Welcome to Springward Academy For The Gifted; a small highschool created to house the supernatural children of Kasai City. Many from around the world enroll to enter such a prestigious school. Founded no more than ten years ago, the owner runs the school as the head master. For quite a long time, peace and unity roamed the school allowing the children who aren't exactly normal live happily with others among them while they took up their studies. They even learned to control the gifts that was passed down through their families. The city saw the academy as a wonderful investment and allowed more and more studies to join each and every semester until a total of eight thousand students were enrolled.

Image

However, in the previous semester, a number of students were brutally murdered in the school; some beyond recognition. The principal refused to answer any of the investigators questions; as if he was afraid or not obligated to. With no clues or follow ups, investigators were at a stalemate. Their only puzzle piece was the crimson red moon that appeared in the sky the night before someone was killed. Later on in the semester, officers noticed slight tagging among the bodes. They varied from "7", "777", "Lucky 7's" and "Rule Of 7". Officers believe the tagging is a link to a sort of supernatural gang among the students.

Image

With little to know evidence and no student or teacher brave enough to speak up about it, officers were left with one option. Three officers brought their children to the academy with one mission only. Live among the students and find any clues you can. Stop this gang and protect the students that are here. Use your own powers if needed. Will they be successful in stopping the Rule Of 7, or will they just be another blood pool to fill the gym floors.

What a waste of time. Another ridiculous class that was filled with some old man in a suit talking about stuff he didn't honestly care about. At this point he didn't even care about it anymore. He just wanted to skate and forget about it. He wanted to forget about everything. Existing, others existing; stuff like that. His life felt like a joke that everyone was laughing at. He wanted to wipe the smirks and laughs off of all their faces.

He headed outside to the courtyard deciding to skip his next class. They wont miss him. They wont notice. He began to skateboard across the field doing tricks every so often. A sudden feeling of anger came over him for some reason. That happened pretty often. Usually when he felt someone was the next victim. He sat down and thought to himself giving a slight smirk. He took out his phone knowing that it was time.

"Yo. Meeting right now. Meet me in the courtyard. Don't care if your in class."

It was time to assemble the Rule of 7. Time to finally move his plan a step forward. After pressing the send button and relaxing once. He couldn't remember the last time he had a good sleep. Sleep was something he gave up on a long time ago. Every dream was just filled with dark shadows and ridiculous whispering. It bugged him.

[TXT - Kitty: Yo. Meeting right now. Meet me in the courtyard. Don't care if your in class]

Her body ached from disuse, the area above the fresh wound covered in plastic to prevent any... added discomfort. She hadn't attended classes since yesterday, let alone text anyone in Rule of 7... or see them, for that matter. Being bed ridden and trying to deal with your own wounds were just part of the fun. Her iPad buzzed from it's spot on the shower shelf, the word 'Kitty' popping up on the screen. A small smile played on her lips before dissolving. Ah, it was addressed to everyone...

Turning off the shower, Meg drew her attention to typing some sort of message back, just to Gato. No one else needed to worry, right?

[TXT to Kitty] [I'm in the shower. I'll be out eventually. I need to deal with something before meeting up.
]

If he had an issue with it, deal. It's not everyday your number one rival ends up getting to stab you. Meg sighed as she peeled off the plastic, wincing as she took an alcohol wipe to it briefly, before gazing it. She had emailed her teachers that morning to gather a few days of make up work, just because there was no way in hell she'd be going out to class in pain.

She threw on a quick outfit, heavy black stockings included, and then putting on her slippers, Everly was out the door and heading to the courtyard with her iPad.

[TXT to Rule of Dork] [Ayeee dorks, last one theres rotten blood! (haha, im taking off for awhile so im not even gonna complain this time, feeling lucky yet? no? well, tough! im a fluffy teddy bear/penguin. FEAR ME)]

Aha, successful diversion accomplished... Right?

"Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see this, our town of Halloween. La la-la la, Halloween! Halloween! In this town of Halloween~" Putting down the needle and thread, Lucas admired the new pattern he had just created on his hand. Nodding to himself, he felt his iphone buzz. Unlocking it, he saw that it was a txt from Gato, he wanted to meet with everyone.

Smiling happily Lucas stood up in the middle of class and exited. Neither the Teacher or the students said a thing in fear of what would happen. Skipping merrily through the halls of the school, Lucas sang happily to himself. Suddenly, Lucas stopped in his tracks.

Looking at the clock he saw that it was time for class. But wasn't he just in class? "Wait~...What was I going to do again?" Lucas looked honestly confused. Why did he leave class? He knew it was something important, but what.

"Mr. Anglade!" Lucas turned around to face a Teacher. Lucas tilted his head as he tried to figure out who he was, but Lucas never had a good memory to begin with, so why try? Lucas stared into the man's eyes and could see that the Teacher was trying to avoid his.

He's scared? Lucas gave an innocent smile at the thought. The Teacher most of noticed as he took a step back from the boy. Coughing a little he looked at Lucas, "Mr. Anglade why aren't you in class?" Lucas paused and thought for a minute.

Why wasn't he again? Lets think. Lucas remembered he was about to fall asleep in his advanced Math class, as usual. When he heard his phone buzz, and than... Snapping his fingers his eyes widened once he found his answer, "Because I gotta go to the courtyard~! Thank you for reminding me Mister! Lucas did't even allow the Teacher to speak as he continued toward the courtyard. The Teacher just stood there in shock.

Making his way down a flight of stairs, Lucas had exited the building and made it to the courtyard. A bright smile spread across his face as he felt he had made a great accomplishment, "Gato! Lovely Gato! Guess what?! I got here without getting lost this time!" He said this like a small child, wishing to be praised.

