I don't want to be part of whatever comes with summoning up a god, especially when this wasn't my plan to begin with. If I had known saying your name with the box in my hands was all it took to summon you back, I probably wouldn't have done it."

It was actually quite surprising to him that he even remembered the god's name. It had been years that he'd actually cared to remember their names, but he did study the religion for a long while. Though, it was just the small stories that had been passed down through the generations. Barely anyone knew about these gods anymore, it wasn't like anyone bothered to write down their stories and make sure it'd be remembered for longer. If it was written, the books were extremely rare or just small excerpts in books about ancient religions. Nobody even knew that the elemental gods were a largely followed religion at one point.

The change in demeanor caught Eleutherius off guard. He hadn’t been much better when he had awoken, but Terrance hadn’t stopped with his standoffish personality from the moment Eleutherius had appeared. He turned slowly to face the human, leaning against the door and crossing his arms over his chest. The human did seem extremely uptight, but apparently even he was aware of his bad attitude. El sighed, dropping his head for a moment as he considered re-entering the dormancy he had just exited.

The fact that he could resume the dormancy immediately was not an impossibility, but he could not see a plausible reason for doing so. Why he would willing return to that sleep when he had already been released was he beyond himself, and El did not want to subject himself to another millennia of sleep. He reached up to run a hand through his hair, weighing the options that he had before looking back at Terrance.

“Look, it doesn’t really work that way. The dormancy is a process that, once triggered, takes about a year to complete. Containing this amount of power doesn’t happen in a night.”
Lying wasn’t the best path he could have taken, but it seemed the most viable. The man was just calming down, and the mention of a chance to send El back into his sleep would have set off an argument all over again. Even if Terrance hadn’t created a contract with him, they were still connected, even if it was only by the smallest of threads. But, he wouldn’t tell Terrance any of that, the last thing he needed was for a human he barely knew to have any sort of control over him.

“I don't want to be part of whatever comes with summoning up a god, especially when this wasn't my plan to begin with.” He definitely didn’t want to even mention contracting with this guy, he didn’t need his being tied to someone who didn’t know the first thing about the deities or have any interest in them. Terrance seemed to know the bare minimum about him and the deities, and El wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t know the names of the other three. El decided he would make the best of it though, being summoned by an uptight grump could be entertaining.

“Well, don’t be so closed-minded about it. I can’t go back, you summoned me, we are stuck together.” He grinned, moving away from the door to sling an arm over the other man’s shoulders. El was going to have to accept the fact that this man was the descendent of Yona, and somewhere inside of him there was even the slightest hint of her.“Besides, I’m better than your average house pet, you don’t have to feed or clean up after me. Plus, I make great company.”

He paused for a moment, considering the last of what Terrance had said. Surely summoning him did not consist of only saying his name and having Yona’s blood, that he was sure of, and the knowledge was actually concerning. He tried to keep his demeanor light though, so the man wouldn’t notice his concern. He laughed instead, “If you were able to summon me by just saying my name then it looks like we have to save the world.”
