Years ago, the government created a disease they planned to use as the next bomb to send off to north korea. The first infection was spread when a worker that created the disease was infected by breathing in the deadly chemicals used to create the infection. Once infected, this worker was quarentined, but it was already too late. He had alrady been out in the world and infected other people. Touch spreads the disease. Any one infected, dies a slow death and eventually turns into a tick. A tick is a zombie like creature, with a heart beat. They are alive, the only difference is they survive off of human flesh. They rip apart any person they can find and eat them. These things are, or were, human long but aren't anymore. Their life span is dramatically decreased, to only a few months, but in this short time they can kill hundreds of humans. If a human is touched by a tick, they turn into a tick.

The few survivors that are left listen to the survivor radio channel every morning to save themselves, but one morning there was something unexpected broadcasted. It was an odd day, because the usual thing that is boradcasted are areas that still have supplies and to stay indoors if possible. The thing that was bpradcasted was a safe place to go to. Somewhere where no one has to worry about the ticks anymore. It sounded like a dream come true, something no one could believe. The survivors almost began to think that their worries could go away, that the fight to survive was over. But it wasn't. The problem with this place is, its a hierarchy based system. There are five districts, each containing their own wall and varying levels of safety. The fifth district, is by far the least safe as it is the newest district. The other four districts are further in the Safe Zone and are guaranteed to have protection.

Once you're in the Safe Zone, there is no leaving. An ankle bracelet with a tracking device is placed on you, and the founder of the district you're placed in is to watch you. The district you are placed in is determined at arrival with all of the founders gathered and each person being auctioned off. There are other problems with the Safe Zone as well. The law system is very faulty. Even the lightest of crimes aren't taken lightly and execution is the typical response. Will you survive?