But Lucas realized that no one was here yet, or he couldn't find them. Running around the yard Lucas searched for his teammates, "Where are you guys? Lovely~ Rosy~ Yoru~ Meggie~ Gen~ Mue~ You guys! Hmmmm~ Where are they?" Lucas was getting bored but he knew if he left, Gato would get very mad at him, and he didn't want that. So he decided to seat himself up on a high tree branch.

Settling down Lucas laid back on the tree and stared kicking his legs back and forth, "I will wait here for them~" Humming loudly to himself, Lucas watched below so when he caught sight of someone he could quickly meet them.

Class was half way done but Genki wasn't paying much attention. He was quietly sitting in the back with his nose in a new book he brought at the book store recently. He had been dying to read this book because it was the latest release from his favorite author. It was a horror book, that was really all he read were mystery horror novels and he loved them. The teacher in the front was talking his lips off explaining the lesson and Genki caught bits and pieces of it but nothing that may have help him on his homework tonight. Suddenly his pocket vibrated and his eye twitched out of annoyance.

Reaching into his pocket, Genki pulled out his cell phone and looked at it. After reading the text message from Gato, Genki sighed and swiftly stood up closing his book which made a rather loud noise. Genki didn't look up at the teacher who had shock written all over his face and most of his classmates. Letting out a sigh he tucked his book into his desk and just walked out without the teacher saying anything at all. Making his way down the hall Genki shoved his hands into his pockets, his whole demeanor changing. He hit the steps and calmly climbed down them his hair turning from it's regular inky black to a snowy white.

He cracked his neck and passed a teacher who just stared at him with an odd expression on his face. The teacher looked as if he wanted to say something but when he turned around, Gen was gone, nowhere to been seen. Entering the courtyard Gen made his way over to the benches, he sat down and leaned his head all the way back so he was looking up at Lucas, his eyes voided from any emotion, just staring. "Yo." was the only word that escaped his lips.

Yoru was in, quite possibly, the most cringe worthy classes in all of Springward Academy; at least, in his mind. Filled with loud teens and a teacher who couldn't care less whether or not anyone passed the course. Even then, he still did his best to make it seem as though he enjoyed the class, as though he actually cared about what anyone around him was saying. Of course, that is exactly what they all believed. Soon enough, Yoru felt the familiar drowsiness that came with overuse of his abilities.

He asked the teacher if he could leave for the nurse's office, claiming to be feeling ill. And, being the "good" student that he was, the teacher believed him. He briskly walked out of the class and towards the nurse's office. He admitted himself into one of the open beds and shut his eyes. All he wanted was an hour of sleep. Heck, even half an hour would have been nice. Alas, he was soon awoken by the sound of his phone vibrating on the table beside him.

Yo. Meeting right now. Meet me in the courtyard. Don't care if your in class

It was a text from Gato, probably letting all the people in the Rule of 7 know about the sudden meeting. Yoru sighed with annoyance. Technically, he never agreed to join the group, though he never disagreed either. It was rare for Gato to call eveyone to one location, and even then Yoru would usually not attend. But something told him that this time was something important and Gato wouldn't forgive him if he missed out on it. Resting would have to wait. He dragged himself out of the bed, staring at it ever so longingly, and immediately went to the window. As he looked through the window, his phone vibrated once more.

Ayeee dorks, last one theres rotten blood! (haha, im taking off for awhile so im not even gonna complain this time, feeling lucky yet? no? well, tough! im a fluffy teddy bear/penguin. FEAR ME)

This time it was from Gato's second hand, what's-her-face. He didn't remember her name, he didn't have her in his contacts list either. The reason he knew it was her was because of the style the text was written. Only one person who has his number would text him in such a manner. "Wait. How the heck does she even...? I swear Gato is the only one with my number." Yoru said as he rubbed his temples. Why he even bothered to give his number to that strange guy was beyond him. He turned his eyes to the window once more and noticed two of the seven already gathered in the courtyard. There was one in the tree and one below the first. It would appear people were already gathering up.

Yoru teleported just to the outside of the glass window and proceeded to flash-step just to the edge of the courtyard. From there he walked up to the other two, but did not greet them. He never really was a people person, even around what could be called "friends". The only time you could see him being overly social would be when he's trying to deceive someone. But he didn't really have to put on an act around the Rule, did he? Besides, it was tiring and he didn't get to sleep. In the end, he sat on a bench underneath the tree and pulled out a portable game. It was definitely more entertaining than talking to people, at the very least.

Before I Fall; Latch Key Kid

Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #5c609f | | Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #607B8B

❝ Apathy is a sort of living oblivion.❞
-Horace Greeley

    ____Hitomi awoke to the sound of the rather unpleasant chirps of birds, and try as she might she could not ignore them. ’As if I needed another reason not to get up today.’ But despite her unwillingness to awake alongside the fair sun she had to, and thus with a grumble she made her way downstairs. She greeted her father as always, but the tone in her voice held a sort of malice in it. Hitomi put her violin case stacked on top of her luggage by the front door alongside her shoes, and then went to the kitchen.

    ”Please make sure to feed the dog. It’s used to being fed twice a day, and breaking its eating habits may cause resentment.” and once more she spoke in a manner one would never expect a girl her age to talk. With a sigh she finished eating the cereal her father had poured for her and then put it in the dishwasher. ”Duly noted,” her father took a sip of his too hot coffee, ”Don’t forget to report your findings Hitomi.”

    ”I won’t Father.” she yelled as she made her way to the front door, trying to quickly put her shoes on. ”Good. I love you, please be safe." but as the words formed at his lips she grabbed her suitcase was out the door trying to pretend she didn't hear what her father had said. In truth while she didn’t mind her father signing her up for the investigation, she would rather him not have. It wasn’t that she was heartless, although many would like to beg to differ, she just didn’t care.

    ”Love. If he loved me he wouldn’t have forgotten about me for eight years.” dismissing that train of thought though she slowly walked toward the location of her new school, Springward Academy, for the exceptionally gifted. Hitomi wanted to laugh at that but held it in knowing she would look odd doing so.

