i Smiled softly as i waited for the others to finish what they were doing to continue with Aubrey's idea of going and exploring. I Wanted to see how challenging this place was, mainly the cross country course. Sure, Savvy was fearless in the arena, jumping heights of 1.40m professionaly back in Ireland. He was unstoppable, no spooky fences would phase him. However, his boldness and sometimes arrogance meant he sometimes got lazy when it came to picking up his feet. Something we couldn't risk when we competed this year.

I Turned my attention to the little pony who's stable we were all standing infront of and he snorted a small greeting, his little ears pricking up as he looked to me. I Stroked a hand down his cheek and kissed his nose as he rose it up to my face. He was special to me, This pony. We'd had a long and difficalt road together but i'd not be telling anyone that just yet. A road that had formed our bond to be stronger.

This year i really wanted to focas on getting Savvy a little less de-sentisied to the scary things out of the arena. I Wanted to do some Cross country with him, some hacking that wouldnt result me being thrown off all the time. This place has everything.

Stroking a hand down the geldings face i thought about the years a head, It seemed strange that the people around me would stay with me for the rest of my time here. I guessed that meant i would have to try and make friends at least. Dragging my hand across his muscular body and down his legs, I smiled peacfully. The past year we had done quite well in endurance and had even had a chance to do a bit of jumping for a change. Sage was quite an excitable little guy but it meant he often failed to listen, It was probably one of the main problems we needed to work on...Listening to each other.

I'd had him a few years the little guy, We'd slowly progressed together but i held him back. I knew that, He was more talented then i was brave, Which ususally ended up on him missing out on events. This year was going to be different though, I was dfetermined to do more with him, Maybe even try a few small jumping competions along side my Endurance

After scattering the contents of the bag across the spotlessly clean stall, I wondered how long it would take for my messy six year old gelding to mess it up. Smiling to myself, I returned to the horsebox and grabbed a haynet from under a pile of extra tack and headed round to the yard and slipped into the feed, proceeding to messily stuff some sweet-smelling hay into the net before carrying it back to Stall 6 and hanging it up effortlessly. Stepping back, I put my hands on my hips and smiled, appreciating my work before heading back to the car park to collect Pip, hoping he would make the home I had just made.