    The walk from her house to the school was nothing short of treacherous, but she made it, an hour late but there nonetheless. And Hitomi was sure the school would make an exception for a new arrival right? She tried to convince herself of that but knew that the other investigators Agent Toshiro and Agent Miyazawa probably were on time. Although, she wasn’t too sure for she barely knew them or their penchant for tardiness.

    The gate for the school was elaborate as she expected it to be, but what truly fascinated her was the tree lined dirt path way to the school. Why did they need that? Oh right, for the richer more elite students.

    As she walked to the entrance Hitomi noticed a lack of maps, and for that reason she was completely and utterly lost. With yet another sigh she walked out the double doors of the school and tried to possibly find someone who could direct her to where she needed to be.
    Minutes of aimless walking she finally stumbled upon the back of the school where a few students seem to litter the area. A boy with snow white hair was looking up into a tree where very faintly she saw the outline of yet another person. ”That’s very unsafe, he could fall. she wanted to say but kept the thought to herself. After all she wasn’t their mother.
    Next to the boy on the ground though was a male with yellow hair seemingly playing on a portable device. Hitomi didn’t want to bother any of them, but the kid with the snowy hair looked the most approachable.

    With a tap to his shoulder she asked the million dollar question, “I’m sorry for disturbing you, but could you please direct me to the main office?”

“I’m sorry for disturbing you, but could you please direct me to the main office?” with that feminine voice came a light tap on his shoulder. Lifting his head up slowly from the odd position it was in, Gen tilted his head slightly as a child would do when confused his emotionless eyes still the same. His eyes studied the beauty in front of him before he ran his black nailed hands through his hair.

"Alright." he simply said before leaning his head back in that odd position as before to looked back up at Lucas. " I'll be back." and with that Genki was on his feet, god did her hate shoes he was a more barefooted person. Lightly kicking the tip of his shoes on the ground he began to walk from where he came from with hands shoved into his pocket. Genki assumed the girl was following him as he made his way inside and began to climbed the steps.

A new kid hm? She's pretty, I'd give her until lunch time before she's the talk of the school. A faint smirk appeared on his lips as he thought of this and decided to share by leaning his head back again in that odd position viewing the girl behind him upside down.
" Hey, you new here right?" he paused for a second pondering on his words but then decided against saying the rest and just settled for that not wanting to come off as rude.

The Beast is Red

The test wasn't as hard as everyone was making it seem to be. In all honesty, Rosalind didn't have to study all night for it. But what she wasn't prepared for were the essays that went with it. The Beast was keeping her all up with his new plans to take over the world and then giving her nightmares. The pink haired girl didn't have enough sleep to power through the essay. Just fail Rosalind ignored The Beast. Failing wasn't an option. It was a never an option. How would she graduate if she failed. You aren't meant to graduate. Don't you know that. The beast was not helping her right now. Second paragraph done. Just three more to go.

A tiny vibration in her pocket distracted her from writing. When the teacher wasn't looking she checked the messages. The only reason her phone was even on during school was because of the Rule of 7. She always had to be available. No matter what. Even during the test. Gato was summoning her. Meg sent a message soon afterwards. A sigh escaped her and she could feel the beast grin from within her. He knew what was happening. Standing up, Rosalind started to pack up her things. "Miss Carter. Where do you think are going?" he asked as she picked up her bag. "Courtyard." Once she said that, Rosalind left the classroom and headed to the courtyard.

Look at the bright side. No test. Rosalind smiled at the thought and then giggled. The Beast always knew how to make her feel better. It wasn't long before she was outside on the courtyard. She wasn't the last one. At least she didn't think so. Looking around at her friends she smiled widely at them. "Hi!" she said rather excited, the biggest grin plastered on her face. Rosalind rocked on her heels a little.

"You're nervous," Daichi said over breakfast. "I understand why. But you don't have to be."

"Why would I be?" Toshiro said. "I'm only going into a school that's run by some kind of teen-age anti-social group*."

"They're not one of those anti-social groups."

"You know what I mean." They'd had this argument before. "They're just like one. I mean, they kill people, if the NPA is right."

"They appear similar, but they are not part of the larger syndicates. They probably don't operate like one of the larger groups."

The boy sighed, letting the chopsticks rest on the bowl's edge. "I get it. And I am nervous. This is...it's a big deal, isn't it?"

Daichi nodded. "But you'll be fine. Just keep your head down and your eyes up."

Head down, eyes up. That was Daichi's favorite aphorism, and a good description of the method he taught. Head down meant not drawing attention to yourself. A very Japanese thing anyway, but this took it a step further. It really meant hiding any hint of your real intents, putting up a smokescreen. Eyes up meant that despite this, you had to watch for any clue, be alert at any time, still watching.

Head down, eyes up. Easy, in theory anyway.

When they had finished breakfast, as Toshiro left to put the dishes away, Daichi said, "One last thing."

Toshiro stopped, turned back to face his father. "What is it?"

"Don't take your jō today."

"Why not?"

"Head down. Make sure there's a club at the Academy for it before you start taking it."

"There probably is."

"Probably, yes, but if you take it and there isn't, it'll draw attention. People will wonder why you're carrying it around."

Toshiro didn't feel comfortable going into the Academy without it, but if his father said it had to be that way...it would probably have to be that way. "Alright. I should get going."

Daichi smiled. "You'll do fine, Toshi. Be seeing you."

~~~
Toshiro took his bike, figuring that hoverskating there would attract attention, especially among the normals that probably lived near the Academy. Though they would be used to it, no? Regardless, bike.
He reached the gate only a bit before classes were due to start, dismounted, and walked his bike up up the tree-lined path. It's all so...pristine, he thought to himself. So beautiful.
Thinking of this school as a dangerous place seemed so unfair, when there was such beauty in its appearance.
He locked his bike to a railing outside, changed shoes inside, and found his way to the office after a bit of searching, but didn't see Inoue anywhere. Peculiar.
He settled into the first class, mathematics, and resigned himself to going through the motions, at least for a bit. He would have to find his "friends," though, and keep a lookout for this "Rule of Seven."
Head down, eyes up.
Before I Fall; Latch Key Kid
❝ There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.❞
- Jim Morrison
    ____Hitomi watched as the boy said his good-bye to his friends and then walked into the school expecting her to follow. She did of course but took the time she was behind him to observe. He didn’t look much older than sixteen, but eighteen seemed to be pushing it. With his snow white hair she wondered if it was a disease or something from his family gene pool. It wasn’t that she didn’t like it, hell her hair was silver, but to see something so white startled her. It was almost unnatural.
    A voice brought her out of her musings asking a question, “Hey, you’re new here right?" She nodded in response and silently tsked because the way he was walking without a care unnerved her.
    ”Please watch where you’re going,” and as she said they almost reached the end of a hallway where if she hadn’t pulled him by his sleeve he would have smashed right into the off-white wall. ”Things like walking into a wall could happen.” and with that she let him go; and for a second only the rolling of her rather large suitcase wheels and the gentle thumps of her violin on top of her luggage disrupted the silence.’Kids these days are so careless,’ she thought and as she was about to ask him if they were at the front office yet a sign stating they were appeared.
    ”Thank you Mr…” Hitomi trailed her sentence off in hopes he would fill in the blank for her. ”I’ll be on my way now, for I don’t want to inconvenience you further. If not for you I would have been left wandering the halls for hours.” Silence. ”And I do hope we have some classes together, it would be nice to see a familiar face in such an unknown area.”
    With that she bid him adieu and walked into the office, ringing the bell for the office lady to service her. The whole process took less than five minutes where she got her dorm room key, student handbook, and class room schedule.
    And so without knowing what to do next Hitomi left the administrative center and began to wander once more, perhaps trying to find where the dorms were located but letting her sense of wonder lead her to God knows where.
    But it was in a moment of speculation that she remembered she had forgotten to give her peer her own name, ’Oh well, we’ll meet again. I’m sure of it.’
Upon seeing her nod in response, Genki's faint smirk stood firmly on his lips, even when he was pulled back suddenly by the new girl. It didn't bother him much though, his face was still the same but his head was up right, how it was suppose to be. He paused for a second staring at the wall and tilted his head once more with a small frown upon his lips. " Hm, would you look at that. There's a wall there." with those simple words he began walking once more after the girl had released him.
”Please watch where you’re going,” he peered back over his shoulder to give the girl his attention and acknowledgement that he was indeed listening to her. ”Things like walking into a wall could happen.” he shrugged and for a split second you could have sworn he smiled. " I suppose so."
Rubbing his head, ruffling his white hair Genki stopped right in front of the office with out a word. ”Thank you Mr…”
Genki looked as if he was lost in thought for a split second before he looked at the girl responded with "Gen."
Of course Genki wasn't going to give her his full name especially if they did have class together. What would happen if he did give her his full name and they had the same class? What would she think if he showed up in his regular form, inky black hair and more of a lankly looking body? It'll be a bit suspicious.
After she thanked him he just simply nodded and turned on his heel lazily raising his hand in a wave before starting back down the hall. "It'll be a pleasure." he whispered loud enough for her to hear and with that he was gone.
Back outside Genki had his hands behind his head in a relaxing manner, he saw that Rosalind had now joined the little gathering and sat back on the bench. For a second it looked as if he was going to fall asleep in that position but instead he opened his eyes suddenly and took his shoes off chucking them somewhere. He didn't really care where they landed all he knew was that they were bothering the hell out of him. Now barefooted he sighed in relief and sat back down with eyes closed.
It wasn't long when Lucas was welcomed by a fellow member, Gen. An innocent smirk swept across Lucas' face as he peered down at Gen who was also looking up at him. "Gen~ I have missed you." Lucas would have added another line to his sentence, but he stopped himself when he spotted his friends hair. Lucas has always loved black hair and Gen's was one of his favorites. But now it had transformed into a white coloring, which made Lucas quite disappointed. Still, he quickly got over it as he knew it would turn back eventually.
It wasn't long until Yoru joined in their little quiet time, which made Lucas burst into a small fit of laughter. Lucas slowly went silent when he spotted a female with long sliver hair approaching Gen. He watched as she started speaking to him. Lucas was to far up to hear clearly, so he decided to ask once he was finished talking. But before Lucas would ask anything, Gen had already called out to him, "I'll be back." Lucas waved, watching Gen disappear.
Now Lucas was bored, he knew Yoru enjoyed silence so even if he tried he wouldn't get much out of him, so who could he bother until Gen came back. It wasn't long when his question had been answered. "Hi" Lucas flashed Rose a sweet smile, "Hi Rosy~" Rosy was another person from the Seven.
The silence had returned and once again he was bored. So to appease his boredom, Lucas began to draw. Almost a few moments later, Lucas had somehow dozed off while drawing. And he would have stayed asleep if it wasn't for hearing a pair of faint footsteps. Quickly awakening, Lucas looked down to see that Gen had returned. Happily Lucas jumped off the tree and landed softly on the edge of the bench beside of Gen. He looked at Gen with a accomplished grin," Wasn't I amazing Gen~" He didn't wait for an answer as he seated himself next to the white haired fellow. Leaning his head back he started swinging his legs back and forth as he stared up at the sky.
There was a minute of silence, "Hey. Hey, Gen. Who was that girl with you? She was really pretty, was she new? I haven't seen her before...She seemed...sharp~" Though his words had a very eerie sound to them, Lucas' smile betraying his speech. But it seemed as if Lucas didn't notice his contradiction and went on to resuming his coloring, "Look Gen. Do you like the colors? Aren't they pretty~"
”Ah yes, yet another day of wistful plotting and unearthing human emotions!”[i] Was the first thing Mue thought after ecstatically skimming over the text message in the blink of an eye. Albeit he was openly displaying his phone in the middle of calculus, his teacher had gotten to the point where he no longer ridiculed the lost cause of a boy. The fact that he pulled his own weight- and the highest grades in the class, gave him enough leeway to abstain from listening. A few students stared at the boy as he energetically pecked away at the phone keys, not even having the common courtesy to mute the sound eminated with every press of the button. Before the teacher could muster up the courage to scold the careless boy, the bell rang throughout the school, notifying students that it was time for their next class.
Most students would be nailed down to a crossroads at this point. A debate between attending his next class or playing what he perceived as hookey. A strife between moral right and wrong. Well, just so happens that Mue had a free the proceeding. Yet again the benevolent mistress known as ‘Fate’ paved a path for the student to live his days swimming in leisure. By no means was he lethargic, as he was constantly guided by a feeling of proactivity and the constant thirst for knowledge. He stood up from his seat and quickly checked the contents of his messenger bag. His main point of verifying was to confirm if his notebook was present, which it was. Being in a school of students with abnormal abilities, Mue’s was generally ordinary. Well, it was well hidden and didn’t directly affect himself or others. Unlike a few of his comrades who had that little extra power in their step, or maybe the ability to change their appearance, he could only sense how others felt through the medium of his project flame. Following the beckoning of his leader, he finalized his response;
[i]”Yo! En route, sorry I might be a minute or two behind the others! Better have some coffee there.”
He arrived at the courtyard with his hands stuffed into his pockets, a slightly slouched figure and a smile stretched widely across his face. It was his usual laid-back personality, that minescule molecule of purity caked in hardened blood. Albeit Mue wasn’t the one doing the murdering, he had the tendency to play around with his comrades’ prey. He’s the most innocent out of all of them, yet at the same time he was the weakest. The student happily paced his way over to the congregating group, most of which were present. He glanced around at the surrounding hallways, then faced Gato in particular, ”A little conspicuous meeting out in the open, isn’t it LL? What if some haunty rule enforcers waltz by and see us huddling around. But I’m sure nobody would want to approach high tier students such as us. I’ve got a student council meeting later today, got any requests?” He leaned back and waved at the rest of the present rule, flashing his iconic easygoing grin. I’m sure all of us here have had a pretty swell day so far. I’m sure LL will brighten it even more.” As Gen arrived, Lucas instantly delved into interrogating him for the name of his female company. Mue would be lying if he wasn't slightly intrigued as well, as it was a little uncharacteristic for his white-haired friend to be so... tactful. Or lucky. Either could be used in the guy's case. The boy continued to glance around, waiting for Lovelace to jump into conversation.
Gato groaned slightly as his 'friends' began to gather. Sometimes he just wished they could be professional. They were a wanted criminal group with the over all mind state of a young teenager. Gato being the oldest naturally bugged them about it. No amount of yelling would fix them though and he didn't have the patience to keep trying. It was too much work and too much of a struggle.
"Look I don't have time for this. If ya ain't here, then ya ain't here."
He said hoping to break any currently unrelated conversations. They were giving him a headache for goodness sake.
"Alright look. Were going to have to step up out outcome, alright? We need more bodies dead. More blood spilled. More tags written."
He stood and folded his arms pacing back and forth in a straight line. He didn't want to be a dick boss but for goodness sake. How was he going to take over if he barely had anything.
"The killings have been low ladies and gentlemen. Tonight's going to be another red moon which means we strike, got it?" He cleared his throat. "I expect at least 4 bodies from all of you. Me on the other had, I'll be 'missing' some days of school."
Often, to keep suspicion off of his 'friends', Gato would take off for a few days and kill during the day. He also had a certain about of power he could contain before losing control, so he needed a creative way to get it out. He sighed and leaned against the tree.
"Damn..... It almost feels too easy now.... I wonder if the officers are giving up or if they are planning something stupid... Regardless, you all know how to kill and leave no evidence so i expect nothing but the best."
Yoru was not as distracted by his game as it had seemed to the rest. Well, he was playing with the focus of someone who was on his way to complete goals and achievements, but he made sure he was devoting at least 40% of his attention to what was going on around him. After all, this group of people, albeit unruly, were definitely not the kinds of people you wanted to let your guard down around. Soon after Yoru had arrived at the meet up location, there was this random female who had asked Genki for directions. She was... interesting to say the least. He never saw her around before, so she was probably a new face. Some transfer student or something. Needless to say, Genki had walked off with the girl in tow, presumably taking her to the main office.
Soon after he had left, pinky had arrived on scene. Rosalind. She had entered with a cheery salutation, but was not greeted so happily in response. Well, she recieved a reply from the tree-dwelling male, Lucas, but that conversation ended right there. After that, Genki had returned and soon Muekiya joined in. Somewhere in between all of the nonsense, Gato himself arrived. Or perhaps he was already there, but was somehow hidden? Yoru wasn't entirely sure, but he could tell from the irritated groan that he was not pleased with the groups actions. Well, who would be? In the end, we're all just a bunch of misfits and degenerates who decided to follow him. That being said, he's the one who chose us. Ultimately it's his own fault for choosing such a disorganized group of people. Yoru thought to himself.
Once Gato had begun to speak, Yoru quickly shoved his game into the pocket of his pants. To quote something from the game he was just playing, 'There's a time and place for everything, but not now.' Yet, despite Gato's ever so... inspiring speech about the lack of murder and lack of tagging, Yoru couldn't help but let a yawn escape. He wasn't able to sleep, after all. But there was one contradiction in Gato's little spiel that Yoru couldn't help but point out. "Erhm. Yo, Gasteau." Yoru called out, referring to Gato. It wasn't that he mispronounced the other's name or didn't remember it or whatever, he just couldn't care less about trivial details like that. "You say not to leave any evidence, which is all fine and dandy, but then you also want us to leave some tags? Don't get me wrong, but that's evidence too y'know?" Yoru continued blankly, yawning in between some words.
Yoru stretched his arms upward a little before standing up on his feet. He stared blankly at Gato and held out his hands in a shrugging motion. "I can't speak for everyone when I say this, but I'm still trying to live a semi-normal life here. Unlike some of us, most of the school isn't aware that I'm a part of the Rule and I'd like to keep it that way, y'know?" Yoru shook his head, continuing, "I mean, I'm fine with killing and all. It's not like I've got anything better to do, but four? That's a tall order there, boss. We've been in the clear so far, upping the ante now could have some consequences."
*The Beast is Red
Her greeting with the group was cut rather short. When they were meeting, normal conversations never really happened. Even when Lucus tries to make it happen. She really liked him though. They still talk to each other when they weren't with the group. But Rosalind has a like a second group of friends that she hangs out with when she isn't in the Rule of Seven. They are all normal and don't suspect anything from her. They don't know or understand the full extent of her powers. They have never seen her completely as the the demon that is harboring inside of her. They remind her to stay human. Rule of Seven wasn't like that. When she is sent to kill people, she starts to lose her sanity. Rosalind hasn't complained because she doesn't complain. She never complains. She just does as she's told. It's not that she doesn't like killing people, the demon just enjoys it a thousand times more and it will kill her.
"I expect at least 4 bodies from all of you. Me on the other had, I'll be 'missing' some days of school." The demon inside her grinned and her body started to ache. He wanted to take over her body and get started on his mission right away, but she was fighting for the control. No one would have been able to tell that she was in pain, for the smile was still on her face. Finally. I think we should kill off all your friends. The beast inside her chuckled. Killing them would bring way more attention to her than necessary. She needed to keep them around. It was the only way to make sure that she wasn't caught.
Her focus was back on Gato. The mission as always was kill and leave no trace, but the tags. The tags changed depending on the killer. Rosalind like leaving a seven right behind the persons ear. The best liked to car the word 'seven' on the victims lips. But lately she hasn't been able to tag people the way she likes. Rosalind was losing control of her abilities and he was taking over more often than he should. She doesn't even know if she can kill four people this time. Then Yoru spoke out against their leader. Rosalind could never do that but he had a clear point. Being normal was Rosalind's highest priority. But it's not like she could do anything about it now. She agreed to kill people and that is what she is going to do. "Four people won't be a problem." The smiled still on her face. "And I don't mean to sound like I'm ditching, but I'm starting lose some control. May I be dismissed?' Her body was aching and red was pooling into her pink iris's. The beast inside of her was trying to come through and she was losing the battle. Four people won't be enough Rosalind. And you know that. By the end of the day she could have killed up to half of the school, but she won't know until she has shed blood.
❝ There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.❞
- Jim Morrison
    ____From the moment Hitomi had left Gen she found herself lost once more. 'I should have asked for a map when I was on the office.' and with that thought in mind she wandered around the large campus once more. It was then that she truly took in the school's atmosphere before her.
    It was everything all schools dreamt it could be. With hedge fences so tall it measured twice her height, and flora that created an atmosphere like that of a dream it was hard to see how such a beautiful place could hold people so ugly. She couldn't imagine the grass to be pained in crimson or the buildings filled with the musky scent of death. It was all too surreal and if it hadn't been for the saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover.' she most definitely would have.
    When brought out of her musings Hitomi realized she had somehow walked her way over to the dorm area where buildings five stories high stood above everything else. Looking at her schedule she found her building number and proceeded toward it, trying not to mind the way the dorms were inconveniently located somewhere woodsy. ’Building number 3, Room number 406.’
    As she took the elevator up to her room she couldn’t help but notice how lifeless the building seemed to be. Of course there weren’t any students present but the gray walls and off-white tile flooring spoke what the scholars could never say.
    The elevator beeped and Hitomi walked out and to her room. When inside she was welcomed to the sight of a bed too high up and white brick painted walls. It was so impersonal but she didn’t mind. In fact it made everything that much easier.
    Silence.
    She didn’t unpack her clothing nor did she fix the slightly crooked bed spread, no she walked out of her room and took her violin case with her. Something unsettled her and she felt the need to get out of the dorm area immediately. ’It might just be my imagination, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.’
    And so with a deep sigh and a few hundred feet away from the apartment area Hitomi looked at her schedule and went to her next class, language arts.
    - x -
    As she approached the school building the bell signaling to proceed to the next class resonated though the air to which she complied whole heartedly. But as she walked past a class which she had to assume was the sophomore year, for it was on the second floor, she caught sight of a slightly familiar brown mop of hair.
    Deciding to take the chance of it possibly not being her co-worker she walked into the class room and tried to be discreet. ”Excuse me, but do you know what Carnations symbolize?” She asked quietly trying to see if the boy really was Toshiro Matsumoto.
    Before their investigation had begun they had come up with a variety of questions to ask each other to make sure they were still who they said they were. They were ordinary questions, but the trick to answering them correctly was to say the opposite of what would have been the real answer. Anyone could know what the flowers meant, but not everyone knew how to respond.
Dialogue and thoughts are in #0048FF
Toshiro sat through his mathematics class with a sense of resignation, realizing that he knew about as much at the end as he did at the beginning, which seemed to defeat the point of going to the class. Not that he was surprised. Mathematics had never been his strong suit. There wasn't room for intuition, at least not as far as he saw, in the subject. It was right or it was wrong, and the only way to find out was to do the problem as the teacher prescribed. Unorthodox thinking wasn't allowed.
As the rest of the class filtered out for a break, Toshiro stayed in the room, but took a short walk around to stretch his legs out. He glanced to see if anyone was looking. Nobody was. He could use Hover, just to dust it off a bit. He couldn't use it much around the house, and hoverskating to school was out of the question for now, but here, where everyone had some...difference, would it be so strange?
"Excuse me, but do you know what carnations symbolize?"
The voice was quiet, probably audible to him alone. What a peculiar question, he thought. Everyone knows what those symbolize. Beauty, pride.
He turned to answer, then hesitated, noticing who it was, and he remembered. Opposites.
"They symbolize disgrace and ugliness," he murmured in reply. "Everyone knows that."
The words felt so absurd to him that he couldn't help a small smile at it as he turned to face Inoue. "I haven't seen anything too unusual yet. You?"
Gato groaned as he rubbed his temples. "Look the tag thing is needed. You have to leave them. And you've been doing fine with the no evidence so far. So shut up and keep it up." He said before slowly turning his back towards them. "Don't you think it's a bit too late to be speaking of normalities? Look don't get me wrong, I'd love to continue my pointless life of getting no where with nothing as much as the next guy but we have bigger things to deal with." He then smirked before turning back and looking at Yoru. "However, your more than welcome to go on and live your normal life Yoru. Leave us if you want. But I hope you know that as soon as you say the word that your out, your no longer safe. And you know just as I know that you don't want to get on my bad side. Up to you buddy."
Gato always had a feeling that one day he would have to turn on a friend or two due to their betrayal. He wasn't sure which one or how many or when it would happen but if that situation would come, he would show no mercy just as he does to everyone else. He hoped he wouldn't have to though. After all, they were all his friends.
He dropped his skateboard and placed his foot on it. "I'm gonna get to work. If any teachers asks where I am, say I'm sick or something. You know the drill. The crimson moon will rise tonight. I expect you all to do as your instructed." He said before skating away. "Later!" He yelled out to them as if they just finished a casual situation. He then turned forward catching a glare. "Meg where the hell are you? Dammit.... Fine. I'll just go to your place and tell you the plan." He had given that girl far too many liberties. He knew that out of everyone she placed the least amount of tags. He didn't appreciate that one bit.
"However, your more than welcome to go on and live your normal life Yoru. Leave us if you want. But I hope you know that as soon as you say the word that your out, your no longer safe. And you know just as I know that you don't want to get on my bad side. Up to you buddy."
Of course Yoru was more than aware of the consequences one would face upon desertion. That never had to be explained, it was just something that was noted, but never spoken about. Yoru took in a deep breath before letting out a long, exasperated sigh. Lazily, he adjusted the beanie on his head. "Though I admit that there are times when I feel like ditching is an option..." He muttered to himself, quickly glancing around to ensure that no one was able to hear it.
He once again took out his game and looked at its screen. In his absence from the game not much had actually happened. In this kind of game, nothing would happen unless the player inputted actions. If only life were as simple as the game. There would be predictable algorithms and movement patterns for each and every sentient being. There would be minimal options on where you could move, but ultimately have a linear plot where you would eventually trump over everyone else. To put it to comparison, real life was simply like an unpredictable game with one life.
Shoving the game back into his pocket, Yoru turned towards the other members of the Rule around him. "So..." He started. He was never sure about how to talk to the others, despite being together for a decent amount of time. "What's everyone's plan of approach for this? Anything fancy or interesting going through your twisted and obscure minds?"
" Wasn't I amazing Gen~"
Genki looked up at the blonde boy with a small soft smile that spread across his lips. "Awesome." he simply stated before patting the boys head. "Hey. Hey, Gen. Who was that girl with you? She was really pretty, was she new? I haven't seen her before...She seemed...sharp~"
Slightly laughing at the boy's assessment, Gen nodded and opened an eye too look at him. " She was rather sharp wasn't she? . . . . She is new, though I didn't catch a name. It's kind of odd for some one to be transferring here in the middle of the semester isn't it?"
"Look Gen. Do you like the colors? Aren't they pretty~" the boy said and Genki simply looked down at the coloring. "Hm, it is good, could use a bit more red though." he stated with that same small smile upon his lips. "Or maybe a bit more pink? Either would do."
Upon hearing Gato speak, Genki only closed his eyes again and leaned his head back once more in a more relaxed position. He listened carefully and kept quiet, it's not that he couldn't speak out of terms if he wanted too, Gen just didn't feel like it. Once the conversation ended and so did the little dispute between Yoru and Gato the white haired boy stood up opening his eyes and running his fingers through his hair. "Sometimes that little brat can be such a handful." he shrugged and shoved his hands into his pockets. "You guys wanna pair up tonight? Since he wants us to kill more people . . . I suggest we take some precaution. If one were to get caught or into some kind of trouble, we'll have someone to back us up. " he said in an unusual calm and eerie tone that sounded just like the voice he always used. He waited for a response, it was better to travel in packs or at least two's to watch out for each other because he knew Gato wasn't going to. He was just another pawn in someones game like they all were even if he did think himself all high and mighty.
Before I Fall; Latch Key Kid
Dɪᴀʟᴏɢᴜᴇ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✦ #5c609f | | Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛ Cᴏʟᴏʀ ✧ #607B8B
There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.
- Jim Morrison
    ____A smile appeared softly on the face of Toshiro and Hitomi couldn’t help but close her eyes; a habbit she did in place of smiling. “ I haven't seen anything too unusual yet. You?" she shook her head in response and let her gaze drift around the room. It was as she expected, the walls like before were an off-white color that seemed to only enhance the dullness of the room. The white board was filled with first year equations and as she spotted a mistake she promptly corrected it. The standard deviation was not 4.3, but rather 4.6. Apparently the kid who had squared the absolutes didn’t do it correctly.
    There it was again, her need for perfection. No, it was rather guiding someone to the correct answer of the mistake they had made was relatively simple. [#607B8B]’I’m only helping him.’ she rationalized to herself trying to come up with a reason as to why she did that, but knew she was only telling herself lies. She wasn’t helping them, in fact they weren’t even there to witness her doing so.
    Turning herself around she faced Agent Toshiro and nodded at him, ”While we haven’t seen anything be wary. We’ve only been here for a few hours, anything could happen.” and with that she walked away but stopped herself. ”Watch the moon tonight, and try to get in contact with ag- Miyazawa-kun.” she corrected herself as other students began filling in. Blend in.
    ”If either happen, text me,” she finally let herself out of the room and with it her comrade. Hitomi then took out the cellphone from her skirt pocket and scrolled down her contact list until she found Toshrio.
    To: Matumoto
    From: Inoue
    I’ll have my phone on me at all times, I expect the same out of you too.
    As the message sent Hitomi finally looked up from where she was walking and realized her destination was right in front of her. ‘Room 307’ - Literature Class. Entering the class she felt a breeze of cold air brush past her face and involuntarily she shivered. But paying no mind to that she found a desk in the middle of the classroom and sat her stuff down. It might have been someone’s desk, but really she could care less. The last thought on her mind before the bell rang once more was that of foreboding and uneasiness.
So neither had she seen anything. Toshiro considered saying something, but instead watched as she rewrote a small part on the whiteboard. Correcting it? Toshiro didn't try to check her correction; following along with the equations in class was hard enough.
And just like that, with a few words, she was off. "I'll be careful," he muttered, more to himself than to her, and he watched her leave. He stood there for a bit, glanced around the room. Nobody was looking. He concentrated, lifted himself ever so slightly off the ground, just enough that he could feel his feet floating in air. He lowered himself slowly back down to the floor. Felt good to stretch it out, if only a little bit. He didn't get a chance to use it outside of the supernatural shelters. Most places in Japan it would frighten people who didn't understand those kinds of powers. Here, it would be safe, nominally, at least. Probably still frowned upon, though. He'd have to find a secluded place to practice his hoverskating during the investigation. Didn't want to get out of practice, and it could come in handy at some point.
Message from: Inoue, H
I’ll have my phone on me at all times, I expect the same out of you too.
He tapped out the return message, watching the clock.
Message to: Inoue, H
You can count on me.
And sent, right as the bell tolled. He returned to his seat and prepared to slog through more academics. Sciences would be a bit easier, at least.
Of course, he hadn't counted on being preoccupied with wondering what Kyousuke was up to. He supposed that he wouldn't see him much considering he'd be a senior, and Toshiro a sophomore. Still, it seemed weird he hadn't even noticed him anywhere.
Re: Rule Of 7
Who's up next to post?
Re: Rule Of 7
    Ah, My original post was deleted because I'm hella poop and I didn't save it on a text doc. -.-
Re: Rule Of 7
I'm a bit busy at the moment but if i can finish my project fast enough, i can get a post in tomorrow.
Re: Rule Of 7
Diarmuid was online yesterday, but hasn't posted anything...anyone PM'd them to see what's up?
Re: Rule Of 7
Hm... Where dia at?
Re: Rule Of 7
Working on a post right now, should be up in a few minutes. While I'm thinking about it, another question (sorry, these must get tiresome):
What sort of schedule is there? I've been modelling it after the Japanese school system so far, but I don't know if you had something else in mind. You compared the housing system to American universities; are classes similar to that, or is it more like Japanese high school?
Re: Rule Of 7
I will write something! The beast will be happy to kill four people.
Posted! Poor Rosalind. Having to kill four people. Slightly losing control of her own body and soon her mind. I cannot wait!
Re: Rule Of 7
    I would make one too but I have no idea what I would put. Maybe she could try and find Toshiro? Diarmuid O'Dyna hasn't been on since the 19th so I trying to interact with him would be worthless.
Re: Rule Of 7
I will spray all of you to death
Re: Rule Of 7
Who's up to post next? Would write something up, but eh.
Re: Rule Of 7
Jeeze, been really progressing through this CS slowly, just been a busy weekend, moreso than usual. It will be done tomorrow, as I basically have no homework. But yeah, can't wait to see how the RP'll go.
And now for an amazing gif:
Re: Rule Of 7
Goddamnit Cosmic. At this point I might as well just spray myself with water every five seconds or so QQ
So the people they kill are from the school right? Just random kids that attend school that suddenly go missing. I just wanna make sure.
They are random students or teachers of the killers choise. How they are killed, where they are killed and what time is up to you all
Re: Rule Of 7
Alright, there's the post. Miiiiiiiiiiight've accidentally tagged the whole cast... Anyways, gonna finish my bio now and justify Mue's ability. Feel free to call him by that nickname just to shorten things up.
Re: Rule Of 7
    Haha sorry for all the questions, but does the school know about the investigation? So if the investigators wanted to look at say, absences and tardies and stuff like that, could they?
Re: Rule Of 7
Will be posting in an hour then work on the CS. Currently under time constraints, but I'll get it done.
Re: Rule Of 7
Posted, and edited slightly to reflect that Toshiro isn't late. I thought it would be a bit silly for all of the investigators to be late for class.
Also, in case it isn't obvious, I'm stating it for the record, and may add to his bio: Toshiro lives off campus in a small flat with his father. They decided this would make it easier for their working together on this case, as well as providing an off-campus "safe house" in case things go south on campus. I'll add a note about this as well as the floor plan of their flat in Toshiro's profile.
Re: Rule Of 7
    I edited my post so Hitomi goes back home once a week, and will live on campus. Just thought it would make for more interaction lol.
